The Men of Driven Re- Entry!!

Let's go, this is tough. Good morning. What an honor and a privilege it is to, again, be able to speak to you right through that Pando app onto your tablet from right here in McKinney, Texas at Life Fellowship Church. Guys, we love you. You are a part of our church family. We have a really awesome thing planned this morning. Many of you may have seen the Driven Re-Entry video that we put out a month ago or so. We've got Scott Graham back, the founder of that ministry, and we've got some guys that are living in the house right now, and we just kind of want to talk about Driven Re-Entry. We want to kind of paint a picture on a canvas what maybe life after you hit the gate can look like. Maybe it's not at Driven Re-Entry, but maybe you can glean some things that you can put to practice in your own life when you get out. Obviously, we want to tell you about Driven Re-Entry because we want to give you an opportunity to reach out to them, and if that's your journey that God has for you, man, we want to make it available. Thank you guys for coming in this morning. Scott, you're awesome. Man, I love these guys. I love doing life with these guys. Man, I'm just going to turn it over to Matthew here. He's the leader in the house. He's kind of got some ideas about what we're going to talk about, and guys, listen, man. Open your hearts, man. Open your hearts to maybe what I have in my mind of what I'm going to do when I get out. I'm going to go do this. I'm going to do this business. I'm going to get this house. Whatever the thing is, guys, just is it possible that maybe God might have a different plan

for you? Maybe He does. What do you guys think? Yeah, Logan, that's exactly it. Not knowing where to go was one of the things that was heavy on my mind. So I was incarcerated when I was 19. I spent 15 years flat in prison, and in that time, just the five years leading to my release, now that I'm looking back, those were the most important times. So reentry started for me five years prior to release, and I was still facing setoffs and stuff like that, and I think to just mention that is important because not having an aim other than getting out, that wasn't enough. That wasn't enough, and so now here I am as Director of Admissions for Driven, and that is, only God could have done that for me. How long have you been out, Matthew? So six months. You've been out six months. Did you ever think that you would be the Director of Admissions for a ministry that just shows up with excellence like Driven Reentry does? Oh no, and that's the thing that God will elevate you to the level of your character, and I can't see myself, and I know that that's a common thing, that it takes others to see in you what you can't see in yourself, and that's what, you know, Scott did for me, and that's what, you know, Scott and Tabby and the whole Driven, so that gets to the point of why we're here, is to maybe cast into your thoughts that there's a way to get further than you ever thought you could possibly by just submitting to the vision of someone else that's further along, and that's what we represent, really. That's the culture of Driven, is not getting in our own way anymore and just submitting to the fact that there's people that will care about us to walk us through the next step, and the next step isn't, you would think, getting out. It's having the character and the heart and the mind to get out and stay out. That's reintegration, so that's what we're a part of.

Yeah, that's real important, and you mentioned God will elevate you to the level of your character. I know when I was locked up, like, I never hit that gate and walked it out. I fell every single time, even this last time, because in my mind, I would always think to myself, okay, I do want something different. I don't want to come back here, but I'm locked up, man. I'm in prison. This sucks. I know what to do when I get out, but while I'm here, yeah, man, I'm still going to engage in the hustling. You got some hooch, man, I'll drink it. I'm at the knock table more than I'm at church. Not that there's anything just inherently wrong with knock or whatever, but what I'm saying is, I knew that God wanted something better for me, but my mindset was... I'll do that when I get out. I know what to do. I've been going to church. I know I need to go to recovery meetings I know what to do, but while I'm here and so he elevates us to our level of character We need to be and like he said re-entry started for him five years out man. It needs to start for you right now Right now what what is it that God wants you to lay down that you're that you're still engaging in? Because when you get out man He's gonna elevate you to that level of character because there's a lot of guys right that apply to Driven re-entry that don't make it in. I'm just gonna tell you if you write them a letter There's not a real good chance that you're gonna get because they get hundreds of them Man, you're gonna be blessed if you get here, but the Holy Spirit is gonna highlight the ones that have the high character Oh, yeah, he's gonna highlight the ones that are Seeking his face and are trying to lay down those things guys. We're not gonna be perfect I'm not asking you to be perfect where you're at. I'm just asking you to try because that's such a good. That's such a good principle Sean what is your experience with I don't even know how much time did you do? What was your kind of your story? Well, I did eight years and three months on a 20-year sentence for DWI. It's a third time down And as far as you're talking about

