A Prayer For A Miracle

We're calling it miracles, and we really do believe in them. We believe that God can do a miracle, everybody. (congregation applauding) What's your remaining standing for just a moment as I read with you our theme verse for the series of messages. And I think this is a verse that really would be great for all of us to memorize, to put down deep into our hearts and put it to memory, the scripture says this. It says your ways, God, your ways. Your ways are holy. What God is as great as our God. That's what we just sang about. There is no God as great as our God. He's the only one worthy of worship, the only name worthy of our praise is our God. Yeah, come on. (congregation applauding) I want you to read this next line out with me. This is the whole premise of our entire miracle series. Would you read it out loud with me, everybody? It says you are the God who performs miracles. I love that line. You display your power among the peoples, and we're believing this God who performs miracles is right here in our midst today, and he can perform one in your life. We believe it for every single person in need of it today. I want you to do this as you're preparing to find your seat. I want you to pick one of your neighbors,

one of the people beside you, maybe front and back, or we're on the side. Just pick the one that looks the best, or smells the best, or saying the best, all right? You just pick your favorite. And I want you to give them a high five as you're seated. I want you to ask them this question. Ask them, can you see it? Can you see it? Give them a high five. Ask them, can you see it? And then you can be seated. Can you see it? Put it over in the chat if you're online. Can you see it? That's the title of today's message. Can you see it? Before we jump in, I want to just give you a little review in case you missed one of the first two weeks of this series, and we've really been building off of a definition of miracles that might be different than how you think of a miracle. A lot of times we think of miracles as these everyday ordinary occurrences, how our heart beats and the sun rises, or I don't know, you got to church on time today. It's a miracle, right? And so you think of miracles in those terms, but a lot of what we describe as miracles

is really the providence of God. It's just God working in the world in which he created. God is always at work. God's always involved. But there are instances in history and in our lives where God works in uncommon, extraordinary ways. And that's what we've been talking about in this series called Miracles. Here's the definition we've been using, so we're all on the same page today. A miracle, it's a less common. So it's not usual, but a less common kind of God's activity in which he arouses people's awe and wonder and he bears witness to himself. And that's what a miracle is. And today I want to ask you the question you asked your neighbor. You know, can you see it? All right, what if you're missing your miracle simply because you aren't looking for it? What if there's a miracle right before your very eyes only? You can't see it. Can you see the miracle? Today I want to teach you how to have eyes to see miracles, how to have eyes to see miracles. Now, I don't know if it's just me, but I wonder, would you agree that generally speaking, generally speaking, maybe not true in every situation, but generally speaking, would you agree that women are better at seeing things and finding things than men?

Would you agree that everybody? I think it's kind of a giving, I don't know. Maybe it's not true in your house, I don't know, but in my house to have to find things a lot quicker, a lot easier than I can't, like, I don't know what it is, but if you ask me to go to the refrigerator and find the bottle of ketchup, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Like, I can guarantee you that by the time I get back with a bottle of ketchup, your french fries are cold. I'm just promising you that 'cause I can never find it. I can't see it, I can't see it. If the remote control isn't sitting on the coffee table where it's supposed to be, I will literally turn the living room upside down, but I can't find it. I can't see it. I don't know what it is, it's a problem, I know, I get it. And God forbid, if I cannot find my AirPods, if they are not sitting on the corner of my desk where I thought I left them, y'all, I will go into straight panic mode. Like, and I will go to the worst case scenario, which is, somebody stole 'em. Every time I can't find 'em, somebody, listen, and they didn't take anything else, but they wanted my AirPods. They took my AirPods 'cause I cannot find 'em, and I'm now losing my mind 'cause I can't see it. Tabitha, on the other hand, makes it look so easy. She will literally open the refrigerator door

