Growing Spiritually Through Sanctification | Philippians: The A-Life Mentality (Part 5)
Sanctification is how a believer grows spiritually. It requires the believer to take personal responsibility for spiritual growth. In Philippians 2:12, the Apostle Paul tells his audience to “work out your own salvation.” What does that mean?
Sanctification is the process of working out your salvation and overcoming sin’s power. Believers are sanctified by taking spiritual next steps as directed by the Holy Spirit. These steps are unique to each individual follower of Jesus.
3 Stages of Our Salvation:
1) Justification: The salvation of the spirit.
2) Sanctification: The salvation of the soul.
3) Glorification: The salvation of the body.
Faith in action is obedience in motion, which leads to growth and sanctification. The A-Life is about fully emptying ourselves to become a living sacrifice for Christ.
Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he shares how sanctification involves submission to the Word of God and consecration to the Son of God.
