Harvest TIME From BARLEY to BREAD | Pastor Terrence Mullings

Some of you had some mental health that was taken by feeling you've been swarmed and that mental illness is going to turn into mental health. That's what God is declaring for you. He's going to restore, He's going to redeem it all. Swarming locus means you have been overwhelmed. So you gave up and you bowed down to the pressure, but God says bowing down to pressure in the natural looks like you're bowing down to the enemy, but when you bow and Jesus is your Lord of lords and King of kings, God says He will exalt those who humble themselves under the mighty hand of God. Well, it is the third Sunday of the year and it is week two of a series that we kicked off last week called Harvest Time. Someone shout Harvest Time. This is not time to hold back. This is not time to hibernate. This is Harvest Time. It is time for the harvest, that God has a harvest of righteousness, of riches, of relationship for you. And our foundational scripture is this, Psalm 23, setting up the whole series that says this, Psalm 23. The Lord is, shout it out, my shepherd. As a result, if we make the Lord our shepherd, the Bible says, I shall not want. That means God has provision for me and my family. He wants to bless me so I can be a blessing. It's a harvest of riches. I love one of the verses that goes on to say that you, God, as my shepherd, prepare a table before me in the presence of my... Can I tell you, if the wrong people come to take a seat at your table, we serve a God that doesn't just prepare a table, but we serve a God that can turn the tables in your favor when wrong people come and try and steal the harvest that God has planned and prepared for you. He says, you anoint my head with oil so that my cup... You know, when the Lord is your shepherd,

when we 20-20 fix our eyes on Jesus, is the cup half empty? What about, is the cup half full? Yeah, well, actually neither. The cup is overflowing in Jesus' name. That's what the word says right here. Clap your hands if you believe that, that God is a God who doesn't just do halfway. He doesn't just fill it to the top, but he's about to take you into the overflow. Someone say overflow. There really is an overflow anointing on this house. And I've just seen too many times that people come here. It's the story of Emma and I that we come here with little. When we hand it to the Lord, he takes our little and he turns it into a lot. And I'm not just talking about finances, but I am focused on finances today. You might just have five barley loaves and two little fish. If you take the little that you have, young boy, and you hand it to the Lord, and you hand it to the Lord, he can take your little and he can turn it into a lot. So, so much. I mean, that five barley loaves to feed the 5,000 is a thousand times anointing. So you can stick with double. You can stick with a hundred times. But the Lord has a thousand time harvest that is available for us. And I'm believing that for the people

of History Makers Church. And so as we journey into 2020 fix, it is time for the harvest. Do not hold back. Do not hibernate. Press in because you got to pick up your plow shares. Plow shares is where you start to dig into the ground. Pruning hooks is where you start to take off the ripe fruit and harvest that God has for you. Harvest season means that we're moving from one season into another. Harvest time that means that God's moving you from a place of not enough to a place that is more than enough. Can I encourage you as God moves you from not enough to more than enough, please do not stop in just enough. Because not enough is called slavery. Just, just enough. I got just enough for me and my family. That's called the wilderness. But who knows there's a place where it's harvest time. It's called a place of more than enough. More than enough is where God wants to take you and your family and your faith and your finances. Let me give you a second scripture to set this up this morning. In Joel chapter two, I wanna set this up by telling you this scripture is,

it's a talk of the Lord's promise of restorations. I'm gonna say restoration. It's to a people who were not experienced what we're declaring here. They weren't experiencing harvest. They were experiencing hardness. Their life fell on very hard times. To set up the scene, the locust had come into what should have been their harvest and the locust had reduced their harvest. In fact, other people had come, the Egyptians and the Amalekites and the Vegemites and the Mozibites. And, you know, I mean, everything has just come literally and like not just reduced their harvest, but ripped off their harvest. And so here's what they've experienced. They've been beaten. they're being crushed, they're being stepped over. Anyone ever felt like that in an area of your life? I mean, I worked so hard. Why did someone else get the promotion? I mean, I loved you, I cared for you. How could you leave me in that moment? You know, why did that person end up going to heaven? God, I was serving you faithfully. Why would you take that loved one from my life? Why am I not experiencing the harvest in the sickness that I'm seeing in my life?

God is speaking to a people who understand just like you and I, what it means to fall on hard times. And so he's speaking to them and he gives them this promise of restoration. Someone say restoration. So let's pick it up now in Joel chapter two and let's start at verse 18. So rich, this scripture. I hope it speaks to you like it spoke to me. It says, then the Lord will pity his people because you are his people and jealously guard the honor of his land. You know, Psalm 100 is the verse that my parents told me and it says that we are his people. We are the sheep of his pasture. You need to know that your body, that your mind, that your family, it's God's land. It's God's land. And when God steps on a ground, it might've been a disgusting ground, it might've been broken ground, but when God steps on the ground, it becomes holy ground in Jesus' name. And God is saying to his people, verse 19, the Lord will reply, look, I am sending you grain. That's sustenance. I'm sending you new wine. That's satisfaction. And I'm sending you olive oil. Enough to satisfy your what?

