Dr. Vincent Simon, one of the foremost authorities who wrote this book, Charismatic Bridges, has something to share with us today. Who and what happened right here at this spot? - From 1906 Ralph, until 1909, the Azuzah Street revival took place right on this open light, this open now. But one of the greatest revivals in church history because the worldwide Pentecostal movement had its beginning here as a worldwide force, and services went on day and night for three years in this place, and from this place, spirit baptized people went all over the world, spreading the story of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. - Now I think we should introduce immediately our friends because it's a real honor to have these people here with us. They were there when it happened, and we think of this as the movement that was started without a man. Jesus is the one who brought this movement into existence. Would you introduce these friends? - Yes, first this is Miss Maddie Cummings, who was here at the beginning of the Azuzah Street meeting as a young girl, and this is the Reverend Lawrence Catley,

who was the pastor of a church of God in Christ in-- - Pasadena. - In Pasadena, California. He was here at this great revival, and they are the two only known survivors that I know of who were here at that time. - Now we're both of you acquainted at that time, were you children here in the revival? - Yes, we were. - You knew each other, what'd you call each other then? - Lawrence. - And Maddie. - And Maddie. - Yes. - You plead together, son Catley. - Son Catley. - And this was a Methodist church. - This was originally an African Methodist church, and they built a new church on 8th and Town Avenue, and rented this to Azuzah Mission, and eventually Azuzah bought it. - Now you were, wasn't it true that both of you received tremendous healings here at this spot? - Yes, I received healing. I was deaf, and God healed me, and now I can hear. - How many years ago? - Oh, that's been around 70 years ago now. - Somebody said healings don't last. - Oh, they do. And sometimes I think I hear too much, but thank God for hearing.

- You mean you really were deaf? - Yes, I can go to school. - You could not go to school, no. - And what about you? - Well, I had what we called TB in those days, and tuberculosis, and it was a terrible experience. And I heard that there was a place up town called Azuzah Mission, where they prayed for people, and they got well, and I asked my mother to bring me, and she eventually brought me, and through the laying on of hands, and the prayer, God delivered me from that TB. And I have, no, I'm delivered because of, not only because of the way I feel, but I have been examined by a lung specialist in the World War One, and they said, "Nothing no matter with you, boy, get out of here." - Would you tell me how old you are? - I'm 79 years old. - Oh, really? - November the 23rd, 1974. - Hey, this is quite an exciting day to be alive, isn't it? Dr. Sine, what would you say this place looked like when the Holy Spirit began to fall? - Well, I think these two could tell a lot more than I could because they were here. - Well, you researched it, so I thought you might-- - Well, it was just a two-block street. Azuzah Street is very short street, near the city hall.

It was in the downtown area. And William J. Seymour had come from Texas to hold a revival here in the Nazarene Church. But he preached the new experience, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by speaking with other tongues. And a revival broke out in the Asbury home on Bonnie Bray Street. People received this experience and crowds filled the streets, and then they came to find the church building, and they found this old abandoned Methodist church building that had been used as a warehouse, a storage place, and I think a stable at one time, too. And they found it was empty. It had no stained glass windows, no pews. They just had rough, hewn benches. But here, a worldwide revival began, and people came from all over the world to this spot to find out what they had. Could you tell us what the main experience was that attracted the people, Matty? Well, I think first it was The Japanese, Chinese, and all the different nationalities, they heard them speak and the gospel was preached to them." "You mean they had not learned these things?" So you guys are 10 years old, which is amazing. Come on Ten years old relate my church is eight years old so we're like little brother on the north side of town watching you guys grow Watching you guys do incredible things praying for you cheering for you believing for you We love your pastors pastor Rod Sarah you guys are always incredible role models for us You believe in us we believe in you we know God is doing greater things in the next 10 years God has incredible things for all of us together one things I love about revival nights and a celebration of 10 years That's not just about Union Houston It's not listen. It's not a union thing. It's not it's not a relate thing or a church thing even it's a God thing God's doing something and if we can get in his presence if we can get where he wants us to be then we can be a part of it Elbow somebody next to you and just say you can be a part of it Listen We're gonna pray for a minute and here's what I want. Here's where I want to challenge you I want and then we go back into worship and our giving but here's what I want to challenge you with I want to challenge you to Move a little bit not physically. I want to challenge your heart to move. Let me read your verse that you probably know It's second Chronicles 7 14. It says if my people Where's God's people at? He says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves I'm gonna try not to stop too much. Here we go. We'll humble themselves and seek my face Humble myself Humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways Then I God will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land We all want to talk about healing our land. We want to talk about forgiveness We want to talk about God hearing us, but there's a requirement

That we have to humble ourselves We have to pray and seek God's face and we have to turn from our wicked ways So tonight before we go any further, I want to talk about repentance for just a second Would you say that out loud repentance? We don't get revival without repentance without humility where we Where we're willing to leave behind where we're willing to surrender and say God not me, but you The depth of our repentance will determine the depth of the revival that God brings about inside of us We want God to bring things back to life, but it requires that we repent. So here's what I've done. I want to lead us in a prayer But it's not a it's not an easy prayer And so what I'm gonna ask you to do is this I'm gonna ask you to repent with me And I've come up with a list. That's why I got my paper here Some things that I think we need to repent of and not just for me not just for us individually things We need to repent of in my heart because we all have a list We all have things where the Holy Spirit just says hey, that's not right But we're not just here for us. We're here for our community for our families. We're here for our city we're here for the state and all of our people all over this country and What we can do as believers is we can repent for the other people who aren't even here tonight We can repent for our city we can repent for our community in the neighborhoods that we live in because they may not come in here and repent They're not gonna get down on their feet on their knees and say God we repent heal our land, but we can do that I need you to repent for your own week, month, year, the life that you've lived, the things that you thought this week didn't think didn't do, but I also want you to repent for this city. Because if we want God to show up and change and transform and bring about revival all over the city and the churches all over, then we need to repent and be willing to stand in the God and say, "I may not be the one that did this. I didn't stand in a government position. I didn't sit in, I didn't shoot anyone down in the streets and I didn't cheat on my wife and I didn't, et cetera, et cetera, but God forgive us." So can you guys stand in the gap with me today and let's repent? You might be thinking, "Well I never did that, I don't have to repent.

