today on power in the world I'm going from life to life to life to life to life why because the spirit of life is in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death the same spirit that resurrected out of the tomb is the same spirits living inside me and you right now what is our problem if death couldn't keep us then sin can't hold us why because the spirit of life has pulled me out of sin and pulled me out of death and now I'm free I'm free from sin guys you can't listen you can't miss it welcome to power in the world so often we're affected by the circumstances of life that rob us of our peace well today dr. Norris teaches us that trusting the Holy Spirit that lives in us will guide our inner man to peace and joy this is an encouraging message that will help you a lot so you stay with us so today we want to talk about living from the inside look at somebody say I'm gonna live from the inside from the day this day on I love Proverbs 29 11 you know what it says a fool spews all his feelings but a wise man withholds them not calling you that now but a wise man withholds them right but a fool spews all his feelings you ever get irritated what comes out sometimes we get irritated what kind of comes out and we try to fight it with all which we can do this deal kind of mmm wish I could take that one back but I want you to I want you to turn to Proverbs 23 and 7 we're gonna get going today because we're gonna live from this day forward from the inside look at somebody say I'm living from the inside how do you think Jesus walks a powerful on the earth well John 10 18 said that he said I have the power to lay my life down had the power to take it back up why because I had a command from the Father the next line said I had a command from the Father see it's wonderful to know that when you lay down in death three days later you're going to get up it would be a little easier to lay your life down if you knew in three days you believe the Father that he was going to raise it up come on now somebody if you knew God was going to do what you were praying for you wouldn't pray 25 times if you knew he'd already done what he said he had done but see here here's the problem in the church and I don't want to be ugly I want to be real nice we're so interested in getting out of here the church is

wanting to go please Lord come please come Lord he's coming back okay he's coming back but he's coming back when we realize we're sons of God because the Bible said creations crying out for the revealing of the sons of God so let's go to Proverbs 23 and 7 for he as he thinks in his heart so is he now let me ask you something who are you now you got to understand according to Romans 1 and 4 Jesus never operated on the earth as a son of God he operates as a son of man because the Bible said in Romans 1 and 4 that he was declared to be the son of God after the resurrection so you and I've been sons of God the whole time because we were after the resurrection right now look at somebody say I'm a son of God so if the world if creations crying out for the revealings of son and God what's God waiting for he's waiting for the church to realize they're sons of God see you're some kind of something you're just waiting to happen you ain't realized you can happen yet look at somebody say I'm about to happen think about it guys God has done a wonderful thing so you so as a man thinks in his heart so easy now the word heart here is the words is the actual Greek word I mean Hebrew word for Suki and it's talking about the soul of a man so whatever you think right here is what you're gonna be because your heart's fixed because your heart is your conscience or your spirit so your spirits absolutely perfect it can't fall from perfection because you didn't make it perfected if you didn't do anything to make it perfected you can't do anything to lose the perfection come on somebody listen we got to understand we got it we got to get way past this religious stuff on the earth that we're worried about falling worried about missing God worried about whether we good enough or not worried about if I've done enough have a soda enough have a given up have a prayed enough have a read enough Jesus done a finished work on the cross and mean you're absolutely perfect because of what he done right with one offering Hebrews 10 and 14 with one offer he has perfected those that are being sanctified see guys I mean you're not a process we are that we're it we're a state of being we ain't something that's trying to change we're absolutely perfect operating in who we are think about it a minute you're not

trying you said why do you talk about this all the time because we got to understand who we are If we don't understand who we are we'll answer to anything Go me to Romans 8 and 2 and The spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and from the law of death So the spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death now What's this if I'm free from the law of sin? That means I can't see him And if I've been free from the law of death, that means I'm never gonna die Now now listen to me a minute. I think we've missed this thing because I don't think it's about heaven and hell I think it's about life and death because the Bible said in Proverbs 18 21 death and life are in the power of the tongue and the lips receive the fruit thereof now Isaiah, I mean Deuteronomy 30 and 19 says that we choose blessings or church curses death or life We choose we choose we choose in other words John said in John 10 10 the thief comes still comes through I came that you might have what? Life and have it more about it. Come turn to somebody I'm full of Zoe life I'm going from life the life the life the life the life Why because the spirit of life is in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death the same Spirit that resurrected out of the tomb is the same spirits living inside me and you right now. What is our problem? If death couldn't keep us then sin can't hold us Why because the spirit of life has pulled me out of sin and pulled me out of death and now I'm free I'm free from sin guys. You you can't you listen you can't miss it. Oh Covenant they were looking for a city New covenant church still looking for heaven looking for heaven looking for a place. We need to be looking for a person What was it? He told on the Mount of Transfiguration Moses and Elijah Jesus, you know the story Jesus Luke Moses been dead 1,500 years Moses said I want to see your glory. Jesus said you can't see my glory and live but 1,500 years on the Mount of Transfiguration There's Peter James and John standing at the foot of the Mount and there's Moses Elijah Jesus now Moses been dead 1,500 years

