Stop Arguing With God! | You Decide | Pastor Tim Payne

and I'm going to need a lot of help. And God said, I know, and I know, and I'm so thankful. I'm going to preach a message to you today entitled, "Stop, stop arguing with God. Stop. Just stop it." Sometimes things that make other people afraid don't make me afraid. What I've learned about myself is sometimes things that other people ain't nothing but a thing to them. That's the very thing that I struggle with. This week, I was very afraid. I just had a God moment in the drive-through of Chick-fil-A with a U.W.F. student. I was inviting her to church, and long story short, she took my order, and she said, you know, I'm going to come. I rounded the corner, and if you know anything about Chick-fil-A, there's lines and cars, and the Lord's chicken. I rounded the corner in Gulf Breeze where I wouldn't even sure someone had a lot of faith. It's like, how do you put a Chick-fil-A in a little piece of property, and they did it, been very successful? As I turned the corner to go collect my lunch, my car died, Steph's car died, died in the line that went from lines to one single line. Don't think Pensacola, Chick-fil-A, I was stuck. I did what anyone would do. I thought, oh no, it's going to be a lot of angry people, angry people, and hey, there's no tow truck getting in here. We in trouble. And when I say it died, there was nothing like I couldn't get it out of park. Nothing locked up and died like that. The same thing I knew is I better call on the name of the Lord, for whoever would call

on the name of the Lord would be safe. So I was like, Jesus, the car started, it started. But I was a little nervous because if you did it to me once, you might do it to me again. And so now the car in front of me couldn't move quick enough. And they had the full family, getting the full, all the mills, and I was like, don't let it die, Jesus, please. Just like, Lord, I'll push it in the parking lot, God, just please, get me out of the gauntlet. The single line, the single gauntlet, I got out, always well. Till this morning, when I walked out of the car and dead, some of you guys, or gals, could be gals too. All my cannons are like, it's the alternator, 99% sure, it's alternator. And I'm like, it better not be the battery because that battery is like two months old. I took my car in to get an oil change and then came out with a new battery. I was like, let me explain something to you all, my battery is fine before you change my oil. I'm like, so I got a new battery. And at the end of the day, I think the enemy is trying to stop me from coming. I bet he's trying to stop you from coming today, but you made it. Turn to the person besides you and say, give him a high five, say we made it. The reason why that story means something to me is because as a pastor, when I look at Christians, kind of like a shepherd looking at his flock, you know the sheep. You know him by name. Jesus said, the one so important, that's how I got to 99, was one at a time. But that's also the reason why I leave the 99 for the one, because the one so important. And so as a pastor in 15 years, as a senior pastor, what I've learned is that most Christians are stuck in this one area. And God doesn't want you stuck. Here's the message in less than a minute. Here's the message in under 10 seconds. God really wants to bless you.

I hope you walk out of here. I don't know how you couldn't, you know, let me say this way. I don't know how you could walk out of here and not sense Jesus in this place. But what God wants you to know is he really wants to bless you. He is for you. He's not against you. Most of us have taken the valves, like if you have a pool, and we've turned the valves to where it stops the flow. And we wonder why the flow doesn't flow when it comes to the blessings of God. And it's because... And I wanna talk about this one area. Next week, Pastor Jimmy's gonna come speak about multiplication. (audience applauding) God is the God of multiplication. In Genesis to Adam and Eve, he said, "Now go be fruitful." And Noah and the flood, the boat, the ark, he said, "Now go be fruitful and multiply. Subdue it." That means own it. He said, "Adam, I give you dominion. You in charge. All the beasts, they fear you. Multiply." He's a God of multiplication. You see it in the New Testament at Pentecost, multiplication in one day. You see it in the Old Testament, he's a God of multiplication.