Let's speak God's people and be willing to stand up and say, "We take responsibility for what this city has done." So I'm going to pray, I want you to pray, but also in the middle of our prayer, I want you to repeat a few things after me. So when we get to the point where I say, "We repent of idolatry," then I need you to say, "I repent of idolatry." And then we're going to pray for a little bit. And I'm going to give you another one and we're going to pray for a little bit. We're going to repent of all the things that God put on my heart to pray for. You might not consider yourself an idolatry about this nation. Our city has been doing awful things and we need to see a turnaround. We need to see the presence of God show up in a way that only his people can usher in his presence and it takes the people who are humble, willing to put ourselves away. So let's pray. Father, we thank you right now that you have called us into a spirit of repentance, God that you are doing an incredible work in this house, in this place, through our worship, through the attitudes and the minds of the people who have come together to pursue your spirit because we know it's not by might and not by power but it's by your spirit that things can change, that life can be brought where there are dead things, where this city can come back to life, that the broken can be restored, that broken marriages can be restored, God that broken families, broken relationships, people's finances, people's health that's broken and lost and destitute and feels like it is lost forever, God. I thank you that you can bring back even the most lost things. So would you say this out loud, would you say we repent of idolatry, Father we repent of replacing you with other things in life, things that we put ahead of you, things that we put on the throne of our hearts, things that we have prioritized in our time, our talent, our treasure, things that we have valued higher than your opinion. Maybe it's somebody, something, some dream, God we repent of idolatry, Father we repent of pride, say that out loud, we repent of pride, we bow our hearts before you Lord. Father forgive us for putting our trust in the wisdom of man, forgive us for putting

our trust in this nation or the economy of this world or our bosses or our paychecks or our husbands or our wives, God we put our trust in you and you alone. We repent of selfish, selfish ambition. God all the things that we have put on our agenda to do, forgive us. We repent and we turn from it. Let's hang on a second, I feel like I need to say something. I think there's some things that we carried into this service, there's some things that you've carried into this season of your life and in order for you to get where you need to be, in order for us to get to revival, you have to leave some things behind and so we're praying through idolatry, we're praying through trusting God but you're not leaving anything behind, you're just saying the words. The Holy Spirit is going to poke you in the heart and he's going to say I need you to leave something here today. I need you to turn from your wicked ways, that means you can't take it with you out of here, but you're ready for some more things to leave behind, here we go. We repent of greed and materialism. We repent of envy and comparison, God, for looking at the people next to us, the people ahead of us, behind us, and wishing that we were them, wishing we had what they have. We repent of unforgiveness. We repent of gossip. We repent of dishonesty and hypocrisy, of acting like one thing, and being another. We repent of sexual sin and impurity. We repent for our leaders in this city. We repent for the business owners, God, that won't bow their knees, but we repent for them and expect for your presence to show up. We repent, God, of neglecting prayer and neglecting your word. We repent of fear and unbelief. And finally, we repent of selfishness, misusing money, and choosing our kingdom over your kingdom. God, we lay down ourselves and we yield to your spirit tonight. We need revival. We don't want just another service, God. Thank you, Jesus. Now, before we go, I just want you to listen to the Holy Spirit. God, what do you want me to repent of?

Your heart needs to be tender before the Lord so that the Holy Spirit can impress on you and show you. Here's what I want you to do, son. Here's what I want you to do, daughter. Father, we thank you for your word. We thank you for your spirit moving and revival in this place, God. In Jesus' name, amen, amen, amen. Why don't you have a seat for just a second? Humility and repentance is a posture that we take in our hearts. We have to be tender before the Lord. We can't have stiff necks and hard hearts before God. But I want to point something out to you real quick. Whenever we humble ourselves and we surrender to God, there's actually proof that our hearts are where God wants them to be. And the proof of your heart is really where your money is. We don't give so that God will bless us. We don't give so that God will forgive us. But what happens when God's spirit shows up and my heart is humbled before the Lord and I turn from my wicked ways, my heart gets generous because my stuff's not my stuff. My money's not my money. It's God's money. It's his stuff. It's his money. It's his time. It's his talent. I just get to use it. So in just a minute, we're going to give in the offering and I just, it's incredible when God's people are generous and I'm going to tell you guys just like I would tell my church. I wouldn't give you a number to give, but what I will do is I'll ask for 100% participation. Let's all do something. Let's all let our hearts be generous. You ask God, how do I fit into this? How can we make an impact in our city? Because it's one thing to talk about revival, it's one thing to talk about transformation and to see the city change in the way that we all know God wants it to change. It's another to let our hearts be open and give toward it and for us to make a big, big, big, big change. So this service is, this offering is not for your time. It's not for your regular giving. This is for the above and beyond gift. We're going to give and see God move and see God do great things. So what kind of things does this offering go toward? It goes towards Union's discipleship programs in this city. You guys know all of the things that are happening with the prison campus. Developing the Spanish ministry and outreach, that's incredible. More staffing, it requires more things to do more. But we want to see...

We want to see the people who don't know God have their life transformed because God's people showed up. So here's what we're going to do. We're going to pray and right on the back of the chair in front of you is a tap. You can tap him with your phone to give, but I would challenge every person to participate, give something because we want to make a difference. Let's take a minute. Let's pray and then we'll give and continue worshiping as we give. Father, we just thank you for every dollar that's given into the offering today. God, we thank you that you are using Union Church, Union Houston Church and many, many, many other churches around this city to bring about change, to carry your spirit and to carry your word into the all of the darkest places, to the people who are desperate and broken. Lord, we thank you that you are bringing life into dead places. Lord, move in this place, multiply every gift, bless this church and the staff and the work that's being done, multiply it and use it in Jesus' name. Amen. I believe that we're calling down the Holy Spirit to be our refiner, to refine our thoughts, to refine our feelings, to refine our faith, to refine us. We need that refiner. We need that refiner. We need that refiner to burn us. To burn away all the things that are not of you. To burn away all the things that might offend you. Lord, tonight inspect our hearts and let that refine do what He does for us. It's burn away all the things that don't belong. The world has filled us with identities, false dreams, false identities. The things that the world called us, but tonight we're asking for a holy fire so that we can see the impossible, so that we can see the miracle, so that we can be the miracle, so that we can be the revival. So that when we leave this place, we're the takeover that we're just saying about, that we're the revival, that we long for, that no matter where we go and what we do, we carry the fire of revival inside of us. Father God tonight, let this being a holy moment, that we take our time to sit in your presence, to sit in the Word, and to ponder on how revival is not just possible, it's inevitable. It's inevitable, and Jesus might be named. It's going to happen. It's happening. Declare, it's happening. It's happening. It's happening. It's happening. It's happening. It's happening. And we declare this in Jesus' mighty name. when family comes home and leads us in worship. I love you guys, I love you now, love you will. This is a family affair. Multiple churches represented here, it's amazing. When we dreamed up of this event, we wanted to celebrate, but not boast on us, not boast on the logo or the name, we wanted to boast in the Lord.

