The Danger of Deception
What does the Bible teach about the timing of Jesus’ return?
In this episode, John and Arden Bevere explore the second coming of Jesus, proving through Scripture that we are in the generation of the end. They unpack prophetic signs, the dangers of deception, and the importance of enduring with a love for truth. This conversation also dives into Daniel’s prophecy and how it connects to Jesus’ first coming.

There's a reason there's not going to be one stone left upon another because you did not know the time of your visitation. Let's first discuss why he reviewed the leaders and the people for not knowing the time, the season of his first coming. Then we'll be able to discuss why we're not going to be excused by not knowing the season of his second coming. We don't know the day or the hour. We do and I can't emphasize that enough, but we know the generation. We ask the question, can we be sure that we're actually in the season of his second coming? And I'm going to say this boldly up front and then I'm going to prove it with the Word of God. Hey everybody, we'll get back to the episode in just a moment. But first, I want to thank the patrons, make this podcast possible. Your support behind the scenes is critical to sharing these messages. So thank you. I am joined by my son, Art and Art. And it's so great to see you today. It's always great to see you. I'm so excited about what we're talking about. Oh my goodness, we're talking about the second coming of Jesus. And we just kind of opened up the can of worms. It's not really a can of worms. We just opened it up, right? Last podcast and we're going to pick it up from where we left off. Let me just open up by asking this question. I want everybody to listen to this question. So the people, we saw this in the last podcast. The people were actually corrected by Jesus for not knowing the season of his first coming. So should we know the season of his second coming? And is it possible to know the season, the time period, the generation of his second coming? That's what we're going to ask about.
And we don't want to be those people that say, oh, if it'll just happen, it'll happen because we found out and let's just review quickly what we found out in the last podcast. And for those of you that didn't listen to the last podcast, please go back and listen to it. But there's five reasons Peter writes to us and says, most importantly, I want you to understand. So this is really important. The early church fathers wrote about this. The Jewish fathers wrote about this. We have this written by the Apostle John. Jesus talks about it in several chapters. Paul talks about it. I mean, it is an important subject. We found out that it's a foundational or elementary teaching of the church. So if we don't have a foundation, we're going to be easily shaken. Number two reason that we should be studying prophecy. There is a special blessing on reading, listening to and obeying the prophetic words of the book of Revelation. Wow, so there's obedience involved in hearing. Number three, watching for his return. The Apostle John says purifies us just as he is pure. So many people struggle with living a godly, holy life. I'm just struggling with this. Could it be that we're neglecting, studying, meditating, talking about, hearing about his second coming? Number four, watching for his return gives us wisdom to behave properly in the season we are living in. And number five, the frequency that his second coming has talked about eight times more than his first coming. Over 2,400 scriptures in the Bible talk about his second coming. I think about how much the Jewish people talked about the coming of the Messiah. Like, I don't feel like we talked to about it eight times more of the second coming of Jesus Christ in our day and age right now. That's a really good point. So before we go to second Peter, I just want to look at Jesus's words on the last days. Now, the disciples are with him. They were in the temple looking at the buildings and then they walked over to the temple mount and the disciples asked him three questions.
Because Jesus made a statement. He said, you see all these stones in the temple? Now, the temple had several buildings. It wasn't just one building. It was several buildings. Jesus said, you see all these stones? There will not be one stone left upon the other. And the disciples were like, whoa! And so they said, when is this going to happen? Right? They said, what will be the sign of your second coming? That's the second question. And what will be the sign of the end of the age? So there's three questions he asks about. Of course, one of the questions dealt with when Titus came in and destroyed Jerusalem. But most of what Jesus talks about is the signs that will occur and the things that will happen right before his second coming. Well, the very first words out of Jesus's mouth is be very careful that no one misleads you. Now, the Greek word for misleads is the Greek word. to wander off the path. In other words, they were on the right path, but they were deceived and someone caused them to wander off the normal path. When I look at what's happening today in our society, when I look at what we're teaching our children, when I look about us trying to pervert gender, all the things that are happening, we're wandering off an established path because this is not only happening in society. We have people in the church that actually think, it's all right to have a homosexual relationship. It's okay to transition. It's okay to murder a baby in our womb.
