Our Positive Confession By: Dr. Pete Norris

Today on Power in the Word Welcome to Power in the Word In our society today we hear so many voices and so many words But what's coming out of our mouth? Well today Dr. Norris teaches us how important our words are And how those words determine our victory in this life It's an encouraging word so you stay with us How many of you know that heaven, when God said this to me last week I never heard it before, how many of you know heaven's voice activated? And that's why we're living here on earth but we're really in heaven Because this is the heavenly realm God brought heaven down here through Jesus to earth And the kingdom of God, Luke 17, 21 Lo here, lo there, for the kingdom is inside of us The kingdom is right here Now Genesis chapter 2 verse 7 says that he made us a living soul How many of you know the actual Hebrew word for that means a speaking spirit? Elephant come up to Adam and he called it an elephant He called it what it was, it still is what he called it How many of you know that Eve was not given her name except by Adam after the fall? She was Adam before the fall, she become Eve after the fall Who gave her the name? Adam How many of you know Adam had power and authority to give every name to everything on earth? Now I want you to listen to me very carefully Because here's where some people get frustrated and disappointed Everything you speak out of your mouth you activate one or two rims You activate the demonic rim or you activate the spirit rim which is Christ, the Christ rim One of those two will be activated by your words You say well pastor it seems like the negative things come to manifestation much quicker than the positive things It's because you're so adapted to the negative things more than you are the positive things

That's why those things come to pass Exactly where you're living in your life is what you spoke out of your mouth How many of you know God didn't do anything without speaking at first? If God did it that way that's the only way you're going to get it You can't hope for it, you got to speak it, you got to speak it You didn't get saved without speaking it You got a confession, right? Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth and that shall be what? Saved So I want you to go to Joshua chapter 1 verse 8 I'm probably not going to say anything you don't already know But I'm probably going to say it different than you've ever heard it And a lot of times we know stuff but we just don't do it It's very important what comes out of your mouth Religion will kill you And if you don't activate heaven, heaven's not going to activate Listen, you'll sit right beside somebody getting something every week And you ain't getting it because of your attitude and what's coming out of your mouth So go to Joshua 1 and 8 The book of the law shall not depart from your mouth But you shall meditate in it day and night Keep it in your mouth, meditate What does meditate mean? It's to murmur it, say it over and over and over and over and over and over Exactly what you see When you're alone, what are you saying? What kind of attitude you got when you're alone? What kind of attitude you got when you're by yourself? My dad used to say, integrity is what you do when nobody's watching What are you doing when you're by yourself?

Now you say all the right things around church folks Right? You're very careful what you say You say the right things at the right time Because we've been trained to be that way But what you do in private is exactly what comes to light in your life And if you ain't speaking right You say, well pastor, he knows what I mean No he doesn't But you shall meditate in it day and night That you observe to do according to all that's written therein And then, what does it say? It doesn't say God will prosper It says you will prosper You will make your way prosperous And then you will have good success He doesn't say he's going to do anything Because God's done everything But he's given you the power to speak it To meditate on it To say it over and over until it manifests in your life I never forget what they told Arnold Schwarzenegger They were interviewing him They said one time I'll never forget this, this spoke to me And he said, you come to America and you were a bodybuilder How did you create your life that you got right now? He's a politician He's done all kinds of things And he was a weightlifter

He said, I painted a picture and I stepped in it How many of you have a picture of what you want it to be And you're going to step in it? Or are you satisfied being content, broke, busted and disgusted? Why? Because that's the mentality that we have along the way That God wants you to prosper, be in health And see the blessings of God If he hadn't, he wouldn't have said My beloved brethren, I wish you above all things That you prosper and be in health Even as your soul prospers You've got to see yourself and speak it into your life I used to say it over my son before he was Anita was pregnant with John Thomas I used to say it all the time I'd speak over him I'd say, he's going to be the smartest one in his class That boy's never made a B in his life that for me okay but where did he get it from he said well he was just smart no he was I don't believe that I believe what you speak over your life is gonna manifest in your life I speak blessings over my children I speak favor over my children I speak favor over my grandchildren I speak favor over my life listen if you don't speak favor over your life who's gonna talk it over you nobody but you're gonna you want to make your way prosperous you want to have good success you got to meditate on this word day and night God told Joshua to put the Word of God in his mouth you got to put it in your mouth you ever get around Christians you'd watch here well I mean it's I'm just told him along oh it's a tough life brother well how was it before you got born again do you remember those days how was that man this is a good life this is a good life

