For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. Therefore, not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. (Hebrews 9:16-18 NKJV)

Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. (Galatians 3:15-18 NKJV)

Paul used Abraham as the example by showing God's unilateral promise by walking through the torn sacrifice without requiring Abraham to do the same. The promise of Abraham is ultimately fulfilled by Jesus Christ.

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might [receive] the adoption as sons. (Galatians 4:4, 5 NKJV)

He came to His own, and His own did not [receive] Him. But as many as [received ]Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:11-14 NKJV)

Received means to "to be given," "presented with," or "to be paid for."

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who [receive ]abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) (Romans 5:17 NKJV)

There is that word receive again. Verse 13, You and I were born of God.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. (John 1:17 NKJV)

And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” (Luke 24:17 NKJV)

But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.” (Luke 24:21-24 NKJV)

Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! (Luke 24:25 NKJV)

There are two indictments against the body of Christ.

(1) They were suffering from ignorance and lack of knowledge and revelation from the Word of God.

(2) When we don’t have revelation of the Word, we are slow of heart to believe.

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. (Luke 24:27 NKJV)

He told them that everything that Moses and the prophets revealed Himself (Jesus).

This tells us that every page in the Bible is about Jesus. Jesus is in the Old Testament concealed, and in the New Testament revealed. He wants us to study the Bible to see Him and all the things in the scriptures concerning Himself.

Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:31, 32 NKJV)

Emmaus in Hebrew means "warm baths" or "warm springs."

When Jesus expounded on the scriptures, the disciples' hearts experienced "warm baths." Their hearts were strangely warmed and comforted.

So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. (Luke 24:33-35 NKJV)

They walked seven miles to Emmaus and then walked seven more miles back to Jerusalem. When you are under and anointed ministry of Jesus your body responds, life comes, and profound and boundless energy flows.

My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. (Psalms 119:25 KJV).

Quicken thou me according to thy word, which means, "Give me life through Your Word."

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. (Acts 14:8-10 KJV)

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (Acts 13:38, 39 KJV)

This is the true ministry of any New Covenant Bible teacher or preacher, he seeks to unveil Jesus to you and qualify you by the blood of Jesus. He does not come to unveil your faults or bring your sins to remember or to disqualify you from entering God's presence and enjoying His blessings.

And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son? (1 Kings 17:18 KJV)

The devil wants you self-conscious, but God wants you Jesus-conscious.

The law is all about your looking at yourself. The new covenant Is all about your seeing Jesus.

Can they tell there's something a little bit different about you because that's what they should see So verse 16 says this in Hebrews chapter 9 verse 16 For where there is a testament there must also be a necessity for the death of the testator for where there is a testament There must also be of necessity be the death of the testator. Now. How many of you know anything about a wheel? Anytime the wheel was never no good. My children don't get anything until I pass Right, then they don't get nothing Okay. So in other words the last will in Testament is no good until the testator passes So the New Testament is no it was no good until Jesus passed Right now that he's passed. What good is it? What a good is it because 90% of people still reading the Old Testament Book of Revelation So what good is the New Testament, why did he write the New Testament What's the purpose of it? If we ain't gonna believe it. What's the purpose of it ain't gonna read believe it and receive it What's the purpose of if we ain't gonna read it? What's the purpose of the New Testament the testators died, right? Okay, let's go on verse 17

I'm gonna be real simple. I'm gonna be trying to slow down. I'm going straight to the point If There was no power under anything that was said under the Old Covenant No power For a testament is in force after men are dead since it has no power at all while the testator lives Now I'm gonna ask you a question. What kind of power do you have under the New Testament? I mean under the Old Testament You have none You have no power under the Old Testament because the testator hadn't died yet What kind of power do you have in the four Gospels None because the testator hadn't died yet. Now, what did he say? I want you to tarry in Jerusalem to you and do it with what? What's gonna happen when in power and the power comes the death of the testator? So the Old Testament has become annoyed and void and the New Testament has become where the powers that right? I'm telling you the Old Testament has no power right Because the testator hadn't died so you're not going to get any power in your life by reading the Old Testament Unless you can see the Christ in the Old Testament And that's why the church isn't seeing any power in their walk with the Lord because they don't know where the powers that Right look at verse 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without Blood so under the Old Covenant the blood of bulls and goats had no power Guys, it had absolutely no power All it would do they were covered because of the priest they were covered because of the blood of the sacrifice not covered They were cleansed. I mean they were covered not cleansed What am I trying to tell you the Old Covenant blood had no power because every year they had to go back and do a sacrifice That's why the church is walking around with no power Because there's no power without Christ the blood of Jesus done what?

