Living With Eternity in Mind | Philippians: The A-Life Mentality (Part 10)
Living with an eternal perspective changes how you live and how you give. In his letter to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul encouraged the believers to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus and invest in things that will last for eternity.
The mission of Abundant Life is to see lives changed by Jesus. This eternal perspective calls us to be living proof of a loving God to a watching world. It comes from the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, where Jesus gave His disciples their mission. He challenged them to invest their lives into the two things that will last forever: the Word of God and the souls of men.
A focus on eternity is reflected in two ways: The way you LIVE and the way you GIVE!
The Philippians had given financially, faithfully, and sacrificially to support Paul’s ministry. Paul’s heartfelt gratitude for the Philippians’ sacrificial generosity shows the impact of faithful giving. When you give your dollars to things that last eternally, your dollars become destinies.
Money is necessary, but it is never the ultimate priority when you have an eternal perspective. Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he teaches how the abundant life is marked by living purposefully, giving generously, and focusing on eternity.
