Creed Week 3
Transformation is a process.
Pastor Scott continues walking through the Creed, diving into who Holy Spirit is and how He works in our lives. In short, Holy Spirit is the third person in the Triune Godhead (Father, Son , and Holy Spirit) and works in believers' lives to renew and transform them.

But like I said, you're in for a treat with this message. So go ahead, sit back, relax. And I hope today's message encourages you just like it encourages me. Creed. We have been in this series for the month of August, talking about specifically the Apostles' Creed. A church diverse like ours. We've got every background in the world. Where are the former Methodists? Raise your hand. You're a Methodist. Okay, very good. Love that, hands down. Where's the Lutherans? Where's the Lutherans? Like, okay, okay. Episcopalians. Where's the Episcopalians? Anything? Okay. Where's the Baptist? Episcopalians, like, I ain't going to that church.
Where's the Baptist? Any Baptist? What about the Catholic? Any Catholic in the place? Any Pentecostals? Any Pentecostals? They're the loud ones. They're the loud ones. There you go. And I love it. That's my crew. How many of y'all were just drop dead heathen? You weren't nothing, but you're just glad you found Jesus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, whatever your situation might be, I'm glad you're here. But many, many of the people that I just called out, many backgrounds denominations have this a part of their liturgy. They quote this together, or they quote it right before communion, the Eucharist, or they quote it right before they're baptized. And so this statement is a declaration, the highlights of what it means to be a Christ follower. And it's really important because when you look at Christianity, Christianity is different than every other religion in the world. Every other religion will tell you just a real dogma about how they live. And Christianity doesn't really have that dogma. It is truly relationally driven. And the beliefs, the core values, the tenets of that
faith, it's important that you understand that because there are thousands upon thousands, tens of thousands of versions of Christianity, we have to make sure we know which one it is that we believe in. And the one we stand for is the one straight out of the Bible. And that's what the Creed, the Apostles Creed, that's why it was put together to make sure that we knew what it is that we believe in, what we do not believe. So we're going to read this together. We've been doing this at the opening of every, of every service. So let's check this out. Everyone read it with your outside voice. Here we go. One, two, three. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day, he rose again. He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen, amen, amen. We have been moving through this and teaching through this this month so you would understand the impact, the purpose, the value, the messaging behind the liturgy.
It unfolds for all of us and it hits very personally. This is not just something that we just quote that's sterile or anemic. No, this is pregnant. This is power when you and I truly believe and build our life on this. We started week one talking about I believe in God. Who is God? Week two, last week, we talked about Jesus Christ, who he is, moving through these pieces today. I want to talk to you on this one next line. I believe in the Holy Spirit. Who is Holy Spirit? It's a great question. He's not the spooky one of the triune Godhead. He's not this weird uncle that we keep locked up somewhere that every now and then he pops out like, I'm here. That's not who he is. Holy Spirit. It's critical that we understand who he is. That's right, he, not it. Who he is. He is a person. He has a personality. He functions and flows in our life. In fact, he is the third person of the triune Godhead. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. He's the third person. And you have to understand, he didn't come along in the New Testament.
He's not a new idea. You can go to Genesis chapter one, verse two, and he's there. God created the heaven and the earth, and the Bible says that the earth was without form and void, darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Holy Spirit came in, hovering over it. Holy Spirit has been here since the beginning. Turn to someone and tell them, since the start. Since the start, he's been here, that's right. And then we see his coming back in 10 days after Jesus' ascension. Jesus goes back to heaven after he'd been crucified, died, buried, resurrected, he goes back to heaven. And when he goes back to heaven in Acts chapter two, we see Holy Spirit come on the scene in a very real and personal way with people. In fact, Jesus said, if I don't leave, Holy Spirit can't come. In other words, Jesus was in the way. We needed him to leave. And he did, so now Holy Spirit comes in and begins to live in all of us. Here's what I want you to understand. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit is fully alive inside of you. And here's the good news. He doesn't come in slices, he doesn't come in degrees, he doesn't come in levels, no, it's all of him. He either all in or all out, there's no pieces.
