Letter to the Church | There Are No Leftovers
It can be so easy to feel overlooked, unseen, or even forgotten. But make no mistake— in the Kingdom of God, there is no such thing as leftovers. You were created on purpose and for a purpose that only you can fulfill. We encourage you this week to remember that God is doing something incredible through this remnant of people who are called to His purpose.

Say, hey, it is so good to see you today. Merry Christmas. Say, I didn't know I was gonna get to see you today, but I'm so thankful that I did, amen. Man, what an opportunity to just be able to be in the house of God.
Maybe it's been a long time, maybe this is your first time. And we're just so glad that you are here. One of the things that we get the honor of doing is just giving back to the Lord. And I believe that in everything, there's this factor of trust. And I've been able to just watch it walk out in my life and just see the faithfulness of God in every area. And for a little while now, we've been talking about trusting the Lord. And some of us do this on a regular basis and some of us may not, but I want to just challenge you today in this. We've started doing a miracle offering is what we call it. And it's just kind of a moment to just say, man, I just wanna believe God, not just for a miracle in my life, but a miracle in the church and just see what we can do. Last year, we was able to bring about $30,000 in on this week. And that may sound like a lot of money, but in hindsight, we've gave away over $100,000 this year, just in missions and outreach and everything that we do. And so this is just a kickstart to what next year looks like. And so we're believing, honestly, I believe that this year we can do even better. And the wonderful thing is, is it's not primarily made up of just big things,
but it's everybody coming together with, in you today, and in the kingdom and in everything that is happening and at the church and God, I wanna sow a seed to see a miracle happen in my own life and in my own family's life. And maybe we need a financial breakthrough. One thing that I have learned is in Genesis, the Bible says this, the Bible says that a seed can only reproduce according to its own kind. You can't sow, you don't plant an oak tree and get a maple tree. You plant an oak tree and you get an oak tree. And as I sow seed into the kingdom, and I'm saying, hey God, you know what? I'm gonna trust you with this. And I know you got me because here's the reality, God can do better with our 90 than we can with our 100. So it's saying, hey God, you know what? I'm gonna trust you with everything that I have. And so if you don't, maybe you wasn't prepared for this. We we you didn't bring a check with you but we have opportunities that you can give online on on this next slide you can scan right there it'll allow you to download the app there's the next slide that comes up that will have some more information you can text to give you can give on the app you can give on our website uh no matter how you give whatever today will be designated to uh the miracle offering and we're just going to put it forth to to see God's kingdom built through Reach KC amen amen there we go that's what I had like 10 people excited at first time and now everybody's on board and so hey if I could get some ushers to come forward

through where we were at and and we're in a series that is titled letter to the church and and I want to take kind of an aerial view approach to Romans 9 today and just kind of see what we see last week we looked at a message that was titled it's all in the works and we looked at how even when it doesn't look like things are working out in our favor it is like it literally is and not only that but Jesus our advocate is interceding on our behalf during the process that's what makes it even great because it's like hey your situation might not look ideal but guess what Jesus is petitioning the Father right now on your behalf and things are going to work out for the good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose and we know this that when the Spirit prays the heavens move amen God is moving on your behalf even if it doesn't feel like it just because your situation right now doesn't look admirable just wait because it's all in the works it is all in the works something is happening in your situation that you didn't even know was happening and God is using it for the betterment of what we have because on the other side of this guess what we are getting something we didn't even know we was getting and then you look back and it's like man I didn't know that I needed what I had now but how often do we say that if I knew now what I know back then things would be different amen we would do different we would have made better decisions in relationships we would have made better decisions in employment we would have made better decisions with money I mean we would have made all kinds of better decisions had we known now but that's the great thing is the situations that we're going through now are going to be a if I knew now back then things would have been different so just sit tight because it's all in the works God is doing something his thoughts are higher than our thoughts when God is finished it's going to be better than you would have even prayed for you was praying for something so minute that you was actually reducing the blessing that God was intending on giving you and and you just wanted your prayers answered but but shame on us because we pray such small prayers we don't even know the magnitude of what God could do in our life and we just
