Living Without Offense Pt. 7
Letting go of offense is not a one-time act but a spiritual discipline that requires practice, patience, and dependence on God’s grace. Inspired by Proverbs 19:11 and modeled by Jesus—who responded to betrayal with love and restraint—overlooking offense is about choosing forgiveness over retaliation, keeping our hearts open to God and others. It’s not ignoring pain, but planning ahead to be unoffended, allowing us to reflect Christ's character and remain instruments of grace. Love empowers us to forgive, and when we release bitterness, we create space for peace, healing, and even someone else’s redemption. No matter our past, God’s grace meets us with open arms, and as recipients of that grace, we’re called to extend it to others.