What happens is all of him enters in, and then you and I work for the rest of our lives, allowing more of him to lead our lives. Some of us look at our lives and go, well, I don't look like I'm filled with the spirit, like I struggle with this and I struggle with that. I get that, we all have our struggles. That's not the issue. The issue is he can dwell there, but our goal is to surrender more of our life to him so that he is the one that is leading. But I want you to understand how the triune Godhead works in your life. The distinction of each role, the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. I want you to understand how this works. Titus chapter three, verse five, check this out. Here's what it says. He saved us because of his mercy and not because of any good things we have done. God washed us by the power of the Holy Spirit. He gave us new birth and a fresh beginning. In other words, you're good, but you're not that good. Like we are all a mess at the end of the day. We dress up a whole lot nicer than we actually think, live, motives, action. Just keep looking this way and smiling like I'm not talking to you. It's okay, it's okay. We know your game because our game is just like your game.
We've all got it. We're all a mess. And the Bible says that we weren't saved because of anything good we did. And the fact that you have been cleaned is the work of Holy Spirit. In fact, let me put it this way for you. You are forgiven by God, the Father. That's called grace. Don't deserve it, but he's been good to you. Am I glad he loved you when you were not lovable? Come on, yeah, yeah, yeah. Some of y'all family walked out on you and God stepped in. He was right there, right? We are forgiven by God, the Father. We are redeemed by Jesus. What does that mean? We have been bought back. In other words, the entire debt, you kept swiping that American excuse card for every situation in your life. And you were racking up that bill and racking up that bill. And the interest payment was growing and growing and growing. And Jesus, because of what he did on the cross, stepped in and paid your bill in full. You have been bought back. You are free and clear.
There was nothing in your past that can be held against you in your future. Is anybody glad about that? That's good news right there. So forgiven by God, that's grace. Redeemed by Jesus, I'm set free because of what he did on the cross for me. But I'm renewed and cleansed and transformed by Holy Spirit. And that's that next level where I don't think the way I used to think. I don't act the way I used to act. In other words, watch this. Salvation is an event. And being redeemed by Jesus is. an event. Redemption is an event. But transformation, or the way we called it in the church when I was growing up, sanctification, is a process. How do you know you still got some growing to do? Okay, if the person beside you has not raised their hand at least once during service right now, you might want to get up and move down one seat because they might — no, no, no, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Come on, we're all tripping in some area. We come in here and everybody — here's what's sad and funny at the same time. Everyone looks at you and thinks that you're living for Jesus better than they are. Man, I wish I had their life. Oh baby, you better be really careful what you ask for. Because the person beside you might make it look easy right now, but I promise you it's tougher than what they make it look like. They've gone through some stuff, they've survived some stuff, they battling some stuff right now, but they're still here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're all going through some stuff. There's some stuff being worked out in us. Is anybody else besides me, anybody get on your own nerves because of stuff you still trip with and stuff like, I should be over this by now? Mm-hmm. Ladies and gentlemen, just because you got saved doesn't mean you're perfect. No, no, no, good days, rough days, rough days, rough days, rough days, good days,
rough days, rough days, rough days, rough days, right? But I'm still forgiven. Ups and downs, but I'm still redeemed. It's who we are. Wins and losses, but I'm still being changed every day more and more into the likeness of Jesus. Here's what's frustrating. I don't really see my growth this week, but the fact that I'm still serving him another week means that my life, a little bit at a time, is growing. It's like the kid who they wake up on a Monday morning and they say, mommy, have I grown since Saturday? Well, how do you answer that? Yes. Prove it. I can't. Because you got the little line on the wall, but nothing moved, but you know they've grown. Right now, Malachi, he was sleeping with me last night. My legs are hurting. I said, they're growing, son. They're getting bigger. They're stretching out. I'm trying to fix it. There's something changing inside of you. You can't see it, but something is changing. That's what happens with Holy Spirit in our lives. He's continually working on the inside of us. And as long as you stay in the process and allow him to continue to transform, you'll trade your thoughts for his thoughts. And some things that used to hold you hostage won't have the power over you the way that it used to because you're being changed more and more into the likeness of Jesus. In other words, the work of Holy Spirit is simply this, so fresh, so clean. That's kind of what he does right there, right? I'm really cheesy. I know, but you get it. You get it. Holy Spirit is the one working in your life. Watch this. Not Jesus. Jesus is not working in your life. God the Father is not working in your life. Holy Spirit is. He's