One more time, make some noise for Jesus Come on, man, come on It feels good to be in the house with y'all man Take your seats real quick, go ahead and take your seats Because we got a long night ahead of us man And we want the legs ready to go To jump up and down and praise God So if, come on, man, God is good, ain't he? Come on, come on, so it feels good Like I said, it feels good to be in the house If you guys don't know, my name is Pastor Donnell And me and my wife V&A have We have the honor of leading your story church Which is on the west side of Houston And what's even more important is that We have the honor of being sons and daughters of this house Union Houston, right? That's a good thing But more importantly, man, Rod is a brother to me He's a best friend, he's my Chilean twin You know what I'm talking about? He ain't black, don't let him fool you You know what I'm saying? He's Chilean, right? But he's my pastor, he's a spiritual father He's so much to my life, right? And it's funny because what I love about Houston And y'all hear it and it's the heart And it's the vision, it's connecting people to God But let me show you Before it was some signs on this
Or some on the website It was me and him and a house in Lakeontin In Richmond, Texas where he sat down And he discipled me, but before that It's when he came to the prison And visited me and sat with me And when he answered my phone calls And he discipled me when I was in prison And so he reached out And he said, man, I want you to pray On revival nights, I want you to come And just pray and receive offering But tonight isn't about just an offering Tonight is about sowing seeds into miracles Right, it's saying, you know what God And if he says 320, it says that your spirit Is gonna work through me Through my resources, through my finances Through my family, through my talents Through my giftings You will do, you will change the world Through me And man, you guys have already been doing it Well, you see the back of them shirts Go and make disciples, boy This is a Matthew 28-19 church Come on, no, make some noise for that Y'all act like that's an everyday thing In a church these days But you're already making disciples
You're already helping low-income families You're partnering with a spring spirit For backpacks, for toys, for food to the culture and the sin of this world. Let me show you this because some of y'all might not be understanding the impact of your prison campus. Let's share my heart and pass the rock crazy enough to let me get on this stage, right? People are like, "Hey, hey Pastor Daniel, I saw you on the piano app, when I was in prison and I want to be a part of your church because I know where you have been." It is because of union Houston that that person is finding a hole. That's right, let's stand and give God praise. One time, come on, make some noise. One time for what he's already doing, come on, listen. No, no, no. So, so check this out, hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. What if we could do more? What if we could do more? What if it's your mom that needs to be saved? Y'all sit down, y'all sit down. What if it's your sister that needs to be free from that addiction? What if it's your son that has lost and is just taking one seed to be planted somewhere so that they can be reached, that they can hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and they life be restored to what God has called them to. What would you do? What would you give if that could happen? Because I'm going to tell y'all something. I'm going to tell y'all something because of the seeds that have been sold into union Houston, Ron, and Sarah don't even notice. I wasn't going to share it, but because of the seeds of love, because of the seeds of finances, I ain't going to go to other, but because of all the seeds that were planted in me, your story, church, and my family, listen, mama Johnson of self-proclaimed atheist lives in my house,
they see going to church next week with me, brother. Come on! Come on! Come on! Come on! Listen, when I tell you there's a revival, take your place! There's a revival, take your place! But in the book of Acts, when revival, the biggest revival ever, Peter, go out there, he's preaching 5,000, slaying in the Spirit, but I didn't say they're doing all these things. Do you know what happened? Do you know what happened? The community came together, the church came together and said, "Hey, we got to pull our resources. We got to make room so that they can share the gospel. We got to make room so that they can teach some more." So we're about to take an offering to make room. Make room for that person you've been praying for. Make room for that family member you've been praying for. And so this offering isn't about tonight. Let me tell you so, man, I've been saved since 2011. I've been praying for my mama. Ever then, sometimes it takes some time. Sometimes the warranty's got to be watered. [applause] Sometimes it's got to be watered, so I want you to take a moment. I'm going to be quiet for about 5, 10, maybe two and a half seconds. But I'm going to be quiet and I want you to close your eyes and listen, I'm going to tell you like I tell my church, I want you to ask God, what am I supposed to sow? How much am I supposed to sow? What am I supposed to give God? What are you calling me? And it ain't about what I want.
It ain't about what Pastor Ryder or Pastor Sarah wants. It's about what God wants you to do tonight. And we make it easy. You can just scan or tap. Scan or tap, but just take a second. Go ahead, go ahead. Take a second, close your eyes. Bow every eye close and just ask God, what do you want me to do? What do you want me to give? Because I got a person. I got a person that needs to be reached. That person may be in prison. That person may be around the corner, but I'm telling you right now you have an opportunity to sow into that and to make room for that person. So right now they're going to put up QR codes and we have tap technology. And I'm going to pray. And when I start to pray, I want you all to start to give. Can we do that church? Can I get an amen? Amen. All right. Here we go. Let's go. Let's get ready. All right. Dear Heavenly Father, my gracious God, we come to you to stay holy. Your house, God, to praise you, to worship you, to love you. And now is our opportunity to love you in generosity. Now is our opportunity to sow seeds so that people can have an encounter with you. It is an opportunity to sow seeds so somebody can connect to God because of what union