begin to pray that's why we need to quit praying about materialistic things and start praying about spiritualistic things and then allow God to break through in the spiritual realm and then when he breaks through in the spiritual realm something shifts in the physical realm and everything changes everything changes it doesn't have to be his thoughts are higher than our thoughts his ways are higher than our ways he is for you I promise you he is for you well no he's not because this is just because you're sitting with a lot of the situations that we rebuke our self-inflicted wounds and then we blame God because we made bad decisions no we've got to be better stewards of everything that God has given us including our lives our families our situations I have to look at things and be like hey you know what that's a potential possibility because of the decisions that I made for the first 27 years of my life and now I'm reaping some of those things that was back then because earthly decisions get earthly consequences sometimes it's just a kingdom principle it just really is and so today I've titled my message there are no leftovers there are no leftovers have you ever been kind of just chilling at your house and heard the refrigerator hum in the dark like it just knew something was wrong and you're like trying to figure out what the hum is but tucked behind a half-empty bottle of ranch that's this plastic container of leftovers forgotten and deeply offended you know what I'm talking about I mean one that at one point you knew was chili I mean it was this bowl that at one point what but now only the masking tape labeled chili is says that it is even though the chili itself inside the bowl questions that claim because it's not even certain of its identity because this suspicious green fuzz has appeared out of nowhere that is growing with mad confidence and it's just beginning to proclaim something new and as time has passed the the leftovers reflected their own demise and downfall you know I'm talking about like they remembered come on this is for all of the older people in the room those of us that know what it's like to remember being hot and flavorful and talked about in a positive fashion at some point in
our life come on amen amen she's like yes that's me hallelujah I'm with you girl I'm with you I understand you know things just ain't the same for gangsters no just that but Tuesday night you know Tuesday night had been the last good day of it Wednesday just brought sheer denial and by Friday the chili had went through a change that it never expected to do and by Sunday it had developed a smell so powerful that it could have filed for citizenship you know what I'm talking about like it's it's that you know what it is like one evening you know the fridge door opens and the light hits the container and the leftovers froze like it was doing a boogie before it opened it you know what I'm talking about and the lid just cracked open from the gases inside of it and whenever it did this smell launched into the kitchen like it had been waiting for this moment all its life hold on and when it did you staggered back gasping trying to understand how a smell could be so angry like you don't even understand how the spell the smell could be so spiteful but this was no longer food it was a warning amen some of y'all are thinking about a dish that you have in your refrigerator right now that's like this you've even snapped the lid back on it and left it there knowing that inside that container the chili had evolved into a new life form judgmental and clearly holding a grudge against you I mean it is clearly angry and immediately close the lid and apologize a claim that you don't even believe is true and you quickly back away only to find yourself moments later carefully placing the container in the trash can like it was an explosive device that still had the pin seated in it safely come on I know I know that's true and as we do it the lid is seated tight for the last time as the leftovers reacted I could have been something special if somebody would have just chosen me how many of us are thankful that the kingdom of God has no leftovers a man how many of us are thankful that the kingdom it honestly reminds me of going to dinner with my boy talk you know or even drew there are no leftovers I mean I'm talking like it don't even matter it could be your first time sitting at dinner with Tucker or drew and if you have something left on your plate it is getting eaten it
reminds me of the guy that is sitting by the chow hall window in the county jail even on sauerkraut morning you hear me and they're like hey hey you gonna eat that hey can I can I get that hey let me get that let me get that I mean there is no I mean if you go to an all-you-can-eat buffet with drew that brother is licking the plate like a pit bull you hear me I mean there are no leftovers it's crazy but when you're reading Romans 9 and I'm not gonna read all of it today I want you to go back and read it because when you're reading Romans 9 the majority of it is actually designated to explaining theories such as an election and predestination meaning that some scholars believe that this passage supports that God only chooses certain ones to become saved before time began meaning that God chooses those who will never accept him and it presumes that there are some who will never decide to follow Christ simply because God chose them not to but one that defies scripture two that's not what this passage says at all and it took me to actually read it I struggled with it my theology was jacked up and I was like well hold on wait I don't understand and it took me to read it for two days time after time after time reading all of the commentaries that I had on it and it took me to do it for two days to really grasp what Paul was saying now remember when you're reading scripture you have to remember the context you always have to consider the context otherwise you could mishandle scripture accidentally and that's not what we want to do right and so first we have to remember the audience of who Paul was addressing it was the Jewish Christians in the Church of Rome this is who he was addressing of which thought that they were the only people God wanted because Jews knew that they were God's chosen people and they were bound by these rituals rituals that had actually began to creep into the church the the Jewish Christians were expelled from Rome for about 20-something years and and it was left made up of the Gentile Christians which was all of the unchurched people it was the people that didn't come from the time of the prophets and the the Old Testament they didn't have all of the scriptures memorized because it was a Jewish