and pull out the bottle of ketchup. There it is, it was there in front of my eyes the whole time. She will literally turn over one couch cushion, and she'll find the remote control, right? It's just right there. It's almost as if she hit it there. (audience laughing) So it's not just me, that's what you're saying. 'Cause I actually, men, I have a little conspiracy theory about this, I really do believe that the women of the world are conspiring against us men, and I think this is the way it works. They just all decide, we're gonna hide the thing, we're gonna ask them to go find the thing. When he can't find the thing, I'm gonna go find it where I hit it, and then I'm gonna show it to him and make you feel like the idiot that he is. That's my theory, I don't know if it's happening in your house or not, but that's how I think it works. And if it's not that, I don't know what it is, 'cause I just can't see it. I can never, I can never, I can never find it. And today I wanna take you, I wanna take you to a scene in the Old Testament where there's a miracle, and it's a pretty awesome scene. It's an incredible, less common kind of God's activity, a miracle, but there's a guy, and he's got a lot like me, and maybe a lot of the other fellows in the room today. And he just, honestly he just couldn't see it. Like it was right there, but he couldn't see it.

And from this miracle today, I wanna teach you to pray a prayer that I hope all of us today can lead from here praying, especially today, if you came here in need of a miracle, and the prayer that I wanna teach you today goes like this, open my eyes that I may see. Open my eyes that I may see. Would you just read that prayer out loud with me everybody? Open my eyes that I may see. Now look at me, because some of you today, you came here needing a miracle. It is unquestionable that you need a less common kind. Of God's activity in your life. Not the normal kind of way God works, but you need God to show up in a situation. You need a miracle. You need a miracle of healing in your body. You need a miracle of restoration for your marriage. You need a miracle in your finances, or a miracle in your mind, or something's going on with your kids, and you're at the end of your rope, and you need a miracle, or you need a miracle with your business, or a miracle to break that addiction. I know it's not everybody today, but I know there are some of us today in the room, and we would say we need a miracle, and what I really hope and pray, I really hope and pray today that you'll begin to pray this prayer with me.

For every person needing a miracle, open my eyes that I may see, because I believe for many of us, your miracle, it may be right in front of you. You've just got to have the eyes to see it. So one more time, in this time, in this time, would you pray this prayer as a prayer? Not just out loud with me, but would you like make it a posture of prayer? Open my eyes that I may see. Would you pray it with me, everybody? Open my eyes that I may see. I believe in God's gonna do that in your life today. And he's gonna use this story from a really famous Old Testament prophet named Elisha and his servant to open our eyes that we might see miracles. We find this story tucked away over in the Old Testament and it's a story when Elisha and his prophet need a miracle. Elisha, the prophet and his servant, have traveled to a city called Dothan. In fact, let me show you, let me show you Dothan. This is like show and tell Sunday, all right? I loved show and sell elementary schools. So let me give you the visual. This would be modern day Dothan and it's hard for you to imagine, but down within the valley would have been the ancient city of Dothan. And what I really want you to notice

is that Dothan was in the valley, but it was surrounded, look off in the distance. It was surrounded by hills. Dothan was surrounded by mountains and Elisha and his servant end up in this city called Dothan and yet they find themselves in a situation where they need a miracle. God had given to Elijah a very special unique ability. God had given to Elijah the ability to know where the enemies of Israel camped at night. And so every night, Elijah knew where their enemies were camping, and so Elijah would tell the king of Israel where his enemies were, and thus providing protection and security for the nation of Israel. And so when the word got out, there was a leak, there was somebody spreading the message, and it got pinpointed back to Elijah. You can imagine that Israel's enemies wanted to shut it down and shut him up. And there was one king, king of Aram who knew it was Elijah, and so he decided he was going to go and capture Elijah so as to keep him from spilling the beans and being the leak and telling of his location. And that's where we pick up in the story because it was going to take a miracle, a miracle to save Elijah. Let me show you what the Bible says. It says, "And he," that's the king of Aram, sent horses and chariots and a strong force, a mighty army there, and that would be to Dothan. They went by night and they surrounded the city, so they surrounded them in the middle of the night. This would have been a surprising surrounding. Elijah didn't see this one coming. This one seemingly came out of nowhere, and I should just acknowledge that that's the way it often is when we need a miracle. I mean, really, let's face it, if you can plan for it, and if you can prepare for it, and if you can come up with ways to handle it, you probably don't need a miracle. But there are some situations in life when you get the phone call in the middle of the night that there's been an accident. When you get the message in the dark of the night that your spouse isn't coming home, when you wake up in the middle of the night overwhelmed with fear and gripped by anxiety, that's when you need a miracle. When you feel surrounded and you don't see a way out, you're the perfect candidate for a miracle because that's when miracles are needed the most. And that's the way it was for Elijah and his servant. They're in Dothan. They're surrounded now by their enemy. And the Bible says this, it says, "When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots

had surrounded the city." So the first thing the servant sees when he wakes up, like before he's even got Folgers in his cup, the very first thing that the servant sees. He opens his eyes, he looks out in the horizon and surrounding the city of Dothan where Elisha and his servant are staying. He sees the enemy's army and he's confronted with the reality we're in trouble. Like, hey, we're surrounded. We need a miracle to get out of this. And I want you to see what he says next because this is often what you and I say when we find ourselves in need of a miracle. The servant said this. He said, "Oh, no, my Lord, what shall we do?" That was his question. What are we going to do? What do we do? We're surrounded. We're in trouble. We're in over our heads. Like, we need a strategy. We need an exit plan. We need some action steps. We need to do something to make sure we can get out of this mess. What do we do? That's what the servant said, but pay close attention to what the man of God, the prophet Elisha says, because he replies and says this, "Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. The servant says, "What do we do?" And Elisha replies with what not to do. What do we do? Well, here's what we're not going to do. We're not going to be afraid. If you want to have eyes to see a miracle, you have to overcome fear. You have to overcome fear. And I actually think that fear is fostered by this question. What do I do? What do I do? Oh, my goodness. I'm surrounded. What do I do? Oh, my goodness. Look at my enemy. What do I do? That fosters fear. Oh, my goodness. I have cancer. What do I do? Oh, my goodness. Our marriage is in trouble. What do I do? Oh, gosh, my finances are really hitting rock bottom. What do I do? What do I do? When I need a miracle, That's what we ask, and because we ask that question, what does it do? It pushes the responsibility to get out of it back on us, so no wonder you're afraid. No wonder you're afraid. If I was counting on you to get me out of my situation, I'd be afraid too. See how it fosters fear. Now don't get me wrong, there are sometimes where you need to do something. You need to do something.

Like if you need a miracle in your finances, you need to do something, you need to get on a budget and stop stopping at Starbucks every day, everybody, okay? Like you need to do something. If you're overwhelmed with anxiety, you need to stop scrolling on Instagram for hours on end before you go to bed, you need to do something. I'm just telling you, there are some times in life where you need to do something. And if you need to do something, here's my message for you, do it, do it. If you need to do something, do it. In fact, if you can do something, you should do it and you don't need a miracle. But there are sometimes in life. And some of you're living in it right now. You're at the end of yourself, you're at the end of your rope, you've done all you can do. There is nowhere else to turn or nothing. There are some situations in life. There are some enemies that are so great as they surround your life. There are some valleys that are so deep and so dark, that the only thing that'll get you out of it isn't you. But it is God. It is in those moments that you need a miracle. And so I'm just saying, it's time in those moments to stop asking, what do I do? And it's time in those moments to start asking,

what do I believe? What do I believe? You see, when I need a miracle, a less common kind of God's activity in my life, it's not about what I do. It's about what I believe. And I think the servant asked the wrong question. He asked the question because he wanted a way out. He asked the question because he wanted a strategy. He asked the question because he wanted to protect himself. And when you truly need a miracle, it's not about you doing anything. It's about trusting in the God who can do everything and calling on him. That's the point that if you want to see a miracle, you've got to look beyond yourself. Elijah said, here's what you don't do. Here's what you don't do, you don't fear. You don't respond in fear. And you don't fear because of what you believe. So you'll never see a miracle if you have eyes of fear. You have to have eyes of faith, eyes of faith. And that's what the prophet Elijah had. Elijah had eyes of faith. In fact, when he says, do not fear, he says why? And he tells the prophet, look at it. He says to the prophet, those who are with us are more than those who are with them. To which of you are the servant hanging out with Elijah, you're like, excuse me, sorry, time out.