God wants to multiply you and your life and your days. And he even wants to multiply your finances. Now there's been no teaching and then sometimes there've been wrong teaching. And so people get confused when it comes to money. And I wanna speak to you today. And I wanna help you today as your friend. Picture us at Starbucks and we're just having a conversation. And this conversation is gonna change your future. So you're excited about it. You ready to take notes? You're ready to do it, you know? It's like going to the gym and saying, "I wanna look like that. I wanna change the look like this to that." But then you actually commit. And when you commit and you're not drinking the soda or the sweet tea or eating all the ice cream and you're eating broccoli and chicken again. And you're just doing it, right? Because you actually are not just wanting something. You're working for what you want. You're not wishing for what you're doing it. If you will do what I'm gonna tell you today, I promise you, you will come to me with big eyes and you'll be like, "Pastor Tim, you're never gonna believe this." And I'm gonna say, let me hear it. And I wish that for all of you. Because if you are a child of God, God wishes that for all of you.

The most miserable Christian is a Christian who is stuck in disobedience. - Yeah, that's good. Yeah, all right? - Yeah. - You're stuck. And God wants to restart your engine and get you moving so you can collect what is rightfully yours. 'Cause it's already been paid for. He wants you to move forward. The devil wants to stop you. The devil wants you stuck. The devil wants you broke so you'll never trust God with the tithe. And if you don't trust God with the tithe, you gonna be stuck and broke. You say, "No, I'm not, I got money in the bank." Well, let me tell you something. You don't have all the blessings that are in heaven because you turn the valve off. Are you with me? Jesus, Jesus spoke about money. So don't go funny, don't get funny. Don't let the devil have your tongue. If you need to, come lay it. There's an altar right here. And it's very big. You can just put the tongue right here. You can submit your tongue to Jesus and then say, "I surrender all," even my tongue. You can surrender your attitude right here.

You can surrender your past rebellion right here at the altar. You can give it to Jesus today and you can walk out free today, not a Christian who's stuck in miserable. Jesus said, "Show me your treasure." And I'll tell you where your heart is. Your heart and my heart is connected to treasure. And God knows that. If you study the Bible, there were men and women that were so crazy blessed. And here's the principle. If God can get it through you, God will get it to you. God is looking for channels. God is looking for the flow of the Holy Spirit. God is wanting to use you for his kingdom purpose. How many want that assignment? This is not a dream question. If you're a Christian, you should raise your hand, right? How many want that assignment? But watch this. It doesn't matter if you got the assignment if you're off on your alignment. You can mess up the whole play. You can cost the whole team. You can pause the whole play if you do it my way. And God don't play. You can take God at his word. Today, I'm not gonna give you denomination word.

We're non-denum. Today, I'm not gonna give you a 10-ism, all right? And some of y'all watch, what is it, big brother, right? There's a guy that just on there, and he say all these things, you know? And there's like, this is funny, listening to this guy and the things that he, I'm not making stuff up. I'm gonna give you God's word today. And it's not old, it's not oldy and it's not moldy. It's goldy, baby. You can bank on it. (audience applauding) What you do with the bread from heaven will either feed you or frustrate you. But it's up to your heart and where your heart is. And it's really up to your hunger. 'Cause when we full of junk food, we're not hungry for real food. And so, but if you hunger, blessed are you that hunger and thirst. After his righteousness, the kingdom of heaven, for you will be filled. And today, I believe you're gonna walk out of here filled with the word and you know what? It's gonna fill your life. And he who spared not his own son, how will he not also freely give us all things? God really wants to bless you. Tell your neighbor, would you?

Turn to him and say, God really wants to bless you. (audience laughing) God wants to bless you. Now look here, we're gonna move. I wanna illustrate this. You missed last week, you need to go back and watch it. I'd encourage you not to miss church. I'd encourage you don't let it be one of the things. Let it be the thing that you honor God with on the first day of the week. 'Cause the first belongs to the Lord. So we have church on Sunday. (audience applauding) I'm looking for Pastor Michael. Pastor Michael's hat says Sunday Funday. I got a coffee mug that says that Sunday Funday. This is the day that the Lord has made. So go on vacation, have a good time. You're six, stay home for the love of Jesus. Watch this online, right? You got business, go kick it for Jesus. You know what I'm saying? But you know what, when you're here, make this a priority, right? The first, the first belongs to the Lord. Jericho was the first city that God's people came to. And God said, you're gonna collect a lot of stuff. You ain't keeping the stuff. This city belongs to me. Why? 'Cause it was the first.

