The stripes that he took deformed his body. The stripes that he took made him unrecognizable. When they whipped Jesus Christ, his flesh was ribboned to the point where after his 39 scourges, when he was carrying that cross to Golgotha on that hill, the people couldn't even recognize Yeshua of Nazareth. They couldn't even recognize it was still him because of how deformed he was. So why am I healed by his stripes? It's because the stripes that he took is the punishment for mine, your sin. And sin produces sickness. Is it every single time that someone's sick, it's because of sin? I'm not here to debate you about the sovereignty of God. I'll just tell you this. We're not even supposed to die. That was never even the will of God. But because of sin, now we all have an expiration date on our bodies. Now we have to go through this life.
This is never what God intended. The gospel is that the morning star, Jesus Christ, came to reveal the kingdom before the kingdom came in fullness. When the fullness of light manifests here on this earth, actually it won't be on this earth. It'll be in the new Jerusalem on a new earth. It'll be undeniable. But Jesus is that deposit, he's that morning star, that revelation that the kingdom of God is now here. Whether you're in a place where there's darkness in your life, whether you're going through spiritual warfare, and you got all these things going on, it doesn't matter. Jesus Christ already came to reveal to you that the kingdom of God is at hand. When he was here, and now the kingdom of God is here through us. Through us. So yes, there's darkness. Yes, there's sickness. Yes, there's disease. Yes, there's all these different things and depression and all these things. But Jesus came to set the captives free, to heal the sick, so that the blind could see. He came to raise the dead. This is not a joke. This is not just a religious term. This is not jargon. I didn't come to Christ and give my entire life to this walk to follow Jesus because of religion. I was not raised in the church. I don't know about that. I was raised in a whole different way. And when God met me where I was at, and healed me of an incurable disease, and delivered me from demons that I was tormented with my entire life, I knew that if people would experience what I experienced, would follow the same Jesus I follow. That's it. The kingdom of God comes in power and in glory. Amen. So I want all you at the front to know the will of God is for you to be healed. It's powerful, man. Too many testimonies. God does not heal because he just, he's just nice. He heals because he's in love with us.
And it's unconditional. God healed me when I was in so much mess. I didn't even really know him like that. I was a new believer. I've seen God heal people that are even unbelievers. The Bible says that Jesus, when he walked the earth, he healed all who were sick. Everybody. He walked in such a realm of authority that anywhere he put his hands, people got healed. And the word says that the church has the same ability. But we don't walk in that authority sometimes because we doubt. Or we don't believe. Sometimes people are dealing with sickness because of compromise. That's why Jesus would tell people, now go and sin no more so that the state that you were in is not worse than the last. Because people would be bound by demons and sickness because of compromise, because of working iniquity. It's not like God says, well, you're in sin, so I'm going to put a demon on you. It's not his heart. What happens is people agree with the word of the enemy. And by coming in agreement with the word of a spirit, any spirit that you come in agreement with that word of that spirit will guide you and have right over you. That's why as Christians, when we believe the word of God, the Holy Spirit will manifest the power of God in our life. But there are other spirits that are not holy and set apart. There's only one set apart spirit from every other spirit. That's the Holy Spirit. That's what holy means, set apart. He's the set apart, the ruakakudos, the set apart spirit, the highest power. There's no other spirit that even comes close. There are many spirits. There's billions and trillions. That's why people worship so many different gods. But there's only one holy set apart spirit, the spirit of God, the third person of the triune Godhead. And we get to experience his ministry now on earth and he wants to heal God's people.
He wants to heal the broken hearted. He wants to bind up their wounds. He wants to reveal Christ, the healing power of Christ to many so that they would be in relationship with their heavenly father to bring glory to him. Amen. So healing is not just so he can be nice. It's because he's in love with you and he wants to reveal himself to you so you can experience him, know he's real and follow him. Amen. I had an incurable disease for nine years, came to Christ and God healed me supernaturally. Amongst many other miracles he did in my life, my wife had breast cancer for three and a half years. We just found out recently after the three and a half years of suffering that she's fully healed. And that was like a month ago or two. And you would think that we are just so fixated on just the healing. But to be honest, when me and my wife speak, we realize now that the three and a half years of God working on our hearts, renewing our mind with his word, that is actually more valuable than the healing itself. Because now we know God's word is true in a different area, a level of dimension of faith. So we can not only in our own household believe that and see that as a real thing in our lives, but also pray for others so they can experience it too. Some of you are contending for healing. Some of you are contending for your marriage to be restored. Some of you are contending for your family members to be saved. Always remember that the process before the manifestation of the blessing is always more valuable. God wants you to learn through the process who he is and so it can become a reality. just blessed me i started crying i was so blessed so i'm gonna let him take it from here and then we're gonna play the video amen how's everybody feeling feel good hey i just want to thank god for the praise that breaks out in this house because that praise is from gratitude people that were in bondage that are now set free it's not it's not hype trust me it's because we've experienced his goodness hallelujah come on so yeah like like pastor rich was just saying um i was on a q a last thursday and i was having people come on and the woman of god came and she testified and she was just in tears as she was explaining to me this powerful encounter that she had i don't even know how long ago but it was rich had short hair at the time that's how long ago it was but she was testifying of how he prayed for her her her niece four years old stage four leukemia and for those that don't know leukemia is it's in the bones and if you're young or you're old it's fatal if you're too young you won't survive the chemo if you're too old you won't survive the chemo so we're gonna play this video and i want you guys to see the goodness of god and what he's doing here in this house and through the digital spaces amen come on hit the lights and let's go ahead and watch that together hi everybody my name is estera and this is my brother emmy hello and we have a testimony to share with you of how the lord um healed my niece his daughter autumn of stage four cancer and i'll let my brother give your deeper testimony hello brothers and sisters i'm gonna tell you basically how my story started uh it basically started in uh february 2023 um we decided we made a pact with god that day me and my wife that we wanted to get closer to god up until then uh you know we were chasing the earthly things and had the money the cars um you know i was addicted to porn i was addicted to drinking i was addicted to drugs and uh you know just living life i grew up in a christian family uh but we kind of drifted away over the years instead of chasing god we you know got carried away and uh fell out of out of faith basically um but literally we know that day god uh came into our life and when we made that pact a week or two later we found out my dad had a stroke we didn't know if he was gonna make it uh you know we started praying everything was good he started getting better four months later after that i got in a really bad car accident i was not supposed to make it out of life um so the devil was really after he was he was after me yeah a couple months after that four months to be specific we found out that my daughter has stage four cancer we were you know we were broken uh me and my wife but literally we know that god has a plan for everything and then one day esther came down uh and i'll let her take over from from there
yeah so i was in the lsor which was the group at the time for pastor rage and we were having live zooms for bible studies or q a's so i holy spirit put it in my heart to go down in phoenix that day which was i believe was on a monday to have pastor which pray for her he had no idea that he was going to do that so we drove to phoenix we got to the hospital like literally two minutes before the zoom call started and i chatted in the box the past rich if he could pray for autumn and he he was like of course let's do it i got the hospital right now and i was just watching the video of it yesterday and you know he's like he just took authority over the over whatever was tormenting autumn he started commanding that spirit of cancer to leave in jesus name full healing over her body in jesus name and we just knew that in that moment she's she was completely clean completely cured completely healed in the mighty name of jesus we felt it we knew it i mean it was so deeply rooted in our faith we just knew that that the lord did a miracle and after that like ever since that day you know she was she was doing really well everything started progressing in a better way you know in meantime we saw kids with the same cancer pass away like three or four different kids passed away at the same phoenix children's hospital with the same type of cancer you know but we knew that our gods got us Uh, we knew he has a plan for us and, uh, she's been almost two years clean now. Hallelujah. God is completely clean from cancer. There's no sign of the diagnosis, nothing. She's completely clean. Her hair is growing back. She's beautiful. And not just that Pastor Rich prophesied over her that she's going to be a mighty evangelist to the nations. So we just knew in that moment that the Lord healed her and that she's going to be used for his kingdom and not just that to turn our life around. So being, being a part of the RROC, being a part of the SOR, it has been a blessing, a tremendous blessing, not just to teach me how to walk in this supernatural and in the spiritual, but to see healings happening and being encouraged to step out there and share the gospel of Jesus Christ has been a tremendous, tremendous
blessing. The Lord gets all the glory for this. And we just thank him. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts. And we also thank the remnant Revival Outreach Center, our family, that they prayed for Adam, that they stayed in faith for Adam. And we just give God all the glory for everything that he has done. And through that, just want to put it out there. My wife got saved and four of my brothers got saved. So praise the Lord. Amen. He's still working in our lives. So thank you guys for everything. And God bless you all. And let's give Jesus some praise in the house of God, man. That's powerful. Hallelujah. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Man, that blessed me. That blessed me so much. After she released it, I was like, man, we got to tell somebody about this. Like, this is crazy. And, you know, we set the whole thing up. And, you know, as I was preparing for this, this giving message, who's ready to give on to the house of God? Who's ready to give on to the house of God, man?