I see the favor of the Lord all the time in my life this is a good life go to John chapter 12 verse 47 what's this now think about what you say if anyone hears my words and does not believe I do not judge him for he I did not come to judge the world but I come to save the world see I don't understand how preachers can preach judgmental things and read that scripture Jesus said I didn't come to judge the world I come to save the world save the world from what hail do you know that when Adam lost everything Lucifer brought hell on the earth 48 he who rejects me does not receive my words has that which judges him the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last days so his words gonna continuously travel through time and his word that he spoke before the foundation of the world is gonna catch you at the end look at 49 for I have not spoken on my own authority but the father who sent me gave me a command what I should say and what I should speak what's he saying this is in red this is Jesus said I had a command what was the command what I should say and what I should speak what I should say and what I should speak verse 50 and I know his command is everlasting life therefore whatever I speak just as the father have told me so I speak it so what's he saying Jesus said the only thing I say is what I've heard the father say the only thing I do is what I heard the father say what if the only thing you spoke was what he spoke how powerful would your life be if you only spoke what he spoke how many of you really think have you ever said sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt words will kill you the church is dying because of what they speak at all negativity mass amen we need to speak a life when you speak blessings we need to speak favor over I need to see prosperity and abundance coming in their life listen people are derived by you and say man something different about that dude because people's living in fear and anxiety and all kinds of panic ideal and we are blessed and highly favored and we're sitting around when you can't tell us apart they all look look at us and say there's something different about that dude there's something different about I feel I get around him I feel something they ought to feel the spirit of the

Lord when they get around us guys Smith Wigginsworth to be on a bus he'd be reading the Bible people fall on their face confessing what was the day he was just reading the Bible there was something about he carried a presence we ought to carry a presence to when people get around us that something's changed when people are good need that they'll be ringing our phone because they know we got the answers what happened in Acts 3 Peter and John went up this guy at the gate called beautiful to the silver and gold I don't have but what I do have I'm about to give it to you in the name of Jesus rise up and walk listen he didn't ask to be saved he didn't ask to be healed he told him he spoke to his spirit said rise up and walk get up go about your business well did the Holy Ghost move upon Peter and John I think the Holy Ghost was in before they got there and all of a sudden they spoke and said in the name of Jesus rise up walk I don't have no money to give you but I got something to give you get you the money guys we don't understand that what comes out of our mouths is powerful what we speak out of our mouth is live listen you're living exactly where you're speaking go with me to Proverbs chapter 3 verse 3 let not mercy and truth forsake you bind them around your neck write them on the tablet of your heart how do we write things on the tablets of our heart through our words you say well pastor prove that we'll go to Psalms 45 and verse 1 this is powerful my heart is overflowing with a good theme I recite my composition concerning the king my tongue is the pen of a ready rider in other words what I speak out of my mouth I'm riding on the on the on the prairies of my heart I'm riding it on my heart what I'm speaking out of my house see you don't believe you don't believe anybody more than you do you your mouth ought to be a pen of a ready rider it'll be writing the things on your heart that you want to compose and come to come to fruition in your life and when you speak those things out of your mouth over and over and over that's what Joshua said meditate upon my word day and night that don't mean sit around and just say it all day long it means keep it in your heart all the day and as you're walking around just meditate speak life over yourself speak truth over yourself speak healing over

yourself speak prosperity over yourself speak abundance over yourself listen to me I don't want to be I don't want to be negative right here but I want you to understand something the adversary is real If you don't talk to him, he's going to talk to you. And you need to speak life and health over yourself. Listen, he'll come at you at any time. But you've got to be able to speak and talk to him and say, look, you know, that doesn't mean you're not going to have some symptoms, but they can't remain. Because greater is he that's in you than he is in the world. And we've got to understand that my tongue is a pen of a ready writer. In other words, when I speak it out of my mouth, the adversary knows when you've got authority. Smith Wigglesworth, he was at a bus stop. And this lady had a little puppy, and the puppy followed her to the bus stop. And the lady said, sweetie, you go back home, talking to the little dog. The dog just stood there. He said, sweetie, go back home. The dog just stood there. So the woman looked at him and screamed and said, go back home. Smith Wigglesworth looked at her and said, that's how you need to do the devil. And he'll go back home. See, listen to me. You think it's not important what you speak out of your mouth.