God said, don't touch the tree in the garden of Eden. The tree of knowledge and good of good and evil. Why? 'Cause that was the first it belonged to God. God said, you're not gonna touch my tree. Don't taste my tree. Don't eat touch. And if you don't touch it, you won't taste it. I got something better for you called life. Don't mess with my tree. It's the first. Jesus was God's tithe. He's God's only begotten son, but he's the first born. God said, I'm gonna give you the first and the best. In the first family with Adam and Eve, God taught them the principle of the first. He taught Cain and Abel was taught that. And Abel brought the first of the flock to God. And Cain bought the crap that he got at Walmart that led us that was slimy. But still had two weeks for it was to go bad. Y'all with me? And he said, here Lord, here have the slimy lettuce. I'm gonna keep the good stuff. We return to God what is his, which is the first. The Bible tells us that if you are generous, Proverbs chapter 11, God says the Hebrew word, says literally translated, the generous will be made rich. Do you know how many generous people there are? There's some, there's not enough. God's looking for people who are like this.

And if he can get it through you, he'll get it to you. And the more you give away, the more he'll bless you with. There's a pastor named Rick Warren. He's tithe in 10%, 20%, 30%. He's like, God, if you would do something so big, here's what my heart would love to do. I love to tithe 90%. I would love to tithe 90 and live on the 10. So God gave him an idea, God gave him a book. He gave him many books, but he gave him this one book, became a worldwide bestseller. He made a whole lot of money and he lived on 10% and still does. And 90% goes back into the kingdom. So when we pray the Lord's prayer, it can actually happen. Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in. And so God's will, he made known when it comes to our finances as believers, there's a family talk. If you're not a Christian, man, feel free, pull your phone out. But I will tell you this, it will work for you if you work it. Even if you're not a Christian, you'll be blessed. Pharaoh was blessed because there was a man of God Joseph walked with God, and the Bible said, "God bless Pharaoh, a godless, "most powerful man in the world. "God blessed him 'cause there was someone "connected to Jesus who was in proximity with him." Are you with me? So if you are a Christian, both ears totally open. I wanna demonstrate something to you today.

I wanna teach you something. I wanna challenge you with something and we're done. I need 10 people. I don't need you to talk. I won't embarrass you. I just need 10 people to stand down. In fact, it's best if you don't talk. I appreciate that. Just 10 people. Would you come help me? 10 people. First 10 down front, we're gonna illustrate something. This money, this cash came from Gavin's stash. I say, "Gavin, you got any cash?" He pulled a thing out of that hole, but it's like Gavin's rich. I'm gonna illustrate the tithe. In the Bible, the tithe is God's business plan for his kingdom. It was written hundreds of years before the law was given. So if you say something, not being rude or crude, I love you. I'm your friend. My name's Tim. But if you ever say, well, that was under the law, you're showing your ignorance and your lack of study. The Bible says, study the word. So like, I'm learning the more I keep my mouth shut. The smarter people think I am, you know what I'm saying? So like, just don't give it all away, you know?

And so God says this, man, it was in the Old Testament. It was given way before the law. Jesus in Luke chapter 11 said, you should tithe. Now listen, church, if Jesus said you should do it, do we need to vote on it? No, we shouldn't vote on it. We should just do it. Your tithe is all about your trust. It's not about your money, it's actually about your trust. And God wants your heart above all. God gave his all, God wants your heart. Remember when Jesus took the Ten Commandments and he squeezed them into two, right? And he said, they were trying to trip them and trap them and they said, hey, what are all the commandments? Which was most important? And he said, love the Lord your God with all your mind, heart, soul, love your neighbor as yourself. We are to love God and love people. We're to do right to God, we're to do right to people. So this represents pay. Tim, I'm gonna give you one. Tim starts us off one all the way down here to number 10. So look at this first, throw this first up on the screen, please. There you go, Ryan. Here we go. Look at this first. This is a recap from last week. As you harvest your crops,

