Yeah, get them signed up, it's gonna be good. And today, it's gonna be a great day in church. Jenny, you got a verse for us? I sure do. We're in the series in the book of Hebrews, and I just wanna remind y'all, Hebrews 11, 39. These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. That sounds so sad, like these folks lived and walked by faith, but they didn't see on this side of eternity what God had in store for them. But the reward is coming. So let that encourage you today. Your reward is coming. Keep the faith, keep up the good work, stay in the word, because God has good things in store. Yeah, it's gonna be good. Pastor Grant is back this week. We wanna get you to it. We'll see you later. Church! Give God a shout of praise in this place! Scripture says, I will bless the Lord at all times, and his praise will always be on my lips. Come on, let's sing the hymn today.
Sometimes you gotta dance through the darkness, sing through the fire, praise when it don't make sense. Sometimes you gotta stand down the giant, worship from the lion's den. Sometimes you gotta shout it from the mountain, louder in the valley, trust in God, he's gonna get you there. Sometimes you gotta welcome the wonder, wait for the answer, worship with your hands in the air, I'll praise him anywhere. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. He is worthy, yes he is worthy of all the praise. Hey! Sometimes you gotta praise in the prison, cry out to heaven, shout it till the doors swing wide. Sometimes you gotta stand on your shackles, brave it in the battle, worship with your hands held high, I'll praise you anywhere. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest.
He is worthy, yes he is worthy of all the praise. Give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. He is worthy. Yes he is worthy of all the praise. Oh, there's no one more worthy. Come on, sing faithful. Faithful, oh my, blessings day and night. Countless reasons why I'll praise you anywhere. Every promise, every goodness, every step. Each and every breath, I'll praise you. Sing faithful. Faithful, oh my, blessings day and night. Countless reasons why I'll praise you anywhere. Every promise, every goodness, every step. Each and every breath, I'll praise you anywhere. Come on, sing it. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. He is worthy, yes he is worthy of all the praise. Give him praise, give him praise, in the highest. Praise, give him praise, give him praise, in the highest.
He is worthy, yes he is worthy of all the praise. Oh, there's no one like the Lord, for I sing he is worthy. He is worthy, yes he is worthy of all the praise. Praise, give him a shout. Hallelujah. And so if you signed up to do that just tomorrow, make sure you're fasting and praying and then tomorrow evening, you eat and enjoy it. And I just believe that something happens
that can't happen any other way when God's people fast and pray. And so I encourage you tomorrow, just spend time fasting and praying and then tomorrow night, you eat and it'll be a great day. And everybody said? We're in a series called By Faith. Take your Bibles and turn to Hebrews chapter 11. We're looking at the men and women of faith and today we pick up at verse 23. Hebrews chapter 11, verse 23. It says, by faith, Moses, after he was born, was hidden by his parents for three months because they saw that the child was, everybody say this word. He was beautiful. And they did not fear the king's eating. This one verse is what we're gonna preach today and I want you to know that this one verse is very significant in all of our lives. You read here about his parents and the names are not even given. In fact, you've gotta go over to Numbers chapter 26 to find the name of Moses' parents. It says the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed. So his mother's name is Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, born to Levi in Egypt. She bore to Amram Aaron, Moses and their sister Miriam.
