Before I get into the message, I want to take a second to honor Pastor Rich and DC, who are friends of mine and my wife. While we are coming, we remember the impact they have had on our lives and what it means. Blue Church, Si Eres Nuevo, started in 2015, and we launched in 2016. So their impact on us is what they call... One day in 1954, a man reached a mile before four minutes. And before this record was broken, it hadn't happened in hundreds of years. From that moment until today, more than 2,000 people have broken that record of a mile in four minutes. But only because one person did it, other people did it. And I feel that for us it has been that way. We launched in 2016, and I know that our church is what it is, and what God is doing. Because we were able to see people like Rich and DC, and do what we thought was not possible. When we set up a church, we didn't think we could do the things we are doing. But seeing Blue Church and Rich and DC, that it was possible, we were able to do it. So I know they are watching. You can honor your pastors today, Rich and DC. Thank you for doing what you do. I also want to say that I love Blue and Blue Church. They don't know what a part is, especially. We don't launch many conventions, but there is one that we don't miss. And every year we come to Fulcon, and what it deposits in our lives, and what it deposits in our marriage to the church. So we thank each leader who served in that conference, those who are in the staff, and the pastors. Our church is better because of what you do. But I am here today with my family, with my wife Liz, and our children. And my mom and dad are also on vacation, so they came with us. But I am excited to go today to the Word. Who is ready to receive a word from God today? I'm going to pray, and then I'm going to get into this. Lord, we thank you for what you are doing in Blue Church, and the lives of the Wilkerson pastors, for the influence and the legacy. We pray that your Spirit fills this place. Open the hearts in this place to receive the Word today.

It took us a lot of work to get here, and we don't want to waste it here. We are here, and our hearts are open. Speak to us, transform us, that we don't leave here as we came. That we are not only entertained, but that we have an encounter with you, Jesus. One that moves our whole life. And we pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Well, if you have a Bible, you can go to Luke chapter 24. Otherwise, the verses will be behind me. But we are going to be reading a lot of the Bible today. So if you have a Bible of paper, you are going to go everywhere. Otherwise, it is better, because we are going to be in all the Scriptures. But in Luke 24, verse 13, it says this. On that same day, twelve of them were going to a town called Emmaus. About eleven kilometers from Jerusalem. They were talking about everything that had happened. A context for those who are not familiar with this Scripture, is when they say that they were talking about everything that had happened. Everything that had happened was Jesus Christ being crucified. That is three days after the crucifixion. It is Easter Sunday. That is when this is happening. And the people who are talking are disciples of Jesus. It is significant, because they are not only talking about Jesus dying. I hope you have the context. But they are also talking about losing their best friend. And in verse 15, while they were talking about this with each other, Jesus, the same Jesus for whom they were crying, came and began to walk on the road with them. But they did not recognize him.

I don't know if Jesus was wearing a sweater that day. I don't know if when he rose up, he cut his hair, he shaved his beard. Whatever it was, they could not recognize him. In verse 28, it says, as he approached the people who were going to Jesus, he made them go further. But they insisted, stay with us, it is getting late. Soon it will be night. So he went in to stay with them. And that is what they tell someone when they meet Jesus. Stay with us. We, don't go, I don't know if it has happened to you that you never want to leave the church, stay with us, Lord. Verse 30 says, then being with them at the table, he took the bread, blessed him, and broke it and gave it to them. And something about the way he prayed, I don't know if you have people you know that pray in a certain way, Holy Father, it's like that's the way they pray. I don't know if it was that or it was when he gave them the bread and they saw their holes in their hands, but something that tells me about the way he prayed amazed them. Verse 31 says, then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, not on the way, but at the end. But he disappeared. In verse 32, they said to each other, our hearts did not burn while he talked to us on the way and explained the scriptures to us. In verse 33 it says, as soon as they set out, they returned to Jerusalem. The two, for their part, told what had happened on the way, say, on the way. And how they had recognized Jesus, not on the way, but when he broke the bread. Not on the way, but at the end of the way. And I think it's important that we don't assume, when I assume and I see this scripture that it was God who had made the disciples not recognize Jesus, it may not have been