tradition to have the scriptures memorized not everybody had scrolls and not everybody had Old Testament Bibles and so they would recite them and they would learn them and memorize them so that they were written on the tablets of their heart so that they could know them but that was the Jewish Christian this was not the Gentile Christians the Gentile Christians was more of a church that looked similar to reach KC amen it was people that was primarily unchurched they didn't have all the traditions they didn't have all the customs they didn't have all of the language and all of these things did but after about 20 years the Jewish Christians come back into the church and they start ridiculing the Gentile Christians and treating them a certain type of way simply because they didn't look like they fit the fit and these these Jewish Christians they were bound by rituals and long list of do's and don'ts leaving a relationship with God to look simply like legalism and it was if you didn't do this and if you didn't do that and if you didn't do this and if you did this and if you did that and if you accidentally did this or you said this or you did this then then you really wasn't that and if you was this and it just got to be where it created this spiritual pride that was in them in other words if you had to have this facade on like you had it all together because you checked all the boxes spiritually and and nobody else could could walk it like you could because you just had it all figured out therefore is what they was doing was they was actually looking at the Gentiles as expendable as the church don't need you you don't even have it all together you don't even look like a Christian you don't even act like a Christian you don't even talk like a Christian why are you even at church why are you even at church and it reminds me of who we celebrate this holiday for I preached a message a while back that was titled this was years ago that was titled an unlikely King and it's because when Jesus came everybody that was expecting the Messiah he came in a position that did not demand fanfare it did not demand this way that everybody would just applaud him and praise him he came in a fashion to where he was born in a manger in some backyard in barn basically that
he was born at it was not the capacity of which it looked like why because he wanted to make a point proven by Old Testament prophecies that it was going to be something that you never even thought that it was going to be just like the Gentile Christians and yet even after Jesus's time the church was still acting incapacitated Acid ease that that that a Gentile Christian could not be in fact It was even common during this time period for Jews to even reference Gentiles those who were not of Jewish descent as dogs Now I'm not talking about like what's up dog That's not what I'm talking about I'm talking about get away from me you dog Like you you don't you don't even deserve to be in my vicinity you're unclean if I get caught in public with you I am Unclean I cannot be there get away from me because you're filthy you scum of the earth That's what it means Because you aren't the same color as me get away from me God don't accept you because you don't look you ain't from the same place that I'm from you ain't from the same Place that I'm from you ain't from the same area that I'm from you aren't from what I said This is who God love he don't love you. He don't love your kind. You ain't nothing but a dog That's what this was and it was common now imagine with me for just a moment if this was the case today Especially if it was coming from one of God's Chosen right like imagine just somebody that was migrated to America and and had been attending a growing church And and a follower of God Specifically a minister called her some Rachel racial slur What would have happened she would have stormed out talking about oh you gonna call me a dog What kind of minister do you think you are? How dare you insult me in such a way? I came for help and this is the treatment that I get. This has got to be a racial thing, isn't it? It's because of what I look like because I'm a Greek and you think that you're a Jew you think that you just have the Right to call me a dog. This is an outrage You sit over there with your staff and you ignore a needy person crying out for help Where is the love that you preach about? Oh, I get it. Oh, there is no multitude to impress right now It's just you and your church staff sitting there and your true colors are finally showing you ain't nothing but a hypocrite
I'm gonna talk about this on my on my social media ministry and I'm gonna blast you and I'm gonna give you a one-star rating on Google and I'm gonna tell everybody about the real kind of ministry that you guys have and then all of a sudden she storms out slams the door but Paul in Fact was not even saying in Romans 9 that only particular people could be chosen by God That was not what he was saying He was saying that it was up to God to choose who God wanted to use in certain capacities because God has no leftovers See God didn't accidentally make any single one of us. God didn't accidentally make a mistake He didn't create anybody just to be thrown away. Hear me church. You were isn't you wasn't made by mistake. You were made by design When he looked at you, he thought you were perfect. He didn't look at you and think man I made a mistake on that person man. If I could have just did it this way he didn't craft you in the image of him and then look at you and think Hi, it'll be good push her on through So yeah, she'll figure it out along the way Yeah, she'll be alright. Yeah kind of messed her up there. But hey, she'll be good. Yeah. He yeah, he looks a little funny But he'll be good Yeah, he gone. He gone stank, but he'll be I Know he looked at you and and he says hey, you know what you are wonderfully and Beautifully created in my image child and I want you to know that you hold the power of heaven inside of you that if you could just walk in the Identity of who I have called you to be I did not make you by mistake I made you by design and I need you to understand your authority. It doesn't matter what ethnicity you are It doesn't matter what religious background affiliation you have come from. It doesn't matter what kind of Socioeconomic status that you have come from you were all created on design and On purpose and it doesn't matter what other people say it doesn't matter what some of these other things are I didn't make you by mistake. I made you by design I came to talk to the ones in the room that have thought that they are too old to even be used by God Guess what? God has no leftovers. You aren't some old crusty bowl of chili, even though our backs feel like it. Amen