Just like Paul says, we wanted to boast about what God has done and we felt there was no better way to do that than to share that with the city of Houston, to invite anyone and everyone who wants to come to get a fresh infielding, to be encouraged. Maybe there's someone here tonight that you are a volunteer and because you love the Lord and you love your church, you never get to sit and just sit in the presence. Well, tonight is our gift to you. You get to sit in His presence, you get to enjoy the word, you get to enjoy a service. This is our heart and this heart is not only just for you, but it's for every man and woman who is incarcerated and will be watching this through the pandemic, you need Houston, can you help me welcome our union prison campus? You didn't think we were going to forget about you. Listen, you might be locked up, but you can experience revival right where you are. We love you and we can't wait for the day that you walk in through those doors. Tonight, I get to introduce not just a good friend. I get to introduce my little brother, familia. You know, like, you know, when your family, they meet your parents, right? You meet their parents, right? And you can just like, hey, you know, mom wants to make you something to eat. Like, we're family, you know? He's been to my house, my mom's house. I've been to his mom in Brooklyn. Listen, we family. But I met Jeremy Louison from Memphis, Tennessee Pioneer Church. Can we give it up for Pioneer Church? I met Jeremy 12 years ago, 12 years ago, two years or 11, so years ago. It was right before we planted. And we had these dreams and visions of what God wanted to do with our lives and the heart we had for our city and we shared it with one another. We bonded, but what made his bond was, you know, he had some fresh, fresh sneakers on. And I had some fresh sneakers on. And then I found out he's half Puerto Rican. I said, oh, you're my pebbles, bro. My pebbles. But we bonded, we love his wife and his children. And two years after, we are a year after, we planted Pastor Jeremy planted in Memphis, Tennessee. And where he planted is even harder so than what we planted. He is in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. And if you know anything about Memphis, like the entire city is the hood. But downtown, specifically, is extra hood. You hear me? But he got this opportunity. I told him, I

said, hey, man, we were blessed. Like we didn't have a whole bunch of money, but God made a way. He moved the mountains and he brought us to a place where we can do church for very little money. I said, you got to believe in the same thing. And sure enough, the same thing happened to him is with very little money and a lot of faith and a lot of prayer. God made a way. And he was planted in the visible college of music in Memphis, Tennessee, which is an awesome place. And I've seen them grow. And I've seen them not just grow spiritually, but grow in numbers. And it's been an amazing journey to walk with them during the season as we're both growing. We're experiencing similar things. And we're coming to similar conclusions. Because when you follow the same God and you have the same spirit, this is what begins, you begin to get alignment. Pastor Jeremy has been faithfully serving in city. As a matter of fact, one of my favorite disciples I have in Memphis is her name is Angela. Angela is homeless and she's got substance issues. When I met Angela, I met her at church. But two nights later, we were out to dinner and we ran into Angela on the street. And she said, Hey, Angela, she was like, "You got a dollar pastor?" And I mistake, I made, I pulled out my wallet and I pulled out a dollar, but she saw five, and she said, "Let me get that five." (audience laughs) Angela, you can have the five, sweetie, and I gave her. This is the place where he pastors. But he's been faithful to God. He's been obedient to God. And a little under two years ago, he was given an opportunity to take over a building in downtown Memphis. And they are in the process of finalizing where we were two years ago, and they'll be movin' into their bed.

Can we give it up for what God has done in Memphis, Tennessee? We absolutely love the Memphis family, the Pioneer family, and it is my great honor to not just invite and have you welcome my good friend, but also my black little brother from another mother, Pastor Jeremy Luizon. (audience applauds) Keep standing, keep standing, keep standing, keep standing. God, we give you this night. We're not done until you're done with us. And so spirit of the living God, move within the speaker, move within the people of this room. Lord God, I pray in Jesus' name, that I preach with humility. Lord God, I don't preach by power, or by wise and persuasive words, but demonstrations of the Spirit's power Lord. Not in my strength, but in yours alone. So open our hearts and open our minds to your word, and open your word to our hearts and to our minds. Lord God, let this be seen to the sower, that it may multiply in abundance. We thank you for this moment, Lord. We wanna do whatever you wanna do tonight. We wanna do whatever you wanna do tonight. We surrender our agendas. I've had the pleasure and honor of knowing your team of pastors and pastor Rod for about 11 years now. I actually sent to the production team our first picture that we took together. They're gonna put it up on the screen. I think maybe, maybe not. Yeah, look at that. So look at this. I was a lot heavier, and Pastor Rod had a lot less color on his arms. So guess what? These were two guys who were ambitious and full of faith and believing. So when he talked about like, we met, that's when we first met. So I want you guys to see this

so we can thank God for transformation. So if you look in the mirror, you don't like what you see, pray for a transformation. There's hope for you. Amen. Y'all better wake up. 'Cause I'm awake. I'm wide awake. 10 years. 10 years of God's faithfulness. Amen. Hallelujah, Lord God. (congregation applauding) See, some of you guys just seem to think 10 years marks a building or an organization being opened. 10 years marks that the gates of hell have been pushed back in this territory. It's 10 years of pushing back hell and saying, you can't have this city. You can't have these people. You can't have, we are here. We are here. See, some of y'all need to start thanking God because you guys saved three days ago and you're like, I'm still here. I'm still here. I'm still in the fight. I got a community. I got pastors around me. I got the little breath of life in my lungs.

See, see, some of y'all need to be excited. The blood of God is good today." So you need to thank God, God. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your goodness. Come on. You're not thanking God for the name of you in Houston. You're thanking for the body of believers that he brought together and we're pursuing the Lord together. (congregation applauding) See, some of y'all thought you were walking into a perfect church. I'm sorry. This is not that church. Pioneer church ain't a perfect church either. It's just not perfect. What you did walk into though is a holy people pursuing the Lord. (congregation applauding) We had Bishop showing up here, leading us in all repentance. One thing we need to repent for tonight is God, sorry for me thinking the church is about me. (congregation chattering) Sorry for thinking that your church is about me. I wanna tell y'all, and I say this lovingly, and I say this to every church 'cause sometimes I'm like a spiritual chiropractor and I gotta readjust some of the things. The church is for you, but it's not about you.