As I was preparing for this giving message, the Lord was showing me, he was like, you see, this is what people are giving on to. This is what you're giving on to. Everybody say seed. The seed can be multiplied. Everybody say ground. In John 13, in the parable of the sower, Jesus is teaching us that there's different types of soils and every soil can reap a different harvest. And the Lord was showing me that the rock is good soil. Everybody say good soil. The rock is good soil. Everybody say that. The rock is good soil. This is what we're giving on to. You see, in John 12, Jesus describes a seed and he tells you that the seed must die. It must die in order to multiply. That the minute that that seed leaves, it stops being a seed. It breaks and it becomes something else. And when you give your currency, whatever you're giving on to the house of God, in that moment, it dies and it becomes something else. It goes from currency to miracles. Because you guys are partnering with us to make things like this happen. I want everybody to stand to their feet. We're going to give with holy reverence on to God. We're going to give and we're going to plant seeds in this soil. And we know that the seed that we're planting is going to die and it's going to multiply on to something that you don't even know. I want to thank everybody that partners with us. Everyone that sows into this ministry.
Everybody that sows online. I just want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, from leadership, from everybody of the congregation. Because you guys partnering with us, partnering with God and his will is what makes things like this possible. In Jesus' name. So let's just pray. In the name of Jesus. To know that their seed is dying and it's multiplying and they don't even know what they're sowing into. They don't know the miracles that come out of them partnering with us, Father. I don't even wanna look at my notes. I just wanna preach, but man, God is so good. When I got that text message that my wife prayed for somebody in the lobby and they gave up crutches, and the testimony from over, you know, over who knows where, I don't even know where they're at, from SOR, I just know that God is, he's speaking when he starts moving. When we start experiencing a dimension of God or a characteristic of God, we gotta press in, because he wants to do something. The Holy Spirit is like the wind that goes to and fro, right? You can't see the wind, but you can see the wind moving. When the wind hits a tree, when the wind hits a leaf,
or when the wind touches your body, you know the wind is there, but you can't see the wind. That's how the kingdom of God is. When the Holy Spirit starts moving, you'll see in the physical manifestations of the kingdom through whatever God wants to do, whether it's healing, prophecy, souls being saved, the love of God being poured out in an atmosphere, people getting, encountering deliverance, whatever it is, but when God starts moving, we wanna press in, steward that, because God wants to, he wants to show up and show out. God is a God that likes to show up and show out. If he wasn't, he would've never sent his son. Jesus showed up and showed out. Jesus did not heal people or cast devils out in a little, small, tucked away, private room. He did it in public. He did it in public for everybody to see. And the multitudes followed him because of the power he demonstrated. That is the kingdom of God. We come in demonstration and power. Everyone say power. Power. This whole week, I've been meditating on feelings. The Lord's been speaking to me about feelings and how some people follow every feeling they feel and it leads them all over the place. Also, how the word and God's presence
can also give us a feeling and how we have to be aware of that. And just how feelings and the heart and the mind all kind of play together or come together. And I prepared a nice message, a teaching. I'm gonna try to stay put and get through this so we can go through all the scriptures. But again, I believe that tonight, God's gonna keep on moving and we're gonna keep on seeing power on display, demonstration, amen? So whether you came here to give your life to Christ, whether you wanna come up again for healing, deliverance, whether you wanna get baptized, God is gonna demonstrate his power here tonight like he does every Sunday because he loves his people and he dwells here. I love the fact that God dwells here. Because if he's not dwelling here, we wouldn't see a manifestation of the kingdom. Somebody told you your feelings would lie to you and they were half right. Your feelings will lie to you, but your feelings can also testify. The problem is nobody ever caught the difference. So you learn to distrust the very instrument God gave you to hear him with. We've been taught to be suspicious of everything happening on the inside of us. Don't trust your heart, don't follow your feelings.
Emotions are deceptive. And listen, some of that is true. But here's what nobody said. The same God who warned you about your heart is the God who wrote his law on it. So tonight, I wanna talk to you about the language of the spirit because the Holy Spirit is not silent. He's not silent. He is speaking. The only question is whether you've learned to understand or read him. The Holy Spirit has a vocabulary. When God wants to describe his own presence, he reaches for a word that means breath. He reaches for a word that means breath. So in Hebrew, it's the word ruach. And in Greek, it's the word pneuma. Same picture, wind, breath, spirit. And when he moves, he likes to leave fingerprints. Paul tells us exactly what they look like, Galatians. Chapter five, verse 22. But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law. Notice, Paul doesn't call it the works of the Holy Spirit. He calls it the fruit. Works you manufacture, fruit you grow. And fruit has a taste.
