In today’s sobering reading, we reach the darkest chapters in the Book of Judges—where leadership has failed, morality has collapsed, and Israel spirals into civil war. What begins with the abuse of a concubine ends in bloodshed, tribal extinction, and kidnapped brides—all because “everyone did what was right in their own eyes.” These chapters aren’t meant to inspire; they’re meant to grieve. Because when God is no longer King, no one is safe.