Re-entry before I think a lot of times what we do is we don't look beyond the razor wire when we're on the inside All we do is look at the four walls that are around us that we don't have a vision so coming up to to this is just say it was all orchestrated by God and God had just put it in my heart that I've got out a lot of times. I've got out a lot of times and I've failed every time and it's not that I How do you put it it's it's it's like I was getting a second chance and God just spoke to me before I got out He said this is not a second chance this is a new beginning and being willing to do something that I've never done before and go to a place where I've never been before and When my brothers used to always tell me if you want to be successful, you need to be around successful people Absolutely Kind of your story quickly and how God gave you this vision and what all it's taken to put these to make this thing go sure Hey guys Hasn't been too long. Has it? It's good to see you again. And our hope today is that You know whether you end up a driven re-entry or not Our whole intent today is that the Holy Spirit will be talking to you about what's next instead of tricking and politicking is what I'm saying there How about Focusing on like Lord, what do you have for me? That's next like what do you want me to do when I get out? What does life look like later and I know for me? Has anybody and you guys included that are on the stage right now as anybody ever? Struggled with your affliction whether it be Hustling for money drugs sex. I mean whatever the issue is. Have you guys ever? Is anybody that we're talking to right now those of you that are watching this this episode for life fellowship have you I'm talking to You right now. Have you ever? Struggled with drugs alcohol or whatever your affliction is. I know that I have Boys Okay. All right How many times?

Have you you guys that are sitting in that bunk in that rack right now at that day at that day room table with your Headphones in whatever you're doing right now How many of you right now as you look back on your life and told yourself man? I'm never gonna do this again and made it made Meant it with every part of your being I swear to God. I'm never doing this again. Has anybody ever done that? Okay, so we're all on the same page so that that's been my story I'm homeless I'm living in my car And you guys have seen tabby on some of these other podcasts and we're strung out and we I'm just man. I'm hitting licks committing felonies just to stay high and alive. My kids went to bed hungry a couple of nights yeah, I did that and in 2016 I got a drug under just another drug possession case out of Tarrant County and I Have wound it up getting a three-year prison sentence And it was the best thing that has ever happened to me my entire life And I'm sitting in the back of that bounty hunters car when the bounty hunters can't begin me because of this court Well, you would think that a villain such as me would Would be picked up by some Secret Service looking dark blacked out Suburbans Tahoe's all the covert stuff. No, they picked me up in a Honda fit a burnt orange Honda fit like a little Honda Prius and I I think what was happening is the Lord was working on my pride right then because I'm homeless and I'm the Worst, I'm a deadbeat dad I'm focused on keeping the drugs in my arm and in the needle and to stay high More than I'm focused on anything else so I'm sitting in the back of this bounty hunters car and I'm strung out on methamphetamine and heroin and I just hear the Lord just tell me as I'm sitting in the back of this Honda fit that I'm gonna heal you I'm gonna restore you and I'm gonna use what I do in your life to be an example for others What I could do for them as well, and I had no idea what this would look like I had no idea that this is where we would be and so my hope is that anything that we're doing would be an example of what life could look like for you because I know if you're watching this and you're still

