coming will be much greater than the Book of Acts." And I remember I had just gone through the book of Acts. I said, "Lord, I know what happened in the Book of Acts. How can it be seven times greater the latter rank?" Most prophecies would be fulfilled in the final 50 years of an age. They called the final 50 years the final Jubilee. What is interesting is this year, Israel has declared as the year of Jubilee. The Roman Catholic Church has declared it's the year of Jubilee, which means we're in the final 50 years. My personal belief is that we... Hey everybody, welcome to the Jambavir podcast. I'm joined by my son, Arden. Arden, so good to be on with you and our new studio. This is absolutely amazing what the team has done. I just can't brag enough on our team. They've done an incredible job. They really have. And they're fun to work with. We have a great time around here at Messenger. We work hard, but we laugh a lot. I even come in sometimes and they're playing mini Frisbee. The Frisbee is about that. You know, the screen might have changed that. We've got to find a new game for us. We don't want to damage the screen, right? I couldn't agree more. That screen was a long time in waiting for us. But you know, Arden, we're talking about Second Peter, and it's amazing how Second Peter applies to this very day. I really believe that God in his heart had the day we're living in. When he moved on Peter to write this book, it is so relevant to what we're experiencing today as a church, as a society, and getting us ready for the soon, soon return of Jesus Christ. You know, there are a list of things. And I'm convinced. The more I study, the more I realize how much I don't know about this, and the more I realize this is the reason the early church talked about it, they would actually have times that they would gather together, and all they would do was talk about prophecy. Did you know that? Because prophecy, it does something in your heart. It keeps you in expectant hope. And if you remember, Simeon had that expectant hope of the coming of the Messiah on his first coming. That's why he recognized him. And God intended for us to, in the fear of the Lord, talk about a second coming, not to get lazy, but to get fired up, to be passionate about the work of the kingdom. I feel like that's what people like to do with conspiracy theories. Like nowadays, it's like they get together and they talk about conspiracy theories, flat earth and things like that. But I think if we kind of shifted our conversations to even be talking about more of the second coming and the end time, what that's going to look like. I think you're going to have a lot more purposeful conversations and a lot more expectations within it. Now, I really felt led of the Holy Spirit to sit down and list out what the scripture
teaches are the events that will take place right before Jesus is coming. We have so much written about it. Jesus talks so much about it that it's easy to talk about these things. Now, I'm leaving out the birth pangs. I'm not talking about the earthquakes. I'm not talking about the tsunamis. I'm not talking about the famines and the pestilences. We are seeing that that has been happening. We do see it like birth pangs. So they're becoming more frequently. I don't feel like that's the number one sign. The number one sign is be careful that you're not deceived. The Greek word Palumbo, which means literally fear off course. Yeah. And the one that you can control. Right. Like you can't control the birth pains that are probably happening, but you can control if you're deceived. You can control not being deceived. So maybe pay attention to that one. The pay attention to that one, because the Bible says be doers of the word, not here is only deceiving your own self. You know, I always say this deception is so scary. Why? Because it's deceiving. The person who's deceived believes with all their heart. They're right. How many people today of those 66 million people that have walked away from the faith? How many of those people believe they're just fine with Jesus? Yeah. I mean, you know, they're fine with God. Maybe the atheist, even the agnostics are thinking, if there is a God, I'll be fairly decent to people, you know, he'll weigh out my good and my bad. I mean, they've literally drifted so far from the truth. And that is the first one on the list because in second thessalonians, it says, let no one deceive you by any means for that day will not come. He's talking about the day in which the Antichrist will be revealed, which is right at the end just before Jesus is coming. That day will not come unless the falling away comes first. And again, which is what we talked about last time, the apostasy. It's the apostasy of the falling away from the faith. We talked about the 66 million Americans that are not walking with Jesus after 20 years, which is heartbreaking. But today I want to go to the second big sign that's going to show his second coming. And that is this, the latter ring. This one, I'm really excited. I'm gonna read out of the book of James, chapter five, verses seven and eight. Therefore, be patient. Now, patience, we got to review what it means. It means consistent.