the worker. He's the one that lives inside of you. He's the one that has to put up with — he's the one that is working you through some stuff in life. He laughs with you. He cries with you. He's a person. He is for you. He's pulling for you. He's working in you. If you say you're a believer, Holy Spirit is alive in you right now and working in your life. And I want you to see today a couple of the things that he's actually working on. What are his roles in our life? Well, one way that the Bible describes him is a friend. You got a friend in me. I mean, he's not Woody, but you know what I'm saying. He's like — he's a friend. John chapter 14, verse 16. Check this, check this. I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be — you've never been alone a day in your life. You've never had to just white-knuckle it by yourself. Holy Spirit has always been by your side. What's challenging is when we go through it, but we fail to recognize his presence. And I'm trying to handle it on my own. And I forgot there's somebody there to help me who cares, who is real, who is more involved in my life than anybody else could be. His motives
are for me, never against me. He's a friend. He's a constant help to encourage, to convict. Anybody — like after you said yes to Jesus, you started feeling bad about stuff that you used to be really good at? Like you used to do it and people were like, dang, and you go, watch me do it again. You actually enjoy that but now since you said yes to Jesus like you ain't running the places You used to run because why you kind of feel bad about that Have you ever felt bad about something you used to like enjoy like you used to brag about that's Holy Spirit He's working on you He's changing desires on the inside of you now if you liked cheeseburgers before you said yes to Jesus You're still gonna like cheeseburgers after Jesus you understand that that's how that run But but but there's some other stuff that he's changing in our life. He strengthens us He blesses us you need a friend like that Isaiah 11 verse 2 says this the Spirit of the Lord will be with him Speaking of Jesus in the future the Spirit of the Lord Holy Spirit will be with him to give him Understanding wisdom and insight he will be powerful, and he will know and honor the Lord This was speaking prophetically as to who Holy Spirit was going to be inside of the Messiah Jesus this is why Jesus said in John chapter 5. He said I do nothing by myself Here's what I'm going to tell you if Jesus needed Holy Spirit Would you turn to someone tell him I think he might be talking to you right now. I think if Jesus needed Holy Spirit Then maybe I don't know maybe You and I do too of course we do of course we do Number two he's not just a friend. He's also your fuel And and and this fuel this fuel is a is is Internalist it's what happening inside of you that That that's that's what this is Ephesians chapter 3 verse 16 says this I Pray that from his glorious unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through the Holy Spirit Hold on a second Ephesians 3 that verse doesn't fully explain, but you need to let me read it read the rest of it for you Let's see that was verse 16. Let me read a couple of verses here, so so he were empowered
We're empowered with inner strength through the Holy Spirit but understand what it is that we're being strengthened to do so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith that you being rooted and Grounded in love may have strength to comprehend with all the Saints What is the breadth and length and height and depth and to know the love of Christ that? Surpasses knowledge that you may be filled with all the fullness of God in other words Holy Spirit is the only way that you'll ever understand the love of Jesus in your life It requires him to open your mind and heart so that you see it and you experience it and ladies and gentlemen when that? Love hits you deep like that that changes everything you can look at somebody in your life and say I love you But I love him more, and I'm gonna choose what he chooses I enjoyed that and that was fun But I love him more and I walk away from stuff that I used to enjoy but now I choose him That's what the love of Jesus will do for you. You can't just like Jesus You can't just follow him on Facebook you got to know him love him be personal with him if your life is going to be Changed and that's what Holy Spirit does he's the source of your strength. He comes to bring excitement to your faith We didn't say yes to Jesus And then just pop out excited singing songs and waving our hands like like we were graced for this No, the reason we can praise him like this. Where does that joy that passion come from that is what Holy Spirit does in us? As we continue to pursue Christ none of us have it like that But we're growing in our faith And then he fuels that love and that love makes us want to make the tough decisions Walk away from some things walk into some things sign up for life groups do activate There's all kinds of things that he begins to lead us to do when that hits Ephesians chapter 5 verse 18 says this don't destroy yourself by getting drunk But let the Spirit fill your life. Did they just compare Holy Spirit to alcohol? Blame it on the alcohol did they just do that some of y'all were thinking it. I just said it Did they just do that? Yeah, they sure did They sure did Paul literally said look you want to know what the power of Holy Spirit is You know how you get crazy and lose your mind whenever the alcohol is speaking for you. Yeah, that's exactly who Holy Spirit is But both alcohol and Holy Spirit will control your life
