I have tried to condense it quite a bit for you But there is so much word how many know we cannot get enough word how many love god's word? So if you have your bibles you can turn with me to matthew chapter 27 matthew chapter 27 beginning in verse 27 And here's what it says. It says then the soldiers of the governor took jesus into the governor's headquarters And there they gathered the whole battalion before him and they stripped him jesus and put a scarlet robe on him And they twisted together a crown of thorns They put it on his head and they put a reed in his hand and kneeling before him They mocked him saying hail king of the jews And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head And they made they had mocked him after they mocked him. They stripped him of the robe They put him back in his own clothes and then led him away to be crucified. Look at verse 35 And when they had crucified him they divided up his garments among them by casting lots verse 36 they sat down and kept watch over him verse 37 and saying They put a charge against him which read this is jesus the king of the jews I came here to tell you today that jesus wants to exchange your shame for his glory The title of this message today is shame go Let's pray So father, we love you and we thank you for your word. I declare that your word is true Let every man be a liar I declare right now your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light into our path lord We hide your word in our hearts so we won't sin against you. I pray right now. Holy spirit Would you breathe upon your word? I pray your logos becomes rhema. Let it become personal revelation to us today I pray that you would give us ears to hear hearts to receive minds to understand what your spirit is saying today father

I declare right now no spirit, but the holy spirit is welcome in this place So I declare spirit of fear. You must go you foul spirit of shame. You must go I pray Holy spirit come rule and reign father. I thank you. Nobody came to hear me We all came to hear you. So together we pray speak lord Your servants are listening and all god's people said amen And amen. Well, we are stewarding a prophetic word this year on radical love. This is a matthew 22 year This is a year where we will love god with all of our heart with all of our mind with all of our soul with all of our strength This is a year that we're loving god for no reason because when you love god for no reason No reason can take your love for him We've been in a series on the fruit of the spirit How many been enjoying that that series on the fruit of the spirit how many have been challenged by that How many need the fruit of the spirit when you're driving and playing golf and doing and parenting? Okay, this is something that affects all of us and is challenging all of us Well, we're going to continue this series next week But I wanted to stop and pause for easter and I wanted to preach a message that is stewarding a prophetic word That god released at the beginning of the year And there was a year that this there's a word that this year you would be delivered from shame someone say shame go It was a year of deliverance deliverance of shame. I saw the lord personally breaking off hardened pieces of shame Off of your life your family and your legacy. I saw the lord trading shame for glory someone say shame go Shame go now shame is an interesting thing because it affects everyone elbow your neighbor and say everyone And it doesn't matter if you are struggling with some deep perverted sin If you committed some sexual act if you committed some grievance betrayal Or if you just were dishonest and you you didn't tell the truth every single one of us in some part of our lives Have dealt with shame because all of us have participated In sin elbow the person the elbow do a little harder back to them and say that's you The bible says this for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god What that means is there's not one person who walks the face of the earth who has not participated

in sin or experienced some degree of shame Now today I want you to be equipped to understand To respond to a foul demonic spirit of shame. Are you with me? So i'm going to take a lot of bible There's over 300 scriptures almost 300 scriptures that speak to the topic of shame or being ashamed And I want to summarize it and help you understand what is spiritually going on when you feel experience or participate In shame, are you with me today? So let's begin to define shame. What is shame from a theological perspective? It is spiritual in a psychological condition It is a deep internal awareness of dishonor that attacks the identity And the worth of a person it manifests as guilt or humiliation Or a even rejection it is primarily caused by sin But other times by failure or wounds inflicted by other people And ultimately it flows from a separation from our relationship with god Let's begin to impact this today shame in a biblical sense Is a deep sense of disgrace or relationship broke relational brokenness brought by sin When we begin to look at this in the hebrew and greek because the bible was written in hebrew and greek Primarily and what it means is this is that when we read the bible in english we're missing so much depth to the original language So in original hebrew, there was many root words for for different words What that meant was is all sorts of different root words would build up an awareness to what a word means So sometimes when we read the bible in english, we're missing so much of the depth of what god's words saying And so if we look at the original etymology or the original meaning of the language we can get a better picture of what god's saying So in the in the original hebrew some of the root words for shame is the word bosh