Let's bold that for next service. Satisfy your needs. Because God's saying, I didn't just come to satisfy you a little bit. It's everything that you need. Financially, emotionally, relationally. It's not just your wants, but it's the things that you need. Not just enough, but more than enough. You will no longer be an object of mockery for the surrounding nations. Next verse says this, verse 21. Do not be afraid, O land. Be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done what? Great things. I remember growing up, Miami Gospel Chapel, about seven years old. I think they used to sing this song down. Where was that church? 73rd Street. What's it called, the city? Liberty, hey, I'm gangster like that. Liberty City. But, but, don't play with me, people. We grew up in Liberty City. If you want to know what hard times are, move to Liberty City. And there's this thing, this song they used to sing. Come on, help me. For he has done great things.

Hallelujah. You know the song? He has done great things. Hallelujah. Sing, he. Come on, white people. Come on. Bless his holy. One more time. He has done for he. Don't, don't, don't hit me with those drums. He has. Oh, he has done great. You feel it, don't you? There is something that when God gives you a promise, clap your hands. If you know there's something that happens when we start to believe that the Lord, not just will, but he has done great things. Verse 22 says, don't be afraid, you animals in the field. We're workers for the Lord. We're the sheep of his pasture. For the wilderness pastures will soon be green. Can I say prophetically over your life that the wilderness pastures will soon be green? The thing that you're believing for, it's dry, but it'll soon be green. The children you're believing to come back to the Lord, the children you're believing for, the healing that you're believing for,

the restoration of the love in your family, in your relationship, the answer to prayer, it will soon be green. What a promise. Oh, the trees will again be filled with fruit. You know, we got a mango tree in our backyard. It's a bit stringy. Don't really love it. This last harvest that we got was not much of a harvest because I don't know what it was, but the fruit kept on dropping. Before it's season, it just kept on dropping. And the little squirrels would come and it would drop them, but they'll naturally dropped. And I think we lost probably out of 100% harvest, probably a good 80% that dropped. Hey, Jay, we went outside and we're like, why is this? But God's saying the trees will again be filled with fruit. Fig trees and grape vines will be loaded down with more. Loaded down, that's powerful. Let's go to verse 23. Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem. Rejoice in the Lord, your God. For the rain he sends will demonstrate his faithfulness. The rain he sends will demonstrate his faithfulness. What proves his faithfulness? The rain he sends. The rain that God sends, the rains are coming. You know, when we got married, it rained on that day. It rained on that day because God says when I send the rain.

I'm sending a promise of my faithfulness. I wish I could rip this roof open. I wish God would make it rain right now. Like seriously, so you would understand that when you see the rain, you've got to remember God says the rain. Because we live in a technological age, we don't understand that harvest requires rain. Like the food that we eat at Publix and Trade that we get from Trader Joe's only happens because God has sent the rain. And God is sending the rain prophetically. Once more, the autumn rains, let's put the scripture back up. Once more, the autumn rains will come as well as the rain of spring. You know, the Bible talks about not one rain, but two rains. There's a former rain and a latter rain. My question is, do you know why God has to send two rains? We'll find out today. Verse 24 says, the threshing floors, that's what this is right here, will again be piled high with grain. There's gonna be an abundance and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil. The Lord says, someone say there is gonna be grain, there's gonna be grape, and there's gonna be oil. The grain, the grape, the oil. I was gonna title the message,

the grain, the grape, and the oil, but I got something else God showed me on Saturday morning at 5 a.m., praise Jesus. Verse 25 says, I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts. Some of you had some mental health that was taken by feeling you've been swarmed and that mental illness is gonna turn into mental health. That's what God is declaring for you. He's gonna restore, He's gonna redeem it all. Swarming locust means you have been overwhelmed. So you gave up and you bowed down to the pressure, but God says, bowing down to pressure in the natural looks like you're bowing down to the enemy, but when you bow and Jesus is your Lord of lords and King of kings, God says, He will exalt those who humble themselves under the mighty hand of God. There's a relationship that God's gonna restore because the rains are coming. The rains are coming. The hopping locust, you missed it. It hopped over you, the blessing, but God says He's gonna bring it back because the rains are coming. The stripping locust, they took it, but the Bible says that my God says that anyone who's caught stealing must repay not one, two, three, four, five, six, but seven times because the rains are coming.

There's been some cutting locusts who have come, they've cut, you've been bleeding, you've been hurting, but God says the healing is coming. And can I tell you the scar tissue is stronger than the original skin. God, it was I, He says, who sent the great destroying army against you. Hang on Lord, this was good. You're gonna redeem, you're gonna restore, but you're telling me you sent this great destroying army against us, your people? What type of God does that? You're meant to be a loving God. He is a loving God, He's full of love and He's full of grace, but He's also full of truth. And here's the truth, you can't handle the truth. Let me give you the truth. The truth is He's full of love, He's full of grace, but He's full of truth. And here's the truth, God hates sin. His anger and His wrath, He is red hot against sin. And can I tell you, God knows that sin must be punished because if He doesn't punish sin, it will get back into heaven and He will destroy everything in the new heavens and the new earth. But I came with some good news today, even though our God hates sin, His hatred, His anger has been satisfied on Jesus Christ, who took our place on the cross.

