Gather Vision Casting | Jennie Allen + Aaron Coe | IF:One Night 2026
If gathering has always been about one thing, following Jesus and helping others follow him, because discipleship is how Jesus said the world would change. Around tables in living rooms, inside ordinary churches, opening scripture, making disciples who make disciples. We didn't gather to watch from the sidelines. We gathered to be sent out. And right now, something is burning. A hunger on college campuses, in prisons, in small churches no one is filming. Repentance, salvations, baptisms. At the same time, billions still don't know Jesus. The church is divided. Culture is asking, is there hope? And how the church responds now matters. This isn't hype, this is urgent, because moments like this don't last forever. This is why gather and if gathering exist, to serve what God is already doing and help the church move together. We saw a glimpse at gather 25, over 7 million believers worshipping in 87 languages at once, together under one name, Jesus. Thousands of local gatherings, men, women and children in churches, living rooms, campuses, arenas connected in real time to witness what God is doing across the earth. The first global church gathering of its kind and we believe it was just the beginning. Soon, the world will gather again. Believers across nations praying, worshipping and being commissioned. Women preparing to disciple boldly in their local churches, in cities across North America and beyond. And when the world gathers, let us be the ones who can testify to the awakenings in our neighborhoods, to the salvations in our cities. May we be a generation who has done everything we can with everything we have. May we be the generation that prayed, gathered and gave so that every man, woman, child hears the good news of Jesus right where we are. In our churches, in our homes, in our cities. We will stay ready, stay expected, because Jesus is coming soon. Now is the time to gather. Well, all of you and your places have caused all kinds of trouble. You have brought people together, you have shared the gospel, you have been bold and amazing. And I want to just tell you kind of the story line of where we are and where we're going. Are y'all with me? We tried to kill a gathering. We just tried to put it in the grave and be like, I think it's had its moment and it's over. And it rose from the dead. It's back. And I think it's because you all are the tip of the spear. But let me be clear and let me just tell you the story of what's happened in the last year. So last year we took a break from IfGathering and had just celebrated our 10-year anniversary, 2014, in Dickie's Arena. It was incredible. It was definitely a high point. And Gather began. And Gather was birthed out of this feeling in me, not just a feeling, I had a dream, vivid dream, that Jesus was coming back in 10 years.
And it just made me crazy, y'all. I'm just fully a fool. Like I have lost sanity and I am in 100% to see the gospel get to every person in case he comes back in our lifetime. I don't know when he's coming back. But I did not want to move outside of the will of God. In everything we've done here, IfGathering, God was like, this is what you're going to do. Gather, same thing. And I sat there as a leader for months saying, Lord, I don't want to just say we're going to do the next thing. Like where are you moving and we want to serve it. And so unfortunately it wasn't until fall. It would have been way more handy if it had come sooner. But in fall, I felt like the Lord confirmed, right now is the moment to pull every lever you have as hard and as fast as you can. And so I'm wrestling with God. I'm in a little hotel room in Atlanta. I'm wrestling with God. I'm like, you know I'll do it. You know I'll do whatever you want me to do. You've done it and you know I'll say yes, so just tell me what you want me to do. saying, you already know what to do. And I kept saying, no, I don't. And he kept saying, you already know what to do. And I was like, just tell me and I'll do it. And then I knew. And I hadn't even said it out loud to myself because I was scared to say it, but I knew what we were supposed to do. And so that night, I sat down with a friend. I'm going to introduce you to him in a minute. I sat down next to him. We just happened to have dinner together. And he's been a helper and friend through this whole story with gather and if gathering. And I leaned over and I said, I think we're supposed to do if gathering and gather every year for the church. And he was like, cool, because I've been working on a plan. And he pulls out a slideshow. I'm not kidding. He's like, I've been working on a plan. I know that's what you were going to say. And so let me just share with you our levers we have, but let me be clear. Nothing I'm about to share is possible today. It is only possible if you are with us for the glory of God and the good of people in our generation.