I mean, we are wandering off the path that the church has stayed to and adhered to for thousands of years. We are living in the last days. All right, so then Jesus says in verse 10, many are gonna be offended, and they're gonna betray one another. They're going to actually end up in hating one another. Why was this happening today? He said, "Then many false prophets or teachers "will rise up and deceive many." Again, it's the Greek word, plenau, all right? So the offense, the betrayals, even the hatred, is a breeding ground for deception. And I always like to say this, there's only one big problem with deception, it's deceiving, right? All right, he said, but Jesus said, "But he endures, "so there's an endurance here, "to the end will be saved." And because he said, "Many false prophets "are gonna rise up and deceive many, "and because lawlessness is gonna bound." Now, lawless, literally is the Greek word, anomia, which means we're not submitted to the law of God, okay? - Which can I say this is I love these two scriptures, Jeremiah, or the scripture of Jeremiah 12-5, because I do think you're talking about and during to the end and keeping up your race. I love this as he says, if you're worn out
in this foot race with man, what makes you think you can race against the horses? Which I feel like this is him talking about the horses that Revelation talks about, the four horsemen. And he says, "And if you can't keep your wits "during this time of calm, "what's going to happen when trouble breaks loose "like in the Jordan, or like what happens "when trouble breaks loose like the Jordan in flood." - Wow, I think that's really important. - So he's talking to Jeremiah about the persecution he's going through, he's also talking about the thing that Babylon was about to come in. But that really applies also to what's the day of the Lord. - Yeah, 'cause I think, and I'm not trying to go, and I'm not very loud, I'm an expert on this, but the four horsemen in the spirits, I think that they bring of the chaos and things that happen with that is he's saying, "What makes you think you're gonna keep up "with the horses, what makes you think "when these things begin to start happening "that you're gonna be able to run and outrun these things "if you can't even keep up with man, "because you're busy staying in man's affair "of worrying about the things that man worries about, "getting caught up, arguing with one another, "arguing around worldly things, dividing over things." It's just, I think it's almost a reassurance with those. - That's pretty sobering, yeah.
- It's really sobering. - Sorry, not to throw you on, I just thought, as you were talking about those. But lawlessness is gonna abound, Jesus said, which is not being submitted to the law or authority of God. When you look at what's happening today, what I just mentioned, it's happening, right? He said, "The love of many is gonna grow cold." Now, the word Greek word for love there is the Greek word agape. Okay, whoa, stop, stop, stop, stop. There's four Greek words translated love in the New Testament. There is Eros, which is a sexual type love. There's Storge, which is the all kind of love. Like, that's what people would have for like Michael Jordan. Okay, Tom Brady, that's an awe kind of love, right? Then there's phileo, which means brotherly love or affectionate love. And then there is agape, and agape is the love of God that Jesus said the world doesn't have. It cannot receive it. It is the love of God that is shed abroad and it believes his heart. Now, the question is, what word love does Jesus use here in Matthew 24? It's the word agapeo, which means, he's talking about the church here. So there's gonna be mass deception, and that deception of these false teachers,
which we talked about extensively in chapter two, is gonna lead to lawless living and lawless thinking, which is gonna cause the love of God in Christian's heart. So they've wandered off the path. Remember Jude said they've wandered off the right path. Remember the word plameo means to wander off the right path. So in other words, you were on the right path. So we're not talking about people who never knew God. We're talking about people in our churches. John the Apostle says it this way, Arden. He said, they were in our churches, but they went out from us, which means they were never really of us. So in other words, there's a mass exit. 25 years. This is sobering and this is what Jesus is talking about. This is what Paul writes about in the season of Jesus' second coming. There's going to be a mass falling away. An apostasyo is the Greek word, which means a departure from the faith. Pardon, I'm preaching myself. I just feel so strong in me right now. But he who endures. So we have to have an endurance mentality and endurance. What gives us the ability to endure? It is developing the character of Christ by staying in the exceeding great and precious promises. Let's go back to 1 