Love has a flavor, joy has a flavor, peace has a flavor. These aren't just behaviors you perform on the outside. They are evidences you experience on the inside. So when love rises in you for somebody, that you have no natural reason to love, that's not your personality. That's a word being spoken. So when joy shows up in a season that should have buried you, That's not denial, that's an actual language. When peace guards you in a storm, that should have you shaking, the Holy Spirit just said something. The fruit of the Spirit is not just how you behave, it's actually how God speaks. The fruit of the Spirit is not how you behave, it's God speaking through you because you're so filled with him. Me loving somebody that I shouldn't is not me being a nice person where you glorify me. That's the evidence that God is in me, filling me, and the overflow or the fruit that people get to taste, again, is not my personality, it's God's word coming alive. God's word comes alive in our lives so other people can experience him. How many of you guys go to Starbucks every single morning? Be honest, don't be scared. It's okay. You know when you go to Starbucks to the same drive-thru or the same person, maybe you,
I like to go to the drive-thru when I go to coffee shops, I don't like to go, I like to just go to the drive-thru. You know when you go somewhere repeatedly, you start seeing that same person every time? Every Saturday, me and my wife and my family, we have like a little tradition. We wake up and we go to Foxtail, and I'm not gonna tell you where because then some of y'all will show up and ruin it for us. We go to a specific Foxtail and we get these, not gonna say the name of it, but these breakfast sandwiches that are really good and they're only sold at that Foxtail, okay? So we have like a tradition. My wife started it with the kids. Every morning they wake up and they say the name of the breakfast sandwich, like, let's go, let's go. And we see the same girl every time at the window. And we get there and we're ordering, because I got four kids, ordering like seven sandwiches, and they know us as the multigrain family because we get multigrain bagels. And I remember when I was ordering this past Saturday, she's like, how can I help you? I'm like, we'd like, you know, seven multigrain, and I could just feel it. She's like, okay, anything else, anything else? And I got to the window and I'm like, y'all know us as like that family that comes on Saturday. She's like, yeah, you guys are known as the multigrain fam.
And I'm just like, okay, cool, just loving on her. But I knew at that moment I have a choice. I can get in the flesh or guard myself and be like, she works here, she gets paid, she should be more loving. I'm a paying customer, forget her, and give her the cold shoulder and treat her away because she just came at me and my entire family for ordering for my business. But instead I realized she just needs love. So I started cracking jokes. In the beginning, she wasn't laughing, but then eventually she started laughing. Eventually she started opening up and smiling and realizing that I was genuinely trying to make her laugh and I wanted her to experience God's love. And she knows me, she knows my wife. We've already tried to preach to God. We've preached the gospel to her. She knows we're Christians, but she's watching how we move when she's treating us a type of way. It's, bro, like, as Christians, we are the example of Jesus. And how we make somebody feel actually matters. How we make somebody feel is God's word coming alive. And we can't do it unless we're filled with him. So I can't conjure that up. I've tried that before in moments where I tried to be loving in my own strength. It doesn't work. It always fails. Eventually I snap or eventually I don't love
the way I should have and I have to repent and go back to the drawing board. God, I need your presence. God, I need your word so I can pour out to others. This is why the secret place is so important. It's vital. Every day we wake up in the morning, we have to get in God's presence because there are people that can experience his presence through us. It's not just for us to experience God, but it's also for others. How many times have you been so engulfed in the atmosphere of God, his presence, the Holy Spirit, that you just wanna love every single person you lay your eyes on? You walk into Wawa or Walmart and you're just looking at people and you're just looking at them straight in their eyes like, oh, you're so amazing. You don't even know them. You ever done that? They think you're weird. You're just looking at them, man, you're so awesome. And they're checking out at the register like, this guy's weird, bro. I get that look like, is he gay? And I'm like. I'm not gay. I'm married, bruh. Start prophesying over them, speaking life over them, speaking their calling,
and they just, it makes people uncomfortable because we're in a world where people are so used to hate. We're in a world, bruh, where, come on, let's be real. Growing up, weren't you used to that? Where you got to get tough and you got to adapt and now you got to act a certain way, guard yourself, and you start doing it to others and it's like a war and the only people that you love or show any type of love to are the people that show love to you, but in the kingdom it's not that. The kingdom is loving people who don't love you. It's super easy to love somebody who loves you. Jesus spoke about that in the gospels. If someone, if right now, if someone blesses me with a hundred dollars, it's real easy to say thank you, man. It's so amazing, like, can I pray for you? It's easy to do that, but what about the person who steals a hundred dollars from you? What about the person who gossips about me and then I see them the next day? What about the person who doesn't like me at all, persecutes me? The Bible says to bless and pray for those who persecute you and who use you, who despitefully use you. What type, what type of like one plus one is this? It doesn't add up. I gotta pray for those who despitefully use me. What? Do you know what it means to be despitefully used? It's not just an occasional, occasional, oh, like, can you give me some advice, Pastor Rich? Okay, bye. No, I'm talking about despitefully, like literally planning, knowing, and continuously using me for something that I have without caring about my feelings. It hurts, and there's no way that we can love these people unless we're filled with the love of God. You can fake it one or two times in the flesh, but eventually you're gonna start feeling some type of way, and then you'll justify it, because I've done this, with discernment and isolate or get away from the person in the name of they got a demon. I feel the Holy Spirit. Some of y'all in here have been doing that with your own family members and friends. You've been, in the name of discernment, treating your family or friends a certain type of way, saying they got a demon, but really you got bitterness in your heart. We have to be so filled with the love of God that what somebody does to you cannot affect you. That's real, like, come on, listen to me, though. That's called, that's being a real spiritual gangster. When someone comes at me and I'm so engulfed with the love of God, you can't affect me, and as a matter of fact, I'm gonna love you. I'm not even gonna let what you do make me speak ill about you, because even in the moment, through interaction and conversation, we can act real loving, but then later on start talking about the person to make us feel better. How many times have we done it? Be real. I've done it. Act a certain way, act like we're bearing the fruit of the
spirit, but then we leave, and now it's like da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da about the person. Doesn't gossip make you feel good in the flesh? Doesn't it almost, like, justify or almost, like, like, like, like, solve the issue that you were feeling during that conversation? When that atmosphere was hitting you, you know what's, you know what was happening? The atmosphere that person was carrying was hitting you so hard that later on you had to justify it through another atmosphere that's not of God, and usually it's that same atmosphere they were carrying that now you carry. What atmosphere are we supposed to walk in, body of Christ? The atmosphere of love, the atmosphere of peace, the atmosphere of joy. Can we do that by just, by just saying it, like, I carry love, joy, and peace? No, we have to get filled with love, joy, and peace. We have to be poured into by God with so much of his presence that it's so natural we can, we're not affected. Some of you right now are dealing with unforgiveness, and all you need to do is be filled with his love. It's when I got filled with his love that I forgave the people who wronged me when I was in the world. It's when I got filled with his love that I was able to pray for those who despitefully used me or, or to bless those who persecute me. In the moment during persecution or during, during a situation, it's real easy to fight back the wrong way, but it's real hard to run to the secret place and cry in God's presence until you get filled with his love so much that you ascend. In order to ascend in the spirit, you have to get over the feelings. In order for you, for God to take you higher in the spirit, you have to get out of the thoughts of the days. of the day, all the things that you're going through, all the situations you're going through, all the storms you're going through, you can't get into God's presence unless you cast those cares upon him or bring it to the altar in that secret place, in that consecrated place, that meeting place. You have to give it to God in order for him to take you higher like an eagle. And then that's when those things that you're going through mean nothing.