But it's the difference in victory and defeat. What did Julius Caesar do? He took the boat over. He was scared the soldiers were going to run. So what did he do? He burnt the daggone boat. They couldn't run. Listen, God made a way and built a bridge. You can't be defeated. The only way you can be defeated when you're destroyed by a lack of knowledge, of not knowing that what you say out of your mouth is going to take fruit in your life, it's going to come to fruition in your life, and it's going to manifest in your life. If you speak negative and doubt long enough, it's going to rise up in your life and you're going to live there. And there ain't nothing any church can do. You can't anoint it away. You can't fast it away. You can't pray it away. It's all determined by what you say out of your mouth. Your mouth is going to determine where you're going to go with everything in life. Because the Bible said, whatever a man believeth in his heart, so is he, Proverbs 23 and 7. So what you speak out of your mouth is going to manifest in your life. It's no other way around it. Well, pastor, I say the right thing most of the time.

No, it's the attitude of what you say. If you don't believe what you're saying, you can say it all you want to and be a parakeet. A parakeet don't never get no revelation. All he does is repeat what you say. The church is full of parakeeters. We're repeating what the word says, but we don't believe and have a revelation of what the word says. And if we have a revelation of the word, that's what faith is. Faith comes by hearing. Where do you hear it? From yourself. Deuteronomy 28, 1 and 2. And everybody knows the scripture. But it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, and to observe to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee up high above all the nations of the earth. And what does he say here? I'll set you up high. Set you up high. The Bible says you and I are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2 and 8. He told you right here that if you'll do this, this will happen. He'll set you up high above all the nations of the earth. Verse 2. And all these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee.

And if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Now the word hearken in the actual Hebrew means to hear intelligently and declare. To hear intelligently and declare. That's what hearken means. So what's he saying here? And all these blessings shall come upon thee and overtake thee if thou shalt hear intelligently and declare the voice of the Lord thy God. How do I speak the voice of the Lord thy God when I'm repeating and I'm speaking his words over my life? When I'm speaking his revelation over my life? When I'm speaking his promises over my life? When I'm speaking those things over my life? It don't happen just, listen, things don't show up just because you're good. They show up when you manifest them in your own life. When you begin to speak them into your life and manifest them in your life. God's done everything he's going to do. It's your opportunity to manifest what he's given you. But it's not going to happen unless you speak it. How many of you went to the mailbox today and you got an unexpected check? There's about 75 people in here and nobody got one today. OK, we'll ask again tomorrow night. Those things don't happen. How many of you ever went in your backyard yesterday and there was an apple laying on the ground? Listen, an apple never has a problem,

an apple seed never has a problem producing an apple. God created one apple seed and what's happened? We've been eating apples for how many years? With one apple, he created one seed. And that seed's got enough power in it to reproduce itself over and over. How many of you know that you've got enough power in your words to reproduce over and over and over and over? He made one person and now there's a bunch of us. He made one apple and now there's a bunch of us. He made an acorn and now look at the big old oak trees. With one seed. And that seed, see the only thing the world's not been able to do is comprehend is to create a seed. They can hybrid a seed, they can do all kinds of things with a seed, but they can't create a seed. How in the world was God intelligent enough to create enough apples with one seed to know that we were ever going to have apples to feed everybody in the whole world? There's 7 billion people here, guys. How did he know how to create enough oxygen that we can all live? There was only two people here in the beginning and one of them was inside of the other so it didn't take much oxygen. So how did he? He created enough for seven billion people and then we think that God's not real my goodness How do we get an idea that he's not omnipresent that he's everywhere think about it a minute What creates and activates everything in the world if heaven's voice activated how we're going to activate it?

Any of you can be riding down the road in your car now and you can step you can you can tell your car Call mama and your car call your mama Or you can call daddy or whoever you want to call your father call him in your car You're riding in the car driving and you call him mama What if we got it when I got that from where did they get it from? They got it from activated cuz heaven's activated by a voice Do you understand that you ain't getting no listen voices never stop People are hearing me a thousand miles away from here tonight Because Voices are going everywhere Lot being last Elias remember God looked over the balcony, and it was total darkness. He didn't speak it He said a lot of me and a lot come right out of the darkness Guys, do you understand in your darkest time you need to speak light? You don't need to see the darkness. You don't need to see the pit you need to speak a lot listen You're living like what are you speaking into your life? You're never gonna rise you above your confession That's why Christianity is called the Christianity is what the great confession So watch this I want you to go with me somewhere go meet a Romans chapter 10 verse 10 8 and 9 watch this But what saith it the word is not thee even in thy mouth and in thy heart that is the word of faith which we preach Look at verse 9 If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus shall believe in the heart that God have raised him from the dead Now where did we get accept and believe and confess it took us a while to get that one out of that He said if thou confess with thy mouth and Shall believe in thine heart because here's where people struggle you ever heard people say well I don't know if they were real serious about it You ever heard that How did we know if they're real serious you got to be in a desperate need or did he say you got to be in a Desperate need and you got to be real serious Or he said if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus shall believe in thine heart that shall be saved It's that simple why because it's in your mouth, and it's in your heart keep it not of thee What happens everything that comes out of your mouth is exactly what you believe