It may seem very insignificant, this one verse, but I want you to get this. Without this one verse, there would be no Exodus, no Moses, no miraculous deliverance, no wondrous signs and miracles, no parting of the Red Sea. On and on I could go. Listen, your faith is vital to the plan of God. Your faith is vital to the plan of God. And so the title of the message is Fearless Faith. We're looking at the men and women of faith. And the first thing I want you to write down is this. Fearless faith protects. This is the heart of God. Fearless faith protects. Now, how did the Israelites end up in Egypt? Well, last week, we studied a man named Joseph. Everybody say Joseph. Joseph was hated by his brothers. They were jealous of him. They sold him into slavery. He ends up in Egypt. There's a famine in the land. Jacob and his sons end up coming to Egypt to get food. And that's how the whole family ended up there. The Bible says 70 people in all, 70. Keep that in mind. Because when they come out, they came out over 600,000 men plus women and children. We're talking about 70 people
being turned into a million plus people. Now, I believe God's got a word for you today. How many of you believe that? Say amen. Last week, the message is on Joseph. And so, in the providence of God, a man who had been reached through our correctional facility ministry, gave his life to Christ, said when he gets out, he was gonna be baptized. He got out, spent Saturday night behind a gas station. That's where he slept. He walked all the way to the Hampton Campus, got here by the second service on Sunday, came in to honor a commitment he had made to Christ, and followed in Believer's Baptism. Now, yeah, praise God, amen, come on. His name just happened to be Joseph. Then you go to the Spanish-speaking service, same day, they were having child dedication, which meant family members came who normally don't come. And there was a young son there, a teenage son, and then his dad, who came for the child dedication. And the message was on Joseph. And when it came to the time of invitation, he looked at his dad and he said, that message was for me, I'm going to follow Jesus. And he was baptized. Ed was baptized and his name just happened to be Joseph. So my point is this, if your name is Jochebed today,
I got a word for you, all right? No, the whole story, seriously, is found in Exodus chapter one. And so the word Exodus literally means away. Everybody say away. If somebody just needed to hear today, God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He's the way maker, amen? Even when you don't see it, even when you don't feel it, you know God's working and he's making a way and you're gonna see it in this story all throughout. When we look at Exodus 1.6, Joseph and all of his brothers and all the generations eventually died. But the Israelites were fruitful, increased rapidly, multiplied, became extremely numerous so that the land was filled with them. And a new king, sometimes he's called a king, sometimes he's called Pharaoh. It's just a title like president. The new king did not know about Joseph. He came to power in Egypt. So the Egyptians assigned taskmasters over the Israelites to oppress them with forced labor. They built Pithom and Ramses as supply cities for Pharaoh. The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, the first whose name was Shephra and the second whose name was Pua, when you help the Hebrew women give birth,
observe them as they deliver. And if the child is a son, kill him. But if it's a daughter, she may live. And so the Pharaoh comes up with this plan that he wants all the baby boys to be killed. He's gonna do it through the midwives. And we don't know for sure if he wanted them to suffocate them when they were born or drown them if they were being birthed in a basin. But the bottom line was all baby boys were to be killed. Okay? We pick up in the story in verse 17. The midwives, however, feared God. They had fearless faith. They feared God. They did not do as the king of Egypt had told them. They let the boys live. So the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them why. Everybody say why. Why have you done this and let the boys live? Well, the midwives said to Pharaoh, the Hebrew women, they're not like the Egyptian women for they're vigorous and they give birth before the midwife can get to them. Literally, they just said, these Hebrew women, they have babies like going through a drive-through. I mean, just boom, fast. They're here. I can't do anything about it.
So God was good to the midwives and the people multiplied and became very numerous. And since the midwives feared God, look at this. He gave them their families. It's a story about state-sponsored genocide. It is about infanticide, infants being killed, or genocide, a population of people because of race or religion being put to death. You read right here in the Bible about racial profiling. They were killed based on race. They were killed based on gender. And in the world today, sex-selective abortions take place in China, in India, in Pakistan. More girls are aborted than boys. In this case, it was more boys obviously being killed. These midwives are trained to provide healthcare and yet Pharaoh tells them to kill all the baby boys. Now, the Bible is clear that government has been given authority for a reason. So there can be order, so there can be safety. And the Bible says that we ought to support civil order. However, when the law of man conflicts the law of God, we go with God. You see it right here. This is the first case, these midwives, the first case of civil disobedience in the Bible. You see it in the New Testament when the disciples are told not to preach in the name of Jesus. They said, we must obey God rather than man. And so when government and God clash, you go with God.