So I am sharing this humbly and a little trembly that we do not have the funds currently for this what I'm going to share with you. We do not currently have the staff for what I'm going to share with you, but I believe with as much certainty as I can on this side of something happening that we're supposed to try. But we need you for it. It's literally a group project as gather has been as if gathering has been as well. You ready? So in 2027, globally, we are gathering the church again. And we believe that what happened in 25 was just a pilot, just a little pilot with 7 million people conservatively watching from every continent. And so we are going to pull the global church together. And our hope is to pull the global church together the first weekend of March every year, and the church can count on it on our calendar. Yeah. And let me tell you why. Because when I woke up from that dream, my thought was we should gather the whole global church. And that didn't feel crazy to me on that morning in 2022 when I woke up thinking, what if Jesus came back really soon? It just felt smart. It felt like we need to be one team on mission as much as we can be, not agreeing on every theology, but agreeing on the name of Jesus and our mission. He said, be one as we are one. I think he didn't mean every jot and tittle in the Bible. Theology matters. Hear me clearly. But let me tell you, what we are going to agree on is that salvation comes through Jesus. And we're going to agree on our mission, which is to reach every person with the gospel by all means possible. Right now, currently a third of the world hasn't heard the name of Jesus. And I don't know a better mission sending agency than IfGathering. Like you all are spread out all over the world. And so we're believing that in partnership with IfGathering, with you, that we can reach a lot of the world together, mobilizing the global church to live out the Great Commission. We don't have different goals. IfGathering, gather, all the things that, writing books, everything that I do, everything is one goal. That all people may know the love of Jesus. That's our goal. So we're going to do gather the first weekend of March. But don't worry, because from now on, our goal is to do IfGathering the first weekend of October every year. So in 2027, we're going to be back. And guess what? We're going to do two days because y'all, this was not even close to enough. So back to two days in October, and we already have you dates for all you planners out there. If local girls, I'm looking at you, making you happy right now. And then there's another dream. What I've seen on college campuses,
I want to see happen all over the world. And so we are praying and dreaming about, and this is where you got to pray with us. We're praying about something called gather cities. And it's just this idea that what we've seen happen in campuses, what if it happened in cities with churches all working together, praying and dreaming about how do we reach our city for Jesus. And so, we are looking for where God is already moving. So San Antonio, we're looking at you, we're talking to Pastor Ed, and we're going to see where God leads us and where we're invited in. Let me just be clear, these are our levers that we gotta pull. But the good news is, this provides a lot of levers for you too. Because these are two things that you can invite people in to hear about Jesus and send out to reach people for Jesus. And then gather cities. Our hope is that it will be an evangelism movement. But guys, I mean, this is totally up to God. We are not forcing anything. We are just praying and waiting and believing, and yet we are preparing. Because it feels important, like God is doing something special. And it just so happens, like we have a big team spread out all over the earth. And I think our best days are ahead. But let me be clear, we are not building these events for you to consume. We are building these events so that many lives are saved. And that you are sent to your neighborhoods, to your cities, and possibly to the ends of the earth.
We all have another goal. You don't have to wonder what this is about. We want every person to know the love of Jesus and have a chance to respond to it. And so I wanna invite my friend Aaron out. Aaron Coe has been with me way too long. He and I have been friends for over a decade. And all of my crazy dreams, my sweet husband and Aaron Coe just go, no big deal, let's do it. So praise God for those men in my life. Yeah. So first, Aaron, have you ever once thought I was too crazy? No, never. Really? No. No, you have, I'm sure. First time we talked about Gather, we were at a meeting and I thought I was bringing her this massive idea for this big national tour we were gonna do, 30 cities. And I got to the end of my pitch and she looked at me and she says, is that it? And then she pitched the idea for Gather. So we're on a rocket ride ever since. Yeah. And so tonight, what we're here to do is to invite you to help. It literally isn't possible if two things don't happen.
One, if you don't help us host in your churches. We hosted over 20,000 events around the world live with Gather last year. And our hope is to what? Seven times it? I don't know what number we should put. Our hope is for 2.5 billion people to be gathered at this time. Hey y'all, really, that is the goal, that 2.5 billion would be gathered in March. And then our goal for IfGathering as well is just for you all to don't come back to this room, like host in your home, in your church, in your college. Like we want all of you gathering people around the gospel. So here's what I was thinking about, Jenny, as I was sitting there tonight, I was thinking about Jesus in Matthew 16, and he goes up to what's Caesarea Philippi in the Holy Land. And at Caesarea Philippi, here's what Jesus did. He said, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. And in that moment, he launched the movement of the church. Well, before Jesus got to Caesarea Philippi, Jesus and his disciples, the 12 had been doing ministry all around the Sea of Galilee, and they eventually made their way north up to Caesarea Philippi. And I've often thought to myself, how did Jesus do all of that ministry?