He took my shame, He took my sin, He took my shortcomings and now I can be with the Father again. Come on, I'm sure there's some people who better praise louder because if people understood what sin you did last night or last week, you'd be more grateful for the fact that we serve a God who has taken my sin away and moving it as far as the East is from the West. Can you clap your hands on that point, if you're grateful that we serve a God. The branch of heaven was snapped off the tree of life. He was put into the ground, He rose again, He was crushed, He was stripped, He was bruised, He was broken, He took our place. That's called a substitutory atonement. What should have come to me goes to Him, but what should go to Him now comes to me because I'm in Christ and now He is in me. What a God, what a God. That's why we sing songs like that because you understand how great and awesome our God is. Verse 26 says this, Once again, once again, some of you lost it, but God's saying once again, you will have all the food you want, all the provision, not just sustenance, but abundance. And you will praise the Lord, oh my. Yeah, praise my soul.

Praise the Lord who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be destroyed. Disgraced. Verse 27, then you will know that I am among my people, Israel, and I am the Lord your God, the Lord of the harvest, and there is no other like me. There is no other name. There is no other name that gets all the glory. That's why we sing it. Amen, if you understand these truths, it transforms. Never again will my people be disgraced. Verse 28, then there's more. After doing all those things, I'm gonna pour out my spirit on all people. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Come on, all the old men, you're gonna start to dream some dreams again, and your young men will see visions. God says, I'm gonna give you bread. I'm gonna give you wine. I'm gonna pour out fresh oil. And it's kind of interesting if you think about it, because God's speaking to a people who are in need of provision. If you read the scripture in our modern day vernacular, it would be kind of like God says, I'm gonna give you bread. So I'm gonna take you down to Publix or Trader Joe's. I don't know where you shop.

Trader Joe's, what's the really expensive one? Whole Foods, I'm taking you down to Whole Foods. Get whatever you want. Then I'm gonna take you not just bread, but wine. I'm gonna take you to your favorite steakhouse. Where's that? That one. I'm gonna take you to your favorite steakhouse. Everything, it's on me, God says. And then I'm gonna give you an anointing oil that proves that you've been chosen. So God's giving food, food, food. And then he says, oh, and then after the food, power. Power to prophesy. And so most of us have grown up in church. You all know that part of the verse, don't you? Come on, in the last days, I'm gonna pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and daughters, we know that. But how come none of us know all the stuff before? Our God is very skilled in hiding things in plain sight. And there's been so much blessing that you and I have missed because we haven't known how to look and where to look. Today, God's opening eyes so you can see not enough, not just enough, but more than enough. Your harvest has been hiding in plain sight. So I wanna speak to you this morning. And I am speaking to you, but I gotta give you a title. It's not the grain, the grape, and the oil.

It's not the grain, the grape. That's what I wanted to preach out of. But here's what God says. The rain, the grain, and the bread. The rain, the grain, and the bread. Are you ready? Here we go. Number one, write this down, number one. Now, here's what's really important. If you don't understand how God does this thing, the rain, the grain, and then the bread, it's important, it's sequential. The rain comes on the grain and the grain becomes something productive. See, this is pretty, but I don't wanna just be pretty. I wanna be powerful. I don't just wanna be decorative. I want to be productive. I don't wanna be decoration. I want something that gives satiation, that satisfies my needs. You see what I'm saying here? And so we gotta understand there's a process. If you don't understand the process in which God brings the rain on the grain to make bread, then you will miss the fact that he's the bread of heaven and he has something to satisfy and sustain you. Ready? And some of you have been missing it, but it's been hidden in plain sight.

Here we go. As fast as we can. Oh no, we've got time. We're doing good, Terrence. Okay. Okay, Lord. Thanks, Mia. Someone's going to heaven. Amen. Don't know about the rest of you didn't clap on that point that I'm doing good. Come on, give your pastor some encouragement. I need it. All right, here we go. Number one, number one, the rain, the rain, the rain. Joel 2 said, "'Be glad, then, you children of History Maker's church, "'and rejoice in the Lord your God, "'for He has given you the,' shouted out, "'the former rain faithfully.' "'And He will cause the rain to come down on you, "'the former rain, and the, "'the latter rain in the first month.'" In the first month. So God is changing times and seasons, and I need you to understand this truth, that this former rain and latter rain is both symbolic, and it's literal. It's literal. Here's the literal thing, former rain.