Did you know around the world there are people right now on this day that are meeting for worship in countries where it is outlawed to meet for worship? So if the government said we can no longer meet for worship, would you still be here? What kind of faith do we have? You know, I ask you, what boys are you listening to most in your life? Sure, they were fearful of the king, but they were, listen, they feared the king of kings. They feared the author of all life. And God's voice was louder in their life than Pharaoh's. Who's the loudest voice in your life? Is it your spouse? Is it your kids? Is it the culture, your boss, or is it God? The Bible says that God. speaks through a still, small voice, that you'll hear a voice behind you saying, this is the way, walk ye in it. Jesus said, do not fear the one who can destroy the body, but fear the one who has the power to destroy both body and soul in hell. We're to fear God rather than man. In fearless faith, not the absence of fear, it's the presence of courage. God blesses those who fear him. Proverbs 9 says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And knowledge and of the Holy One is understanding.
For by me, your days will be many and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, you're wise for your own benefit. If you mock, you alone will bear the consequences. And that's what you see in this story. Pharaoh mocks God and he suffers the consequences. The midwives feared God and they received the blessing of God. I want the blessing. I hope that's your heart today. You want the blessing. Now let's pick up and see again in Exodus 1.22. It says, Pharaoh then commanded all the people, you must throw every son born to the Hebrews into the Nile. It says, but let every daughter live. So he's angry that the first plan didn't work through the midwives. So now he commands that they all be thrown into the river. Now just put yourself in the place of Amram and Jacobit. You find out you're pregnant. Suspense for nine months. Is it gonna be a boy or a girl? You're praying for a girl. You don't want your little boy to be thrown into the Nile. And then after the pain of childbirth, she hears these words. It's a boy. It's a boy. Now pick up in chapter two.
Now a man from the family of Levi married a Levite woman and the woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son. And when she saw that the son was what? Come on, everybody say it. It's the second time we've read it, beautiful. She hid him for three months, but when she could no longer hide him, she got a papyrus basket for him, coated it with asphalt and pitch. She placed the child in it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile. Twice we have seen this child is beautiful. And I think that's the heart of every parent. I mean, every parent thinks their child is beautiful. But I remind you, love is blind. They come out so many times, they're bald-headed, cone-headed, red-faced, and just look like they've been all scratched up. And I mean, slime all over them. In the news, you read all about these UFOs and aliens. That's what babies look like, aliens. The doctor's trying to wipe all that mess off of them, wipe the ugly off of it, you know? And you're laughing because, you know, and one says, I'm telling the truth. But they're beautiful to the parents. You know, I think it's that way about brides. You've never seen an ugly bride. Now, I've seen a close call or two, but never seen an ugly bride.
You know, I'm joking. And it's the same way with babies. You just don't see an ugly baby, you love those babies. And not only in the Old Testament, but in Acts chapter seven, verse 20, it says the very same thing about Moses. At this time, Moses was born, and he was beautiful in God's sight. And I just wanna remind you today, you may look in the mirror and feel ugly. You may have been told that you're not beautiful, but I want you to know God sees you as lovely, and God sees you as beautiful, and every child is beautiful in the eyes of God. And hear me, God loves you. He's for you. He's crazy about you. If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. I just want you to know today, you're loved by God. And don't listen to the lies of the devil. And don't listen to the lies of this world. Now, the Bible says that she hid him for three months. I think all parents want to hide their children, shelter their children from the dangers of this world. And we should hide and shelter them at a young age from being exposed to things they're not ready for. I think a lot of the problems today is because of technology, they're exposed at a very young age to things that we weren't exposed to
until we were teenagers or older. And so there's a sense in which we need to hide them and protect them. However, you can't shelter them forever. They're gonna go to school. Listen, they're gonna go to college or go into the military or go to work. And if they get married, they're gonna go on a honeymoon and you can't go with them. And so we've got to instill a faith in them that's gonna last when they go out into this world. It's only by faith, everybody say by faith. That's what the whole series is about. That's what chapter 11 is about in Hebrews. It's only by faith that godly parents can raise godly children. the children, and the first school of faith has to be the home. It's not the church. The church is to partner with the home, and we love partnering with you, but we can't take the place of every day in that home, you pointing them to Jesus. Now, I want to point out to you something we forget, and that is, Jochebed and Amram did not have a Bible. It would be their son, their youngest son, Moses, that God would use to write the first five books of the Bible, so they didn't have a Bible, but they had Bible stories, and verbally and orally, they would pass those down generation to generation before the Bible was written, and so the same way