So you need to repent. And we're gonna repent tonight, God. I'm sorry for every time I made the church about me. Every time I complained that the music was too loud. Every time I complained I got a planning center request. Every time I complained, oh I got a serving kids again. God, I repent. I just hilt up some admin with a line. I just gave some admin a bar where they're like, oh I'm sending my planning center request right now. Let them repent right now. God, the church is for me, but it's not about me. Go ahead, let's say it together. The church is for me, but it's not about me. And I repent Lord. (congregation laughing) See, some of us got it twisted. We put our preference instead of in front of kingdom principle. What's crazy is that some of us were so eager to serve the flesh and serve in the streets, but we're not as eager to serve in the house of the Lord. We were eager to sling that dope. We were eager to sleep with that person. We were eager to be somebody. We were eager to get that car. We were eager to get that promotion, but then you get a planning center request to serve in the house of God, and we're not that eager anymore. (congregation clapping) I repent, Lord God, I repent.

I repent as a speaker, Lord God. Lord God, we don't wanna pursue platforms and platitudes. We just wanna pursue your face. May your face be enough for us, Lord God. I repent. We repent, Lord God. (congregation clapping) I wanna, if you're ever in or anyone in a relationship, you're married or you're in a relationship. Just you, anyone else? Oh, okay. (congregation clapping) Welcome to Union Houston. We participate here, 100%. Come on. (congregation laughing) If you're in a relationship, I've been married to my wife, Tasha, for the past 14, 15 years, we've been together. (congregation clapping) Our first couple years, though, we almost didn't make it. We almost got a divorce because we didn't know how to communicate with each other. And if you are ever in a relationship, either with your spouse or you're in a relationship with people, I can tell you how to destroy that relationship in a couple words. You ever get in the argument and you're arguing,

I remember me and my wife were arguing one time and we're going back and forth and we're going back and forth and she's sharing her heart and I'm sharing my heart passionately. Come on. Y'all are Hispanic. You know exactly what I'm talking about. (congregation laughing) You say somewhere as you were, you know? And so we're going back and forth and I remember that it got to a point in the lull in the argument and I was just like, all right, I'm ready to be done. And then she goes, you know, here's the last things I want you to hear. And man. She says her piece and I say the magic words that every person wants to hear when someone comes humble. And I say, y'all write this down 'cause y'all gonna be silly and say this. I'm sorry that you feel that way. Come on, somebody. Ain't nothing will set you off quicker than a July 4th rocket when someone goes, well, I'm sorry that you feel that way. You know what I mean?

'Cause you know some of y'all, you've dealt with customer service, like I'm sorry you felt that way, sir. No, it's not a feeling. Now I'm hot now. I was giving you Jesus before, but now. See, the Lord is working on my testimony, but right now he's developing it, right? Ain't nothing will destroy a relationship more than hearing those words. I'm sorry you felt that way. It's such a denial of responsibility. It's such a denial and a fault in saying, well I'm really not sorry for what I did. I really can't acknowledge what I did. I really can't say that I agree with you in that. So I'm sorry that you felt, how many of us use that in the office, right? You thought you was being real slick. I'm sorry you felt that way. Or you put it in an email, sorry you felt that way, Karen. (congregation laughing) As my prior email said, (congregation laughing) you send it real good in the morning and then by lunch you send by yourself all rebuked by the Holy Spirit, like I know Lord, I know. What the crazy thing is though,

is that we as people, when it comes to a holy God and a righteous God, whenever we send it for short, we just say, I'm sorry you felt that way God. I don't feel that way about sleeping around with people. I don't feel that way about gossiping. I don't feel just a little white lie. I don't feel that way the way you feel about sin. So God, I'm sorry you feel that way. And God in his grace and mercy doesn't just destroy us in that moment. You see repentance, repentance is not just a prayer, it starts with a prayer and it's revealed in our lifestyle. Repentance starts with a prayer but it's revealed in our lifestyle. You see some of us, the reason why we keep on hanging in the same secret sin over and over and over and over and you're like all right I'm gonna stop this time. I'm gonna stop this time. It's because somewhere in your heart and your mind you're telling God I really don't agree with the way you see this. You know that's the original sin, right? The original sin wasn't anything crazy. The original sin was Satan telling man, God's holding out on you. And so when we sin against God, we're telling God in a way I don't trust you and I think you're holding out on me

and I think my way of doing it is better. So I'm sorry that you feel this way. I don't feel that way but I'm sorry. You all have to know the greatest gift that we have as believers, the strongest gifts that we have as believers is repentance. That's the number one gift we have as believers is going to a holy God and saying, I'm seeing this wrong. I don't get it, I'm seeing this wrong. I'm doing this wrong. So Lord, I repent, I turn away. I don't want to see it that way anymore. Transform my heart and mind. This is why it's so important for you to spend time in your word because I want to tell you church before God send you into spiritual warfare, He wants to spend time with you and worship. Everyone's like, I'm in warfare but if you not in worship, you're not in warfare. He's not going to put you in the war if you don't know how to just be with Him. Why do you think David wrote over and over again? Teach me your decrees and your precepts that I may not sin against you. You see, repentance is not just a prayer. I think a lot of us just say I repented because I prayed. That's not repenting, that's the beginning of repentance. Repentance is a lifestyle, a laid down lifestyle over and over again and God changed my mind,

changed my mind, changed my mind because I want to tell you the mind is deceitful above all things, the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure, who can discern it? Who can discern it? Repentance is coming before God and it's saying, "God, this is not your plan for my family. "This is not your plan for my sexuality. "This is not your plan for my work, for my cousins, "for my brothers, for my sisters. "Poverty's not a plan for them. "Sickness is not a plan for them. "So Lord, we repent." We repent. Repentance, it's a complete change of mind. It turns a person away from sin and turns him towards God. It's a complete change, it's a whole 180. It's seeing it the way he sees it. I think for some of us, the reason why we haven't broken out of our sin is because we haven't prayed the prayer, God, show me your heart. Let it hit my heart the way it hits your heart. Because I could tell you right now, you can't hate your enemy if you see God's heart for your enemy. You can't be racist towards him if you say, "God, give me your heart for this person." You don't see a homeless person as annoying if you're like, "God, give me your heart for this person."

You can't look at another website full of pornography, you're like, "God, let me see them the way you see them." 'Cause it grieves your spirit. You can't take another sniff of cocaine because you're like, "God, let me see my body "the way you see my body." So if we want revival to happen, it has to come with repentance. And I'll tell you what's happening in the church right now globally. Globally, we wanna see revivals, but we don't want any personal repentance. We don't want any personal repentance. Why? Because repentance feels you would sorrow. It's sad. It's grueling. In the Old Testament, whenever they're repented, they would put ashes on their head and clothe their body and sackcloth. Do y'all know how uncomfortable canvas sackcloth is? It's itchy. It's uncomfortable. Come on, my eggs and my kings and queens. You know what I'm talking about. But God is so gracious. You know what God reveals? Y'all, some of this I'm preaching. Like I got Bible verses to go to, but when I tell you, I've hidden this word in my heart.