It means constancy. - Yeah. - Doesn't mean just, you know, hey, be kind while you're waiting for the doctor to come out and call your name. - Yeah. - That's a form of patience. But patient, when you hear the word patient, you need to be, hear the word consistent. Be consistent, brethren, until the coming of the Lord, see how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth. Now, what is the precious fruit of the earth? - Souls. - Souls. It's people. - Yeah. - That's who Jesus died for. It's not cars, it's not houses, it's not clothes. It's not popularity. - Yeah. - It's souls, okay? See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth waiting patiently for it. Now, okay, what's the waiting for? Until it, the fruit receives the early rain and the later rain. - Mm-hmm. - You also be patient, establish your hearts. In other words, establish it in truth, the Bible says. For the coming of the Lord, look at this, is near. So here's Peter writing in the first century, the coming of the Lord is near, because he knows. And I want to explain this again in case, somebody will listen, if I live in Tennessee and let's say you were to live, which please don't do, in Minneapolis, I was too cold.
And I said, "Arden, I'm coming soon." - Yeah. - And it was two days away. - Yeah, preparing. - So a day with the Lord's a thousand years. For Peter to write this 2,000 years ago, yes, it's soon. Now, soon in God's timetable, it wasn't soon in our timetable. But there's a reason God wanted us to have that, and that was for urgency. That was for staying close, because the person who says the Lord delays us coming is the person that becomes worldly. That is so clear in the Book of Luke and in the Book of Matthew. - All right, and they have the ability to write that right after they spent time with Jesus. That's amazing to me, that they're seeing that coming of the Lord is near. How much more do we need to live with that urgency? - Wow. - Go ahead, sorry. - Okay, but he's waiting patiently until the fruit receives the early rain and the later rain. So let's talk about the early rain in order to set up the later rain. Does that make sense? - Mm-hmm. - All right, so many people ask us, how does John and Arden go so deep in their study? It's easy. We have this program called Logos. I have been using it for years. I use it to write books, Arden.
I use it for my podcast. I have my notes on one page of the computer, and the Logos is right next to it. I can go into the root word studies. I can go back to the original. I can see what was happening in the time period. It's absolutely amazing. It's a game changer. - And not only that, but Logos is offering everyone who signs up right now for this limited time offer. 60 days free. - Okay, that's amazing. - That's amazing. - It is completely free for you. So please, please do not miss this chance. Go to Logos, so l-o-g-o-s.com/bevere. And you can sign up right there. Not only that though, there is a video, that's a Zoom call that we did, that shows you how to better use it, because if you have a tool and you don't know how to use it, you probably won't use it. And we want people using this every single day, because it will help them go deeper in their studying of the word. - So everybody, just click the link below, and we can jump right back into our study. - What is the early reign? It began on the day of Pentecast. That's when the prophet Joel and Peter said, "This is what Joel prophesied. I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh."