But understand this both will alter your life one for righteousness and one for ruin But the power that we give Holy Spirit to run our life changes everything about us This is who he is. So he's our friend. He's our fuel but the third thing that he is he's our fire that that's that's something that comes out of us look the fuel was inside the fire is outside this is that next level Acts chapter 1 verse 8 here we go everybody who raised their hand that said they're Pentecostal this is tattered on their back I promise you listen here's what I said but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea Samaria to the ends of the earth notice something notice something this was never pointed out in my roots growing up the power of Holy Spirit was to enable me to witness not shout witness not be loud in church and I love getting loud in church I'm not mad at it but that's not why Holy Spirit came he came to empower me to be a witness so that I will rep Jesus and the kingdom of God wherever I go power to stand in a crazy culture y'all know live you live in a crazy world as anybody recognize that yet some y'all live in a crazy family like a world what about my family no I understand like your address is crazy right I get all that but but Holy Spirit comes to give us boldness look Peter younger Peter he was one of Jesus's disciples and Jesus said before the rooster crows three times you're going to deny me and Peter lovingly said Jesus kissed my grits that is not going to happen and Jesus rebuked him only for Peter to deny Jesus three times why because a little girl that was standing close to the fire said hey I know who you are you're one of his followers and fear gripped Peter's heart and he backed up watch off of one little girl's accusation Jesus dies buried resurrected day of Pentecost Peter is there when Holy Spirit comes on them a boldness hits Peter and the Bible says that he then stepped out in Jerusalem and preached and 3,000 people said yes to follow me Jesus publicly that day you want to talk about a turnaround running from a little girl's accusation around a fire to stepping out publicly and declaring who Jesus is that's the power of Holy Spirit I am not ashamed of the
gospel of Jesus Christ it is the power of God unto salvation that's why we're here you don't have to be ashamed or afraid on your workplace you don't have to be ashamed or afraid in the university you don't have to be that way with your family boldly hold your ground not obnoxiously but boldly I know in whom I believe I know who I serve I know who loves me I know who's forgiven me and doing a work in me and Holy Spirit is the one who will help you stand flat-footed in the midst of difficult times to keep repping Jesus that's what he comes to do he wants to make your life contagious you know when there's some people that just want to be around you because there's just something about you can I help you with something it's not you don't get all up in your head like you've got it like that all right like we love you but it ain't all you no no no can I tell you what's attractive about you that spirit that's alive inside of you there's a hope there's a joy there's a peace there's a oh let's go dog let's go if he did for me he can do it for you there's this life-giving force that emits from who you are so that wherever you are you are carrying him with you I went I went on Wednesday to the walk-in clinic I had to do something with this and I walked in I'm standing there I'm getting registered and I'm giving the lady the name and and the lady back behind her she saw my t-shirt much my teacher said Jerusalem on it she said Jerusalem she said I was just talking to my friend here about how do you spell Jerusalem I said well there it is right there I said get it down and don't ever forget it it's a good way like I was having fun with her and and then and then the girl who was checking me in she said okay and and and so you're what's going on and I told her and I said and I got to get this stuff gone before Sunday cuz I gotta preach she goes you know what I bet you could probably preach couldn't you because I just I see all that kind of thing what I wanted to tell her is you don't see nothing on me right now because I'm all congested and I ain't feeling good but what you see and what you feel is a life-giving force of Holy Spirit that is always even when you feel bad he's always feeling good and he's always putting Jesus on blast you should be the hope of your office you
should be the joy in the room when you walk in party that's exactly how it should hit number four I've got 19 so hold on I'm kidding I'm kidding I'm kidding on it Holy Spirit comes to give you your fight. Oh, he comes to fight for you, in you. Zechariah chapter four says this, you won't succeed by might or power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of armies. In other words, Holy Spirit is gonna put some boom sauce on your shakalaka salvation burger and bring something out in you that lets you stand. Push back. You're not sitting there taking shots day in and day out. No, you're getting stronger. The Bible says that Samson, the spirit of God was on him. He failed God and blew it, but the Bible says that his spirit came once again and God used him mightily. The Bible says that David, the little shepherd boy who killed a lion, a tiger, and a bear, oh my, while all that was going on, when he stepped up to see Goliath, he took him out because the spirit of the Lord was upon him. The spirit of the Lord will give you a fight, a fight for your husband, a fight for your babies, a fight for your wife, a fight for your business, a fight for a friend. When Holy Spirit is there, he will not let you stand still and you're anointed to win, not just fight, but to win in this thing.
