And teach others, other brothers and sisters who don't know about Him, what we have learned. So, I have this verse in Joshua 1, verse 9. That comes to me a lot because I feel like He is giving me the instructions there, and He knows me more than anyone, right? So, in that verse, He tells me to pay attention and study this book, which is the Bible, right? For me, this is my instruction on how to live. If I feel down, I feel depressed, I feel like I can't hold on to that day, I just go to this book, because He made me, right? He knows exactly what I need. And when I need Him, I don't go to other places like drinking, or doing drugs, or other activities that we used to do in our lives. Now, I turn to Him, because I know that when I know that I know the truth, here is my solution. He gives me hope, He gives me courage, and He lets me know that He is by my side, and that I have to give all my battles to Him. Before, I didn't know how to do that, I wanted to fix everything myself. But when you do it, you do it for the same reason, right? If you do it the way you want to do things, it will never work out for you. That is the truth. You have to have Him so that everything works out well and is solved. In Joshua 1.9, if you have your Bibles, it says here, well, from 5 to 9, it says, During all the days of your life, no one will be able to face you. Just as I was with Moses, I will also be with you. Can you imagine? If He is going to be with me like Moses, that is already a lot, right? That is already big for me. That is having all the confidence, because He was always there with Moses. And then it also says, I will not leave you nor forsake you.
Be strong and brave, because you will make this people inherit the land that I promised you to their ancestors. In other words, it has been their family, all those who were there. It says, I only ask that you be strong and very brave to obey all the law that my servant Moses ordered you. Do not leave her, nor to the right, nor to the left. Only in this way will you be successful wherever you go. If He is promising me and telling me that if I study this, to know that I am safe, to be able to defend myself, right? Because there is a very spiritual war outside that is real. And it will try to destroy you all the time, because the enemy wants to destroy you all the time. So, before I was worried and I was afraid because I did not know how to defend myself. And sometimes it would make me sad or I would stumble. But now I am firm on the ground and I know that now I can fight against it and defend myself. Because now I have more understanding of how to fight my battles against the enemy. And then it also says, it just said here, Always recite in the book of the law, which has been the Bible, and meditate on it day and night. If He is telling me to do it day and night, I understand that it is very important. That for Him He is telling me to study it day and night. So for me that is urgent, right? He knows me more than I know myself. That's why I have all the confidence in the world. Fulfill carefully everything that is written in him. He is telling me to obey all the instructions that he left me. And so you will prosper and have success in everything that I have ordered. He is telling me again to be strong and brave. Do not be afraid or discouraged, because the Lord your God will accompany you wherever you go. How comforting that is for me, to know that he will always be there. And if I just obey him and do what he is telling me to do,
whether I like it or not, whether I understand it or not, that is not important right now. What I need to do is obey what he is telling me. That's why he is asking me to be strong and brave, because things are going to happen that I will not be able to understand yet. But I just have to obey him to be able to succeed in what I have, or the plans that he has for me. And as he tells me there, if he is going to be with me, it doesn't matter my battles, he is going to be there with me to get me through. That for me is an incredible thing, because... I mean, it's like, I don't worry. I say that that's where peace comes to me. And that can happen to you too. It's not just for me, he is saying it for all of us. I was also there, sitting there, in white, like you. I used to... Like when you are there, sometimes in prison, you lose hope, or you get discouraged, or you get sad, because many things happen there in prison, right? But I just didn't know before. I mean, I didn't have that wisdom that he was with me, that with him I don't have to worry, because worry doesn't come from him, it comes from the enemy. So... But the more I studied about him, the more I read the instructions he had for me, the more peace came to my heart, right? And then, another thing, I really believe it. I believe everything he is saying, because all of this is true.