So if you don't see me going to my word, it's not because I'm freestyling. It's just because like I love the Lord and I spend time in it. And so I can, I'm getting to that old age where you could just quote Bible verses off the dome. That's what I'm trying to get. God is developing me. But if you look, God showed me this this week. I was reading in Genesis, right? Look at God's grace and mercy from the beginning of time. In the book of Genesis, it says that when Adam and Eve sinned and he was about to kick him out the garden, it says that what did they reach for? Figs, fig leaves. And they wrapped it around themselves. What y'all don't know, 'cause I'm a teacher and a preacher, is that the fig leaves that they grabbed are extremely uncomfortable. It is extremely itchy, the leaves that they wrapped around their body to cover their parts was extremely uncomfortable. But God in his mercy, he says, hey, don't put on figs. Don't put on those leaves. Here's skins of an animal. So I'm telling you, when you repent and you put on your sackcloth and you feel like you gotta put on your ashes, I wanna tell you the blood of Jesus says, don't put those ashes on your head.

Put on a crown. Don't put sackcloth on your body. I've clothed you in Christ. Here's oil for your body, but you can't get any of that stuff if you don't first repent. Because you guys know sin will keep you in discomfort. Sin will keep you uncomfortable. You're just itchy. You're just like, I just, even to the point where someone mentions something in that area and you're like, oh my gosh, what are you talking about? How do you know about that? Who told you? (congregation laughing) Sin keeps you hidden. We see this over and over and over again in the Old Testament. Israel sins and falls away from God. And every time they repent, God is already there ready to receive them. And here we are, some of us thinking in 2026, if I go into that church building, if I confess this sin, the building's gonna follow me, they're gonna shame me, they're gonna embarrass me. I wanna tell you, you're in a house where people don't shame you because God's got a testimony for your life. We don't look at you from where you came from. We look at you from where you're going.

And so I wanna tell you because I know for a fact, I know this in my own life that when sin tries to take root, it starts growing in the dark and the moment you expose it, the moment you bring light to it, the moment you say, there it is, I don't want this in my life anymore. It can't grow no more. That's why he says that I'm uprooting all this through the power of the Holy Spirit. But I wanna tell you, brothers and sisters, anyone ever prayed the prayer with us like, I don't need nobody who's gonna be me and God, I just gotta confess it from God and you're still in the same sin? Yeah, I know y'all, I've been there. I don't want to share this with nobody. I'm just going to be me and God. I'm just going to pray more. I'm just going to fast more. I'm just going to go to more services. I'm going to listen to more podcasts. I'm going to listen to more Maverick City. I'm just going to listen to them. And I'm going to drown this out. And God is like, I'm not going to heal you from that. I'm not going to let it shake you. Why? And he's like, Lord, why won't you set me free? He says, I reject the proud. If you can't humble yourself and share it

with a brother or sister, I can't forgive you, and I can't heal you. Why? Because it says it in 1 John. It says, God, when you confess your sin, when you confess your sin, he's faithful to forgive. But then what does it say in James? When you confess it to a brother, you get healed. See, some of y'all are walking and forgiving, but you're not walking out healed. Because you keep on telling God if he's going to be me and you, if he's just going to be me and you, if he's going to be me and you, and God is like, I'm rejecting you because you're too prideful to share it with a brother or sister. And then the moment, anyone else experienced deliverance when you shared it with a brother or sister, and now all of a sudden they with you, and now you got these Holy Ghost goons rolling with you, and they're like, I'm fasting with you. I'm praying with you. If I got to come get you, I'll stoop you up myself. See, who here wants to be delivered tonight? Who here wants to confess to a brother or sister? Okay, it's there for you. That's why God keeps on allowing it. And you're like, God, don't you care? He's like, yeah, but you're too prideful. If my son needed help to carry the cross, who are you to carry this cross by yourself?

Who are you to carry this cross by yourself? And I know this, y'all, I've been there. I struggled with pornography, I kept it in the dark. I've been there the moment I brought in a leader, a friend, a trusted brother. I'm like, yo, here's my weakness. I want to fall on my sword. I want to show you, these are the things God is like, I can heal you now because I heal humble people. He can't heal a prideful person. Why? Because they don't, they think they don't need him. See, so if y'all want to be set free, some of y'all have been struggling with the same sin for X amount of years. And you're like, why, why, why? It's because God is like, I didn't save you for you. I saved you to put you in a community. Some of y'all think deliverance is happening when just people are shouting and throwing oil all over the place. I went to this conference and they prayed the demons out, you want to stay delivered? Get discipled. (audience applauding) You know, deliverance can happen in discipleship, right? See, some of us we've been, we're too high on church culture, but we're not high on Christ. So you have to understand that if you want to stay delivered, you got to get discipled.

What you think Paul and Titus were doing, they were getting discipled and Paul was in prison. Some of y'all got the person sitting right next to you or in the corners of this room and you are too prideful to humble yourself and repent and say, hey, I'm struggling with this. Even the babies are testifying. You should have bought a honda, hallelujah. We see it in the book of Nehemiah, Israelites were in captivity and Nehemiah goes because the people had not known the Lord for so many years. And the first thing they do when they consecrate themselves to God is yes, they worship. But the very next thing that they do is Nehemiah leads them in repentance with the prophet Nehemiah reading from the word of the law. He's reading from the scriptures because they hadn't heard the scriptures in so long. You see, I want to tell you, some of you guys are in this room and you've heard the scriptures, but you haven't listened to it with your heart. The scariest place to be as a believer is to be a stiffneck people. It's to hear the word and say, my way is still better. Woe to you, Pharaoh. Woe to you when you don't allow the Lord to touch your heart and say, hey, I gotta lay this down tonight. I gotta repent tonight. And so Nehemiah, what does he do?

He says on the 24th day of the same month the Israelites gathered together fasting and wearing sackcloth and putting dust on their heads. Those Israelite descent had separated themselves. Those of not Israelites had separated themselves and they confessed their sins of their ancestors. They confessed the sins of their ancestors. And some you allow here, pray into ancestors. And they got no power. my ancestors did." Why? Because that's how you break generational curses. You want to break a generational curse? God, forgive great, great, great, granny and grandpa for they didn't know not what they're doing. God, and I consecrate the lineage after me, it's crazy that people put, like that's in the culture now. Oh, I just called all my ancestors. They're dead and they're not coming back. They can't hear you, but there's a God who hears you. Yo, today you can repent for the crystals that you thought were giving you energy. Today you can repent for the horoscopes. Why you need to repent for those things, because there's no power in them. That's idolatry. That's putting power in the creation and not the Creator. It's crazing me when people say the universe. The universe bows to my king, what are you talking about? What are you talking about? I think the universe is trying to tell you. I think the universe is making you sin, and you are causing yourself to sin.

