David Hughes - Como Escuchar a Dios Hablar.

How are you? It looks good to be with you here. I have been in this church for a long time and I am very excited about these special weeks. I adore you. I love to serve in this church. If you are new, I would like to give you a moment. Thank you for being part of the most exciting church in South Florida. This is a fun weekend. A fun topic. If you are a person of faith, this is a very important topic for today. I would like you to take note. I think we have a God who is very powerful and who is going to be involved in your life in powerful and powerful ways. He is going to be involved in personal ways in your life. How do we listen to God? I think God wants to be involved in your life in personal and powerful ways. But how can I listen to God? Speak? Take out your notes. Take out your phones. If God wants to speak to you in a real and powerful way, there are three ways He does it. There are three ways. We are going to look at the L's. From the least authoritative to the most authoritative. From the most objective to the most concrete. When I say two, you say three. We are going to say a small voice. A small voice. I think the Holy Spirit of God, Christian, will speak to you in your own eyes in a unique, powerful way. And He is going to speak to you. I will be honest. God has never spoken to me in an audible voice. I hear it audibly. But He is going to do something to you. He is going to convince you. That is number one. That small, quiet, quiet voice. And the Holy Spirit will come and give you His guidance. Tell me number two. Wise advice. Look around you. There are very smart people around you. That is why God gave us the church. When you are making a big decision, invite the people of God to that decision. You need their advice. Let's look at what Acts 17 says. Acts 17. Proverbs 11 verse 14 says, But in abundance of advice is victory. Who wants victory? Clap. Who wants a win? Who wants to win? Who wants a double win? You are going to make a big decision. You are going to move geographically. You are going to propose something very special to someone. You want to make that decision. The Holy Spirit will come to your life and invite other people to give you wise advice. I try to find people who are smarter than me. People who believe in God and people who believe in me. People who can give me guidance. People who can help me find what I am thinking of doing. Number one. The big number one. The number one way in which God speaks to you is through the word of God. He will share His main ways and His wisdom through His word. Okay. Let me show you one of the great promises in Psalm 119 verse 105. It says, You are like a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. You are like a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. You are like a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. God and his word, Jesus and his word. There are some questions, of course, that you can't ask God. Okay, for example, God, God, I'm thinking about cheating on my taxes. What do you think? I have more money, I'm going to have more money, I'm going to give more, can I give more money to the church if I cheat on my taxes? Do you need to do that prayer? Do you need to do that prayer? No, that's already covered in the word of God.

There are so many topics that are already covered. Hey, like who says, oh, well, I love my girlfriend. And I know what the Bible says about sex and marriage, but, ah, okay. Ah, there are some very quiet now. And what happens, quickly. We embrace Halloween. Many churches don't do it, okay? But, well, let me tell you the following. For example, in the book of Acts, the apostle Paul, and they taught us this. He goes to the church, he goes to the city of Greece, and Paul is sharing the gospel through Europe. And in this verse of Acts 17, he says that while Paul was waiting in Athens, he was with many inconveniences to see so many statues. The Greeks in Athens praised these mythological gods, Poseidon and Zeus, there were dozens or hundreds of those. And Paul knows that that's wrong. The idols are a sin. There is only one true God. And he comes to share the true good news of the gospels, but he has to use these visual points to connect with this pagan culture. And look at what it says here in Acts 17, verse 22, 23. But Paul stopped in the area of Aeropagus and said, look, Athenian men, I see that in every possible way, you are very religious. Hey, look at what he's doing.

He's praising them, he's complimenting them, instead of saying, hey, you idiots, I can't believe you're idolizing pagan idols. No, he says, hey, I see that they're very spiritual. I see that they're hungry for God. They recognize that life is not just finances and relationships. There's a financial part, well done. And then he goes on and says, because I've walked around and I've seen the objects that you praise, and I even got an altar with this inscription to an unknown God. Okay, altar, altar. An altar is a sin. It's an idol. It's a bad thing. Idolatry is wrong. In two and a half of the Ten Commandments, idolatry, and they had a statue of Athena and one of Zeus, but they had one that literally said, for the unknown God. Like who says, in case we're missing someone that we don't know, here it is. Paul takes that pagan idol and uses it as his visual aid to help him build a bridge between him and these pagan people. Hey, our idols are bad. No, no. He takes something that they recognize and he uses it to bring them to Jesus. Brilliant.