Or bosh, and it means this to be ashamed to be disgraced or humiliated Then we have the word boshet, which means shame or a shameful thing Then we have the word herpa, which means to reproach or build public scorn or ridicule In the greek, which is the septuagint or the greek translation of hebrew We get the word isunay which means disgrace or humiliation Karaskeno or kateskano Which means utter disgrace or dishonor. There's a word atamea which means dishonor or the loss of status or Unideos, which means the reproach or insult So we can take the hebrew in the greek and here's what we can learn from it in the hebrew To be it means to be disgraced or humiliated And in the greek it means to lose dishonor or a loss of status or Identity Let's begin to summarize this a little bit So it's not just saying I did something wrong Shame says I am something wrong Shame begins to lie to you about your identity And it begins you begin to view yourself through the lens of a demonic Lens of shame instead of the eyes of the lord. Are you with me? So let me simplify this to the to the to the finest degree I can I would summarize shame or give a simple definition of shame to mean this shame is simply when you think god doesn't love you anymore The end result of shame Is you've been convinced by a demon that god doesn't love you Someone say shame go glory of god come Let me begin to teach you about shame today It's important that we understand the difference between what is guilt And what is shame so guilt means this guilt means I did something wrong Shame says I am wrong

Something's wrong with me. I am the identity of this guilt So guilt could be a good thing because guilt creates an awareness That that my actions or behavior might be sinful there's something in my life that is not glorifying god but shame is when you begin to have the Identity of what that thing is that created the guilt or that sin Then we need to understand the difference between conviction and condemnation See conviction is a good thing Conviction means your heart is soft towards god And when your heart is soft towards god It means that you can feel convicted or you could feel a wrongness about some of your actions so the purpose of conviction is to keep you in right standing with God it's to keep your relationship with God intact it's when you're out with your friends and you start saying something and you realize you shouldn't be saying it because it's gossip and all of a sudden you have that check in your heart I don't think I should be saying this that is a conviction that you shouldn't be doing it it's when you go in a business deal and you make some jokes and some laugh at some things that you shouldn't be doing and you feel all of a sudden a grievance in your heart you shouldn't be doing that it's when you know that your behavior is in conflict with what the righteousness of God is so conviction is a good thing see conviction is warning you your current behavior does not glorify God but what condemnation does is it tells you your past behavior doesn't glorify God and you are your past behavior so what conviction does is conviction makes you aware hey my behavior right now isn't good but condemnation causes you to think I am my past behavior are you following me so what shame does is it begins to mix in all of this stuff and so shame tells you that you are still guilty or you're still on trial for your past sins and you're in this constant state of feeling regret and outcast and dishonor and disgrace because of what you did and the reason why there's such

a heavy feeling about it is because it is spiritual turn your neighbor say it's spiritual there's an entire culture that is created around shame let me show you in the Old Testament you would see shame come into effect in the Hebrew culture through the word honor the word honor means a value so shame is a loss of honor or it's a loss of value so in any time someone experienced shame they would lose their value in the New Testament in the Greek and Roman culture it went from this loss of value that someone personally felt to public shame which was your social death so this refers to both internal shame as a feeling of humiliation and an external shame as public dishonor in the eyes of others so in the ancient world shames culture it what it would do it would cause you to be socially erased from society how many have seen those old fashioned shows of the historians or their early 1900s and they had the society people and they're invited to the parties and they're doing all this and and if you didn't have the right status in society you were less than okay magnify that times the devil and that's what shame does is it tries to completely erase your worth are you following me today so in the ancient world their shame was a shame culture in the modern-day world we don't call it shame culture we call it cancel culture but it's its purpose is to do the same thing to completely erase you from society to take your value and say you are worth absolutely nothing that is the culture of shame today I want to take these almost 300 scriptures and I want to begin to help you understand what this is I want you to be aware that you're not addressing a principle you're not dealing with with some sort of internal conflict you're actually facing a demon you are facing a spiritual principality that's been at work from the beginning of time and today together we're gonna expose it someone say shame go so I could summarize almost 300 scriptures into three points today all 300 scriptures could almost land in these three categories so here's what I want you to understand about shame today it's number one shame is personal turn your neighbor say it's personal shame doesn't just affect how you feel it tells you who you are it's not just something you carry it's something that