Clued in and and focused on what we're saying after 12 minutes of tape time Then there's something that God is trying to do in your life in Jesus name like I claim that right here right now So let me tell you what what's going on with all these men up here. What's going on with pastor Logan? What's going on with Matthew Alex or Sean? I mean We're just an example and here's what I know. I went to prison long enough I only did a year of time on that but I went to prison long enough to go through a healing journey while I was In TDC I pressed in and started letting the Lord heal me in areas that I didn't know that I even needed healing in And then while I was incarcerated God began giving me downloads of what life would look like And if I were to write it down as a script right now I would have sold myself short. All I've got to do is show up and the Lord does the rest It's the craziest part. So but that's who we are and how we got here I knew that God had let me go through everything that I went through to be able to talk to you and To let you know that I know exactly what it's like for you to be sitting right where you're at And what I'm telling you is that this isn't the end of your life, this is the beginning So how many people does God have waiting for you to sit somewhere and talk to how many people? Ears are only gonna hear your story your encouragement your words just like he's using Scott right now, man He wants to use you but like Matthew said it starts right now Right right here right now and it's worth mentioning to you guys that are Watching that know The big transformation that's happening on the units recovery housings Faith based norms the veterans norms the peer influencer movement For you guys that are on the other side of that that are really reluctant to say, you know I just need to drop all the things that I've been doing that is taking me further away From the man that I need to be in order to get released even the life without parole even you guys that are g3s You have a great purpose and if you get involved in this process that is is happening It's the body of work that we started You know That's part of this story that I couldn't really tell you on this platform About my journey and how I got involved with this but being a peer recovery specialist in there Being a life coach in there

Being able to start being a co-founder of recovery housing that that's your ticket so on your unit when you have those opportunities to be involved in this program that gives you a leg up in this whole process of Are you right for driven because it's all character based and it's all doing things for the inside so that you can be a loved member of the household a trustworthy friend and a civilized citizen in society in prison and out and And that was worth mentioning and I really hope that you guys Grasp that and I'm no one to tell you, you know, stop your hustle or stop. Whatever it is I'm that's not what this message is. I don't think that we're up here Expressing that Logan you may mention that like knock and all that what there's nothing inherently bad in that and we're not up here Giving value judgments on what's bad or good, you know, you know You know what it is because we failed time and time again, and we wouldn't have beat ourselves up Over and over again on a decision if we didn't know that that was just the wrong course of action but unfortunately we're we're stuck in a consequence, which is the sentence that you find yourself that I found myself serving and I wanted to express that to you guys because I know that sometimes it feels hopeless when you're in an environment where it's all negative, but there's these little glimmers of light and it's getting really it's getting big and Don't miss this train when you have opportunity to jump on it even if you Are cast to spend the rest of your life in there because that's just what sentence in society says You still have a purpose and God has a purpose for you and that's to be a leader inside of there and Build on the culture that's being created so that the people that you're around and they get out, they're going to reach back in. We go back into prison because that's, that's something that fills me, but it's also so that we won't forget the loss. And you guys are not forgotten. And I really, Logan, I really wanted to express that because that was important. And, you know, talking about the day to day, Sean didn't mention, I think it's worth mentioning how he got in, because that was something that's part of the process of how you get in. And so can you, how did you get here? How'd you get into driven? What happened? It was a divine appointment. Uh, I was, uh, I got an RMS and, you know, with the RMS, they're going to release you no matter what, but you may go to a state halfway house or whatever