God, but the pain, they may have been so overwhelmed by their sadness, so tired by their pain, so affected by their expectations and their hopes, that what happens many times is that it prevents us from recognizing what God is doing on the way. And just like the disciples, listen to me, sometimes it's not until the end of the way, at the end of the way that we look back and say, oh, God was there. And it's not until we get there and we have the baby, or until we have the job, or until we finally get married, or we have the promotion, that we look back and say, oh, my God, thank you, Lord. You did something, but I'll tell you something, God didn't just appear, he was there all the time. He was there in the battle, just because you saw him in the victory, doesn't mean that he wasn't fighting with you, that he wasn't with you. God didn't appear at the end, but you recognized him at the end. There's a difference there. He was there all the way, but we recognized him. And it kills me to think that the disciples, how they experienced that and could have changed that, not recognizing God at the end of the way, but on the way, they could have changed seven miles, that's what they were walking, seven miles of pain for seven miles of celebration. Seven miles of anxiety for seven miles of peace. Seven miles of being upset at God's absence for seven miles of enjoying God's presence. And there's nothing wrong with blessing God at the end of the way, but you lose something. Because what you're experiencing in a moment, you could have had it for miles, for miles. For many, many miles. There's nothing wrong with thinking and thanking God at the end, but you lose the blessing on the way. Why don't you tell whoever you have next to you the title of my message, tell them, it's on the way. What you're praying for, it's on the way. What you've been fasting, it's on the way. What you're waiting for God to do in your life, it's on the way. That reason you came to church this morning, it's on the way. I'm not a native of Florida, I was raised in New York, Staten Island. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Staten Island. But my family came to Florida on vacation almost every year. Many times, I remember, they would take us to Disney, Orlando, which is where I live now. It's a little crazy, but it's also a little sad because, I think you need to know this,

if you have kids and you plan on bringing them to Orlando, and it's a lot of money, but I would say, if they're under five, don't do it. Because it takes me every year to come and not remember anything about these trips. I only remember one thing about coming to Orlando every year, and it's because, I don't know how much the plane tickets were worth, but we drove every year to Orlando, and I don't remember Mickey, I don't remember any of these characters, or the pirates, or the mini golf. The only thing I remember was the trip. It was so much fun! That trip, I remember we had a minivan, and in the minivan we had a fridge with sandwiches. We didn't stop for food, that's for the rich, we had sandwiches in the fridge. And most of the sandwiches were mayonnaise. How many know that those are, look, two slices of bread and mayonnaise, there you have everything you need, right? And then we didn't have car TVs, we were born in the 90s. But my dad was an engineer, a mechanic, a carpenter, a type of construction, so he took a plug out of our car battery and then bought a TV. And he plugged the TV into the plug. I'm not lying, he's here, he's going to tell you. They were plugging it in, like, I'm not saying a car TV, that's not what I said. I said a TV in the car, which is different. Plugged in with a VHS. In the other one, plug. And we had a box full of VHSs, and we watched movies on the way. And when the movies were over, we played the alphabet game. It's a fun game, I don't know if you know it. But it was an adventure for me. I remember that I loved it, but the irony is so crazy. Right now I'm 38 years old, and I'm not going to drive four hours somewhere.

I didn't drive, no, no, the Brightline, I'm not going to drive. I love Rich and DC, but I'm not going to drive to Miami, it's too far. I hate long journeys, but I remember it was an adventure when I was young. But suddenly, on the road, the road changed for a delay. I focused so much on destiny, that I lose sight of the joy of adventure. Now the question I have for you today, that God sent me to ask you is, are you perceiving the adventure, or are you just waiting to reach the goal? And I think there are moments in our lives, we all have those moments where we want to reach a place, in different seasons. For example, today, those who are single, raise your hand. Your moment of arrival, maybe, if you're single, it's marriage. But if you're so focused on the moment of arrival of marriage, you're going to miss the adventure of being single. And being single, I tell you, is an adventure. What you do in these applications is a little wild. If you're jobless, you're focused on the moment of arrival of work, but if you're so focused on that, you're going to miss the adventure of being jobless. I'm not saying that you stay in that adventure for a long time, but there's something about going through three months without a check, that you still have a roof over you, that you have food, and you need seasons like that to show how God is your provider. Not an employer, not a check, but the Lord is the one who is with you. And if you don't go through those moments, you're not going to learn that that is God. If you start a business, you have a moment of arrival, that is, to get to these big companies, but you miss the adventure of being a company, of starting. If you're married and you don't have children, I have friends who have tried to have children for years, and the arrival is that son or that daughter, but you can also have an adventure of trying to have children.