And that's the place where he pours into you. And takes you even higher. And then you begin to pray for them. And then the intercession ends and he takes you even higher. And then you can't even speak because his love is so overwhelming, all you can do is cry. You can't even say a word. And you realize what got you into this place is not even on your mind anymore. What brought me to this closet doesn't even matter. It was all about ascending in him, being taken higher in his presence. The things of the world will never satisfy us. The things of the world should never be what we depend on. Do they bring feelings? In the world when you drank alcohol or smoked or fornicated or whatever, video games, did they bring good feelings? Yes, they did. But did they take you higher? No, they did not. You would get lower and lower and lower and lower. You would feel like you're dying and dying spiritually and dying and as you got older, remember how exciting it was to get to leave high school and finally be alone? Some of you are 17 in here or 18.
Remember how exciting it was when you were 18, a senior in high school and you were like, man, I'm about to go, I'm done with school, I can do whatever I want, I'm about to turn up. I'm partying. I remember those three years, 18, 19, four, 21, I mean, it kept going till 29, but those three years, I turned up. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, every day. Every day we're getting a bottle, every day we're getting, we're partying, we're doing every, we're going all out chasing feelings. And as the years went by, these feelings became less and less satisfactory, less and less desirable, more and more emptiness, more and more depression. Now I gotta take it to the next level with the enemy and start doing other things now because I can't have the same fix or feeling from the things that used to make me so excited when I was 17. This is what happens. The whole world's chasing feelings when we don't have to do anything but get in his presence to feel the best. If we, look at this, listen to this. If our life is not complete in him, if our contentness does not come from him, anything else will take us out.
Why do you think the Apostle Paul said, through much, through little, through storms, through shipwrecks, through beatings, all these things he went through, it didn't shift him from what he was called to do. Why, is it because he's such a tough guy? Was it because the Apostle Paul was stronger than you? No, it was because he depended on God so much that whatever he went through did not shift him because he was content. You wanna know how you overcome the sin pattern? It's not by looking at the sin and saying, I'm not gonna do it. It's by getting filled with so much of his love that that thing means nothing anymore. I'm trying to tell you, I'm giving you the formula. As someone who was addicted to too much, as someone who was addicted to every drug under the sun, all the evil, I loved it. My flesh loved it, I was dedicated to it, I needed it. Every single day, nobody's stopping me. My parents couldn't stop me, my family couldn't stop me, my friends couldn't stop me. I was that guy that my friends would be worried about and they were wild. I was that guy where my friends would be like, man, he's not gonna make it. But when I met Jesus, when Jesus came into that apartment all alone and he revealed himself to me by his presence
and I encountered one and I tasted one time of his goodness, of his love, I realized this is what I've actually been looking for my entire life. This is it. I know many people come here and they wonder, is this guy really a follower, a radical believer? real one for real is it all for the clicks and likes and videos and you come here and you see oh my god god is really here wow they really love god it's not just him it's a culture of other radical on fire people and you wonder some of you wonder how how do they how do they get to that point is it just because they're just more special than everyone no that's why god takes the most broken thrown to the ground rejected the ones who nobody expected the fishermen and prostitutes the drug dealers and witches the ones that nobody expects he loves to take them and turn them out what is love yeah turn them out because then when the same people who knew the old them sees the change they'll wonder how and that wonder leads to people getting saved that's when the life of the person the new born again believer who's been filled with the love of god becomes such a light that other people who are in darkness come to the light because they look and they say if god can do it with him if god can do it with her she was once stripping in downtown orlando or orlando and now she's a woman of god if god could do it with him he was once a gang member and now he's one of the most loving people i know if god can do it with them and i was listen and and i'm not even as bad as they were he can do it with me the wisdom of god the wisdom of god he shows no partiality i won't say thank you jesus all right let's go deeper because feelings themselves are not enough feelings are the surface of the water there's something underneath and paul calls it the witness romans chapter 8 verse 16 the spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of god the spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that idea of witness is two voices agreeing his spirit and your spirit signing the same document and there's a new testament word for what the agreement produces it's the word pelorifia i'm not pronouncing it right but it's a greek word and it means full assurance full conviction to be carried all the way completely persuaded this is the
difference between a feeling and a witness a feeling can be loud and shallow a witness can be quiet and deep a feeling says i'm excited a witness says i know that i know that i know you felt that before that settled thing in your gut that no argument could move that's not emotion that's him that's the holy spirit a feeling asks how you feel a witness tells you what is true when i came to christ nobody could understand it when i came to christ my friends and family could not understand it the friends i was drug dealing with thought i went fed the girls i was messing with thought i went crazy my own brother looked at me and said wait till you find out jesus isn't real my parents thought it was just a phase people i grew up with seeing me make facebook posts online thought i was that was rich who's just going crazy it's just a phase he needs to go to a mental ward he needs to go to a psych ward he needs to go whatever they thought everything in the world but there was a witness inside of me there was something in me and i could discern what people were thinking but i knew they don't understand and i knew this is a forever thing you ask my wife she'll tell you there was a point in our marriage a few months say where she had to even make that decision because she knew this is a forever thing for real in the beginning my wife wanted to just be normal christians who go to church come home have a family work and just be normal she wanted that but then there was a moment where she realized this is serious either i really stay with this guy and i'm gonna have to do this forever this is before the platform this is before anybody even knew who the rack was anything she had to make a decision without even knowing what was going to happen to follow me as i follow christ or separate but there was a witness Inside of her there was something in her that gave her that i know that i know that i know that i know I just saw my husband go from drug dealing witchcraft wilding out to now wanting to evangelize all the time But i know that i know that i know that i know that this is real Because she encountered the presence of god because she encountered jesus herself personally Some of y'all praying for your husbands or wife to be lit up lit up on fire Pray that there would be an internal witness that comes from encounter that would change their life Pray that they would encounter Listen to this. We got to stop praying so shallow man I don't I don't want people to just to be saved. I want people to be lit up on fire and save others Listen to this This is where I man like that young girl I knew and I prayed over her and god healed her I was like man
She's gonna have a testimony. She's gonna be a mighty evangelist the lord was speaking to me And I just knew that I knew that I knew that I knew God, this is not just for her to get healed because you're nice You you want to give her a testimony that other people can encounter later on? God doesn't just save people because he doesn't want them to go to hell We think that god is like that like god is just saving souls So that people just don't go to hell He saves you because he has an assignment and a destiny and a purpose for you He doesn't just want you to make it to heaven go to church on sundays and just be a Christian who sits in the pews and just listens to a guy preach but lives a lukewarm lifestyle No, we've seen too much of that and that's called religion That's called religion Show up the church in your sunday best sit in the pews do whatever you want monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday But on sunday look and play the part Smile and put your hands up and go home and do you know that is not what jesus died on the cross for That's not what he went up on that cross with the stripes on his back with the crown of thorns in his head With the holes in his wrists and feet he did not die on that cross so you could be in the pews lukewarm That's not what he died for He died because he loves you and he has a purpose for you and he created you for his glory And some of you're like well, that's mean he created me for his glory Guess what what he has purpose for you is the most enjoyable thing you'll ever experience in this lifetime I know this because he's god You think you're going to be bored in christ His purpose is the thing you've actually been looking for think about this you've been chasing everything else unfulfilled You chase the things of god that fulfillment will increase and increase but the contentness comes from him And you'll get to experience and walk in things that you can never imagine knowing that it's him doing it through you My wife came to me We were in the back before I came up here to preach and she's telling me about the kid that got healed with the crutches She said that she was she was somewhere And the children I forgot where she was the children's ministry and she heard the holy spirit say
Your husband's looking for you out on the hallway. She came I was nowhere to be found. I wasn't even here yet And she was like, huh, but then as she was walking she saw the kid with the crutches And she knew this is what god brought me out here for Prayed for him. He gets healed and she's like I couldn't understand it. I don't get it I said, you know what you realized that it wasn't you healing. It was really him It was actually him it wasn't you We've all done it If you ever operated in the supernatural, you know what i'm talking about First started casting out devils. I thought it was me and I would scream louder or hit people in the name of jesus I think that that was gonna do something Thank god for his grace But he started teaching me. It's not even about how loud you get It's simply by your faith and my grace I give you authority and grace by your faith in my word and I move through you But it's him who delivers and it's him who heals amen Everyone say feelings Let's continue Look at this And now here's where here's the good news. Look at this right your spiritual senses can actually be trained Look at this in the book of hebrews chapter 5 verse 14 I love this but solid food belongs to those who are full of age That is those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil So that word in the greek It means organs of perception The faculties you sense with and notice what? but sharpens them, use. Discernment is not a gift you wait for.
