So they get to go in every other week to the PC DC with us and minister and I tell you I It gives me chills and almost makes me cry to think about what an incredible experience it is, right? and You know When Christie was talking earlier about the you know, why aren't these seats filled? We have such everybody has a story all of you have a story I could just take the mic around and say what's your story and everybody would share something incredible But I just want to let them kind of share some of the things that God has done in their life And how he's showing them that even when we think it's over it's not all right, so Get ready All right Constance Can you share a season when it was hard to hold on to hope? Yes Maybe it was over three years ago. I found myself blindsided by Heartbreak I was my heart was just shattered. I was lost. I was depressed and I Just did I lost all hope and did not want to live anymore, and I just felt hopeless. I felt worthless and all the things that come with it from being Just in a dark state being in that dark tunnel where I could not see the light Do y'all ever feel like that how many of you raise your hand and everybody in this room better raise your hand with if you've ever been depressed Or you feel like you've been some of y'all aren't raising your hand and that's a lie That's a lot the devil. You're in the house of the Lord. I just want to point that out. Don't be lying Y'all We all feel depressed and I think one thing about women is that it's hard for us to admit that it's hard to admit that We're like we're hopeless. We are in we're in a tunnel. We don't have to be incarcerated Renee said that we don't have to be incarcerated inside walls to feel that in your heart and we all need to do a better job of Sharing that and coming together as a group of women. Okay
Get ready, what about you Danielle do you want to share a time when you felt you lost type there's nothing there I Can't honestly say it was I felt that all was lost It was just the timing. It was the questioning guy. Why the delay? Why the setback why the resisted why the kept consistent test of the matter and And so with that, you know that can be overwhelming to your mind You can tend to overthink things you can tend to overthink things about yourself Your own self image and self-worth. So I would think I know God was always there But it was just ensuring myself that I needed to hold on to his promises That's good Okay, so with that what lie do we feel like that? The devil is telling us what lie do you want to share that we we sometimes believe as women and we all do it It's never gonna change it's never gonna change. It's gonna be like this. This is just you're a lot You know, Paul said he had a thorn in the flesh So sometimes we accept the horns that were not designed by God We accept things in our lives that he does want to change and he is going to a lot of change But we just have to learn to stay the course We learned have to learn as the songs were sung this morning to give thanks in everything to trust his way And even if we feel it's not going to change we continue to declare his promises Yeah, all right. Constance. I would say that you feel worthless that God can't use you. I've messed up too bad It's too late for me That's the lie that the enemy continue to tell me Sometimes I remember before my husband and I got married we've been married 20 years praise the Lord But before we got married I remember being in my young 20s And I this is the lie that the devil told me that I was like, oh, this is a good one devil He really got me here. He told me that I wasn't finding who I was gonna marry Because I wasn't doing enough for him. Who of us feel like we're not doing enough for the Lord And that's so it's like our punishment our penance I don't know like this is what we're doing and I think that it's
You know last year if you came to the revival we saw the women walk up on stage and they showed what that loud one It's so hard talking about that we were talking about the last women are told and the lies that we believe and interesting enough we talked about what would you do if somebody if your friend came and told you that live what would you say if somebody was like you're worthless what would you say constant but yet we let the devil tell us that we go you're right devil we are we're worthless so okay what scriptures do you think you have to keep coming back to or what I'm gonna say a mantra scripture you're using scripture to then declare it in your mind so that you hear it well mine is second Peter chapter one God has given us everything by his divine power that's the Holy Spirit some say the Holy Ghost it has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness so all that we need to live through heartache pain trauma abuse whatever it is if we rely on Jesus and not our own understanding he has given us the power to overcome Proverbs three five and six trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to not own understanding and all that ways acknowledge him and he shall direct our paths amen well I love Jeremiah 29 11 and for the for I know the plans that I have for you to clear the Lord but when I was a little girl my mom used to always say to me you know when I'm scared when I'm unsure the Lord is my shepherd the Lord is my shepherd and I'll tell you it's just a simple thing I still do that I'll wake up in the middle of the night like I can't go to sleep or like whatever it is but I also tell my children that because I want them to remember that it's not like the Lord is my shepherd and it immediately stops all that negativity or the thoughts but it's the constant reminder of who I am right of who God says I am he's he's got this it's not over and declaring that thing okay you're ready for the next one this is a hard one okay I'm a might not answer it but I'ma let y'all okay what did faith look like when you couldn't see God working uh-huh you want to go first or constant you want to go first it's like a battle of who wants to share
