Beyond the Chair - A Crown Testimony
Follow the powerful story of Andrea Figueroa, a woman who defied the odds and transformed her life from orphanhood and poverty to purpose. Andrea faced incredible challenges. Yet, her resilience and creativity paved the way for a remarkable journey. Starting with just a basin and a bucket of water, she built a thriving business of beauty salons in the Dominican Republic. Today, she empowers her community by teaching stewardship principles through Crown Ministries.
When a person comes from orphanage, they usually feel insecure, they usually feel vulnerable. ¿Para qué Dios me creó? ¿Por qué nacer? ¿Para qué Dios me creó? ¿Por qué nacer? ¿Para qué Dios me creó? ¿Por qué nacer? I was born in the Casique community in Monte Plata. When my father died, I was one year old. And when my mother died, I was three years old. I came to the city with my aunt when I was 12 years old. That's when I started working. In my life, I have done many types of work, but none of them have been fruitful. On one occasion, when my aunt told me that she understood that I should do a beauty course to set up a small salon, I did not have the money to buy the equipment or the equipment that a beauty salon deserves. I got creative by placing a bucket on top of a table, where I would wash the client's head with a bucket of water. God helped me. People came to this place and I tried to make that person satisfied. When I was growing up as a stylist, fashion came to the country of hair extensions. I understood that it was my strength, but I did not know how to do it. That led me to create my own method. When I created my own style, people liked it, and that gave me experience and catapulted me because it was very good. The man who sold hair here in the country, when he realized that I was buying in the same place that he was buying, made him feel angry and forbade the factory to sell me because he understood that I was not at his level to buy where he was buying. When I called for my saleswoman to sell me, she told me, Andrea, I'm sorry, I can't sell you because they called from Santo Domingo and forbade the sale. I felt rejected. I felt vulnerable. I felt unprotected. I did not know why this man could have such a hard heart to want to prevent another person from growing. I implored that lady, I cried, I said, please, I have three daughters, I have to keep them, I need you to sell me. It is necessary that you sell me. And she told me, Andrea, it is the same in my country.
The big fish eats the boy, but I'm going to do something, I'm going to sell you, even if I have to risk my job. I'm sorry. It was difficult. After you touch the bottom, the only thing that remains is to go up. When I said yes, I accept Jesus Christ as my only and sufficient Savior, He held me. She asked me, give me the name of a person. And I gave her the name of my aunt, and she sold me in her name. and I continued to grow and advance. God gave us 23 beauty salons. He also gave us beauty academies. I always wanted to share my knowledge with other people. I began to teach young people so that they could also have the possibility to grow. Today we have graduated thousands of women in our academies. Many times, business owners handle us not in the way of God, but in our own way. Knowing Crown Financial Concepts was the best thing that could happen in my personal life and in the life of my business. I began to discover that I was simply an administrator of what I owned and that God was the owner. After applying Crown Financial Concepts in my business, I have received peace, I have received tranquility, I have received contentment, I have received the way to distribute my time and my things. It is a little difficult to balance family and business. I was always aware that I was dedicating a lot of time to work, but it was necessary because in me there was a feeling that I could die at the age that my mother died. And I wanted to leave my daughters a niche, I wanted to leave them stability. God has helped me to be able to balance on the way. And today I can say that I have stable, professional, and focused daughters. Daughters who are also undertaking. Seeing my daughter who can help me in business and who can do things, I understand that this is a gift. Working with my mother and continuing her legacy has meant for me a very challenging task, because she did it very well, but it has also become an inspiration.
And for me it is an honor to be able to maintain what she has built and that it becomes a legacy for our future generations. Knowing the biblical truths that the Crown Ministries teach has become something very transformative for our lives and for our businesses, because it has helped us understand that businesses are a means, not an end. A means for many people to know God and can come into contact with the plan of salvation. We work with small groups, bringing the training of the good majority of God. We move to churches and form leaders so that they can continue working with the majority of God, with Crown financial concepts. We believe that if we are more educated in the way of managing money, then in the future we will see great benefits. Benefits that will be inherited by our descendants. In the way we handle ourselves, so they will also be handled. So it will be a legacy that we will leave not only to our children, but to a community so that they can understand the good majority, which is to manage money, our resources, our lives, our time, our finances, and everything that God has put in our hands in the good order of God. I know that I have many things to do in God, and I want His pleasant and perfect will be fulfilled in my life. I can say that I am a happy woman, without resentment, without grudges, without hatred. A woman who was shaken by rejection. Rejection did not hurt her. Rejection did not make her weaker, but made her stronger. No matter how hard the times were,
there is a sun that will shine tomorrow. The sun will shine, and the light will come. The orphan cell challenges you to be resilient or defeated. Because it either takes you out of where there is nothing for you to be able to do things, or it has to get you used to the pain, has to get you used to rejection, has to get you used to a hard life, but with a mentality that there is something beyond. A woman who was shaken by rejection. Rejection did not hurt her. Rejection did not make her weaker, but made her stronger. A woman who was shaken by rejection. Rejection did not make her weaker, but made her stronger. The rejection did not hurt her. The rejection did not make her weaker, but made her stronger. A woman who was shaken by rejection. Rejection did not make her weaker, but made her stronger. A woman who was shaken by rejection. A woman who was shaken by rejection. A woman who was shaken by rejection.