that means as you're cleaning people's teeth. That means as you're being the principal and you got another meeting. That means as you are a police officer in your car, that means as you're a teacher teaching your class or a coach on the field coaching, as you are working, the Bible says if a man doesn't work, he shouldn't eat. In other words, don't be lazy. Do not be lazy and wonder why God's not blessing you. You turn the flow off. You gotta let it flow, baby. So as you harvest your crops, bring the very what? The best. King, he was rejected from God because he did not bring the best. He gave the slimy lettuce. And he kept the good stuff over here. It's like the story I told a couple of weeks ago with the pizza. I kept the pizza, it wasn't burned. The two young elementary boys, I was, I'm sorry, so sorry, it's burned. I'm hiding over here. I kept the best for myself. That's what Aiken did. And it cost his whole family. And it cost the whole every tribe of Israel. When he went in to Jericho and he took what he wanted and he hid it, he took it, he stole it,

it belonged to the Lord, he hid it, he lied about it, and then he died about it. Because greed got the best of them. As you harvest your crops, bring the very best of the what? Of the first. So out of these dollars, which one is the first? Tim's right here, this is the first. God wants you to return as a Christian. When you get paid, God wants you to return the first. And the first, does it go to, well, we're gonna give it to man of food bank, praise God for man of food bank, but you, that's generosity. We're talking obedience. The tithe is about obedience. And then we see a commercial and there are dogs on there and their bellies are swollen and I'm crying. And so now here it is and I'm giving the first, no, no, no, and the first doesn't go to T-Mobile. Because T-Mobile doesn't have the power to bless the rest of your finances. It don't go to AT&T, don't take it to publics. It doesn't have the power. bless the rest. But most Christians won't let go of the first. And why is 10% so hard? Because it's so much. When we're talking about returning to God, what actually belongs to God. But why is it so little when we're shopping and wanting a sale? I'm preaching. I'm getting ready. Boy, I'm warming up. You know, we waiting for dealers to go January baby. 50% off. We're going to get them shoes, right? 10% of sale. That ain't nothing. God wants 10%. God wants the first. Because God wants you to trust them. Because God says, the just shall live by faith. And as a Christian, we walk by faith.

We got a lot of people moving. I don't want to embarrass anyone. But I'm going to just ask for people to stay still if you can. It's the word of God. Let's just stay still in this place. The first belongs to the Lord. Devil wants to distract you from your blessing. So you ought to pay double attention today. Don't get in double trouble. Get out of trouble. Get out of the rubble. Get out of being stuck because you're getting what the Lord is teaching today. That first, when I get paid, the first thing I do, I don't buy a stick a gum. I don't. I don't buy a gallon of gas. The first thing I do is I go online and I tithe. I will return to the Lord. What's his? Because I trust the Lord. Because I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. We sing it early. He never abandoned us. Does he care about everything except for your finances? No. So the first, but most Christians hold on to the first, and then they wonder why they're cursed. They wonder why they can't get out up underneath it. And it's because you're clinging to it. You cling into it. God says, return the first. Where do we return it? To the house. In the Old Testament, you brought it to the Levites. They would give it to the priest. And then they had a storehouse where they had more than enough. In fact, in the Old Testament, they're taking an offering. And Moses has to say, no more. No more money. No more money. Everyone's been so obedient and generous. Like, we got more than enough to do what God's calling us to do. I wish every church in America had more than enough. Because you didn't get the call two weeks ago when a family in our church had nothing, and they have children. And they have Dr. Bill's piling. And if the church isn't there, see, the church was called to do what a lot of people depend the government to do, but the government wouldn't be doing what the government's doing, right? If the church was doing what the church was called to do. But it's hard to do what the church is called to do when 85% nationally of Christians, let me see a dollar, say, here I am to worship. Here I am to bow down. And I know my money says, in God I trust, in God we trust. But here I am to say that, Jared, ooh, you my God. Ooh, you all together, lovely baby. Oh, man. And the church worships trinket gods that have wings and can fly away. And God don't need your money. God wants your heart. And what your treasure is your heart is, that's why most Christians will trust in free eternity. You know all your sins, not all of them, maybe. You know a lot of your sins, and you trust the blood of Jesus to forgive them all.

