The Kind of Faith That Amazes Jesus

that we're simply calling miracles. We're just asking the question, does God still do miracles? And if he does, can he still do one for me? Can he do one in my life? I'll give you the spoiler alert for the series. The answer to those questions is yes. God still does miracles and yes, you better believe he can do one in your life. Today, we believe it today. Come on, does anybody believe God can do a miracle today? Well, we believe in God for it. You know, miracles are kind of this, kind of a funny thing. We, we tossed this idea of miracles around and we kind of associate a miracle with a whole lot of different things. I heard about this preacher one time who decided one Sunday he was gonna pray for a miracle. And so he told, he told the church, if there's anybody in the church who needs a miracle, he wants them to come forward and he would pray for them right there on the altar at the start of the service. He just wanted to pray for them. And there's one guy who stepped out of his seat kind of reluctantly, he looked a little rough around the edges and he came up to the preacher and he said, I need a miracle for my hearing. No, the preacher was so excited. He's like, this is my moment.

So the preacher took his hands and he put him over the man's ears and he began to pray for the man's hearing and pray and believe in God for a miracle. When he was, when he was done, he looked at the man and he said, okay, so how's your hearing now? The man looked a little confused. Wasn't quite sure what to say. He said, well, I don't know 'cause I don't see the judge for three more weeks. (congregation laughing) Oh, come on, that's funny, oh, that's so funny. That's so funny. (gasping) Miracles, miracles. We, (laughing) the back row's just getting it, I know, it's okay. (congregation laughing) It's okay, it's okay. We kicked off this series last week with a theme verse and I'd love it if you'd memorize this verse over the course of the next couple of weeks. I think it'd be a good one to put into your heart. The scripture says this, your ways God are holy. What God is as great as our God. Now read the next part with me everybody. You are the God who performs miracles. You display your power among the peoples. I love that little line. You're the God who performs them.

Notice it doesn't say performed in the past tense. So miracles aren't something relegated to the past. Miracles aren't just stories told from the Bible, but he performs them in the present tense. God is the God who performs miracles. And I told you last week that in this series, we're not just talking about kind of the everyday miracles. These are not the miracle of the moment kind of miracles. These are not the sun rose today, it's a miracle. Or I got a good parking spot at the mall today. It's a miracle. Or my door dash came and for the first time ever they didn't forget the Chick-fil-A sauce. That's a miracle. You know, those aren't the kind of miracles that we're talking about in this series. In fact, a lot of the things that we call miracles really are more of just the providence of God. It's God working in our lives and in our world, the way in which God works. That's called the providence of God. We have a God who's involved with his creation, a God who didn't create and then remove himself, no God that stays connected and continues to work always in the world that he created. This is why your heart beats. This is why your blood flows. This is why the sun rises and the sun sets. That's the providence of God. But sometimes, sometimes God acts in extraordinary ways,

unusual ways, oftentimes even outside of the bounds or the limitations of nature. And it's those kinds of miracles that we're talking about. I gave you this definition last week that a miracle is a less common kind of God's activity in which he arouses people's awe and wonder and he bears witness to himself. That's a miracle. And the Bible is full of these kinds of miracles. Last week, we looked at an Old Testament miracle and I taught you the language of miracles. You don't want to miss it because it lays the foundation, the language of miracles today though. I want to take you over to the New Testament and today is a, it's a bogo everybody. It's by one, get one today. And I'm gonna give you not one, but two miracles today. Get fired up, not one, but two. And we're gonna look at these two miracles. And from these two miracles, I wanna show you today. your miracle? Today, if you came here needing a miracle—I don't know many of us did. You came here and you need a less common kind of God's activity in your life, an extraordinary way that God works. Not in the normal way that God would work, but in an extraordinary way. You need a miracle, maybe in your body, for healing. You need a miracle for your marriage. Your marriage is going off the rails.