But now he's alive on the Mount talking with Jesus. Isn't that amazing that he gave him a chance even after? Oh Church ain't ready for this Church ain't ready for there's life. Listen God never talked about after life. He just talked about life God never told anybody how to get to heaven. He told him how to get eternal life So it's not about a place. We're going to go. It's about a person. We're in. Oh Come on somebody. So here's Peter James and John now Peter James and John, you know what that means? The law has been replaced by grace. So Moses on the Mount of Transfiguration. He's preaching grace to him. He's been dead 1,500 years 1,500 that's a long time And then all of a sudden Peter looks up and said look Should we be here? Peter's always talking way too much He whack a guy's ear off and then cuss somebody out and then preach a message 3,000 people get recreated That's the kind of people God picks in there. Why cuz he fixes them. He ain't waiting for you to fix you He made you whole right? So here's Elijah. Here's Jesus And here's Moses the only four three people in the Bible that fasted 40 days 40 40 40 is 120. Isn't that amazing? How many was in the upper room? Everybody represented listen to me. The people that was in the upper room was what represented Moses Elijah Jesus on the cross My god, are we powerful creatures or we just happen to show up on this earth for such a time as this Think about it, man. How many steps went up to Solomon's Temple 120? Think about it about 120. We're not the broom Why because there was 10 from each tribe 10 means man's responsibility 12 means divine government 12 and times 10 120 so it was 10 out of all 12 tribes, which represented everybody That's why the Holy Spirit couldn't fall in the book of Acts until the 12th apostle had been gotten and Acts chapter 1 Because divine government had to be set up when listen when the church is set up right the spirit of arrest in the church So change on the inside and you'll see change on the outside. Why because this is a law of God He said what's every man think about himself that's what he is see here's what we're looking Now don't don't get offended say I'm not gonna get offended. I Just want to get to heaven and get me a mansion a little cabin in the back I don't want to be in the back of nothing

Amen I want to drive the vehicle on the way up there if we're going up Think about it a minute people's just wanting to go to heaven I just I just want to see God's face. You can see it every day Go me to Romans 8 and 6 now watch this. This is gonna help you you need to Roman read Romans 6 7 and 8 Martin Lord Jones wrote a commentary on all Every chapter in the book of Romans you need to listen this guy now you got to keep yourself awake when he talks Cuz he talks like this and that's cool because he's full of revelation but he made this statement he said when everybody when anybody can understand the eighth chapter of Romans they won't remain on earth anymore this is amazing he wrote a commentary for every book except Romans chapter 8 six months after he finished Romans chapter 8 he left the earth why he got a revelation see guys it ain't a place we're going to it's what we turn into I don't want to shake you up and tear you up and say you're not gonna see your loved ones again but instead of you going up to meet them he's gonna bring on with him to meet you and that's not what you're gonna be looking for Paul said I've fought a good fight and I finished the course and then Paul made a statement about 13 years prior to that he said Lord I'm between two hard place where to stay or where to go but I'm gonna stay because of them Romans 8 and 6 for to be carnally minded is going to bring you death but I thought the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from a law of sin and death Romans chapter 6 verse 23 said the wages of sin is death so many if you don't have any sin we don't have any wages right and he said he's made us free from the law of sin and death right so if I'm free from the law of sin and death and that word sin there in that text is not a verb now think about it just a minute a verb shows actions that means smoking drinking doing drugs he said I've delivered you from the law and from what a sin nature and I've given you a divine nature and given you everything that pertains to life and godliness in Christ Jesus so you're absolutely perfected but you don't see it because you're looking at the wrong person you look in the

