You’ve Got Work To Do // Viral Revival: Bloodline Edition // Charles Metcalf
You are here for session four of our viral revival and this is a session that is about to bless you and bless your bloodline. We are recapping everything that happened at our 2026 bloodline conference. And if you have not already, I need you to go back and watch every message. I preached a message called Born to Bless My Bloodline and then row came and preached a message call, it's in my DNA. And I hope you caught the theology and therapy session with Dr. Anita Phillips and my beautiful wife, Natalie Ty. And this session right here is taught by my brother, somebody who has lived out and decided to embody the messages he speaks. On this very stage, a couple of years ago, he told you that God chose you. And today this one is gonna impact you even more, I believe. Get ready to get yourself ready to do the work that God has called you to do when you realize that your bloodline is about to be blessed through you. This is Pastor Charles Metcalfe and a message called, I've got work to do. (crowd cheering) (upbeat music) (crowd cheering) (upbeat music) (crowd cheering) (upbeat music) (crowd cheering)
(upbeat music) (crowd cheering) (upbeat music) (crowd cheering) (crowd cheering) Y'all ready for the word? (crowd cheering) Let's get it. The Book of Luke, chapter number nine. I believe they got it on the screen for us. We're gonna read it up here. Could you throw that up for me on the back, L.A.D.? (crowd cheering) This is what the word of God says. Just kidding, sorry, let me go to John chapter, what was my first scripture I told you, John? John chapter nine, my bad. John chapter nine, then the first verse. This is what the Bible says now as Jesus passed by. He saw a man who was blind from birth and his disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned? This man or his parents that was born blind. Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents sinned and got nothing to do with his bloodline. But that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of him who sent me while at his day for the night is coming when no man can work. And as long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. The title of the sermon tonight is I got work to do. We got work to do.
We got work to do. Everybody in your bloodline wanted to change their bloodline. Somebody has to change their bloodline. We got work to do. Ben, stay with me. Lord, let's pray God. Thank you. Thank you for who you are, who you've always been and who you always be. We are here because you have changed our bloodline. And now we are asking that you would grant us with the courage, the faith and the trust to do the work you have put in front of us. And God, we will do it with everything that we have. It's the name of Jesus we pray and everybody said, amen. There is a quote that is going to shape how I preached tonight. And I heard it and it really stuck with me. And it says this, I wrote it on the side of the podium. It says, and when you preach, you must preach unsure to ever preach again, a dying man preaching to dying men. And I want to be clear with you tonight. This is not a sermon about when you're going to die. Jesus said only the Father knows when the end time is coming. My sermon tonight is about the choice you have of when you're gonna live. And do not get it twisted being alive and living are not the same thing, friend. If I were to ask you how long do you think you're gonna live, I'm not asking you how many years God will grant you on this planet until you drift over into eternity
and see him face to face in his hair of wool, in his eyes of fire and his bronze feet. That is not the question. I'm asking how long will you be alive before you make the decision to live. And I'm afraid it is not enough to just want to change your bloodline. You should start there. It's important. There's a courage, there's a strength, there's a desire. And many of you over the last couple of hours you've gotten a desire that man, I wanna do it, but I've got some news for you, friend, in the most kind, loving, considerate, compassionate way. You wanna know who else wanted to change your bloodline everyone before you. You think people want to stay alcoholics their whole life? You think people want the voice to run in their family? You think people wanna shy back from every opportunity God's put in front of them? You think people wanna walk around question and people? No, no, no, everybody wants something different. Some people, they reach a moment in their life where they stop considering all the stuff they wanna do and they realize there are a few things they have to do. Some people don't want the business to succeed. Some people decided it has to. Some people don't want to get confident. They decided I have to be. I have no other option and tonight I wanna encourage you,