Peter 1. These promises have been given to you to develop in you the divine nature. Add to your faith virtue and to your virtue knowledge. It's all making sense right now so that you're not swept away with the air of the wicked. So you're not swept away by the deceit that's going to be so prevalent in our day. Our day. Jesus is talking about our day. And I'm going to show that he really is talking about our day because we're going to talk about timeline in just a second. Okay. Hey everybody, let's be honest. Most believers, they want to know God more intimately. They want to find freedom, discover their calling and improve their relationships. But spiritual growth rarely happens by accident. So then he says in verse 24, he said, "For false Christ and false prophets will rise up and show great signs and wonders to deceive." Now here's what really gets me. If possible, the elect. Wow. Oh my gosh. So off four times he uses the word deceived is plenaeo, which means to walk off. You were on the path, you were on the godly path, and you walked off it. That's why he ends it, I think, with if possible, even the elect. Okay. So we see four times deception. So that's why it was so important that we were so, so thorough in our covering of 2 Peter chapter 2. Now, if you look at the second Thessalonians, we've got to ask a question now. What's causing so many people to be deceived? This is the big question. Why are so many people walking away from the faith? Why are we seeing such a mass exit as from the church, right? Paul tells us in 2 Thessalonians, he said, "People would walk away from the faith because they did not accept the love of the truth." Doesn't say they didn't accept the truth. The love of the truth. It's the love of it. Now, the person who fears God is somebody who loves truth. A person who is saved doesn't necessarily love truth, quote saved in our churches, in our Western churches. Doesn't necessarily love truth, but they have truth. So it doesn't say they became deceived and walked away from the faith because they didn't have the truth. It says because they didn't accept the love of it. I cannot stress. This is why when we were starting this podcast, I said, "Hey, we are just going to go line by line. We're going to go verse by verse. We are going to talk about the Word of God. We're going to make the emphasis of the Word of God and we're going to bring it alive to today's time because God's Word is very relevant to today. Truth transcends time. I love actually what this podcast has done because we've encountered a lot of young people that have said, "I love your passion for the Word," talking about your passion, John. As you're 65 years old, as you've been reading the Word of God for 40 years, your love of truth has not diminished. Your love for the Word of God has not shrunk. It is only enlarged. So that was the whole goal of this, is to see the love of the Word of God exemplified by going scripture by scripture through this. And it was you guys that wanted me to do this podcast. And Art now was down in South Africa. And a young man came up to me and said, "I listened to every one of your podcasts." I had a couple of young men down there say that to me. And so I'm hearing it overseas. And that's just thrilling. And it's not because I want people to listen to the podcast. I want people to hear the Word of God. And so we're going through the Word of God. And I'm more concerned about people hearing the Word of God than what they think about you
or me. They could think, "I talk too fast," or "I get too excited," or whatever they want to think. But I just want them to get the Word of God, right? Because I want to see people safe. I want to put CNN put to 30 million people walking away from the faith just in our country. So they were deceived, they fell away because they did not accept the love of the truth. That would bring them, that would save them. Remember, we're talking about salvation is right now when I accept Jesus Christ as Lord. It's the saving of our body. So salvation doesn't just mean the time that you actually say the sinner's prayer, you repent of your sins. Salvation is the salvation of our souls, which is a process, and the salvation of our body, which will happen the moment he returns, okay? So they did not receive the love of the truth, because he's talking about people that have fallen away from the way. They didn't receive the love of the truth that would save them. We're talking about saving them in the last times when Jesus returns, okay? So God will cause them, this is really something, this is sobering, to be greatly deceived, and they will believe lies. So this is why, 'cause, I've been really struggling. I'm seeing people that they attend church, yet they're like, there's no problem. Do you know the 47% of the men in church watch pornography on a regular basis, and this is what the survey says, the most recent survey. They have no problem with it. - It's 47%.