He says they stood where they were and read from the book of the Law of the Lord. They're God for a quarter of the day and spent another quarter in confession and worshiping the Lord their God. Isn't that crazy? They spent in some text, some commentaries they believe they spent early morning from 8 to 2, just repenting and worshiping. Just repenting and worshiping. We got Sunday services every week and at the hour mark we're like, "Let's go." Not a thought of repentance comes to our hearts and to our minds. Why would God want to revive something that's prideful? He's not going to do it. How many times do we spend and just repentance God? I looked at this person wrong, I said, "God, I want to see this your way. I want to turn away from my way of thinking about it. I want to turn from my way of seeing it. I want to turn, Lord God, I repent for believing in a political figure. I thought would give us hope. God, I repent. God, I repent of my sin. They spent the whole day doing it. Do you want to know how powerful repentance is? Y'all know about King David? Y'all know about King Solomon? You know King Solomon was richer than David? You know Solomon was David's son? You know Solomon had a lot of concubines? Y'all know, right? But yet David who sinned, he got his home boy killed in the streets and then took his shorty, y'all know what I'm talking about, right? You're like, that's not in the Bible, that's the vernacular that I'm preaching in.

Come on. Took his whole wife, killed his friend, took his whole wife. His kids were causing a mess. And yet God said, "David's a man after my own heart. He's the apple of my eye." And matter of fact, through his lineage will come the Redeemer. That's the difference between David and Solomon. David repented and Solomon didn't. See, y'all got to be careful because success as nice as it feels is also a poison. You know a lot of the kings and the leaders of Old Testament, they walked away from the Lord because they did wrong with the success God gave them. See, some of us, we're really successful right now, but God's not looking at the success. He's looking at your heart in the success. I don't care how much money you have, how much your business has grown, if success has taken you, you've gained the world and you've lost your soul. He says, "They cried with loud voices, I'm going to skip down a little bit because I don't want to read some names that I can't pronounce correctly." They said, "Blessed be your glorious name and may be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their story hosts, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything and the multitudes of heaven worship you. I want you to understand as they're repenting. in his proper place and keep them in their proper place. So they start with this worship and they insult the Lord above all earth and they're saying, God, you're above all things and you're in all things and you're through all things. So in the process of repentance, it's understanding that yes, your ways are not his ways

and your thoughts are not his thoughts as far as the heaven is above the earth, so are his ways above yours. But here's a beautiful thing. That's what it says in the scriptures. But then also in the New Testament, it says, who can know the mind and the heart of God but the spirit of God? Guess where the spirit of God dwells? If you're a Christian, you're supposed to say in me. If you're not a Christian, he's not dwelling in you. I know that's a little blunt, but it's the truth. 'Cause when I stand before the Lord, I don't want to be like, he lied to me. No, no, no, no. I'm gonna give you straight from the scriptures. And it says, it says, here we go. Sorry, the page turned. It says, you are the Lord God, the chose of Abraham who bought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and named him Abraham. You found his heart faithful to you and you made covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, parasites, Jebusites and gurgershites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous. You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt. You heard their cry in the Red Sea and you guys, you can write this down. You can see the exegetical motif.

I know that's a big word, it's just Exodus motif. You see that theme pronounced all throughout the Old Testament. It's repeated over and over again because they had to remind their people where God brought them from. So if you're in this room and you become a crunchy Christian and you're looking at other people like, I can't believe they would wear that. You might have forgotten your testimony. (congregation clapping) So in your process of repenting, you gotta remind yourself like, "Oh, I remember I was in these streets too, acting like a street cat." Uh-huh. You gotta remind yourself that God delivered you from something too. So guess what, have grace for yourself and have grace for someone else. Lord God, we repent for any time we act self-righteous. We repent for any time we take on the title of Pharisee and not sons and daughters, in Jesus' name. Y'all know like in the story of the prodigal son, the son that came home repented while the son that was still in the house never repented. Think about that. The son that stayed in the house never repented on his attitude towards his brother. But yet the son who was out there came back and said,

"Lord, forgive me, for I've sinned against you father. Forgive me." So what does that tell me? Just because you're in the building doesn't mean you're in the act of repentance. Some y'all think, listen, standing in the garage doesn't make you a vehicle, okay? Go ahead, stand in the garage for a day. Guess what? You're not gonna transform, I'll tell you that much. Some y'all, I go to church every Sunday, but you're unrepentant towards your brother. Scripture says to lay your offering down at the altar and go repent and go make reconciliation with your brother. See, reconciliation, the prefix "re" means to bring back. So before there's reconciliation, there must be conciliation. What is conciliation? To address the offense. Anyone who grew up in a family were like, "Oh, we'll just sweep it under the rug." Y'all is, man, you definitely know what I'm talking about. Let's just sweep it under the rug and move forward. Why you gotta bring that up again? Because there was no repentance. There was no forgiveness exchanged. What do you mean, sweep it under the rug? There's no rug anymore, it's just a pile of stuff. And then they blame you. Why you always gotta bring that person bring it up?

Because there's no peace. If you, listen, if you live in repentance, also on the other side of that coin is being a peacemaker. You see, I'ma get it. I got two minutes left. Jesus, please. Oh, I don't. Okay, cool. I'ma get into it. We're not called to be peacekeepers. Some of y'all are Christians and you think like, "Oh, I'm a peacekeeper." No, no, no. Jesus was a peacemaker. What does a peacemaker mean? It means he got in the middle of the conflict. He got in the middle of the conflict and he brought healing to both sides. So stop walking around. I'm just a peacekeeper. I'm just trying to keep the peace. I'm just trying to keep the peace. You're not keeping real peace. That's a fabricated piece that you have to sustain. See, peacemakers sees conflicts as Lord. If you call me to the middle of that, I wanna make peace between these two parties. See, a peace keeper's like, I don't want to rock the boat. A peacemaker's like, I know this boat's rocking, but we're going to bring settlement to this.