That's why the Bible says, speaking of Holy Spirit in first John four, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. He that is in you is Holy Spirit working in you. That's where the greatness comes from. You're not losing, you're winning. Holy Spirit wants you to succeed in life. He wants you to move forward, but with his lead. Number five, Holy Spirit brings fruit in your life. You should be a fruity Christian in the most wonderful way. Galatians chapter five, check this, check this. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives, read it with me. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness. That sounds like you. Some of you go, well, I know, I know, I know, I know, but this is what he's working out in us. Okay, you should be a little more loving than you used to be. Have a little more joy than you used to have. I ain't saying you got it all, you're not a donor, you're not a joy donor, but at least you got more than what you had. Like we're all moving our life one step at a time, y'all. Ain't none of us got this together, like we got it all down, let's get onto some other stuff. No, but please hear me. The evidence that he's leading your life
is this list right here, that's the highlight list. I got a gentle spirit, I used to love to fight, now, something crazy going on, what in the world? I used to hate everybody, now I just got, I love you, man. What is going on with that? That doesn't make you weak, it's evidence of Holy Spirit working in you. Yeah, Holy Spirit doesn't make you soft. No, you're saved, but you're not soft, there's a difference. I'm saved, but I ain't, yeah, that's who he is. We enjoy the results of Holy Spirit in our life. How do you know your spouse would like you a whole lot better if more of him was working in your life in this area right here? Love, joy, peace, yes, okay, let me just flip that because how many wives know that your husband would like you a whole lot better, would enjoy if you had more of this fruit operating in your life? Not a brother going to raise her hand or say amen or nothing like that, just smart guys. This list makes you different because this list also comes out of you at Walmart. I went to Walmart last night, it's wild, it's wild just to go to Walmart on a Saturday night, that's all I got to say. I might have taken a picture or two, like what in the, anyway, I'm just saying. But everywhere you go, fruit of the Spirit
should be in operation. So there's always witnessing as to who Jesus is. I'm done with this one. Holy Spirit then brings our future. You don't have a future without Holy Spirit. Make all the plans you want to. It don't work without Holy Spirit. No, it doesn't. Holy Spirit is the key. He is the key to a wonderful life. Listen, Romans 14, for the kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy. Where? Where? Goodness, peace, and joy is the key to a wonderful life. And the Holy Spirit comes in him. When I'm living in him, I've got goodness operating in my life. And I got goodness coming to me. When I have Holy Spirit leading my life, there is joy coming out of me and there's joy coming back at me. I will reap what I sow. Now this is Bible right here. This is Bible. We have a joy, a peace, a good. This is what happens. And he gives us our future. Notice, it doesn't say that your future comes from people.
It comes from power, possessions, progress. And there's nothing wrong with all those things. You just can't look at them or treat them as your source. Holy Spirit is your source. He's the worker in your life. You gotta know him. You gotta follow him. The goal is to please him. We need Holy Spirit in our life. Would you turn to someone and tell them, we need Holy Spirit. We need Holy Spirit. This is not an exhaustive list. I could go on and go on and go on. We're not, but listen to me. A couple of weeks ago, Cindy and I were at the house. One of those nights, we were just kind of flipping through channels. She was working on some emails and we just have the TV running. And I don't know, the Discovery Channel. And there was this program come up of these marine biologists. And they had this little single man unit that could go all the way to the floor of the ocean. Crazy, amazing little orb that had little arms that came out of it and these bright lights that when they got down there, they're looking for life that's on the floor of the ocean. And they're doing all the exploration.