uses. What I'm doing, a union used in God. And so I ask that you use these finances. I ask that you use this seed that you multiply it, that you allow it to grow. wives that have discernment on how to spend and what to do with the resources that you have blessed them with." And Father, I pray over every person in this room. I pray over every need, every heart's a desire. I pray over every child, every wife, every husband. I pray that you meet them right where they're at Father, that realize that you are Jehovah, Jehovah, that you will provide for all things small or large. But that in this moment they hear your voice and they trust you. They trust you with their heart and they trust you with the seeing. Lord, we love you and we praise you in Jesus mighty name. And the church said, "Amen, amen, you know." Before I had money because your boy used to be homeless, right? The only thing I had to sow was my worship. The only thing I had to sow was my problems. The only thing I had to sow was my brokenness. And so just here in a moment when we're gonna pray and we're gonna sow our worship, we're gonna sow our praise. We're gonna sow into Him, right? Because here's the thing when I realized, when I began to sow my addiction into Him, when I began to sow my failures and my mistakes, He began to reconcile me. He began to reconcile me with Him first. Then He began to reconcile me with my family. He began to reconcile me with my brother. He began to reconcile me with my daughter. He began to reconcile me with my employment. He began to reconcile me with my finest. Y'all see where I'm going at this is because we have a God that likes to restore Him with the songs. They bring dry bones to life. And so we're gonna pray. We're gonna pray a union, Houston. We're gonna pray at your story church at Hope City. We're gonna pray on the east side, the west side, this side, that side. That all churches, that all believers are reconciled to God right where they're at tonight in 8th Townport, as in heaven, in Houston. Y'all feel me? So we gonna stand for this prayer. Come on, we gonna stand for this prayer. We're about to go in. There father, we come to you right now Lord. Hands high, lifted high to receive forgiveness. We come right now Father. We
come right now and right now I want you, I want you to start to repent for what you've done. So God can restore you, repent for the lives, repent for the sexual immorality, repent for the things that have been keeping you bondage so that you could be reconciled. It says in Romans 5-11 that we are reconciled because of Jesus Christ. So do heavenly Father, we repent. God right now we come to you and we ask the Lord that you just take our hearts, that you breathe your spirit into, that you allow our church, allow our church to be reconciled, allow this city to be reconciled, that you can move freely, that you can shift it, that you can change it, that you can do what only you could do there ever before. So God we open our hearts and we open our minds and we ask that we have more views than ourselves, that you take out that flesh and put in a new heart. A heart that's chasing you with all of the only. So God we love you and God we praise you in Jesus name and the church said amen. Come on that's worse of the more. We won't come the spirit of God in this room. You are worthy to be praise. You are worthy to be praise. We didn't come to be a spectator. We came to worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Come on give him a shout in this room. We came to worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We magnify your holy name Jesus. Sing hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. And some of us are going through storms and we need to be infused with that spirit that we will walk in his peace, that the storm looks like it's blowing, it's raining, it's battering down on our souls, but if we have his spirit in us, then we can walk in the victor and that's what the name of Jesus. ♪ Your spirit lives within me, my victory, my victory ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, so I will walk in your peace ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, my victory, my victory ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, so I will walk in your peace ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, my victory, my victory ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, so I will walk in your peace ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, my victory, my victory ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, so I will walk in your peace ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, my victory, my victory ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, so I will walk in your peace ♪ ♪ Your spirit lives within me, my victory, my victory, my victory ♪ - We walk in a victor that we did nothing to her, that we were saved by grace through faith alone. In Spanish, we say a vivamiento. Because it's not just that experience,
it's about becoming awakened to the spirit of God, that the spirit of God lives, you might be imperfect, but there's a perfect God that lives inside of you. You ain't gotta have all the answers, you ain't gotta have it all together, but you got a God that lives inside of you that has all the answers, that has it together. Maybe it was just what God told them to do, but what is special is that God is in control of this house. Man, if this is your first time with us, I want to welcome you. My name is Rodrigo Vargas. I declare it decreed that we will see them more often here at Union News today, man. Can I get a name in? Family's in the house, man. It is a great honor tonight. We have our oversee and pastor, Pastor Brandon Barbers in the house. He is the BBB, the triple B. He is Bishop Brandon Barber to us. Okay? And I just, before I bring you up here, I want to tell you how important this relationship to your pastors, because, you know, I didn't grow up in church. I didn't, I didn't, you know, have like a job. I didn't go to seminary school. I went to seminary school. I, you know, while I was with him, I didn't have the pedigree, if you will. And the Lord told me, he's younger than me. And, and he said, you gotta, that's your new pastor over there. And, and so I ended up following him. And we went and we helped him with a church plant in Third Ward, Texas. Amazing time of our lives. Amazing time. I had a heart for some of these stories overlap. Pastor Don L was locked up, and I'm discipling over the phone. And, and I'm telling you, I think I'm going to go over there with BB, you know. And, and I go over there with BB. And so because my best friend was in prison, I felt really called to go into the prison. And it just so happens, and Pastor Brandon and his father, Mike Barber, who, by the way, ordained me, not as my spiritual father, that they began to invite me into the prison system. And I began preaching at the Harris County Jail. And so I was having a blast just preaching on Fridays going in there, you know, coming out dog tired because we had to do back to back to back services. And I always remember we have this picture. I'm wearing a razor hat. He's wearing a jet hat. And we took the picture outside. But, but that day he said something to me. He said, Hey man, I think it's time.