else. And I was just really being still just waiting on God. So, uh, Matthew ran into someone I know and at a conference and they started talking. And so he sent me a message and wanted to do a phone interview. So I walked into the chaplain's office one morning and I sit down and literally when I sit down, the phone rang and it was Matthew on the other end of the line. And, and we did a phone interview there and it's just, I mean, what can I say? It's just, it was all God, it was all God had nothing to do with me or anything else. And you know, it's, it's, it's amazing. It's just actually amazing. And how did you get to the house? How'd you get to that? Like when you got released, what happened? Oh yeah. And then, oh yeah, the release. So it was, uh, uh, they, these guys came and got me and they showered love on me. And we, you know, we took pictures, they took me out to eat and it was just amazing. It was, it was absolutely amazing. Where'd you eat? Uh, we went to Bucky's. Yeah. Shout out. Whatever that, whatever that one was with all the meat on it. Yeah. Yeah. So now you want to talk about the day to day? Yeah. Well, so I just want to, I just want to ask you this. So it's not, everyone is fit for driven reentry. Is that correct? No. So what does a person look? What is it? What is the man or woman there? There's women's homes as well. We're going to do women's here in a couple of weeks. What is the person, the candidate look like? What is it that right now, let's say they've got their date coming up six months, a year, 18 months, they're up for parole next year. They got an RMS coming up and you know, how can they start cultivating the type of what's, what are you guys looking for and what can they be doing right now to put themselves in that position? Got to be ready. And what does that look like to be ready? What's our culture? Alex, what's our culture? Well, to go off about, you know, being ready, I just wanted to put this in real quick. You know, I thought I was ready many times, but the Lord had to get me to a place in my life where I was on my knees and all I could do was turn to him. And so I wasn't ready for real. And so I was ready to fully surrender to him. And, and that's what it takes. And I think the Lord, you know, is, is willing to allow us to go through some really, really hard things to get us to a place in our heart where our heart posture can be totally turned towards him, because that's when he can actually start to work on us. When we're, when we're tired of trying to work on ourselves and allow him to mold us because we're the clay and he's the potter, you know, it's not our hands that are molding that clay. It's him. But man, you know, when I got

there, I didn't know how to feel because I had been in many recovery centers and situations before. And I think what sticks out more than anything else is although we're busy, we're doing life together. And, um, I believe that that weeds out the, the ones that aren't completely ready to, to head, head straight into that direction. Um, you know, doing life together as a community, um, it really brings, um, it really brings the heart of driven, um, to the center because in a lot of other places, kind of like what Matthew was speaking about earlier, people want to do their own thing. And, um, it takes leaning on your brothers to make it. We can't do this on our own. There's no way that's what we tried to do in the past. We always tried to do it on our own and it never worked. Um, and so, man, it takes having a heart posture turned towards the Lord and, um, being willing to submit to the process, man. And our God is an all consuming fire. And so it might get hot sometimes, but there's a fourth man in that fire and he's walking with you through that. And on the other side, you're going to come out looking more like Jesus and being able to lead others closer to him. Um, and so. That's the culture of driven We're headstrong. I mean Matthew and I we just ran. Well, he just ran a half marathon the other day But we ran nine miles for his birthday and it's just doing things like that. You know, it's just pushing pushing each other to run together towards sobriety towards the Lord and Towards a better life and bringing others as many as we can with us So I think what I'm trying to what I'm hearing him say and correct me if I'm wrong then You got to be all in I mean Totally transparent totally vulnerable on anything. Whatever the brokenness is whatever the struggle is We have to open our hearts are open like open our freaking chest cavities right and just show each other This is where I'm broken. This is where I need help without being without being weird or any of that other stuff We have got to have permission to speak in each other's lives Because I'm gonna call you out Logan Logan's a big part of this community, too. He's gonna call you out Matthew's gonna call you out Sean's gonna call you out Alex is gonna call you out. But here's the best part. Here's the I think this is one thing that the Lord has given this organization It's different than any then in many places is our egos aren't so involved in this that we're untouchable You have permission to call me out you have permission to call Logan out you have