And you know the only way, the only way your marriage is saved is through a miracle. Maybe you need a miracle in your mind or a miracle to calm your anxiety or maybe you need a miracle with something at your job or in your finances or with a relationship that is way too gone for you to ever think you could put it back together again without a miracle. If you need a miracle today, I want to teach you, from these two miracles of the Bible, but it is the one thing that might be missing in your life that could be keeping you from the miracle that you need in your life. Let me show you the first one. This miracle is recorded for us in the Gospel of Matthew and also in the Gospel of Luke. The Bible says it like this. It says, "When Jesus had entered Campernum, a centurion came to him asking for help." And I don't want you to miss that little line, asking for help. It's going to become a very important phrase in just a moment, asking for help. The centurion was asking Jesus for help. Now a centurion would have been a high-ranking official in the Roman army. Now a centurion would have had a hundred men assigned to him. He would have been over a hundred soldiers, and those one hundred soldiers would have been at his beck and call any time, day or night. So this centurion would have been a very powerful, very put together, a very prominent officer who, because of his position, rarely if ever needed to ask anybody for any help. But he has a need, and he's asking for Jesus' help, and this is what he says to Jesus. Here's his need. He says, "Lord, Lord, He said my servant lies at home, paralyzed, suffering terribly." And so Jesus said to him, "Shall I come and heal him?" And the centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof, but just say the word and my servant will be healed." In other words, I've been following you. I know about you. I believe in you.

I've been watching you, and you don't even have to come to my house to perform this miracle. I know you have so much power and you have so much authority that you can actually perform this miracle from right here far away. We're 12 city blocks away from my house, but you can perform this miracle from here. You can say the word here and my servant will be healed there. You can do it here. It will work wirelessly for you, Jesus. You can do it from a distance and you can perform this miracle from right where you are. Now I want you to see what happens next because this man's response to Jesus evokes a response out of Jesus. The Bible says this when Jesus heard this, when he heard that this man said you can perform the miracle from here, you don't even have to come to my house. And Jesus heard this, he was, and say the word with me, everybody, he was amazed. I need you to get that. That he was amazed. And he said to those following him, truly I tell you, I've not found anyone in Israel with such great faith, with such big faith, with such audacious faith. Jesus is like, this guy, whoa, this guy has something that nobody else that I've ever met has, this guy has really big faith, really audacious faith, incredible great faith. And Jesus is so moved by this guy's big faith that it says, then Jesus said to the centurion, go, let it be done just as you believed it would, according to your belief, just as you believed, and look at this, and his servant was healed at that moment. Come on, that's a miracle, everybody, and it's awesome, it's awesome. The first miracle. and from miles away, he wasn't even in the presence of Jesus. Jesus speaks and the servant is healed. He's the God who performs miracles. He's the God who performs miracles. I want you to think about this. Think about it from the servant's perspective. Maybe the servant didn't even know that this was going on. Perhaps the servant had no idea that the centurion had gone to get Jesus. Maybe he just laid up in the bed, sipping on a little Campbell's chicken noodle soup. Ben's watching another episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. You know what I'm saying? Like, "Come on,