You know, I came to his church and I said, God's put a dream in my heart to plant the church in the city of Houston and Anderson. And he heard me preach that day, he says, it's time. We need to start talking steps. And I need a god on my side And so I asked him hey, you got to send me Like you literally got a lay hands on me and say now you go and Start what God has put in your heart And this is what he did for us, but more importantly, I want to tell you what he did He saw what God deposited to me even before I had talked As a matter of fact, my plan was to plant the church a couple of years after We actually planted and he said no sir. You got to go now How many y'all know you need some people like that in your life where you got a dream and they see it in you And they say you got to go now And we're so grateful that him and Kristen his wife Pastor Kristen were so Instrumental and not just the success in our early years of overseeing us and advising us but being our cheerleaders and always believing in us and We watch their kids grow up they watch our kids grow up that he I was showing them my daughters over here They he met them when they were little now they're up here in the front row leading stuff and worshiping and and now I get to see His daughters grow through the same stages and this is what brother had talked about last night The proverb says that you know a friend loves at all times, but a brother is born for a time of adversity and this is another brother who happens to be your pastors oversee and pastor and He is an amazing man of God with a mission mind like ours with a vision and a heart for our city Like never before and and I got to tell you that we have a heart to unify all churches and come together For Christ to reach every household every family on every block possible family Before I forget this is really important. I don't know if BB's gonna do it or not, but There are some people here watching us tonight Online and this particular crowd is all the men and women that are incarcerated and watching us through the pando app And so Union Houston would you help me welcome all of our brothers and sisters? That's what it's all about right So I feel I feel very very honored to be here and actually I was gonna share that that story because I was thinking about the Times will first of all the first moment that we met I think walked into maybe just thrive I was like and you were you were the youth passion. I was like first of all, this is the oldest, but yet coolest youth pastor I've ever met And it's very accurate very accurate then showing up and helping us launch our church There's so many friends and family. We have the honored lead and pastoral phenomenal church for ten years and in the third ward And you were there and then I remember that day. I was like, bro, you know if you won't plan a church When you get some reps, let me take you to prison. I was like like you don't want everybody to welcome me to say Let me take it a prison, right? But you got to understand it. We were doing this thing. It was really cool in the Harris County jail I thought I'd forgotten about this. We're overseeing the Harris County jail our family's ministry I've been blessed my best friend my hero my father Mike barber is bad prison. Come on. We can celebrate Which by the way my wife and him both wanted to be here so bad tonight But our world is ministry in sports right now My oldest daughter is a senior playing a volleyball game right now So my wife is there and then my dad they're retiring his high school jersey at his high school tonight And so a really cool moment But with through our prison ministry oversaw the downtown Harris County jail, which if you did not know Second largest jail in the country 12,000 men women and youth there every single day and 75% of them are in and out within 48 hours
We gathered 30 to 40 pastors, and we literally blitzed the entire floor and within a day and a half, all 12,000 heard about the name of Jesus. It was, I mean, it was, so when he said, "Preaching a lot, I worked the brother." I wore you out, man. We preached like crazy, speaking about where, how about Pastor Donnell? How about what a great word for Pastor Donnell? My brother came up here and made that worship transition. And y'all know he lost breath, say, "Hah!" Say, "Hah!" "Man, Jesus, I'm gonna get a chin of Ross and Jesus." I love you, bro. I know you got that 5K tomorrow. We cheering you on, baby. Come on, this will be good. Hope you catch more breath than you did in worship, but it is the truth. And man, I think about those moments and I think about prison and I think about just doing life together. Thank you for being who you are. Thank you for being the rock. I've been with you in moments of cry moments. We've been in those celebration moments. We've walked this building together before this and all that God has done. Just thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your boldness when maybe nobody else saw it. Thank you for believing in this community. Thank you for believing in every single person here before you even showed up on these steps. I saw them praying for you 10 years ago. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Well done. My good and faithful servant. Can we honor your pastors more time? Come on, show us our love. We love y'all. We love y'all. Man, anybody, how many of you enjoyed revival nights? Come on, you're loving it. Come on, you ready?
I believe you fired up about it. Come on, see prom. Come on, prom time. Let's go. I like it. I like it. Man, it feels so good to be in the room and thank you. I know it is Friday night, but if you shot me down, I'll preach quick. Is that all right? Okay. And we're going to have some fun tonight and I believe God has given me a word because we didn't come to revive nights. By the way, this might be the last night, but how many no, it ain't stopping here. Y'all know that, right? This ain't the finish line, it's like weekend on the starting blocks. Man, God has done some great things in 10 years and we celebrating that some tonight of this weekend, 10 years ago. In fact, I forgot, I got a picture from 10 years ago, me and Pastor Rod on the first Sunday, do we have that? I'm going to show you this and celebrate this. Do we got that picture back there? It's going to be worth the wait, I promise. I had to search my folder from 10 years ago. If we don't have it, we can come back to it later. We'll come back to it later. Okay. I promise you, we'll get it. How many do you want to see it later? Come on. We're going to post some later.
It's a good pick, man. With the U of Me. Hey, anyways, here's what I do know. Here's what I know. How many know God doesn't stop here? God wants to continue to do more in your life. You believe it? Come on. Anybody come ready for God's word. Come on. You came ready? You came hungry. Come on. That's like 10% of you. You come ready and hungry. Come on. Hey, this is a little bit old school, but what you stand to your feet is re-read the reading of God's word. I'm going to read God's word, and then we're going to pray and we're going to jump straight in tonight. Come on. That's not all right. If you've got your babbles turned with me, I won't be very long tonight, but I do believe this. I believe if you lean in, God has put something on my heart and we're going to finish strong with some prayer and with some worship. By the way, how about that worship team? Come on. Show them some love. Unbelievable.
Unbelievable. But turning your babbles with me, I want you to put a bookmark in a couple of places. Ephesians chapter 3, and I'm going to get to it in a little bit, I want you to turn with me to where did it go here? I'll find it here and just say my iPad. So Romans chapter 10, but look in Ephesians chapter 3, starting with verse 14. If you're there, it can get a yeah. 14. It might be on the screens here for you. Here's what it says. It says, because I know we've been in a series in this revival. I've been talking about repentance, redemption, and reconciliation is what we're going to be talking, but reconciled being reconciled in Christ. How many thankful for what Jesus has done for you? Come on, anybody thankful for what He's done? But I believe God has so much more. So much more. Ephesians 3, verse 14, here we go, it says this. For this reason, I kneel before the Father. Notice His posture, His humility. This is Paul talking, from whom every family, by the way, that means every single person that is in this room has access to what God is promising right now. Somebody shout every family, and heaven and on earth derives its name. It says this. I pray that out of His glorious riches, He may strengthen you with power. It's amazing Pastor Ron talked about power because notice we're going to read this, the word power is mentioned three times in this passage. Through His Spirit in your inner being, it says this, in verse 16, I pray that out of His glorious riches, He may strengthen you with power. Look, I'm sorry, it's given out of verse 17.
So that Christ may dwell in your hearts, all the loved, my goodness, may dwell in your hearts through faith, and I pray that you being rooted in establishing love. Verse 18, "That you may have power together with all the Lord's holy people to grasp," this is beautiful, "how wide, how long, how high, and how deep the love of Christ is." And to know that this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may check this out, you may be filled to the measure of the goodness of God. I don't know about you, but I didn't come here tonight to get halfway filled up. I came here tonight to experience the fullness of God. Come on, how many want the fullness of what God has for you tonight? And we ain't going home here tonight, empty, some of the shout fullness, what the fullness of God, verse 20, now to Him is the beautiful part, who is able to do, shout it out immeasurably more, that we might ask or imagine, according to His power, there it is again, that is it work within me. Now I love this verse 20 in one, "To Him be the glory in the church," I'm going to say that again, "to Him be the glory in the church," you know how you give God glory is by giving Him your praise. "To Him be the glory in the church," and as Christ Jesus threw all generations forever and ever, amen, because how many know what God is starting tonight ain't just for you? Because for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. This is for you, for your children and for your children's children. If you're taking notes, here's what I want to talk about, and I feel a bit led by the Holy Spirit, and I pray that this is going to resonate with you as this, and here's what I know, there is so much more, there is so much more, come on, how many could use a little bit more for the Lord? Come on, anybody, how many you don't want to leave empty, how many more immeasurably more? Because God has said, "You've got your measure of joy, but then I've got my measure of joy." You got your measure of hope, but then I got my You've got your measure of blessing, but I've got my measure of blessing.
