Honor is Spiritual Warfare | Spiritual Leadership Podcast with Landon Schott
I saw the spirit of offense going rampant in the body of Christ. He was coming in as the accuser of the brethren to take out the righteous with the unrighteous. How many ministries are destroyed over people's personal preferences? You may be in your flesh, but you are never in your spirit in dishonor. Every time you engage in dishonor, it causes you to walk out from spiritual authority, and it causes you to lose your fear of the Lord. Because dishonoring people will never honor God. This is spiritual warfare that's coming against your life, your finances, your marriage, your church. You do not personally ever come against demons, ever. But a secret to spiritual warfare is asking the Holy Spirit to give you specific strategies for specific battles or specific seasons. And one of the greatest ways to push back demonic activity is to I'm Landon Schott, and this is Spiritual Leadership, where we're helping leaders become spiritual leaders. Today I'm going to be addressing a strategy of spiritual warfare I call honor-based warfare. How honor is spiritual and how dishonor is demonic. Specifically, I'm going to be teaching you what the Lord has taught me and how to use honor to dismantle demonic attacks against you. I'm also going to be answering some of your questions about honor-based warfare. Let's get after it. So what is honor-based warfare? I'll explain it like this. You have to leave the presence of God to dishonor, but honor keeps you in the presence of God or keeps you in the protection of God. Let me teach you what God has taught me. So when we start talking about spiritual warfare, it's important that you understand what we're talking about. Spiritual warfare is the spiritual war over the will of man. A lot of people don't know how to do proper spiritual warfare
or they were taught wrong or bad things. I'll give you an example. A lot of people think spiritual warfare is being loud and obnoxious or praying really violently or coming against principalities. And I'd liken it like this. Imagine that you're in a battle and you got the enemy on one side and you're on one side and you see one guy running out from the battle lines and he's got his machine gun and he's shooting it in the air and he's just yelling, I'm going to get all of you and shooting all of his bullets everywhere. What's everybody going to do? Everybody is going to look at that guy and shoot that guy. A lot of people engage in spiritual warfare like that and because they don't know what they're doing, the result is, is they get more enemy fire. So let me help you understand some strategic ways to engage in spiritual warfare. It's important that you do not personally ever come against demons ever. Even the archangel Michael didn't do that when he said, the Lord rebuke you, Satan, when he was warring against Lucifer. You allow the Lord to fight your spiritual battles and you do this by lifting up the highest authority. But a secret to spiritual warfare is asking the Holy Spirit to give you specific strategies for specific battles or specific seasons. One of those strategies the Lord spoke to me about was honor-based warfare. So I was sitting by my fire where I do my daily encounter and I'm just going through the routine of my normal daily encounter and I heard the Lord whisper to me and he said this, he said, honor is the spiritual warfare strategy of this season.
And when he spoke it to me, I knew what he was talking about. I was filming this very podcast. I was doing an interview with our Dallas campus pastors. They were telling their story of Pastor Clay's adultery and affairs and how he lived a sinful life. And we're talking about the restoration of their family and how God called them into ministry. In the middle of that podcast, right here in this very room, I heard the Lord speak to me and say this, you're entering a season of the accuser of the brethren. As soon as he said that to me, I saw in the spirit, the Bible story of the enemy who comes in and sows the wheat with the tare. I saw the enemy strategy. He was coming in as the accuser of the brethren to take out the righteous with the unrighteous. It was a way he was going to try to take out leaders in the body of Christ. The next thing we begin to see is a spirit of accusation, which is a characteristic of Satan and the antichrist come against the body of Christ. I was hearing from pastors all over the country, how accusatory spirits were taking place in their churches. And I saw the spirit of offense going rampant in the body of Christ. And we did an entire episode on the spirit of offense that you can go and watch. I saw it begin to wreak havoc in the body of Christ. As I was seeing this, a few months later, I was stewarding, Lord, how do we respond against the accuser of the brethren? How do we respond against the spirit of offense? How do we respond in this season of warfare? And the Lord spoke to me and said, honor was the spiritual warfare strategy for this season.