I'm just saying that. For many people in their lives, if you're married, just if you're married, remember this. I know where I am. I'm in Miami, so let me make it clear. For many people in their lives, that's what I've learned. There are only two seasons, here and there. And that's what I've learned. Many people, whether you're there or not, they're not happy here. And they say to themselves this, when I get there, then I'm going to be happy. So what they do is because they're not happy here. They spend their whole lives trying to get there. But when they get there, the craziest thing happens. There, they change their name. And it's no longer there, because now there, they become here. So listen, if you can't learn to be happy here, you'll never be happy when you get there. Never. You have to learn to be happy here. Now, this is the trick. You have to learn to be happy here without being comfortable here. Because God wants you to be moving, but sometimes we're so comfortable here. And this is what I learned. God will sometimes interrupt us here to take us there. And that's where the separation happened. We knew we weren't going to let him go, so he had to make you let go, so you could move forward, because you weren't going to go for yourself. That's why they let you go from work, it wasn't because he wanted to punish you,

but he wanted to push you, move you. He wasn't going to try to move you, just because he wanted you to get there. That's what I'm saying. Because God isn't here or there. Do you want a theology, a revelation of who God is? He is omnipresent. So he's not here or there, he's everywhere. God isn't the place here or there, he's the place everywhere. It's not just because God has something special in that season that you want to get, but because what he wants you to have in your life is in the process of getting there. He wants you to move. He wants you to move. What God wants to do in your life isn't here or there, but on the way. If you're taking notes, this is my first point. The arrival isn't there, the arrival is on the way. And I'm going to prove it to you with a story. From Jacob. In Genesis, chapter 25, verse 23. Are you familiar with the story or not? Two nations are here. It says, Two nations are in your bosom, two peoples will dwell in your womb. One will be stronger than the other, and the greater one is Saul, he will serve the lesser one. Jacob. In the biblical times, the greater one received the inheritance, the blessing. He received the money, he received the land. And the lesser one didn't receive so much. So God is changing this. And he says, even though you're the younger one, Jacob, you're going to get it. But it wasn't going to happen, but in the time of God.

And Jacob didn't want to wait for the time of God. So Jacob and his mother deceive his father. They deceive him into believing that it's Saul so he can give him the blessing. So his father is blind and they deceive him. So he tries to get a shortcut to get there. And there are no shortcuts to get there. I'm telling you, there are no shortcuts to get there. So Saul tries to kill Jacob. So he runs away. He's a fugitive. And he goes to his uncle Laban. And while he's on his way there, he has an encounter with God. In Genesis 28, verse 16, it says, When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, Without a doubt, the Lord is in this place. And I hadn't realized it. He wasn't waiting for God to appear where he was because he hadn't gotten there. And he was waiting for God to do something there. But on the way there, God finds him. In verse 17, it says, With great fear, he added, How amazing is this place. This place is not here or there. This is the way. And this place is amazing. It's no other than the house of God. The door of heaven. In this scripture, this is where Jacob begins to develop a personal relationship with God. If you read these scriptures, you will notice that up to this point, God referred to him as the father of Abraham and Isaac.

But up to this point, every time he is referred to, he refers to the father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Because you can't go beyond faith. You can take your children to church, everything you want, and tell them, you're a Christian. But you can't pass a relationship to another generation. Each generation needs to find God for themselves. And this is Jacob's moment to find God. And the relationship he develops along the way doesn't go to Haram, where he will find his family, but goes to where his uncle, Laman, is going to deceive him and take advantage of him. So there is an area where he doesn't have a family, and he needs a family, and he needs a relationship. And the relationship he needed there would be found along the way. What he needed to survive that season, he found it. And his pattern throughout his life is that he leaves that place. In Genesis 32.1.2, Jacob also followed his path, but some angels of God went out to meet him. When he saw them, he exclaimed, this is the camp of God. That's why he called that place Mahanajin, before Laman pursued Jacob, because he was going to meet God. to take his family, but God keeps her in a dream and tells her not to touch Jacob. And at that moment it is important because Jacob understands that God is his defender. Because until this moment he was going to a place called Aquileia, but when he finds out that God is his defender, he changes from place to place called Zahir. It was because Zahir was where Saul lived and he knew that he could not go to the future unless he changed his past.

