Command 5 | Part 14b

Give yourself the home field advantage when you treat people based on the kingdom of God, you bring those people into your domain where King Jesus operates. When God made man in Genesis 1, we get the record in Genesis 1 in verse 26 that the first gift God gave man was dominion. God put man in earth and gave him dominion. That's why God said name everything. You can't name somebody else's pet. When you adopt an animal, you go down to the shelter and adopt an animal, first thing you do is give it a name. Why?

So it will come when you call it. Let me say it another way. You give it a name so it will answer to you. God put man in earth and said, no, I'm not naming everything. You name it. Why is God making man name everything? Because it's going to answer to man. When God made man, he made him head. And he named everything because it would be subject to him. Psalms 8 records this when the angel observing this says to God, what is man that thou art mindful of him for you have crowned him with honor and glory. But when Adam listened to his wife who listened to the serpent, high treason was committed in the garden and Satan took that dominion from man. Not in ownership because Adam was never the owner. He was the lease agent. Satan picked up the lease until Jesus came. Because when Jesus came before he started his ministry in Luke 4 and in Matthew 4, Satan comes to Jesus and he says, hey, bow down and worship me and I will give you the kingdoms of this world for they have been given to me. He knew what Jesus came for and he wanted to remain the head of the kingdoms and he was saying, Jesus, I'll lease them out to you if you'll just worship me. And he says the same thing to us today. Just do it my way and I'll give you that race. Do it my way and I'll give you that fame. Do it my way and I'll give you that fortune. I don't need you, devil.

So Jesus came to bring the kingdom of God back to earth and therefore Pilate is before Jesus. Jesus is before Pilate in John 18 and Pilate don't care none about the Jews or their religion or none of that. He's got one question. Do you really believe you're a king? So Pilate asked Jesus, he said, are you a king? Jesus said, you said it. He said, but are you a king? He said, for this reason I was born. Are you a king? Jesus said, well, not of this world. Because if my kingdom were of this world, my servants would be fighting. But just know that the power you think You have over me you wouldn't have over me had it not be giving you of my daddy Cuz pilot kind of you know, what's messing with him he said do you realize I have the power to put you to death In other words answer me boy, and I'm talking to you That's what pilot was really saying to Jesus, but Jesus said back to Polly So you don't understand my daddy gave you the authority you got He was really saying my kingdom is bigger than yours and you don't even know I spoke of what you would do before you were even born You are getting ready to put me on a tree that I prophesied thousands of years ago what happened You're actually doing what I called you to do I'm in control. Y'all hear what I'm saying If Jesus were to get blocked pilot could have said do you realize I'm threatening you with death Jesus could have said I'm counting on it Cuz I came to die and I'm gonna use you to make it happen See How we build up the enemy and he's just he ain't nothing he he's still working for God Wow Matthew 3

Verse 1 In those days came John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea and Saying read with me church Repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand the kingdom of Heaven is where and how could the kingdom of heaven be at hand? I I Swear so hard preaching the first service this morning. I had to change suits So I make sure it's my come off that platform. I got one of these in hand I've been sweating today So I don't leave that platform and I'll leave that pulpit right there until I make sure I had this at hand I got one right here And I got one head one in my pocket it's at hand When it's at hand that means it's ready It's ready It's ready He said hey you need to repent because the kingdom of heaven is at hand what you've been Singing about going to has come to you It's a hand but for you to receive it you got to repent Religion told us that repent meant to change our ways, but there's some folks that change their ways. It still ain't safe Repent doesn't necessarily mean change your ways take the word re it means turn take the word pit It means highest like the penthouse Repent means turn to the highest Come on now I'm turning to the highest. Why am I turning to the highest because his kingdom is in Why would I walk around on this earth when the one that owns it has made his system And yet Christians sadly Have accepted Christ and walked out life on this earth as if the kingdom was not at hand