When the testator died all the power came to the church We're still walking under the no power, even though we got all the power He said Terry in Jerusalem to your endured with power from on high. What's the power from on high Christ barrel death barrel resurrection? That's the power because until the testator dies, there's no power now go meet a Galatians chapter 3 So we're going to see Jesus here throughout the night and see how much power he really had. Even though under the old covenant there was a power, there was no power, there was a covenant and it was man's covenant and it was confirmed no one can annul it and no one can add to it. But look at verse 16, now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made he does not say and to the seeds as of many but as to one and to your seed who is what. So Christ was a fulfillment that brought power to everything established under the Old Covenant, right? Under the Old Covenant there was absolutely no power until Christ came on the scene and gave power to the Old Covenant. So everybody under the Old Covenant was redeemed by the power that come through the new covenant. So everybody that was lost under the Old Covenant brought back under the new. Guys I'm telling you now we got to get a hold of this thing because to your seed who is Christ, right? Look at 17, and this I say that the law which was 430 years later cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before God in Christ that it should make the promise of no effect. Now watch this, I want to read this again because I want you to get it. And this I say that the law which was 430 years later cannot annul. Now this was 430 years after the law, right? This covenant was cut 430 years later. Cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ that it should make the promise of no effect. Now look at verse 18. For if the inheritance is of the law it is no longer a promise but God gave it to Abraham by what? How many of you know that Abraham was here before the law came? Correct? How many of you know Abraham tithed before the law came? Who did he tithe to? Melchizedek, which represented Christ under the Old Covenant. That's why the Old Covenant has no power because we read it like a

don't understand that Christ was the fulfillment of everything. He made the power come back to the old that had no power. And now it has power because the Old Covenant was redeemed by the new. In other words, the Old Covenant had everything that the New Covenant had but the New Covenant had something extra. Right? It was based on better promises, better covenant. How many of us are walking in that covenant? Are we truly walking in that covenant? That covenant that has better promises. Now Paul used Abraham as an example by showing God's uniterated promise by walking through what? A torn sacrifice. He showed a unilateral promise by walking through the torn sacrifice without requiring Abraham to do the same thing. How many of you know that God cut a covenant with himself? He put Abraham asleep and then he sliced the animals and he walked through them. The burning torch and the smoking. Remember? Abraham cut a covenant with nothing. He had nothing to do with the covenant. He was asleep when God cut the covenant. He was asleep when he took woman out of the man to give the relationship. Everything about God he done it when you're asleep. The only way he can do anything is put you to sleep. So he cut a covenant with himself without Abraham being involved. Abraham was just a reciprocate or inheritance or an inheritor or the testator of the promise. You got it for free. God gave it to Abraham how? By promise. Think about that a minute. The promise of Abraham is ultimately fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Now we don't know that. So all the promises that he promised Abraham are yours. What you waiting for? What you waiting for? Well I believe that. I believe that. If I would believe it then why ain't it happening? Because we don't understand what the scripture really means to us. When you got an issue in your life, find you a scripture and stand on that scripture, stand on that scripture. Listen, nothing changes because of your problems. Nothing changes because of your obstacles, your circumstances. What changes is what's on the inside of you. You can have everything that you believe you can have. Because it's already yours. It's a promise to you. He gave it to you. The only way you can get it is ask back for it. You can't get it guys. It's been delivered. Himself delivered us from our struggles. Himself delivered us from our

problems. Himself took all your heartache so you don't have to have a pastor you don't feel what I feel. You're right. Let's go to Galatians chapter 4 and we can see how this took place. And when the fullness of time had come, God had everything promised even though the Old Testament had no power, Christ was in it all along. But Christ had to come to be the testator for the Testament, right? So all throughout the... Covenant here Jesus appears But then he takes on flesh when the fullness of time had come When the fullness of time had come God sent forth his son born of a woman born what? He was born under the law. Why why did he have to be born under the law? To cover the promise because the law had to be destroyed So he had to be born during that season in that time to destroy the law if he'd have been born any other time He couldn't have fulfilled the promise because the law was ruling the universe and now we've been to redeem because Christ died as a testator Of a New Testament and he left you as a testator and as a New Testament Reciprocate to receive the inheritance that he promised to you now You got to receive it because the powers here now that you have the power to promise was the Holy Spirit living inside of us You're full of God And so he had to be born at a certain time for this to manifest then there's a comma there look at verse 5 What he died for what he come for what was he born for To redeem those who were Now I'm gonna shake you Gentiles. You won't never even under the law It took the church to get you back up under it and it won't even for your nationality Think about it a minute. You ain't never been under the law, but yet you try to live by it Because you don't understand that you were never under it. The law was never for the Gentiles Moses wrote the law never lived under it When he when he during the time of the law, but he never lived under the law Right read the book That we might receive the adoptions as sons in other words. He to redeem those who were under the law For what purpose that we might receive the adoption as sons