tries to become your identity it is very personal and Genesis 2 25 it says this it says in the beginning Adam and Eve were in the garden look at the Word of God here's what it says they were naked and they felt no shame this is really important for you to understand theologically originally God made you and designed you naked I'll be your wife said told you so Hold on. He created you naked, but with what? With no shame. In fact, put the picture up. If you see, like, early, early ancient writers and artists, they would have paintings of Adam and Eve with, like, halo-like ambiance around them. And the reason why they would paint that on them is because, originally, man was created naked, but we were clothed in the presence of God. So those halos were supposed to depict the glory of God, the presence of God that people were clothed with. So this was originally how we were created. So when you're created naked, there is this very personal thing to it. How many know when you're exposed, you don't have clothes on, that is a personal moment? In fact, in our house, we have three little kids, and, and we use the, the, the term all the time in our house, we need privacy. And when we say we need privacy, it means, hey, children, go away. In fact, my wife's obsessed with antique doors, and so we have these antique doors in our house, in a newer house, but we have antique doors, and she thinks they're awesome and whatever. And, and, and the problem with antique doors is the locks don't work very well, because they're a hundred years old. And so I will lock a door, and then it takes like three rattles of a child, and all of a sudden, the lock's not working anymore. And we'll start here, that lock rattling, it's a demonic sound, that door rattling. Some little child let me in, and we'll say stuff like, we need privacy.

And the reason why we need privacy so much is because honestly, Heather can't keep her hands off me. I'm telling you the truth, I'm telling you the truth. I'll be 42 next month, and I am aging as fine as wine. Can you blame her? She cannot help herself. But watch, there's a degree of privacy that you need when you are unclothed. See, Adam and Eve sinned, and they realized they were naked, and then they needed privacy, or a different word, they needed to hide themselves. So as soon as Adam and Eve sinned, they went and hid themselves from the presence of God. Come on, I don't want you to read the Bible, and I don't want you to think that this is like a Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter story. I want you to understand that this is the foundation of the world, this is how God set things up. I want you to imagine that you don't have to work for the presence of God, you're with him at all times, it is so easy to talk to God. Watch this, you walk, you talk with God, you live with God, and then you allow a serpent to deceive you, you partner with sin, and the first thing that comes to the mind of man is hide from God. And it's really easy to look back and be like, man, that's so dumb, why would you do that? But I would respond, but it's so dumb what we do, why do we do that? Why is it that some of you Easter will be the only time that you're in a church? Why is it that so many times you sin, and then all of a sudden you stop going to church, and then all of a sudden you stop having daily encounters, you stop spending time with God, because you do things that you wish you wouldn't have done, and then all of a sudden, instead of running towards God, we begin to run away from God, we begin to hide, why? Because shame is so personal. And the same way that you would feel if all of a sudden your clothes were removed in a public setting, that is how Adam and Eve felt in that moment when they realized we have sinned and there's sin in our life.

Once they fell, once they were naked, they sinned, they hid, and then all of a sudden when sin enters the world, and what followed, their nakedness, they hid from God, and then after they hid from God, here's what they said, they said, we had shame. They saw their nakedness, they felt ashamed, so they hid from God. See, from a Hebrew perspective, God sees nakedness and shame as symbolic, it is a spiritual separation from God. The Bible says this in Genesis 3, 7, after they hid themselves, they made coverings for themselves. They took lit leaves, this is so wild, guys, when they used to be covered with the presence of God, now they're trying to cover themselves with stinking leaves. When God gave them glory to wear, now they're wearing leaves. You know what leaves represents in the Bible? The New Testament teaches us, remember when Jesus went to the fig tree to find fruit and there was no fruit? He was relating it to the church that did not bear fruit. See, leaves represents a religious system without fruit in their lives. It's a religious covering. It's you trying to make something for yourself. yourself, be good enough, create a religion that can clothe you, and I promise you nothing can replace the glory of God over your life except for the glory of God over your life. So sin comes in, it steals their innocence, it steals their purity, it steals their identity, and then they hide themselves from God. Let me ask this question today, what are you shamed about and what are you hiding from God? What part of your life, what action, what behavior, what sin have you committed that you are trying to hide from the presence of God? Someone say shame go today. Number one, shame is very personal. Number two, shame is public. Shame doesn't stay private, it exposes you in front of people, it labels you by your failure, and invites others to cast stones at you. We see this in John chapter 8 verse 3. I was excited to use this text ministering today. You all know the story, it's the story of a woman who was caught in the act of adultery.