But he did not have the courage to face his past before he had the revelation that God was his defender. So no matter the consequences that came, God was going to fight for him. And once again, what he needed when he got there, he found it on the way. And on the way to Zahir, he has another meeting. In verse 27, chapter 32, verse 32-27, he says, He begins to fight with a man at night. And when Jacob asked him, what is your name? He said, Jacob. The one who deceives is what that name Jacob means. So he said to him, you will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, because you have fought with God and men and you have won. At this moment, he finds who he is in God, he finds his identity in Christ and he does not find it in the destination where he was going. And he did not find it in the place where he was. Listen to this, every significant moment that God, that Jacob had in his life, was on the way. And every significant arrival of your life will be the same. It will not be here, it will not be there, it will be on the way. And this is what happens when you go to the gym. You go to the gym, you start lifting weights. And one day you reach a personal record, a weight that you have never lifted before. And when that day comes, and you feel, maybe you do not feel, you are not big, but you feel big at that moment. The first time you put those plates on the side and you lift that on your chest and you look in the mirror and you try to flex, because people do not see you as weird, but you start flexing a little, you know, like you are happy for yourself. And that's what you tell yourself that day when you reach that personal record. And it's a lie. You tell yourself, it's like, I was stronger today. You were not stronger today, you recognized it today. You got stronger on the way. You got stronger on the way. It was what was developing in you, in the process. And you can not overlook this. Because if you overlook it, many people who get there, they come back here.

Because they can not stay there. Because they found a shortcut there. And in that shortcut over there, they got rid of the element that God wanted to deposit in their life, on the way. There are people who become famous very quickly on TikTok or whatever. And that fame, which is something they can enjoy, destroys them. Do you know why? Because they did not spend time in the dark, developing the humility they needed to carry the weight of fame. So they did not spend enough time thinking about what other people should think of them. And they did not develop the character to sustain that. There are people who win the lottery and the next year they are broken. And they are back here. Do you know why? Because they did not have to go through that of buying one and taking another for half. You do not know what it means to save. They did not do taxes when they earned $ 30,000. Now they are trying to evade taxes when they have $ 3 million because they did not develop what they needed on the way. So if you take notes today, what you need today is being done on the way. What I am today is done on the way. If you take notes, it says, joy is on the way. The joy is on the way. If you are not familiar with the Bible, the Bible has 66 books and within them, each book has books within those books. The book of Psalms has books within that book and sections within that book. And there is a section from Psalm 120 to Psalm 134 called the Songs of the Pilgrims. The Songs of the Pilgrims. And the reason why it is called the Songs of the Pilgrims is because three times a year at the Easter Festival of the Tabernacles and the harvest, all the people who lived in the country traveled to the city of Jerusalem three times a year. They would have a party, they would celebrate with the Lord, and for many people it was a trip of days, for other people it was a trip of weeks, for other people it was a trip longer than a month, but three times a year they would make that trip to Jerusalem, and Jerusalem is on a hill, and the reason why they are called songs of pilgrims, or ascents, was because they were songs that they sang from leaving their home to go to Jerusalem, and while they ascended to Jerusalem, they had those psalms from 120 to 134 memorized, and it is not so impressive, because if I play you some songs from Taylor Swift, you will know them, and you have these songs memorized, and they sang the songs, and what I think is beautiful about this is that they did not expect to get there to sing, they sang on the way, on the way, I do not know if you like it, but before arriving at church on Sundays, I put prayer songs, and my dad is like, we have four services, you are going to be singing four hours, we need to put these songs right now, and I tell him, son, this is my pre-worship, how many people do pre-praise before going to church, this is my pre-praise, I have to get there, with my pre-praise, I can not just get there, sing when I get to church, because it is not just good in church, he is good in the house, he is good in the car, he is good on the way, I'm going to sing while I have encouragement, I'm going to worship him, while I can, at any time, that's what I do,