what are you doing? You're sick." And maybe he has no idea what's happening, but suddenly, at that moment, he feels tingling in his feet, because remember, he's paralyzed. Suddenly, at that moment, he feels pain released from his body, because remember, the Bible said he was suffering. And suddenly, at that moment, but we had no idea what was happening outside of the natural, something supernatural had happened, miles away, and this suffering servant is now whole, healthy, and well. He's healed, and I want you to see. Jesus did the miracle, because he's the God who performs miracles. But I also want you to see that the centurion is the one who had great faith. It was the faith of the centurion that ultimately led to the miracle of the servant, his great faith, his great faith, great faith, big faith, miracle-working faith, maybe the missing ingredient today keeping you from your miracle. In fact, if you're taking notes today, write this down. Faith is the only thing recorded in the Bible that amazes Jesus. That's it. Faith. Faith is the only thing recorded for us in the Bible that causes Jesus to say, "Whoa!" That gives the attention of Jesus to say, "That's awesome." It's faith. Faith has the ability to stop Jesus in his tracks. Faith has the ability to grab Jesus' attention. Faith is the only thing we're told in the Bible that amazes Jesus. In fact, we just read that Jesus was amazed by this man's big faith, great faith, that is the faith of this man that moved Jesus to perform the miracle. Now, I want to show you, I want to show you, though, that there's another time in the Bible where on the contrary, there was actually someone's lack of faith that kept Jesus from doing a miracle. So here Jesus was motivated to do the miracle because of a person's great faith. But I want to show you where somebody's lack of faith hinder Jesus from doing a miracle. And this story is just like bonus. This isn't part of the Bogo deal today because this is a story that doesn't have a miracle, all right? So just hold on, we're going to get to the second miracle in a moment. But I want you to see the importance or value of faith. One time Jesus comes to his hometown, a place where he's treated his common place, a place where people aren't expecting anything out of Jesus or from Jesus. And I want you to see what happens. The Bible says this, he, that's Jesus, by the way, he could not. So Jesus could not do something. That should get our attention. What do you mean Jesus could not do something? He's Jesus. No, Jesus could not do something. What could he not do? Jesus could not do any miracles there. That should have our attention. He could not do any miracles there except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. In other words, he could have done more. But he couldn't do

more. And the reason he couldn't do more is this. He was amazed. The second time we see Jesus amazed in Scripture. He was amazed at their lack of faith. So in the story we just read, Jesus was amazed at the man's great faith. And he went on to perform an incredible miracle. But here in this story, Jesus was amazed at their lack of faith, their little faith, their small faith, and it prevented him from doing a miracle. Are you getting what I'm saying today? That there's something significant about faith In fact, if you want a title for this message, maybe I should've given it to you at the start of the message. I don't know, but here's the title I've given it, amazing faith, amazing faith. If you grew up in church, you're like, "Wait a minute, isn't there a song like that? Isn't there like an old hymn we used to sing about amazing faith?" No, that's amazing grace. It's an amazing faith, that faith amazes Jesus, and right now your faith is amazing to Jesus. For one of two reasons, either you have a big, audacious faith like the centurion, or you have a small, itty-bitty, weak, and wobbly faith like those in Jesus' hometown. But faith is amazing to Jesus, and amazing faith is the key to miracles because you can't have a miracle without big, audacious, grab the attention of Jesus' kind of faith. Let me give you the second miracle, the second one I promise you, a little longer of a story. You're still with me? Everybody okay? Have I told you you look good today? I'm just trying to make a friend. You know what I'm saying? Here's the second miracle. The Bible is so awesome, by the way. Have you read your Bible this week? Anybody read the Bible this week? It's awesome. All right. Here's the second miracle. I'm stalling because my iPad didn't want to cooperate with me right now. The Bible says this, "When the crowd saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with awe, and they ran to greet him." By the way, let's just take a little time out. We should be overwhelmed by awe, and we should run to greet him today, watching those baptisms happening on our campuses today. Are you kidding me? We should run to Jesus, overwhelm by awe. Look at what Jesus has done. It's awesome. It's awesome. Jesus asked them, he said, "What's this arguing all about?" Jesus asked. And one of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, "Teacher?" He said, "I brought my son so you could heal him." Can we just