Let's read it together. It says this in verse 3, the scribes and Pharisees or religious leaders brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, placing her in the midst or a very public place. They said to him, teacher this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the law of Moses commanded us to stone such a woman, what do you say? Look at verse 6, this is wild. They said this to test him that they might have some charge against him. This is crazy to me. They didn't say this because they wanted to help her, they didn't say this because they wanted to restore her. Watch this, it didn't even have anything to do about the woman. They used this accusation against this woman to try to trap Jesus. That is how foul a religious spirit is. It goes on to say this, Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground and they continued to ask and he stood up and he said to them, let him who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at her. And one more time he bent down and began to write on the ground. Verse 9, and when they heard it they went away one by one beginning with the older ones and Jesus was left alone, someone say alone, with the woman standing before him. And he stood and said to her, woman where are they? Has no one condemned you? Verse 11, she said no one Lord. Jesus said this, then neither do I. And here's what he said to her, go and sin no more. The Pharisees or religious leaders use shame as a public weapon of humiliation, ridicule, and reproach. And Jesus refused to participate in her humiliation. Instead of confronting her, he confronted her accusers. He restored her dignity without denying her the truth. See this is what's messed up about a demonic progressive church that has abandoned the call of God. See if you only want to preach grace without any form of repentance at all, you miss out on the gospel. What Jesus showed us is you can stand in the gap between somebody that is living a life of sin and saying Jesus loves you no matter what. And then his last words to this woman was now go and sin no more. Watch, radical love will allow you to address the shame of a person and minister to that person at the same time preaching truth. Where you can say to someone struggling with same-sex attraction that that is demonic and that is not God's design for you. But he loves the hell out

of you and there's nothing that can separate you from the love of God. You can tell a couple that is on the verge of divorce, your hard heart is going to destroy your family and it's going to bring catastrophe to your family. But at the same time Jesus loves you, will restore you and renew you. Listen, you can battle the tension between what people are struggling with and telling them the truth of the love of God. Someone say shame go. But that's not what these religious leaders were trying to do. These religious leaders were weaponizing God's Word to try to attack this woman. And they all had stones in their hand. But today we don't throw stones because shame has gone digital. The church doesn't throw rocks anymore. We throw comments, likes and reposts. What we begin to do is when accusers are throwing rocks, when they're attacking, when they're trying to assassinate people's behavior, we... Dump on in the digital scene and we begin to make it as public as we can it is Disgusting what I've seen happen and the body of Christ with the body of Christ has reflected more of cancel culture Than they have of a mercy culture Well, I would remind you that it is that it is the enemy's plan to come and kill steal and destroy And it's the devil that accuses people it is Jesus that restores people I want to let you know today that there's no such thing as a ministry of accusation. There's only a ministry of Reconciliation and so far the church has looked more like the strategy of hell than the principles of heaven Let me ask this question Do you look more like the strategies of hell online or do you look more like the strategies of heaven online? Do you have a ministry of accusation online or a ministry of reconciliation online Does your life look more like religious foul Pharisees? You know what? I hate about this is they could care less about this woman and could care less about Jesus The only thing that they cared about the only thing they desired was the law Stoning her and catching Jesus in some sort of a trap This is what religious people do this is what demonic people do is they partner with the strategies of the devil They partner with shame rather than partnering with the principles of God Shame is personal shame is public and shame is demonic Shame isn't just emotional. It is very spiritual. It's the voice of the accuser

working to condemn disqualify and destroy the people of God When the Bible talks about the accuser of the brethren it is talking about Satan himself You got to be careful because when you are a part of Accusations you are beginning to reflect the nature in the character of Satan himself His primary tactic is not just temptation. It is also Accusation he weaponizes your past to imprison your present to block you from your future And I want to let you know that shame is one of the most demonic strategies and here's what it does It whispers this God doesn't love you It tells you this God doesn't want to use you anymore. I Remember when I was going through one of the darkest seasons of my life. There was the absolute most spiritual warfare I've ever gone through was in the season There was a time that I was attacked so heavy that I tried to talk at one point And I couldn't get words out of my mouth. I felt suicidal at times I felt the enemy telling me to leave my wife before we had children There was demonic things constantly come It was like a demonic swirl that I was in and let me tell you that the darkest moment the lowest moment Was the enemy was telling me this accusation and it seemed so real to me He was telling me that God didn't want to use me And here's the worst part about it. I believed him For some reason I Believed this lie that God didn't want to use me. Hold on a second. I want you to be aware of this If the enemy is attacking you with similar lies It means that there is something in your future very significant That God has called you to watch this 15 years ago The enemy is telling me that God doesn't want to use me anymore and here I am 15 years later Six years into a church plant of eight campuses It is wild watch there would be no mercy culture if I would have partnered with that lie of 15 years ago