It is a muscle you build, you exercise it. You become fluent by using what you have until you can tell the difference in the dark. Everyone say discernment. So being able to discern what's good, what's evil, it comes through the use of that gift like a muscle exercising it. The greatest training I've ever experienced when it comes to discernment is evangelism. Going out to reach the lost, getting denied, turned down, a word of knowledge wrong, someone not healed, someone not delivered, arguments, almost fighting people. Realizing I could have done this better, Holy Spirit show me and he trains me and I get stronger. Evangelism is one of the greatest training methods to grow in discernment. Because when you're put on the spot in front of somebody, you gotta do something about it. People don't just wanna hear scriptures yelled at them, they wanna see something supernatural. People aren't giving their life to Christ because you can quote Romans 10, nine. They're giving their life to Christ when they experience power that leads to a feeling. So when you're put on the spot and you desperately wanna see him saved like God wants to see him saved, you start tapping in to the gifts of the Spirit by faith, his grace, and then you start seeing
the manifest power of God flowing through you. People say how do you get words of knowledge? How do you do that? I do it because I've been training that gift of discernment for years, nonstop, everywhere I go, to the point where it becomes normal. To the point where it becomes normal to hear God's voice and get a word of knowledge. To the point where it becomes normal to lay hands on someone and them get healed. I don't freak out about it, I don't trip, I don't get nervous anymore. I used to, but I had to go out there and train. Think about the first time you ever went to the gym and everybody around you is bigger than you. Or everybody around you is more in shape than you. They got the workout gear on, they got the shaker bottles with the brand name on it, and you came looking crazy. Have no plan, nothing to do, and everybody's moving and grooving, going from station to station, and you're just walking around, don't even know how to do a bicep curl. Wouldn't you feel nervous? But then eventually what happens? You start to look up videos or research or ask a friend or ask people in the gym, and eventually it becomes normal to you
because you've been exercising. You've been training up. Growing in evangelism is not just going to a conference even though those things are powerful, it's actually going and doing it. That's when you'll flow in the gift of prophecy and you'll train that gift up, you'll start flowing in healing, train that gift up, start flowing in the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, train those gifts up, the gift of faith, train those gifts up. We have to exercise the gifts that God has given us and stop doubting that they're even in us. That's the problem. People will doubt that God has even given them that gift because they're not seeing it manifest in their life because of doubt, and now they think it's not for me, it's for them. Not knowing that God, the Father of lights, gives every good gift to his children and wants you to have and covet the best gifts. You don't think that God wants you to go reach his people and also experience him while you're doing it? You don't think that God pleases your heavenly father? You don't think he's smiling down on you when you're out there witnessing to people about Jesus, even though you might not even be able to give the gospel like the next person or the next person, you go out there and try your best? You don't think your father's saying,
good job, son, good job, daughter, well, go back and do it again? You think God's saying, oh, you're not good enough, you need to go to theology school for the next seven years? Theology school's great, but theology school without experience is religion. A bunch of knowledge, no Holy Spirit. Knowledge puffs up, knowledge kills, the Spirit gives life. Theology school without the Holy Spirit and experience with God intimately can lead to actual bondage. And now you're putting other people in that same bondage because of unbelief. Everyone say feelings. Philippians 4.7, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus. So let's get this practical. If the Spirit has a language. than something else does too. Your flesh has a language. The enemy has a language, and the noise of your own circumstances has a language. They will all try to talk over God, so how do you tell the difference? In Philippians 4, 7, peace that surpasses all understanding. Watch that phrase. That's the tell. Counterfeit peace makes sense.
It shows up when the account is filled, and the diagnosis is clean, and everybody likes you, but the peace of God shows up when nothing adds up, when by every natural measure, you should be falling apart, and instead, something is guarding your heart. If your peace only exists when your circumstances cooperate, that's not the Holy Spirit. That's just comfort. The Spirit's peace can stand in a fire. So you're praying for healing, and you have no peace, and then you get the healing, and now you have peace because you're healed. You didn't learn or experience God rightly through the process. For three and a half years, my wife dealing with breast cancer, we still continue to labor, not because of our own strength, but because of the peace that God gave us as we cried out to him every single time. I was talking to a brother a few days ago, and I said, I know a true man of God, a true mature man of God by three things. Number one, encounters with God. If I talk to a man of God or a woman of God, and they have no encounters,
I'm talking about men and women who say they know him or they've been with him, they have no encounters with God, they probably don't know him. Number two, spiritual warfare. If you have no scars, no blood on your face, no battle wounds, and everything is just great, fine and dandy, nah, you probably don't know him. And number three, I wanna hear your mistakes. Where have you fell short and learned? Because if you have no mistakes, you're probably self-righteous and don't know him. Three things. This life in Christ is gonna get crazy. This life in Christ is gonna get wild. This life in Christ is gonna, you're gonna look at the physical and be like, what is going on? And the only thing that will anchor you in Christ will be his presence. We'll be reading his word, worship and prayer. You wanna get to that place. You wanna get to the place where he's everything to you for real, for real. Where you're not just singing about it, but you're experiencing it. You can know every worship song and have no experience in revelation behind what you're singing.