But you will not trust God with 10%. What's wrong with the picture? What's wrong with that picture? And God is calling a church. God is calling a nation to repentance. And Jesus said, repent for the kingdom of heaven. Is that hand? I want to tell you something to be true. Wake up, read your Bibles and look what's happening. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. I don't want to be in the 85% line when I get to heaven, get to meet Jesus. And this with the non-tivers, AKA the thieves. Can you imagine figuring out what that line is for? Narrow is the road that leads to the blessed life. You with me? You don't want your finances cursed. God doesn't change. Now watch this. Where do we return it? To the house. We bring it to the house. And then you know what happens? Jimmy, step up here and help me illustrate this real quick. You know what happens? Here's what Christians do. They don't want to let go of it. They have a hard time releasing it. And then when they finally do let go of it, they want to control it. Because you're God. So imagine Jimmy is like Pastor Tim, do you have a hundred dollars? I really need a hundred dollars. And I say, yeah, man, of course. Here it is, man. Here's a hundred dollars. And then I'm like, what are you going to do with that? Hang on. I'm going to put a breath in.

We fixing to get too close for comfort, baby. Don't be nervous. Just trust me. What are you going to do with it? What are you going to do with it? What are you going to do with it? I'm uncomfortable. I don't know about you. But my breast smells good only. It's cinnamon, baby. What you going to do with it? What you going to do with it? What you going to do with it? What you going to do with it? And what we do, nowhere in the Bible does this say that I shall trust the church. Right? It says trust the Lord thy God. That's right. That's right. So a lot of podcasts came out around 2020 and Satan did a lot of damage. But that was true. Some of it was lies in Christians unsubscribed. That's exactly why. And they deconstructed their faith. Because rebellions as a center witchcraft. And the church, when the church refuses to return, the church is in full blown rebellion. That's the truth. And so when you let it go, you're not given to the church. You're returning to God. As the pastor and our staff, we will give an account what we do with it.

And that's a fearful thing. That is to think I'm going to give an account to God. That's a humbling thing. That's a real thing. But God didn't call you to what you can do with it. What you can do with it. And imagine, I say, well, Jimmy, what you do with it. I heard someone saw you a sky pizza. And you said you needed money. And they saw your bill. There's that tongue need to be on the altar. They said it was 1796, a sky pizza. But you said you really needed it. And then he's like, yeah, there's a homeless person. I hadn't eaten in a week. And I got him an extra large pizza, double pepperoni. And I gave it to him. Oh, don't I feel stupid. See, you're not the judge. Where's children? And so when you let it go, and you're returning it to God, the flow begins to flow. The blessings begin to flow. But when you won't let it go, I'm not going to let it go. I don't need you anymore. I'm not going to let it go. But what happened to the flow? Where are God's blessings? They're not here anymore. And then we want to get confused, and God says it's simple.

Thank you all. Will you collect that? You guys can have a seat. Thank you. He'll collect it. Look at our text real quick. Let's go through our text here. I want you to take your phones out, write some things down real fast. In the Old Testament, God said, give me 10% of your livestock, 10% of your crops, 10% of your finances. And you're very best, because tithing is trusting, and trusting is actually tithing. If you're here and things are tight, what you need is a shift in your blessings. You need it to flow again. And if you will humble yourself and repent, God will do that. Tithing is not only about obedience, tithing is about honor. And I don't give to get. I give, actually, return is the tithe. I do that to be obedient and to honor the Lord, to worship Him, it's an act of worship. But the result is God blesses me. And I can't deny that because He promises that. So when I return it to the local church, God's, the Lord's prayer happens. His kingdom comes, His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. I gave that girl an invite card. Last week, I was at the dry cleaners. I gave her an invite card. She came and brought her husband today. They don't give us free invite cards.

But we know when we buy those invite cards, it has the power to change an entire family, entire generation. When we say you're hungry and we feed you, whatever we're doing to the least of these, we're doing to Jesus. When someone's like, man, and we show up, that's the body of Christ doing the work of Christ. Are you with me? And it's an all skate. Well, I'm only a college student. If you can't trust God with your finances as a college student, you'll never trust them in your 40s. You with me? Well, when I make more, no, no, no, no. You've got it backwards. You've got it all backwards. So scripture says this, put the verses up, please, on the screen. Let's go through this. So call to repentance. Malachi, three, six through 12. I am the Lord and I do not change. Who's speaking here? The Lord. Does he change? No. And he says, contextually, that's why you descendants of Jacob, you're not already destroyed because I'm the Lord and I don't change. And I promise mercy to a thousand generations.

