Coming to Life: Nahum

The book of Nahum follows the events of Jonah, focusing on the downfall of Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. Despite repenting after Jonah’s prophecy, the Ninevites returned to their evil ways and committed atrocities. Nahum, a prophet from Judah, delivered God’s judgment against them, emphasizing God’s justice and patience. Shortly after Nahum’s prophecy, Nineveh was destroyed, and Assyria was conquered by Babylon. This story illustrates God’s justice against the guilty and His ultimate protection for His people, showing His character as just and merciful.