And whether you're in here in life is great, God is saying I've got more for you. Or if you're in here in your lowest moment, God says I've got more for you. Does anybody want a little bit more of what God has for you in their life? Come on, you believe it? (congregation applauding) God has more for you. God has more for this church. God has more for this city. I want some more. Come on, come on, come on. It don't sound grammatically correct, but somebody shout I want some more. I want some more, some more, some more. It's what it's all about. Let's pray. Jesus, do your thing. Holy Spirit, take over. Do what only you can do by moving in the hearts of others. Lord, as we're gathered here together, even though Pastor Ron is a Raiders fan, this is the year for the Texans. And we declared in Jesus' name in everybody's head. Amen. Amen. High five, two, three people will say there's more for you. High five, somebody else will say sing better next time in church. Dress better.
I might shout more, more. So much, I want some more. I want some more. So when I was thinking about this, about more, there's this kind of rise going on right now. I don't know if it's impacted in anybody, but has anybody been impacted by the rise and the cost of gas? Everybody just fell out. I mean, things were good until you mentioned that, brother. And I drive a diesel truck. Now, I ain't, yeah, exactly. Thank you. In fact, I've never wanted to drive a Tesla more in my life, but I don't know if it's prior to me, but I can't drive a Tesla in Texas. Come on, remember, I come, I don't know if I got another man in the house going to get a drug. It's always like, if y'all got Teslas, we got an altar here at the end. But, but that's why I rockin' and enjoy it. I don't know what I'm sayin' like it's like half saved. Anyways, but, but you know, you can learn a lot about a person by when they decide to fill up their tank of gas. You can learn about their personality. Come on, y'all know somethin' about this. Am I right? So with the show of hands, this is group participation. Where's a people that whenever the gas tank,
maybe Houston traffic or whatnot, you freak out and you use just a quarter of a tank, but you still got 75% of your gas tank full. How many of you freak out and you're gonna go fill up? Where you at, come on, where you at? Yep, all y'all my spreadsheet people. Come on, that's right, you like Google documents, everything in your life is structured, we hate you, but we need you, right, right? Y'all the type of people, right? Where are the my people at? Where you wait till the gas tank gets about half full. And then you gotta fill up, come on. There we go, there's a few more people, all right? Y'all like, y'all just, y'all the safe ones. Where's my people where you wait till it gets about a quarter of a tank. And then you see, there's more hands, right there. There we go, there's more hands, you're like, I ain't gonna get caught in traffic, I wanna push the limit, but I ain't gonna do it too more. All right, then where's the people at? That dial hits that E. (audience cheering) (laughing) Now I knew, here's what I knew, is I knew there's gonna be a lot of y'all, but y'all do know there's another layer, and that's where my people are at. You wait till that light comes on,
knowing you got it by 13 miles to go. Come on, just wave at it, brother, where you at? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I've seen y'all on the side of the road. (audience laughing) Yes you have, you freaking out and you need help. Y'all want to know people were on waves, you know what I'm talking about, you follow waves, and it's like, somebody stranded, are they still there? And you click, yeah, they there, and you keep on going, right, you know what I'm saying? (audience laughing) You ain't no good Samaritan. (audience laughing) I think about that, and I don't know about y'all, but I mean, I cut it close all the time. In fact, I bet if you go look at my truck right now, I bet you that light is on right now. (audience laughing) And if you go and you fill up, my people like that, you'll go and you'll fill up, have you ever filled up all the way? And you're like, man, I cut it too close, and so I'm gonna make sure that don't happen again. And so you fill it up right past her, and then all of a sudden you wait, 'cause you let the bubbles go down. And if you wait just a little bit more, you can get a little, about another gallon in, come on, am I right?
Where are my people at? Where you just get a little bit more thinking, I ain't gonna be on the side of the road again, but yes you is, you're gonna get on the side of the road again. Why do I say that? Because there's always room for... (audience gasps) There's always room, there's always room for more. Is that all right? When I read this scripture in Ephesians 3, this is Paul writing this from inside the prison. In fact, there's actually some friends who just went over to Rome and they had a chance to go into the prison cell with Paul and we might have a picture of it. I don't know if we got that picture of the prison and if y'all got that other pic, we can throw that up at any time. We got that picture of Paul in prison. If not, I can break it down and keep, okay, we good, we good, we good, we good right here. Hey, so there's a picture basically just imagine what we got. Look at that, the prison, y'all at any moment if you got that other one, just throw it up. It'll make my point. But I want you to look at this, okay? This is the actual prison cell that Paul sat in and he wrote this passage. And here he is, and I want you to catch something from this, that'll look like a fun place. And did you know it? It's day one, come on somebody, hey, he kept his hair and I lost mine. But I tell you, as from day one baby, ten years, let's go. Come on, that's where it's at. I told y'all that fit at any moment. All right, back to the prison cell. Come on, I love, how many of you know it's good to do life with family?