you have to change your bloodline because you got work to do, you got work to do. I know you've been fighting for a long time just to get back on your feet, but once you get back on your feet I wanna remind you, you're not back on your feet to stay in the same spot. You're back on your feet 'cause you've got work to do. You're back on your feet because God chose you. You're back on your feet because you were born to bless your bloodline, you're back on your feet because something's in your DNA that other people don't got. You're back on your feet because you've got work to do. Jesus knew he had work to do. The context of John chapter nine is only appreciated when you understand what happens in John chapter eight. And Jesus is about to get stoned, the Bible says. And he slips out where they cannot see him. But as he is sneaking out, he still has enough time to stop for someone who can't do anything for him, which I love because it's a picture of the gospel. When the church people are acting foolish and wanna crucify him and wanna stone him, he leaves them to come find a blind man who can't do anything for him. And he rolls up on the blind man and blind Bartimaeus. And the first question they ask is whose fault is this? Why is he blind? There was a pervasive thought at the time that there were pre-existent souls and he must ascend in a previous life
or it was his mom or dad that did something to him. And it's the assumption that if something's wrong, God is punishing somebody somehow. And God said, friend, that ain't it. Your theology's wrong on that one. And Christians love to do this. We love to look at other people's issue and try to theorize and make theologies all about why they happened and what happened. And the truth is Jesus comes to you and says why is not the question you should be asking. What Jesus does is he sees this man and he directs their question from why to a window. He takes the question from why to the window and here's the window, it's still day, y'all. He says we have to work the works while it is still day. That's a window of time. That's a window of opportunity. That's at the time they could only work when it was life, when the sun went down, you did get another day but you never got that day back. And I am coming to you today when it comes to your bloodline, when it comes to you getting out of these habits, I am telling you the grace of God will give you another day but you won't get this one back. (congregation cheering) The grace of God will give you another shot but you don't get this shot back. The grace of God will give you another day
and this is not some hell fire and brimstone sermon. This is saying you have been awoken today with courage Will you net another day pass? Saying tomorrow, I'll get to that. Let me just try it one more time. Let me just fall to the lesser version of myself one more day. Just let me go out for my birthday. Then I'll get it together. Let me just have this one night stand. Then I'll get it together. Meanwhile, your children's children's children are standing up somewhere, saying would please someone put a stop to this. The Bible says that all of heaven is standing over the balcony and they're cheering you on and they're watching you friend and this is your moment. This is it. This is the day the Lord has made. This is your moment. This is it. There's no special. If you're waiting on goosebumps that you had them, they're gone. You're here. My sermon is so, so you know that you're born to bless your bloodline. You know that it's in your DNA. Now we got work to do. We got work to do. We got people to save. We got friends to encourage. We got work to do. We got work to do and I feel this so strongly in Jesus. He gives them a window. He says, "Hey, listen, I got to work the works while still day because, you know, night is coming." Now Jesus is not talking about there is an alliteration here and an analogy here of life and death, but Jesus know he going to die and they live again. But what he does know is I have three years. My day on this earth with you is three years and I've got work to do. So I will stop asking why this happened and I'm going to stop trying to theorize about all the reasons why I got myself here. The truth is friend. It doesn't matter at this point. I'm not saying you should definitely. There's some stuff that's happened in your past that happened in the session today with theology and therapy that you need to dig into. There's some stuff we're going to talk about tomorrow that you've got to get into. But the truth is, you've got to figure all that out because you've got work to do. Jesus says, "I got to work. The work God has given me because it's day right now, but one day it's going to be night." And then I'm not saying that you're going to die, friend. I'm saying that you've got a window of opportunity. There's a moment here. There's a moment in time where God's put some courage on the inside of you. There's a moment in time where you feel like maybe this is my moment. There's a moment in time where you feel like maybe I do need to make that decision. And here's what I'm begging of you tonight. Why are you still negotiating? You knew it on the first night when you heard Pastor Michael preach what you had to do.