There would be no Dallas campus. No Waco campus. There would be no mercy culture worship. There wouldn't be house visions There wouldn't be the justice reform there wouldn't be for Liberty and justice here this today if I would have partnered with the lie of Yesterday, I would not be living in the miracle of today The enemy is after your tomorrow by keeping you bound in your shame today. Somebody shout shame go You have to learn how to call the devil out on his lies Guys There was a prophetic word at the beginning of this year That we are entering a season of the accuser of the brethren guys. We're here and If you don't see it wake up And some of you are so immersed in it That you're sharing all sorts of videos and all sorts of things about so many people why in the body of Christ I don't understand this. How come in America in the corrupt government of America? You are innocent until proven guilty But in the church, you're guilty when someone makes one accusation. Explain to me how we've abandoned the Apostle Paul's teaching to Timothy where he said elders or those that preach the word are worthy of double honor and triple defense. Where's the double honor in the church? Where's the triple defense in the church? That we don't even see one part of honor in the church. People get offended so easy and you church hop and leave this and I'm gonna go find someone, a place that someone doesn't offend me. So quickly, so easily, because we haven't created a culture of honor. We've created a cancel culture of dishonor and shame. And the church has got to stop participating with the strategies of the enemy. The accuser of the brethren didn't just come to the woman caught in the act of adultery. We see it in Revelations chapter 12, verse 10, where it says this is what Satan does day and night. He comes and stands before God and he accuses God's people. We see that he did this with David when he tried to incite David to take a census of Israel.

We see he did this with Peter when the Bible says in Luke 22, Simon, Simon, Satan has come to sift you like wheat. The prophet Zachariah prophesied this where Joshua was accused by principalities in the Old Testament. This was a spiritual battle that took place. We saw it with David. We saw it with this woman. We saw it with Peter. And we see it happening in our lives, modern, right now, today. This is what the accuser does. I want to caution you. Do not partner with the accuser of the brethren. Do not partner with the lies of the pit of hell. Let me give you some practical advice. Make a list of every recurring lie that is attacking you. Then find scriptures that expose these lies. Then share these lies with trusted leaders and friends in your life. Here's what I'm telling you. Do not fight this battle in your own mind. The fastest way you overcome a lie is by exposing the truth. I'm going to say that again. The fastest way to overcome a lie is to bring the truth in. I was getting attacked pretty good over the last couple months with random different accusations from all different things, from people who never met me, never been here, don't know our leadership, don't know us, but just want to partner with the accuser of the brethren. And there was this day that I was having kind of a bad day. And all of a sudden, I started entertaining accusations like they were factual. And then all of a sudden, I felt like this heaviness began to come on me. And I went to go pump gas.

And as I was pumping gas, I reached for the gas handle. And as soon as I grabbed the gas handle, the thought went through my mind of, wait, this isn't true. See, this is what the enemy does. He gets you to entertain lies like they're true. Watch. And then you begin to steward lies instead of stewarding the truth of God in your life. And just out loud, as I was pumping gas, I just go, that's not true. It was that weird guy at the gas station talking to myself. I said, that's not true. Turn to your neighbor and say, it's not true. Come on, turn to your other neighbor and say, the devil's a liar. Come on, tell the person behind you, shame, go. Listen, we got to stop listening to the voice of the enemy and the voice of the accuser and start listening to the voice of truth. Let me show you how demonic this is. This is so wickedly demonic. The purpose of the accuser of the brethren, the purpose of this spirit of shame is not for you just to be ashamed of yourself. See, it just starts with you being ashamed of you. Where it ends up is you ashamed of Jesus. Romans 1 16, the apostle is saying, for we are not ashamed of the gospel. See, he was making a declaration. Watch. Shame visited me before, but I've exposed the lie. And I realize the strategy of the lie is not about me. The strategy of the lie is about him. Watch. Because if I deny him or I'm ashamed of him, watch,

