For as he thinks in his heart, so  is  he. “Eat and drink!”  he says to you, But his heart is not with you. (Proverbs 23:7 NKJV)

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2 NKJV)

Change on the inside, then you will see change on the outside. This is the law of God.

For  to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6 NKJV)

If you think Spiritually minded, your thoughts will produce life and peace. Peace in your life isn't the absence of problems or challenging circumstances around you. It lives on the inside.  Then that peace on the inside of you will begin to change your circumstances on the outside.

Who desires all men to be saved  and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (I Timothy 2:4 NKJV)

Knowledge means "exact or full knowledge."

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ  whom You have sent. (John 17:3 NKJV)

Thus says the  Lord : “Let not the wise  man  glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty  man  glory in his  might, Nor let the rich  man  glory in his riches; But  let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I  am  the  Lord , exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the  Lord . (Jeremiah 9:23, 24 NKJV)

Do we understand and know internally, or are we looking externally? The Word makes it very clear that your experience, your surroundings, everything about you is basically a result of the way that you think.

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap  everlasting life. (Galatians 6:8 NKJV)

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His  divine power has given to us all things that  pertain  to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him  who called us by glory and virtue, (II Peter 1:2, 3 NKJV)

2 Peter further substantiates the principle that your thought life produces a harvest in the natural realm.

God's kind of peace is there even during a storm. It lives on the inside.

Everything that pertains to life and godliness comes through the knowledge of God. The dominant experience of your life is a reflection of the way you are thinking on the inside.  Don't look for a change to take place externally in everybody and everything else around you, the first thing you need to do is recognize that change begins on the inside of you.  This occurs according to the knowledge that you have of God.

The born-again Christian already has the peace of God in their spirit. As you renew your mind to who you are and what you have in Christ, you draw that peace out into your experience.

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV)

Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble. (Psalms 119:165 NKJV)

My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And  peace they will add to you. (Proverbs 3:1, 2 NKJV)

If you want change in your life, then you are going to have to do something different in your soul.