What is all flesh means every nationality, not just the Jewish nation. I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters will prophesy your men's servants, and your maid's servants. I will pour out my spirit and they shall prophesy. On and on and on. Young men see dreams, dream dreams, your old men. Excuse me, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. - Okay, Peter actually attributed. He said, "This is what Joel prophesied." - Yeah. - All right, so what happened? Spirit of God was poured out. Here's 120 people hiding in an upper room. The Spirit of God falls on them, and He comes with such a roar that it gets the attention of the entire city of Jerusalem. Now, Jerusalem, in my understanding, had about a half a million people dwelling in it at that time. - Wow. - Gets the intention of the entire city because not only you've got Jerusalem's inhabitants, you've got all the people that have come from the nations, all of the world because it was the festival of first fruits, which is the feast of Pentecost, right? So maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they said there was a half a million because of all the visitors that had come in,
but there was a half a million people. It got the attention of the whole city. So here Peter stands up, starts preaching the Word of God. Looks right at him and says, "You crucified the Lord." He said, "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins." And you will receive the gift. What's the gift? The outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which you see in here. Because they all saw these untrained disciples speaking the Word of God in languages they had never studied. And they were like, "Whoa, God is doing something, right?" Oh, this is so exciting. Okay. So 3,000 people get saved. Arden, we did the off-god tour. We were so excited when we saw 2,000 people come out, you know, and we should be. But we had to do a lot of planning for that, okay? And all my friends that do conferences, they have to do a lot of advertising and planning. These guys didn't do a thing. They just were in the upper room. They were doing what Jesus said, waiting for the promise of the Father. Consistent. And the Spirit of God pours out and the whole city. The whole city hears the Word of God and 3,000 people get saved. Okay, I want meetings like that. I called that a divine interruption and I'm ready for that. And I believe this is what we're walking into, but I'm getting at it myself. So 3,000 people get saved. And that's men only. So who knows how many women and children? Okay. So now, the next day, it might not be the next day, but it's soon afterwards, Peter and John are walking into the temple. And there's a crippled man there that was laid at the temple daily, who by the way, Jesus probably walked by him many times. That's interesting. That is interesting. He's got a beggar's coat on. He's begging, hoping to get silver and gold from Peter. Peter says silver and gold I don't have. But what I got, I'm going to give to you. And the name of Jesus, get up and walk. He didn't say, God, please heal this man. He said, the name of Jesus, get up and walk. The guy gets up and starts walking and leaping. It gets the attention of everybody, right? Because this is the gateway into the main part of the temple area. They all would have seen him. They would have gone past him and they're going, what? This is the beggar we have seen for years and years, decades, some of them. He's running and leaping. So now you get a crowd, again, no planning, no Instagram, no Facebook announcements, no advertisement, no email blasts. You got a crowd and 5,000 get
safe. And before even Peter and John can give the altar call because they get arrested. 5,000 people get safe. I mean, are you hearing what's happening? So if we go to the next chapter, here's Peter and John arrested and they get out and all the disciples start praying together and it acts 431. Do you know what it says? The entire building shook. Now the Bible can't exaggerate for the building to shake. It's got a shake. I've never been to a prayer meeting before because I'm believing I will be. We're the building shakes. I've been in a arena when the wind of God blew and the people start going like in Brazil where we had an entire arena, thousands of people in the wind blew and we heard it and I had people 20 years later telling me their life has never been the same. I want to see a building shake. I want to pray. Maybe we'll be doing a podcast in the whole building with shakers. Maybe we'll be doing a service somewhere, but I'm looking for this. But anyway, I'm getting to that because I'll just say this, you challenge our team every single morning. Pray fervently. And you're so passionate about that when you share that, not from a standpoint of, I think it's good for even when our team decides this is not from a standpoint of like, Hey, this is how I want you to pray because this is what I want you to do. But you're like, I want to see the ladder rain. I want to see this happen. This is why we pray fervently. This is why I want to see God move. So I love seeing your passion on this. I mean, it's true. It's true. And so I look at this in Acts chapter four, the Bible says they all lifted their voices. And I remember the day I told the staff and said, No, you can't pray quietly. I said, I don't want loud just to have loud. But I said, I want it out of a heart of faith that just it explodes. I didn't plan to come on being this excited. Yeah, I honestly did. We were all talking in a normal toner voice before this thing started. And what happened? I'm just so excited. I feel so filled with the spirit of God right now announcing this. Okay. So now we have a guy come from Cyprus who puts a massive offering at Peter's feet at the end of Acts chapter four. And then all of a sudden this husband and wife go, Oh my gosh, we've been out done in this offering. Let's go sell our big plot of land, but we don't want to give it all. We'll just say we gave it all, right? So they bring their offering, put it Peter's feet and say this. Hey, we sold our big plot of land. This is what we got. Peter said, ananias the husband. Is this really what you got? Why have you lied to the Holy Spirit and the guy falls over dead? And they buried him three hours later. Here comes his wife. Yeah, she lies too. She falls over dead in the presence of God. They bury her. And you know what the Bible says? Acts five, 11. Great fear came upon the entire