Now you can convince it and try to be religious and say I don't believe that But it doesn't shoot out of your mouth if you don't believe it because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks People try to tell me all that well. I didn't mean to sit slip and say that ugly word sure you did sure you did Sure you did sure you did It was in here, or it wouldn't have come out Why didn't why didn't little wheelie come out or Johnny Brown why did they have to be something that was wrong? Because it's what was in your heart And what happens is life calcifies us in the world because we don't stay in an intimate relationship with the Lord and stay in fellowship With him to where we fed ourself on that word so what comes out of us What we've been hearing what we've been listening to there's nothing wrong with watching movies nothing wrong with any of those things But I'm telling you if you watch them over and over and over and over you gonna get that stuff in your heart And it's gonna shoot out of your mouth Because the eye gate and the ear gate is the only way you gonna have a gate that gets into your heart You need to guard your heart Now watch this go with me to Proverbs chapter 6 verse 2 Thou are snared with the words of thy mouth thou are taken with the words of thy mouth in other words You're put in a trap by the words of your mouth You go your mouth will get you any ever said anything, and you wish my lord I wish I could take that back, and then you tell the person that you said it to I didn't mean it You know you're lying You're lying because either ways the Bible is not true, or you're lying, and I would pretty much say that you're lying Because the Bible is true if he said out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speak well pastor I didn't mean it What I'll tell you what you do tonight and see how this goes for you You go home and not you ready to go to bed in the last out and you kiss your wife and say Mary It's good to be with you and her name ain't Mary I Didn't mean to say that I bet she won't care if you meant to say it or not right So if you ever get married the first time Mary the same name the next time

It don't have to be a God thing find one with the same name Go to Matthew 17 20 and Jesus said unto them because of your unbelief for I barely say unto you That's it. This is very important right here guys This is very important that we get a hold of this Because he said this over and over and I need to go through your Bible I told you that not you need to go through your Bible find out for barely. I say unto you What's he telling us? He's telling you exactly what to do right here. I say unto you I say unto you making it personal if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed you shall say unto this mountain Remove hints to yonder place, and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible with you He said you got to say to that mountain you got to speak to that thing in your life guys You got to talk to it. You got a stalk to it. You got to talk to it. You got to talk to it let's go to Mark chapter 11 verse 22 and 23 we're gonna verify this again and Jesus answered and said have faith in God have God kind of faith how do I have God kind of faith by speaking it Proverbs chapter Romans chapter 12 verse 3 says that I have the measure of faith but look at 23 for verily I say unto you for verily I say unto you for verily I say unto you now see most of you know exactly what I'm saying because you've heard it has been preached to you for 25 years but a lot of times along the way we kind of let that drift away and we go back to our old ways that so ever say unto this man be thou removed to be cast in sea shall not down in his heart but shall believe those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith so he's saying that whatever you're gonna have in your life is what you're gonna say what are you saying what are you so what are you saying no all the time what are you saying you ever heard a husband or a man and they'll come to marry from you need a marriage counseling I've been doing this a long time and they'll come and tell me everything that's wrong with the husband and then he'll tell me everything that's wrong with the wife and then I know immediately what the problem is I've got half the truth from her and half the truth from him and now there's a real truth that nobody knows why because of the perception your husband or your wife is never going to change as long as you talk how they are

