God is not responding to what's bound on earth we bind on earth what God has already established in heaven that's the role of the church we don't let culture change God it is the vision of Word of God ministries to preach Jesus as the manifested Word of God it is our mission to reach more people in more places and in more ways did you know right now that you are tuned into one of our 75 television broadcasts across the nation five international broadcasts it is impossible for us to be good stewards of our program if we don't hear from you I want to encourage you today to take time to let us know that you are being reached that you're being blessed through our television ministry outreach I'm gonna have some information for you at the closing of the program so get your phone ready get something to write down some information I'm also gonna share with you a free gift offer just to hear from you let's get into the word Jesus taught us to pray like this in Matthew chapter 6 beginning in verse 9 he said when you pray pray after this manner our Father who art in heaven that's name and address just like if you were writing somebody a letter name and address our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name holy sacred reverend be thy name righteous is your name worthy is your name I'm entering his gates with Thanksgiving I'm coming into his courts with praise I'm honoring the one I'm speaking to our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name first petition of the prayers say it if you know it thy kingdom come thy kingdom come what am I saying I'm saying Lord take dominion over my life take dominion over my will take dominion over my family take dominion over this church take dominion over my business take dominion over my future thy kingdom come what comes next thy will be done where on earth as it is in heaven when you pray those words that Jesus taught in Matthew chapter 6 you have just revealed to you yourself the kingdom of God the kingdom of God is where the will of heaven is manifested in the earth and where is the will of heaven manifested in the earth it's where we as his ambassadors step into an area step into a domain and we call on the kingdom of God to use us to advance his will hallelujah and his will will

not always and most of time and most cases won't line up with our will it's about surrender it's about submission it's Lord your will be done not mine thou will be done Lord in my life on earth just as it is in heaven the kingdom of God the kingdom of God is a system that comes from a place called the kingdom of heaven the kingdom of heaven is a location the kingdom of God is a system it is one that has come to the earth through Christ one that we're supposed to be advancing the kingdom of God advancing the will of heaven in the earth that means I can't live like I used to live do what I used to do talk like I used to talk I represent a higher kingdom I represent a higher king I am no longer of this world I'm in this world but I am NOT of this world Romans chapter 12 verse 2 says be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you might prove that good perfect and acceptable will of God in other words my life is supposed to be used to advance the will of God as it is in heaven let it be in earth that's our mandate that's our purpose as Christians that's our purpose as the church if you got what I've said so far see me hallelujah so we're on a journey here that I want to start in 1st Samuel chapter number eight the children of Israel went before Samuel the prophet they said everybody's got a king we want one and it grieved Samuel because he knew that that was not God's plan so let's look at it in whichever verse I told you and so 1st Samuel chapter 8 we'll look at it in verse 5 and they said unto him behold Thou art old, and your son's not walking thy ways. Now make us a king to judge us, like all the nations. Everybody's got one. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord. And the Lord said unto Samuel, hearken unto the voice of the people, and all that they say unto thee,

for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. So the Lord said, hey, it's me they're rejecting. Let's go ahead and give them a king. But before you give them a king, warn them of the potential of what a king might do. And so he does that in the following verses. But verse 19 says, nevertheless, the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel. And they said, nay, but we will have a king over us, that we also may be like all the nations. We wanna be like everybody else. You know, when Jesus came, he did something that God establishes here in the 10th chapter. And I wanna show it to you. Turn over two chapters, and let me show you something that kind of parallels, not kind, it does, it parallels the Lord. So the children of Israel, they're determined, give us a king. Now, a kingdom is all about an advancement of a territory. And the Lord has called us to gain territory for his kingdom, to gain influence. And through that influence, gain souls, that more be brought into the kingdom of God. That's what our life is supposed to be about. I was preaching on the kingdom one time and had a lady come up to me aggravated by the case.