church. Doesn't say great fear came upon the city. It does say great fear came upon all the where these things, but it also says... Okay? So then, what happens right after that guy and his wife fall over dead? Listen to this, Acts 5, 15. As a result of the apostles' work, six people were brought out into the streets. Stop and think about the streets, not the street, the streets on beds and mats, so that Peter's shadow might fall across some of them as he went by. Crowds came from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all a double L healed. Now, I just need everybody to stop and think about this. Peter's walking down the streets of Jerusalem, and all his shadow has to do is touch him. That's how much power is flowing out of him. That'd be like you, Arden, walking through Vanderbilt Hospital here in Nashville, walking through the hallways, and when you're done walking through all the hallways, every bed's emptied, and everybody's out in the streets. That's what this is. That's amazing to me. Okay, but yet this is the early rain. Okay, now we look at Acts 6, 7. It says, "Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly." Not just multiplied. If the Bible says greatly, it's greatly. So, multiply greatly means exponentially. The number of the disciples was multiplying, and a great many of the priests, even the priests, became obedient to the faith. But now, it just didn't happen in Jerusalem, because now the persecution starts in Jerusalem, and now the disciples start scattering to cities all around, and the apostles stayed back in Jerusalem, and Philip goes down to this city called Samaria, and he starts preaching Christ. The entire city comes out to this meeting. Okay, Philip did not have, he did not have Facebook, he did not have Instagram. He did not have email blast. He didn't have even posters. They don't have posters, but the entire city comes out. Sorcerer, a sorcerer gets saved. A sorcerer. This is crazy when you think about it. And the Bible says there was great joy in the city, and there were so many people saved. They had to send a Peter and John from Jerusalem, because remember the apostles stayed back. They came down so they could get filled with the Holy Spirit. And so, I'm going to read in Acts 8. It says crowds listened intently to Philip, because they were eager to hear his message, and see the miraculous signs he did. Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims, and many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed, so there was great joy in the city. Can I ask you a question? As it said before, it said all, so everyone that Peter had touched, the shadow had touched, but then here it says many. Do you have any thoughts around why it's
kind of many instead of all that are coming? I look at Jesus, he walked by that guy that was paralyzed for three and a half years, and because he said, "I only do what I see my father doing," and his father didn't say, "I want you to raise that guy up," because the father said, "I'm going to wait for Peter and John when they get filled with the Holy Spirit to do it." That one man is a result of 5,000 people getting saved, so you never know what God does in that. That's amazing. Jesus walks in the pool of Bethesda. One man is crippled for 38 years, I think it was 38 years, and Jesus heals him and walks out and leaves everybody else. I mean, you will see several places, several places in Matthew's gospel especially, where it says Jesus healed everyone, all of them. You will see times in the epistles, and I believe this is a part of the early reign. You see many, many or all, because I'm going to show you some things that are going to be mind-blowing them, because we're going to look at two other cities. We're going to look at Litta and Sharon. These are two cities. What happens? There's a guy named Anneas who's bedridden and paralyzed for eight years. Peter sees him, and Peter says, "Anneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole. The guy gets up and jumps up and starts walking." I've got it actually here. Peter said to him, "Anneas, Jesus heals you, get up, roll up your sleep in that," and he was healed instantly. Now listen to this. The whole population of Litta and Sharon saw Anneas walking around, and they turned to the Lord. Two old cities get saved, no Facebook, no email blast, no posters, no radio, no TV. I mean, this is amazing, right? Okay, now. Peter, the people in Japa, which Japa's near Litta and Sharon, the people in Japa hear about Peter being there, so they send a messenger and say, "Peter, please come over to Japa because name was Tabitha. I don't know. Don't quote me on that. But anyway, she was a woman that was greatly beloved by the church, but she died. I don't know what her age was or anything, but Peter comes in, he kneels down and he prays, and he looks, he walks over to Tabitha and says, Tabitha, get up. And she got up from the dead in verse 42, Acts 9, 42, and it became known throughout all Japa and many believed in the Lord. So we are seeing cities come to Jesus, right? Now, this continues because if you go further into Acts 17, after Paul is going to the whole known world, places in Asia and all else, this is what the people said. These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Now, what do I see in the book of Acts that is so different from the revivals that we've had in the past 100 years? I'm talking about the Welsh revival, Azusa revival, the Kansas City outpouring, the Brownsville revival recently.