Come on, I'm all right, that's what it's all about. But here's what I want you to get. Is I want you to think about the perspective in this text that Paul was writing. Paul was writing this as an encouragement. In fact, the church that he was writing to, they were actually in one of the greatest seasons of their life as a church thriving, but they were walking through some serious pain. You do know you can live a blessed life and still experience pain. But that doesn't remove the more that God wants to have for you. But Paul never once did he say that I'm a prisoner of Rome. He identified himself as a prisoner of Christ and a prisoner of hope. There's no matter the situation, no matter the circumstance, he knew that his God had more for him. How many somebody shout more, there's always, there's always more. But now I want you, I want you, I'm trying to go somewhere with me, all right, so stay with me. He wrote this passage in Ephesians 3 inside prison. Before he went to prison, I want you to flip the 2 Corinthians 5 verse 18. I'm going to read this out of the New American standabout. He wrote something that I believe was his motivation to write Ephesians 3 on the inside. And it's true, our very thing tonight and what we're talking about. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 18 through 20, it says this, "Now all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and I want you to catch this, and he gave us." Somebody shout gave us. Now notice he didn't say he gave Paul, or he gave just, he didn't give one person. He gave it to you and to me, there's something powerful, he says, "What did he give us?" He gave us the ministry of reconciliation. He has been, we have been reconciled through Christ. How many?
You're thankful for the gospel, right? You're thankful for Jesus, but let me say it another way. It's called the ministry of people. By the way, did you not realize that every single one of us in this room are called the ministry? You might be a businessman, you might be a teacher, you might be a coach, but when you meet Jesus, it doesn't stay with you. When you meet Jesus, there's something that shifts on the inside of you that say, "Now that I know him, who am I going to tell about him?" That's the call of this house, and that's the call of this church. Verse 19 says this, "namely that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against him, and he was committed to us the word of reconciliation." Verse 20, this is powerful. Therefore, we are what ambassadors of Christ. I believe you know, sometimes we walk through things, but we got to look back in moments that help us get through those things, y'all with me? I can't prove this, but I believe that as Paul was writing Ephesians 3 in prison, he I was thinking back on this moment when he realized... but you've called me to this ministry of reconciliation, a ministry to people. And my job is no matter from walking in pain, and no matter if I'm walking in blessing, my job is to never stop telling people about the power and the anointing of Jesus. And there's a call to every single one of us in this. This is the power of understanding the heart of reconciliation and the ministry behind it all. The ministry of reconciliation is in two things. I want y'all to write this down. Is that all right if I teach this a little bit?
Breaking it all down, you gotta get this. I believe in second Corinthians, you gotta, the minister of record, a conciliate is two things. It's the heart behind it, and then it's the power behind it. Second Corinthians speaks to the heart behind it. Ephesians three speaks to the power behind it. That's why I mentioned the word power three times. Go back and say it, I promise, some of this is gonna make more sense. Just with me, can I get a yell? All right, here we go. This was in your pastor's heart to understand this in revival weeks. Recognize it another way. Reconciliation restores what sin tried to break. How no, nothing breaks you when you got Jesus on your side, right? But then reconciliation also will put a passion and a calling on the inside of you to be an ambassador. What Jesus has done for me, why should I keep it secret? Why should I hold it to myself? Why should I not tell everybody about me? That's why the Bible says love died neighbor. Am I telling my neighbors about you? There's this calling to say, thank you Jesus for what you have done for me. But also, Jesus, what am I gonna do now
to tell people about what you've done for me? This is the power behind it. If God has done more for me, I want others to know that He can do more for them. There's three statements that I believe God put on my heart. And this is again, very foundational. And I just pray, I just pray it hits right. No more one is this, is that there's always more with Jesus. There's always more with Jesus. The very foundation of Ephesians three is talking about His faith. Now some of you, maybe you've been in here, you've been believers for a long time. But I do believe there's many of us in the room, right? Maybe your very foundation of your faith in Jesus is very beginning. And you're learning how to walk it out. He says, that's why he starts off in verse 14. He says, for this reason, I kneel before the Father. Notice His posture of humility. Saying, God, no matter where I'm at in my life, I'm never gonna not need you. My title, I can have the greatest title. I can have the most money in the world. I can move from level to level, but I will never be in a place where I don't need the Lord. Where I don't need Jesus. Why? Because my faith is everything to me. My faith in Jesus is everything.
I don't know about you, for instance, but I've been blessed. I clicked 45 this last year. Been married over, I've been married 22 years. Come on, we can celebrate that. I got four kids, three of my daughters, they all teenagers pray for a brother. One of them's got their first date, and I don't like it. They hit me up the other day and say, today is national, give your daughter money day. I'm like, that don't exist, but apparently it does. I'm like, that's everyday for me, right? In my household, where's all the dads in the house? Where are you at, right? But can I tell you, friends, can I tell you, I've been blessed with an amazing family, a blessed to be able to do me, but can I tell you, my faith is everything to me. I don't know, I feel like to say this, but I think this just needs to sink in a little bit. Because my faith is everything to me. I'll never forget, in the hard days it was my faith that got me through. It was in year 17 that where we thought our marriage was over, then it was my faith in Jesus that got us through. And it was his church. It was my faith in the power of God, when I went blind to my right eye, but I believe that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and if the healing touch of God
can work then, the healing touch of God can work today. It got there the supernatural miracle, and he brought my eyesight bike. It was my faith that only believed in the power of God. It was my faith that helped me believe that God is gonna be there in a hard season, one of my kids we're walking through. It was my faith to believe in God. your pastors walk through, walk me through that season. Still, the hardest decision in my life to let go of a dream that God said, start. But if it wasn't for being obedient, it would never stepped into the more that God has. There's something about this that's got to stir in your heart that my faith is not negotiable, that it doesn't matter where I live. If I lose friends, but I keep gaining Jesus, then I still gain everything. There is more when I keep my relationship with the Lord. Are you all with me? Psalm 73 verse 25 says this, "Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth." Now, there's three things that take place, and I'm sorry if I'm giving you a little bit of teaching. I hope that's all right. I know they came to shout, we might shout in a little bit. Here's three things that's going to happen when you decide to be reconciled with God. Three things that will change. If you really decide to make more room for Jesus in your life, these three things will take place. Number one, is that you will change your devotion. What I was devoted to before, I'm not going to be devoted to now. I might have been devoted to hang out with those friends, but I ain't going to hang out with those friends.
