We’re kicking off a new collection of talks on relationships, and today, we’re focusing on **A Matter of Friendship.** Relationships are everywhere—friendships, marriage, workplace connections, extended family—but knowing we need them and cultivating them well are two different things. One of the biggest paradoxes in today’s world is that we are more connected than ever yet more relationally isolated than before. We long for deep, meaningful friendships, but few actually experience them. The story of **David and Jonathan** in the Bible gives us a model for true friendship—one that is **intentional, selfless, loyal, and encouraging.** It reminds us that no matter how strong we are, nobody makes it alone.