Also... You get a love that... I don't even know how to explain to you how good he is to you, because in those moments, he is the only one who is here with you when you go to prison. If you have your mothers, and those are the ones who still have their mothers, those people still have a little more courage, because there is someone in the world. But you know that when you come to prison, your friends are never there. Those are not friends, because... And you can't tell me no, because it's true, right? But who was always there? Him. Jesus was always there with you. Also with me. The last time I went to prison, it was when I had an encounter with him. What I wanted to talk to you about now is the difference between an encounter and an experience with him. The experience is something that, for example, when you come to church, or as you are right now, and you experience his love, because you make them cry, because you feel it. The Holy Spirit, right? The Holy Spirit is in our heart. That's something we don't know sometimes, because I didn't know before that I had the Holy Spirit in my heart, that he lived there, that he had left me an assistant.
Jesus left me an assistant so that he would be my teacher, so that he would be my counselor, so that he would be my assistant. When we sometimes... I thought it was, as they say, my gut, you know, I thought it was my gut feeling, but I never knew. That's why I used to say, Oh no, I'm going to obey my gut feeling all the time because it helps me all the time. But I never imagined that it was the Holy Spirit that was helping me. So now that I know, I depend on Him. And sometimes when I can't make a decision or I feel like it's not a good decision, I ask the Holy Spirit to help me, the Holy Spirit. And sometimes we don't like the answer He gives us because we still want to do what we want to do, right? But remember that He knows more than we do. And I assure you, I assure you that it's the best decision you can make. There are times when, since I already have a relationship with Him, I talk to Him about everything. I tell Him, sometimes He gets surprised because I tell Him, like, the way I talk to Him, right? But I do have a lot of respect for Him. Of course, He is my Father God, but I have a lot of trust in Him that I can talk to Him directly, as if nothing happened.
I mean, like your dad, here in this life, here in the world. But I have so much trust in Him that even though He knows everything I do now, I still have trust in Him. Sometimes I think that He is laughing at me, not laughing at me, but like saying, oh, this girl who doesn't listen, right? Or doesn't understand soon. But that's the good thing about Him, that He has immense patience. He doesn't get angry because you go with Him all the time, or because you have questions for Him and everything. He is always ready. What's more, He gets sad if you don't talk to Him. And that's why now, on this day, I know that He is always ready to listen to me. I mean, I don't have... But do you know why I feel like this with Him now? Because I already had an encounter with Him. Because I asked Him for something in a very difficult moment, when they locked up my daughter and I couldn't be there with her. When I was always forced to be with her. And in that difficult moment, I knew that they caught her, right? And that I was going to go to the federal police because they arrested her for a lot of drugs. I felt useless. I felt that I couldn't do anything for her because I was locked up.
At that moment, I surrendered to Him. And I told Him that I was going to do it and I was going to obey Him. Whether He understood or not, whether I liked it or not, what He was going to put me through in this life, right? That I was going to obey Him anyway. And that's what I'm doing right now. I haven't gone to prison again. Obviously, it's something very beautiful that He did for me. It's an encounter that left a mark on my heart, that makes me want to be able to serve other people. Now I'm paying more attention. Now it comes from myself, from my heart, that I want to read my instructions. Before, it was boring. It wasn't interesting to me. I didn't understand it. I don't know if it was because of that. I gave myself an excuse not to read it. I said, no, I don't understand it. I don't even know where it is. But over time, as He is our teacher, He began to teach me. I love going to school because every time I go to school, I learn something different. That's why I tell you that when you have an encounter with Him, it's going to be very different. You don't even know what happened in your life. You don't even know what touched your heart. Now you want to walk differently, to speak differently. Now you have more love for your other brothers.
Now you want to help. Now you want to be a good disciple. Because now He is your... He is my homeboy, you know what I mean? Now, he is my best friend. So, simply because he is my best friend now, and because the trust between me and him is very strong, it is more difficult for you to sin. Because, simply, if I go here and I say, well, my mind is moving away from him, when he, since he is already very connected to my heart, then I can do it, I feel more ashamed, I don't want to sin anymore, because he is watching me. And he is very important to me now. I tell you to open your hearts, you can't, how are you going to teach yourself? Because I had nothing, I didn't even know, it's so ridiculous, that I didn't even know he was going to come again, until I met him when I went to prison. It's when, simply when I surrendered, I had to, as I had already said and promised him that I was going to follow him, I had to get my act together, right? Now, I had to, I wanted to know how he was going to help me, because he was so great, with so much power. And then, with time, I learned that he lives in me, in my heart, that I have the same power that he has. But you know why sometimes that power doesn't move? Because of faith.