Asbury. Asbury, very good. What had to happen? You had to travel to Asbury to get into that move. You had to travel to Brownsville to get into that move. With the rain, the early rain, wherever they went, he fell on people just like he did in Jerusalem. So rain, you got to think of rain covering the whole territory. The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. So, let's go to the latter rain. Let's read it again. Therefore, be patient-breathered until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and the latter rain. Now, I want to talk about the latter rain. Now, let's make it really clear. The feast of Pentecost was first fruits. The feast of tabernacles is the final harvest. Tabernacles represents the second coming of Jesus. Pentecost, well, it represents Pentecost. So, you can see there's an early rain for the first fruits, but there's a latter rain and the latter rain, this is what's really cool, the harvest is massive. Much bigger than the early. Hey everybody, we'll get back to the episode in just a moment. But first, I want to thank the patrons, make this podcast possible. Your support behind the scenes is critical sharing these messages. So thank you. To become a patron, just click the link in the show description or go to jambavir.com/patron. Now, let's get back to the show. So, even what we've been talking about, though, in the last episode, you're talking about 20, 75, kind of what the timeline is looking. So obviously, Penta, meaning 50, do you think there's any significance within the next 50 years of the latter rain? That's a very good question and a fair question. These scenes, okay, taught from the Jewish fathers that most prophecies would be fulfilled in the final 50 years of an age come. They called the final 50 years the final jubilee. What is interesting is this year, because of the year of jubilee, Israel has declared as the year of jubilee. The Roman Catholic Church has declared it's the year of jubilee, 2025, which means we have 50 years. We're in the final 50 years. You see all of this happening in that 50 years between the age of Torah and the age of Christ, between 25 AD and 74 AD. All this is happening. So my personal belief is that we in these next 50 years are going to see the latter rain. And when God showed me one day, he said, "Son, you won't have to ask is this the latter rain?" You will say, "This is that." Peter didn't say, "Is this the former rain?" Everybody is hearing about Jesus in Jerusalem. All these people getting sick, no,
he said, "This is that," which the prophet Joel spoke about. Now I'm going to show. Well, can I say this before we move on just really quick, because I think some people will hear the year of jubilee and not fully understand what that means. But I think even that being declared of this being the year of jubilee is so purposeful for what we have seen over the past like five, 10 years of honestly such division, such strife, such just separation, churches separating, doctrine separating people. The year of jubilee is what it's a for your willingness, release your release from your master, release those indebted to you, you released anything that's going to get into you. And I would encourage people. that are in your life and say, God, what have I not released? What relationships have I not released? What people have I not fully forgiven? What am I still holding onto? - What's holding me slave? - Exactly, because I don't want to miss out on what is to come. Because you can't forgive the, we see it within the parable of the king who forgives the debt. You can't forgive or you can't be forgiven of something if you're not forgetting. - For giving of the unplayable debt. - Yeah, when you're not forgiving a fraction of that. - Exactly. And so I just think it's a good encouragement if you're then learning like, why does it feel like all these things are happening to me? Look at your relationships. Look at what the things that you've been holding onto, especially in this year of the year of Jubilee.