mirror you need to look in the mirror tell yourself who you are instead of looking in the mirror and asking who you are so look what he said but to be spiritually minded is gonna bring us life and it's gonna bring us peace what in the world is the world need they need peace think about it spiritually minded people are gonna live in life and they're gonna live in peace couldn't use a little bit of peace Bible says in John chapter 14 verse 1 let not your heart be troubled believe in me believes also in him and sent me bring my father's house a mini-mansion where I saw what I told you gonna prepare a place a pair of places will come again and receive in himself that where I am you may be also right I think about it just a minute he's gonna go prepare a place that word is topaz in the actual Greek it means specific position of opportunities he ain't creating this always shook me up because I thought if God fixed the whole earth in six days and then he's still working on heaven how big is that place didn't make any sense did it he fixed the place by the death barrel of the resurrection everybody talks about that scripture at our funeral and ain't got nothing to do with the funeral it's like Psalms 23 22 is about the resurrection 23 is about crucifixion right I mean the piece that you and I ought to walk in now not when we get to heaven guys if heaven's the place we're going to wonder what we're doing here I believe that Jesus brought heaven down to earth and now he established his kingdom on the earth and that's what the Spirit of Christ is in us the Bible says in Luke 17 21 low here low there for the kingdom of God's on the inside of us look at somebody say I'm the kingdom walking around and so it's not about a democracy that's why Revelation 1 and 6 says we're kings and priests Revelation 5 and 10 says we're kings and priests on the earth we're on the earth not we get to heaven on the earth Jesus said for God so loved the world cosmos that he gave his life to him believing him should not perish but have everlasting life what did he come to do he died for the world he didn't die for the church he died for the world listen the Bible says in Psalms 24 and 1 that the earth is the Lord and the fullness of the Lucifer has never been in authority of the earth he's only been in authority of

the cosmos that's why 2nd Corinthians 4 and 4 said the God of this world have blinded the minds of them that believe not here's where he wants to come against you he wants to take your mind out he wants to destroy your mind he don't want you to think right he wants you to be messed up in your thinking James said a double minded man is unstable in all his ways don't let him think he's gonna receive anything from God why because we got to have our mind set Romans to ever to be you not conform this world but you transform by the renewing of your mind you got to change the way you're thinking renewing of the mind means you had a perfect one at some time you that's why the Bible said in 1st Corinthians 2 and 16 mean you got the mind of Christ man right here's our battle we got to discover who we are we got to get up in the morning and speak to ourself and say you know what I'm not walking that death mentality I'm not walking that sin mentality I'm not spending all my day anymore confessing what I've done wrong Jesus took it and he took all my sins if you think spiritually minded your thoughts will produce life and see your thoughts are gonna produce them your thoughts are producing what you get think about it I mean your thoughts gonna produce them what you want Joshua 1 and 8 say meditate upon these words day and night do not let a perfect lips keep them in the heart and then what happens then you will make your way prosperous and you will have good success it's in you guys you've got to bring what's on the inside of you out of you, and that's what you've got to live out of. You can't live out of your pain. You've got to live out of recreation. You've got to live out of the life that's been put inside of us. You can't live in your past. See, you're never going to have your future if you live in your past all the time. You're never going to have it. Look at somebody and say, I'm going to have mine. Listen to me. Now listen to me a minute. Peace is not the absence of problems or challenging circumstances around you. It lives on the inside. Now think about it just a minute. That doesn't mean you're not going to have issues.

That don't mean you're not going to have circumstances. That means you just know how they're going to turn out. If you know how they're going to turn out, if you live from the inside out, whatever the inside says is how they're going to turn out. And listen to me. Here's what bothers me. Everybody wants to go to heaven, but not today. I don't get it. If you want to go, go ahead and get on out of here. But nobody wants to go today because you have a little bit of ailment. Oh Lord Jesus, am I going? Am I going? Think about it a minute. I don't believe that's the way life is supposed to be, guys. I believe when you get ready to exit stage left, there's going to be a grace for that. God spoke to me one time I'll never forget. He said, Pete, He said, when I get ready for you, buddy, there's going to be a peace right there for you. When you've got fear of it happening, that's because you ain't got my peace in the middle of it happening. If you want to have peace externally, which is probably never going to happen, you've got to have peace internally first. And what's on the inside of you will transform everything externally outside of you. Then that peace on the inside of you will begin to change your circumstances on the outside of you. So you're trying to see peace out here. Until you get peace in here, you're never going to have peace out here. That's why everybody's looking for Jesus. He ain't lost. You ain't got to look for Him. He's right inside you right now. He's that light that's inside of you. He's that light that's inside of you before the foundation of the world. Turn to somebody and say, I'm living from within. But for us to be free, we've got to change the encounter of who we are on the inside so we can manifest who we are externally. And that's the Holy Spirit's job. Are you with me? Now, I want you to go into the Scripture. Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth? So we understand that it's God's desire for everybody to be saved.