What math class did you fail out of? Because I'm doing the math right now, and there's one, two. That's it, two of us. That's all I see. There's two of us, and there's a whole bunch of them. What do you mean? The math ain't mathin, Elijah. Like what do you mean there's more of those who are with us than those who are with them? What do you mean by that? What do you mean? Elijah is seeing something that the servant can't see. Because Elijah has eyes of faith. In fact, this is why it's not about what you do. Because when you need a miracle and you focus on what you do, being outnumbered is a problem. Think about it. If you're relying on you and what you can do, then being outnumbered is a big problem. (chuckles) But if what you care about when you need a miracle is what you believe, then being outnumbered is no big deal. Not if it's about what you believe. 'Cause I believe my God is greater. Hello? My God is greater than anything that comes against me. My God out numbers even the greatest army. My God is greater than the darkest oppression. My God is greater than the worst cancer. My God is greater than the most oppressive addiction.

My God is greater than the deepest rejection. He's greater than all the enemies. The world might wanna throw at me and it might surround my life. If I believe my God is greater than the fact that we are outnumbered doesn't have a problem 'cause my God is bigger. You see it everybody? Elijah said, "Don't fear, there's more on our side than on theirs." And then he prays our miracle prayer. The prayer I want to teach you to pray today when you need a miracle. Look at it, it says this, that Elijah prayed. "Open his eyes, Lord, that he may see. And then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked, and he saw the hills." Remember the hills in Dothan? He saw all the hills full of horses and chariots of fire, all around Elisha. And this was a miracle because now the servant wasn't seeing the enemy's army anymore. Instead, the servant was seeing Heaven's armies surrounding the enemy's army. He was seeing God's angels' armies. And he was seeing an army that was, in fact, greater in number than those who were against them. Full of horses and full of chariots of fire. He was seeing his miracle. He was seeing it with his own eyes. I want you to notice this, that when the Lord opened the servant's eyes, it doesn't say that that's when the Lord sent the horses and chariots of fire in the angel's armies. It doesn't say that when his eyes were opened, he saw the horses and the chariots of fire on their way to surround in the mountains. That's not what it says. It says, he saw them there already, which tells me they were there all along. He just couldn't see them.

He couldn't see his miracle, but it was there all along. And I wonder today, could that be your story? Could it be your story that right in front of your face? It's like the ketchup bottle in the refrigerator, right? In front of your face is your miracle. It's simply you can't see it yet. It's there, but you can't see it. You've got to have eyes to see a miracle. I think there are three things today, three things that will keep you from seeing your miracle. I want to teach you these, three things that will keep you from seeing your miracle. Number one is this, you'll never see your miracle if you're only looking at what you can do. You'll never see it. If you're only looking at what you can do, if you're a husband here today in need of a miracle and you want to be the solution and you want to be Mr. Fix It and you want to be the Savior, you'll never see a miracle because you're relying simply on what you can do, but miracles are found on the other side of dependency. You've got to learn to depend on the God who can do for you what you cannot do for yourself. He can do a miracle, y'all. The psalmist knew this. The psalmist saw so many miracles and I love what the psalmist prayed. The psalmist said, "I lift up my eyes to the hills." Remember those hills and dothin? "I lift up my eyes to the hills from where does my help come from?" And then he answers the question, "My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth." Maybe the key today to seeing your miracle is checking where your eyes are looking. Where are you looking with your eyes? The psalmist said, "I had to lift my eyes." I mean, yeah, I had to take my eyes off of my surroundings and off of my situation and off of myself, I had to lift my eyes to find my help. When the servant looked out, what did he see? He saw initially, he saw the army surrounding him, but when he lifted his eyes to the hills,