And she said, why are you preaching on the kingdom? We're not a kingdom, we're a church. That's literally what she said to me. We're not a kingdom, we're a church. So I just asked her a question. I said, well, what was the first gift Jesus gave the church when he established the church in Matthew 16? She said, well, I don't know. I said, well, the first gift he gave the church was, behold, I give you keys to the kingdom. And that was the first gift that Jesus gave the church was keys to the kingdom. Then he said this. He said, what you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. And what you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Now, some people take that verse and they make it backwards. They think that what I bind on earth, heaven's gotta back me up. And then what I loose on earth, heaven's gotta back me up so that we can hold some kind of council meeting and determine let's change the Lord's prayer. And then heaven say, hey, we got an alert. Second church on third street just had a vote and they've changed the Lord's prayer. So now we gotta change heaven. No, no, no, no. God is not responding to what's bound on earth. We bind on earth what God has already established in heaven. That's the role of the church. We don't let culture change God.

We don't let culture change doctrine. We don't let the world change what the word says. We can't tell heaven that the Supreme Court voted and now marriage has been redefined. So you gotta undo 6,000 years of history. It does not matter what man comes up with. It won't change what God has said. Our purpose as believers and as Christians is to advance the kingdom of God in the earth. We are representatives of his kingdom, a kingdom that is not of this world. It's what I'm saying making sense here. So when Jesus said, what you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, he's saying, don't bind what I didn't bind. Don't loose what I didn't loose. Don't do what I've not called you to do. Mirror your life by my will. Church, preach my doctrine. Teach my word. It doesn't matter which way the world is going. Stand to the truth of God's word and praise be unto God to the church that has done that when it wasn't easy. Praise be unto God for churches historically that preach the truth in the midst of perverted, twisted and oppressive situations. Praise be unto God to anyone that stood up and told the truth even when the culture was going the wrong way.

Praise be unto God for those that spoke the truth about man being made in the image of God in the midst of slavery. Praise be unto God for anybody that says, well, slavery may be a part of the culture, but it's not true to God. It's not in line with the will of God. There has always been a voice that would tell the truth despite what culture was doing. We don't need a word that's based on culture. We need a word that's based on the will of God as it is in heaven. It's what I'm saying making sense. So when he said, I give you the keys to the kingdom, now you bind in earth what I bound in heaven, you loosen earth what I've loosened heaven. In other words, only advance my agenda, only advance my will. That's kingdom. So here's this king that the children of Israel are pursuing and God gives them Saul. Now you can say, well, that was the people's choice. No, it was God's choice, he gave them Saul. But he did something to protect them. So watch 1 Samuel chapter 10 if you're there, say amen. All right, verse 25. Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom and he wrote it in a book. Let's read that out loud. Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom

and wrote it in a book. So now we're about to see this book is gonna be given to the king. And the book was taught to the people. So what was God saying? Here's how my kingdom is to function. You wanted a king like all other nations have a king. I'm gonna give you a king, but I wanna show you how I've called you to operate. What I've called you to advance. I'm gonna show you how to be a kingdom of heaven in the earth. Glory to God. So then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom. Now that might trigger something in your mind because that's exactly what Jesus did in Matthew chapter five, six, and seven. In Matthew chapter four, Jesus came preaching the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The exact same message John the Baptist had preached recorded in Matthew chapter three. We looked at it last week. In Matthew chapter four, Jesus shows up and he's preaching the kingdom of heaven is at hand. That means the kingdom is available. And the next thing we see is what we call the sermon on the mount. It's Matthew chapter five, six, and seven. It's Jesus' longest sermon. And that sermon in Matthew five, six, and seven

was how to behave as citizens of the kingdom. What the manner of the kingdom is, what the behavior of the kingdom is. And church, listen to me, it's foreign to that of this world. Jesus taught of a kingdom that did not look like the kingdom of this world. Jesus said, if you got an enemy, feed him. In so doing, you put coals of fire on his head. Well, that's not what you would learn from the kingdom of this world. As a matter of fact, six times Jesus says this. He says these words. He says, it hath been said, but I say. It hath been said, but I say. It hath been said, but I say. Six times in Matthew chapter five, Jesus makes that statement. What's he saying? This is the way it's been done. This is the way the world does it, but this is the way you're supposed to do it. Be not conformed to this world. He was teaching you and I how to behave in such a way that we represent the kingdom of heaven, not the kingdom of this world. Are y'all still with me? So the first king that Israel would ever have is given a book. We'll look at it again in verse 25,