So you know what? We're going to use Santa Claus, Halloween, whatever, candy, costumes, to build that bridge between culture and Christ. That is the biblical reason why we do these things on Halloween. You don't have to, but I want to. Hey, the stakes are heaven or earth, life or death, your salvation or not. How God speaks, Rodney, from the least authoritative to the most authoritative, God's words, most important, wise tales over here. And God is going to speak to you in personal ways with this little voice, as we said, and how the church falls into these three ways, the word of God, wise counsel, and a little voice. tracción no tienen contexto son críticos y su agenda es que que le den clics que le den me gusta y he visto gente dejar de ir a sus iglesias por un post que alguien les mandó no sabes quién es esa persona que lo mandó no sabes ni siquiera que estaba sucediendo con esa persona cuando covi comenzó todo el mundo tenía opiniones a todos se convirtieron en doctores durante el COVID opiniones fuertes de cada parte del problema y después viene una abuela y te manda un post y este dice oye pero probablemente no es un doctor pero compartieron eso y tú te quedaste trancado en eso eso no es la palabra de dios hablándote a tí por favor me estás bromeando saben que eso hace que crezca el odio estos medios sociales en la mayoría de los casos así que bueno tienes tu filtro a quien escuchas y a quien no mira lo que puso yo nunca pensé en esto y lo estás leyendo puede dios teóricamente mandarte algún tipo de mensaje no creo 60 segundos de un podcast de un idiota que ni siquiera conoce si es a quien le vas a hacer caso sobre la palabra de dios o el consejo sabio de gente que está envuelta en la iglesia contigo todos mis hijos aman a jesús con todo su corazón lo hemos visto prosperar y ser bendecidos puedo escuchar a ciertas cosas en internet pero oye ten cuidado que puede que no sea dios hablándote así que como reconcilio las tres ninguna son tres son iguales o autoridad en autoridad a ver vivimos en el sur de la florida tenemos playas hermosas y si te gusta ir a la playa haz algo de bulla a mí me encanta me encanta la playa y si estás mirando en línea en la mitad de la gente que aplaudió es mentira no van están cerca cuando primero se mudaron de nueva jersey a florida así los primeros dos años pero ahora no van a ningún lado yo voy a la playa cuando hay bautismo así que paramos de ir no todo el mundo hay gente que sí que nos gusta y algunos porque no vamos en la arena en las algas parquearse difícil a veces hay muy pocas olas o muchas olas mencioné la arena sí sí no bueno a veces en la playa puede ser peligrosa inclusive hay corrientes de resaca y hay un sistema de banderas que se ponen en la playa de acuerdo a que el ambiente si necesita

cuidado o no conocen estas saben con qué cuál es la la bandera cuando todo está bien ok verde todas estas tres la palabra de dios consejo sabio y una pequeña voz estas son formas en que dios quiere hablarte en formas poderosas y personal so por y celebro todas estas ahora que significa esta bandera en la playa cuando hay algo que necesitas algo de cuidado no hay un gran peligro pero hay que tener cuidado es que amarilla número tres o que la pequeña voz de dios El Espíritu Santo, esa es la verde y que a veces puede ser amarilla, porque yo creo en esta idea pero a veces se necesita un poquito de cuidado porque es subjetiva no tengo un verso de biblia, soy yo percibiendo como esta voz del Espíritu Santo me está hablando, pero yo tengo fallas, así que yo, no es que yo no crea en Dios hablándome, es que a veces no creo en mí Ok Maridos a veces saben como no escuchan bien lo que dice su esposa mujeres algunas veces su marido no escucha, ok, y tú lo dijiste tan claro y él no entendió o no escuchó Tus hijos no escuchan o se les escapa lo que dijiste bueno nosotros somos hijos de Dios y a veces también se nos falla so tienes que ejercitar algo de cautela ok, porque cuando dices a Dios me dijo, no digo que esté errado pero por lo menos estoy en años atrás en un bote con alguien que trabaja aquí en la iglesia muchos son jóvenes como 20 o 30 años han estado en la iglesia por 5 o 10 años han estado en los sermones conmigo y no voy a mencionar quién es pero es uno de los líderes ahora y está conmigo y en la parte de atrás está mi pescador de tarpon y él no es cristiano y esta persona está hablando de un servicio donde el podcast donde Le hablaba el Dios y Dios le hablaba a este hombre todo el tiempo según él a esta aventura para ir a una iglesia y Dios le hablaba y en el avión le dijo no te sientes en el asiento de

consejero sabios La mayoría de la gente si te pones a darte cuenta te va a dar consejos malos Asegúrate de preguntarle a la persona correcta a las preguntas correctas si quieres recibir consejos sabios y bueno la palabra de Dios la número uno siempre es ahora esto es una vez en la que la número tres es una bandera roja cuando alguien dice yo sé lo que dice la biblia pero cuando alguien te dice sus planes y dice yo sé lo que la biblia dice Yo sé lo que la biblia dice sobre sexo reservado para el matrimonio pero nos amamos ella es muy buena And I think God wants you to be happy. God wants to speak to you, you need to hear the voice of God and recognize it. You have to be present, you have to be present in the church, devour the Word of God,

go to groups of life, get involved in a life of prayer. I'm going to give you this example, I have three children, you know Pastor Charlie, I have a great daughter who is in Nashville, and she's a beautiful girl, she lives far away, but she calls every day, at least her mom, every day. Lisa almost always answers on the phone, on the speakerphone, and I always know it's her. I don't have to hear her say it's Victoria, two or three words, and I know who it is, I recognize her voice, I love her, it's my daughter. When you fall in love with Jesus, you start to recognize her voice in the church, in the halls of the church, everywhere you can, you know and recognize her voice. You come in here, it may not be the sermon, it may be a moment of prayer, it may be the praise, but there is something you feel in your heart. When you love God, you recognize his voice. So Victoria calls and says three words, and I know it's her. God can say three words, do it now, two words, I choose you, I forgive you, I love you, three words, and you'll recognize her, and you'll recognize her voice. God wants to speak to you, you need to listen, it's incredible, the purpose and the plan that he has for you is supernatural, it's divine, it's miraculous, if you don't want that, stop listening to all these voices that serve us, lower and smaller, listen to the voice of God that is hungry to speak to you.
