The Gift on the Tree

In his sermon, "The Gift on the Tree," Pastor Lyle explores the biblical narrative of redemption that begins and ends around a tree. From the tree of life in Eden that humanity lost access to, through the prophecy of a shoot coming from Jesse's stump, to the cross where Jesus bore our sins, and finally to the tree of life in Heaven—the entire story of salvation revolves around trees. Jesus is both the shoot from the stump and the gift on the tree of the cross, providing the only way back to eternal life with God.