It's important for you to understand what seasons you are in and how to respond and what spiritual warfare strategy. So in order to understand honor, we got to go to the word of God. In the Greek, we get the word epitomeo. It means this, do weight or a certain kind or heaviness of honor. That word epi is the word upon or over, and tomeo is the word to honor or value. So it literally means the right kind of value. So at Mercy Culture, we say it like this, honor is properly assigning heaven's value. Let me show you what the Bible says about honor. It says in 1 Peter 2, 17, that we're supposed to honor everyone according to God's word. That means this, there is not a person on the face of the earth that God doesn't require you to honor. Now, this blows the mind of religious people because we determine who deserves honor and who deserves our honor and by their behavior and actions. When Jesus said this, even if you are a woman caught in adultery, even if you are a thief on the cross, even if you are the most despised tax collector, it doesn't matter who you are in society. Even if you are an unclean woman with an issue of blood, everyone deserves honor. In dishonoring anyone, watch this, never honors the Lord. So watch this, when you dishonor the president, when you dishonor your pastors or leaders, when you dishonor police officers, when you dishonor parents, when you dishonor government agents, whoever you dishonor, this is important, you may be in your flesh, but you are never in your spirit in dishonor because dishonoring people will never honor God. Honor is a part of the Ten Commandments. We see this to honor our father and mother in Exodus chapter 20. We know that honor requires humility according to Proverbs 18, 12, where it says a man's heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor. It's important you understand all forms of pride are dishonor towards God. Honor releases miracles. I want you to see this in Acts chapter 6.
This is wild. You all know this story. In Acts chapter 6, it's when the people of Jesus' hometown took offense at him. Verse 3 says they were offended at him. This is when Jesus responded in verse 4 and says, a prophet is not without honor except in his own hometown. People make jokes about that all the time. You're familiar with this scripture, but go on to verse 5 and what does it say? It says he could not do mighty works there except lay hands on a few people and heal a few sick people. This is crazy, guys. Jesus could not do miracles where there were or was dishonor because where there is dishonor withholds miracles. Maybe this is why there are so few miracles in the body of Christ today across the nation is because there is so much dishonor in the body of Christ. Verse 6 says this, that Jesus marveled at their unbelief. This is crazy. In the Greek, that word means to be astonished or amazed. There was only two places in the entire gospel where Jesus marveled. One was at the faith of a Roman centurion and one was at the unbelief or the dishonor of his own people. I want you to hear this today. Where there is no honor, there will be no miracles. Where there is dishonor, there will be no miracles. If you want to see God move miraculously in your life, you need to be a person that wars with honor. I'm going to give you five ways now to use honor in spiritual warfare. I'm going to show you how honor fights against different kinds of principalities, and a lot of these go with other episodes that we've done that you can go and watch more. Number one, you honor God with your money.
Honoring God with your money wages war on the spirit that rests on money that we call mammon. You can go watch that episode. Matthew 6, 24 says no one can serve two masters. You'll either love one and hate the other, or you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve God and mammon. Proverbs 3 says to honor the Lord with your wealth. When you honor God with your money through tithes, offerings, and generosity, and good unseat or war against the spirit of mammon that wages war. or against the people of God. I want to caution you. If you struggle with giving to God, you will struggle in always, in all times, honoring God. Number two, you honor God with your body. Honoring God with your body wages war against spirits of lust and perversion, some we know as the spirit of Jezebel and Ishtar. I taught on these on the message, Back to Baal, where we exposed Ishtar, and I also did entire episode on the spirit of Jezebel. First Corinthians 6, 19 says, "'Do you not know that your bodies are temples "'of the Holy Spirit, whom is you receive from God? "'You are not your own, you were bought with the price.'" Watch this, "'Therefore, honor God with your bodies.'" When you honor the Lord in sexuality, what's happening is you're waging spiritual war. Number three is honoring God with your worship. Honoring God with your worship
wages war against all forms of idolatry. What is idolatry? It is when you have something that you worship in front of God. I told our church recently, how do you know what you worship the most? It is the thing that you think about or the thing that you do first when you wake up. If you grab your phone and you look at social media, social media is your idol. If you grab your phone and you look at your bank accounts, money is your idol. It's the thing that you are drawn to or that you think about first. So here's the way that you expose it. Make sure you have the self-discipline that you focus on the Lord first, where the moment you begin to wake up in the morning, your mind, your heart, your thoughts go to God first. You make sure that he's what you worship, you don't have idolatry. Psalms 29, 2 says, ascribe to the Lord the glory or the kabod or kavod that is due his name. We worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. That word kabod is the weight, value, splendor or how you ascribe honor. Number four, honor God in your marriage. Your marriage is spiritual warfare and honoring your God in marriage
keeps you from the sin of adultery. Hebrews 13, 4 says, let the marriage bed be held in honor among all. Let marriages be undefiled. This is an important thing that the true Jesus followers need to know. Gay marriage is dishonoring towards true biblical marriage. It's not about if people love each other, it's about honoring God. If you have questions about what the Bible says, you can read my book, Gay Awareness, where it is a deep dive Bible study on same-sex relationships and gay marriage, understanding what God's word says. When you are engaging into worldly, evil, sinful relationships, you are dishonoring God. But that's not just for the homosexual temptation, it's also for the heterosexual temptation because when you bring pornography into your marriage, that is a form of adultery. When you are sleeping with someone that's not your spouse, that is a form of adultery before you even get married. You're cheating on someone even before you may even meet your spouse. All of these ways are how the enemy comes against God's people through different forms of sexual perversions. Number five, honor God by honoring spiritual authority or church leadership. Honoring God by honoring your spiritual authority wages war against the spirit of offense.