I think about it as a child growing up, my mom would read me, I could still see that big Bible story book that she would read to me from at night, and the pictures within it, and it had a lasting impact on my life, and so they're telling the story of Adam and Eve, and the story of creation, and the story of the fall, and how sin came into the world, and the world's broken now because of it. True story, one of our school teachers said that recently they were giving an elementary class a little Bible test, and it was true, false question, and a girl raised her hand to ask a question. The teacher walked back there and said, what is it? She said, can you read this to me? And it said, true or false, the fall of man was when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden. And the teacher said to the little girl, so is that true or false? And the little girl looked at her and she said, she looked at her and she said, well, I've seen the pictures in the Bible story book, and the garden sure looked like spring, not fall. That's good, she should've got that one right, I don't care what she put down, true or false, all right? But it was God who put it in Jochebed's heart, the story of Noah and the flood. In fact, when we read that word ark in Genesis, and when you read here in Exodus, she made a basket, it is the same Hebrew word for ark, or teba,
which means, or teba, which means the same. So she made a little ark, and she put baby Moses in it. And we're talking about fearless faith protects, listen, just like Noah was safe in the ark and Moses was safe in the basket, listen, we're safe in Jesus. Fearless faith protects. Number two, fearless faith provides, it only protects, but it also provides. God provided everything that was needed in the story, a basket, the Nile River, Pharaoh's daughter, Moses' sister, Moses' own mom, who would care for him. And I just wanna encourage parents today, you're wondering how you're gonna make it, let me tell you, God is gonna provide everything you need as a parent. God knows where those kids need to go to school, God knows who their friends need to be, God knows their needs before you do. And so God provides. Pick up here in Exodus 2, it says, then his sister stood at a distance in order to see what would happen to him. Pharaoh's daughter went down to bathe at the Nile while her servant girls walked along the riverbank. She saw the basket, that's the ark, among the reeds, sent her slave girl, took it, opened it, and saw him, the child, and there he was, a little boy, and he's beautiful. And at just the right time, I believe one of those reeds
stuck him and he started crying. See, the plan of God, the sovereignty of God, she felt sorry for him. This is why the Hebrew boys. Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, I mean, where did Miriam come up with this question? God put it in her heart. Should I go and call a Hebrew woman who's nursing to nurse the boy for you? Go, Pharaoh's daughter told her. So the girl went, called the boy's mother, then Pharaoh's daughter said to her, take this child and nurse him for me and I will pay your wages. Is that good or what? So the woman took the boy and nursed him. Fearless faith protects and fearless faith provides. Oh, you see, God's hand in all of it. It tells us several things. One is this, even though you may have a dad who is full of evil and hatred like Pharaoh, you don't have to be like him. Pharaoh's daughter wasn't like her dad, no. Just like Satan is working through people, Satan was working through Pharaoh. God was working through the midwives and God is working through Pharaoh's daughter. God is working through people. Do you see it? God is going to accomplish his eternal purposes.
And this whole picture here, Pharaoh's daughter adopting Moses, really stands out to me. I wanna point out to you, it's a picture of the gospel. Don't miss it. Think about it. We know that Moses was adopted by Pharaoh's daughter. Jesus was adopted by his earthly father. We know the Bible says when we come into the family of God, that it is through the spirit of adoption. And in the case of Moses, you see a birth mother, Jochebed, who loves her child so much that she put him up for adoption to Pharaoh's daughter. And so with that in mind, I wanna point out to you some facts about adoption in America today. 400,000 children in foster care, 100,000 waiting to be adopted. Children wait an average of 32.3 months to be adopted. The waiting average age is 7.7 years old. When they actually get adopted, it's a little lower, 6.2. 55% of waiting children have had three or more foster placements. 33% change elementary school, look at this, five times or more every time relationships are broken, every time education is delayed. And so I couldn't preach the passage without just taking a moment and saying to you that you may not be aware of it, but Liberty Live Church has an adoption fund
because adoption is expensive. So that when God lays on some of your hearts to adopt or to foster, that we can come alongside of you and help in that process. Don't you understand when you read the Bible that orphans are near to the heart of God? That we ought to protect and provide for what God loves and God loves people, God loves orphans. This story is about the Hebrew's children being in slavery. Did you know there are 30 million slaves today in human trafficking? I'm telling you, we are to care for those who cannot care for themselves, the elderly, those with special needs. And when we think about whether God gives you a child through birth or through adoption, let me tell you, you never know how God's going to use that child. You never know who you have in your home. Jacob didn't just raise one amazing child, not just two, three, three. Moses was the deliverer, Aaron was the first priest, and Miriam was the first prophetess according to Exodus 15 20. And I just wanna encourage parents today, train up your child in the way that they should go. If you have more than one child, you know that no two are alike. Am I telling the truth or not? I'm telling you, they're different. Some are athletic and some are artistic.
