Repentance | Jennie Allen + Matt Chandler | IF:One Night (With ASL)
I'm sitting over there listening to Matt and feeling this room and just saying, let's do this thing right now. Like this isn't some show. This is a chance for us to get right with God. And so we're going to do it. We're going to do it how the college kids do it, y'all. We're going to yell it out. We're not playing games. But Matt, you said something backstage. You were feeling the same thing. Yeah. Here's just a sense, just a sense for the room. I think because the difficulties and travails of life and the thousands of things that could be going on at any given moment, there's a tendency for us to just kind of make peace with what the enemy is doing in our lives, to just make peace that raising kids is hard and maybe they'll eventually be on fire for Jesus or maybe they won't. Or maybe this is the best version of me I'll ever be. Or this is as much power as I'll ever walk in or I'll never really be this addiction or I'm never going to. And what we do in that moment is we just kind of make these agreements with the enemy. We make peace. And I just I want you to come out. I just want you to come out of agreement with that tonight. I just want you to make no peace with him, make no peace with him. But that requires courage, like the lies prevalent and to step into the light with what we know is ugly is terrifying. But it's the way you break the peace treaty with the enemy that you say, I'll give you no peace in my life. You'll have no peace in my kids, my family, my relationship with my friend, my husband, my money. I give you no peace. I didn't get to the part of my story when the when when the room broke in S.E.U. Everybody was yelling out their words, but there was a girl in the back that one of my friends was standing near and she was heaving, heaving on the ground. And when it was quiet in a religious environment, she stood up and yelled abortion. And then she crumbled to the ground. And everyone that was in that room would say that's the moment the room broke. And so we didn't plan this, but let's do it. So whatever you need to say, for some of you, it's a sin. And for some of you, it's a weight. Hebrews 12 makes that distinction. And I'm so grateful for that because some people will yell out suicidal ideation. And I want you to know that's not a sin, that you have been in bondage and in war within yourself because of the enemy. And to speak it out is to release the power of the enemy because you don't want the devil to be alone with you in the dark saying whatever the hell he wants. You need to bring other people in it. And so that's what we're going to do right now. And so here's what I say is if we all say it together and we all say it loud enough, not everybody's going to hear your answer. So you ready? You got it? Let's be bold. And I want to speak to all of you in awkward living rooms. Do it with us. Let me just say this. It's not easy.
Do you think it was easy for that girl? That cost her everything. It was the price of the Spirit of God falling on that place for 10 days and changing it. So you pay it. And you know what's crazy every time you do it? Freedom comes. And you never regret it. So, you ready? Here we go team. Everywhere, all over the world, right now. One, two, three, go. Go, keep going, keep going, keep going. Up top, say it. Keep going. Keep going. Yeah. That's so good. So good. That's so good. Yes, Timothy. Say it or not. Let's forget this. Come on. You got this. You got this. You got this. ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪

And for every word that was just spoken and the ones that weren't. Your power from the cross is enough. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