I limit his power in my life. And Jesus endured the ultimate public shame for your sins and mine. Let's go back to our story in Matthew chapter 27. This is the story of Passion Week. It's the story of Jesus' public humiliation and crucifixion. Jesus is taken to the governor's headquarters. This is the Roman praetorium. This was the place where politicians and criminal judgments were finalized. And Jesus did not just endure immense physical abuse, but he endured immense emotional and psychological abuse. Now remember, in the garden, even before the abuse began, he is sweating to the point where he is precipitating blood. The degree of stress and weight, the weight of the sins of the world are coming onto him. There's not a human being in existence can identify with the abuse that Jesus suffered. And it started with his emotions. See, the Bible says a full Roman battalion, that's over 600 Roman soldiers were in battalions, gathered not just for the execution, but to ridicule, to mock and to humiliate him before the executions. See, crucifixion was invented by the Persians, but it was perfected by the Romans. And it was used not just to kill, but to dehumanize and publicly shame all of its victims. See, the Romans thought crucifixion was so horrific that they wouldn't even allow Roman citizens to be crucified.

It was reserved for their enemies or the lowest form of society. It was called slave punishment, or it could not be done to citizens, it could only be done to slaves, outsiders, or the lowest in society. Crucifixion was a slow, agonizing death through suffocation. Many people think that you bleed out in crucifixion, and that's not what happens. They put you on a cross and they put you in a place where you literally can't get air. And they would put the nails in your hand in certain spots where you would be able to hold your body weight. And so the way you died through suffocation, or the way you died was through suffocation. It was a nonstop, agonizing, painful death. But the victims were usually stripped, completely naked for hours or days before their crucifixion. In fact, Jesus was stripped twice, according to God's word. First of his own clothes, then after being mocked in a scarlet robe, he was stripped again. So let's talk about this scarlet robe. They took Jesus and they put a scarlet robe around him. Then they put a crown of thorns on his head, and then they put a wooden scepter in his hand or a reed. The reason why they did this is because they were mocking him. So the Romans, when they captured different kings,

they would take their kings and they would set up a mock kingship for them. It was a mock coronation. And so they would come in and they would put their victims in these raggedy robes, these broken crowns, these crushed reeds. And what they would do is they would mock him in a parade before they would kill him. This is what they did to our Lord and Savior. They did not realize, though, that that crimson robe represented the blood of Jesus. They didn't realize the crimson robe represented that he was a king and a priest. Then they took that crown of thorns, and the Bible says that they shoved it into his head. I've been to Israel. I've been to Jerusalem. I've seen these thorns through about this long each. And when they thought they were mocking him, they didn't realize prophetically what was going on because according to the Bible in Genesis 3, 17, when Adam and Eve sinned, the Bible cursed the land. The result of the cursed land was thorns came to the land. Jesus was wearing the curse in the garden and allowing the curse to be placed upon him. Then they gave him this reed and scepter and began to mock him, and they had no idea what he was willing to endure. Then the Bible says that they scourged him. Another word is flagellation.

What they would do is they'd take leather whips, and in the leather whips, they would take pieces of stone and charred pieces of rock. And when they would whip him, that charred piece of stone and rock would lash into the skin, and then they would rip it out. They begin to mercifully begin to beat our King and Savior. We don't even know how many times this took place before he was crucified. Then on top of that, they made him carry his own cross. The theologians teach the cross weighed between 300 to 400 pounds. So they believed he only carried the middle section. The middle section alone was between 75 to 125 pounds. Imagine being beat half an inch to your life and then being forced to carry your own public humiliation of crucifixion. He couldn't do it, so another man needed to come help him. Then they began to pound the nails into his hand, and pound the nails into his feet, and hang him on that old rugged cross. This is what Jesus suffered for you and I. He would endure all of these things just to put shame on the cross and tell shame to go. So hold on a second. The definition, the meaning of shame is when you don't think Jesus loves you. How can you hear the story of the cross and not think he loves you?