And of course, because it's TV, you gotta make it dramatic and like, oh no, oh no. I think there's an issue with the oxygen going on because here's what happens as it's descending. It takes so long. I think it took like three hours for them to get to the bottom in this orb as it was going down. It gets down there, they're doing the exploration. And while they're there, all of a sudden they begin to talk about how this orb is made with a little backup generator that will give them about 45 minutes worth of air in the event that everything shut down with the goal of trying to get them back up as quick as they could. But if the power went down, they would immediately start getting cold. Carbon dioxide began to build up inside of the orb. And so they're given all these little things and then don't you know, lo and behold, it goes out. It goes out. And we're like, oh boy. And Cindy's like, oh my gosh, Scott. I said, Cindy, they're showing this on TV. He's gonna be just fine. I got a feeling he makes it out. It is so much like you and I. On the earthly side, we have the ability to live based on oxygen.
We can't breathe water. Those two are not compatible. In other words, for us to go into that world, we have to borrow from this world. We have to pipe air in so that I can even be in that world and survive. Because if what I'm borrowing and piping in from my real world, if it ever stops, then I die because I'm in a world that I wasn't made for. I want you to understand, as you are living this life serving Jesus, you are living and operating in a world that you don't belong in. The Bible says this world is not our home. There's a day coming that we're out of here. Eternity is on the way. But while I'm here, I've got to have a life source outside of this world that is filling me and giving me life so I can move and I can function and I can explore and I can enjoy everything about this world. But without the life source from my real world, it doesn't work. It doesn't work. Would you please stand on your feet in the room? I want you to understand today, ladies and gentlemen, Holy Spirit is not just like a bonus. Holy Spirit is not a gift card because you said yes to Jesus.
Holy Spirit is the life-giving source inside of you that moves you towards Jesus, that makes you worship the Father. And today, you and I need more of Him in our life. So here's the issue. If you've said yes to Jesus, you and I need to work more on surrendering to Him. Lead my life. It's called, watch this, the Spirit-led life. I can have a Scott-led life or a Spirit-led life. Scott-led, crash and burn. Spirit-led, joy unspeakable and full of glory. It gets gooder and gooder all the time. And it doesn't mean that you grow angel. wings and you got a permanent halo on your head. It ain't working like that, but I'm just, I'm just talking to him. I recognize him. So now my prayer life, when I get my day going, here's how I talk. What's up, Holy Spirit? How are you doing today? Good afternoon. I'm going to need you today to help me. I got some meetings. I need some wisdom on these meetings. Holy Spirit speak to me without your voice involved in these. I will mess these up. I need your direction. I need your peace. I need you to, and I literally talked to him, inviting him to release these giftings inside of me to help me do better so I can honor him. I want to challenge you today. Here's my challenge. Start talking to Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I want you to lead my life. Holy Spirit, I need your fuel. I need your fire. I need your boldness. I need that strength. I need your wisdom. I need your power. I need you to be my friend, whatever you need from him. He is the deliverer of all gifts from heaven. So why would we not talk to him today? Holy Spirit, we decree that we need you and we invite you to come into our lives in even a greater way. We know we have the fullness of you, but we want you to lead our lives. We want you to, to, to lead our minds and lead our relationships and our finances, business, how to handle private time and public time, how to help us get through and over the issues of the past that have wounded us deeply. Without you moving, there is no healing, but as long as you're speaking and as long as you're leading,
I can come out of anything from my past and stand strong in my present to move towards my future. I want you today. Holy Spirit, do what only you can do in this room. I want to invite you right there. Take the next 30 seconds and I want you to pray something like this. Holy Spirit, I want you to lead every area of my life. I want you to lead every area of my life. Guide me, strengthen me, convict me, encourage me, direct me, help me. I need you, Holy Spirit. There's no other source for these gifts. There's no other source for this advance. There is no other way. There's no other way, but through you, all things are possible. So today we ask you to come in, lead and guide, take up residence, be the presence in our home, be the presence in our car when we're driving down the road. Be with us. Let your presence take up residence at work with us everywhere we are. Be by us. Let the reality of you come alive. We honor you. We worship you. We recognize you. We believe in you. In Jesus name, amen. I hope today's message encouraged you just like it encouraged me. For more encouraging messages, check out our website at freeliveshopper.org. Until then, I hope you have an amazing day.