First Timothy 5.17 says this, let the elders who rule be considered worthy of double honor, especially those that labor in the preaching and teaching gift. I'm gonna warn you, dishonor is almost always connected to the spirit of offense. And we are living in a day-to-day where dishonoring church leadership and deconstructing is becoming a viral fad. It is being launched and it's being promoted by the accuser of the brethren, which is an antichrist spirit, which its goal is to take down the church. This is important that you understand. This is spiritual warfare that's coming against your life, your finances, your marriage, your church. The enemy is gonna come after every area of your life he can. And one of the greatest ways to push back demonic activity is to make sure that you are honoring well because honor is spiritual warfare. And if honor is spiritual warfare, it's important that you understand so is dishonor because dishonoring is demonic. It partners not with heaven's value, but it begins with you. begins to devalue heaven's value. So the same way that God teaches us to honor everyone, Satan teaches you to dishonor everyone. So dishonor welcomes the demonic, just like worship welcomes the Holy Spirit.
And every time you dishonor, you are partnering with the demonic. Now, I know you're not meaning to do that, but spiritually, that is what is happening. When you partner with mammon or lust or perversion or offense, you are partnering with demonic spirits instead of partnering with the Holy Spirit. Let me show you this, because when you honor, what happens is, is you are engaging in spiritual warfare. Mark 9, I love this story. It's a story about that there was a unclean spirit that came upon a boy. And it says this, that Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and he cast it out. That word rebuke is a spiritual correction. What he began to do is he began to assign heaven's value, where that enemy or that demon was taking dominance over that boy. Assigning heaven's proper value is what actually casted it out. See, honor is operating in heaven's authority, and dishonor is partnering with the devil's authority. So when we begin to honor, it places us where God wants us, and it gives us spiritual authority to overcome demonic activity. The goal of the Spiritual Leadership Podcast is that you will spiritually grow. With every episode released, you'll be equipped with a leadership guide. In every guide, we will review the information
that was covered, reflect by asking questions to yourself, to God, and your teams, and apply what you learn. It's gonna be short, sweet, effective, and to the point. I don't want you just to listen to this podcast. I want you to be able to immediately apply it to yourself and the people you lead. So text PODCAST to 5990 and download the leadership guide with every podcast episode we drop. Let me show you one other scripture in the Bible where we see this happening. This was in Numbers 12, and this is a pretty complicated scripture. You have Moses, who God called to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt into the Promised Land. You have his brother, Aaron, who is a mouthpiece for him and a pastor, and then their sister, Miriam, who's also part of the leadership team. And in the story in Numbers 12, a spirit of offense, an accusatory spirit, come upon Miriam and Aaron, and they began to come against Moses. And what did they say? This is wild, because this reflects Numbers 12, churches in America today. They begin to say, doesn't God speak to us too? Doesn't God minister through us? And here's the thing, is they begin to come against their spiritual leadership, and they begin to dishonor.
And here's the wild part. God heard their dishonor. What happens in this story, you need to go read it for yourself. God comes down in a cloud, and he begins to rebuke them or bring spiritual correction to Aaron and Miriam. And then God honors Moses by revealing that he speaks to Moses face-to-face. So he doesn't say, I don't minister to you, I don't speak to you, but he acknowledges the intimacy or the spiritual authority of Moses. Then this is wild. He then says to them, why weren't you afraid to speak against Moses? This gives us a good insight, because of those that dishonor, in order to dishonor, it means you have to lose the fear of the Lord. And when you lose the fear of the Lord is when you enter into the demonic realm of dishonor. And when Moses, or when God departs from the cloud and lifts the cloud, they're standing there, and Miriam, that looked like being the source of the offense, has leprosy. So Miriam has leprosy, and now she has to be put out of the camp because she has leprosy by Aaron, who's the high priest. Her brother now has to put her out. This is wild. So Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses and dishonored him.