Back screaming right now talking about throw me away No, you're a child of God one that is chosen and has high favor upon their life If we would just begin to walk in it, guess what? We don't get to retire from who God called us to be We don't get to we don't get to give up on the call of God on our life We don't get to give up on the things that God has chosen chosen for us. If you have a gift, use that gift. It doesn't matter if your finger, my fingers hurt. Oh, you just pulled yard duty. Your back's been to hurt. You know what I'm saying? Y'all don't know that movie. Anyways. If you have a gift, use it. God made you by design. If that gift is giving, give without restraint. If that gift is serving, serve without restraint. It doesn't matter what age you are. If you're too young or too old, if it's praying, intercede to the Holy Spirit for the body of Christ and those that do not know him yet. Why? Because God has no leftovers. He sent every single one of us. I came to talk to the ones that reflect on all the things that they do not have. All the ones in the room that all we do is see the great things that others are doing for God and instead of us getting in the game and and sharpening our sword, we're driven by envy and jealousy and we have convinced ourselves that we aren't good enough to even be chosen but can I remind you of something that the devil is a liar that he is the father of lies and the things that you have been believing about yourself. I don't care if other people have even been saying him about you. It is not true. You are chosen. You are wanted. You are favored. You are anointed. You have a call on your life and you just need to begin to speak into your own life as if you are actually what God said that you are but we have gotten into this place where we actually begin to speak over our life as if we wasn't chosen
by God as if we aren't wanted by the church as if we aren't wanted to be used but God has no leftovers. You wasn't made by mistake. He created you with a magnificent design and when he looked at you, he looked at you perfectly and I just see this image of when he's crafting you in his image and he and he knows that you're getting ready to to be birthed and walk in to who he wants you to walk into. I have this similar feeling in my mind of imagery of when a child has grown to an adult and they're getting ready to walk out of the home. And and and you have this idea like and I've done the best that I could do. I hope they walk in the identity of who I have tried to raise them to be. And then you release them and I think that that's what God is and I just see him as as a father with a tear running down his face as he's seeing his child walk away for the very first time of going to walk into the identity of what he hopes that they are walking into and he's like, I hope you see who I have created you to be because you have so much purpose in you and all the days that you walk and you're you're shunning everything that God has given you. You're not even owning the identity of what he has placed on you and you're walking in this and he's just sitting there saying, man, I wish they would get back to who I raised them to be who I called them to be because they have so much more purpose in them. They have so much more. There is something in you that God deposited in only you. You may not see that but guess what? You have a unique DNA that nobody else can replicate. Not even the government. They haven't figured it out. Why? Because we was not evolved out of some crazy scientific measure. We was developed by a creator that nobody else can implement. They cannot fabricate some kind of reality to try to
they would love to clone. I almost wish I could have another me but it would be really weird and but but the thing is is I know I'd get a lot of stuff done if I had that but it still would not be godly. And we have a unique DNA and so often we are trying to replicate that which was only intended for somebody else. God didn't give you their DNA. God gave you a fingerprint that nobody else has. 8 billion people in the world and nobody has the same fingerprint as you. Nobody has the same DNA as you except what? Those that came after you. Why? Because you can only reproduce according to its own kind. It's the reproductive system. This is who God created. This is how he created things to be and and you can't take what somebody else's DNA is and try to emulate it because even though if you can do it physically, you will not get what they got spiritually. Because you're trying to be somebody else physically trying to own what they have spiritually but there are bruises that they've carried in silent battles that you don't even know yet because you're trying to walk into. a battle that you're not even equipped to fight. You don't have the proper gear. You don't have the proper gear for the battle that you're trying to fight. You're just trying to emulate what somebody else has. And you cannot do that because it will always leave you feeling empty and void. God didn't create you to be someone else. He created you to be you. So you know what? Be the best version of you that you can be. Oh, you don't like me?