Let's put up those two things on the screen, former rain and latter rain. And here you've got to take some notes in this moment, because God dropped it too quickly. I couldn't get it to the screens. Former rain is this. The Hebrew is yoreh, yoreh. It's when the rain came literally in October to November, in the old season, October to November. And here's what the former rain does. Ready, watch this. The former rain softens the ground. The latter rain strengthens the seed to bring it to maturity. Some of you have some ground that is so hard, you don't know how you're gonna break through that relationships, you don't know how you're gonna break into History Makers, you feel this is hard ground. But God is sending a former rain that prepares the ground, but he also has to send a latter rain to water the seed. you have planted. Some of you have planted some seeds, you're like, well, it's good for you, Anthony. What about my harvest? God says he sent the former rain because you're here, but now come the latter rain. So the former rain in the Hebrew is yoreh, it softens the ground, because there's hard ground after summer,

making it ready for plowing and sowing, because without it, the seed cannot be planted properly. You got any of this on the screen, guys? This is gonna help. Latter rain, Hebrew, is malkosh, malkosh. Fast forward, it might be there later. Malkosh, this didn't fall in October, November. Literally, this fell in March and April. The year kind of like our, is it not fiscal year, but what's it called when it's June, July? Whatever that year is where it's not the calendar year. Fiscal year, I think it's called, in business terms. This one strengthens, and this one ripens the grain and brings a crop to full maturity just before the harvest. You need the latter rain just before the harvest. God has promised both. We'll see this in Deuteronomy in just a second, but for those taking notes and for those who wanna go to heaven, the former rain is the initiation. It's the awakening. I love that Pastor Emma called the conference the awakening because the former rain is the awakening. This is repentance. This is what happens every single year where God is preparing the soil. This is the pouring out of his spirit on the day of Pentecost, former rain, and then the latter rain's gonna come when Jesus is about to appear again

because he doesn't just wanna start the seed, he wants to sustain and strengthen it. So the latter rain is the completion where God is about to bring maturity. And can I tell you, in this season, we're entering into a latter rain season as a church. It's a latter rain season where God's gonna finally strengthen and ripen and empower us before the harvest time. This is where you come in to write these words down, fullness, overflow, strengthen, and he will ripen. If the former rain is the teacher, the latter rain is the professor. This is where you get your master's. This is where you get your PhD. The first rain is where God got you saved, but the latter rain is where God is about to get you sent. You've been saved, but then he's gotta help you find your shape, but there's a point where he has to send you to do what he's called you to do, what he has done in you, he now does through you. Now, History Makers Church has been planted former rain. Someone say planted, but now History Makers Church is about to prosper. Latter rain, there is a prosperity coming upon us. God is looking for latter rain. Write these thoughts down. God is looking for maturity, not immaturity, maturity. God is not looking for, so it's maturity, not immaturity.

God is looking for, hey, great to see you back. Young lady, good to see you. Spirit of God's upon you. God is looking for happiness and true joy that's not just based on happenings, but happiness based on him. God is looking for power. This is powerful. This is potential. You ever grown up with some people who the teacher told and other people told, they got so much potential. Oh man, you could become an astronaut. You could become a doctor. You could become a lawyer. You could become, you could be just what you have potential, but God is moving us from former rains, which releases potential to latter rains where the potential reaches its full potential and there's power, there's purpose. This is what God wants to do this. And this only happens when we understand our foundational scripture for our church, where we get his story, his story makers church is this, that Hebrews 12, two says, fixing our eyes on Jesus, who is both the author and the finisher. So the former rains is where he initiates a thing. I'm going somewhere. You got to understand the power of the rain. The former rain is where he starts a thing. He's the author and the finisher.

So former rain, he starts it, latter rain, he finishes. Yeah, you're getting it. So I once heard that our preaching has to be deep enough that an adult can dive in, but at the same time, it's got to be shallow enough that a new baby won't drown. So former rains is to help you as a new baby get in, but the latter rain is gonna increase so we can dive in deeper. So over the last four years, here's what God's been doing prophetically of our church. He started initially as number one, it's 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025. He got us holy, healthy, happy. We experienced some heaven on earth, but now he's getting us holier, 2026, healthier, happier, and more heaven to earth, but he's gonna do it through us, amen. And he's doing it with alignment. Deuteronomy 11 says this, if you carefully obey the commandments I'm giving you today, and if you love the Lord your God and serve him with some of your heart, some of, oh, did I get it wrong? Serve him with what? All your heart and soul. So if you look carefully, you'll see this. Three ifs, if you, write these three things down, if you carefully obey, if you love and if you serve, okay? Let's go back to the scripture now,

go back to the scripture and keep it on there for a second. So if you will first obey, you know, the Bible says, if you love me, you will obey me and keep my commandments. You know, trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey. Love, you know, God went up to Peter, one of his disciples, he said, on you, Petros, the rock, on the revelation, I'm gonna build my church. And he says, Peter, do you love me? And Peter said, yes, what? Yes, and God said, if you love me, do these three things. Feed my lambs, tend to my sheep, and now say it now, feed my sheep. So we've got to feed the lambs, the little ones, former rain, we've got to tend to the sheep, but then we've got to feed the sheep so they become mature, so they can go on reproduce more sheep, little lambs. You see what God's showing us here? And he's saying, if you will obey, if you will love, but also if you will serve who? You know, we're about to step into three services and this is a clarion call for you. You've been sitting here too long drinking mama's nipple. You got to grow up. I got to grow up because God is bringing the harvest and the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. This is time to get off the seat and get in the game because if you love me, you will keep my commandments.