- 47% of the men-- - It's not just the amount of the men that are watching it. - That they have no problem with it. - They have no problems with it, okay? So they're greatly deceived, and they believed a lie. Why? They got away from the love of the truth. Jesus said, you look at a woman to lust after, you've committed adultery in your heart, okay? - Can I say too, that's a huge tell of the end times. It was that people are, like the lust will grow rampant, that that would be one of the biggest things that has shown, I'm trying to remember the exact first, but I think it's talked about within Jude, and I know you could catch me into this, but talk about with Jude, where it says, in the last days, those who will be the mockery following their own ungodly lust, a lot of translations actually talk about that in terms of directly their sexual desires, right? So I think a lot of people just don't understand that, is that maybe it could be, yeah, it's okay, like there's this on area that I'm okay with, and an understanding too, for what I've seen, is sexual lust in that regard, it does not just stop there. And I think that's actually a huge part of why we see society has gone so far away, is pornography has been so infiltrated into all schools and all these things, through your smartphones, it's so prevalent,
that we see it as it does not just stop there, it does not just stop that pornography, it goes and it goes further and it further and further, and so just being okay with it, saying 47% of men, in church, they're okay with it, that's scary. You know the word planal, that word deception, actually means to veer off morality, the moral path. It literally is used often in that regard. And so we asked the question at the beginning of the podcast, okay, is this really the time of second coming? Because didn't they think Jesus was coming like any moment in the first century church? Didn't they think that way? - They thought it was coming within their lifetime. - Their lifetime. Didn't they think that way in the 12th century church? Didn't they think that way in the 17th century church? Okay, so why now, why would we be any different? And this is what causes the people to start mocking, okay? They've been saying this for centuries. So we asked the question, can we be sure that we're actually in the season of the second coming? And I'm going to say this boldly up front and then I'm going to prove it with the word of God. Yes, we can. We are in the generation that will see his return. Your son is going to see the return. I believe with all my heart of Jesus Christ, should he live a full life and he will. I believe that with all my heart, right?
All right, so we saw on the last podcast and now I'm going to take this a little slower. Jesus is looking at Jerusalem and he's weeping over Jerusalem. And he says, "For the days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embarkment around you, surround you, and close you in on every side, and level you and your children within you to the ground." And they will not leave one stone upon another, which has all happened historically with Titus in 70 AD in Rome because there's a reason, there's not going to be one stone left upon another because you did not know the time of your visitation. That word time means the season or the generation, all right? Now, he sternly corrects them, all right? Is that true for us today? Now, they had over 300 scriptures speaking about his first coming, we have over 2,400. Let's first discuss why he rebuked the leaders and the people for not knowing the time, the season of his first coming. Then we'll be able to discuss why we're not going to be excused by not knowing the season of his second coming. So, let's find out why they were so strongly rebuked. To do so, we have to go back to the book of Daniel. Now, Daniel makes this most amazing prophecy. He has been fasting and praying for 21 days. what's gonna happen to his Jewish people. So in verse 20 of Daniel chapter nine, we read this, I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people.
Arden, that is always the precipice. Is that the right word? That's always the beginning of a great move or a great revelation of God. The older, the more I have served God, the more I've realized how important it is for us to humble ourselves, to turn from our sins, and not only our sins, but the sins of our people. - Yeah, I think so many times we stop at our own sins. - Yes. - I love that. Because I think when you're confessing the sins of others, you are actually gaining a heart for them. - Yes. - Great or hard for them. - Yes, and I've noticed this in the last six months. I mean, before the election last November, I was praying every single day. God, please forgive the sins of the people of God in the United States of America. Please have mercy. We deserve judgment, please have mercy. And I found I was feeling the pleasure of the heart of God. So this is what Daniel's doing. He said, "I'm confessing my sin and the sin of my people, pleading with the Lord, my God, for Jerusalem, His holy mountain." As I was praying, Gabriel, angel by name, the same Gabriel that went to Zechaius, or Zecharius, the father of John the Baptist,
Gabriel, whom I had seen in an earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice, verse 22. He explained to me, "Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding. The moment you began praying, a command was given, that would be a command from the throne. And now I am here to tell you what it was. For you are very precious to God. Listen carefully." So everybody, listen carefully. So that you can understand the meaning of your vision. So Gabriel came to give insight, to give wisdom. Remember, we talked about, this is one of the benefits of studying the second coming. So let's continue. In verse 24, Gabriel says this to Daniel, "A period of 70 sets of seven." That's 490 years, 70 times seven is 490 years. Now this really gets complicated, but I'm gonna try to keep it as simple as possible. A period of 70 sets of seven, so 490 years, has been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, and to atone for their guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness." So he says, there's gonna be 490 years until the eternal comes into this earth, okay? To confirm the prophetic vision and to anoint the most holy place.