You let them be who God created them to be. And most of all, we're talking about fearless faith protects and fearless faith provides. Provide for them what's most important. A college education's important, but it's not most important. A car's important, but it's not most important. A cell phone's important at the right age, but it's not most important. No, you provide the most important thing, love. Watch this, faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love. Look at this, 2 Corinthians 5 14, for the love of Christ compels us. You point them to Jesus, you show them the love of God. In fact, I would ask you this question, do you love them enough to tell them the truth? Do you love them enough to say I can't stand by and just watch you continue to make bad decisions? Do you love them enough to say no? Everybody say no. Parents, when you say no, your kids are not gonna like it. But that's all right, you're not trying to be their friend. You're called to be their parent. You can be their friend when they grow up, amen? Right now, they just need a parent to love them and protect them and provide for them, and everybody said? Number three, the third and final point is this. Fearless faith positions. Oh, I love this.
Fearless faith positions. Fearless faith doesn't just shield you and supply you. It strategically sets you where God intends to use you for his glory. Oh, I love that in this story that God is getting Moses where he's supposed to be. Now Aaron, he knew the bitterness of slavery. Miriam, the sister, knew the bitterness of slavery, but not Moses. Moses was raised in the palace. He went to the finest schools there in Egypt, and God is positioning. him to be a deliverer, to set his people free. And the Bible says that when God did set them free, and he did part the waters, that it was Miriam who, in Exodus 14 and 15, led the worship, and they sang that song of salvation and deliverance, praising God for him setting them free. But I wanna encourage you today, I really, I wanna speak a word right now to families and to church families. God help me do that, to families and to church families. I wanna encourage you, some of you are young parents, and you got kids just bickering and fussing and fighting all the time, and you're weary. I wanna encourage you. It happened in this family. It happened with Aaron, and with Miriam, and with Moses. It happened in Abraham's family, in David's family. There's not a family you can look at in the Bible
that didn't have their moments. Just think about your own family. Just think about it for a moment. You and your siblings, your parents and grandparents with their siblings, no one's exempt. I'm trying to encourage you, receive it in Jesus' name. Hey, you may have little kids that are fussing and fighting. You may have older kids, I read an article just this week, that have cut off their parents, or have cut off their siblings, no longer even speak to one another. And so, I wanna show you this. In Numbers 12, one, Miriam and Aaron criticize their younger brother, Moses, because of the Cushite woman he married, for he had married a Cushite woman. They got in-law issues. Hello? They said, does the Lord speak only through Moses? Does he not also speak through us? And so, I just want you to know today, you're not alone. In fact, you think about your family, you think about your parents, your grandparents, all the aunties and uncles. Every family we know of is a dysfunctional mess. Am I telling the truth or not? There are no perfect families. There are no perfect leaders. So, let me just say a word right here to church families.
Maybe somebody watching that's not even a member of this church. They criticize Moses, who is the man of God, the friend of God, the servant of God. They were tired of their little brother leading. Miriam's attitude had to be, Moses, you wouldn't even be alive if it wasn't for me. Let me tell you. God called all three siblings together for a meeting, and the Bible says God showed up in a cloud, and when the cloud was lifted, watch this. Miriam was leprous, and Moses begged God to forgive her, and he did. And listen, when there was repentance, there was restoration, and they went on working together for God. And I'm talking to some families right now. You got a family business. You're working together. It's not easy. You got different roles, different responsibilities. You always don't agree. Hey, all that frustration, tension, it's normal, it's part of every family, but just like God restored them, and they continued to work together, you can continue to work together. And I wanna say to church families, be careful. Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses, and God said, weren't you afraid?