And after they spoke against him, now they have to leave the camp because they dishonored their leader. Now in Numbers 12, one, it says, when they spoke against him, this is crazy, in the Hebrew, it means opposition, criticizing them, or being openly critical. One of the translations in the etymology of that word is this, it had an accusatory tone. So they criticized him and challenged him. with a critical stone or a critical spirit. They said this, God spoke to us, God used us, and here's the thing, in their disagreements, they started dishonoring. The wild part of this story is this family feud wasn't even about a sinful issue or a theological issue. If you look at the issue, it was who Moses married, or it was a personal preference. Guys, this blows my mind. How many ministries are destroyed over people's personal preferences? How many churches are destroyed? And the Facebook theologians go wild because everybody is dishonoring left and right, their church leadership, other people they go to church with, all because dishonor that was in the heart all of a sudden starts coming out of people's mouths. Here's what you need to understand. If there is dishonor inside of you,
it will always eventually come out. How do you know? Because Matthew 12, 34 says, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. It will eventually come out of you. Aaron and Miriam thought they were challenging Moses, but the truth is, is they were really challenging God. See, you must dishonor God before you can dishonor any person. And this happened because they lost the fear of the Lord. And when you lose the fear of the Lord, you will always lose your ability to honor. It's important you understand this, guys. Dishonor is not a personal thing. Dishonor is a spiritual thing. And here's what happened in Numbers 12, 9. It says, the anger of the Lord was kindled. Miriam was leprous. She had a skin disease because the thing that was on the inside of her came on the outside of her. And Moses was so humble that he began to plead to the Lord that God would restore her and God would show mercy on her because those that have a heart of honor are always waging war spiritually, not waging war through personal relationships. So Moses, who was the one that they sinned against and they publicly tried to sabotage his leadership,
is now crying out for God to show mercy. Numbers 12, 13, he says, Moses cried out to the Lord, oh God, please heal her, please. She was put out of the camp for seven days. And after seven days, she was healed and she was brought back into the camp because Moses cried out for her healing. You cannot operate in dishonor and receive spiritual covering and spiritual authority from your spiritual leaders. You need to hear this today. Every time you engage in dishonor, it causes you to walk out from spiritual authority and it causes you to lose your fear of the Lord with your God. Here's what I'm telling you. When you dishonor, you don't have a shepherd. When you dishonored, you step out from spiritual covering. When you dishonor, it means you have lost the fear of the Lord. So here's what happens in Numbers 12. Where we see honor-based warfare is that Moses was more focused on what God was doing and saying than what anyone else or what the enemy was doing and saying. Moses stayed in the presence of God. He remained in honor. But if you're gonna live in dishonor, it means this, that you're gonna remove yourself
from the presence of God. Let's recap today. Honor is a strategy of spiritual warfare. Honor is to properly assign heaven's value. Dishonor is partnership with the demonic. Dishonoring any person never honors the Lord. And you have to leave the presence of God to dishonor. But honor keeps you in the presence of God or keeps you in the protection of God. Let's pray. Father, I pray right now, in the name of Jesus, Holy Spirit, would you teach us how to honor? Would you teach us how to remain in your presence? I pray that you would expose anything that we've partnered with with dishonor. Any person, any place, any relationship, any people group that we have said it's okay to dishonor and now we are dishonoring you by dishonoring them, Lord. Lord, I pray for the spirit of conviction to come upon us. I pray right now that honor would break the hold of mammon, of perversion, and offense. Lord, I pray that you would teach us how to wage war through honor. I pray right now we would partner with your Holy Spirit and we renounce every partnership with the demonic. I pray this now. In Jesus' name, Amen. Let me give you some practical advice. I have five things for you today. Number one, be more focused on what God is doing and saying than what the enemy is doing and saying. Here at Mercy
Culture, we try to steward prophetic words. Stewarding prophetic words keeps you living in what God is saying and doing versus always giving your attention to what the enemy is doing and saying. I see this all the time with people in the body of Christ. It's almost like when you are driving in a car with somebody and the person next to you freaks out because they think that the car that's a football field in front of you, you're going to hit. And they're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, watch out, watch out. And you're like, hey, I see it. We're going to be okay. We're going to make it. A lot of people give so much attention to the things that the enemy is doing and not enough attention to the things that God is doing. So the way that you continue to steward what God is doing is by stewarding prophetic words that he already spoke. So make lists of everything God is saying through your church or over your community or maybe even prophets in the past that have spoke words over our nation or your region that you live in. Make a list of those things and pray into them, steward them, and you will see yourself