Quit being around me. You know, I like I'm my biggest fan. So I don't care if you like me or not. I'm going to cheer me on when ain't nobody else cheering me on because I know who God has created me to be. I'm not conceited. I'm confident. I know who God has called me to be. I know that I am a son of the most high king. I know that I am anointed for a time as such as this. I know that I am called to broken people. I know broken people are going to hurt me. I know that I'm walking in through a battle that I might not be equipped to fight, but I'm figuring it out as we go. And I'm hurt. I'm learning and I'm hurting. And there's times where it doesn't look pretty. But hey, guess what? We're going. And if you don't like it, then I guess I don't know what to tell you. Start to own who God has created each one of us to be and be that best person. Listen, you don't need modifications. You don't. Yeah, there we go. Somebody that was quick to the call on that. You don't need modifications. God created you exactly how he created you. Why try to change yourself? Because you ain't happy with you. That's a personal issue. That's the insecurity that you need to grasp. You don't need modifications.
You don't know. You don't need reassignments. God didn't make a mistake. He knew who he created you to be. Why are you trying to be somebody else? Why are you trying to be something else? You don't need that. You don't need modifications. You don't need reassignments. And you definitely don't need somebody else's anointing. You don't. What you need is what's already inside of you. You just have to find your identity in him because no matter your background, it doesn't matter if you're Gentile or if you're Jewish, if you was chosen people of God or if you was a broke down prisoner, drug addict, womanizing person that was hustling, trying to find money. It don't matter. None of that. God did not make any mistakes. He created you on purpose and for purpose. And Paul was boldly addressing the Jewish Christians, the ones who thought that they were better than everybody else simply because of their ethnicity. And he explains this even further in Romans 11, not to get ahead of ourselves, but in Romans 11, he says, but if some of the branches were broken off and you, although a wild olive shoot, he said, don't get it twisted. You're grafted into among the others. And now you share in the nourishing root of the olive tree. Do not be arrogant toward the other branches in the house. Because if you are, remember, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you. He said, then you will say branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.
That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast in faith. So don't become proud, but fear because if God did not spare the natural branches, he ain't gonna spare you neither. He said, you can, you can play if you want to say you can mess around and find out. You can keep acting holy, but live in a double life. You can keep riding the fence. You can keep being unstable in all of your ways because you're a double minded man. You can keep playing like this. You can keep pointing at the end of your finger towards other people. You can keep talking at people instead of with people. You can keep putting people down. You can keep doing all of these things. But he says, he says, don't get it twisted. You are accepted by grace, not by election. And he goes on and he says in Romans nine, he says, for it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it. For the scriptures say that God told Pharaoh, I have appointed you for the very purpose of displaying my power in you and to spread my fame throughout the earth. Now, Pharaoh got to choose how that played out. He had a choice. God gave him 10 chances to say, Hey, I'm going to respond and I'm going to let the people go and I'm going to do this. But his heart got hardened. And he said, so you see God chooses to show mercy to some and he chooses to harden the hearts of others so that they refuse to listen. That's what he says. Whenever you go back into Romans one. where we read that some would be given over to a reprobate mind because they knew the truth but they did not respond to the truth so then therefore he gave them over why do you think the last time that you relapse and went back out it was worse than the first time why you think it was harder to overcome because
all of the sudden it was almost as if you couldn't even recognize that God existed because there was a reprobate mind there was this inability to choose there was this inability to decide that hey I want to get back to where I was and God had to draw you back to him because he give us a chance he give us this opportunity and Paul goes on in chapter 9 to quote two different prophets from the Old Testament and the interesting thing is is the Jewish Christians would have been very familiar with the the prophets and he begins to describe what the prophets Hosea and Isaiah identified as the remnant Romans 9 he says this in verse 25 he said concerning the Gentiles he said not not concerning you I'm addressing you he said I'm talking to you it's kind of that look at me when I'm talking to you and listen anybody's parents ever said that shut up and listen to me it was like Linda Linda listen to me they said concerning the Gentiles God says in the prophecy of Hosea those who were not my people I will now call my people and I will love