Now listen and understand. So here, God is saying we need understanding, so let's believe for understanding. Seven sets of seven. So here you have 70, the first seven sets, which is 49 of those 490 years, plus 62 sets of seven, that'd be 434 years. So the total now is 483 years. How did I get that? 49 plus 434 is 483 years. Now remember, it's 490 years, so there's seven years that are left off here. So 483 years will pass, now listen to this, from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem, hold that thought, the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem. Remember, this is Daniel in captivity in Babylon, okay? Until a ruler, the anointed one, now he's talking about Jesus, comes. Jerusalem would be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses despite perilous times. After this period, a total of 483 years, the anointed one will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing. That's the crucifixion. - Wow. - Remember his disciples were like, what has happened, right? And a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and temple. That was Titus in 70 AD. - Wow.
- See how specific he is? - Yeah. - Okay, now let's talk about the timeline. From the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem. All right, so what happens? They're in captivity in Babylonian captivity, but then God raises up Persia, all right? And Persia overcomes Babylon. So now the people of God are no longer in their Babylonian rule, they're in their Persian rule. And there is a king named Eric Sturces, In Nehemiah chapter two, so everybody needs to go read this, okay, tells us that this king, Eric Sterses, who was the Persian king, that he gave the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem and it occurred in the month of March, okay, the Bible calls it Nisan, in the 20th year of the reign of his reign, all right? If you go to the Encyclopedia Britannica, you're gonna give, they give you the date that Eric Sterses and it gives his last name, long Jimenez, took the Persian throne in July of 465 BC. So his 20th year would have been what? It would have been July of 445, all right? Now this decree was given in March of his 20th year. So we know that this decree was given in March of 444 BC. That's when he said, okay, Nehemiah, go back and rebuild. And Nehemiah goes back and rebuilds the wall, he does all that, all that's in the Bible, okay?
So now it gets really interesting. In the third century church, so I'm gonna go forward. We got this guy, he's a church father and his name is Julius Africanus, wrote a book on the weeks and this prophecy. Now only fragments of his book remain, but they were found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. And in one of the fragments we find out and it's actually fragment 16, he tells how to calculate the exact day of converting, because you gotta convert this from the Gregorian calendar, which we're under, into the actual ancient Jewish calendar. And it's not the modern day Jewish calendar, it's the ancient Jewish calendar because modern day Jewish calendar, their new year is in September, October. The ancient Jewish calendar, which the Essenes, who were the ones that guarded the scrolls and hid them in the caves of Qumran, where they were all discovered in 1948. The Essenes held to that calendar. Let me give you an example, if you look at Exodus, the book of Exodus, when they came out of Egypt, God said this is the first month of the year. That was Passover, that was March. Why is the Jewish calendar now have the beginning of the year in September, October, when in reality, it was supposed to be March. And if you look at the Gregorian calendar, it's actually the same thing.
It was one of the rulers of the Empire of Rome that changed it. If you look at September, except that's seven, October, October, October, October, October, 9, December, 10, January, 11, February, 12. Why do we put our leap year? Remember when we have a leap year on our calendar? Why do we put it at the end of February? Why don't we put it at the end of December? - Interesting, it's because that original calendar, the Gregorian calendar, the one we live on, was under the same months as the ancient Jewish calendar. Now, the complication becomes the Jewish calendar is 360 days, plus four equinox days and a leap year every seven years. I think it was the Gregorian calendar, we have 365.25 days. So this guy figured out how to convert the Gregorian calendar into the Jewish, ancient Jewish calendar, and years later, this is what's really interesting. I know I'm getting a little complex, but hopefully everybody's following me. There's a guy named Robert Anderson that lived in the 1800s, and he was the chief of Scotland Yard, and he was an English lawyer and a serious student of the book of Daniel. He recreated this calendar as well, and you know what's really interesting? Both he and Julius, Julius and Robert, both, Julius in the third century, Robert in the 1800s,