all agree, parents? Can we all agree? There's no pain like kid pain. Can we agree to that? So there's no matter what's going on in your life today. Nothing hurts like kid pain hurts for a parent. And this parent is feeling kid pain. He's feeling the weight of a son who's terribly, terribly sick. And now we know why, because he says, "My son, he's possessed by an evil spirit that won't let him talk." And whenever the spirit seizes him, it throws him violently to the ground. And then he foams at the mouth, and he grinds his teeth, and he becomes rigid. The man says, "So I asked your disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn't do it." And Jesus said to them, now look at this. Jesus said, "You faithless people. You people who lack faith." Remember, faith is amazing to Jesus. Remember, faith is required for a miracle. And this miracle wasn't happening. And Jesus says, "Hey, the reason the miracle isn't happening is because you are faithless people. How long does that be with you? How long must I put up with you?" Hello? Jesus is a little bit frustrated with his disciples. Do you get it? He's a little bit like, "Hey, y'all should have this by now. You still don't have it." And then he says, "Bring the boy to me. Bring the boy to me." Let me just stop for a moment because there's somebody here today. And you've got a problem that you've been trying to solve, and you've got a problem that you've been trying to take to somebody else to solve. You've got a problem that you've been asking somebody else for input on. You've got a problem that you've been trying to figure it all out or get input from somebody. You've been going to chat GPT asking, "Hey, how do I deal with this? How do I resolve that?" You've been looking at all the outside sources, and Jesus says, "Bring the boy to me. Just come to me. Bring me your problems because the way to get our problems solved isn't all those outside sources. It's Jesus, everybody. Do you get it? It's Jesus. Bring the boy to me." So they brought the boy, but when the evil spirit It's all Jesus. writhing and foaming at the mouth. How long has this been happening? Jesus asked the boy's father. He replied, "Since he was a little boy." A little boy, a little boy. The spirit often throws him into the fire

or into the water trying to kill him. This has been going on for a long time. I've been carrying this burden for a long time. I've been hoping for a miracle for a long time. I've been needing help for a long time. I've been in pain for a long time. Anybody relate to that? This has been a long time coming. And it just seems to be getting worse and worse and worse and worse and worse. And the man says to Jesus, "Have mercy on us and help us." Help us. He said, "Help us if you can." Now here's my favorite part. My favorite part, 'cause I think Jesus gets a little attitude. I like attitude Jesus. I know you like kind, sweet, gentle, you know, stroke the lamb Jesus, but I like throw off the lamb, put off the fist and have a little attitude Jesus. 'Cause now Jesus has a little attitude. And he says, "What do you mean if I can?" I picture a little roll of the neck. Yo, his me? What do you mean if I can? Jesus says, "Anything is possible if a person believes." Anything is possible. And the father instantly cried out. I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief. Wait a minute, would you say? No, I do believe.

I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief. Like I came here today 'cause I believe. Of course I believe. Of course I believe. But right now I'm living in the reality of my circumstances. And my son, who I believe you can heal, has actually just now been thrown on the ground by the evil spirit and he's foaming at the mouth and he's rigid. I do believe, but I'm living with the reality of this. Help me overcome my unbelief. I believe, but I don't know if it's enough belief. 'Cause there's a little bit of unbelief that's snuck into my life. I'm fully convinced today I'm preaching to a whole bunch of believers. Way to go, you are awesome believers. But if you were to be honest today, you would have to say for a lot of us, there's a little bit of unbelief that's crept in, a little bit of unbelief. Like I believe you can heal my body. But I've been the doctor so many times, there's a little bit of unbelief. I believe, I believe that you could restore our marriage. But we've been fighting for so long and we've grown so far apart, there's a little bit of unbelief. I believe that you could calm my mind and bring peace to my heart.

But I woke up in the middle of the night last night just freaking out with anxiety. So there's a little bit of unbelief that's crept in. You see, I believe, but help me overcome my unbelief. That is an awesome prayer. It's an awesome prayer. Let me tell you why, 'cause it's an honest one. It's an honest one. 'Cause anybody who's carried a need for more than a day or two, anybody who's carried a need like this father for years upon years upon years, hoping for resolution, hoping for help, hoping for a miracle, if they were to be honest, would have to say, I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief. And the Bible says this, that when Jesus saw the crowd of onlookers, it was growing, he rebuked the evil spirit. Listen, you spirit that makes the boy unable to hear speak. I command you, come out of this child and never enter him again. And then the spirit screamed. And through the boy into another violent convulsion and left him, the boy appeared to be dead. In fact, a murmur ran throughout the crowd as people said he's dead.