first Samuel chapter 10. Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom and wrote it in a book and laid it before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. And so the Lord gave his people his word because this was the way his kingdom was to behave. Now, when Saul was anointed to be king, earlier in this same chapter, Samuel anointed him, sent him to the house of God, told him that when he got to the house of God, he'd be served bread and wine, communion, and that he would meet a company of prophets. And whatever the prophets spoke, he was to speak that word with them. And that when he spoke the word of God, the Holy Spirit would come upon him and he would be turned into another man. Look at this in verse number six. He says, and the spirit of the Lord will come upon thee and thou shalt prophesy with them and shalt be turned into another man. What was God saying to King Saul? He was saying, you're gonna need my word and you're gonna need my anointing to lead my people. You're gonna need my word and you're gonna need my anointing to lead my people. So he gives him the word of God. He gives him the spirit of God.

So now he's been called, now he's been equipped, and now he's been sent to be a king representing the kingdom of God by God's word and by God's spirit. Does everybody's got that? Say amen. Amen. I love how in verse 25, God says, hey, write my manners down in a book. Write my manners right the way we behave down in a book Because that's exactly what Jesus did in Matthew 5 6 and 7 is he told us the manners of his kingdom in his Kingdom we forgive in his kingdom. We bless in his kingdom. We don't retaliate in his kingdom We operate differently than we did before we were born again Well, let me say no way we're supposed to But When we do It works Hey, come on somebody But let's see what Saul does chapter 13 Chapter 13 If I could let me get let me get a chair brought up here can I need a chair And we're gonna get a chair brought more illustrate that we're gonna tell a story today, and I'm gonna have visual aids and everything I'm sorry. I had to make you Saul, but I just looked up and you were smiling at me You had that face, you know, like let make me make me King. So here you are. You're King Saul It's very important that when you recognize in life the the seats we take in life need an anointing. I Don't just need to be sent I need to be equipped Matter we're gonna learn a little bit that when you're in a seat that requires an anointing and you don't have the anointing You start losing your mind Acting crazy talking crazy being crazy Why because you're in a seat that requires more than what you have it needs the anointing of the Holy Spirit

Amen, I believe that every seat that's a that's ordained by God needs the blessing of God on that seat Hmm so watch what happens in 1st Samuel 13 verse 13 Samuel said to Saul thou has done foolishly Thou has not Kept the commandment of the Lord thy God Which he commanded thee for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel forever But now thy kingdom shall not continue Look at what Lord the Lord is saying to Saul your kingdom shall not continue Look at this next statement read it out loud The Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart Now we're gonna find out in a moment That's David, but this is spoken before David was called to be king Not after the Lord was seeking one that was after his own heart and the Lord hath commanded Him to be captain over his people because the Lord because thou has not kept that which the Lord Commanded thee boy, that was an intense warning go with me to chapter 15. Let's see if Samuel I'm rather rather Saul is gonna change his ways believe that God said hey this will not continue Well in chapter 15 the Lord gives Saul detailed instructions Detailed commandment on what he wants him to do But he doesn't do it. And so God comes to Samuel and he says hey Saul did not do what I've called him to do Look at verse 10 Then came the word of the Lord unto Samuel saying it Repentant me that I have set Saul to be king for he is turned back from following me and hath not Performed my commandments and he grieved Samuel and he cried unto the Lord all night So Saul is no longer doing what God called him to do read it in chapter 13 read it in chapter 15 So man Samuel who anointed him is grieving and and and he goes to to Saul and he says you know and he goes to meet Saul and look way and look what happened in in verse number 13 and Samuel came to Saul and Saul said unto him blessed be thou of the Lord. I have performed the commandment of the Lord

God went on to say no. No you have not done what I told you to do You have not done what I told you to do and Then and then saw verse 20 once again says yeah I have obeyed the voice of the Lord and have gone the way which the Lord has sent me Then he started blaming the people. He said not a people did all that and so finally after Samuel addresses all and tells him in verse 23 rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as Iniquity and idolatry read verse 23 the rest of it Shreveport and Bosier ready read Because thou has rejected the word of the Lord. He hath also rejected thee from being king So at that moment God said I reject you as my king because you won't do what I've called you to do Now this time it's like something happened and it clicked for Saul Look at verse 24 and Saul said unto Samuel. I have 12 verses later, you finally admitted, I have sinned for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and thy words because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. Come with me to chapter 16. So God said, that's it, you can't be my king. Why? Let's make sure we're getting all this. You wouldn't give me dominion. And when you didn't give me dominion, you wouldn't let me have my will. So I can no longer use you to advance my will. You're advancing the people's will. You're advancing your own will. You're no longer advancing my will, so I can't let you be my king. That's what God was saying to Saul.