their work perfectly matches. - Wow. - So I think I can speak with confidence. - Wait, when was Julius's work discovered? - In the third century. - But when was it discovered? - In the fragments in 1948. - So it was after. - It was after. - It was after. - Yes, okay, so it's pretty amazing. The Dead Sea Scrolls being discovered in 1948 is just the most remarkable, because those scrolls, many of them, were dated 150 years before Christ, which would include the Bible. Book of Isaiah being the first scroll that was found, but they found other ancient Jewish father's writings as well in those scrolls, okay? So that's what Julius worked off of, but his was lost as well, okay? So to not get too complicated, if you take the date, March 14th, and I'm gonna take the middle of the month, 444 BC, all right? And you add 483 years, converting it into the ancient Jewish calendar, right? You come to pass over 32 AD, 483 years. you add 483 Jewish years, ancient Jewish years, and you come up with Gabriel prophesying. You come up to Passover 32,
specifically the exact date, April 6th, 30 AD, which guys that are much smarter may looked at that, and that was the exact day that Jesus wrote in Jerusalem on a donkey. Now, I'm gonna read right from my notes. The date of April 6th would have been the day Jesus wrote in Jerusalem on the donkey. This is why those who believed he was the Messiah, those who recognized the time of their visitation, came out with palm branches and garments, laying them on the ground. Why did they do that? Because they knew what Zechariah prophesied. Zechariah 9.9, rejoice, O people of Zion, shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem. Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey. So this is absolutely remarkable. These people, and you see, you've got the Pharisees, you've got the Sadducees, and you've got the Essenes. The reason you never see Jesus rebuking the Essenes is because they were really accurate. They had it right. And the people who were influenced by the Essenes are the people that came out with their palm branches and their garments, because here comes their king. They know this is our king riding on the donkey. Okay, saying, no, they're time of their visitation. Most of Jerusalem didn't.
- Is that, 'cause I feel like a lot of people make this reference of, well, then you have those same people that were laying down palms and shouting for joy, are the same people who are crucifying. Is that, so that's not true. Okay. - It was the Jews that were influenced by the Pharisees or Sadducees. They were fair, very corrupt. They're the ones that actually corrupted the calendar. - Interesting. - They're the ones that gave the modern day Jewish calendar. - Wow. - They changed it from solar to lunar. When originally, God had said, no, Nisan is the first month, which is March. It's really interesting, and I know it's this fascinating. - I kind of geek out on this kind of stuff. So please people, I'm trying to make it as simple as possible. So the question we now have to ask, does God give the timeline for the final week? 'Cause remember, it was 483 years. It was 69 sets. You had the seven and the 62, you get 69. Does God give the time period of the 70th week? - Yes, he does. - Okay, now this is where it gets really interesting, all right? First of all, let's go back to our book that we're studying from Second Peter, all right? Peter says, most importantly,
remember we highlighted most importantly last podcast. I wanna remind you, then the last day, scoffers will come mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, what happened to the promise of Jesus coming again? For before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world has first created. They, who, the mockers, all right? Deliberately forget that God made the heavens and earth long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world and the mighty flood. In other words, all Peter's saying here is, this is the same God that caused Israel to walk through the Dead Sea on dry ground. This is the same God that caused the whole earth to be flooded with water. And you're thinking, he can't come for his church. - Yeah. - All right, so that's why he's saying that. And by the same word, this present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment when ungodly people will be destroyed. And here's what Peter says, but you must not forget one thing.
It's not, wait a minute, this is interesting. They forget, but you must not forget. Do you see the contrast, okay? He said in verse five, they deliberately forget, but he said, but you must not forget this one thing. So we're getting into something important again. A day is like 1,000 years to the Lord and 1,000 years is like a day. So God tells us one of his days is 1,000 of our years. Peter said, don't you forget this, okay? So now, which can I even say just to show this, is the time period from creation to the flooding of the earth is around 16, 1700 years. So in that time period, they forgot all the people living on earth, they forgot what God was capable of, what God had done, and they'd wandered so far away from them, except for one righteous man. Noah, who preached for 120 years. - Yeah. - Can you go back 120 years, you're back to 1925, 26, 1925, 26 era, that great depression hadn't even happened. I mean, it hasn't even happened yet. World War II hasn't even happened yet, okay? Noah's preaching for 100 years, a flood is coming, and they're like, they had never seen rain before. - Not only that, but he's preaching, and he's doing what he's preaching. Like he is building, he's building. probably a hammer, he being hit onto some things and thinking, "Oh, there's no..."
