True Repentance

In session #3 of our discipleship course on "Sharing the Gospel," Robin Cox and Stephen Canup discuss the importance of repentance in coming to a true saving faith in Christ Jesus. Peter, Paul, John, and Jesus are all quoted from scripture talking about true repentance. It is a change of mind, leading to a change of heart, resulting in a complete change of direction - turning away from sin and towards God. We do not win souls; rather, the Holy Spirit draws them through repentance to the Cross and salvation. He tugs on the strings of their heart as we share the Gospel. We never take credit for "getting someone saved" because it is really all the work of the Holy Spirit through us!