We're all in the same boat together. Just some of us are a little bit further than others. But one thing I promise you We're gonna put our foot on your neck That's what's gonna happen and it has to be that way because just like Matthew he went in when he was 19 and yes 15 years he man this guy Super influential in the prison system, absolutely Absolutely, that doesn't mean you have to be a rock star where you're at I'm just saying this is his walk So but what happens is is he came home and now all these muscles spiritual muscles recovery muscles all the things all the The influence and leadership that he's got has grown him into he gets he got to learn how to do this in real-life application now and There's a season where it's difficult because when somebody gets home Like what happened with you Sean when you got home you you it's like wow, this house is beautiful What I can eat what I want. Wait a minute. I can wear clothes. Wait, this is great Oh parole wants me to sit at home for a while. That's cool. But the elation begins to go away and Then the new world it's like the old habits try to kick in and that's where the community and the culture Will outlive your bad habits because if no matter if you've got a hustle game or what? We don't care about all that because our culture will either eradicate that or heal it Yeah, and I'm a practical matter to you guys that reach out on the you know Writing us letters and things like that You will get a next steps questionnaire and in there what you don't put on there is almost as important as what you do and I Think thankfully God has prepared me and positioned me with discernment and When you read this thing, everything's fully up front, you know exactly what it is that you're getting into But based on that initial interaction, that's gonna put you in into where we consider you or not and it's a two-way street, so That's something to if you get a next steps questionnaire make sure to realize that this is Probably one of the biggest most important Things that you need to consider what you need to write down because if you haven't even considered like for me

I had to I've spent years literally years Crafting what I really would like to express Authentically to someone that is in a position to help me and and that's what this is That's what we are we're in a position to to help you get out and stay out and then also we we're postured to to Assist the individuals that are gonna be there for a long time. And that's the dual purpose that we serve That's that's God's mission. That's that's that's God's mission to us is The ends of the earth and in prison is the end of the earth In you know many ways other than you know the places across the globe, right? But yeah I wanted to just tell you guys that too because I know we don't like to write and sometimes We do write and what we do write is we want to sound like Whatever it is that we we just want to get our foot in the door I just want to get my foot in the door and then whatever comes after and that's not what kind of deal this is So what is what are some of the biggest challenges that you guys have have faced, maybe living in the house or knowing some guys that have been there and maybe failed or been there and maybe went their own way, is there anything that you can share? It's funny, that's funny, you know, that you say that. But I'm just trying to paint a picture of what this is going to look like. Okay, exactly. This is not a place if you just need an address. No, no, this is definitely not a revolving door place, like there's many other, at the law library there's a huge list of addresses that those are addresses. This isn't an address, this is an opportunity for you to get out and stay out. But there's a cost and it's a high cost. So the price of admission is your word and the cost of staying there is your actions. And part of that is this, when you get in, there's this path of 18 months and it's a 18 months, two weeks, the first two weeks, this is, and there's a study at a university that says like the fourth, the first 14 days of someone's release projects the next 24 months of their propensity to come back into prison or to commit new crimes.

And so those two weeks are so vital that you forget every plan that you had, not that you don't have them and that you're not being proactive and we want you to get all the things, we have transportation for you, we're going to get your ID, all of the things, all of the needs to be successfully reintegrated, we got you. But the trust factor is this, that the timetable that it happens is not going to be on you. And that's the, if I could say that is the biggest requirement, that is the biggest requirement that you put full faith in the process that Scott and Tabby and, you know, God had gave them this pathway and you have to, you must, it's a must, it's a have to. And that's where we see people falter in that regard is that they come in and just so much for me, man, and I'm going to talk about me. I had years, just imagine 19 years old, right? Had a career in front of me, all this stuff, never did. Then, then I fail a huge, awful tragedy of a crime. And then 15 years worth of ambition that was just pent up waiting to get released like a spring, right? And just to just, I want to just go fly. And I had to realize that that is my biggest problem is that I just don't slow down or don't follow the direction of someone who knows that you have to pace yourself. And so that's where people fail in the pacing. Another area that people fail in is, you know, we're men and we get temptations from all avenues of life. And one of them is romantically involvement, right? Of too fast, too soon. But to put it in perspective, what do I have to offer in the beginning? Headache and heartache. Because I don't have anything of my own, but it's not that I won't ever have it. It's just at this point in time, that's just not the right decision for me. So we see people fail in doing that, where they, they, they, they try to grasp at a person to bring them to a place where they feel another person bringing that could add more value to them instead of just building their own value and working on the emotional and