Alienated disconnected hopeless Giving the enemy all the glory Because we didn't realize that the state the kingdom of heaven is a place, but its system is available That's why one of the disciples as Jesus. They said hey, what does the kingdom look like Jesus? Let me explain something to you the kingdom does not come with observation You will not say it is here or that it is there. He said the kingdom of God is within you And That's one of the some folk don't like you And you thought it was your position you thought it was your title you thought it was your car No, it's the foul spirit in them does not like the Spirit of God in you And That person feel what that foul spirit don't even know why they don't like you And you'll listen at these people that resist you and hate you and mistreat you and you've let the enemy convince you it's something fleshy. When Ephesians 6 says our battle is not with flesh and blood but we fight a spiritual battle which means there is a spirit in you that resists the spirit in me that wants me to step into the flesh and be combative and abrasive and mean and deal with you in the flesh and when I do I've stepped out of the kingdom. If I try to fight you in the flesh I've just stepped out of the kingdom back into the earth where I lose every time. That's why Jesus said if your enemy hunger feed him. The flesh would never feed your enemy. The flesh would say why fuel my enemy with energy but God says you're going to win this thing spiritually. Bring him into your home turf. Quit trying to fight in his. Give yourself the home field advantage. When you treat people based on the kingdom of God you bring those people into your domain where King Jesus operates. When you step out of your Christianity you step in their domain where you always lose. We've got to learn how to fight spiritual warfare and not let the enemy get us in the flesh. Wow. So that's why Nicodemus came to Jesus in John chapter 3 and he said ah we know you came from God because no man can teach these things or do these things except God be with him. That's Nicodemus.

Jesus said look let me cut to the chase. You cannot see the kingdom until you're born again. And Nicodemus said wait a minute how am I going to enter my mother's womb a second time. See he's thinking flesh and Jesus said no that which is flesh is flesh and that which is spirit is spirit. You're trying to understand something spiritually limited to the flesh. You've come at me with these hard questions because you cannot understand the words I teach and the miracles I perform are not based on the flesh. You've looked at me in my flesh and said can anything good come out of Nazareth? You've looked at me in the flesh and said he don't even have a degree. So Nicodemus comes to Jesus and says I can't. You got to be a God because the things you do and the things you say are not of this world. I don't understand it. Jesus said you won't until you're born again. Then you'll see the kingdom. Then you can start operating by the kingdom because the kingdom is a system. In Matthew chapter 5, 6, and 7 Jesus is telling us how that system operates. John the baptist came preaching he said hey guess what the kingdom of heaven right here it is. Go with me uh one more one more chapter over go to chapter 4. I'm close I'll be done just a minute. Somebody is grilling some chicken somewhere. Watch this Matthew chapter 4 watch this. The kingdom is to advance heaven's will in the earth. We're supposed to be gaining territory through souls by influence. When we first wrapped the city bus here in Shreveport you wouldn't believe the people that came at me. Well how is that legal? How's that legal? How's that legal? How they let you put your name of Jesus on that bus? It's an advertisement. All you do is pay for it. You go get you one. What do you mean it's legal? They didn't give it to them to pay for it. Are you not gonna let me buy an advertisement because my advertisement is Christianity? You violate my first amendment. Naturally speaking. So when it came to that I had a natural law that let us do it. And I also know whose kingdom I represent. I need y'all to go with me. So then all of a sudden I had high and full reaching out because I had no idea what was going on. So then all of a sudden I had high and full reaching out because somebody put on Facebook thing went wrong. I had people reaching out saying I don't know where I am.

We had letters coming from other states. Said, I was so moved when I saw that city bus, in the name of Jesus. We're taking territory. Why in our church must we do all that? It's cause there ain't been nothing on me, it shouldn't be nothing. The state fair invited our worship team to come down on a Sunday evening and leave worship at the Louisiana State Fair. So if you were at the fair that evening, you could stop by our booth, where we were passing out our gospel literature, singing songs about Jesus at a state fair. Well, all that should be sung at church. Don't cast your pearls before swine. You don't understand kingdom. Kingdom is all about taking enemy territory for the glory of God, because Jesus knows no city line. He knows no jurisdiction. Is this making sense? But when we lock ourselves inside a building called a church, put a steeple on the top and say, that's the house of God, we don't understand that we're supposed to be advancing outside of that place. The church was never a place. It was a people.

Matthew four, all right, watch this. Verse 17. From that time, Jesus began to preach. Is anybody looking at it? And look what he said. Read it. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. John the Baptist's message, the kingdom is at hand. Jesus's message, the kingdom is at hand. How are we ignoring this? Jesus said in Matthew 6, 33, after spending a whole chapter talking about needs and worries, what are we gonna eat? What are we gonna drink? What are we gonna wear? How are we gonna pay the insurance? How are we gonna pay for a house like that? How are we gonna put the name of Jesus on billboards all over the city? See, Jesus in Matthew 6 said, which of you by worry can add one inch to your height? Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things that's had you worried will be added. Start operating by a different system. And the system that you honor me in is the system that I will bless. That means you've got to take Jesus into your job, into your business. Don't call yourself a Christian business