I need you to, if you, God says, put it back to scripture, if you obey, if you love me, if you serve me. Now, three things, sheep, lamb, sheep, three services with everything, heart, soul, time, talent, treasure. We're stepping into three services, 9-11-1. God has more in you. God has more for you, but you're going to have to step into the game. And if you do, verse 13 here, if you carefully obey, shout it out, love and serve. Obey, love and serve. Here's what God says he will do. It's a if you, then I, then he says verse 14. Then, someone say then. Then he will send the rains in their proper season, the early and the late rain. So you can bring in your harvest of grain. Someone shout sustenance. And new wine, someone shout satisfaction. Come on, and your olive oil, that's called saturation. That God wants to saturate this thing because he fills my cup, not a half empty, not half full, but overflowing. He wants to saturate this thing. Verse 15 says, he will give you a lush pasture land for your livestock. And you yourself will have all that you want to eat. I love that God is not just satisfying all that I need, but now he's saying, I will satisfy everything you want.

There is a harvest of riches that God wants to satisfy, the wants and desires of my heart. But it's gonna require that in 2026, I 2020 fix my eyes on Jesus. But he says, here's a warning. Verse 16, be careful. Do not let your heart be deceived. So that you turn away from the Lord and serve other gods. When I've moved you from something that looks good, decorative to something that is good, productive. See, a lot of you got promotions, but it hasn't shown up in the house of the Lord. And the promotion is financial, but you've got children you don't bring to the house of the Lord. You've got the girlfriend, boyfriend online that you don't bring into the house of the Lord. God says, be careful. I'm gonna bless you with the grain, the grape and the oil. I'm going to satisfy the desires of your heart. I'm gonna sustain you. I'm gonna saturate you, but please don't forget me. Please don't. This is why we do 21 days of prayer and fasting because God removes the idols in these moments. Man, I think there was two nights I was just gonna do liquids and I failed for what I wanted to do. And I had a meal that day with the family. Not the baddest thing, God still loves me,

but it's amazing how you have these idols of flesh that God reveals. Little compromises, little compromises. And that's what God has been speaking to me. It's the little things, Terrence. It's the little foxes. Be careful, little foxes. And so he says, don't be turned away from the Lord and worship other gods. You know, last week in the harvest, I spoke about three. God is having a banquet, Jesus having a banquet. He says, I wanna invite you to my table for this banquet. And there's three things and three reasons why the people didn't come to the banquet. It was passions, that's sex, salary status, passions, position, and possession. I've bought a field, I'm a landowner. Position, I've bought some oxen. possessions, oh, I've married a wife, passions. Do not let those things become your God. This is what fasting does. It breaks off the flesh and it turns the amplifier up on the spiritual. If you haven't started, start now, keep fasting. Because fasting will disconnect you from the world and the prayer will connect you to God. This is what we're doing, amen? And so at the end of this service, I'm gonna, how do you know where your heart is?

Because where your treasure is, there your heart is. And God's trying to get to your heart. And so one of the things that what I love to do and when I fast is I love to give. You know, I always love to start each year giving the year to the Lord financially. And we're gonna give you an opportunity to do that today to give financially and it's a symbolic, watch this, free will offering. I'm calling it the Boaz offering. And you're gonna see why I'm calling it the Boaz offering. And verse 17 says, if you do, the Lord's anger will burn against you if you turn to other gods and he will shut up the sky and hold back the rain. Now, who knows this, how many rains? One will start it, the other one will finish it. One will start and sustain. So God's saying, if you do, I'm gonna have to hold back the rains and the ground will fail to produce its harvest, singular or plural. All right, watch this. Today, I'm just hitting this one thing. I gotta set up the grain, but you got the rain, the grain and the bread. Let's talk about the bread, the bread. God wants to move you from barley to bread. Barley looks good, bread is good. One's decoration, one's satisfaction.

You've seen that one starts, but one is the finished product. You've grown up with people who had potential, but if you don't understand the process of how we get from this to this, you'll never step into your promise. And so I wanna show you the process of how, this was fascinating studying this this week, how to go from this to this. Fascinating. Any bread makers in the room? I mean, I'm sitting in, I mean, this one right here. I know there's a big craze with sourdough. Come on, who are the sourdough makers in there? Okay, who makes bread? Maria. Maria. Maria. My daughter, Hosanna, has just started to enjoy making bread. In fact, every time we go on vacation, it's a thing now where she will make bread. We'll go to the grocery store, we'll get the ingredients, and she makes bread. Yesterday, I went to pick up this bread, which is great temptation, I must say, from this bakery there on Pines, and they said three ingredients. It's water, flour, and salt. That's all. That's all.