Did the resources to do all of that, did they just kind of like just show up? And then I read in Luke chapter eight, and Luke chapter eight gives us a sneak peek as to where the resources for all of Jesus's ministry came from, the ministry that ultimately launched the movement that we're all a part of right now. And here's what Luke chapter eight says. It says, Jesus was doing ministry all throughout the Sea of Galilee. He was there with the 12 and also with him were Mary Magdalene, Susanna, and the other women were there. And those women, it says, provided for the ministry of Jesus out of their own means. They launched the movement. They were the supporters behind the scenes, making it all happen in the time of Jesus. And as I've thought about what we're endeavoring on, there's nothing about gather that was easy. Time after time, every time we went to vendors and others to talk about gather in 80 something languages, they would tell us like the Olympics doesn't even do this. The Olympics doesn't even go to this extreme of a measure to pull people together. We were on the phone the other day, we were talking to a pastor in Africa and he was talking to us. He said, listen, we've got to get Starlink
and screens and projectors into all these far reaching places because there's places where they don't have the internet and we got to be able to get it in there. And I'm just thinking that we've got an army of people right here in this room that can help support this ministry so that we can have the resources in the cupboards, so to speak, in order to see it go forward. And so tonight we're gonna ask you to give because this is a massive, massive endeavor. And so as you're sitting there, you can pull out your phone and there's a QR code that's gonna come on the screen. So if you're at home or in your dorm room or in your church, you can use the QR code that's on your screen. If you're in the room, you can use the QR code. You can also tap right in front of you, right in front of your seat, and it's gonna take you to a giving page. And here is what we ultimately need. I'm gonna tell you the big vision of what we ultimately need. Ultimately, we need 20,000 people giving $25 a month in order to make all of what she just shared happen. We wanna kickstart that tonight with 1,500 of you jumping in with us. Well, there's way more than 1,500 of you in this room and around the world, but we wanna kickstart this thing tonight
to send a message to the world, to send a message to the enemy that we are on a mission together for the glory of God. And we just wanna ask you to join in with us. So right now, if you just grab your phone and if you'll just scan that QR code that's up on the screen right there, it's very easy, and we would invite you to give into what God is doing through gather and through if gathering. We're gonna give you a moment to take that out and fill out the information there. It's very easy, but Jenny, I'd love for you to just talk a little bit as they're pulling their phones out around the world. Just talk a little bit about what it took for us to get to gather 25. The scariest two years of my entire life. Y'all, there was one night my COO had called and said, we just can't do it. Like, it's not wise to keep going. And I'm yelling in the car because our team had worked so hard and we were close. It was like December before it would happen in a couple months. And I just couldn't imagine telling everybody like we can't do it. And I'm yelling in the car at God. I'm like, I can't believe you brought me to the Red Sea and you're not gonna part it.
You've gotta part it and you've gotta part it today. You have to part it today. And you guys, I had a meeting with someone that I didn't know that I walked in and he didn't plan on giving to me. And at the end, we just introduced, we talked about life and I told him the vision. He was like, great to meet you. Never said, how can I help? And at the very end of the meeting, I hit the table and I said, help. Like, I need money. I need a lot of money. And he said, how much do you need? And I said, by tomorrow, $2.5 million. He was like, okay. I had no idea he could give that kind of money. And God freaking split the Red Sea, like right in front of me. And I just believe like, but here's the thing, like we're coming early and we're just saying like, this is where God's calling all of us. This isn't him calling me. Like, this is him calling us. If we don't go together, we have a little event in a room with 3,000 people. But if we go together, somehow we reach the world. And so we're inviting you into this to give yes, to host yes, to pray yes. We're believing that together we can cause good trouble.
These are the levers I got. And I'm just a crazy enough girl to just say, let's pull them all as hard as we can, as fast as we can, and see what happens. So that's my prayer. So we're just gonna continue just in a posture of worship and a posture of giving. We're gonna invite the team to come back out and we're gonna sing and we're gonna worship. We're gonna check in really quickly. Okay, we've got 603 of you that have joined in with us. All over the world, you can see where people are starting to join in and giving. 600 and something is way more than 8%. That's wild, that's amazing, that's great. Yay, thank you. We're getting there, it's starting to click up. Oh, there's the number, I got you. There's the number over here, yeah. Amazing, oh, thank you all, that's amazing. It helps me not feel so alone, thank you, this is good. This is good, thank you guys. So we're just gonna continue worshiping and praying and believing that God is the God who provides and the God who makes a way in everything that he calls us to. Scripture tells us that he who began a good work in you will be, what? Faithful to complete it. But he's asking us to keep our eyes on him.
And so Jesus, we just pray in your name tonight. We know that you are the great provider. We know that you. are the one who makes a way. God, you've already orchestrated the path. You're just asking us to walk in it. And so God, tonight we just ask that you continue to use us to make your name great among the nations. In your name we pray, amen, amen, amen. Thank you guys. Amen.