And so Samuel's gonna turn to Jesse and say, are you sure all your boys are in front of me? Because God has rejected all seven of these. And Jesse said, no, no, no. Actually, I got one more boy. He's out in the field watching the sheep. And Samuel said, I'm not gonna sit on your sofa or drink your tea until you bring him before me. Something like that. And they called for David. So David, if you would come on up here, I need you to come on up here. So they brought David out of the field and here comes David, the eighth son of Jesse. Eight is the number of new beginnings. He's been overlooked. He's the youngest. He's out there watching the sheep. He didn't even get to show up to meet the prophet. Only the older seven brothers got to show up. But God, even though Jesse didn't present David to God, God knew David existed. Just because you didn't get signed up for the promotion, doesn't mean God doesn't know where you're at. God specializes in taking people from places you wouldn't look and putting them in places you wouldn't expect. Come on, somebody. Remember what I said, the kingdom of God knows no jurisdiction.

It's unlimited in its reach. Now watch what happens here in verse 13. Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brethren. Read it with me. And the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. I gotta make sure you got that. Read that part again. And the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. Now, wait a minute now. You're not king, but you've just been anointed to be king. And the Bible says you were anointed to be king. But I read in 1 Samuel 10, Saul was anointed to be king. Well, which one's anointed to be king? Read verse 14. But the spirit of the Lord, the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and was put on David, a shepherd boy. Saul's still in the seat. Saul's still on the throne, but he doesn't have the anointing to be in the seat. David's not on a throne, but he's got the anointing to be on it. This is a dilemma. This is a dilemma because he's got the power to be what he's not. And he is what he don't have the power to be. Now, don't ask me to say that again because I couldn't.

Because he's got the power to be what he's not and he doesn't have the power to be what he is. And the verse goes on to say that an evil spirit began to torment him to the point that he became deranged in his mind. He became deranged in his mind. Why? Because anytime you sit in a seat, you're not anointed to be in, it will mess you up. You have to know that when you're in a seat that you're not anointed to be in, that seat will mess you up. Anytime God gives you a promotion, anytime God gives you a position, that seat is not the give all. It's the spirit of God that anoints you for that seat. That's how you can look at people and wonder, how did they do that? How did she do that? How did mama raise me like she did? Because not only did she have the seat of mama, she was under the anointing of a mama. I'm telling you right now that without the anointing, the seat will suck you up. That's why I don't have no business wanting a seat I'm not anointed for. Did you hear that? I don't need a seat I'm not anointed for. I learned and I wish I learned it sooner, but I had to finally learn and still learning

that the seat of ministry requires an anointing that you cannot do without the anointing. It'll suck you up, spit you back out. So now Saul is in the seat, but no longer anointed for the seat. David is a shepherd boy with the anointing for the seat. That's a dilemma. So David probably is gonna go tell everybody, I've been anointed. I'm the true. King, Samuel came to me out of eight, he called me. He don't know what he's doing. He don't belong in that seat, I belong in that seat. I gotta invite some people to lunch and dinner. I gotta tell as many people as I can about how bad he is and how I'm the future. That sounds like the world. That's not God. And David never acted that way. David was a man after God's own because he remained honorable even though he knew he was equipped to be in the seat, he didn't dishonor the one that still had it. You wanna know what defines us? It's how we treat people that have what we believe we deserve. I gotta say it again. We can be defined by how we treat people that have what we think we deserve. How did she get that job?

How did she get that promotion? How did he get that house? How did he get that wife? How did he get that? When we think we deserve what somebody else has, how we treat them defines us as believers. But we must choose to be honorable knowing that every good gift coming from God, that he is Lord of heaven and earth. And if this man is in that seat, God must want him in that seat. I'm gonna be as honorable as I can be to the one that's in the seat until God give me the seat. The seat is seen, the anointing is not. Well, I trust that you were blessed by the ministry of God's word.