Simple. Three ingredients. So very pure, very good bread. I might take a bite after the service, should the Lord be willing. And so Hosanna has been making bread. I remember Emma put up a video of her making this bread, and it was like, it was a lake house, so she was dressed in swimmers, just came up, and I'm telling you, instead of looking at the bread, some men online were looking at my daughter. And although I'm Australian, I do now believe in guns. So I'm just putting it out there, and I'm a Christian, God will forgive me. We had to take that post down after 500,000 views and some very inappropriate comments. Some people are too thirsty and too hungry. And the bread, the bread, but the bread sustains. Just had to put that out there for whoever you were commenting. So the bread. Bread goes through stages, write this down, transitions from plant, a plant, into flour, which is beaten and tested on the threshing floor. The threshing floor. In fact, this threshing floor is where bread starts to be produced. In fact, the city Bethlehem is actually means house of bread. King David was born there, the type of Jesus.

In fact, Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It means Beit, house, Lehem, bread. It's significant because Jesus is the bread of life. And God wants to give in your life a bread this year as a harvest that sustains you. Here's the significance. Wheat is a primary food. So the wheat, the grain is both barley grain and wheat grain. They use two things to make bread in the Old Testament. It's symbolic, I believe, of the creativity of heaven, that our God could take this, grind it, break it, send the rain, add the water, add the salt. Jesus is the salt of the earth, and he can take nothing and create something. He can take little and make it a lot. He can take something that looks good in your life, and you might think this thing in my life, God could not use it, but I think the bread speaks of the creativity of our father in heaven, that he can take the ashes off your life. He can take the yeast off your life. He can take the salt of your life, and you don't enjoy those things on their own, but he can put it all together in such a way that it turns into pan, it turns into bread. into bread, and this is what our God does. Our Father is a creative God. In fact, the biblical times, the threshing floor, which is what this is, which was a ground,

can we show a picture of the threshing floor, which was a ground where they would take the wheat. So they would take the wheat, and they would start to crush the wheat, and they would put the wheat like this, this is actual wheat, and they'd put this wheat on the ground like this. The keys can come, and you could see they would have oxen there that would start to tread it out. You would have different people that would start to tread it out. Keys, you can come. And it would just be, they'd put the wheat there, and it would be a crushing, and there'd be a pressing of this wheat. And some of you are asking, God, why does it feel like in my life there's a crushing? Why am I being stepped on, God? Why are you allowing me to be pressed? Because God's pressing you, because unless a seed falls to the ground and breaks, there will never be a harvest. And you gotta understand in this harvest time, you are the harvest that God has been looking for. The divorce, God didn't cause it, God didn't mean it, but God's gonna use it to bring beauty from the ashes. God's gonna use the rejection, and he's gonna bring restoration from the rejection. Holy Spirit. Amen.

There is a separation, a purification, before you can get prepared. So he's gotta separate the wheat from this thing called the chaff. He's separating the wheat from the chaff. The chaff is the thing that you needed in the old season to protect you, but God's gotta get rid of it so he can use you. Oh. Amen. The wheat and the barley went through the same process. The barley ripened first, early season, but the wheat, the second season. The steps are very simple. It's physical, but it's deeply symbolic. There's a season of preparation. Here's a picture of what wheat looks like. God says that the wheat and the weeds are growing together, and you've got some weeds in your life, and you wonder why there's some weeds in your life. Why is God allowing this thing to stay in my life? Why won't he take it away? Because God said, if I pull the wheat and the weeds, if I pull the weeds too early, the root system's connected. I gotta let you get to full maturity. So there's some things that have been allowed here, 2022, 23, 24, but God has been allowing it to stay because when harvest time comes, the wheat, when it's ready, gets heavy, and it starts to bend.

And you know you're ready when you're willing to bend and worship. You know you're ready when in the circumstances, don't say I should, but here I am to worship, and here I am to bow down. You're altogether worthy. You're altogether. Oh, you're altogether wonderful, God. Can I tell you, see this wheat, you know it's ready because it's bowed down. The weeds, they're green in that picture. Don't judge a book by its cover. Ladies, I know he looks green, I know he's got the car, I know he's got the house, but he's mean. He's angry, he's judgmental. Don't judge a book by its cover, I'll teach you. And how can I teach you? Because that used to be me. Or yeah, it looks good on the outside, but there's still things God had to deal with before that 40-day fast. You see, it takes 21 days to make a new habit, but it takes 40 to break the old thing. That's why Moses had to be in the wilderness for 40 years. Oh man, I know she pretty. She got those manicured fingers and toes, pedicure toes. They painted nice, but don't be kissing those hands and sucking those toes. There's fungus under those toes. Don't play with me.

It looks good on the surface, but be very careful. Come back, come back to me. Jesus says, He doesn't just reap it yet. When wheat is ready, it will bow. Lamb, hit the floor. O Lamb of God, anointed one, who was and is and is. Who was to come, seated on the throne above. Holy, holy. Okay, hold that there. So the weeds stand up tall, they're full of pride. There's been some people, they look good, but they've been full of pride. Self-centered, self-righteous, uncorrectable, unteachable, weeds. But if you allow God, there is a transformation process that only happens through Jesus Christ. Do not judge a book by its cover. So God is taking some weeds out of our own lives. I got them too. So there's number one, there's gonna be a reaping. A reaping, when the grain is mature, it's gonna get cut with the sickles and it's gonna be bundled into sheaves. And we have the power to say it's reaping season. When you allow yourself to get on this threshing floor and you allow God to do His work in your life, He will prepare you. Number two, there's gonna be a gathering to the threshing floor.