You knew you walked out of here knowing, but there's some part of us that still wants to negotiate. Okay, well, but what am I going to do? You know, I got you. I got it. I'm born to bless. But you know what you have to do, friend. I'm just begging you. Please do it and do it now. You have to do it, friend, because there's people who need you. Jesus in this story is beautiful because he slows down for line Bartimaeus and he tells him like this is his moment and he heals him and it's a beautiful moment. But he's trying to give us the context that there's an urgency to the call that you have. And that's really what I feel tonight for you. There's an urgency. There's an urgency to why God put you in this room on this day. There's an urgency to why you're feeling all those things. There's an urgency to what you wrote down in your journal. There's an urgency to the moment. And I'm not trying to get that. There's this narrative of that you should be doing what you need to do because you're afraid you're gonna die tomorrow. And my Bible says that God has not given me a spirit of fear. So I'm not going with that. I'm not doing this because I'm afraid I'm doing this because I'm on assignment. I'm doing this because my life matters. I'm doing this because God chose me. I'm doing this because I'm not waiting on anybody else to show up and do what I know I can do right now. And I heard a quote that changed me and says, "Those who can, they must." And Jesus was moved his whole life by must. I don't know if this has ever happened to you but me and my wife will be "What do you want to watch?" And you turn on the TV and here's what happens when you ask, "What do you want?" What happens is in your mind, you go to what could you do? What do I want to do or what could we watch? Then you flip through for two hours. This happens with your food when you are, what do you want to eat? I don't know, well, we could do megs again, we could do Italian, we could, and you go all that. And when you think about what you want to do, you think about what you could do, and you honestly don't end up doing what you should do.
Because sometimes what you want to do is not what you should do. And what you should do, you don't want to do. But there has to be something that rises up in you greater than your feelings. And it is the idea that there are some things in this life I have to do. Paul, he's talking in the scriptures. And he starts in the beginning and he says, he's pretty much bragging about who he is all through the scripture. But he says this phrase that got me. He says, "If I preach the gospel, "I have nothing to boast about." And he says this, "For necessity has been placed upon me." What he's saying is, is I don't have a choice. I don't have a choice. I have to do this. And all I'm saying tonight, this is not a crazy big message. It's a clear message to tell you, whatever you have to do, don't wait to do it. Whatever you have to do, and you know it right now, you know it right now. Don't second guess it. Don't let the enemy lie to you. Don't try to overthink it. Don't try to make it bigger than it really is. You need to go back and you need to have some conversations. You need to go back and you need to write down the plan. You need to go back and say,
"I'm gonna only do this for a little bit longer." And then I'm stepping it. You know what you have to do. My question is, will you find the courage to do it? Very simple tonight. I wanna give you three things because you've got work to do. Three things that you have to do. Three things that you have to do in this life. The first thing that you have to do, friend, is you have to live. I said it earlier, but you have to live. And when I say live, what I'm saying is take the terrifying risk. Whatever it is that God is placed on the inside of you, you have to take the step. Because if you do not take the step, you don't have stories to tell. And if you don't have stories to tell, you don't know how to overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony. So if you never step, you never get the story. And if you don't get the story, people never see the Savior. You got to take the risk that scares you. You got to do the thing that they say is crazy. You got to step out because it's only in stepping out that you figure out, can I walk on water? And many people will spend their whole life in the boat asking, well, I don't know.