- A massive boat, a 450 long feet long, I think it is, in 60 feet wide. - 300 cubic feet long. - Yeah, which is, I think, 450 in our terms today. - Yeah, I think so, yeah. - I think you imagine doing that for, he's obeying. - Right, remember, we're blessed because we obey. - He's not just standing there, y'all laying at them for 120 years, he's preaching to them and doing what he's preaching about. And saying, "Look, here's the salvation of the one. "I'm continuing to be doing it." They have a reminder every single day, but yet not a single one of them responds. Like, that's sobering in 1,600 years yet than how many years since Jesus? - 2,000 years? - Yeah, I mean, I was curious if you had the exact time of that long. - Okay. - All your dates on that. - Well, 32 A.D. - 32 A.D. - Would be, in 2032-- - We're coming up on 2,000 years. - On our great-grain calendar, it would be exactly 2,000 years. - No, okay. - In our calendar. - In our calendar. - Yes, correct. - So, again, but you must remember a day with the Lord as 1,000 years.
So, one of God's days is 1,000 over a year. So, does God give the timing of that 70th week? That's what we're asking, he does. I believe he does. To get it, you gotta go to the book of Ozea, chapter five. Chapter five, verse 14, listen to these words. This is God speaking through the prophet. For I will be like a lion to Israel and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear them and go away. Wait a minute, go away, okay? I will take them away and no one shall rescue them. I will, now listen to this, I will return again. Now, wait a minute, for him to say, I will return again means that he left somewhere, went somewhere and then went back to somewhere. I will return again, okay. So, Jesus came to this earth and he went back again to where he came from. Right afterwards, God tore Jerusalem as Jesus foretold, right? - Yeah. - I will return again to my place until they Israel acknowledged their offense. Then they will seek my face in their affliction. They will earnestly seek me. That affliction that he's talking about is what the Bible calls Jacob's troubles. That is the seven year tribulation. Now, isn't it interesting that there's one week of years left, a seven year tribulation?
So now you gotta keep going, but it's chapter six, verse one, but this is all the same thing. This is Israel speaking. Come and let us, Israel, return to the Lord, for he has torn us, but he'll heal us. He is stricken, but he will bind us up. Now, look at this, after two days. Okay, what did Peter say? You must not forgive this one thing. - Yeah. - After 2,000 years, he will revive us. When did Israel become a nation again? May 14th, 1948. Can you imagine a people, a nation, being scattered all over the world to the four corners of the earth and God bringing them back to their land? - 1948. - Okay, but they're back in the land, but they haven't returned to the Lord yet. - Yeah, no. - Okay, they're back in their land. And he promised that in Isaiah 11, he said, "The second time I will gather you "from all the nations of the world." So he gathered them back from Persia, Babylon, in the first one, but he said, "I will a second time gather you from the nations of the world." Let's talk about the last days. Come, let us return to the Lord for his torn,
but he is healed us. He is stricken, he will bind us up. After 2,000 years, I'm gonna read it that way. He will revive us, that's Israel. And on the third day, that's the third thousandth year, that would be the thousand year millennial reign of Christ that we will see on the next podcast. We will see it, that book of Revelation talks about specifically. On the third thousand, that's when Jesus is gonna rule and reign on earth and show us how it should have been done. On the third thousandth year, he will raise us up that we may live in his sight. Sight, sight, see how that's emphasized? He'll actually be on this earth, reigning from Jerusalem. And you and I and all the saints of God will be reigning with him, oh my gosh. So they go on to say, let us know and let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord, his going forth. So that's coming back from where he returned to, is established as the morning. Okay, stop right there. Established as the morning. Does the sun ever come up at 11 o'clock in the morning? - No. - Here? - No. - And now, Alaska maybe. Can we predict the exact time that the sun is coming up every morning? - Yeah.