By the way, when you're obedient to God, you are laying up stored up mercy for your family. I'm telling you, I'm standing here today because of my parents and my grandparents and my great-great-grandparents and my great-great-great-grandparents who love God and fear God. I got great-great-granddaddies Bible on my desk. They love God and there's been stored up mercy for me. And there's stored up mercy for you. And God says, I don't change. And he says, why you're not destroyed? And he said, by the way, all your ancestors, you've scorned my decree. And as a pastor, whenever I-- and I haven't preached on money, I'll sprinkle it over here and sprinkle it over there. I haven't done a series. This is a three-week series. Next week, going to be the best. Jimmy's going to bring the best next week. He's going to be amazing. But whenever I do it, I've always felt pushed back from Christians. Why? Because the devil's a liar. But I want to tell you, it's actually not pushed back. It's actually a prison break. When the man gets broken, when the love of money gets broken, and God is back on the throne in your life, you will say, oh, my goodness, oh, my God. Why did I do this earlier? God says, hey, you, all your family, it's not been good.

You've scorned my decrees. You failed to obey them. And then he says, now return to me. Now return to me. I will be returning, Lord willing, from Israel, back to America. And I will be returning because I left. And many of us have left our first love. And God is saying, I'm calling you back to returning. Not that you lost it, you just left it. But it's still where you left it. It's right there. The last time God moved, it went away from you. It was towards you. God doesn't play here. By the way, these are God's words. God doesn't play. Look what he says. He says this, now return to me. And I'll return to you. He says, the Lord of Heaven's army. But you ask, how can we return? We've never gone away. That's what the people said. God said, should people cheat God? Yet you've cheated me. And then the people said, what do you mean? What do we ever cheat you? And you know what? As I was studying this, I never saw this before.

God was like they were arguing with me. Stop arguing with God. I don't know if you have teenagers. If you're blessed to have teenagers or not, I love teenagers. I love our young people. But as a parent, if not the most frustrating thing, you give me just a minute here. It's not the most frustrating thing. It's one of them. Top three is when you're arguing with a teenager and they're wrong, and they think they're right, and they haven't lived long enough. To get the experience, mama said, "I brought you in this world, I'll take you out right now in Jesus' name." Have you ever argued with a teenager and thought, "I'm going crazy, I'm going crazy, I'm just going crazy, my God, I'm exhausted, I'm going crazy, I'm going to stop at temp, you're arguing with a teenager?" God says, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not arguing with you all, I'm God." You said that you haven't and then a good parent does what brings the young person back to the truth. The Bible says foolishness is bound in the heart of a child and God says, "I got something for you." You said, "What do you mean when we ever cheat you? You're saying that to me when I just told you you'd cheat me?" Have you ever said to a young person, "Don't disrespect me, I'm not disrespecting you." You're just, "Take my hand, Jesus, take the will." If you've never been there or if you're a teenager just wait till you have children and you've got to say, "Mom, Dad, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, oh, you apology." And mom and dad help me, I'm drowning.

God says, "You have cheated, God just direct, God don't play." God says, "You have cheated me of ties and offerings due to me. You are under a curse for your whole nation has been cheating me." It could be said today, contextually in most churches, the whole church almost has been cheating me. And you're under a curse because of it, so change it, repeat, bring all the ties into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my temple. How many thankful we have like a kid's ministry here? How many get to drop your kids off and we're not babysitting, we're discipling, right? How many thankful you have teenagers, you love them, I love them, I love our teenagers, they're the best of the best. But the truth is, how many thankful we have a student pastor, right? How many college students here are thankful for Pastor Adam? Are you with me? Like, come on. Well, when they said, "This is what we're going to do," they got bills like you do. And so none of them are paid half of what they deserve. But it's not just about the people in ministry, it's about ministering the people. And it takes money and God said, "I got a plan." If my people just return 10%, it's not rocking science, right? If we all pay like the little bit, you know what, the potholes will be fixed and we have police and we have this and we have that, like I'm thankful. And God says, "Hey, listen to me. This is what you've been doing. I'm almost done. Hang with me." But He said, "You're under a curse. You've been cheating me. So bring it all to the storehouse so there will be enough food in my temple." If you do, says the Lord of Heaven's armies, if you do, if it's conditional, I will open