And it looks kind of wavy. But somebody's got to have the courage to say, he didn't say my name, but I hurt him call. So I'm stepping out here. And either God is God or he's not. Either Baal is Baal or he's not. But if God be God, let him be God. And every other person be a liar, as for me and my house, as for me and my bloodline, as for these kids, I can't control everybody's kids, I can't control the government, I can't control the school system, but I can do my work. And I'm choosing to live. And you got to, you got to take the risk. God did not call us to a safe life. Jesus is not a security blanket. It's not a ticket, so make sure you don't go to hell. That is not what he bled and died on a cross and fulfilled thousands of prophecies for. He didn't do that, so you could be like, but I can go to heaven and I can go to church one day and then it'll be really thumbs up. And that's not why he's here. That's not why he came. He's here, so there could be an army of people who rise up saying I will not let another day go by and the devil keep lying to our kids and stealing our friends and changing the narrative
and selling lies as truth. I'm not standing for it. You've got to decide to live. You've got to decide to take risk. You've got to decide to step out. You've got to decide to see, is this faith real or not? Is God a provider or not? five or nine. [BLANK_AUDIO] And so many of us are so worried about God's persona and how He looks to other people and how goofy we may look that we never step out trying to protect His reputation. Let me tell you friend, He spoke to stars. He don't even worry about you helping Him with His reputation. He splits seas, He's got a good reputation. He slays giants, He's got a good reputation. Ask Samson, He's got a good reputation. Ask David, He's got a good reputation. Ask Daniel, who met Him in the lion's den? He does not need you to protect His reputation. And we love to tell those stories and the only problem is you ain't got no stories for yourself. And I'm not dire with telling other people's stories. I want to see the miracle worker for myself. I want to see, I want to walk on dry ground through a wave like nobody else has before. I want that story for myself. I want to see a dead body get up for myself.
I don't want to just read about it. I didn't give my life to this to read stories and yell in a room. I gave my life to this 'cause I think He can raise dead bodies. I think He can save marriages. And if He can't, what are we doing up in here? I want some stories for myself. And I'm going to get him. (crowd cheering) I'm sick of telling old stories. I'm sick of rehearsing old miracles. I'm sick of trying to go back and tell them I remember in the Old Testament where no, what happened yesterday? I love it. I rehearsed and encouraged my faith, but I want some stories for myself. And you got to go get them, friend. They're not showing up to your door. You've got to step out. You've got to say, hey, come here. Can I pray for you for a second? (crowd cheering) I want some stories, man. 'Cause if we ain't got stories, what are we doing? This is a waste of all of our time, all 4,000 of our lunatics. If he doesn't do miracles, raise dead bodies, heal people, rescue people out of hell.
It's all ridiculous if we ain't got no stories. (crowd cheering) (crowd cheering) I only know one way how to do this, man. And it's all in. So I'm trying to figure out, does he do this stuff in this book? Does he use the foolish things to confound the wise? (crowd cheering) He said, if he doesn't, I can't do this. But if he does. (crowd cheering) If he really does this, if he can really do what we believe, he says he can do a friend, you've got to live. And you've got to live like you believe that book is true. And you've got to live like there's still hope for tomorrow. And you've got to live like when you die, you're going to step on streets of gold. And you've got to live like you know, you're going to see your grandmama one day. And you've got to live like you know your kids got a purpose. And you've got to live like you know, there's fire shut up in your bones. And you've got to live like there is the King of Kings and Lord of look, you've got to live. (crowd cheering) I hope you can feel the weight of this message. That God is literally depending on you to do what he's asked you to do
so that you can be the blessing in your bloodline. Now listen, we're about to get right back to the message, but I got to tell you two things. Number one, you should be a conference next year. Like the truth of the matter is, you shouldn't even have to be watching this because you should have already been there, had the notes and I don't want you to miss your opportunity this next year. June 16th, 17th and 18th meet us right here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the gathering place. As we open up God's word and open up this arena to people who are hungry for the things that God has for them in their now as well as their future. Tickets are on sale right now. As a matter of fact, you need to go ahead and click this QR code at the bottom of the screen and sign up, bring your whole crew, pastors, bring your leaders, people, bring your husbands, bring your wives, bring your kids. Why are you saying this? Because one experience that is God centered can change the rest of your life. And we believe V6 is gonna be the... The second thing I need you to know is that we have a soundtrack to the transformation of your bloodline. That's right, I'm talking about victory in my veins, inheritance, never lose. These songs we have put in a form
that you can listen to every day so that you can remember who you are, what God has already given you and that the generations behind you will be blessed because of the decisions you've made. Click the QR code or go listen anywhere you listen to your music. Here's the thing, friend. You will never learn how to live if you don't do number two, and that's learn how to die. Because if you never live, your death never means nothing, and if you die, you'll never learn how to live. What I'm telling you is, is if you want to find your life, you've got to lose it. You've got to die to the worst version of you. I'm talking to you because I know this person because I've got one in me too that likes to show up. And there's some part of you that's still negotiating if you're the one to change your bloodline. It's the lesser you. Now, let me be honest about this version of you. It's really just trying to protect you because it's gotten hurt. It's a part of you that says, "Hey, I don't know if we can do this because last time we tried, we got hurt real bad that people that were supposed to protect us." But I'm telling you, you've got to stop negotiating with that version of yourself. It has nothing for you. It protected you when you were smaller, but now it's keeping you in a cage, and you've got to die to that version of you. You've got to die to the version of you that doesn't do what it know it has to do. I told this to my son last night. Last night, our kids were here and we were rocking till midnight and just vibing and hanging out.