the society, like the social aspect. And then another, another area that people have failed, fallen is, you know, gray area substance use. So like a Kratom, right? Like it's not, now it's scheduled now, but, but we're talking about like what we've seen. That's not really illegal. You can buy it at a gas station or whatever. And it just, things like that, we've had people fail in that area. And, and then the last thing that, that we've seen is that they just don't want to, to do life with anybody that is open, honest, and transparent, truthful. We don't want to, I don't want to hear the truth about, Hey man, this is, this is some ugly parts of you and it needs to change. I don't want to be in my old ways. I don't want to be in an environment where I constantly get those things get highlighted to me, not so that I'm being beat over the head with them, but that I'm being like shown, Hey, this is how you need to grow as a human being. And sometimes, you know, for whatever reason, people are in a season where they don't want, they just want illusion. They want it. They just want all movement and no progress. And so that that's those are the things that we see the Bible talks about in Proverbs iron sharpening iron. Yeah. So one man sharpens another. And if you think about that, man, iron on iron, that's, that's like rough, it's painful. There's sparks that might fly, you know, but the Bible calls us to this. And so this is what's going to be happening on a regular basis and driven is you've got to be open to, to, to, to have people speak into your life. I'll call it spiritual consent. When I'm, when I'm working with someone or mentoring someone or sponsoring someone, then

ask them over, Hey, do I have consent to speak into your life, to tell you the truth, to care about your life more than I care about your feelings right now, because it is uncomfortable to get sharpened. Sure. But, but it's something that the Bible called it and it's so vital and, and, and 99% of the other places that are on that list in the law library, you're not going to find it there unless you go and actively seek it, but you are going to find it here. Like you can't avoid it here. And so this, if this is something that appeals to you, like, yeah, man, wow, finally a place that I can, that's not just an address, it's not just a revolving door where there's drugs and there's all kinds of people trying to be shady and circumvent the system, like actually a place I can, man, this is the place for you. But if you're that guy that just wants an address, like probably don't waste your time filling out the next steps, need not apply, Sean, you've been out like 11 days, 11 days. So, so tell me what the 11 days have been like for you and maybe some challenges you've faced. Well, it's, uh, I want to say this to you guys. I know you guys love football. I know you love football and I've been to a lot of different places cause I've been locked up several times and there's nothing like driven re-entry. It's the difference between high school football and professional football. In other words, and we know that for a championship team, there has to be a culture in the locker room of success. And what, in other words, so what, what it is here is it's, it's not that we're better than anybody, but there is a standard of excellence. And if you're not willing to do this, then, and be a part of the team, then it is not for you. Uh, I want to say that no matter what, what kind of stipulations they give you on release, uh, I'm sitting on stage today with y'all with an ankle monitor on, so nothing is impossible with God.

That's right. So what's it been like in 11 days, anything surprised you about the house or the, or kind of the schedule or, or what, what have been some things that have tempted you or come? How has the enemy come against you in these 11 days that maybe, you know, it's I'm five years removed, but maybe you can share with these guys, man. I think one of the, I think one of the main things is just, uh, the, the saying that we hear all the time is just be where your feet are planning. Just be where your feet are because it's so easy to want to get out and get a job and, and get this. And I was talking to Matthew this morning and I was like, cause I've asked the question before how many of us have been out of prison before and we've had a good job, but where are we at? We still in prison. We ended up coming to prison regardless that we had a good job. So it wasn't just a good job. It was about having a stable foundation and a sure foundation that we wouldn't go back and make those same mistakes. Well, and that backs up one of our principles that Logan, I didn't screw my life up overnight and I'm not going to fix it in two weeks. And I did not know Matthew that that was a collegiate study that based on the first 14 days, man, that seed right there should be planted right now, deep in the bottom of your heart. I mean, that's a big deal. So at driven what's happening now is we received over a hundred letters in the month of July. This organization is now growing. And so since inception, so Matthew and I've kind of brainchilded this while I was doing prison ministry at the Michael unit and he was doing his thing and, and I was running it by him. Like, what do you think about this? Like, cause I want to submit everything to the Lord and to the people about me that have