faith look like keep going keep going through the storm keep keep going keep moving forward and as I'm Miss Christy said earlier knowing that God loves me even through this pain that's why I stand on Proverse 35 and 6 even the things I do not understand I trust God so I got to keep going keep acknowledging him keep moving for no matter what it feels like no matter what it looks like keep going all right Danielle what works do you have share us I just think about Isaiah 26 and 3 this says that the Lord will keep you in perfect peace if your mind is stayed on him so we have to be intentional as women and men to keep our mind stayed on the Lord so on those days when it's hard you remember what God says and it's about developing a relationship with God that's why we have to be in a zone always that we're able to give things we're able to praise we're able to acknowledge God you got to be intentional about that it's just not going to happen so I will find myself piggybacking off the Holy Ghost instead of calling a friend and those instead of going to my husband who was able to come we thank God for him but we piggyback off when I say piggyback off the Holy Ghost I mean the word Lord this is going on today this is too much for me what do you say about it and I go to the word and I know that that's gonna be the resolve even if I don't feel like doing it even if I don't feel like trusting it I know that I know that he who promised is faithful the other day Carla and I were sitting here setting up and I read through all these questions and I was like Carla what would you say and so look at her she's looking at me she don't know what I'm gonna say now and what's interesting as I asked one of these questions and I was like what would you do and she was like do you want do you want the right answer or what I'd really do and I think that's it sometimes we look at like what's the right answer looks Carla don't make me call you up on stage okay so it's like this I was like Carla what would we really do when we don't see it working what do we all want to do Carla what do we want to do we want to cry how many of you want to cry when we don't see it working yeah you do and we do and I think that that's okay
We're gonna get down on our knees and we're gonna cry and say, Lord Jesus, I don't know why. I know you're working. I can't see it. I have faith in your plans and promises and I know this and it's not over because coming down on your knees and crying, I mean, that's that relationship for it. That's staying in the Word. That's coming to Him in prayer. That's building that connectivity. Okay, I'm getting on my thing. All right, oh, this another good one, okay. How much time do I have? I don't see my little timer up here. What does it look like to trust God when life is messy? Pass. (audience laughing) I gotta bring in the humor so we don't like it 'cause I'll start crying. God is. I'm sorry. So again, sometimes I realize early on that sometimes we make living for the Lord and standing on His Word a little too difficult. And so again, that's where that intentionality has to come in that you're going to trust God even in the mess because again, He's the only one that can fix the mess. And sometimes you feel uncomfortable and you feel like you're being too rigid
or you don't want anybody to think that you are holier than now, so to speak. But it's just you gotta stand, even in the mess, like you have to. I have to be intentional to get up and acknowledge the Lord. I have to be intentional. My church family laughs at me. I have alarms. Psalms says seven times a day, well, I praise you. So at one point I had seven alarms to make sure I was intentional about praising God because I don't know what's going to happen during the day. We wake up with issues and things come in cold caucus and blind sight us through the day. So we have to have a built-in praise. But that comes again with that intentional relationship with God and yielding to the Holy Ghost. Yeah, I love that. We all need to set seven alarms, okay? Everybody do it, not now during the service, but later, constant. Oh, through the midst, oh, it's frustrating. It's a lot of tears. But again, it's surrendering to the power of the Holy Spirit because I found out for myself, I'd rather go through with Jesus knowing every outcome points to victory than going through the mess, trying to figure it out on my own, making all these wrong decisions.
It's going to lead further and further into heartbreak, and trauma, and more myths that I didn't want to deal with because I stepped out on my own. So now it takes, uh-uh, I got a surrender. All right, so, this is our last question before we finish up. If, okay, we got all these women here, what advice would we tell them? In the mess, in the life, when we want to cry, when we want to do, we already know we're going to do seven times of our prayer thing 'cause we, that's a good one. But what do we need to do? I mean, we've said the word, is there anything else of encouragement that we want to share with these women? You can go, okay. Anybody, talk about it for granted. So I would just like to quickly share. I'm 42 years old, I turned 42 in July. My husband is 50, he turned 50 this year. Yeah, I had to say it until the testimony. And we are pastors, we are business owners. We are a lot of things and the Lord has blessed us, but we are not natural parents. So, you know, the questions of, where are the kids, when are the kids going? You know what, things like that don't bother us, but you gotta be careful when you do do that to people.