The song can sound good, you can like the sound, but you're not worshiping in spirit and in truth. Someone who worships in spirit and truth has history and revelation behind what they're singing. As they sing the worship song, the words hit different because they're going through. Remember in the world, some of y'all used to love Drake. Why did y'all love Drake? Because every lyric he was giving, you can relate to it. Or most of them, bad breakup issues, heartbreaks, partying and clubbing, you can relate to it and it would hit different. Because you can actually relate to it, but that was for the devil. Now in Christ, we gotta be real. I look for worship songs I can relate to. And when I can connect with that ladder, it's a ladder. When I can connect with that ladder, I will binge that song for the next two years. One person that I listened to, and every time I listen to his worship, it feels fresh every time it's Jeremy Riddle. Some of you probably don't even know who he is. That's personal to me. Every single song he sings, there's a ladder on it. I can be in my car, encounter the Lord in my car weeping because there's a ladder, because this man, what he's actually singing, he's living. And because I'm connecting with that in my heart,
I'm experiencing what he's experiencing. A man who has more history with God than myself, I can tap in to that same ladder because I understand in my heart feelings. And then I go from being overwhelmed and burdened to now lifted off, weeping in God's presence, not because my circumstances suck, but because God is that good. That's, it's not worship when you're crying because everything in your life is falling. That's not worship. Worship is only Him. It's Jesus. It's looking at Him and beholding Him in such a way that the Holy Spirit brings light on, that it just, everything, well, everything else fades away. How many of y'all can say you wanna get deeper in that area? To where He becomes everything. You know what begins to happen as you cultivate that? You become addicted to His presence. You become a glory carrier, addicted to it. All you want is Jesus because you know you gonna get everything you need. I always say this, that's why the Bible says, don't get drunk off of wine, but there's a new wine. Why would the scriptures talk about the Holy Spirit in that way? Because the Holy Spirit can make you feel like nothing else matters.
Think about when you're drunk off of alcohol and wine for those who have been. Don't you feel like you're numb and nothing else matters? You're going through all these things and you're drunk and then you're in the club, but it's killing you. And the next morning you wake up and you're hungover and you're worse than what you were before. And now what do you have to do? Drink again. But in Christ, there's no hangover. There's only overflow. Think about that. I don't wake up hungover. I wake up feeling joy and love and peace, wanting more. I wake up feeling healthy. I wake up feeling blessed. I wake up feeling joy. I wake up wanting to be a great father to my children. I wake up looking at my wife saying, I love you so much, kissing her without her even brushing her teeth. I don't care because I'm so filled with the love of God. I wake up and I only sleep a few hours and I'm not tripping. Let's go to the park with my kids. Let's go to this leadership meeting. Let's go do this and do that. So where people in my church, they have to come to me and say, Rich, you need to rest. And I actually have to take heat. And okay, I'll slow down a little bit.
I'm energized and I'm turned up in the spirit because he pours into me. I need him. I'll pull over my car to get in the presence of God if I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'll stop driving and stop everything I'm doing, pull into a Walmart parking lot, park in the back, put my truck, whatever that thing's called, and so that nobody sees me because I'm about to be crying and I'll start worshiping God. Get in his glory, back on the road. Some of y'all used to, let's be honest. How many of y'all used to love marijuana? Be real. Come on, right? Remember how you used to get high before everything you did? Why'd you used to get high? I was just talking to Pastor Benji about that last night. He was saying, he was like, I used to be a pothead. He's like, I got this guy in our church high. He said, I got Fred high for his first time. I got his brother high for the first time. He's like all these things because Benji wanted to feel good and high and suited and all these things with everything he did, he was looking for a feeling. But now that he doesn't smoke weed, he can't stop being in God's presence to the point where he's up till two or three in the morning worshiping and praising God because now that's his new high. He doesn't need weed.
God is satisfying every area of his being in his body and soul to the point where Benji's not going to the secret place, like I guess I gotta pray today. He's excited to where he's leaving his wife in bed at three in the morning, leaving his kids, tiptoeing into his closet to pray and worship Jesus for the next two hours and sacrifice sleep because he knows I'm gonna feel amazing. My day's gonna be overflowing with joy, overflowing with peace. Yeah, I might be a little bit tired, but God, I'm gonna be walking in his glory. I'm trying to help y'all because some of y'all are dealing with a sin pattern and you want to break it and you want to come to this altar and get deliverance and yes, deliverance is real, but being delivered without being filled leads back to more bondage. That's why Jesus said like you have to get the house filled. You get a devil, cast it out, amen. Now get filled with God's presence in his word. Break the strongholds that led you into deception. Get filled with the presence that gives you satisfaction. You want the foundation? Pray. Read worship When should we be doing it a body of Christ The Bible says daily bread every day. Oh, man, that's boring. It's boring right now And so you start cultivating that and realize this is everything Just think about it. Yeah, I'm gonna wrap this up. My son Richard is very picky with food Everything I get cuz I'm a foodie. I don't I'm not picky at all everything I get I show he's like dad. What's that?
I say try this How does chicken wrap today a chicken wrap from this uh, this vegans are not vegan obviously chicken, but like it's like nature's table It's called nature's table. It's like a like a healthy spot. It looks super healthy. My son's like, what is that? I said try it. He's like, but my son Jeremiah comes down. What is that? Okay bites it. He looks at Jeremiah. Is it good? It's good. And then my daughter Salah comes. Let me get some bites it no hesitation He's watching all of them and he goes, okay dad. I'll try it and he said he goes. Oh, this is good Some of you are like Richard right now Is it really that good Is this presence really that sweet? I'm here to tell you it's good. It's good. It's good. Yeah You go you'll be so turned out man, your life will never be the same Be a walking glory carrier how many all of the glory of God I do have a long the message is longer, but I feel that to just continue flowing in this way But the Lord wants me to ask who in here has been feeling dry who in here has been feeling like you're in a desert Like you're not filled with the glory of God like you're not filled with this this thing I'm talking about be honest Okay, you know what happens when you get filled with God's glory in his word you begin to transform I'm gonna give you guys a recipe. I'm gonna give you guys a remedy I've learned that when I speak to people about something they need to change from right? I'll give you the example. Let's say it's a couple that's in fornication. I've learned that by me trying to convince them here Sometimes it'll work and sometimes it doesn't a lot of times it actually doesn't But I've learned that once they understand how to get in God's presence and his word the Holy Spirit begins to convict them even more The Holy Spirit starts to transform them As I got filled and filled with the Spirit after my first born born again encounter when I got it when I was born again The more I got filled the more I wanted to repent The more I got filled with his love the more I wanted to change the more I wanted to break things the more I wanted to be set apart you can't want to be set apart unless you know that he's real and The knowing that he's real it increases from faith to faith and glory to glory The Bible says the size of a mustard seed amen, but then it eventually grows and becomes one of the largest trees in the garden Bearing the most fruit that's how the kingdom is
Even the disciples when Jesus before his ascension into heaven They there was 11 because Judas killed himself and there and the Bible says some of them still doubted and they were looking at Jesus With the holes in his hands and feet and they still doubted but God still commissioned them Because God knew that they had enough faith to keep going and they'd be I God doesn't want you to feel condemned. He wants you to be hungry So right now you might feel dry, but you can be hungry. The Bible says it's daily bread. Are you hungry? How desperate are you all are you for Jesus? How desperate are you for encounter? Are you thirsting of his righteousness? Do you want more of Christ or is this religion? So right now I'm giving that dividing a dividing line and I'm saying come on the side of encounter and experience where what he makes you feel is everything to you and Separate yourself from getting good feelings from the world The video games will never satisfy you. I Say that for some of you in here the video games give you a quick dopamine fix But then you're gonna need more and more too. So you're playing Call of Duty for six hours. Why are you doing that? You could be reading the Word of God renewing your mind for six hours so you can hear his voice What do you want to be a cod a cod super? I don't even know they call it a call of duty Maniac or do you want to be someone who can hear God's voice in a while? Walmart. Let's get real. Do you wanna be playing from a controller, a false image, like living through a cartoon, a visual, digital thing, or do you want it to be real life in the CVS? Real life at your workplace, real life. Some of y'all love comics and Marvel and all these things, whatever, but bro, you don't have to wait. You can be a superhero now in Christ. Thank you. Thank you.