Were you not fearful to speak against my servant? There's somebody, some church that needs to hear what I'm about to say. Touch not, God's anointed. I heard of a church just a few weeks ago fired the pastor. Was not a moral issue, was not a doctrinal issue. Here's the issue. They said, well, he's just hard to get along with. Have you looked in the mirror? How many people at work or in your family would say you hard to get along with? And let me tell you, that pastor's gonna be fine. That church is in trouble. We were, listen, I left my notes a long time ago, but I'm speaking, I know, God's speaking right now. We had some vision gatherings. They're small groups. And when you're invited to one, I hope you'll come. And it'll just be some small gatherings so we can just share the vision of where God's taken us. And so we were at Smithfield, and we were having this vision meeting. And around the table, people began to tell their story. And one man, godly man, faithfully serves here on the life team, been here as long as I can remember. He told me how he came to Liberty, and I heard it for the first time. You know what he said? He said, we went to a church,
and he said, we were active and involved, and they ran off the pastor. The charter members ran off the pastor. He said, so we went to another church, and he said, it was going good, and then they didn't like what he was preaching, and they ran home. him off. He said, we finally came to Liberty because it was over a hundred years old and I thought, well for sure they don't have any charter members. Nobody lives over, you know, probably over a hundred. And he said, you know, there's no perfect church, he said, but I can tell you this, Liberty has guarded its unity and we've supported our pastor. And he said, I just want to make a statement, if anybody wants to run off Pastor Grant, they'll have to go through me. And I'm just, I looked at him and I said, may your tribe increase brother, I thank God for you, amen. But listen, Moses wasn't perfect, there's no perfect pastor, there are no perfect siblings, there are no perfect families, no perfect parents, but we see here that God, when they repented, God restored them, they went on serving together, they weren't disqualified, they didn't stop serving, no, they went on together. And I just really believe today that God had a word, he wanted to minister to families and to church families, beyond the Liberty family, that we need to be careful how we treat one another. Do you receive it? Now I want to point out one other thing, Jacobed only had three years and three months, that's a short window, three years and three months, to pour into Moses to prepare him to go all through all the schools and learning of Egypt. But in three years and three months, she laid a foundation that Egypt could not shake. And so I just want to encourage parents today, pour into young children. You're listening to someone preach right now who was saved in vacation Bible school, that's why Kids Week is so important. Kids can come to Christ. Jesus said, suffer the little children to come unto me. I'm talking about preschool, listen, it's not babysitting. We're telling the stories, the Bible stories, we're singing those
Bible songs to them. It's getting in their heart, it's getting in their mind, and it'll lay a foundation that the devil and the world cannot shake. Oh, I want to encourage you, listen, some of you need to come today, just pray for Kids Week and say, God, I'm willing to serve, I'm willing to help in preschool, I'm willing to help not only in Kids Week, hey, student camp. Do you understand there are a lot of single moms that they bring their children to preschool or kids or even to students. There's not a godly dad in the picture. You are the only, a male working in children's ministry or student ministry, maybe the only godly mentor in their life. I can't tell you how many times on Father's Day, little children that came up in this church, had no godly father at home, raised by a single mom, would come out to me and Tammy and during Father's Day hand me a card and say, thank you for being our pastor and our spiritual father. That's a responsibility, it comes with that. And so I want to encourage you to see the bigger picture here of how God wants to use you in the lives of the next generation. I would also say to you this, listen, sooner or later you're gonna have to put it in the basket. She had to put Moses in the basket and trust God. You got to put your kid in the basket and trust God. What is it you need to put in the basket today? Your marriage? Your job? It may be the pain of the past or the present. Who is it? What is it that you need to put in the basket and trust God with today? Up to this point we've read about main characters, Joseph. Wow. I mean, the whole half of Genesis is about Joseph. But today, no, verse 23, some unnamed parents, a mother, a sister, midwives, Pharaoh's daughter. What I'm trying to get across to you is this, you don't have to be a main character to be a person of influence. God will use you right where you are. I close with this story. A few years ago, I was greeting as I always do between services and they told me that there was a lady waiting on me to speak to me. And so after I got through greeting, I went over there and I talked to her for a moment and she said, I just wanted to come and tell you my story. She said, I was stationed here years ago and she said, I was in an abusive relationship and I ended up pregnant by my boyfriend and I had scheduled an abortion on Monday. But a