So He did that part. And to come to the knowledge of the truth. Think about it a minute. You may have a level of truth, enough to keep you out of what you think hell. But do you have enough truth to walk in victory in every area of your life? Let me say this to you. I'm going to give you some life experiences here. Right before I went through my ordeal and my sickness, I kept hearing the Lord say, Pete, you're not smelling the roses. You're not smelling the roses. You're not smelling the roses. And what come to my mind was Peter. Because I couldn't understand Peter. I thought, man, Peter, he was with the Lord an hour and a half later. And then he's walking across the water. He don't know who the same dude is. He hasn't the same britches. He hasn't the same hair. He hasn't cut a haircut since then. So one hour and a half earlier, he was with Jesus on the shore. He saw what he looked like. And yet he's walking across the water and he don't recognize it. See, it's hard for you to see Jesus in your problems. Because you've got an idea of what he looks like and you've created that out of him. But when he comes out doing something else that you're not normally used to, you don't know him that way. See, they knew Jesus as a healer. They knew Jesus could deliver. They knew Jesus as a man that fed the multitudes, but they didn't know him as a man that walked on water. And so he's walking on the water right across. He was dressed the very same way he was when he left the shore. And he gave them a word before, but they didn't hear it.

See, God never allows you to go through anything. He already prepared you before you ever got there. He told them, he said, I'll see you boys on the other side. They got in the middle of the sea and they got tore up because they forgot he said, we're going to see you on the other side. That meant you're going to the other side. He's told you by my stripes you're healed, but you're not sure. He's told you that good things are going to come to those who love the Lord, who are called to put on His face, but you're not sure. Why? Because you don't know him that way. And so here's Peter. Now, watch this. So Peter said, Lord, if that's you bidding me to come, what's Jesus going to say? No, it ain't me. I mean, think about it, that's a kind of crazy question. And then I've heard preachers preach a message on, well, the other 11 didn't get out. They had good sins. He won't teach them that lesson that day. So Peter gets out on the water and said, Lord, now you know you can't walk on water. but you can walk on a word. Mary got pregnant with one word. You were born again with one word. You are that one word that gets other people born again. Because the Bible said the Son of Man has the power to forgive sins. Read the Bible. So here's Peter walking on the water. He's looking at Jesus and Jesus is walking toward him. Now I bet right now he's reckoning, that's the same dress he had on. And the same shoes. His hair looks the same and his beard looks the same. But then he began to look at the storm. Now think about it a minute. If you've ever been a lifeguard and somebody's drowning, how hard is it to get them out of that water? They fight with everything. They put you underwater if you ain't careful. You just need to knock them out and then drag them. Think about it a minute. But Jesus reached down and he said he was about to sink. I don't know anybody that jumps in water that don't go whoop. So was it a slower process? No. He reached down and grabbed