I remember when these two, Jason and Joe, when they were first coming to the church, it might've been y'all first time, I don't remember. It was a healing service. It was a very intimate service. And I remember telling, I think it was Joe, there was somebody that needed healing. And he was like, watch it. I said, put your hands on him right now. I called him out in the crowd. I said, come here, you, come here, pray for this person. He was like, he prayed, the person got healed. Never been the same since. Encountered, saw that it was real, done. Now he's had so many encounters to where there's an, I know, I know that I know that I know inside of him. There's a witness inside of him where there's nothing that will shift him from following God. Not because he's religious. Stand up, Joe. Does he look religious? I'm just, let's go off a physical image. No, seriously, let's go off a physical image because some of y'all are still there right now.
Does he look like a religious guy that just does all the Christian things? No, if you saw him in the streets, you would think he's an Orlando dude, hooper, athlete, cool looking dude. You would never know that he's in the presence of God every single day weeping because he loves Jesus, right? You would never know. Stand up, Jacob. Look at Jacob. Would you think that this guy loves Jesus? He can't stop talking about Jesus to the point where it gets annoying. He was doing all this art and all this stuff for famous people and was blowing up in whatever industry, crazy testimony, and drove, he would drive all the way from, I think it was New Orleans or something to come here. I remember the first time, bro, I pulled up to the 7-Eleven to get a water. He's walking in front of me and I'm with my kids and I'm walking behind him like, who is this guy? Real artsy, got all these things like trendy things on. Like, who is this guy? He's shaking. Got delivered that night. And he was like, man, you don't even know this, but as you were walking behind me, I could hear you praying in tongues. I'm like, bro, amen, bro.
But he's had so many encounters with God, there's no shifting him. So where driving from New Orleans or wherever he was at wasn't even an issue, he never complained. From Jacksonville now, he drives. And you would never even know. He doesn't come here because of me or somebody, he comes here for Jesus. He's encountering Jesus in such a way, he's turnt out. He's turnt out. Does this make sense? Ariel, the worship leader, came in 2022. We had a revival and from what I heard, she was on her phone, just came because her mom invited her. She was all up in it, all types of stuff, wild. Saw something that where God marked her, had experience with God, made the decision, repented, lit up on fire, been serving faithfully in the church for the last three years. And now finally God brought her to a place where she could be on the altar worshiping. But she's not doing this because she wants to have a microphone or because she wants to be known. She does it because she loves Jesus for real. But this is what it is to be a Christian. Presence ministry versus performance. So if you're hungry for Jesus, listen to me, I'm giving you all these testimonies to encourage you. If you feel dry and you want encounter, come to the altar right now and I'm gonna pray for you.

They're gonna have a secret place encounter right now at this altar. Right now the church is a big old secret place. If you come up here with your heart postured, come up here hungry. If you come up here with your heart postured, listen to me as you're walking up, and for those who are up here, if you come up here with your heart postured for Jesus, and I'm gonna say this, and not me, because some of you, I can see the eyes already. You're looking at me like if he touches me, my life changes. If Jesus touches you, your life changes. You know how many people I pray for, and because they were expecting whatever, and then they get prayed for, they're like, oh, that's it? How many people, I see that they go, oh, whatever, I'm gonna go back to the world, because they thought man can change them. Man can't change you. It's only the Lord, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there's freedom, there's filling. So I want you all at this altar,
we're gonna worship from a place of desperation for Jesus. Does this make sense? Not for God to be touched, not for a man to pray for you, no, desperation for the Lord. And as we worship, can we even dim the lights? Is that even possible, production team? I don't know, to make it like secret place type style? I don't know if we can do this, but let's try. Too much lights, yeah, there we go, make it even darker, so people don't worry about being stared at. So as you weep and cry, you don't care about what people think. And if your heart is postured right now to be filled with God's love, I promise you, you'll have an encounter at this altar. I just feel like the Lord wants us to make a covenant with him tonight. Just an agreement, a binding agreement with him tonight to serve him for the rest of our life no matter what comes. I know some of you were supposed to do that when you were born again or you gave your life to Jesus. I don't care about the ins and outs. Just right now, maybe you came here because you want to come back to following that narrow way as a prodigal son or daughter. Maybe you came to Christ for the first time tonight and you're making that declaration right now. Maybe it's just something fresh you want to do. We're going to go through things in Christ's family. We're going to go through a lot of storms.
We're going to go through a lot of ups and downs. It's going to feel like a roller coaster. But man, I made this promise to God. I actually made a covenant with God when I first came to Christ that no matter what happens on this walk, I don't care what comes. Just always keep me by his grace. Always give me. Give me the desire to seek him more than life itself. I was in Moravian Falls one time. I was with this prophet, prophetess of the Lord, seasoned prophets, real woman of God, and I was in her house. We sat down, she sat across from me, and she prayed over me this. I asked her, I said, can you pray for me after we had a long, great conversation? And she prayed this over me, and she prayed that. I pray that, Father, that Richard would love you more than life itself. And I remember I felt something shift. I felt something shift. And now I know that it's something that God is gonna always help me with. In the times where I might be going left or right, he's gonna bring me back to the narrow because he's gonna always keep his end. God will always keep his end, his promise. I just feel like we need to see that in our heart, and just make a fresh covenant with the Lord,
or maybe it's your first time, maybe it's just something you're just kind of like renewing your vows, whatever it is. Let's make this promise tonight. You guys wanna do it? Yes. In his presence. Some of you might be new in the faith, some of you might be seasoned in the faith. Let's just see this rightly. So I want you guys to just declare this scripture with me. Okay, as I read it, I want you to read it with me. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourself this day whom you will serve, whether the gods of your ancestors serve beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Emirates and whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, but as for me and my household, but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24, 15. Say Jesus, we make this promise, and we ask at the same time that you will keep us all the days of our life, that we would love you more than life itself, that we would desire you more than anything. If we ever go left or right, we pray you bring us back on the narrow, however it needs to be. Keep us, Lord.

I give my life to you to follow you for the rest of my life. Your blood, perfect blood that you shed washes me clean.
You suffered for me, you died for me. You were buried and you rose from the dead. You overcame sin, you overcame death. You overcame the grave to give me life, to forgive me and give me life. I received that in my heart. I confess that from my mouth, that you are Lord, that you rose from the dead. And I turn away, I repent, and I turn away from following anything else. And I give you my heart. Free willingly, I surrender. Fill me, Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, amen. Let's give God some praise, hallelujah. We love you, Jesus. We just saw a bunch of young people this past week give their life to Jesus and get baptized. Baptism is so special. Me and Pastor Joel were breaking it down to these young kids. I mean, and so many of them wanted to get baptized. I feel like a good handful of them actually understood baptism and really like gave their life to Jesus. Some of them were like three and four years old and they just wanted to go in the water. And I just told their parents, hey, we're gonna dedicate them to the Lord. I'm not a Catholic priest, okay?