- You know, Jesus said that many are going to be offended right before a second coming. A fence will actually keep somebody from experiencing the outpouring of God. It'll actually, there's got to be-- - It hardens their hearts. - It hardens their hearts. And that's why, you know, that's gonna be-- - That's why it says when you-- - It's one of the 14 we're gonna be talking about. - When you get into the presence of God and you realize you have unforgiveness to your brother or your brother has unforgiveness against you. - Go, go to him. - Go, right there. - This thing settled. - That's not just a nice thing to do. That is a go, you're not gonna be able to experience what I have for you. - All right, so God spoke to me in 1988. I was a youth pastor. And he said, "Son, what is coming? "The outpouring of my spirit that is coming "will be much greater than the Book of Acts." He actually said this to me. He said, "It'll be seven times greater than the Book of Acts." So I want everybody to stop and think about everything we just talked about. I want you to multiply it by seven times. Now, I remember when God said this to me, I said, "Lord, I need scripture.
"I can't believe this." I have, and I remember I had just gone through the Book of Acts. I said, "Lord, I know what happened in the Book of Acts. "How can it be seven times greater than the latter rain?" And scripture started flowing through me like crazy. Then this is back in 1988. And Lord said, "Son, you're gonna see this." So let's go back to Joel chapter two, where he's talking about blowing the trumpet, forming a sacred assembly, fasting and praying, and repentance, okay? This is what always pre-cludes. Is pre-cludes the right word? Am I saying the right thing? Pre-seeds, I'm sorry. Pre-seeds, this is what precedes a great move of God. Any great move of God you've seen in the past, you see genuine repentance, genuine humility, genuine crying out to God, informing a sacred assembly. So Joel says in 223, "Be glad than you children of Zion, "and rejoice in the Lord God, for he has given you "the former rain moderately." Okay, now, the new King James says faithfully, I'm reading from the King James. So now Joel says, according to the King James version, he's given you the former rain moderately. So the former rain is the Book of Acts. - Yeah. - What's coming is gonna be moderate. If this is an inaccurate scripture,
if, in other words, if the real, real meaning is faithfully, then I've got more to back it. But I think it's interesting that Joel said, "Hey, he gave you the former rain moderately." In other words, letter rain is gonna be massive. All right, so now, this is what Peter quoted on the day of Pentecost, and I'm gonna show you that applies not only to the day of Pentecost, but applies to our day. And it shall come to pass afterward that I'll pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. And also on my med servants and on my maid servants, I will pour out, see, there's rain, pour out my spirit in those days, and I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. This didn't happen in Acts. Even though Peter said this is that, which the prophet Joel prophesied, because prophecies in the Bible, many times have two fulfillments, okay? The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and terrible or awesome day of the Lord. See, the second coming of Jesus is called great and terrible for a reason. It's great for his people. It's terrible for the people who don't believe.
- Yeah. - Okay, so you can see Joel is actually prophesying here. If you really want to get specific, he's actually the time period is the second coming. Even though Peter, and that Peter was not incorrect, there's a double fulfillment. It's the early rain and the latter rain, okay? So in other words, Joel is talking about both rains here, but he specifically attaches the second coming of Jesus "wouldn't later on say, 'Will that rain occurred?' "Peter said it occurred on the day of Pentecost. "We're just going to exist until Jesus returns. "Oh, no, baby. "We're gonna have an outpouring of God's spirit "and it's gonna be an awakening like the world has never seen." And you know what God says in Zechariah chapter 10 verse one, "Ask me for rain in the time of the letter rain." Everybody listen to me. I want you to start asking God to pour out the letter rain 'cause it's the time of the letter rain, okay? - And I think, can I ask you a question? 'Cause I think a lot of people have always, or have some mindset that, oh no, what happened in the book of Acts, what happened in the Bible ended in the book of Acts, and it's not meant for us. Like speaking in tongues, seeing these signs and wonders and miracles, seeing the outpouring in that way. Maybe what I'm trying to figure is how do you look at the scriptures and still think that way?