That's true, that's true reconciliation. What did Jesus do? He's a peacemaker. He made peace between man and God. Some of y'all keep on waiting for someone else to like, you want to get in the middle of that and talk to him? And God is like, I called you to do it. But God, it's so awkward. But being a peacemaker is so pleasurable to the kingdom. See, when your kingdom minded, you're like, I'm getting in the middle of this because I believe the kingdom agenda needs to move forward. So they go on, verse 13, it says, you came down from Mount Sinai, you spoke to them from heaven, you gave them regulations and laws, and they keep on going through this exodus motif of all the things that they had done wrong. And it says, verse 19, "But of your great compassion, you didn't abandon them in the wilderness. By day, a pillar of the cloud did not fail them to guide their path, nor a pillar of fire by night. You give your good spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold manner from their mouths. You gave them water for their thirst. For 40 years, you sustained them in the wilderness. They lacked nothing. They're closing the way out in order. Their feet become swollen." And they keep on going on, and they're reminding themselves of all that God did for them.

And they repent, and there's a great cry going on. The crying to the Lord is that we repent because we forgot these ways, we forgot these things. A lot of us have forgotten what the Lord has done in our lives, and therefore we don't repent. I want to see this city transform. I want to see Memphis transform, but if we don't repent, he won't transform. Some of us in this room right now, we're like, God, I'm trying to experience your blessing. I want you to bless me. And he goes, before I can bless you, you got to repent. Before I can heal you, you got to repent. And some of us, we've been praying, and we're like, God, what's blocking this from happening? He's like, I can't draw near you because you're too proud. Look at Jonah. Jonah was sent to Nineveh, and he didn't even like any of the Ninevites. He said, you know what, Lord, if you want to kill him, kill him, take him. I don't like him anyways. I'm with you on this one. Smite them down. And God said, Jonah and Jonah preach, as he tells the Ninevites to repent. And he told them so much to repent because God is near, that the whole nation repented. They put sackcloth and ashes for 40 days. So what does that tell me?

The gospel, when you preach a gospel of repentance, even those who are living in the flesh can submit themselves before a holy God. Proverbs 28, 13 says, whoever conceals their sins does not prosper. But the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Y'all know repentance is a process, right? I think some of us, we've become too flippant and cavalier in just praying and being like, God, I'm sorry. And we just move on with our lives. And then somewhere in our hearts and our minds, they're like, I just, I don't feel like, I want to tell you three things that are necessary for repentance. Three things. The first thing, one, there's got to be holy conviction. There's got to be conviction. John 16, 8, it says, and when he comes, who's he that he's talking about in John 16, the Holy Spirit? He says, he will convict the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. So if you're sitting in this room and you haven't given your life to Jesus, the reason why you're not convicted of sin is because you don't have the Holy Spirit living in you to convict you of sin. And some of us like to lie to ourselves and say, well, I didn't know that was wrong. Yes, you did, you have the Holy Spirit living in you. When you get that little "A" in your gut right here

and you're like, oh, it's a gut check, no, it's the Holy Spirit going, uh-uh. Conviction comes after sin. I listen, I'm going to tell you when I talk to people and they're like, pastor, I'm struggling. That's music to my ears, because if you're struggling, that means you're fighting to believe the identity God gave you a son or daughter. That's why it's called the struggle. That's why people say, the struggle. The struggle is real because the promise is great. I get nervous when people come to me and they don't struggle anymore. Because if you don't struggle anymore, you've yielded yourself to that sin and you believe it's okay. You've come in alignment with that sin, you're like, "God, it's okay to be this way." It's okay to believe whatever sexual identity that they placed on me. It's okay to believe that if my mom and dad did it this way, then I'm gonna do it this way. It's okay to cheat and steal and lie to get ahead. It's okay, but once the Holy Spirit fills you, you realize this is not okay anymore. This is not okay anymore. It's like that moment when you watch it, you know the movies, your parents used to let you watch as a kid and then you get older and you watch it and you're like, "You let me watch this?"

You know what I'm talking about? Right, as a kid, my grandmother would let me watch the omen. It's okay, it's in the Bible. That's not in the Bible, what is, you know? See, that's what conviction brings. It allows you to see it God's way and be like, "Oh Lord, there's something wrong." That's number one, number two, confession. What does confession mean? God, I agree with you the way you view this. Conviction and confession. God, I agree with you because your ways are better than mine. In James 5, 15 and 16, it says, "And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick "and the Lord will raise him up "and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. "Therefore," everyone say, "Therefore," anytime you see, "Therefore" in scripture, you gotta ask yourself, "What is that therefore?" That's, come on, that's Bible 101 teaching right there. Some of y'all gonna get that later this week, the light bulbs are gonna go off in the room and be like, "Oh my gosh, I get it now." Come on, some of y'all, you know what I'm talking about. Y'all be pulling scriptures out of context to justify your sin sometimes. You know it. Well, Jesus turned water into wine. Yeah, but he didn't promote alcoholism, so go figure. And then you got these online preachers who are like,

"You don't gotta give your time 10% to the church." The other alternative to do what they did in Acts and give everything, right? Sell your house, sell your possessions. That's the other alternative. So if you don't wanna give 10%, that means you gotta do above and beyond. But go ahead, you keep on listening to that TikTok. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. It says, "Therefore, confess your sins to one another "and pray for one another that you may be healed. "The prayer of a righteous person has great power "as it is working." So it's not only confession to God. We see in the scriptures, it says, "Confess your sins to who? "One another." Confess your sins to one another. God's desires for you to be healed. The only way he could turn that test into a testimony is if you confess to one another. But right now, it's still remaining a test because for some reason you don't wanna confess to anybody. Conviction, confession. And then there's conversion. What is conversion is to turn and walk the other way, right? I would hate to be remembered in the Bible this way, but it's kinda funny when Jesus is walking to a town, it says that a man climbed a tree and we all know the song of "We Little Man" named Zacchaeus.

Imagine if they wrote you in the Bible that way, he was a small little guy, you know? I'd be like, "Come on." Imagine when we get to heaven be like, "Oh, there's that "We Little Man" Zacchaeus. "You made it." It says, "Jesus," they say, "Hey, little guy." Zacchaeus, I'm coming to your house and here's a conversion because Zacchaeus was a tax collector that ripped off his own people. He was a Jewish man ripping off his brothers and sisters. And as soon as Jesus got into the house, Zacchaeus, what do you say, he made a conversion. He turned from, he goes, "God, you know what? "I've cheated people. "I've cheated my own brothers and sisters. "I've wronged them. "I've taken more from them than I should have." And so what I'm going to do, 'cause I'm gonna make reconciliation with my brothers, I'm gonna give away more than I've taken. I wanna tell you, repentance doesn't matter if you don't change your ways. Jesus, the Word says in scripture, though they honor me with their mind. So tonight we're gonna have an altar time and you're gonna pray, "God, I repent, I repent." Amen, but just like James says, faith without works is dead. So don't just say it with your mouth.