And that's crazy with four kids. We're always in church babies and they're going to grow up in God's houses. So we get home, me and Arlo get out the car, Arlo fell asleep, and I get him out and I say, "Hey, get out, bud," and he gets out and he's like, "Oh, dad, I'm so tired." I said, "Me too, buddy." And then I said, "Uh-oh, buddy. It's Wednesday." And he goes, "Dad," and he said, "You know what Wednesday is, bud, trash is coming in the morning. Come on, big dog, let's go get this trash, but dad, I don't want to get this trash." And I looked at my son and I said, "Here's what Metcalf men do. We do what we have to do even when we don't want to." We're going to have to die to the version of you that is so obsessed with what it wants, that it never does what it has to do. I hope you get what you want, but that's not the priority here. That's not the priority. I hope the dream that you had as a little kid comes true, but that's not the priority here. That is not the thing. There are some things you have to do. And we've gotten it backwards because you think if you get obsessed about what you want to do, then you'll end up finding purpose and peace and joy. But I'm telling you, friend, those things are only found on the things you have to do. And there is this narrative that we don't want responsibility, we don't want obligation, we don't want pressure. I'm telling you, you're your best version under pressure. I'm telling you, you're your best self when you accept the call that God put on your life. Stop running away from the leadership, stop running away from the small group, stop running away from stepping up and saying something, you're your best self under pressure.
You need a little bit that you were built for that pressure. But that pressure is going to require you to die to some stuff. It's going to require you to die in your marriage to say, I was wrong, I was so wrong and I'm sorry and if you never die, you ain't never going to have no marriage. If you have never been felt so frustrated with having to say, I'm sorry, you've got to get more use to that. If you've ever felt so angry like there's no way I'm about to say sorry, but I'm about to. It's your cost, it's your something. After Michael Freaks, a couple of days ago, Jesus, he turns to his people and he says, if you want to follow me, you got to pick up your cross daily. And we think that and we think, oh yeah, I got my Jesus piece on, you understand? When Jesus said cross, he had not died yet. So there was no association with him and his grace. slung up outside the city, criminals. And this is the imagery he gives for his followers. You want to follow me? You're going to have to die. But it's in dying that you find life. And I'm just saying, if you would just hurry up and die. [LAUGHTER] Oh, I'm trying to tell you, Fred. If you would hurry up and die, life is waiting on you. Because your pride has kept you so small. And your insecurity has kept you so small. And your people pleasing has kept you so small. And your ego has kept you so small. [CHEERING AND APPLAUSE] This is-- these are made up points. This is what Jesus did.
In the scriptures in Luke, he says, the Son of Man must preach the gospel. He said, I have to. I have to live. Because it's in his life that we have a high priest that can relate to us, where he was tempted in every way, but yet without sin. So it's in his life that we relate to him. It's in his life that we see the miracles. It's in his life that the disciples found out who they were. It's in his life that we saw somebody that showed us how to actually be human. It's in his life that proved that God was fulfilling the promise he gave to Abraham. It was in his life. But it was in his death. It was when they beat him until you couldn't recognize it. And it was every stripe that he took. I know this is heavy, but if you don't understand how much he died for you, when you realize how he died for you, when you realize what it cost, the weight-- this is a lot I know-- but the weight of every darkest moment you've ever had, times everybody who has ever lived is living, and will ever live was on one man. And then he's like, hey, you think you could stop doing that? But God, this is just how I am. I've got to keep it real. OK, keep it real as long as you want to. But night is coming, friend.