when he lifted his eyes to the mountains, what did he see? He saw the Lord's army, he saw his miracle. Maybe today, the problem in your situation is this, you're looking too much at yourself. You're looking too much in the mirror. You're looking too much at what you can do and not enough at what God can do. Lift your eyes to the greatness of your God and you'll start to see your miracles. God wants to do a miracle. You've got to lift your eyes to see it. Number two, you'll never see your miracle if you're only ever looking at your enemy. It's not just what you can do, but a lot of times, a lot of times we just look at our enemy. The servant didn't see the miracle because he's fixated on the enemy. Oh my gosh, we're surrounded by them. Oh my goodness, they're such a mighty army. Oh wow, they're such a big fierce army. Somebody today needs to stop talking about the size of their enemy and start talking You might today be surrounded by a situation that's bigger than you, I know many of us are, but your situation is surrounded by a God that is bigger than it. Makes me think of the verse in the New Testament that says this, "Greater is he that is in you "than he that is in the world. "He is greater." Makes me think of this verse that promises, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" And I love this scripture from the book of Jeremiah that says, "I am the Lord, the God of all mankind." And then this is a word for somebody's situation today. God says, "Is anything too hard for me?

"Is anything too difficult for me?" The answer is absolutely not. Nothing is impossible for our God. And so we got to get our eyes off of our enemy. We got to stop talking about the problem and start talking to the problem about our God. And I'm not suggesting today that you can't bring your problems to God in prayer. I taught you last week that nothing is too small for God, but listen, nothing is too great for God either. So get your faith up in a God who's greater than whatever situation you're facing. In fact, I love this scripture from the psalmist who says, "Oh, magnify the Lord with me." And let us exalt his name together. That idea of magnifying the Lord, making the Lord look bigger. That's what a magnifying glass does. It makes it bigger. Now, not truly bigger. In fact, there's nothing you can do today to make God big or small. He's already grand, hello. He's already big. God is, you can't make him bigger, but you can magnify him the way you see him. You can make him bigger in your mind instead of making him small in your mind and making your problem big in your mind. You can magnify him and when you do, you'll start to see with eyes of faith.

You'll start to see your miracle. That's why I love this little prayer I'm teaching you. Open my eyes that I may see. Instead of seeing the enemy, the problem, the need, open my eyes that I may see your grandeur, your splendor, your majesty, your power, and your might, 'cause that's when you'll start to see your miracle, some eyes are opening today, to see miracles right in front of your very eyes. Number three, you'll never see your miracle if you only look at the natural. And I think this was the servant's problem. He was only seeing what his eyes could show him. The natural was all that was revealed to him. Oh, we're surrounded by our enemies. Oh, we're in trouble, oh, we need a miracle. You're just seeing what is naturalized. This is a problem for a lot of us. You see, because we live in a natural world, we have conditioned our eyes to only see the natural. We only see the here and now, we only see the moment we're in, we don't see what's beneath that. We don't see what's behind that. We don't see it's ahead of that. We only see this moment, our eyes only see the natural. In fact, we've trained our eyes to become realists. You know what a realist is? A realist is a nice way of changing the title of a pessimist. That's what a realist is, y'all. That's what it is.