The threshing floor is a place of exposure. It's a place of separation, but it's also your place of transformation. God is separating you from the world. In fact, the word holy means to be separate. And I wanna be separate from those things that are natural, I wanna be supernatural. I wanna be separate from what is normal, God has more. I don't wanna be common, I wanna be uncommon. I don't wanna be dirty, damaged goods, I wanna be healed in the master's use. In the presence of the sun, exposure, exposure, the sun is hot, but the son of God has gonna expose some things in your life and in my life, and He's doing it now, that He needs to get rid of if He's gonna build and bring you to barley from wheat into the harvest, barley to bread. Separation is what our church is, it's our vision statement. God wants to move us from sin to salvation, common to uncommon, earthly to bring in heaven to earth. Exposure, exposure. Number three, there's a threshing, a threshing. Threshing is where you loosen the grain from the stalk and the husk. And this was done by beating the thing, Ruth 2.17. It's having the oxen tread over that thing. You've been walked over, you've been pushed over, but God is gonna use it to prepare you. And here's what it looked like.

Some of you are feeling crushed right now, but allow the potter to mould you and make you into who He wants you to be. Wheat is not useful until it gets on the threshing floor. In fact, I don't wanna sing for three services, I don't wanna get up here and serve three times. God's got you on the threshing floor. I don't wanna give. God's got you on the threshing floor because if you don't sow, you will never reap. Who do you need to forgive? I don't wanna forgive them, you don't know what they did to me. God's got you on the threshing floor. He's breaking off some stuff off your life. The threshing floor, I was trying to get, once they broke all the stuff down and they crushed the wheat and the harp to get the seed from the husk, you know like a peanut has a shell, you can't eat it with the shell, you gotta get the shell off. So what they used to do is this. So they would bounce the thing up and down once it's separated so that when the wind blew and the winds are blowing, they would, the threshing floor, pick up that mat and throw it. And what was heavy would settle as the wind blew. Let me illustrate it better like this.

Jeremiah, run up here. So they would do this as a family. And so for illustrative purposes, let these rocks be the seed that God wants to get because he's gonna build his church on the rock. He is the chief cornerstone. But in there would be these things that surrounded the once wheat, which was called the chaff, the chaff, the chaff. And so they would get this. If they didn't have a winnowing fork, they would do this. So all the things, so what's left now is what God can use. What's left is what God can use. Some of you, thank you, Jeremiah. You see, you've got to learn to work as a family to do this thing together. That's why God has a need to have a harvest of relationship because you'll never harvest a relationship without a relationship. But it's a relationship. harvest your crop unless you learn to work with people. It's a family. It's a relationship. It's a family. There has to be agreement with God It's a family. It's a family. and alignment with people.

It's a family. And some of you have some chaff in your life, C-H-A-F-F. Man, I've got this for our staff, I've got this for our dream team, but I gotta tell you as a church, C-H-A-F, it's an acronym, C. You gotta let go of the chaff, you gotta let go of the control. Some of you are so darn controlling, God cannot take the wheel. You gotta let go of being so controlling, you gotta let go of the carnality, C, carnality, H, H, H. Some of you have got too many hurts. And so God on the threshing floor, he's trying to release the hurt, he's trying to take off the hardships. There's been some hurts in your life, but allow God to do it on the threshing floor. He's taking off the control, he's taking off the hurts, because unhealed wounds that shape our reactions instead of God's truth. He's gotta take out those negative attitudes. You gotta let go of the pride, you gotta let go of the offense, you gotta let go of the resistance. It is hard in your heart, and God says, I'm breaking it off, because I'm taking you from something that looks good to something that is of great use. There is bread that wants to sustain you,

but God says, I gotta get it off your life. Every demon, every devil is getting off your life. Fear is getting off my life, because God hasn't given me a spirit of fear, he's given me a spirit of power, power. If you don't let God get it off you, I know it hurts, I know it's painful, but this is what 21 days of prayer and fasting is. He's getting it off your life, because you can't step into the next season with the chaff, with the husk, with the husk, there's stuff around your life, God's trying to get off your life, let Him break it. Let Him break it, let Him take it off, the habits, the unbelief, the people couldn't step into the new season because of unbelief. Some of you don't believe God can do it for your life, and that's the thing that's stopping you from moving from barley to bread. This is gonna be, bless you, this is gonna help you, but you gotta get this other stuff off your life. Self-reliance, get it off your life. And then He's gonna gather it, and He's gonna store it. And I said, I wanna finish with this thought. I was gonna get you guys to come down the front, because there is a barley that when Ruth was in her hard season, she'd lost her husband, she'd lost her friendships, lost her inheritance, lost her legacy, and she's following