He's dead, he's dead, he's dead. He's dead, but read the next two words with me everybody, but Jesus, that's the best two words of the whole story. But Jesus, one of the best phrases in all the Bible, but Jesus, that's the phrase. But Jesus, I was lost, but Jesus. I was hopeless, but Jesus. I was sick, but Jesus. I was lonely, but Jesus. They said, he's dead. Look at it. But Jesus took him by the hand, helped him to his feet, and he stood up, and the boy was healed. It was a miracle. It was a miracle, but Jesus. You see, it was a miracle 'cause he's the God who still works miracles. And it was a miracle because this father had amazing faith. Not perfect faith. Not perfect faith. Just faith enough to say, I'm gonna bring my son, and I'm gonna put him in public. And I'm gonna put him at risk. And I'm gonna put my reputation at risk, and I'm gonna get vulnerable. And I'm gonna ask Jesus for help. 'Cause I believe that Jesus can do a miracle. I believe. But help me overcome my unbelief.

It was not perfect faith, but it was amazing faith. And what I'm trying to say to you today is you don't need to have perfect faith today for a miracle. You just have to have enough faith to bring whatever problem, whatever need, whatever issue is in your life to Jesus and believe that a miracle is possible. Because miracles happen in an atmosphere of faith. And faith creates the atmosphere for a miracle. I just, I'm trying to teach you today that Jesus is drawn to faith. And wherever Jesus is, miracles can happen. So get your faith up. Get your faith up. 'Cause a miracle can happen where there's an atmosphere of faith. Now that doesn't mean, that doesn't mean that if you have faith, you always get a miracle. That's not what it means. That's not how this works. It also doesn't mean that if you didn't get your miracle, it's because you didn't have enough faith. That's not what I'm teaching. Faith is not like some magic jelly bean, all right? Faith doesn't guarantee a miracle, but I guarantee you'll never see a miracle without faith. Let me say that again. Faith doesn't guarantee a miracle, but I guarantee you'll never see a miracle without faith. You have to have faith

because it creates the atmosphere for miracles. So you don't control the miracle, but you do control the faith. And I wonder today, do you have amazing faith? Amazing faith. I wanna teach you today three things about amazing faith. If you're not taking notes yet, I'd encourage you, school's in session, summer's over everybody, all right? Get out the notes page, open up the water's edge shirt to app, follow along. I want you to write down these three things about amazing faith. This is a way to know, do I have amazing faith because it could be that amazing faith is the one thing missing in your life between you and your miracle. So do I have amazing faith? Three things about miracle working, amazing faith. Number one is this, amazing faith has a need. Amazing faith has a need. But both of the men, the centurion and the father in the story, both of these men come to Jesus with a need. And there's one line, they both say it. They both say it. And this is hard for men to say, but they both say, help us, help us.

Could you just say that with me everybody? Help us, come on, all the men, men, men, it's time. It's time. I know you don't ask for directions. I know you don't read the instructions. I know it is rare in your life that you say, help us. But I just wonder, can this just be a man moment all in the church today? Could all the men join me and say it with me? One, two, three, help us. Ladies, come on. Now all the women are like, I'm trying. I'm trying. Both of these men said help us. Faith recognizes the need for help. I can't do it, fix it, solve it, restore it, mend it, repair it, heal it on my own. I need a hand greater than mine. And if you have a need today, if you need help today, then you're the perfect candidate for a miracle. Perfect candidate. Now look, if you polished your halo on the way to church today, and everything in your life's going peachy keen jelly bean, and things are at the highest they've ever been, and you got it all buttoned up and put together and no problems at all, you can kiss your miracle goodbye,

