A Matter of Reconciliation | Relationship Matters | Shoreline Church | Sermon
We all experience **offenses**—it’s unavoidable. But how we **respond** makes all the difference. In this message, we explore **God’s plan for reconciliation**, the power of **forgiveness**, and the freedom that comes from letting go of past hurts.
**Key Scriptures:**
- **Luke 17:1** – "It is impossible that offenses will not come..."
- **Ephesians 4:32** – "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
- **Matthew 18:15** – "If a fellow believer hurts you, go and tell him—work it out between the two of you."
- **Romans 12:17-19** – "Do not repay anyone evil for evil… 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord."

**What We Learned:**
✔ **Offenses are inevitable** – We will all be hurt at some point, but we have the power to choose how we respond.
✔ **Release it** – Holding onto offense only poisons us. **Let God handle it.**
✔ **Forgive** – True forgiveness **sets you free** and stops the cycle of bitterness.
✔ **Reconcile when possible** – Take the first step. **Go in private, seek peace, and let love lead.**