Show me your friends, I'll show you your future. I was devoted to this, but I'm not going to be devoted to that anymore. My devotion change, you got to move from being delivered to being devoted. God, I want you to deliver me from this pain, I want you to deliver me from this addiction. God, I want you to set me free. I need freedom in my marriage, I need freedom in my life, I don't want to carry that identity anymore. God, you will deliver me, but then you can be delivered and not devoted. You know, we'll come right back, you all still love me, come on, all right? Deliverance, right this down, deliverance breaks the curse, but it's devotion that breaks the cycle. Deliverance and I'm going to set you free, but it's devotion that's going to keep the curse broken, and it's going to break the cycle and say, whatever I walk with, my children ain't going to have, my children and my grandchildren ain't going to have this addiction, my children are not going to have this pain, my father, he's always told me, son, my ceiling is going to be your foundation. And in 1972, he grew up in a broken home, a father who never loved him, a father beat him and abused him every single day, he hated God, hated this world, but in 1972, he decided to be an answer for our family, and he gave his life to Jesus, and thank God in 1972, he was delivered, God broke the curse, but his devotion broke the cycle, and now I'm saved, and now my children are saved, and my children's children will be saved, because we made more room for Jesus in our life. How are you making more room for Jesus in your room? It's church, are you just checking in and filling up a seat, are we getting plugged in and serving? Are we giving? Are you all with me? It's going to change your devotion, and if you really made more room for Jesus, you're going to see your devotees, and then there's the second thing that's going to happen, you're going to realize that your behavior changes.
You'll see that the Holy Spirit will change you from the inside out, because decisions and behaviors are tied together. You decide to be devoted more than you ever have to the Lord. You're going to watch, all of a sudden your behavior is going to change, you're going to be like, "You're going to walk and be like, "Man, why aren't they talking like that no more?" "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, how come you ain't going to club no more?" "I thought that was our gym, Sunday morning church, Tuesday night club." Come on, that's a real talk, y'all know what it is. You would rather live one foot in the world and one foot in the church. You wonder why, man, I love the deliverance, but I don't like the devotion, and I want to change, but I'm not, well, can I tell you, the loneliest people in the world are how far to keep Christians. They know just enough of the world to be miserable, they know just enough of the word to be miserable, but they know enough about God's Word to not feel free. You're like, "Man, man, I know just enough God, I shouldn't be doing this, but you don't believe enough to know that you can really be free." The more you hang out with Jesus, and realize you have been reconciled. My devotion is going to change. I'm going to serve you more than I ever have, Lord. I'm going to worship more than I ever have. I'm going to come to church more than I ever have. I'm going to give, and I'm going to start tithing more than I ever have. I'm going to give you everything, God. And then my behavior begins to change. You're going to walk one day by the man. Man, they used to be so stressed. Why are they so happy now? Well, why do you got this smile on your face?
It's called joy. You ever walked into somebody and turned me in? You're like, how are you doing, man? I'm too blessed to be stressed. But no, you lying. You stressed right now. I see it in your eyes. Stop lying in church. And all of a sudden, the behavior begins to change. That's why you see somebody on the front row shouting for Jesus, but then they make a mistake and shame. And all of a sudden, you see him on the back row. It's not that you don't believe in the deliverance of God. It's not that you don't believe in Jesus. The question is, does your devotion match what he's done for you in deliverance? And when the behavior begins to change, that's where you pass her and love people the most. It's not just in the moment, but it's in the fading where you love people the most. Man, I just don't want to have a confrontation or conversation. I don't want to do nothing. Can I tell you, man, we need people in our lives saying, where you at, bro? Why is the behavior changed? Are you all with me? I'm sorry, I feel like I'm coming in hot. I'm sorry. Maybe I want to laugh a lot.
Maybe you want, I don't know. I'm here one night. I hope I can come back. (congregation laughing) Because I love you, no, I literally feel like there's pounding on my chest. Like Paul said, you've got to give this. There's so much more for you. There's more for your life. There's more for your marriage. There's more with the calling of God on your life. And I don't know your story, but God knows everything. But I'm telling you right now, that's where he started this passage on my knees. Because without Jesus, I'll never see the Lord. 'Cause Jesus didn't down the cross to be a party at top three. There's so much, do you hear my heart? More. And when you give him everything, fully devoted, your behavior will change, and then your destiny changes. Your destiny is no longer hell, but your destiny is heaven. So what it's all about? (congregation clapping) Got to realize that there's more for you. It's almost like, but you got to be able to see it. You got to be able to see it. It's almost like, have you ever been, anybody been to the rodeo?
Come on, somebody, only three people, what's up? Come on, somebody, how many love the rodeo? Come on, I feel like one of the greatest days of my life every year is when they release the rodeo alignment. Come on on in, somebody else like that. But whether it's there, maybe it's another event. Have you ever been there where they kind of like, they got this like four truck, and they put a bunch of footballs or balls in it, like guess the number? Anybody ever seen that? Like, if you guess the number that is in there, or maybe you got a jar of like a bunch of M&Ms, and if you guess the number, then you get it. Anybody ever played that game? Anybody ever been to one in that game? You want it for real? You lie. You sure don't lie, church. You want it for real? Was it a car? It was here? Come on, somebody, where's that game tonight? Come on, where's the deal? Here's the deal though, here's the deal. I want you to get this. Because they actually did a study on this. It's called the Law of Third Dimension. People can only guess,
maybe 20% of the amount that is in there. Harley, anybody wins it. It's because our natural eyes can only see so much. And if we miss it that much with our natural eyes, how much more do we miss it with our spiritual eyes? And here's the deal, until you can see the more that God has for you. He's saying you got your measure. He said, but then I got my measure for you. And you won't know how Jesus sees you unless you spend more time with Jesus. Unless your devotion gets a little bit stronger. You get a little bit more faithful. Come on, are y'all with me? How did the more? Come on, I'm believing God for some more. It all starts with more of Jesus. That's what it's all about. Now, if I can just take a quick moment, can I speak to this house, this family? I'm blessed to be a friend, to be an overseer. I just want to be a friend of the house, but I tell you right now, I need you to get this. There is more for this family. There's more for this family. We heard the heart of reconciliation, in the ministry of reconciliation. But then there's the calling and the power behind it. When everybody in this room catches their purpose with Jesus, what can we do to shake the city?