Like sometimes I'll be given an idea or somebody will say something, I'll be like, yeah, that's a bad idea. That's a dumb idea. I'll point out all the problems with that idea and they'll be like, oh, you're being pessimistic. And I'll be like, no, I'm just being a realist. I'm being realistic, you know? Well, you can't be a realist and see a miracle. You can't. You know, you gotta have eyes of faith if you're gonna see a miracle. You gotta have eyes to see more than meets the eye. You gotta have Elisha's eyes if you wanna see a miracle. And I wanna submit to you today that the prophet Elisha had actually spent a lifetime training his eyes, not just to see the natural, but to see the supernatural. Now, most of us have spent a lifetime training our eyes to see the natural. We wanna see good things with our eyes right now. We wanna see in the natural. But Elisha had spent a lifetime training his eyes to see beyond the natural to the supernatural. Here's why I say that. I went back and counted it up. and need a miracle. Prior to this moment, Elisha had personally experienced 14 different miracles prior to this moment already. 14, 14 different times in Elisha's life or somebody close to Elisha's life needed a miracle. 14 different times, they were at the end of their rope

and in the natural, there didn't seem to be a way out. 14 different times, they were at the end of their self and they needed God to show up in a less common, miraculous kind of way. 14 different times, Elisha had either performed the miracle or was there to witness the miracle being performed. 14 different times up to this point. He had trained his eyes not to see the natural, but to see the supernatural. And so of course, on number 15, when the servant says, "Oh my goodness, Elisha, we're in trouble. "I can't see a way out." Elisha says, "Open your eyes." Of course he does, 'cause he has eyes of faith. Of course he says to the servant, "Look again, because I've seen God perform miracles "in the past and I know he can do it again." When I'm trying to teach you to do today is this, get a new filter for your problems. Stop seeing your problem in the natural and train your eyes to see things in the supernatural. Look at the resume of God. He is the God who performs miracles. He's done them in the past. He can do them in the present. He's done them for somebody else. He can do them for you. God opened my eyes that I may see. I want to see the miracles in front of me, not with natural eyes,

but with supernatural faith filled eyes. And do you know that sometimes God, sometimes God will open your eyes and you'll see the miracle in the moment. You'll see it right then and there. And I'm praying, oh my goodness y'all, I am praying full of faith and expectation that that's gonna be stories that come from this series. That God opens our eyes and does the miraculous in our lives. I met a lady on the way out today with MS and she's praying that God would heal her from MS. I grabbed her in and said, "I'm believing God will do it." 'Cause he can't, he can't. That's about half the church that believes it with me. It's about half the church and that's okay. 'Cause listen, we don't all have to have faith filled eyes yet. Some of you are coming along. I'm praying by the end of the series, there's like two more weeks of it, so you better hurry up. But by the end of the series, then all of us will believe God for it. 'Cause he's the God who performs miracles and sometimes he'll do it right then and there. Open your eyes so that you can see your miracle. I'm believing God for it. But there are times where God doesn't open your eyes to see your miracle right then and there. There are times where unlike for the servant and Elijah, you don't get to see the miracle right then and there,

but you get to see something even better, even better. Let me explain to you what I mean. I was thinking about this place, this place called Dothan where the servant and Elijah were surrounded by their enemies and I thought to myself, I've heard that before. I've heard of Dothan before, so I googled it. And sure enough, sure enough, there's a place called Dothan, Alabama. It's the peanut capital of the world. Maybe you've heard of it too. And I was like, no, that can be something else. There's something else and so I dug a little deeper. And I discovered that there's another instance in the Bible where this place called Dothan is mentioned. It's in Genesis chapter 37, if you wanna write down the reference and study it on your own. Dothan, the same place where Elisha and his servant were surrounded, Dothan is the place where Joseph's brothers decide to throw him in the pit and leave him for dead. Do you remember that story? Joseph the coat of many colors despised by his brothers. And his brothers are out in a place called Dothan. And Joseph goes out to meet them and they take him and they throw him in a pit and they're gonna leave him there. They're gonna leave him there for dead. Only they have a change of heart