my son turned 13 years old, and we celebrated together, doing a transition ceremony, we do it like in Jewish culture, like the Bar Mitzvah, my son turned 13, and what we do is that we celebrate our son, how he becomes a man, my dad was part of that, we talk about life, his life, and in part of this, to surprise him, he got up in the morning, I tell him, look, get your bags ready, we are going to fly to Arizona, and go to the Grand Canyon, and he did not want to, we went to the Grand Canyon, and we got there, and the guide found us there, and he tells us, we are going to go this way, and my son turned 13, we are going to do this transition ceremony, and I want to do this way, and he says, do you want to do a hard way? You chose the right one. What does it mean? I do ways all the time, and I never do this one. And that worries me, if you are the guide, and he says, no, no, no, I do, I walk these ways, but I don't do this one a lot, because it's pretty hard, and I say, ok, we started the way, and it was a mile down in the Grand Canyon, I don't know if you have seen the photos, but we got up, and we got down, and we realized that they were narrow ways, and we are, we are going to go this way. And I'm recording videos in case he falls, and I send them to my wives, and we get to that place, and we get to the bottom, and I'm tired when we get down, and when we get down, it hits me, that sense. And I remember seeing the guide, and I don't know why I didn't realize before, and how are we going to do it? Are we going to come and get a helicopter, or are we going to climb? How are we going to go back down? Now we have to climb up, and I say, I'm starting to think that going up is going to be worse. I became a man on that trip. It was so hard. We started climbing up, and I'm dying, and it feels terrible, and I say, it felt like a good idea, and I'm going up, as if we had seen a movie. We could have seen Rudy together. And I say, Dad, are you having fun? And he says, yes, yes, yes, I'm having a good time, son. And he starts climbing, and I'm like, what? And I'm there miserable, and I remember, I'm climbing that, and I remember that the Spirit of the Lord speaks to me, and I look to the right, and I see this. Do you see on the screen? There, I see this. And I feel that the Spirit of the Lord speaks to me, and says, JJ. You're going to get there. You're not going to die here. The only question is, are you going to enjoy it on the way there? And then I saw this picture, my son. And I feel more joy because he's having the time of his life. And then we stopped and we did this. And that's a real smile, I'm not lying. I was so full of joy and happiness because I realized that beauty, even though it was hard, even though it was difficult,

beauty is what we are enduring. Beauty, the opportunity to enjoy it while we go. And this is a message from God in VU Church. I'm going to see it on camera and I'm going to say it as best I can from God. You're going to get there. The only question is, are you going to be upset on the way? Are you going to be sad on the way? Are you going to be complaining to God on the way? Or are you going to enjoy it on the way there? And if you need inspiration to enjoy it on the way, do me a favor and look around you. Look at your wife, look at your life, look at your children. If you're single, look at your career, look at your job, look at your home. If you're unemployed, broken, look at the sun, look at the stars. Look at the sky. If you live in an apartment with no view, look at your breath. Look at your heart, look at your hands. If you're in a hospital dying right now, look around you. You haven't gotten there, you still have breath. And my Bible says that everything that has breath, praise the Lord. If you have breath in your lungs, you have a reason to worship Him. There's something good in your life. If you still don't see it, it's because it's not good. And if it's not because you're not seeing it, if you're looking that way for a long time, you've lost the beauty of the K. You've lost it. You're alive. Enjoy it. Enjoy it. Enjoy it. Enjoy it.

If you can't see it, don't blame God. This is going to hit you. The miracle is on the way. The miracle is on the way. John chapter 2. I've been studying the Bible my whole life, and it's crazy. I don't have a statistic, but I could tell you that 90% of Jesus' miracles, the ones that He did, never happened in the place He was going. 90% of them happen when He's on the road to some place. The blind Bartomeu, when he's walking to Jerusalem, He calls him, Son of David, heal me, and He heals him. The woman with the blood problem, while she was going to the house of the Pharisee, He reaches for her and touches her dresses. While He was going to Galilee, and the storm comes to the boat, He calms the storm. Many of His miracles happen on the road. Many of them. Chapter 2, verse 1 to 4. On the third day, a wedding was held in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. They had also been invited to the wedding of Jesus and his disciples. When the wine was finished, the mother of Jesus said to him, You don't have any more wine. The woman said to her mother, Woman? That's how you know Mary wasn't Latina. If you talk to your Hispanic mother that way, They would have had to resurrect Jesus right there. What do you call me, woman?