He endured all of that just because he loves you. What do you mean? Your sin's too great. What do you mean you're too far gone? What do you mean that act, that deed, that moment, that betrayal, you think that is as equal to what he did for us on the cross? Any time you partner with that demon of shame, what you are saying is you're saying my sin, or even hell's power, is greater than the cross. I know you're not saying that. I know you don't think that. I know you don't believe it. You've just partnered with a lie that is a demonic spirit that has told you that your sin or your shame is greater than the cross. But I want you to know when Jesus was hanging, suspended between heaven and earth, dying for your sins and mine, the entire time on the cross he was declaring, shame, go. Glory, come. I want to teach you this moment. I love God's word. I've been reading this word since I was a teenager. What I love about this word is you could read a scripture 1,000 times. When the Holy Spirit breathes on it, it comes alive. And it's saying something fresh, even though the doctrine doesn't change. Watch this.

As I was going through hundreds of scriptures on shame, when I was looking at all of these vantage points of shame, I could not shake Matthew 27.35. Matthew 27.35 is the verse, just leave it up on the screen so everybody can see it, where it says, they divided his garments. They sold his garments by casting lots. All of a sudden, I've been preaching the gospel for over 20 years. This sounds so weird to me. I've heard it. I'm aware of it. I know the theology behind it. But as I began to study shame, I noticed something. He was constantly naked. Two separate times in this passion season, in this season of suffering, they stripped him. They stripped him of his clothes. They brutally assaulted him. Then they put on the fake clothes of the fake king and mocked him, brutally attacked him, and then they stripped him naked again. And after they stripped him naked again, according to Matthew 27.35, they sold his clothes. When I was in prayer and study this week, I was thinking, why did they sell his clothes? And if they sold his clothes, it means he couldn't get his clothes back. And then all of a sudden, I realized he didn't need clothes because he was resurrected in glory.

He's clothed in glory. See, originally, Adam and Eve were clothed in glory, and they traded their glory for shame. And Jesus said, I'm going to take Adam and Eve's shame. I'm going to take my people's shame. I'm going to take all of the people of the world's shame, and I'm going to hang it on my shoulders. And I'm going to endure their shame, their public humiliation, their emotional humiliation, the physical humiliation. I am going to wear their shame. And here's what he said, and I'm going to trade them. Watch, their shame for my glory. Do you realize this is what Jesus does? Hebrews 12.2 says it like this, Jesus despised shame. Do you know what it means to despise shame? It means this, to render it power. I want to talk to your spirit right now. That demon of shame is so loud because it's powerless. That spirit of shame is so intense because it's powerless. It has no effect, watch, on your today or your tomorrow. Because on the cross, God said, shame, go. Once and for all, you've been delivered from the bondages of sin, shame, death, and defeat, and it has to leave your life once and for all. That's why Isaiah 61 says this. I am going to trade you, shame, for a double portion of your honor or glory because God trades his people on that day of Calvary for all of the sin and shame you've experienced. He trades you his glory. He says, Adam, what you gave up, I'm going to give back to you, and I'm doing it through the power of the cross.

Today God told me to tell you, he's exchanging your shame for his glory. Would you bow your heads and close your eyes all over this place? There's a scripture I want to read to you, huh? Romans 10, 11 says, whoever believes in him will not be put to shame. Today is a day of salvation. Today is a day to remove guilt, condemnation, and shame. Scripture says, therefore, there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Today I came with the word that today God is going to replace your guilt, your condemnation, your shame. I'm talking about the greatest mistake of your life. I'm talking about the greatest act of betrayal. I'm talking about your darkest moment. I'm talking about the thing you're hoping that nobody finds out, the thing that messes with you at night when you're asleep, the thing that has you gripped. I want to let you know that thing is what Jesus paid the ultimate price for on the cross. He came to heal you and deliver you from that shame. So you say, Pastor Landon, how do I do that? How do I get free from this shame? It's so easy. He made it so easy. The mercy of God made it so easy. We just repent of our sin. The Bible says, if we believe in Jesus, we are never put to shame. So if you're in this room and you have guilt, you have condemnation, you have sin, or you have shame, I don't want to embarrass you, but I want to see you delivered today. So with every head bowed and every eye closed, if you're in this room and you say, I need salvation, I need the forgiveness of God. I need the mercy of God. I need the deliverance of God. I want the glory of God.