I thank God because again, that's the Holy Ghost, because we trust that it's God's time, right? We know that he who promised, he is faithful. And one of his directness to us is to be fruitful and multiply. So in the delay, because Sarah was, what, 100, who was 90, who was 100? Somebody was 90, somebody was 100. I don't wanna wait that long. We don't want you to either. However, the Lord's way and his perfect will is right over the course of the years. We've had beautiful nieces and nephews born, who look up to us. We have beautiful God children now where parents are flocking to us. And just saying, I want you to be a part of my child's life. He has allowed us to open a business where we're able to take care of children up until adulthood. So we didn't have children the way we thought, but the Lord still provided a way for us to impart into others' lives. So again, we say, do what God says, do. It's not because we don't feel this because we're not faithful or don't trust God. We just trust His plan and we're determined to stand regardless of what happens. - Amen, I shared, you know, I was shattered by heartbreak. And to God be the glory, God healed me from that heartbreak
and those things that had me bound and feeling worthless. He did an internal work on the inside of me and I am grateful, I am so grateful to God for what He is doing in my life. He is tremendously blessing me. But I was reminded on yesterday when we went into the jail and although the people give their lives to the Lord, they don't mean they get out of jail and all this stuff. And so you gotta go through those storms, right? But God is doing a work on the inside. So even in my situation, the pain, the heartbreak, the thing that happened, yeah, it still exists. But God is doing a work on the inside of me. It's bigger than that. He's graced me to go through it. He's giving me the capacity to love even when I don't feel love. So my advice is to die daily. Die daily to those feelings that we feel, those walls that we don't put up, that stinking thinking that we have in our mind because it's what God says. We got to walk in the fruits of the Spirit and it takes the power of the Holy Spirit, cannot do it on your own. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that helps you love, that helps you walk in kindness, that helps you walk in discipline, that helps you persevere. So you gotta let the Holy Spirit take control, lead and guide your life in those times.
Every moment of the day, I will say every second of the day is the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit. Oh, yes, that's so good, amen, amen. Okay, so like I told y'all earlier, Constance and Danielle are part of our jail team and that's one of the things that we do. And we got, I'm trying to look at my screen like I can see it, the connections, okay. But this is what we do. And I think, you know, we get letters. The five things that we do, we go inside prison in jails all across the country. We have a correspondence team. Lauren is in charge of that. We get mail all over the country from men and women and we have writers, some of you are writers. And you respond to those letters with encouragement and hope because that's what we do, deliver hope. We do a call on, Pastor Pat is out there and he answers that and works with our chaplains and he prays with incarcerated and their families. We have podcasts and broadcasts on tablets. It looks like an iPad but it's not. It's approved content that individuals can watch and we do that. And then I've already told you we go in instead of prison in jails. But when we get some of the letters, it's really interesting because everybody that writes in, I guess not everybody, but they'll say
how real this team is, how genuine, how authentic and how watch these women do it. We walk into jail at PCDC. Renee does she, we sit down with these women. We're not incarcerated behind bars. But yet again, just like Chrissy, they form a connection with these women. They share these stories and they get down to their level. And it's beautiful for me to be able to watch them, their faces light up and the women that they've connected with, their faces light up. And you know what, they feel seen. How many of us sometimes just want to feel seen and heard and looked at, we all do and they do that. And so that is the hope that we deliver. All right, so tell me for people if they want to get connected, give to our ministry, why should they? What do you feel about it? Why should you? What do you love about Victoria's living? - Well, I believe in vision and even more so, I believe in vision that's called by God. And it is undeniable when you hear Ms. Christie's testimony that she heard from God. This is a ministry straight from heaven. It is helping millions and millions and millions and it is just growing and to be a part of it and to see the inner workings of the vision come to pass. It's just, it's just humbling to be a part of it and you just want to contribute to it.
So I'm just grateful to be a part. It's definitely called by God. Thank you, Ms. Christie. - Yes, thank you so much for Trissy. It is an honor, I call the jail behind the walls. So I would encourage people to bless this ministry because you're going behind the walls to say just what it is. Jesus loves you, this is not the end. So to see people give their lives to the Lord, and I can't wait to hear the great testimonies to come from it. So it's not over. So being able to go back there in those dark places where it's hopeless, where you don't feel worthy, where you being not treated good at times, and you feeling already a shame and guilty of whatever things you went through, the walk in there to say, "Jesus loves you." - Hope is here. - Hope is here. - And it's not just, I mean, obviously being with our team, we are tremendously fun and delightful, but that is an understatement. But it really is about it gets to your heart, and the passion and the love just that I've grown for this ministry is incredible. Because I get to see them leave women to Jesus. I get to see the letters that Lauren gets to. And we meet people, if you were here last night, that have been impacted by victorious living.
And when you think that people behind bars, 'cause if you haven't been incarcerated, if you haven't faced anything, you're like, "Oh, I don't want anything." We're an arm's length away from those people. But when you see the results, it's something magical. - I'm magical and holy. - Okay. That's it, I'm going to say, "Oh, wait, Sheridan." And Sheridan, oh, yeah, here she is. It's up, okay. - Yeah, we can go. - Thank you. - Thank you. - Thank you, y'all, thank them. They're wonderful. (audience applauding) - Thank you for watching our broadcast. Are you an incarcerated brother or sister who needs encouragement?