the windows of heaven for you. God says, "I have more in store for you." God says, "I really want to bless you. I want to open the windows of heaven." Some of you, the RBO, some of you have been over here and you've been in there on vacation and it had glass and you're overlooking water and you're like, "Look, I'll be here." Can you imagine vision from looking out heaven's windows? Can you imagine how amazing? And God says, "I'm going to open every window in heaven. The streets are gold here, pure gold. You see through it. There's no draws." Like this is my, this is my property. This is heaven. And God says, "I want heaven. I want as it is in heaven to be on earth. As it is in my world, I want it to be in your world. But God will not give it to you if God can't get it through you. But if God can get it through you, God's got no problem. In fact, He's looking for people. He can get it through. He can get it through. I don't know if you watched this one guy, but he walks up to millionaires and he walks up and he's like, "Hey, my name's so-and-so and I interview millionaires. How'd you make your first million?" I don't know if you follow him. You see it on Instagram. But the guy's a Christian and he did this one and he's talked to a lady and she's like, "Yeah, I'm a millionaire. But why aren't you talking to him?

He's a billionaire." It was a founder Hobby Lobby. And the founder Hobby Lobby talked about how they closed on Sunday, Chick-fil-A kind of sounds familiar. 100% turnover in fast food, across the board, 100% turnover, except Chick-fil-A, only 60%. We won't even go into all the like how they outrun, out circle everyone else, even though they have this many stores compared to McDonald's who has, it's the principal. And then he starts interviewing this gentleman, which I got to shake his hand and it was Palm, and he got to meet him, and he's interviewing him, and he's like, man, it belongs to the Lord, man. And we just dedicated our business to God. That's what the Lord's looking for. And you know what he said? He said, we want to put money back in ministry, 'cause we want to be about our father's business. So if you're a business person, build a multi-million dollar company, do it for the glory of God, and do it to fund. So what is up there can be down here. Are you with me? This isn't a shame on anyone, but this is a fun fact. If Momentum Church just got under what the Lord has put over us, his word, if we just submitted and got under his authority, you know what would happen? That 20 acres that we have in Gulf Breeze, we would be able to build what we need to build in a year and be death free. And Gulf Breeze would be like, oh my goodness,

'cause they would drive and buy it every day. Every day. So God placed us, he called us to Gulf Breeze, put us in Tiger Point, goes back 15 years, put us right near a public, you got a seven brew, a Panda Express, you got Lowe's over here and Walmart over here, right? And then you got, let's go Home Depot, looking at the property, and then you got, well God blessed us with what we bought, what we paid for, but it's just woods. And every day, cars, which means souls. Souls, and we're trying to get the next coolest trinket. And souls are passing by. They're lost, just had a high schooler take his life. They need to hear. Now you with me, there's more ministry in us. God's calling us to do more. I've been praying since 2017 for the place after this place. And in the moment of church, if we just said, okay God, we're gonna do what you say, we're gonna return, here's the first, you know what happened? That's not even for sale yet, but when it comes for sale, we'll be able to pay for it. We'll be able to say, let's go, God is building a church. Let's be the church and see people and people. And your ROI is important. I'm not saying your ROI is not important, but there's something called E-R-O-I eternal reward

on investment that is gonna long live past the things in this world. That new car smell fades away. You with me? And God is saying, listen, if you would just do this, I'd finish with the blessing. Look how much God says he wants to bless. Look at this. If you do this, I'll open the windows, I'll pour out a blessing, and it'll be so great, you won't have enough room to take it in. Try it, put me to the test. Would I'm gonna bless you with? You won't even have room enough. Why? Because it will be abundant. And then he says, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Another word for that disease is he will rebuke the devourer. The devil, Satan, is the devourer. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And he wants to devour your money. He wants to devour your finances, and your faith, and your family, and your friends, and on, and on, and on. He wants to devour it. And God says, if you honor me with the first, elementary math, not calculus, just 10%, just 10%. If you honor me with the first, I will get between you and the devourer,

and I will rebuke the devil on your behalf. (audience applauding) How many want the good Lord to rebuke the devourer on your behalf? I do. 100%. You a trust fund baby. You trust fund baby. Your father owns it all. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. And he made the hills. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. It is all God's. He is the owner. He is the author. He is Alpha. He is Omega. He's everything in between. He who started a good work in you will perform it all the days of your life, yes and amen. That's who he is. And he says, I have more in store for you. I want to bless you. I want to bless you. I want to bless you. But we bow down to money and we worship money. And God is not against money. God wants to bless you. That's his word. He will rebuke the devour on your behalf.