'cause the reality is you don't need one anyways. But if you showed up today with a real need, and if something greater than you, your circumstances are beyond you, the problem you're facing is too great for you. The decision you gotta make is outside of you. The relationship you're trying to put back together, you've tried many times before and you can't do it. If you showed up today with a real need, then the reality is you're the perfect candidate for a miracle, because amazing faith always has a need. Always. One of my favorite quotes by Pastor Jim Sembellus says this, "God is attracted to weakness. "He cannot resist those who humbly and honestly admit "how desperately they need him. "Our weakness, in fact, makes room for his power. "If you've got a need, he has a miracle. "The psalmist who saw God do many miracles said this, "I lift up my eyes to the mountains. "Where does my help come from? "My help comes from the Lord, "the maker of heaven and earth. "If you have a need today, get ready for your miracle, "because your help is on the way. "Your help is on the way. "This is what big faith is made of. "Great faith that amazes Jesus always starts with a need. "Number two, amazing faith. "Number two always asks, always asks.

"These men were not quiet about their need. "They asked, help us, help us. "He'll my servant. "Jesus, he'll my son. "They asked, the only way you see a miracle "is if you have faith that is bold enough to ask for it. "James said it like this, "and we studied it together last month. "James says we do not have because we do not ask God. "And could it be today that the reason you're missing "your miracle is simply because you haven't asked for it. "You haven't asked God for it. "Jesus said this, therefore, I tell you, "whatever you ask for in prayer, believe, have faith, "that you will receive it, and it will be yours." That means a miracle will be yours if you ask for it in faith. Now I'm just trying to set somebody free today from small-minded, cookie-cutter, limiting prayers. Don't get me wrong, don't get me wrong. You can bring any care or any concern to God. Nothing is too small for God. But I'm asking for somebody today to believe this, that nothing is too big for the greatness of our God either. So you can believe God for something great in your life, for something difficult, for something even seemingly impossible. I'm asking you to believe that you can boldly enter into the throne room praying audacious prayers,

believing for miracles that are as big as God himself. The Bible says this, that he is a God who can do anything, anything you know. Far more than you could ever ask or guess or request, even in your wildest dreams. And that's who I'm believing in. That God who is stronger, mightier, bigger, the God who created the whole universe and can hold it in the palm of his hand. I'm believing in the God who is all powerful and all knowing and ever present and the God who invites us to ask. If you have a need, then I wanna give you permission to ask God for a miracle because anything is possible with him. Come on, I said anything is possible with God. Do you believe that today? Get your faith up. This is amazing faith. Amazing faith has a need. Amazing faith always asks. Number three, do you have amazing faith 'cause amazing faith truly trusts. They came to Jesus believing in what Jesus could do. But I actually believe there's more to the story. There's something deeper in these stories. I think more important than what Jesus could do. When you read the story and you see the way they approach Jesus, you see the way they speak to Jesus, you understand that it's more than what He could do. It's who He was.

That they came to Jesus because of who He is. And I would suggest to you today that maybe that's the hang-up many of us have with miracles. We get hung up and focused on the miracle as the means by which God moves. That's the miracle, how God moves. And can we just be honest that God moved in powerful ways in both of these stories? I mean, in both of these stories, God moved the way you and I would want Him to move. Jesus healed the servant, Jesus healed the boy. We cheer for the miracle. That's awesome. But amazing faith truly trusts. And what that means is that amazing faith focuses less on the way that God moves and more on the God who is moving, that amazing faith is more about who God is than what He does. What I'm trying to say is that God wants your faith to be bigger in the who than the what. God wants you to focus more on the God who does the miracle than the miracle He does. And this is part of amazing faith because it's learning to trust God even when there is no miracle, even when there is none. Like what do you believe about God when He doesn't do the miracle? What do you believe about God when He doesn't answer the prayer? It's easy to believe in a God who performs miracles when you experience it. But what about when you don't? And I'm talking to a lot of people today. A lot of us are there right now. We believe God for a miracle. But it hasn't happened. We pray for healing, but there's still a funeral. We pray for a baby, but the nursery's still empty. We pray for a breakthrough, but we're still stuck. Pastor, I got faith. I got faith. But why didn't God do the miracle?