There is more for this family. That's why it says in verse 18, that you may have power, can we throw that verse 18, Ephesians 3, 18? I don't know if y'all got that, if you can throw it up there for me, come on, there we go. That we may have power, what's that next word? Together, say it again, together. That means family, with all the Lord's people. And I want you to catch this, to grasp, do you grasp it? Does it give you chill bones? Does it get you fired up? Do you see how well, how long, how high, how deep, that God wants to take this house? If you don't grasp it, the more that God has for this house and for this city, there's got to be something, 'cause revival nights is not just an event. Revival nights is saying, we just getting started. And I begin to think about that, Pastor Rod and Sarah, I did my best to do the math, and it's not my greatest, we're all my B and C students in the house. Come on, wave it up, brother, let me know here. I mean, why have algebra? It makes no sense, let ABCs be ABCs and 123s be 123s, thank you Michael Jackson, RIP, here we go, right? Am I all right? Stop mixing letters and numbers, it don't make sense. But I don't want you to, I feel it, I'm talking to you personally saying,
I mean, there's more for you, but you're a part of this house, we celebrate in 10 years, and I need you to grasp it, there's more for this family. And I begin to try to think about it, Pastor Rod and Sarah, and I try to calculate it in my best, man, celebrating 10 years. And I did my best to try to give this, if you just think about it, it's over a thousand Sunday gatherings, and we gather together. Over five thousand, that's not even accounting, ways that I services over revival nights, or freedom conferences, or those in between. There's been over five thousand worship songs sung in this house, thousands of prayers, thousands of moments, conversations in the back hallway, children's workers talking to families and moms, conversations in the car, things happening in groups, all leading to a place of 10 years of celebrating 10 years of healing and 10 years of miracles of what God has done in this house. Come on, we can celebrate that. Come on, God, only God gets the glory. But then this is where you gotta get it. I'm not thankful for what God has done, but I'm excited for the more that He is about to do, the more, because God says, I want a full measure, the full vision, nothing lacking. We're gonna own this whole block right here.
God's gonna do some things. Come on, that's what I said, do you grasp it? Do you grasp it, does it hit your spirit in your heart? For the vision of where God has taken this house, you see most people, most people, it's all right, I'm saying this. Most people would drive by this lot and be like me and that'd be another cool spot for a donut shop. I mean, that'd be a cool spot. Maybe they should put another gym right there. I mean, that'd be a great spot for like a vape shop. That'd be, I don't know why I laughed at that. Okay, everybody resist. But it's true, up and up on that corner. They're like, man, that could be everybody loves some donuts. I don't know about you. If you eat crispy cream, you must drive a Tesla. Where's my chiefly people in the house? Come on, let me know. (audience laughs) What my H-town baby, come on, come on. get in that Christmas cream. Anyways. (congregation laughing) But thank God your pastors drove by this place and stopped and said, wait, I think families can meet Jesus there. (congregation applauding) I think marriages can be restored there.
I think people are gonna find freedom there. I feel like in this building, people are gonna walk in addicted, but they're gonna walk out set free because drugs ain't gonna be a whole other family no more. Addiction is not gonna be a whole other family anymore. Depression will not be who they are in this house. There's more. Thank you, Jesus. Then we're gonna see 10,000 more songs. We're gonna see 10,000 more services because there is more, more, this family. Come on, I wish somebody would shout some more like you want more of Jesus. You believe God has some more for this house. Tell me, stay standing. God ain't done, stay standing. Why? Because the commission as an ambassador is to bring the good news in Romans two. Yeah, no idea I was preaching that today. But the Romans 10 verse 13 to 15. Thank you for hearing from the Lord in that prayer moment. Don't ever doubt it again, my friend. I don't know your name. But if I can just say, don't ever doubt God's calling your life. And I feel like you need to hear this, and I don't know you other than being around here. But you do hear from God.
You need to lean into that a little bit more. And trust God in it. But here's what he's want. You're doing better than you think you are. And I want you to know, now I'm led as this family, see your devotion. But I'm telling you, Jesus, your Lord, he sees your devotee, he is proud of you. And he loves you. He loves you. But y'all don't know as we had a little prayer circle. And she prayed this scripture, not knowing, I wasn't going to mention it tonight. It just sounds like the Lord. Because I need y'all, that's why. That's why in verse 18 it says, the power of coming together. You've got to grasp this. Do you see how far we can go? Do you see the city coming together to reach people? Church is coming together. Business people coming together. Do you grasp how long? How far we can go. Why? Because people need to know the good news. And it says it in Romans 10. It says for whoever do I got any whosoever's in the room? We'll call upon the name of the Lord. We'll be saved.
But here's the challenge, but how did? Well, they call on him who have not believed. How would they believe in him? If they have not heard, how would they hear? Well, I would say without a preacher, but without somebody called to the ministry of people. Which is family? How would they preach unless they are sent? Just said it's written, how beautiful are the feet of those? Who bring the good news with good things? We are those people. Your pastors can't do it all. Whenever we all come together, what are we doing to tell our neighbor about church? What are we doing to love our co-worker about church? What are we doing running up to Starbucks or Chick-fil-A? Where have you rolled to? We all decided we all wrote a water burn. I feel like we should have an after party at Waterburger tonight. And I don't know. What if we did just roll up in that joint? Oh my God, that'd be amazing. Come on, I feel that was prophetic. We gotta bring the good news. 'Cause I'm kinda on this tangent, forgive me, but can I tell you right now? Because there is no greater place to be than the house of God. There is nothing better than the family of God. If you mess up, it doesn't mean you run from God's family. It means you run towards God's family.
That's the heart of this house. And I don't have time to go into it. and the more that God is doing in the earth. It's revival hitting the local church. And I'm tired of certain outlets and certain people attacking the church and saying that the church is losing. I remember there was talk that the church may not come back through COVID. And I remember obviously I'm tired of people saying Islam is winning and Christianity is going down and Islam is rising in the prisons and Christianity is going down. I'm tired of people saying that this generation is lost and not found. I'm here to tell you, I'm not buying into the narrative because that's all the devil can do. Oh Lincoln, that's why they called the death. They called the devil in the Bible. They called him the prince of the air because he can't create nothing. He can only twist it to believe that what you think is failure is actually winning. Now I'm here to tell you, God's house is winning. If there is a quote that just came out by the Barnard group, I'm trying to stir your faith because God is doing more in this family. And I believe it's in your pastor's hearts for this city. Check this out, tell me if the church ain't winning. This is a study that was just released and then we'll close, y'all with me.