And I'm not talking about dying. I'm talking about you have a window of time with those kids in your house. God will restore the relationship when y'all are adults, but when they're 18, they're gone. I'm not saying he's not a god of grace. He will give you chance after chance after chance. But they are only in your house for them 18 years. You're only going to have this friend circle for this period of time, and y'all will reconnect at the reunion. But you've got them in your life now, and they need you now, and your workers need you now. You can get another day. But what you're going to do with this day? You're going to have to live. You're going to have to die. And the last point is you have to finish. [MUSIC PLAYING] You have to make it till the end with all your integrity intact. You have to make it to the end. Still being kind to people. You've got to make it to the end. Still being able to lift your hands in worship and not become jaded. You've got to lift your hand. Being able to see somebody else being raised up and be like, yes, absolutely. You've got to make it. You've got to finish.
Because the testimony is not that we start. Christians love to start stuff. You're going to go home. You're going to start a Bible study, and you should. But next year, at the conference, when we ask you, how's the Bible study going? Oh, well, only like three people came. Only three people. Only three. You mean like three, like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? You mean three, like Meshach, Shadrach, and a bit ago? You mean three, like Peter, James, and John? Don't despise small beginnings, friend. God can do a lot with three. Matter of fact, on Friday, on Saturday, on Sunday. Dude, not despise. Only three, we're talking about a bloodline. You got to finish. And here's the thing, friend. If you started and you laid it down, guess what? You can pick it up right now. You can pick it back up right now. You ain't got to wait for nothing. You ain't got to wait for an altar call. You ain't got to go and make a whole new presentation. Pick it up right now. And here's where you pick it up first. You pick it up first in here. You pick it up first in here. There's a conviction.
There's a decision in your heart. There's a decision in your soul. There's a decision that this is who I am. This is what I'm going to do. And you can go back home and make the plans. But some of you need to make a commitment in your soul. I will not die with this bloodline not changing. I've decided. And whatever it costs me, wherever I got to go, whatever I got to do, I want to read you a piece of Scripture. And then we're going to worship the God of miracles. This is what the Bible says in Timothy. This is Paul talking to Timothy. And we're going to read a little bit of it. It says this in 2 Timothy verse number five. I remember your genuine faith for your share-- for you share the faith that first healed your grandmother, Lois, and your mother, Eunice. He's saying, there's some faith that runs in your bloodline. And thank God it's in your bloodline. Thank God for praying moms and dads. Thank God there was people before you that decided to be faithful. Thank God it's in your bloodline. He said, I see the faith because I see it's ran through your grandmother. It's ran through your mama. And he says this. And I know the same faith continues strong in you.
But this is why I remind you. And here's what Paul is saying. The context of this Paul is writing from prison. And theologians are going to say, he has months to live. All the original disciples are dying off. And the next generation is up. And what he's saying is your grandmother, she did her part. Your mama did her part. But you up now. You up. And for a long time, I spent my life on the side. I grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky. And we would go to Covington Park. There were two parks in Kentucky-- Covington Park and Carriocas Park. And to be blown with you, Carriocas Park is where all the white people played. And Covington Park is where you went if you wanted to get shot and get dunked on. So you threw the math. I'm not saying nothing, but we was really trapping out there, Covington. So sometimes I go to both, because you know how I get down. Because my daddy, like my mom and wife. So it was just the pin on the back. [LAUGHTER] Sometimes I be out there like, to you, Jerry. And then sometimes I'm like, boy, I'm about to bust you so hard way if you don't get hooked. OK.