Woman! That has to do with me. My time has not yet come. And I need to explain to Jesus here. Because He is not being rude, but He is prophesying. He is asking for wine. Three years from that moment, on Friday, He was going to have a dinner with his disciples. And they would do what we did today. They would eat bread and drink wine. And He would say, The bread is my body and the wine is my blood. So when Mary asks for wine, He says, That's not for after three years. years. But on that day, on the third day, the Bible is beautiful. There would be enough wine for you, for the Jews, for the Gentiles, for everyone who called his name. Verse 5 says, His mother said to the servants, Do as I have commanded you. Verse 6 again, There were six stones of stone that the Jews used in their purification ceremonies, in each one there were 100 liters. They filled the waters of the jars, and they were about 30 gallons. They filled the jars with water, and they took a little of this water and took it to the master of the ceremony. And they realized that the water had been turned into wine. The servants knew where the water came from, but the master of the ceremony did not. There are six large and heavy jars, and they fill them with 30 gallons of water. That does not move. And Jesus says, Take the water to the master of the ceremony. We know that the master of the ceremony did not walk to the jars. He says, Take it. These jars do not move. The Bible says that the master of the ceremony tasted wine, but the servants knew what they had taken. What did they take? Water. They knew that they had taken water. And if the Bible tells us that the master of the ceremony does not come here,

and the jars did not go there because of the weight, then they took water. And this guy drinks wine. They took water. He drinks wine. Now we know what happened. What we don't know, and my question is, when did it happen? Let me preach it. Let me preach it. We know that the water became wine. But when did it happen? I don't know. But it must have happened at some point along the way. That is what God told me to tell you. Raise your hand if you are carrying something heavy in this place. And I'm not going to be the only one who gets up because I'm carrying something heavy. But if you carry something heavy today, don't let it go. Keep carrying it. Because as you carry it and walk it, God will return it and change it along the way. He will change that water into wine. Your struggle in a story will change that break in freedom. And one day here in Butchurch, you will give your testimony and people will ask you, How did he deliver you? How did he save you? How did he change you? And your answer will be, I don't know. All I know is that the church only came, kept singing, kept praying, kept reading the Bible, kept listening to messages, kept believing. And at some point along the way, I look down and what was water now became wine. What was a break became freedom. What was solitude became community. What was a break now is freedom. What was a disease became health. I don't know how it happened. I just kept coming. Stand up while I close. I just kept coming. You have to do it. What the servants did when they gave you the instructions, while you do what He tells you, what He tells you. That is the word. You are not waiting for a miracle. You are walking towards Him. Keep coming, keep praying, keep reading. And for the time that the Master drinks the wine, you were surprised. That means what? Because God is going to change you and you won't even realize it until the end. But He was changing you along the way. And this is my last passage of Scripture and I will pray. This is the last one. Stand up while we close. John 12, 12 to 13 says, The next day many who had gone to the party found out that Jesus was going to Jerusalem. They took branches of palm trees and went out to receive Him while they were shouting,

Hosanna, blessed is the name of the Lord, blessed is the King of Israel. Jesus knew that in the festival of Easter, Jerusalem was going to be full. So He went there because He knew where the people were going to be. Jesus knows where you are and He knows what you are going through and He is on the way. way and those people did not expect to recognize him when he resurrected many of the disciples did not recognize Jesus until the end but they saw that place arriving in an asthma and they said Hosanna to the king of Israel and they were screaming that in the presence of the Romans and they are still slaves and Romans still have chains in their lives but in the midst of their slavery they could still recognize the presence of Jesus even when his circumstances did not indicate that the Messiah had arrived. Do you understand? That's what I'm telling you today, just because you're not there does not mean that Jesus is not here. Do you hear that?