Faith is not as we should have faith. But imagine, the disciples were there with him, they came to see everything, that's why they could put their hands on you and heal you. But to know that we can do the same, wow, that's incredible to me. And that depends on you, you have to obey and do what he wants. He tells me, I had that in my mind, that he told me here in Joshua 1, verse 9, that if I obey him, he will give me what my heart is asking for. And that stayed very marked in my mind, because I wanted my daughter to get out of prison. And all the time I have been obeying him, because now, because he has a plan for you, right? He has put me to go to prison to give you advice, to give you hope. And there are times when I don't want to go, right? It's the truth, because it depends on how you feel that day. But I go anyway, because he, and sometimes I ask him, can I go through this? And I just hear him say no. And as a daughter,
you get a little angry, but you know that those days are the days that I get the most blessed from those crusades. In Psalm 40, they tell me, in Psalm 41, verse 3, It says, He gave me a new song to sing a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see that what he did, and they will be amazed, they will put their trust in the Lord. And that is simply what happens with a testimony. That's why we give hope to other brothers. Because they notice especially with those who already know us, how we were before, and now, how we are right now, and how we want it, and how we obey. That they are simply surprised and want that too. And that's why we are here for us, for what we are learning, we have to teach it to our brothers too. Remember that you were there too,
and they say, They were in a state where they didn't know anything, or they were very depressed. But when God touched their hearts, that's when you get the hang of it, right? That the new brothers and sisters who are coming, that they also need the help that you didn't need before. And now you have that privilege that you already know about God. You have to help your brother. Because he has us in charge of following his word, to continue teaching, to continue bringing his souls to heaven. And, you know, being in ministry doesn't mean you have to be with him. You can do ministry wherever you are. Just say hello to everyone in the pod every morning, and give them comfort, give them encouragement. Just give them positive things so they don't feel sad. Explain to them about God, explain to them about God so they can continue like us, so they can feel the joy that we feel. It says in Jeremiah 42, verse 5-6, that we have to obey God, whether we want to or not. That's what happens to me. When I had the deal with him, I told him, look God, I'm going to follow you, whether I like it or not, I'm still going to obey you. And that's what I've been doing up to this day, obeying you. And the reason my daughter is going to be released this week is because of the obedience I gave her. And I thank my Lord a lot, because everything he says here is true. So, he warned me that he never lies, that he keeps his promises, because he's going to keep the promise he promised me next Thursday, right?
Because I'm going to raise my daughter now. And I'm so grateful and happy to know that everything he says is true. I'm an example of that scripture, what it says here in Jeremiah 42, verse 5-6. The last thing I'm going to leave you with is, read John 15, verse 1. And there Jesus explains to them, where he gives a metaphor used by Jesus in the gospel, that he indicates that he is the vineyard and we are the branches, right? And if we move away from him, then we will eventually dry up, until we die and fall out of the vineyard. Yes, we have to be connected to him all the time, so that he gives us fruit. And the fruit he gives us is the transformation that one will have, because one will give birth to love. Suddenly people will say, that brother feels the love he has for Jesus. And God simply does that, because he loves us and cares for us. And it's something very simple, right? But sometimes we try to do something good, but you need to have an encounter with him. The Holy Spirit lives here. We can't complain and say, how do I do it, how do I do it? Listen to the Holy Spirit, he will help you. He will always guide you on the right path, and explain to you what you have to do, because with thoughts he will guide you. I want to thank you for taking your time and listening to this teaching, right? Because now, I never thought I was going to teach this or anything, but it also says there, it's another affirmation that he says, that whatever he puts in you, he will give you everything you need to be able to do it.
I thank you brothers, I love you very much, and keep going and know that God loves you with all his heart. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Music