Hold on. [LAUGHTER] That's the first time I've done that in a while. But at Covington Park, you will pull up. You ain't even got your shoes on. And you run up. And you come out. You'll be like, yo, who got next? Who got-- who got-- you got next? You got-- you got-- you got-- you don't got-- you don't got-- oh, yeah, I got next. Everybody, look at me, hey? Because they will trick you if you-- oh, hey, right here. Well, us five. Our five, we got next. And then you go, wait. And you do whatever you hang with your homies. But if the game ends, and they're who who are next? And you ain't standing there, ready? If you ain't there saying, yeah, we got next. Yeah, we hear our five right here. And all I'm saying is, is God is saying, hey, who's got next? And I'm looking for some people that say, all right, five right here. We've been waiting on this moment. We've been training for this moment. This is why I prayed. This is why I went through hell.
This is why the devil should have killed me when he had a chance. We got next. We hear and the God of the universe is on our side. I'm looking for some people who are confident that Jesus has chosen you for this moment. Nobody else is coming. You're not waiting on another moment. You want some stories for yourself. You want some miracles for yourself. Somebody say I got next. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] There is an urgency to what he placed in you. And I am saying you better guard that thing with all you got. Because the truth is, you gotta step out there and you gotta be the one, but this is not about you. Don't get it twisted, this ain't like, I'll go next, 'cause I'm about to ball out, bro, get out of here. Get out of here, this has nothing to do with us. We gotta step out, because there's people out there who don't know, and how will they know unless someone tells them. (audience applauding) And all I'm saying is, you got work to do. I got work to do, but you ain't gotta be worried. You ain't gotta be afraid, 'cause you were born to bless your bloodline.
I ain't got nothing to be worried about, 'cause there's some stuff in my DNA. I may not have found it out yet. Oh man, there's some stuff that only come out of your DNA when it's supposed to. You don't know who you are until you get into a certain situation, and all I'm saying is, is there some stuff that's about to come up out of you? You're about to find some courage that you didn't know was there. You're about to find some power, that you didn't know was there. You're about to find some confidence, that you didn't know was there. You're about to find, you're about to find out who you've always been. When I stood at the altar with Abby Rose Henry at the time, my dad was officiating our wedding. He said, "Do you accept this woman to be your wife?" And Abby, "Do you expect this man to be your husband?" I became her husband in that moment. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what it meant to be what I had already become. So don't get it twisted, just 'cause you don't know how to do it. Don't mean you ain't it. (audience cheering) I ain't figured it out yet, but I am the head and not the tell.
I got some stuff I'm working on, but I am the lender and not the borrower. I know who I am. I'm a king's kid. I know who I am. You gotta decide who are you gonna be. And then just be okay with the rest of your life becoming who you've always been. Standing all over this room. The Bible says when it came time for Mary to give birth to Jesus, and in that sentence it is so simple and so such a few words, but that timing was thousands of prophecies, hundreds of years that led to one window. And all I'm saying is friend, God's moved heaven and earth. There's been thousands of people before you that bring you to this window. And my question is who will you be in this window? Who you gonna be? God's with you. He loves you. You ain't out here trying to earn nothing. You ain't already got. This is grace, not works. Get out of here. We ain't trying to bring back the law. Trust me, you don't want that. You wouldn't know where to get a goat right now if I told you.