and they decide to sell him to some slave traders and he's carried off to Egypt. And that happened in this same place, a place called Dothan. She got me thinking, oh, there was Elisha and his servant and they needed a miracle in Dothan and then there's Joseph, Joseph who needed a miracle in Dothan and maybe you and I, maybe you were living in a place kind of like Dothan. We need a miracle, we need a miracle too. Same city for Joseph and Elisha. And I just showed you, on the one hand, Elisha and his servant, they got their miracle. It was awesome. They could see it right before their very eyes. But Joseph, I need you to know this, Joseph did not. He has stories sometimes, he's carried off and he's sold into slavery, he's falsely accused and he's wrongfully imprisoned. He's forgotten about time and time and time again. It doesn't look like there's any miracles happening for all Joseph. But there is one phrase that gets repeated over and over again in the Bible about Joseph's life and all of his moments of despair and all the difficulty and all the struggles and all the hardship and all the suffering and all the strife when he needed a miracle over and over again, but he didn't get it. The Bible tells us this repeatedly, it says, "The Lord was with Joseph." So he couldn't see his miracle. He didn't get rescued, he didn't get reunited with his family, he didn't get to go back to see his father, he didn't get to go home, he got thrown into prison, he got wrongfully accused, he got forgotten about over and over again. He didn't get to see his miracle, but the Bible reminds us that the Lord was with him. And that's why I'm praying for you today, I'm praying of course God opened their eyes

that they may see the miracle, oh I pray it's right in front of your very eyes and you might get to see it today, I'm praying for that, but listen, my prayer goes beyond that, my prayer goes greater than that and deeper than that because even if you don't see your miracle, I'm praying, may you see your God, may you see him, he's in the hills, he's surrounding your situation and he might not send the army to save you, but he has already sent his presence to be with you in the valley, it's there, may you have eyes to see. And I pray you see your miracle, but if you don't, may you see your God. One more thing, because after Joseph is carried off from Dothan, after all of his hardships and trials, he's sold into slavery and he's thrown into prison, he's forgotten about. God eventually favors Joseph in such a way that he's promoted to the second in charge of all of Egypt and I don't have time to do the story justice, but it's Joseph who stores up enough food during a terrible famine to save all of Egypt. It was Joseph that did that, God used Joseph, a guy who couldn't see his miracle, God used him to be promoted to second in charge to store up food during a famine so that Egypt wouldn't starve and eventually, eventually his brothers, the ones who sold him into slavery heard that Egypt had food. Now mind you, they think Joseph has long gone, it's been 20 years since they last saw him, they don't have a clue what's happened to old Joe, that he's the least of their thoughts and least of their worries and least of their concerns, they just know this, if we don't get food, our family is gonna die and so they take a trek to Egypt and when they get there, they say we heard there's food here, who do we talk to? And they go before the man who is second in charge, a man they don't recognize, they have no awareness as to who he is, but you know his name's Joseph and the brothers stand before their brother and they beg him for food to save their lives and the lives of his family. You know what Joseph says to them? I love it. Joseph says, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, what is that, the saving of many lives?" Can you see it? I'm asking you, can you see it today?

Because Joseph could finally see it. Joseph finally could see 20 years earlier when I needed a miracle back in Dothan, I couldn't see it and all these events happened and I couldn't see the miracle but I'm testifying today. now I could stand here and give you food to save my family. I can see it now. Sometimes you won't see your miracle today. Sometimes it won't be 20 years later until you get to see the miracle that God's been working and the miracle is He was with you all along. May God give you eyes to see your miracle and may you see your God. Would you bow your heads and would you close your eyes because there are people in this room today listening online within the sound of my voice who need a miracle? God open their eyes that they may see. You are the God who still performs miracles. Do it today. May nothing stand in the way. Get us outside of ourselves. Get us beyond seeing our circumstances. Give us eyes to see in the supernatural to see miracles. Do it in our day. Do it for our lives. Do it in every situation, God, in need of a miracle today. Perform it. Give us eyes to see. And even if you don't see your miracle today, may you see your God because it might take 20 years or 40 or 60, but God is performing miracles. We believe today. And nothing stands in our way of seeing clearly the miracles you perform. Thank you, Jesus. With heads bowed and eyes closed today, I want to pray for one other group of people.