because it's owned by a believer. Put Christianity in your practice. That means when you tell somebody you're gonna do something, you do exactly what you said you would do. You offer a good service, you offer a good product, you offer a good value, you treat people right, because you wanna represent Christ and watch God bless your business. But don't be talking about Christian business and you lie, you don't do what you say you're gonna do, you cheat people. And pastors ain't no better when you ask ABC Lawn Care to come mow your church lawn, and then you're gonna walk out there talking about, now you know this for the church. Y'all better cut something off that price. It's for the Lord now, y'all, to cut 50% off. Like God is broke. And the owner of ABC Lawn Care don't even believe in Jesus, and now you're just giving him another reason not to. Because he's trying to build his business, feed his family, and you're trying to cut him out of 50% like he owes the church some. Well, a lot of churches, there's a free port of the church on every corner. Well, he did everybody like that, he go broke. No, we have to start living like we're connected to an actual God. That's why Jesus said, if they ask for your coat, give them your cloak too.

You want my coat, here. I don't have to fight with you if you do me wrong. All I gotta do is go to you and show you where you've done me wrong. That's what Luke 7. Matthew 18 says, if you offend me, I go to you and I say, hey, this is offensive to me. This is what you did. This is the way I received it. And then if you agree and say, oh man, I know that. I didn't mean that, forgive me. Then I've gained a brother. But if you don't, I'm not to spar with you. Because if I start sparring with you over it, I'm going to misrepresent my kingdom. It's good. Oh man, this is heavy. Kingdom living ain't easy. But once you step into it, and once you put Matthew 7, 12 into practice, doing others you'd have done unto you, and you start seeing God honoring you in the ways you've honored him, and you're like, oh my goodness, I've been kept back in this my whole life. I didn't know it was this easy. All right, what verse are y'all in? We gotta wrap up. Who?

Yeah, so Jesus said, repent for the kingdom, it's at hand. All right, let me give you some things to write down. Now don't get up and leave because you need to write these things down. Watch this. Write these things down. All right. Matthew 6, 33. Seek first the kingdom. All right. The kingdom was the first gift God gave man, the first gift God gave his church. First thing John the Baptist preached, first thing Jesus preached. First thing you ought to seek. First thing we're told to pray for. First thing we're told to pray for. Colossians 1, 13 says you've been translated into the kingdom. That's Colossians 1, 13. It actually reads this way. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son. I am no longer under the power of darkness. First Thessalonians 2, 12 says we have been called into his kingdom. Hebrews 12, 28 says we have received his kingdom. Luke 22, 29 says we've been appointed his kingdom. Jesus said, and I appoint unto you a kingdom

as my father hath appointed unto me. Lastly, John 3, 3 says we've been born into his kingdom. I'm a kingdom heir. Well, come on now. I'm a kingdom heir, taking everything. I'm a kingdom heir. I'm living in earth, but I'm not disconnected from heaven. I'm not disconnected from heaven. The enemy has no authority over anything that God has ordained to be mine. And yet we let him sit on our peace like he owns it. Well, the enemy won't let me have peace. I thought Jesus was the prince of peace. Let me give you this illustration after I give you this one more verse and we're gonna close. Isaiah 45, verse eight says, drop down your heavens from above and let the skies pour down righteousness. Let the earth open and let them bring forth salvation. God's saying, hey, I'm trying to send some stuff your way. Receive it. Isaiah 66, one, verse eight says, Isaiah 66, one, the heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool. Psalm 110, verse one. Sit thou at my right hand till I make thine enemies thy footstool. God said, I wanna take this world and your situation and your enemies and I wanna be elevated through it. We let the enemy act like he owns stuff.

And like he has some kind of jurisdiction. And he names all these things that we can't do nothing about. He don't own anything. He just acts like he does. When Jesus died on that cross, I'm closing everything up again. Don't y'all get nervous. When Jesus died on that cross, he redeemed the earth. In Revelation 5, they said, hey, it's time to break the seals. You can't break the seal if you're not the owner. And they said, who's worthy to break the seals of the earth, to judge the earth? And there wasn't but one worthy, and it was Jesus who had redeemed it by his own blood. He's the Lord of heaven and earth. His kingdom touches both. He's not disconnected. Amen. We can see the will of heaven manifest in our lives on earth. All we gotta do is honor our king, honor the Lord. Wherever I honor him, he's honoring me. The will of heaven and the earth. That makes sense to everybody today? Hallelujah, all right. Well, I trust that you were blessed by the ministry of God's word. Do you know that today you have tuned

He's man enough to relate and God enough to demonstrate his power. In the beginning was the word. The word was with God. The word was God. Verse 14, and the word became flesh and we beheld his glory. The world needs what we possess. The only hope for a dark world is the light of Jesus Christ. Let your light so shine.