I've been away from God and I need to give my life to the Lord. If you've never put your faith in Jesus, you're living in sin. You're living away from Him. And you would say today, I want to give my life to Jesus. I want to put my faith in Jesus. I want to live for Him. I'm not going to invite you to the front, but I want you to lift your hands as high as you go. If that's you, lift your hands in this place, all over this place. Lift your hand high. I see you in the balcony. I see you in the balcony. I'm sure you're in the overflow. I'm sure you're online listening. Lift your hand high. Every head bowed and every eye closed right now, just lift your hand as high as you can. I see your hands. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Now all over this place, I don't want you just to repent after me. I want to teach you how to pray. It starts with just repentance. Repentance means that you're, you're, you're turning away from sin. So start telling the Lord right now, whisper it loud enough that you can hear yourself whisper it. Just say, Lord, I'm sorry. I repent of my sin. I repent of sinning. I repent for the wrong. I repent of my mistakes. Now tell him my faith is in you, Jesus.

Say this prayer with me. Just say, Jesus, save me. Say it. Say, Jesus, save me. Come on. The Jesus, the hippie, Jesus people used to say Jesus saves. He saves then and he saves today. Just say, Jesus, save me. Ask him to forgive me. Now here's the most powerful thing you can do. Ask the Holy Spirit right now to help you. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you right now. Say, Holy Spirit, would you fill me? Would you baptize me? help me radically love you lord like you've radically loved me come on now tell him change my life change my mind change my thoughts change my heart let me reflect your cross jesus put your hands down hundreds and hundreds of people committed their life to jesus thousands and thousands and thousands across dfw can you just put your hands together just thank god for his mercy so now here's the coolest part many people just got saved but i believe that many are about to get delivered because the lord told me prophetically this year we are going to get delivered from shane this year shane has to go so now i just want you to focus and concentrate on god if you want to stand you can stand if you want to kneel you can kneel if you want to come down the altar you can come down the altar but i want you to just concentrate on god for the next few moments somebody's about to get delivered of shame if you got a prayer language go ahead and use it nobody's prophesying in tongues this is not out of biblical order you don't need an interpretation of tongues to use your own prayer language paul teaches about this the cool thing is after people pray in the holy ghost even in church settings amazing things begin to happen

There's no right way to do this. There's no pattern. Mary fell at the feet of Jesus. Zacchaeus climbed a tree. Other men just followed him. There's no right or wrong way to do it. But I would encourage you to lift your hands and open your heart, and all over this place, just with everything you have, just begin to love on the Lord. Just begin to thank Him. Pastor Jaz already sang about that testimony. I would just begin to thank Him. I'd just begin to praise Him. I want you to thank Him for pulling you out of that pit, out of that miry clay. Think about where you were before Jesus. Think about when you were suicidal. Think about when you were broken.

Think about when your marriage was on the verge of divorce. Think about when you were sick. Think about when you said, Lord, if you come through, I'll serve you forever. I want you to think about how much you love Jesus. For the next 30 seconds, would you open your mouth and just love on the Lord in this place? Everything you have, just love on Him. Everything you have, just love on Him. Everything that you have, just love on Him. Come on, let Him feel you. Let Him feel you. Let Him feel you. Come on, tell Him about 20 times, I love you. Lift your hands high as they go all over this place. Just let the Lord love on you. All over this place, just breathe in the presence of God.

Just let the waves of the glory of God wash over you right now. So So So So So Come on, let him love on you, let him love on you, let him love on you. Let waves of mercy, waves of grace, let ministering angels come and minister to you right now. I pray that the power of shame be broken once and for all. I pray right now that your hands as high as they go. I pray that we would be clothed in glory, clothed in righteousness. Holy Spirit, I pray that you would do what only you can do. So I pray the same presence that's here right now, I pray it goes with Your people. I pray they would encounter this love, this glory daily. Lord, I thank You it is so easy to encounter You. Your mercy made it easy. So I pray over them that the revelation of easy come. That it's so easy to feel You, to hear You, to encounter You, to know You. I pray the same sweet spirit that is in this church right now, I pray mercy will follow them. So I pray this presence goes with us as You went before Israel. We love You. We worship You. And we thank You. If you have felt God, heard from God, experienced the presence of God,