instead of not how they're gonna be the prophet come to David and told Jesse said look you got a son he's gonna be a king he brought all seven kids out by the wife he had in the house he said ain't nothing with one of them how do you reckon he recognized the king he said ain't you got another boy he said yeah I got I got a regular boy back here but he's up a different woman because Jesse you know he run around so he called Jesse out called David called David out and the prophet said that's him that's him he's gonna be the king of Israel David went immediately back to the sheep because until you can get along with the sheep you can't lead people he was not made a king but he was a king material he was made a king because he was God material see God don't call qualified people he qualifies people that he calls but see here's the real deal when you can speak right you can live in that office what am I saying I want you to go with me to Psalms 119 Psalms 119 forever Oh Lord thy word is settled in heaven now I'm fixing to show you something the word of God can only activate in the heavenly realm the negative dark world only acts of activates in the earthly realm death and life are in the power of the tongue okay the Word of God only acts of activates in the heavenly realm the words that you speak that are not in the heavenly realm and don't come out of the Word of God in which are not truth they activate the earthly realm the heavenly realm will override the earthly realm because this is a heavenly realm instead of an earthly realm that's why people that are in the world can prosper and be successful because they talk to the right realm the church hasn't learned to talk to the right realm realm they're talking to the earthly realm when we need to be talking to the heavenly realm because that overrides the earthly realm you didn't get born in the earthly realm you got born out of the earthly realm into the heavenly realm and though you exist in the earth you're not from here and this is not your realm but the realm that you have is on the inside of you and you override this realm that's how one day you're going out of here when you share the earthly realm vessel that keeps you here because you're more heavenly than you are earthly so you

can't remain so what God intended for you to do is activate everything in the heavenly realm on earth while you're in the earthly suit but once you leave here you won't need a voice anymore because everything will be overtaken by you already go me to Psalms 89 stay with me Psalms 89 you're gonna understand how powerful your voice is my covenant I will not break nor order the thing that go that is gone out of my lips I my covenant I will not break him even though he can't break his covenant the only way you have the power to activate his covenant to speak it God didn't cut a covenant with you he cut a covenant with his son and that you just be you're you're you're an inheritance of it you're a beneficiary of his covenant he fixed it where you couldn't mess it up but the only way you can activate it is by the by your words that's why if the world don't know the word they can't activate the kingdom that's why the Bible says they're outside the kingdom you can do it only by inheritance you good go to Job 22 verse 28 thou shalt also decree a thing now how many of you know the word thing there in the actual Hebrew is the word word the Bible said Jesus was called a holy thing he was a holy word in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. How many of you know that He was the Word that came to earth and took on flesh? You were a Word that came to earth and took on flesh and now you're the Word and you're gonna turn back into the Word because now you speak the Word and you turn into what you've been speaking. All you're gonna do is a manifestation of what you believe. You're gonna turn into what you believe. When you leave here, stay here, go from here. That's why you're a Word spoken out of time for such a time as this. You're a Word that was spoken thousands of years ago and you manifested now at a point in time and now you're alive in that Word and that Word gave birth to you and you manifested that Word and now you are the Word. You didn't get born again by that Word, you got up to become a being of that Word. You remember what Jesus told the woman and He told the woman, here's what He told the woman, she'd been bent over and He said, should not this a daughter of Abraham, being a daughter of Abraham,

not acting like the daughter of Abraham, but being a daughter of Abraham, being a daughter. You are operating the kingdom because of your being, not because of your rightness, not because of your performance, because of His performance. That's what grace is, guys. He's opened up the kingdom that the world can't speak and the church hasn't learned the spiritual laws of words. Spiritual laws of words. What did He talk about in Mark 4? We're gonna sow a Word. You sow that Word and it's gonna come to life. What are you sowing in your life? Look at Hebrews 1 and 14, everybody knows this one. Are they not all many spirits sent forth to minister for them, not to them? How many of you know angels have been sent to minister for you, not to you? How many of you know you've got angels all around you all the time? How many of you really believe you've got angels all around you all the time? Even when you're acting foolish? Even when you're speaking negative? How many of you know that when you speak negative, other angels show up? You need to listen to me. Because what you do is you open up the door. When you speak things that don't line up with the Word, when you ran off and speak those negative comments, darkness, the powers of darkness has the opportunity now to come and activate what you've just spoken because you've given them authority with your words because you have authority. The Bible says at the end of time, we're gonna judge the angels. Now the angels are coming to minister to you. So the dark angels, the ones on the dark side, on Lucifer's side, which are the five rims, which matches the five rims on the spiritual side of Jesus' side, they come to activate when you speak negative and doubt.

You don't get away with it, guys. You don't get away with speaking negative and negativity. They're gonna come up and show up. And you give them power to activate. Angels can't do anything until you give them the power. Go to Psalms 103 verse 20. You say, well, prove this. I'm going to. Bless the Lord, all ye his angels, who excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening. Now the word hearkening here is the same identical word as in Deuteronomy 28 and 2. It says hearkening means to hear intelligently and declare. So when you hear intelligently and hearken to the voice of his Word. So what does the angels do? They excel in strength when you speak the Word. They excel in strength when you speak the Word. You activate the spiritual rim that you want to live in. You activate the spiritual level you want to speak out of. Thank you for joining us today at Power in the Word.