he's saying he's telling the Jewish Christians hey don't you remember when God said that there was gonna be people that was not of that descent that he was going to call his people and he said those that were not my people will now be my people and I will love those whom I did not love before and then at the place where they were told you are not my people there they will be called children of the Living God and then concerning Israel he's like oh yeah concerning some of y'all's people Isaiah the prophet cried out though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand of the seashore remember because the promise that was given to Abraham is that his descendants was be as numerous as the sand on the seashore it's all brought together he said only a remnant will be saved he said see y'all had your chance you had your chance to be everything that that God had created you to be and and to do all this and he said for the Lord were carried out his sentence upon the earth quickly and with finality and Isaiah said the same thing in another place he said in verse 27 only a remnant will be saved verse 29 he said and Isaiah said the same thing in another place if the Lord of Heaven's armies had not spared a few of our
children we would have been wiped out like Sodom and destroyed like Gomorrah hear me church we aren't what's just left we are what's lasted there is something that is in us and I wonder if there is a remnant of people in the house today those that said those that other people said would never make it but are still standing strong those that people have discounted and wrote off those that people said would never amount to anything but is making changes in their life now to make noise for the kingdom of God I believe God is raising up a remnant army not just from within the the inside of this church but from within the confines of the prisons and within the confines of the inner cities and within the confines of a people group that somebody said would never amount to anything that people said would never amount to anything and I believe that God is raising up a remnant army to invade the gates of hell and snatch souls out of the enemy's hands because God is here to make something happen that never has happened before but to be in the remnant army there is something that has to happen and you cannot be of a faint heart you cannot be of a faint heart you have to you have to understand the assignment you have to understand what it's going to be because there are people that are going to ridicule you there are going to be people that discount you simply because of what you have simply because they wanted what you have simply because they don't know what it's really like they don't know what it's like to walk and there's going to be people that think that they can act better than you guess what there's going to be people that stab you in the back close friends family for no other reason than you're climbing to the top faster than they are they're jealous of the favor of God on your life even after the Gentile lifestyle that you've lived of completely defying God for the first portion of your entire life and now all of the sudden you've turned your life around and you've been honoring him in such a capacity that it has earned favor on your life that doesn't seem fair to the people that have been walking with the Lord for all their life and now they're casting stones at you and they're not happy with what God is doing
in your life and so they want to take you down but there are gonna be haters that try to dig up your past but guess what an army don't fold they fight and I'm not talking about physically putting hands on people I'm talking about an army that is willing to stand and say hey you know what I'm willing to walk this out even if people don't like it I'm gonna be one that ain't gonna back down from the enemy any longer and I'm gonna stand for what God said was gonna happen in as if his word said it I'm gonna believe it I'm gonna claim it I'm gonna walk in it it doesn't matter if my life says that that ain't true right now it doesn't matter that my kids say that it ain't true right now it doesn't matter that my friends say that it ain't gonna happen in my life God I'm gonna honor you I'm gonna walk in the truth I'm gonna walk in the light I'm gonna walk even if it looks like I've been defeated even if it looks like I've been beat down even if it looks like everything is going against the grain I'm gonna honor you God I'm gonna fight the battle on my knees I'm not gonna fight it with my hands I'm gonna proclaim a fast I need some people that's gonna hold my arms up that's gonna pray for me behind my back not stab me behind my back and I need some people that's gonna walk in unity of what the body of Christ said that it's supposed to be like and say hey you know what I'm not turning back I'm fighting for the on the unlikely I'm fighting for the overlooked I'm fighting for those that need help I'm fighting for the ones that need the Lord in their life I'm fighting for those that need the help of the Lord in their life I'm fighting because I'm a remnant people I'm gonna be the ones that stand for kingdom principles I'm gonna be the one that fights for the things of God and I ain't backing down just stay standing because this next passage Paul says what does all this mean even though the Gentiles were not trying to follow God's standards guess what they were made right with God even though they were jacked up even though they were messed up and it was by faith that this took place but the people of Israel who tried so hard to get it right with God by keeping the law they never succeeded why not because they were trying to get right with God by keeping