Is it just-- - That's people that aren't rightly divine. So I think it's interesting that God put this specifically about the second coming so that people couldn't say, oh, it's done, it's passed away. - Yeah. No way. - Would their argument, could it be even though that it was just, well, that was right after the first coming of Jesus, and then now you'll see these signs and wonders only when you're getting closer to the second coming. So people wouldn't be able to do those things if it wasn't getting closer to the second coming. - I mean, could that be their argument within that? - No, they're not, no. - It's dismissed. - People that say that say that when the perfect comes, that which is in part will be done away with, and they say the perfect is the Bible. No, because when the perfect comes, it makes it very clear we will see him, and we will know him as we are known. We will see him, right, and know him as he is known. That hadn't happened, and that won't happen until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. So which would the perfect come would that also be in reference to what Jesus, the perfect coming of Jesus, the representation of him, and then them being able to see him and know him?
- I believe so, because we will know him, we will know as we are known, and that's not gonna happen, Arden. We know I'm part right now. We prophesy and part right now. It's not gonna happen until we see him face to face. - Yeah, okay. - And so I remember I said, Lord, that's one scripture. So the one scripture, remember I said, Lord, I gotta have two or three scriptures on this. All right, he gave you the former rain moderately, okay? Then the Lord spoke to me, he said, what did Hegei prophesy? And he did, in chapter two, verse nine, I knew this, the glory of the latter temple. Let me say it like this, the glory of the latter church should be greater than the former, the former being the book of Acts, the latter, the church before a second coming, which tie that back together with what you were saying with Zacharias, you gotta cry out, the church needs to cry out for that rain in the time of the latter rain. Then he said, what does Ecclesiastes say? Ecclesiastes seven, eight, the end of a thing is better than the beginning. Then the Lord said to me, didn't I save the best wine for last? Went, oh my goodness, but then he gave me the scripture that sealed the deal.
Are you ready for this one? Isaiah 30, oh people of Zion who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries. Though the Lord gave you adversity, now remember he's talking to Israel right now, he gave you adversity for your food and suffering for your drink. He will still be with you and teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. So this is talking about the time of the second coming. Then you will destroy all your silver idols, your precious gold images. You will throw them out like filthy rags saying, good riddance. In other words, I'm done with idolatry. I'm done with covetous because the sin of idolatry in the New Testament is the sin of covetous. 'Cause you love the world's goods more and you love the kingdom of God, right? All right, then, now listen to this, verse 23. Then the Lord will bless you with rain. Later rain. In that day, the moon will be as bright as the sun and the sun will be seven times brighter. Hold on. When there were rains here in Nashville, does the sun seven times brighter? There is absolutely no way.
He is talking about the natural. He's talking about, I'll give you the rain because you've thrown away your idolatry and you've returned to me with all of your heart. I'll give you the rain of my spirit, the latter rain. And in that day, the moon, what's the moon? It reflects the glory of the sun. So in other words, are you getting this? His people, a rise shine for the lightest come, the glory of the Lord's risen upon you. For behold, darkness is gonna cover the earth and deep darkness to people, but the Lord is gonna rise on you Jewish man and say, 'Take me to your God.'" They're going to say, "We see he's with you. We want him." So in Acts they didn't have to put up all the advertising. They're going to be like, "There's shine itself right there." We see Jesus in you, oh my gosh, I'm so excited because why the glory of this new covenant is so much greater than the old covenant and Moses had to put a veil over his face to hide the glory of the old covenant. How much more before Jesus returns will we reflect his glory to this lost and dying world? I'm getting so excited. I can hardly stand it. Okay, so the sun will be seven times brighter like the light of seven days in one. So it'll be when the Lord, so in other words he's going to save all of his glory for that day. So it'll be when the Lord begins to heal his people and cure the wounds he gave them. Look, the Lord is coming from far away burning with anger surrounded by thick rising smoke. He will sift out the proud nations for destruction. We are clearly talking about the second coming here. And he says, "In that day," he says, "I'll give you rain and the moon will be as bright as the sun and the sun will shine seven times brighter." I mean, when I saw this, Arden, I went, "Oh, wow, we are headed for such a great outpouring of God's Spirit." If you'll remember, Paul reminds us that the last harvest, the harvest of the Jewish people is going to be greater than any previous harvest. He said, "I want you to understand this mystery. This is a mystery. Dear brothers and sisters, this is Romans 11, 25, and 26 so that you will not feel proud of yourselves." He's talking to the Gentile believers.
Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of the Gentiles come to Christ. It's really important that we remember that. And so all of Israel will be saved. You know what Paul is saying? Then in the time of Jesus' second coming, all of Israel is going to recognize him as their Messiah. It will be the greatest harvest of Israel that Israel has ever seen. That is what is coming. And I'm looking for that. I remember God speaking that to my heart. And people have said, "Oh, Jesus is coming. He's coming at any moment. And I believe I live as if he's coming today. I live that way." But I know, I said to the Lord, Lord, you promised me. I'd see an outpouring of your spirit and awakening like I'd never seen before that would be even greater than the book of Acts. I'm looking for that. And I believe we're coming into it because we're in that final 50 years. We're in the year of Jubilee actually right now. We're in the final 50 years. I believe we're in the season of the time of the latter reign. Hey, listen everybody. If you've enjoyed this and you're saying, "John, how do you do all this study?" I have a Bible program that I've been using for years. It's called Logos. And I love it. I get the original words. I get a whole study of the root words. And I use it. I mean, it's literally on my other screen. I just flipped over and now I'm in Logos. Now I'm in my notes. I love this program. And you know what? They have made it affordable for everybody. And I'm hoping... It's actually free. 60 days for free. Thanks for interrupting that. They've made it available. It happens to be one of the high-up executives. He and I have been friends for years and years. We don't agree on the same football team. He likes the Patriots. I like the Lions. But we have been dear, dear friends. And I just said, "What can I do to help people get this Bible program?" And so they came back and said, "We're going to make it available to your listeners for free for 60 days." And then it's a monthly charge. I think for as low as $9.99 a month. Basically, your cost of a coffee, which used to be $5. Now it's $7. So anyway, I just wanted to tell you about that. The second thing I want to tell you is this. If you're enjoying what you're hearing, I'm really preaching because this is what's so necessary for the last days. And I'm reaching for it. I really hope that you'll understand that this is the book that really is the foundation of everything I'm sharing. This is the message that change my life forever. The awe of God is the holy, healthy fear of God. It's what Jesus delighted in. Amazon has it right now on a deep discount. So if you're a prime member, please make sure you get this book. I wrote it in very short chapters. There are only six pages long. There's 42 chapters,
six pages long each. Two chapters have eight pages. But I made it so that it would be an easy, easy digestible read that would be life transforming. And if you've already gotten the book, we have a brand new merch line for awe of God. That's so cool. It's a great conversational starter, which you can find the link below and actually support the podcast by getting some merch. Well, let's close in prayer. Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that every single person that's watching this podcast, I'm asking Lord that we would, our hearts would be stirred, to cry out to you, to pour out the rain in the time of the latter rain. I pray that if anyone doesn't know Jesus Christ as they cry out, they call upon the name of the Lord, as Joel prophesied, they will be saved. I wanna say this, if you just call out on the name of Jesus, and just say Jesus, I'm giving you my life, just like a bride gives her life to a groom. Does it make her perfect the first day, week, year, or 50 years? She just means I'm giving my whole heart to you. I'm gonna leave this world that I've been dating and flirting with, and I'm gonna give myself to you and live for you from this point forward. The Bible says you will be saved. Save from what? Save from the wrath to come. Save from a lake of fire. Our Creator loves us so much that He did this so that we could be a part of His family. I hope with all my heart that if you've not given Jesus Christ your full life, you'll do so today. I love you, Art and I. It's been a pleasure being with you today.
We'll see you next time on the John Bevere podcast, where we will go to the third thing to look for before the second coming of Jesus. [BLANK_AUDIO]