Ruth, Ruth, and so she follows Naomi trying to find this promised land. The Bible says she goes to this field, and in this field, it was a barley field. Let me tell you what happened at the barley field in Leviticus 19. Under the law of Moses, God says this, land owners were commanded not to harvest the complete field. He said, when you reap your grains, reap the harvest in your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the what? The poor, and leave them for the foreigners. In Deuteronomy, it says, do not go over your vineyard a second time, leave what remains for the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow. Ruth knew that she qualified, because unless you become like the wheat to bow down before your Saviour, if you don't humble yourself and realise you're a sinner in need of a Saviour, then you will never step into your harvest. And so she comes and this guy called Boaz becomes the Kingsman Redeemer. Becomes the Kingsman Redeemer. And I heard the Spirit say, there's some Kingsman Redeemers

that God has birthed in here today, where you've got a field and you're gonna leave some corners of your field for the poor, the orphan, and the widow. I want us to give, now listen to me, we received an offering that was called a tithe, where we bring 10% back to the Father, but I believe there is a Holy Ghost offering, it's a redemption offering, where we get to be like Boaz, our Kingsman Redeemer. I didn't get a chance to speak to my wife about this, but here's what I'm asking you to do, every single cent that you sow in this portion, and we're gonna know that you're sowing it towards this, we're gonna give everything away to poor, the orphan, the widow, the sick, the alien, those who are struggling, getting deported, families who are in need. I felt that in my spirit. This is what God wants to do today, and I want you to give generously as the Lord leads you in this moment. And this is a freewill offering, freewill. Now, please, this is not the tithe. This is the offering. And it's significant and symbolic for this reason, that as we give this, I wanna ask you to give the year to God and give 2026, make it clear. Might be $2,026, might be $20.26. It might be 200,000 and 20, whatever the number is,

but make it 2026, because I believe that this is the year that it's not for hibernation, it's time for harvest. I want you to pray about what you should give. Freewill offering, if you need time to think, give it next week. But I want us to give. Thank you, Jesus. We become like Jesus. See, some of you have been waiting for the miracle. You want the bread. But God says, I'm gonna make you the bread, because Jesus is the bread of heaven that provides all that we need. ♪ There is no other name to ♪ ♪ There is no other name ♪ ♪ There is no other name, Jesus Christ ♪ ♪ There is no other name, there is no other name ♪ ♪ There is no other name, there is no other name ♪ ♪ Jesus, you're worthy ♪ So as you just think of what you give, and I want you to give generously today as the Lord leads you in proportion to how He's blessed you. But as sometimes you've got to sow the former rain in preparation for the latter rain. In fact, here's what God says about the bread. If you allow Him to take you through that process, here's why it's gonna be easier than you think, because Jesus is the bread. He, on the cross,

was crushed. The Bible says He was pierced for our transgressions. So for every sin that you have done last year, every sin that you will do, God says Jesus is the bread, the barley that became the bread, because He was pierced for our transgressions. But watch this, He was also crushed, Isaiah, for our iniquities. What's the difference? When Jesus was pierced, is it internal or external? External. When you're crushed, it's a bruise. Is it external or now that's internal? See, David was not just forgiven for the transgression of committing adultery, but Jesus comes and raises the stake and say, if you even look at a woman and lust after her, you've fallen short of my standard. We will never meet the standard of heaven, but the bread of heaven does. He was pierced, He was crushed, He was chopped up on that chopping board to make the right size bread. They cut the top here, they cut the top there. This is a picture of Jesus. And if you would eat, He says you will eat and you'll never have to eat again, because once and for all, the bread of heaven came and He paid the price.

And every time we take communion, this is what we remember. If you're here today, you've never accepted Jesus Christ and His body, which is broken for you, today's your opportunity to find not sin, but salvation. With every eye closed and every head bowed, today, if you've never accepted Jesus Christ, the Bible says, if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, you shall be saved. I'm gonna pray a prayer of salvation. And if you know you need this Jesus, because your life is like barley, I mean, it started, but you need to turn it into bread. If you know that you need this Jesus to remove the chaff, to remove the sin, to remove the stains, He's here today and He wants to do it. And if you would like me to include you in this prayer of salvation, with no one looking around, would you just lift that hand and say, yep, Terrence, I need this Jesus. Awesome, I see your hand, young lady. Lift that hand and say, yes, include me. I see you at the back. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight hands, nine, sons and daughters, 10, 11, 12, 13. Anyone else, just lift that hand up. I'm not gonna call you down the front, just lift that hand up so God sees it. This is your humility to bow. Awesome, you can pop those hands down, God sees you. Let's say this prayer, say, dear God,

thank you for sending Jesus. Thank you for sending Jesus. To be bruised, to be crushed and to be broken so that I can have life in Him. Today, I repent. I repent from going my own ways. Today, I follow you Jesus. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Make me a new creation in Jesus' name. Amen and amen and amen. Amen, amen.