grow in honor. Number two, don't make it personal. I know it can feel personal and it could be challenging to do this, but you need enough spiritual discipline through the Spirit and emotional self-control to not engage on a personal level, even though it feels personal. So you need to learn how to respond to people that you disagree with in kindness, but how to steward disagreement. You could tell them why you disagree and the reasons for it without attacking them personally. This is done with people online and sometimes it could be challenging, but despite the interactions, have the fruit of the Spirit, be kind, be honest, and be honoring. Number three, find intentional ways to honor people. I would say this, make it a part of your personal values. At Mercy Culture, we have a bunch of different values that we live by. One of them is honor. So it means this, on a regular basis, we are intentionally honoring people. We do this actually every week where there'll be serve team gatherings where we will honor individuals in the room and different meetings will open up with celebrations and honor how people have served and what they've done. And here's what it'll do. It will create a culture that honors versus a culture that dishonors or gossip and slanders. Romans 12.10 says, outdo one another in showing honor. It means this, that you have to be aggressive and intentional to strategically honor on a daily or weekly basis to honor well. Number four, spiritually lead people by confronting dishonor. This is really important. When you see dishonor, whether in your personal friendships, your family, or your community,
on the spot, immediately confront it. You could do this kindly, but it needs to be done. When something comes across that's dishonoring or you feel that demonic witchcraft on it, it needs to be exposed because a lot of people do not realize that they are partnering with the demonic by partnering with dishonor. So when you confront it and expose it, it gives them an opportunity to repent from it, reject it, and live in honor. Number five, be careful with siding with the crowds. Here's what I mean. We are living in a cancel culture and the body of Christ and not a mercy culture. It blows my mind how the body of Christ tends to look more like Pharisees throwing rocks than they do Jesus forgiving people, where we look more like judgment and condemnation than we do the grace and the mercy of God. And we have got to get back to the true meanings of the gospel of mercy, of grace, of forgiveness, of restoration. We need to see a restoration culture come to the church, not a cancel culture or an accusatory culture. It is amazing to me right now how many people— the body of Christ, are like John 8, throwing stones at people. And Jesus refused to throw stones, even though he was worthy, or he could, but he showed that woman grace. And then he says to her, now go and sin no more. I would challenge you to be careful about being a part of the cancel mob. Be careful when you look around and you realize whose side you are on. If you're sitting there holding rocks or holding comments on a keyboard, instead of holding the love of God in your hearts and in your hands, you may be on the wrong side. It's wild to me how many times leaders can easily get caught up on the wrong side. And you see things with ICE, or you see things in the government, you see different things, and you jump to a side. You see things with Israel and Palestine, and I tell young leaders all the time, pay attention to what different topics those people are all aligned with. And if you stand back and look, those are usually the people that are for abortion, that are for transgenderism, that are for perversions, and then also that you're aligning on these other sides of anti-biblical values. And it's really, really clear when you turn around and look around, and you're seeing yourself with people that don't believe in God's word, that don't believe in God's holiness,
and you're on the same side of them. You need to be careful about what crowds you are siding with. I wanted to take a moment and talk about one of the greatest injustices of our time. It's human trafficking. Right now, there are fewer than 700 long-term restoration beds nationwide for survivors of human trafficking. I'm going to say that again, 700 nationwide with millions and millions of people that are trafficked, only 700 places for them to go. To answer this cry of justice, our church has birthed a ministry called the Justice Reform. Right now in Fort Worth, Texas, the Justice Reform is building a long-term restoration home called the Justice Residence. It will house up to 100 women rescued out of human trafficking. The Justice Residence is a biblically-based and presence-driven facility that will disciple hundreds of women into healing and restoration with Jesus. I wanted to ask you and invite you to become a monthly partner with the Justice Residence. Help it make it possible for these women to have a safe place to learn and grow in their relationship with Jesus. To join us in this fight and to partner with us, text PARTNER to 59090 or visit thejusticereform.com. Asking questions is a great way to spiritually grow. I'm going to answer your questions about honor today. How do I honor someone who is very challenging? This is probably the most asked question I ever get on honor, and here's the answer. Don't ask me, ask the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will give you strategic ways and strategic assignments in order to honor challenging people. Many of you have seen Heather and I's story and testimony on our journey and our church abuse. We'll put a link down to it below, but we went through a really challenging time. In that episode, I told a story about how I was struggling honoring my dad due to the betrayal and the rejection I received by him.