free... Invited me to Liberty and I came on that day and on that day you were preaching on Moses and how Pharaoh's daughter Adopted him and And his life was spared and he wasn't killed like the baby boys And she said I left that service and on Monday I decided I would not have that abortion But I would keep this child and here's what she said. Yeah She Said I'm now stationed in another city. I'm active in church I'm raising my daughter to love Jesus, but I just wanted you to meet Sarah She was beautiful. And she said I just came back to say, thank you God used you in this church to give me this child. Come on give Jesus praise We don't always see what's going on but sometimes God gives you a little glimpse Of lives that are being touched and only eternity revealed all the lives that will be touched But I'm telling you God touched Joseph last week and another Joseph last week and several years ago God touched the mom who gave birth to Sarah and I believe he's speaking to you today Moses points us to Jesus Jesus is the ultimate deliverer Listen when when the world needed a Savior God sent a baby and when the world needs a teacher When the world needs a preacher when a world needs a missionary when the world needs a doctor or a nurse you know what God sends a baby a baby and Just like Moses and and Jesus they were both in Egypt Pharaoh had the baby boys killed when Moses was born Herod had the baby boys killed when Jesus was born 40 years Moses was in the wilderness 40 days Jesus was in the wilderness, but Hebrews 3 says Jesus is greater than Moses And so it all points us to to Jesus and that's where I want to take you today I won't take you to the feet of Jesus. I know that there may be women Who are in our services today are watching online and maybe you've had an abortion It may their guys out there you forced your girlfriend or your wife to have an abortion
Let me tell you God's Word to you today is not one of Condemnation it's one of hope and it's one of healing You go to Jesus and let me tell you what Jesus is saying He said come unto me all you who are heavy laden. I'll give you rest. I want you to Jesus says He'll give you peace that passes all understanding though your sins be as scarlet They can be as white as snow if we confess our sin He's faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness I'm tell you we all have a past we all have things that we wish we could undo or change But if you go to God and you ask him to forgive you and you put it under the blood Stop beating yourself up over what God has already forgiven There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus So I just want to encourage you during this altar call. In fact, I don't want to ask right now Every campus just go ahead and stand. Go ahead and stand. Every campus And the altar is open right now I'm gonna pray in just a moment But just right now you want to come to the altar and pray you pray for your own children You pray for your own family you pray about your own siblings you pray for kids weak You pray for student camp you pray for moms out there that are making a decision Am I gonna keep this child? Am I gonna carry this child? Listen, you pray for those that are just carrying a burden today a burden about their family or Maybe their churches out there. We need to be praying for like I described today Let me show you what God will do he'll give you peace Did you know the Bible says he can make even your enemies be at peace with you? And if the gospel can restore a right relationship between you and God Don't you think it can restore a right relationship between you and others? Yes Don't don't worry about walking in front of the camera. The altar is open. Just come pray come pray You respond right now every campus every location

Even as these begin to pray, I wanna invite our staff and prayer team down front. Many of you need to talk to somebody. I just sense the Holy Spirit moving this hour, calling families to consider adoption, calling people to let go of past hurt and trauma. Finally forgive and move on from the things that are holding you back from the past. I really believe many of you need prayer over family reconciliation. You need a pastor or someone to walk you through reconciling with a friend or family member. I mean, look at the altar. People already surrendering just hard circumstances in their life. Maybe you need to surrender your children or your grandchildren to the Lord
and ask God to move and work in their lives like only you can. Our prayer team, our pastors are coming down front. The worship team is coming now to sing.