permission to speak into this. But the success that was going on in there, I knew that I knew that I knew that he would be a part of this. When he got out. I knew that just like Jason Holder shout out Jason Holder, man, that's my guy. We just had a staff meeting with him. He's my right hand man in the, in our business. And I knew that I knew that I knew there's a, there's a lot of growth that's happening in driven reentry right now. And let me just tell you that even though it's been, it's been told to you guys that not everybody that applies will get in. And so in TDC. There's a program called PEP. And all you guys wearing white know what I'm talking about. In PEP, like 0.3% of people that apply for it get in. Well, with all the expansion that we're having right now, we're not PEP. Like I want you to write. I want you to write. I want you to write so many letters and be so articulate so we can see your heart posture that we have to hire more people. We'll buy more houses. I mean, God will do it. So I'm not worried about that. But let's pour the gas on this. And then Oklahoma, Oklahoma DOC, if you guys are watching this, our next plan is to plant one in Oklahoma City next to Victory Church.

Come on. So next, we're also thinking about going to Austin. We wanna be, so the five-year plan for driven reentry is to be all things prison reentry for the state of Texas. We're starting to lock arms with the agency. We're not anti-agency, brother. I'm all about the agency. I'm all about prison because I'll tell you what, prison saved my life. And I know it's saving yours right now. Saved my life, for sure. How about you? And Alex just went into prison for the first time a couple of weeks ago. What'd you think about that, Alex? Oh man, it was such a blessing to watch how the Lord's moving in and through that place. And it's such a great opportunity and an open door for the Lord to do exceedingly abundantly above anything that we could think or imagine. And the fact that he's chosen you as the vessel or the vehicle for that to flow through, man, it's just, it's also awesome to watch what God's doing through you in there. Man, there's so many men in there and whether they're in there for a time or whether they're in there for life, you know, that's a dangerous place for the enemy because man, God can do major, mighty miracles whether you're in prison or out of prison.

And the blood of Jesus does not discriminate. And so it's just such an amazing opportunity to watch him set people free and get healed and get delivered within the four walls whether you're in or out, praise God. I mean, so the four men that are up here with me, you're gonna watch by the movement of their heads, but there is a revival happening in the prison system right now. Jesus is moving, the Holy Spirit's moving. People are being set free. They're being set free. Even the transsexual agenda, let's just address that right now. Man, we go in there and we love all the people that have had gender confusion. Like, let's address it. Let's address the gay agenda. Just because you found Jesus doesn't mean everything changes in a heartbeat. The last sermon I was preaching at the Michael Unit was talking about that, that there's a thing called progressive sanctification. And I'm not trying to get on some agenda. I'm just saying the blood of Jesus covers all sin. Absolutely. And what's happening right now is the Holy Spirit, he's pouring his spirit out on all people, even the incarcerated. So what's happening right now in your cell,

in your day room, wherever you're at, the Lord is stirring something up inside of you. Right now, that's happening. There's a healing. I'm sure that maybe some of you guys are even feeling the chills. That's an encounter with the Holy Spirit. So what I wanna encourage you to do is right here, right now, just start asking, Lord, even if you don't know him, ask him. Like, Lord, what do you have for me? What does this look like? What do you want me to do? And I promise you, if you submit your plans to him, he'll have his way with you. So the guys that are in your house, they do prison ministry. It is 100% required. So if you're accepted, just know, when your six months is up, you're going to prison. You're going to prison. Because I say that because I know when I was there, when I was an inmate, I used to see the volunteers come in and the ones, there were those ones that always said, well, the only difference between me and you is you got caught and I didn't, couldn't really relate with them. But the former inmates, gosh, I would look at them and say, God, man, it would be so cool