(audience laughing) I need a goat, two turtle doves and a pargis and a pear tree for all the sin I done been through. You wouldn't know what to do with it. What'd you buy your heads and close your eyes? I just want to pray for you. I'm gonna invite the worship team to come back up. We're gonna sing a little bit of worship. Please don't duck out of here. I gave us a little bit of extra time so we could worship our God because some of you need to sit in an atmosphere and you need to let the presence of God shake who you're about to become. You have been in so many other atmospheres that have shaped who you've become and your home life shaped who you've become and your work and your boss shaped who you've become and your friend circle tried to shape who you were gonna become. "God, who do you say that I am? "What is the dreams you put in my heart? "What are the plans you have for me? "What am I about to try that is terrifying me? "What do I need to die to? "What if I've been stuck in that I'm not gonna be stuck in? "You need the presence of God to shape you." So I'm gonna pray and I'm gonna ask you to stay in this atmosphere and our team's gonna sing a song
and I believe in God's gonna meet you right where you are. Dear Jesus. The miracle worker, the star breather, the king of kings and the lord of lords, God, we are here because you finished your work. It was done, when you died on that cross and when you got up three days later, you said, "God, it is finished." And so now, God, we are lifting our head and lifting our eyes to that same miracle worker and saying, "Would you show up in our own life? "Would you show up in our own family? "God, would you show up in our children? "Would you show up in our nephews? "Would you show up, God? "We wanna see that we want the story, Lord of Job," where he said, "I'd only heard stories about you before, "but now I know you for myself, God. "We wanna know you for ourself. "We wanna live this thing, God, in a way." Here we see you. So miracle worker, would you give us courage? Miracle worker, would you let us lay down that offense? I feel that so strong. Some of you, you're in here tonight and you have been so angry and that anger has been a prison and it's about to become something that you accept as just who you are and God can break that off of you right now.
You do not need, I'm so serious right now. Some of you, there is an anger that is buried deep in your heart and it's someone who wronged you and let me tell you, they were completely wrong, but if you do not let that go, right now in the name of Jesus, I speak freedom. Resentment and anger, rage that has held your heart because you felt like you got done wrong not just by them, but God. I thank you for the anointing and oil of Jesus that would break it right now. Insecurity that has had you knowing who you are, but scared to show people broken in the name of Jesus. Crippling fear, some of you have been having nightmares. You had a nightmare the night before you flew here. You had a nightmare, and you've had the same one. It's been the same nightmare for a long time and I'm telling you right now, that is not your story. That is not your story. That is not your story. And don't you dare accept it as your story. That is not your story. I speak against those demons that have been tormented to you in the name of Jesus, and I speak the blood of Jesus over your house. You are covered, peace. I thank you, angels, surround that place in the name of Jesus. There is people who there has been
the pattern of a mental illness that has ran in your family. There is something and right, you've been so scared. You've been like waiting for it to hit. You've made it this far, but you've been thinking that at just some point it's gonna show up and I just don't know if I'm gonna be able to handle it. That is not your portion. God broke all them curses at the cross. Do not accept that narrative. You are not bipolar, you are not schizophrenic. You are not I rejected in the name of Jesus. He already broke that curse. You do not have to carry that in the name of Jesus. That devil has tried to track through your family and it will not pass to you. It will not, it will not, it will not pass. The blood of Jesus is over this house. It will not come in here. It has to go find another house, but the blood of Jesus covers this place. It's gotta pass over. It's gotta pass over. Habits that have ran in your family. It's gotta pass over. There's a man in here that you have, you are on the edge of making a decision that will be exactly what your grandfather and dad did. You've got some questionable DMs, you've got some questionable interactions at work right now
and you know it and you can decide right now the man you're gonna be. You can decide right now, I'm not doing it. That's not who I am, it's not in my bloodline. Decide right now, that's not who I'm a man of integrity. I'm a man that's a valor, I'm a man that cards my woman, I'm a man that I know who I am. (audience applauds) (audience applauds) - There's a young girl in here and you're young, you came with your mom. Just your mom. Did you come with your mom? Yeah. Hi. Hi. I, uh. Good job, mom. (audience applauds) Good job. There's a big, there's a big call in your life. (audience applauds) Let me tell you, it's gonna be so easy. You don't have to be overwhelmed. If it is a decision you gotta make or something that feels really big and you're scared to make that decision, peace, you're good. God's got you.
You're so good. Peace, you're good, you're good, you're good. Hey, listen, we're gonna sing this song. Jesus, we love you. Yeah. Jesus, we need you. You are everything to us. Yeah. You're the area that we breathe. You're the hope we have. You're the fire in our bones. You're the clarity in our mind. You're the healer we've always needed. You're the friend that sticks closer than a brother. You are everything to us. Miracle worker would you meet us today. Amen and amen. (bell rings) [BLANK_AUDIO]