And here's the answer, here's the answer to the question. Because He's God, because He's God, maybe the miracle wasn't part of His plan. Maybe the miracle wasn't part of His timing. Maybe He did do a miracle, only it's not the miracle you thought. Or maybe He's doing something that you and I have no ability to see or know or understand or even begin to comprehend. Maybe there's some greater purpose than what we can see. A faith that amazes Jesus is a faith that speaks the language of miracles and says, "God, I know you can, but I trust you even if you don't." It's a faith that truly trusts. This is amazing faith. And so if you need a miracle today, agree with the psalmist who said it like this, that all that I am, wait quietly before God. My hope is in Him, I believe. The alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken, my victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. Oh my people, trust in Him at all times and pour out your heart to Him for our God is our refuge. This is amazing faith. It's a faith with a need. It's a faith that always asks and it's a faith that truly trusts. And it is the ingredient of miracles. I'm telling you today, God is able to perform a miracle in your life to meet every need. And even if he doesn't, he's worthy to be worshiped. And even if he doesn't, you can still trust him, because he is our refuge in our time of need. Do you receive that, everybody, today? So here's what I've been praying. I've been praying that Jesus would be amazed at our faith.

Think about that today. Jesus who was there when the stars were put in place, Jesus who saw the brilliance of every color in the first rainbow, Jesus who has seen everything, Jesus who performed countless miracles, Jesus could be amazed in this moment today by our faith. Amazing faith, do you have it? If you have a need and you ask and you trust, Jesus will be amazed. And I want to pray today, joining my faith with yours for every single person who needs a miracle today. So would you bow your heads? Would you close your eyes? Just a few more moments together. But if you say pastor, that's me, I'm going to ask you to be very bold and I'm going to ask you to be very vulnerable in this moment. But God, God is waiting for you to ask him for help. Think about that. The God of the universe wants to help you today. Do you have a need? Do you need a miracle? Do you believe? Do you believe today that he can do it? If so, let's ask him for it. So if that's you and you'd say pastor, I need a miracle today. I need a miracle. Would you just boldly shoot your hand high in the air? Just hold it there. I want to pray for every single person in need of a miracle, an uncommon act of God in our life. Wow. God bless you. Now just lift your hand like God's going to give it to you.

Believe in faith today, Father, I stand boldly before your presence to declare we believe. So help us overcome our unbelief because some of us have been carrying this need for a long, long time. And we need you. We need you desperately, Jesus, to help us. So I come against every lie of the enemy that says, oh no, you're not qualified. You don't deserve it. God could never do it. It's too big. No, no, those are not true. Hey, we stand in faith believing that you are the God who performs miracles. So do it again. Do it for my friends. Do it for our church. Do it in our lives. Meet every need. Perform miracles. We ask you boldly and now we truly trust you. We know you are able. We know you are able. We believe. But even if you don't, we still worship you. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you. With heads bowed eyes closed, you can put your hands down and I want to pray for one other group of people today. You need to know that Jesus loves you so much that I want to cross to forgive you of your sin to make you right with God in heaven and that your response to him now is to receive his free gift of eternal life. If you've never started a relationship with Jesus, this is your moment.

This is your time. I want you to say yes to Jesus Christ. Give your heart and life to him. You'll never be the same. I'm going to lead you in a simple prayer and I pray this prayer silently with me right where you are. Say, Jesus, I want to know you. I want my sin forgiven by you and I want to be made right with God in heaven through you. So come into my life and be my Lord and my Savior. Thank you, Father, for every person receiving their miracle today, for all of us growing in our faith. Thank you for this word and thank you that our faith is amazing to you today, Jesus.