So in other words, we don't know the day or the hour. We do, and I can't emphasize that enough, but we know the generation, 'cause Jesus Himself said that generation will not pass until this happens. And we're gonna talk about that in a future podcast. So let's talk about the millennial reign. On the third day, he'll raise us up that we may live in a site, Revelation 20. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. He sees the dragon, that old serpent who is the devil, Satan, and bound him in chains for a thousand years. The third day, that's the third day. He'll raise us up to live in a site, right? The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked. So Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished, the end of the third day. Afterwards, he must be released for a little while. Then I saw thrones and the people sitting on them had been getting an authority to judge. What did Paul say? We will judge the world. Paul said we will judge angels. So who's on those thrones? The church, his bride, okay? And I saw the souls that those who have been beheaded
for their testimony about Jesus for proclaiming the word of God. That's the murids of people that are gonna get saved in the great tribulation, okay? They had not worshiped the beast or a statue, nor accepted his mark on their forehead or on their hands. They all came to life again, and they rained with Christ for a thousand years. So we and the tribulation saints that were killed and martyred will reign with Christ on this earth for a thousand years. That's the third day he'll raise us up that we may live in the site. And Paul said, when the time of the Gentiles was fulfilled, all of Israel's gonna be saved. In other words, Israel's gonna go, oh my gosh, we crucified our Messiah. There's gonna be a massive revival because why? God's gonna have 144 Jewish thousand Jewish evangelists, and Paul said, all of Israel's gonna be saved. - Can I make sure we don't skip? - We're getting so excited. - Yeah, I wanna make sure you don't skip or something. So you did say they had not worshiped the beast or his statues or nor accepted his mark on their forehead or on their hands. - Yes. - The mark of the beast. - Yes.
- This is something that I think a lot of people, I mean, I would love to hear your opinion. A lot of people have a lot of theories, a lot of different things. A lot of people think it was Nero, like even the 666 is that Nero's name, actually, if you take the numerology of his name, it actually comes out to 666, but... - Here's what I believe in all my heart. - I don't wanna just skip over that. And we're getting to not about three podcasts from now. - Okay, 'cause this is... But the prophetic words that you see in Revelation and the prophetic words that you see with Jesus, many of them have double fulfillment. I will actually show everyone in a future podcast in not many, many too far, how there is already a absolute definite double fulfillment on one of the end time prophetic scriptures. And I will show them how it happened in the time period of Jesus first coming and how it's happening in the time period of his second coming, okay? So yes, Nero was a type. But there is an antichrist, because let me tell you what's not happened, the revelations talks about. What about those two false prophets? Excuse me, the two prophets of God that are in Jerusalem, they're calling down fire, right?
They're resisting the antichrist and he kills them and the whole world watches it. And the third day God raises them from the dead and they're ascended. That didn't happen in the time of Nero. So you see, the book of Revelation has an application. And beside Revelation was written in 95 AD. - Yeah. - All the thing with Nero happened between 60 and 70 AD. So there's kind of a, yeah, there was a fulfillment and it happened, but it's going to happen. - It's going to happen. - Yes, yes. - And very good. - I'm glad you're saying the whole world could watch it too, which we're in a day and age where the whole world could watch it. - Right. - And that's what's always like interests me. And we talked about this a little bit yesterday, but like the second coming of Jesus, him descending from the heavens, the whole world could see that happen. It's not just the people that are in that area where Jesus is descending. It's the whole world. We'll see that. How does the whole world not just wake up in that moment and just realize maybe that is the realization, oh my goodness, we crucified our Messiah.
- You know, you know what I'm thinking? We've got so much to go through. I just wonder if we've done enough and maybe next time we come back and we start with Hosea five and break it down verse by verse by verse and show how it correlates with some of the things that Jesus taught. I mean, I think we've given everybody a lot to think about right now. - But as you can see, his going forth is established as the morning and if Jesus gives us this time period of the Gentiles, has been about 2,000, is about 2,000 years because Jesus is crucified in 32 AD, the destruction of the temple is in 70 AD. If you do 2,000 years in our calendar from 70 AD, you come to 2070 AD, we know and the Essenes taught it that this has got to occur by 2075 AD, and I believe even sooner. But I do, I do, there's so much more to share, let's just do it in the next podcast and we'll pick up here with Isaiah's prophecies, that sounds good. All right, so do we want to review or do we think we've got it? Mass deception, people walking away from the faith, they're being misled, Gabriel says there's going to be 490 years determined for your Jewish people. We've already lived through 483 of those years, there's still 7 years left, that 7 years is going to be the tribulation, in that tribulation, all of Israel is going to be awakened, they're going to come to God and I'll explain why in the next program. So I think everybody's going to be waiting with Beta Breath for this next podcast, but until then, this has been the John Bevere podcast with Arden Bevere and myself, John Bevere. [BLANK_AUDIO]
