[Music] Father, we thank you so much for this moment. [Music] Throughout Scripture, we see your spirit moving. [Music] With fire, with water, in the wind, [Music] And in the still soft voice. [Music] So, we ask you today, Heavenly Father, to have your life. [Music] I love your women. [Music] In this moment, don't get distracted. Where are the places that are, you're seeking the warmth of the presence of God. No looking around. No wanting it for your neighbor, for the person next to you, for your spouse, for your parent, for your boss. Just you and God. Scripture said he created you, he made you together in your mother's home. In that moment, every talent, every ability, every call. He already knew your purpose. He already knew his plan for you. So, in this moment, look to your heavenly Father today. Oh, in love, you choose us.

I was always thinking about that this morning on the drive in. I was seeing through the song and I thought about our Savior and how his appearance into this world was not what the people were thinking it was going to be. They expected a king to come in and bring deliverance to them, to wage war against their enemies and Jesus said that they're not in the way that they were looking for. Because Jesus came that though he was God, Philippians said he did not cling onto his divinity, but he came as a man, as a human. Scripture says he was a man of sorrows, and that he died in criminals that though he was blameless There might be moments in your life where God doesn't show up the way you thought he was going to. He's still God. And so this morning, as we take communion today, let's think about the things that the Lord has done for us. Because if we have accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, our Father in Heaven, we are now sons and daughters of the Most High God. So in this moment, Scripture says that we are to take a moment and to reflect on that. To allow the Holy Spirit to be in the cleanse inside of us, anything that is not like our Savior. So can you do that right now in this moment? Allow the sweet conviction. Conviction isn't harsh. Conviction is sweet. It is a sweet drawing for you to come closer to the Lord. Go ahead and open up your elements. Scripture says on the night that Jesus was betrayed, he took the bread, the Passover that he took the bread, and he broke it, and he looked at his disciples, and he began to fulfill the law. That was written for thousands of years before his birth. And he said, "This is my body. It's broken for you." Do this and remember, can we take it together this way? Thank you for your brokenness, that we are. Thank you for your brokenness, that we are whole. In the same way, Jesus took the cup, and he blessed it, and he said, "This is the New Covenant, the New Testament."

Written in blood, do this, and remember, simply, can we take the cup today? And we thank you that by your stripes, we are healed, that through your blood, we are cleansed. And then Jesus makes this declaration. He says, "For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, we are proclaiming who he is and what he has done until he comes again." Because he went to the cross, but three days later, he rose from the dead, so we could have resurrected life. I don't know about you, Church, but I'm so thankful, so thankful for what the Lord has done today. As the ushers come and they collect that, once they collect the elements, he just left your hands one more time, and let's sing and worship the Lord together.