to just get my stuff together to the point where I could actually come back in here and do that, man. Like, it just resonated with me. And I know it resonates with many of you. And guys, I just want to say, it's required if you come to Driven Reentry. Like, you're going into prison. You're going to be that guy. You're going to be that guy. Man, have a vision, bro. Like, God is going to use you, whether you're at Driven Reentry or not, and he wants to use you in a way that you can't even imagine. That's it. So parting thoughts? I think Alex has something. Yeah, man, I just wanted to go off of the revival real quick. So of course we want revival. Everyone wants revival. And the spirit of the Lord, where he is, there is freedom. But for there to be lasting revival, and I learned this from someone who's very near and dear to my heart, there has to be reformation. And that's what the Lord's doing right now. And so if we want to see lasting revival, the reformation that's taking place currently, the systems that are being set up,

because this is what the definition of reformation is, is it's the act of improving or changing a system, law, behavior, or institution. for the better and that's exactly how God is moving in and through driven re-entry to set up and position a place to to hold a lasting revival and so just keep watching what God's doing. Sean do you have any closing thoughts? Yeah I want to say something too. I know that sometimes we think we know a scripture and I just want to share something with you today that God is for you. Don't think that you already know that. Receive that fresh today that God is for you. It doesn't matter if you're in an ad sex sale. It doesn't matter where you are. God is for you. I always like to leave you know an encounter with individuals but something that I did in order to get where I'm at and it was these things right here so a persistence tenacity and follow-through and that was those were the character traits that I really wanted to just have not only to be trustworthy independable wherever I was no matter who was there if it was just me but it's always me and God that's that's seeing whether I'm living up to that but definitely you got to have persistence and you have to be tenacious and you have to follow through so when you write the letter if you do get a response that is isn't favorable to you in all avenues of your life if you just use that formula to push through you will set yourself apart and like we've said before we're not above anyone else but we are in front of everyone else in this regard and the only cost of admission is to be exceptional and that takes consistency and day in day out and in the environment in which you become excellent is that's going to be the lasting um testament to to what you did and how you got through what you got through and that's my call to action for you guys is find your excellence and whether there's a payoff in the near future or the hereafter that's something that we need to um hopefully that'll bring some

glimmer of hope and light in your lives and I really love it each and every one of you guys and just know that the work that we're doing is is towards a a better future for all of us even if we're going to be in prison forever and I really want you guys that have our long-term residence um we're here man and I love you I'll just say this before we go those of you that are going to write driven re-entry male and female here's what we want to know want to know what you want out of your new life out once you are released like what do you want out of this if time money and effort were no factor like what do you want your life to look like be as descriptive as you want to be write as much as you want we don't care we're going to get through it anyway number two the next question is is why is it going to be different this time like once by the time we're in prison we've we've done washrooms repeat on the nonsense multiple times but so what is it what is different about right here right now that's going to make it to where we're going to want to bring you in next thing question number three is what is my relationship with God look like be as descriptive as you want uh question number four is what are you willing to do to change your life number five I want to know about your crime and we need to know what medication you're on that's it all right well guys it's been fun um just I just in closing I just I know that there's a lot of you out there that that that maybe have families that you can go to but but but are super spiritual your prayer warriors guys I want to ask would you just would you lift up driven re-entry in your prayers would you put them on your on your prayer list when you guys come together at your prayer calls or whatever there's some doors that are potentially opening that could just blow this thing up man and and don't we all know man we need this I mean even If there were a hundred driven reentry houses, we would barely scratch the surface of the need. So, guys, be praying for driven reentry and also for Life Fellowship Church. We're going through some transitions right now as well. As many of you know, just lift us up, lift our leadership up. God is for us. As Sean said, that's actually the topic of the sermon series this month and here at Life Fellowship, and he is, man. We just have to believe that. We just have to know that and not fix our eyes on all the things that are going on around us,

but to fix our eyes on him, knowing that he is for us and he will take our broken pieces that we've made a mess of and he'll just build them back into the most beautiful thing.