That's his word. It's more blessed to give than to receive. God will bless you. And it's not just that money, it may be in your health. First gathering, I'm looking out, Kim Spring right there. She got COVID, was on the vent. They were telling us it's over. And there was about 15 of us that went to Gulf Breeze, Baptist Hospital, got in that parking lot. And we said, we're gonna bring your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. We're not taking no for an answer. And we prayed and we prayed. And God decided to answer it that way. Sometimes God says, no, I'm gonna answer it this way. You've had them long enough. They're too good for the earth. I'm gonna put them on display for my glory. At the end of the day, we are not owners. At the end of the day, we are stewards of everything. God says, I wanna bless you. God trust me. If you get this one area right in your life, the flow will begin to happen. And you will find favor on your life that will elevate you. Your boss, listen, promotion doesn't come from the east nor from the west, but from above. God is the judge. God raises up one and God puts down another.

Listen, he is your provider. He is your promoter. You just live for Jesus. Get right here and be astounded at all that God does right here. Just be astounded. And then you know what happened? When you care about what God cares about, which is people, it's the only thing he died for. Only thing we bring to heaven is people. Don't bring nothing else. People. Then all of a sudden, you think your worship was fire today and it was. You watch someone come to Christ. That's E-R-O-I, baby. You see a prodigal returning home. That's E-R-O-I. You see a full parking lot. You see a building come up. You see more gatherings launch. That's E-R-O-I, baby. Let your kingdom come. Let your will be done right here in momentum as it is in heaven. Let it be here. Let it be now. Let it come here from there to here. Let it come. Don't stay stuck.

Life is too short. What you do now matters for eternity. What you do here echoes for eternity. Michelle, I'm thinking about Matt, who served on the parking team. They could Brian Purcell, who served in the youth. They didn't just serve with their tie. They served with their time because they understood E-R-O-I. And you know what, in both of those, you know how many people came to Christ? Only heaven knows. Because they got it. Don't waste your life on trinket gods. Only when life, it'll soon be passed. And only what's done for Christ will last. Do not harden your hearts. Do not harden your neck. Do not be alike. No, no, no. Don't do it. This is what I close with this. Some Christians say, well, Tithing's Old Testament. Jesus said, do it. Some Christians say, I can't afford to. God says, I can't afford not to. Some Christians say, I'm close to God, but they actually rob God week after week. And God says, you continue to obey me. You're living in rebellion. You need to repent.

You need to return to me. You have robbed me. Yup, let me be clear. You've cheated me. You've cheated me in two different areas. Tives and offerings. And you're under a curse. You want to change? You want to do better? Bring all the tithes to the local church so that ministry can happen. Some Christians say, I'll bring some. I'll give 3%. Are you a Tither? You return the full 10%. Well, I do for me, but not for my wife. Listen, if you're a Christian household, I want all God's blessings. If you make 100,000 a year when you get the church statement at the end, right? Use that, right? if you make 100, it ought to say at least 10,000. That's what God says. That's what God says. That's how God funds his work. That's God's business plan. So, Christians, I'm just going to do this. If it's not instant obedience, it's not obedience at all. If it's not full obedience, God never called us to work up till we felt like 100% obedience. Let me just be very clear. And I love you, but I'm going to tell you the word of God because I'm going to give an account to God. And if you don't like this, don't send me an email. Send it to Tyler. I'm pretty sure he knows how. And I'm trusting someone I never met to get me to a place where I'm called to be. God called me 15 years ago. God is calling us to do for him what he's called us to do. And that will affect us in more than us 15 years from now. That's what hangs in the balance. That's what hangs in the balance is our obedience and rewards because blessings bring obedience brings blessings and blessings bring attention. Not everyone will celebrate you, but if God's for you who can be against you. Let me tell you something, man. Don't apologize for the favor God on your life. Don't ever apologize for the favor God.
