Guided Prayer To Trust God's Timing

Take a moment right now and just breathe. Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale. Again, breathe in and exhale. Let your heart and your mind settle. You don't have to rush toward your future right now. Just be present with God. God's Word says that in His presence, mountains melt. Let the anxiety of the day melt away as you lean in to spending time with your Heavenly Father. If intrusive thoughts rise up, let them wash over you as they go away and refocus your thoughts back on God. Sometimes calling can feel exciting and sometimes it can feel slow. Maybe you're waiting for promises to unfold. Maybe you're wondering if your faithfulness even matters. Maybe you're even being tempted to quit, to settle, or to lose heart. But calling isn't only about where you're going. It's also about being faithful in the journey. Faithfulness leads to the next destination. What good is it if you gain the whole world but you lose your own soul? Being faithful in the little things gives you strength to take on the big things. In Galatians chapter 6, it says, let us not become weary in well-doing, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. First Corinthians chapter 15 says, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord. And Luke chapter 16 says, whoever can be trusted with little can also be trusted with much. God honors faithfulness. Right now, we're going to go before God and pray to strengthen us in the area of our faithfulness to Him and to the things that He has put before us. God, we come before you right now, bringing our calling into your hands, bringing the

purpose you have into your hands. Help us to recognize that purpose is not a destination, but it's a journey that unfolds, that leads to a destination. Everyone's purpose is different, and in every area of our life, every season of our life, that evolves and changes. Remind us, Father, that our purpose is not tied to someone else's purpose or the work that we do, but it is what you have called us to do. Help us to remember that out of every painful moment in our life, that can produce purpose. You see our dreams. You see the things that you have placed inside of us. Our past, our present, and what's to come. You see it all. You see the places that we've grown tired. You've seen the places where we need your strength. Our Word says that in our weakness, your strength is made perfect. Right now, we quietly bring our calling to you, God. The big dreams, the assignments, the motherhood you've called us into, possibly fatherhood, the things that you have placed in our hearts, the things that we have been believing for, we give that to you. And as we are faithful over the little, you make us ruler over much. Let us not think about the things that have not come to pass that we are believing for, but to embrace what we have. Help us remain faithful, Lord. Keep our eyes fixed on the History. which come our help which is you. You help us when we want to look to the left or to the right. You keep our eyes fixed on the path of faithfulness you have called us to in this season. Even when progress feels slow, even when we see others and we believe that they are further along than we are and we feel like we should be there, God help us recognize that you are not withholding anything from us, but you may be withholding it for us, for our

protection, for the fulfillment and the fruition of what you have called us to do. When it doesn't come when we want it to and the path feels uncertain God, we ask for your peace that goes beyond our understanding. We will be anxious for nothing but in all things we will pray, we will make supplication to you and we will be thankful for where we are now. As we remain faithful to what you are calling us now, as we remain faithful to the things that are in our hands now God, you will continue to guide us into things that you have for us. Your word says that your blessings add favor and they add no sorrow, so if we are sitting in sorrow now Father, that may not be your blessing for us. Let us be content with the things that you have in our hands right now. Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale. Breathe in his peace and his comfort. Exhale anxiety and discouragement. God, we inhale your strength and we exhale exhaustion. We inhale new passion and new fire and we exhale everything that is not of you that we are trying to hold on to and make things happen on our own. Let us walk with you faithfully as the disciples walked with you day and night. Let our faithfulness to you be greater than the faithfulness to the things of this world. Father, we renew our commitment today to what you have called us to do. Refocus us to a life of obedience instead of outcomes. We trust your timing instead of forcing our own. Father, we recognize that faith and trust are two different things. Faith says you can do it. Trust says you will do it for me. We choose to trust you even in the midst of uncertainty. We choose to trust that you are a good father who leads us and guides us into all ways of truth and righteousness. Remind us that every act of faith matters. Every act of faith matters. Whether we're being faithful to our jobs that you have called us to, to our families that you have entrusted us with, our faithfulness to call those relatives that we may not even want to reach out to, Father. The love that we show those that are unlovable is an act of faithfulness. God, your word says that we can show love to lovable people. That's easy. Anyone can do that. It takes the heart of Christ to love the unlovable. Give us the strength, Father, to separate behaviors from people. To love the original intent that you had for

your people. To push aside the offense so that we can love people faithfully, as you have loved us faithfully. In the midst of our mess, you've loved us. In the midst of us falling, you've loved us. In the midst of disappointing you, you have loved us faithfully, relentlessly. Let us love you and others in that same relentless fashion. We can't do it on our own. We need your spirit. Fill us right now with your Holy Spirit. We receive it. I invite you to open your hands. Surrender yourself. Surrender your life. to God. Your timeline and expectations, you thought you would be further along, surrender that to Jesus. Let him know right now that he is the author and the finisher of your faith and we choose to trust his timing. Give it all to God right now. Say this with me, declare that God has called me. I will remain faithful. I will not give up. God is strengthening me. My obedience matters. I trust God's timing. I am walking in purpose right now. Father we thank you. I pray for everyone that is listening under the sound of my voice. Strengthen them, encourage them, help them to be faithful. Help them to know that you have not left them nor forsaken them and when it feels like they are alone let them know that you are there. Give them a little wink. Give them encouragement today that their faithfulness matters and that the only way that we can be faithful to others and to ourselves is because you were first faithful to us. Thank you God for your faithfulness. Help us to be strong knowing that if we are faithful to the things that you have called us to now we will be ruler over much more. In Jesus name we pray today.