Come up with a plan. That's conversion. It's not just getting the lights on your dashboard turned on in your car. It's taking it to the mechanic to say, "Hey, hey, these all gotta go off." Come on, I'm from New York. When the lights turned on in my car, I thought the whole thing was broken. It's broke, leave it right there. You see, some of us, we come down every week for prayer and we come down every week and we repent and we're convicted and we confess, but we never make that conversion point. We're like, "I gotta turn away from this." Come up with a plan, find a leader, find a brother, sits in Christ and say, "Hey, here's my plan because I'm gonna put my faith to work." Some of us are like, God, you do it. God just take it away. God just take it away. No, no, no, no. Scripture says, "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling." You see, some of us don't like to work out because we don't like to go to the gym, but this house is a gym. We are working out. So when you come down here, when you repent, you say, "God, I'm turning away from it,

but give me a kingdom plan on how to keep it dead." There's so much more scripture and you gotta, that was Jesus' whole thing. The first thing he came on the scene, he said, "Repent." You have to understand when Jesus said, "Repent, turn away for the kingdom of heaven is amongst you right now." Repentance is an invitation to intimacy. It's an open invitation to intimacy. So when you say, when you see Jesus say, "Repent and turn away from your wickedness." It's an invitation to say, "Come close to me, but you can only come close to me if you abandon your way of thinking." I think it's in the Greek or the ancient Hebrew, when they talked about repent the whole idea and the thought around it, when I looked it up, it means literally like burning your way of thinking, setting fire to it. Like you would a house and you're saying, "I'm abandoning this house. I'm abandoning this lifestyle. I'm abandoning this way of thinking because this house would lead to death. I thought it looked good, but then the Holy Spirit came in and showed me, this wasn't a house, this was a crack den. But Lord God, I see your healing and power. I see the family you placed me in. I see the house that you placed me

and that's what we've been grafted in. Didn't you see in scripture when Jesus says, the Holy Spirit will come and we will make a home with you? He can't make a home if you own the land. Some of my real estate people know what I'm talking about. He ain't building a home on land that belongs to you. The land's got to be his. The house got to be his. The furniture's got to be his. The windows got to be his. Your eyes got to be his. This is why it says, "Be careful what you allow your eyes to see because they're gates." In ancient Hebrew, they believe gates were portals. So whatever you allow in is in that house. This is why you repents that God forgive me because sometimes I'm a terrible homeowner. But you're a great homeowner. So whatever I let in, it's not supposed to be in there. Be gone in Jesus' name because it's covered by the blood. I repent God, I repent from letting it in. Please stand up all over this place. I wanna do some ministry time because I feel like we just can't preach the word without having a time of repentance. And I wanna open up the altars because I believe right now, just like Israel, where you can come down here and repent and not only just say God, I'm convicted

and I'm confessing, but God, give me a godly plan to stay repentant, to stay on my knees. So all the leaders in this church come up here, people. All right, I'm gonna count on three, right? If you don't have Jesus, today's the day of salvation, today's the day where you can turn it around. That's one, number two, Jesus died for your sin and he rose with all power. And three, he says, come and repent for my yoke is easy, my burden is light, every head bowed and every eye closed. Come down, if you got something you need to repent for, come, come, share it with the leader. Listen, don't worry about the person, He's going to ask you about this moment. How come you didn't repent when the moment was available? Come on, come on, come on. If you have anything that repentful comes and confess, I can tell you these people won't hold it against you because they have repented of sins that they've confessed to someone. Come on, tonight's the night of repentance. If you want revival in your home, if you want revival in your business, if you want revival in your parenting, come and repent. God, I've been doing it my way. If you want revival in your sexuality, come, repent. Don't stand there like you haven't been looking at things online. God knows he just wants you to repent. (Music) (Music) If you couldn't make it down into the altar, the beauty about this room is that you can turn around and make that seat and altar. And altar isn't about a position of place in the room, it's about a position of the heart. And I want to let you know that as your repenting scripture says that Christ is faithful to forgive, he doesn't hold your sins against you as he should because it's the blood of Jesus that intercedes at the right hand of the Father. So as you repent, Jesus is on your behalf, pleading as the great high priest who doesn't grow weary and he doesn't grow tired. And he's saying, look at my blood that washes away the sins of man. Look at my blood, that's what it says in Hebrews, that he doesn't grow weary interceding for you. He doesn't grow weary. His blood doesn't run dry on your life. So as you repent, just know you have a loving God who is there to grab you in his arms and say, you are my son, you are my daughter, and you I am well pleased. You don't have to be scared of God. If you ever what he thinks about you and you're saying how could I repent do you know the pills I took how could I repent do you know the abortion I had how could I repent you know the alcohol I drink how could I repent you know the people I've slept with how could I repent I want to let you know the blood of Jesus greater than your greatest sin tonight tonight's the night of repentance don't let this night go this is a holy night this is a holy night this is a night where God wants to know you intimately Lord God for my brothers and sisters please Lord I plead on their behalf in the name of Jesus don't let a hard heart take them tonight don't let sin heart in their heart Lord God but today is the day of salvation because today is the day of repentance so Lord God in Jesus name don't let another moment in you go by where we don't repent Lord God and Lord God I thank you Lord God for all that you're doing in the room I thank you for the repentance because the lost sons and daughters are coming home they're claiming their title in the kingdom and so Lord God has revival begins to break out in this room Lord God Lord God I pray confession for this room I pray conviction for this room I pray conversion in this room and I thank you for the blood of Jesus that even in the

prisons right now though they may be locked up physically they have been sent free spiritually and so Lord God we thank you Lord God that right now Lord God repentance is going up all over the world Lord God it's going up all over this nation Lord God wherever this is stream repentance is coming forth and the kingdom of heaven is falling right in their place Lord God we just thank you Lord God Jesus thank you for the blood of Jesus have your way in this place have your way in this house. Lord God made the blood of Jesus wash away every sin Lord God made the blood of Jesus soften every hard heart we don't want to see it our way anymore we want to see your way God show us how to live out your way that rivers of living water may flow from us we repent hallelujah for lost hallelujah God and return we return we repent for lost sin and return we return we're going to keep this atmosphere of prayer going on please feel free to come up if you see a prayer partner open you see a leader open you need prayer please feel free to come up and not go back home with whatever you brought in here today revival is here we're going to be back here tomorrow and on Friday and on Sunday but don't come alone bring somebody else with you somebody else that needs a touch from God bring them with you here and let's join in as we seek God for changing our lives we love you all God bless you and keep you you're welcome to stay as long as you need