I said, well, just, I'm not gonna forbid them to go in the water, but they're gonna have to actually give their life to Jesus in the future. And we just dedicated them to the Lord. But baptism is very sacred and very holy, set apart, special. And it's when you go into that water and you die and you rise a new creation in Christ. It's when you make the decision to enter the kingdom of God, to fight for the kingdom of God and renounce the world. Whether you believe it or whether you want it or not, when you enter God's kingdom, you are now at war with the demonic kingdom that you were once working for. Whether you want to or not, you enlist as a soldier in the army of the Lord. And baptism is that public first step of discipleship where you say, I'm publicly declaring through this baptism that I am done with the world, I divorce the world. And under that water, your old self dies. Your life doesn't become better, you actually die. And you rise a new creation clothed in the righteousness and the power of Christ to be a witness to the nations. Baptism is very important and special. You need to believe the gospel, repent, truly surrender. And then that's when you go under that water as that public in faith move.
First step of discipleship, extremely important. So some of you might've been baptized as a baby without knowing the gospel, without truly repenting. That was not baptism at most. That was a dedication where your parents dedicated you to the Lord. And tonight might be your first time getting baptized. For some of you, you might've been to a million altar calls, but you never really surrendered. And maybe tonight was the first time where you said, you know what? I'm really, I've really surrendered. Now go into that water and get baptized. If you need to be baptized tonight, I want you to raise your hand and raise it high. Raise it high. Hallelujah. And I want you to pray. you guys to go to the exit sign we have the baptism tub filled up for you we're gonna be baptizing right now so if you're getting baptized go ahead and go to the exit sign and go get baptized and if everybody could please go back to their seats we're gonna take communion and we're gonna close service let's take communion with the right heart make sure you have a communion cup it's a very holy special moment as well and we're also gonna have at the end of service once we wrap everything up and close out in prayer we're gonna open up the altar for anybody who needs prayer we're gonna have two lines over there and over there the prayer team will be up here to pray for anything you need so don't miss it you stay around and we will pray for
you this will be cut this this house is a house of prayer amen you if you are in need of a communion cup can I just have you raise your hand raise it up high so we can get those passed out to you and have some people help them out help them pass them communion cups out you if you need a communion cup raise your hand you as we postured our hearts for communion can I just have everybody stand up and join me so we can take home Holy Communion let's reverence the Lord and I just want us to have a brief moment of silence so that we can lay down anything that we know that we need to lay down communion is very sacred I don't want anybody to take communion in an unworthy fashion so we'll just have a brief moment of silence so that you can lay aside any weight that you know that you need to lay aside and let's pray hallelujah family I want to share with you guys a verse and this verse comes from Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5 and it says but he was wounded for our transgressions he was bruised for our iniquities the chastisement for our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed communion is more than you see Isaiah says he was wounded for our transgressions a wound is something that breaks the surface our rebellion against God was visible our sins were outward expressions of an inward separation from him yet every nail every piercing every wound Jesus received was not because of his transgressions but ours he became the one who bore the consequences of what he never committed then Isaiah brings it even deeper he says he was bruised for our iniquities you see a bruise is different from a wound. A wound is external, a bruise is internal. It is damaged beneath the surface. Transgression are the sinful acts we commit. Iniquities point to the twisted condition of the heart that produces those acts. Jesus did not come merely to forgive what we did.
He came to deal with what we had become. Many people want forgiveness for their actions but never allow Christ to transform the nature that keeps producing those actions. The cross addresses both of those things. You see, Christ was wounded for what flowed from us and bruised for what lived within us. Then Isaiah declares, the chastisement for our peace was upon him. You see, peace is expensive. Biblical peace is not merely the absence of conflict. It is wholeness. It is you being reconciled. It is you being complete and restored back to fellowship with God. Every blow that landed on Jesus purchased what no amount of human effort ever could. Peace with God. He took our punishment so we could receive his acceptance. He carried our rejection so we could become sons and daughters. He endured separation so we could experience communion. And finally, Isaiah ends off and says, by his stripes, we are healed. Everybody say, we are healed. Healing is not simply about the body. The Hebrew word rafa speaks of restoration, mending what has been broken, making whole again. His stripes proclaim that nothing broken is beyond God's ability to restore. Broken hearts, broken minds, broken relationships, broken bodies, broken identities. The stripes are heaven's declaration that Jesus did not just pay for your forgiveness, he paid for your restoration. So as we receive this bread today, I want everybody to take and open the bread. We remember that his body was broken so our lives could be made whole. I want everybody right now to break the bread in half. We thank you, Jesus, that you came down and you allowed your body to be broken in half so that we could be made whole. You subjected your body to such torture. You went through what none of us could go through so that we could be made whole. We produce the brokenness that is running rampant in the world and you came through and you fixed it. You gave yourself up and you endured the wrath that was poured out from God. You endured it. So we thank you in this moment, in this atmosphere. This is an atmosphere of reverence. We reverence the body that you broke. You broke your body for us. We reverence it. So I just want everybody right now to take the bread and you may now eat of the body of Christ. Thank you, Jesus. And now if everybody could just open up the cup. As we receive the cup, we remember that his blood establishes a new covenant where mercy triumphs over judgment and grace speaks louder than our past. Because of the blood that was spilled, God's people, God's children, no longer walk with
their heads down, but they walk with their heads up. God's people, God's children, no longer walk in shame. They no longer walk in condemnation, but they walk restored and they walk with peace. They have now been made and declared righteous because of the blood that was spilled at the cross at Calvary. So I want everybody to hold the cup up high. We thank you, Jesus, that you split your blood. We do not take this lightly. It's because of the shedding of your blood, we're freed from every accusation of the enemy. We're freed right now from every lie. You paid every legal debt that we owed in the spirit. You paid it all for us. The blood paid it all. So I thank you right now, tonight, that your children, they walk as victors, not victims. They walk knowing that they have been restored, washed by the blood, the precious blood of Jesus, your holy blood, and I thank you, my God, that each and every day we remember Christ and Christ crucified. We thank you and we bless your holy name. You all may now partake of the cup and drink of the blood of Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Come on, just tell him thank you, just bless him, just bless him, hallelujah. So now we're going to open up the floor for prayer. Just real quick, again, if you need prayer for anything, anything, healing, freedom, standing in the gap with you for something, we're going to open up these two aisles, have the prayer team come up now, prayer team come up now, just line up so we can pray for God's people. Let's just close out in prayer. So Father, we love you, thank you for your sweet presence tonight, and Lord, we just ask that this week be a week of revival, a week of revival, Lord, that you would show your people, Father, here in person and online, even those who watch on the rerun, that you're not boring, that you're amazing. Oh, Lord, show up and show out for your people this week. In Jesus' name, and we all say together, amen, hallelujah, man, God, it's so good.
