Repentence | Matt Chandler + Jennie Allen | IF:One Night 2026
I'm sitting over there listening to Matt and feel in this room and just saying let's do this thing right now Like this isn't some show This is a chance for us to get right with God. And so we're gonna do it We're gonna do it how the college kids do it y'all We're gonna yell it out. We're not playing games But Matt you said something back to you were feeling the same thing. Yeah, um here. Here's just a sense Just a sense for the room I think because the difficulties and travails of life and and the thousands of things that could be going on in any given moment There's a tendency for us to just kind of make peace With what the enemy is doing in our lives to just make peace that Raising kids is hard and and maybe they'll eventually be on fire for Jesus or maybe they won't or Maybe I'm this is the best version of me I'll ever be or this is as much power as I'll ever walk in or I'll never really be this Addiction or I'm never gonna and what we do in that moment is we just kind of make these agreements with the enemy we make peace And and I just I want you to come out. I just want you to come out of agreement with that tonight I just want you to make no peace with him make no Peace with him, but that requires courage like the lies Prevalent and and to step into the light with what we know is ugly Is terrifying but it's the way you break the peace treaty with the enemy that you say I'll give you no peace in my life You'll have no peace of my kids my family my relationship with my friend my husband my money. I give you no peace. I Didn't get to the part of my story when the when when the room broke in at see you Everybody was yelling out their words, but there was a girl in the back that one of my friends was standing near and she was heaving heaving on the ground and When it was quiet in a religious environment she stood up and yelled abortion and then she crumbled to the ground and Everyone that was in that room would say that's the moment the room broke And so we didn't plan this We didn't plan this
But let's do it So whatever you need to say for some of you, it's a sin and for some of you It's a weight Hebrews 12 makes that distinction and I'm so grateful for that because some people will yell out Suicidal ideation and I want you to know that's not a sin that you have been in bondage and in war within yourself because of the enemy and to speak it out is To release the power of the enemy Because you don't want the devil to be alone with you in the dark saying whatever the hell he wants You need to bring other people in it. And so that's what we're gonna do right now. And so here's what I say is If we all say it together and we all say it loud enough. Not everybody's gonna hear your answer So you ready you got it let's be bold and I want to speak to all of you in awkward living rooms I Do it with us Let me just say this. It's not easy Do you think it was easy for that girl that cost her everything? It was the price of the Spirit of God falling on that place for ten days and changing it So you pay it? And you know, what's crazy every time you do it Freedom comes And you never regret it So you ready here we go team everywhere all over the world right now one two, three go Keep going keep going So good, that's so good Oh Now far! Now far! We're gonna need you! Come on, Yannick! Come on, Fred! Fred! Come on, Yannick! Hey, can we do this? Can we keep shouting those things out?
I wonder if you'd be brave for me. If you're in here tonight, or if you're in your dorm room, or you're at your church, or you're... Man, you have been struggling with self-harm. And like nobody knows, and you're not even sure you understand why it's happening or how it's happening, you just find you just need to feel something. And you hurt yourself, and so you're hiding it, you're trying to do that in places that nobody would see. Would you be so bold tonight, if that's you, would you just lift both of your hands up in the air? Just lift both of your hands up in the air. It doesn't have to be any... If it's nobody, I'm... I see you, sister. Thank you. I see you. I see you. Anybody else? I'm going to wait long, I'm going to draw this out. Would you just keep your hands raised high? I just want to pray for you. Just go ahead. There's no shame in this. There's no shame in this. I'm more angry at the enemy, you know? Yeah. Would you just get those hands up for me, like you're not... you don't have a Baptist background? Okay. Here's what I think the Lord has for you. I think the Lord wants to give you a unique experience of His fatherly love tonight. Father, I pray for my little sisters in here. I just pray now in the deepest parts of their soul, that your love would wash over them. I just pray your love would be lavished upon them. What evidence that the enemy hates them. And so Spirit of the Living God, we ask freedom for our sisters. An experience of your love. Not just the Sunday school head knowledge that some of them have. Catch that wood on fire. Catch that wood on fire. It's one thing to know verses about your love. It's another thing that as the Apostle Paul prayed for the church at Ephesus, that they would experience your love in their inner man. And so Spirit of the Living God, I just rebuke whatever this is in the name of Jesus. I ask freedom for these sisters. I ask that even the compulsion would be driven out by your love. It would be driven out by your love.
And so Father, I just break any and all kind of spiritual power that's in these ladies' lives. That doors would be closed. That windows would be shut. That dark spirits would be driven out and would be replaced by your Spirit's presence, your deep love, your healing grace. And I just pray that maybe even miraculously over the next couple of months, those scars would begin to disappear. That those marks would begin to disappear. And that you would put brightness in eyes. You would put joy on faces. That you would let the oil of gladness, they don't have beards, but drip down their faces. They might be marked by your gladness, Jesus. That this day would be over starting tonight. That for the rest of their life, they would look back on this night and say, That was the night. That was the night I experienced the love of God in my inner woman. That was the night He set me free. That was the night He drove it out of me. That was the night I surrendered. And moving forward, they would walk in the delight of being daughters of the King. King, we praise you, Jesus. How easy is this for you to lavish love upon these sisters in the name of Jesus? And for every word that was just spoken and the ones that weren't, your power from the cross is enough. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We stand on it, we believe it, we know it to be true. Would we be a church that is safe to say the worst? Because we know that it makes you and your salvation that dear and that real. So God, I pray for healing. Rain down your freedom.
As we keep singing, God, we pray for healing. We pray that the sin that has bound us would not bind us anymore. And for every person that didn't say it out loud during this song, would they say it out loud? That bondage would not rule over our lives. The enemy would have no power over this room, over every room listening, over the church any longer. In Jesus' name, Amen, Amen. Oh, we thank you for the fire that speaks a better word. Everything's changed. It's getting harder to recognize the person I was before I encountered Christ. I don't walk like I used to and I don't talk like I used to. I've been washed from the inside. I've been washed from the inside. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was the blood. It could have only been your blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was the blood. It could have only been your blood. Oh, I have no doubt about it. I cannot explain,
but nothing's more real than this. In the presence of God, oh, what my heart experienced. When my shame hit the wayside and my sin met the most high, I was washed from the inside. I was washed from the inside. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was the blood. It could have only been the blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was the blood. It could have only been the blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was the blood. It could have only been the blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was the blood. It could have only been the blood. It could have only been the blood. Oh, it's nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. It's never been about performance, perfection, or striving for acceptance. Then we tell you it's only by the blood. It's never been about deserving or earning.
It's a gift that's freely given. Then we tell you it's only by the blood. Oh, does anybody want to be holy, righteous, purified, and spotless? Then we tell you it's only by the blood. Oh, does anybody want to be worthy, forgiven, justified, really living? Let me tell you, it's only by the blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was a lie. It could have only been the blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was a lie. Does anybody want to be holy, righteous, purified, and spotless? Let me tell you, it's only by the blood. Does anybody want to be worthy, forgiven, justified, really living? Let me tell you, it's only by the blood. Oh, does anybody, anybody want to be holy, righteous, purified, and spotless? Yes, we do. Let me tell you, it's only by the blood. Oh, does anybody want to be worthy, forgiven, justified, really living? Let me tell you, it's only by the blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was a lie. It could have only been the blood. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I know it was a lie. It could have only been the blood. Jesus, we are so thankful for the blood of Jesus. We are so thankful for the blood. What would we do without it?
Who would we be without it? We thank you, Lord. We thank you that you cover, you protect, and you restore all through the blood. And we are grateful for that. We thank you for what you're doing. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