the law instead of trusting by him they stumbled over the great rock in their path God warned them of this scripture when he said I am placing a stone in Jerusalem that makes people stumble a rock that makes them fall but anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced listen you have lived your whole life fighting for approval of fake realities fighting for approval you have tried to impress the wrong people hoping for validation that only God can give you you can't get it from anybody else you can't get it what if we got rid of everything that was holding us back from who God called us to be today what if we said hey you know what I'm gonna quit listening to the lies of all the people that are speaking against me even if they're in the church even if they are a body of believers even if it is a Christian even if it is somebody that is trying to doubt me from where God you just look at your body and you look at your life and you say you know what God I'm gonna be who you called me to be it doesn't matter what anybody else says about me I'm gonna line up my life with you according to your word I'm gonna honor you in every single area that you told me to honor you and if I make a mistake I'm gonna pick myself up and I'm gonna keep on fighting because I'm not getting beat down by the lies of the enemy what if you started to walk in that identity what if you started to claim exactly who God called you to be and not what everybody else has said you are what if I bet you today that your life could radically change for the benefit of the kingdom because guess what the devil is not intimidated of a timid Christian he's not intimidated of a Christian that don't even believe in themselves let alone believe in the power of God so I wonder If some of them soldiers that stood up today, some of them ones that said, hey, I'm ready to fight this battle. I'm ready to fight this fight, would say, hey, you know what? I'm going to get it right today. I'm going to fight this thing. Maybe you wasn't standing.
Maybe you still aren't standing. Maybe you're in here today and you say, you know what? I need to have a personal relationship with the Lord, maybe for the very first time. Or maybe it's the very first time in a long time and you've never given your life to the Lord. And you say, you know what? I want to be a part of that army. I want to be a part of these people that are standing for me. I want to be a part of the people that actually made a declaration two minutes ago that they were here in my corner, that they were going to lift up my arms, that they were going to help me fight through this battle, that they were going to help me pray through this battle. And I want to be a part of a family like that. I want to be a part of a tribe like that. Maybe you've never given your life to the Lord. If that's you, could I just get you to slip up your hand real high like you ain't never made a better decision in your life? Come on. I see those hands. I know some of you. Hey, if that's you, if that's you and you raised your hand, maybe you didn't raise your hand. Could I get you to slip down here real quick? Could you just step out real quick in faith and just say, hey, I'm going to make the best decision of my life. I'm going to make the best, I ain't never made a better decision before. Hey, hey, if that's you, come on. I see those hands. Come on. Hey, we want to get you connected. We want to get you, we want to, come right over here, come right over here, come right
over here. It's all right. Don't worry. If somebody ain't walking down with you right now, they've walked this walk before. It ain't a walk of shame, it's a walk of faith. It's a walk saying, hey, you know what, I'm going to walk into everything that God has said that I was going to be and I'm going to make that decision today by faith. Maybe you're in here today and you just say, man, I've been getting weak in the battle. I've been listening to the lies of the enemy and I got to get over this. I can't keep listening to these lies. I need the truth of the gospel. God, I want to trust in you. God, I need you in my life and I want to fully trust in you. Hey, as the worship team begins to play here in just a second, I want you to just, I want you to get to a point where you can just step out and say, hey, you know what, I'm going to worship. I'm going to, I'm going to worship with them and I want to just declare today that God is good in my life, that I can trust in him and even if it doesn't look like it, he has my back and if that's you, as the worship team begins to just declare, I want you to just step out of your seat and let's just make this a declaration for the last two or three, four or five minutes that we have and just say, God, I trust in you. Can we do that today, church? Come on. I trust in God, my savior, the one who will never fail. He will never fail. I trust in God. Hi, thanks for watching us. We're so grateful that you've been a part of our church. We take it lightly that God is using unlikely people from overlooked places to do extraordinary things for the kingdom of God and you are a part of that.