his hand. And now he had enough faith, Jesus did, to let him walk on the water beside him. And y'all knocking Peter, y'all ain't never took one step on water. Peter may have missed the boat a little bit, but he walked on water for a few steps. And then he got him back to the boat and he said, be calm. Now think about it a minute. Peter that day saw Jesus in a different light. See, I'm going to make a comment. You ready? When you pray, Lord, I want to know you. He's seeing in every dimension. You say, yeah. See, you don't find out a God of money until you need money. You don't find out God's a healer until you need healing. See, it's easy for me to pray for this brother right here and say, I'm believing God to heal you. But when my body's in pain and I'm going through things in my life financially or other ways, then it's when he becomes real. Or when God speaks and says, you know what, every dime you got, give it away. Oh, Lord, wait a minute. I got this planned. I got a different plan. I want you to know me a different way. So Peter now knew him as the one that walked on the water. Now, when it come time, Peter had been through more lessons than everybody else. Because Peter denied him. Peter cussed him. Peter whacked off the guy's ear. How many of you ever heard of the guy who whacked off his ear? That's the same one that pierced the side of the cross. And he said, this must be the Messiah. Why? He gave him a different listening ear. He didn't give him the same ear he cut off. Read the Bible. It's prophetic, man. What did David pray? Lord, give me a listening ear. It's prophetically with the Roman soldier. He whacked off his ear. He didn't reach down and grab that ear and put it back. He put it and gave him a new ear, a hearing ear. Matter of fact, his name even meant hearing revelation. Think about it today, guys. We're talking about this Jesus that died and resurrected and placed his Spirit on the inside of us. And now we've got troubles. All he wants you to do is know him. So he said, to come to the knowledge of the truth. So you have a level of truth. But he said, I am the truth. See, you may go to the doctor and he may diagnose you with something, but that's not truth. That may be a fact, but it's not truth. Because John 17, 17 says, the Word of God is truth. So the only thing that's truth is the Word. Think about it. Now, I want you to understand this word knowledge here because it's powerful. It means exact and full. In other words, to have the knowledge of a truth means you got the exact knowledge. You got the exact, the full truth. You may have the truth about something, but you may not have the full truth. Are you with me?

Now go me to John 17 and 3. Now think about this. I want you to listen to this scripture because it's powerful. And this is eternal life. What's eternal life? What? That they may know you. That's eternal life. It don't say nothing about traveling to heaven. It don't say nothing about going to paradise. It says, but, and this is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you've sent. He said, here's what the eternal truth is to know me. Guys, come on now. We got, we got to get a different mindset about this man named Jesus. He was the real deal. He was not here just to travel you to heaven. He said, I want you to know me. I want you to know me. I want you to know me. We do the very opposite. We want to keep you at a distance so you don't get to know me because if you get to know me, you ain't going to like me. Think about it, that's what we're afraid of. But Jesus said, I want you to get to know me. Look what Paul said. I like what Paul said. Philippians 3.10, one of my favorite. I like it in the Amplified. It says, I'm progressively determined to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of suffering, conformable even unto death. Now, Paul had been in the ministry 25 years when he said, I want to know him. He said, eternal life is that you know you, that they know you. See, all eternal life is for you to know him. How about having somebody that would put their spirit in you so he would teach you all things and bring all things, your remembrance, that he's sent unto you.

And then 1 Corinthians 2, I believe it's about 10, 11, 12, somewhere in there, it says this, that you may know that things have been freely given to you. See, that's what the Holy Spirit's for. It's not to correct you or to condemn you or to tear you down. It's to tell you how righteous you are. It's to reveal the Father to you. John said, Jesus, come to reveal the Father. To declare and to reveal the Father. See, he just wants you to know him. That's what the Holy Spirit's for. Stop waiting for the, oh, the Holy Spirit. I get so tired of people writing me letters saying the Holy Spirit wore me out last night. He can't wear you out if you're born again. All he's gonna tell you is how righteous you are. Read the Bible. Turn to somebody and say, he loves me. Look at Jeremiah 29, Jeremiah 9. Thus saith the Lord, let not the wise men glory in his wisdom. Let him not the mighty men glory in his might. Let the rich man glory in his riches, 24. But let him who glories glory in this, that he understand and knows me. That I am the Lord, exercising love and kindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, says the Lord. He says, let him glory in understanding and knowing me.

Guys, come on. Listen to me. We've got to change our minds about heaven. We've got to change our mind about, we have entered into eternal life. That means life, life, life. Now listen to me. Anything that's eternal does not have a beginning or an end. Now think about that. There's no beginning or no end. Why? Because there's no time in eternity. Everything that's temporal is gonna fade away, but everything that's eternal will stand. Because the things that are invisible are the only things that's eternal. The things you can see are temporary or they're subject to change. Now think about it. He said, don't glory in your riches, don't glory in your wisdom, but glory in that you know me and understand me. Do we understand and know internally or are we looking externally? I want you to understand something. The word makes it very clear that your experience, your surroundings, everything about you is basically a result of the way you think. How many of you know that everything about you is the way you think?