It's fourth quarter, baby, come on, let me know you hear it, come on, all right. Hold on, I got two minutes on the clock. If you win me, can I get, yeah, come on. Tell me if the church ain't winning, just got released. I don't know if you've heard the shit, but it says, there's a generational reversal that is happening that is reshaping church attendance. And for the first time in decades, young adults and youth identified as Christians and followers of Jesus, come on, check this out. An attending church more frequently than the older generations doubling since 2020 because the church ain't over, baby. There is more than we gotta do. There is more, I need you to grasp it. I need you to feel it. How far? How deep? How far are we gonna go? There is more for this family if you'll believe it, give God some praise in the house. Somebody shout, there's more. (dramatic music) - I tell you, you better, if you get anything, if you haven't heard a word I've said, I pray you hear my passion. You gotta grasp this thing. - Yeah.
- How wide can we go? If you see you the way Jesus sees you, you see the beauty of this house and you lean in like never before. Here's what I know, this is the power of God. I've seen it in my life. Here, this is how God works. He moves from house to house. Everything that I've been blessed with in my family, in my family, in my life has been connected to God's house. When I tithe in God's house, He's blessed my finances. When I've served in God's house, He's blessed my family. When I've committed commitment that me and my family are gonna serve, we're gonna give, and our life is crazy. We will literally be at a baseball game and my son will show up for worship and a little bit of message and then I have to dip back out. But we never miss a weekend where my family don't get in the presence of God and in the house of God because in this house, it's connected to everything. So I don't know who I'm talking to, and the last thing is this, is you gotta realize that there's more for you. And this is where it gets personal of it again. There you gotta see, you gotta lean into the more of Jesus. There's more for this family. I'm telling you, we're gonna look back on this day and say, God, look what you have done.
Ten years from now, I'm telling you, everything in your heart, full measure, exceedingly and abundantly. It says there's also, there's more for you. Verse 20, now to him who is able to do a measurably more than we may ask or imagine, according to his power. It's the power of God that changes things. Can I read two more scripts real quick? Come on, yo with me, I got one person. Come on, anybody else, come on, here we go. First that's Alonians, one five. I don't know if we got it, first that's Alonians, one five. It says this, I don't know if I sent this to you, I'm sorry. It says for when we brought you the news, it was not only the words, but also with, You're not a mistake. You're exactly who God called you to be. Stop living a copy when God created you an original. Be exactly who God has called you to be. Don't be anybody different. Psalms 23.6 said, "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life." Why? Because I dwell in the house of the Lord. So what is power? Power is connection. You could try to make a smoothie, but if you don't connect it to the power, it's useless. And here's what I feel led to do, here's how we're going to close out tonight. A little bit of prayer, a little bit of worship, because I believe there's some of you. I don't know what more you're looking for. You can't say, "I don't want freedom, I want peace," I want.
I want all these things, but you're not willing to connect to the power of God. The power of God is found in moments like this. Moments of prayer. Moments of worship. Moments where I pray Jesus' name, your heart has been stirred tonight to say, "You know what? I want a little bit more." Maybe everybody right here, maybe, I don't, what is your more tonight? Maybe there's some of you you're looking to believe in God and be reconciled with Christ. Maybe you need to be devoted more than you have. Maybe you're looking to, maybe your behavior needs to change. Maybe it's your destiny that you're not sure of. Like I said before, Jesus didn't down the cross to be a party at top three. But He died to be number one in the life. I want to pray for two people. The first one I want to pray for, if you can't buy a head and close your eyes. That very person that I'm talking to, maybe you're more, you need more of Jesus tonight. It's time to stop, as the Bible says, living double-minded. One foot in the world and one foot in the church. Don't say, "God, I want to be delivered, but you're not willing to be devoted." And I'm telling you, I feel it in my spirit. There's some of you in here. Can I tell you, this is family here. Family loves you where you are, not for what you've done, but believes in you for where you're going. If you're here today, we got football games happening right now, it's front and out lights. People are throwing their hands up, going crazy. I'm going to tell you right now, there's no better place to throw your hand up right now for the stadium of heaven. Say, "I need Jesus in my life."
And I want you to raise your hand if you don't mean it. But if you're saying, "I need Jesus for the first time," or, "I need to rededicate my life." Because it's time to be devoted to Jesus more than ever. I'm going to ask you, in boldness, throw your hand up on the count of three. One, two, three. Throw it up. Keep it up. I want to see it. I want to see it. Thank you, Lord. Keep it up. Keep it up. I'm not doing the camera shot. It's not what this is for. Keep it up. I just want to see it. Thank you, Jesus. Hands going up everywhere. Thank you, Father. Thank you for your honesty. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You can put your hands down. Come on. Give me a new heart. Today, I choose to live for you in Jesus' name. Now you can look up at me.
We can, by the way, the Bible says, "When one comes to heaven, all the heaven throws a party." I'm going to break that with you. Now, here's where I feel like the lead with, right here, or the finish with. As I'm telling you right now, I feel like there's some of you in the room that you're looking for more than God wants to set you free. I don't know if you're battling addiction. I don't care if you got it on, you'll leave it at the altar. Let's say I'm not going to leave here empty tonight. I want the fullness of God. I want the more that God has for me. And Father, the doctors have told them they can't start a family. In Jesus' name, you're a healer. And I'm tender in the edge.
I don't know who I'm talking to, but a family is coming your way. In Jesus' name, Father, we thank you right now. You begin to move in this place. I pray, start, start giving God your, whatever it is in your desire, whatever it is you're believing God for. You give it to him and you start praying healing. And I pray in Jesus' name, more begins to flow through this place. Father, in Jesus' name, come on, let's pray and worship.
