The law came into existence because of sin. The blood of Jesus done away with sin and now we have grace. 

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty

II Corinthians 3:17 NKJV

Who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

II Corinthians 3:6 NKJV

You will find in Ephesians 5:1-2

It instructs believers to "be imitators of God, as beloved children, and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us."