I tell the story in the episode, but it goes like this. There's this one moment where I realized that the Bible is telling me that I need to honor my father and my mother. And so I was like, Lord, how do I honor them when I'm not in relationship with them? So I asked the Holy Spirit. And the moment I asked the Holy Spirit, I heard him say, name your son after him. And so I named my eldest son using my dad's middle name to honor my dad that I'm not in relationship with, and he's never even met my son to the date of this filming. And here's the thing, is by honoring the Lord, I can honor someone that's challenging. And so you take the focus off of how do I honor them, and you put the focus on how do I honor the Lord and what pleases the Lord, and he'll tell you how to honor them, which will please the Lord. How can I honor people in the midst of conflict? Great question. Here's my response. The two lanes are honor and honesty. Anytime you drive on the highway, there's always markers to keep you in the right lane. And when you're dealing with challenging situations, conflict, or challenging people, your lanes are honor and honesty. So while you're looking to show honor or assign heaven's value, you also could be honest with them. And I've seen this over the years in church, especially in ministry with controlling leaders, is people will say stuff like, you dishonored me, when the truth is you were just honest with them. So make sure that you posture honor in your heart to do the right thing. and honor the Lord, assign heaven's value, but you're also honest in all of these conversations. If leaders that I'm submitted to are telling me to do one thing and I feel like God is telling me to do another, what do I do? This is a good, challenging question. And I'm going to be honest with you. I'm going to talk to you like I would our pastors and leaders that I lead on a regular basis or our students that are in our spiritual leadership school we call SLS. If your leaders
are telling you to do something that's contrary to what God is telling you, I would say, why are you under those leaders? See, everyone gets to a place where you will be challenged with authority. And the question here says, I'm submitted to, and I would say, are you really submitted to them? Or are you just submitted to them until you disagree with them? I say this in my Jezebel book, that those that operate in the Jezebel spirit are always submitted until their will is tested. And the moment they hear something that they don't like, they're no longer submitted. So here's the question. Are you submitted to true godly leaders? And if you are submitted to godly leaders, then be submitted. And here's how I look at it. If you're submitted to a real godly leader and you feel like God's telling you to do something and they feel like God's telling you to do something else, and you say to the Lord, Lord, I want to be submitted to leaders. So I'm going to ask you to tell them and I'm going to submit to them. What you're doing is you are transferring the responsibility onto your leaders. Now, why do you think scripture says that leaders will be double judged? Because they'll be judged for themselves and they'll also be judged for the people they lead. Now, again, I'm talking from the aspect that these are godly leaders. So godly leaders will never tell you to do something that is unbiblical, immoral, or unethical, obviously, because they're godly leaders. So when it really comes down to push comes to shove, the question is, is are you truly submitted? Now, if you reach one of these scenarios and you are trying to submit, here's what I would encourage you to do. Ask your leadership to pray. Ask your leadership if they would pray and they would hear God and then circle back about these things. And if you're really a part of real, true, biblical, godly leadership, they will pray and they will hear, and you can get in unity. I've seen this over and over and over, but I would challenge young leaders, always find a way to truly submit and obey the Lord. All right, so this last question, I had to read a few times and make sure that my team explained it to me well, but the question is, is what makes me feel honored? So someone asked, as Landon, what the things that other people do that makes me feel honored? And if I'm really honest, it's when they truly understand and practice daily encounters, and when they really hear God and obey, which comes from spending time in daily encounters, in God's presence, I feel most honored. Nothing gives me more joy as a spiritual leader than watching people passionately follow the Holy Spirit while they're serving people, which is the definition I have for spiritual leadership. And I feel so honored. I feel so excited.
It's my favorite thing in ministry is watching you guys hear God and obey. If you desire to spiritually grow, I want to invite you to join me on the journey.