Think about it a minute There's a scripture in the Bible that's very powerful Jesus said I didn't come to be served but I come to serve Servants and serving the Lord is under the law If you got any children tell me the last time your children served you The parents do most of the serving Me and my kids go out to eat. They all got jobs. They all got families and I still pay It ain't never gonna change I go my mama I still pay it ain't never gonna change What if we let him do the serving instead of you being the servant See if you understood that he was the servant That died to redeem you to make you whole You would understand that you're not a slave to him anymore Because a slave is never gonna be a son a slave can come to the house But he can't come in and spend the night The church still ain't learned they can come in and spend the night with the father They're still staying outside the door because they're church Now think about it a minute. I Now here we see that this is in red Jesus came to his own in his own receiving not who'd he come to Who was his own? the Jews So he came to the Jews and the Jews didn't receive him Now watch this. He came to the Jews and the Jews didn't receive him. I Want you to get a hold of this? But as many as received him now, he's he still not talking to the Jews. Certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said But him they did not see turn to somebody said didn't see Now let's go to verse 25 and he said to them Oh foolish ones and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken Now I want to stop right here just a minute because I want to go somewhere just a minute with you I want to take you on a little journey You know what happened here on the road to Emmaus Jesus is resurrected He's walking by the road and these two disciples come along and meet up with him And he's telling them and tell them about himself throughout the Old Testament And he's telling them about what he did and how he was and everything from the major prophets to the minor prophets and all the Way through the Old Testament. He's talking of himself and revealing himself, but but they couldn't get it Did you notice they couldn't get it But there was two indictments Today against the body of Christ when the Lord began to show me this this past week How many of you know there's two indictments against the body of Christ here? We're slow at heart to believe You can't believe because I tell you this thing's got to become a revelation on the inside of you now Don't you only see don't you see something? I'm showing you some great revelation right here You need to get a hold of it. Look at verse 27 of Luke 24 And beginning that Moses and all the prophets He expounded and told them all about now here Here's him and two guys walking down the road of Emmaus and he's telling them all about of him about himself He's telling all about himself He's what was he telling he was expounding to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself and they're walking with the one that's

I'm telling you about me I'm showing you me in the Bible and you can't get it now what's what happened and when their eyes were opened and they knew him and He vanished from their side Now watch this Their eyes were opened and they knew him. They didn't hear about him anymore. They knew him How did they know him by their eyes being opened? Now watch this let's go to 32 and They said to one another did not our hearts burn within us while we walk talk with his on the road and while he opened The scriptures to us now. The scripture now, why didn't they recognize that their hearts were burning prior the the warm bass was taking? in place, the comfortable words were taken away. Why didn't they experience that until they took communion? We talked about communion Sunday morning. Remember? Let's go to 33 through 35. And they arose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the leaven, and those who were with them gathered together. 34, saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon. He's appeared to Peter, man.

He's really, truly alive. He's alive. He's alive. We just talked with him. We've just been with him. Our hearts burned in us when he showed up. Let me tell you something. He doesn't need a preacher when he shows up. The only reason he's got preachers is to tell you about what can be, so you can experience what will be. Look at 35. And they told him about the things that happened on the road and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread. Look what transformed when they walked the seven miles to Emmaus. They walked seven more miles back to Jerusalem. Fourteen miles of walking. Seven miles hearing about the revelation. Seven miles walking back to discuss the revelation they had learned on the seven-mile trip. Pretty good trip for them dudes. When you're under an anointed ministry of Jesus, your body responds. Life comes. Profound and boundless energy flows. They could walk 14 miles because something had happened. They'd had a warm bath. They'd had a revelation of something they didn't have before. The body don't talk when the Spirit begins to speak. The body submits, and the Spirit gives life. Jesus was not concerned. He walked with these dudes for seven miles, and then all of a sudden, once they ate of the bread and drank the wine, he vanished out of their sight. And the Bible said, and they knew him. That's the same identical Hebrew and Greek word that means Adam knew Eve. In other words, they had an intimate relationship with this man, and now their hearts were fresh. Their hearts had had a warm, comforting bath, and they could walk back. Why? Because they had seen Jesus. Not, not, not in the person. They saw him in themselves. And they did, they experienced and knew that, hey, I know this dude now because I've just eat of his flesh and drunk of his blood. That's exactly what he was wanting to do in John chapter 6. And 70 of them left him to follow him no more. And then the other 12, he looks at and said, y'all want to leave too? And they said, no, you have the words to eternal life. Where do we go? He has the words to eternal life. Where are you going to go? What I'm trying to get you to see today is I want you to be more God conscious than you are self-conscious. The law is always going to point toward your mistakes. God's going to point through what he done for you. And that's the difference. I want to read this again. The devil wants you to be self-conscious. God wants you to be Jesus conscious. The law is about, all about you looking at yourself. And the new covenant is all about you seeing Jesus.
