Welcome to Worship Night. And tonight, listen, before we ever sing a single word, I want you to remember something that there are a lot of voices in the world that you and I live in right now. Voices that tell you what's possible and what's impossible. Voices that try to tell you who you are and who you will never be. And some of you walked into this place tonight carrying those voices. Voices of failure and voices of fear and voices that whisper, it's never going to change. But I want to remind you tonight, we're not here to listen to every voice. We're here to hear one voice. Because when a king speaks, it's not a suggestion. And when a king speaks, it's not possibility. It's not something that might happen someday. When the king speaks, it's settled, it's done. And I don't know what you walked in here with tonight, what battle you are facing, what weight is on your shoulders, what promise you're still waiting for. But I do know this, if he said freedom, then freedom's coming. If he said healing, then healing is on the way. If he said it is finished, come on somebody, it is finished. And so tonight, I want you to do something bold. I want you to make room by pushing back every other voice, every lie, every fear, every doubt, and we're going to lift up the only voice that has the final say. The one who was on the throne, who stepped down to a cross, who wore a crown, who took the nails and three days later came out of the grave. And because he lives, the story isn't over. Your story, it isn't over. And so tonight, please, don't just sing words. Let's declare something. Let faith rise up in your heart. Let heaven hear your voice. If he said it is done, it's done.

And so with everything you've got, let's lift it up together tonight. So be it, God. It's as good as done. And when heaven touches earth, it can never be reversed. It's a kingdom come. So get the liars out the way. They don't have the final say. There is only one. Sovereign and supreme. Everyone who speaks is holy. The Lamb of God has overcome. My testimony is his blood. And if he said that it is done, it is done. So be it, God. Amen. Amen. To the one on the throne who could not be overthrown, sing hallelujah. To the last and the first ruler of the universe, sing hallelujah. To the Alpha Omega, the master, the savior, the name above. Every other name, give him all the praises. Holy. God, I'm just grateful for you Come on, sing it God, I'm just grateful for you Come on, can we lift up a shout of praise to King Jesus? Come on, church. Come on, God, we're just thankful for you. Man, what an anthem that can be for our lives. And I'll just say that's been an anthem for my family, in our house, ever since we did the digital detox back in January, we've been continuing to just put some worship music on in our houses, just in the background, as we play and spend some time. And you know this, that I have a three-year-old boy, his name is Josiah, and this song has been something that he just continues to sing all the time. He doesn't know all the lyrics, but he knows this. God, I'm grateful for you. God, I'm thankful for you. Just being able to see him walk around and to sing that and to say that, to declare that at such a young age, it just, it's so sweet. And so my prayers for you and for me, no matter where you're at in your journey with Christ, would you just declare that? Would you make that a statement for your life every single day? God, I'm thankful for you. God, I'm grateful for you. Think of all the things that he's done in your life,

a time to reflect. Say, God, I'm thankful for you. And you see, we're about to take Communion, and so if you are at home, would you grab those elements and prepare for that? And what better way to say that, God, we're thankful for the sacrifice that you made. Right on the night before Jesus was crucified, he had his last supper with his disciples, and I'm gonna be reading from 1 Corinthians chapter 11. He met with them and he took this, he broke bread and he gave wine to one another and they took Communion. And this is what it says in verse 23, "'For I pass on to you what I received "'from the Lord himself.'" On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord took Jesus, the Lord Jesus took some bread and he gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, "'This is my body which is given for you. "'Do this in remembrance of me. "'You may take the bread.'" And it says, in the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, "'This cup is the new covenant "'between God and his people, "'an agreement confirmed with my blood. "'Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it. "'You may take the wine.'"

And then he finishes by saying, "'For every time you eat of this bread "'and drink of this cup, "'you are announcing the Lord's death "'until he comes again.'" We take that and we reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus took for you and for me. Knowing that we are sinful people. knowing that he died for you and for me. This is why I believe that that statement can be an anthem for our lives. God, I'm grateful, I'm thankful for you. Even if he doesn't do anything else, the fact that he came to this earth, he died for you and for me, that is enough. And because of that, it is enough for us to declare that every single day, that I'm grateful and I'm thankful for him. Because it's by the blood, not by performance, not by anything that we could do, but for what Jesus did for you and for me. And so I wanna encourage you. Would you continue to surrender your life to him? Would you give him everything that you are, everything that you have, and commit your life to him? Remember the sacrifice that he made for you and for me. We didn't deserve it, but yet, he still did. Hallelujah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Go ahead, have a seat, if you would, and let me just lead us into a prayer time. One of the highlights of our worship nights over the years has been us praying together, praying for one another and praying in faith. And I mentioned it this morning. We've seen God do all kinds of miracles on nights just like this night. And I'm convinced... It's that one of the reasons that we see that play out on nights like this and through nights like this is because of the public nature of them. In other words, God meets us at the point of our vulnerability. And sometimes I think it's not just about

the one being prayed for, I think it's about the faith of the one praying. And thus learning to pray and exercising that muscle together and it could be that God has not yet answered your prayer because you've just been seeking him privately. And tonight I wanna give you the opportunity to watch him move publicly. And let him intervene on your behalf for your good and his glory and God's interventions are always about his glory. They're for us, but they're always about his glory. And the application of all of that as we move into this time of prayer, here's the application. We need to be vulnerable before God and before our church family about the needs that we are encountering. And hear me, vulnerability is never about manipulating God. I wanna say that again, it's never, ever, ever, ever, ever about manipulating God. It's about agreeing with God and acknowledging our need for him. And so at every campus, I wanna lead us in a time of prayer and we're gonna pray over a number of things. And the outline is very similar to the outline we prayed a few months ago because of the outpouring that we saw, I really wanna walk through healing in relationships and finances and emotional needs

and physical healing and whatever it is that you have come here with. And I'm gonna ask you to be vulnerable enough to confess whatever the need is. And the last thing we wanna do is embarrass anyone. That's the exact opposite of why we're here. We're here to give glory to God, but because we wanna be the church, I want us to continually have opportunities to learn to pray for one another. And I want us to begin praying for relationships. God is a relational God and therefore the enemy of God and the enemy of his children is continually on the attack in the area of relationships. And if you're here tonight at any of our campuses and what you need is relational healing. Maybe it's a marriage, maybe it's a strange relationship with a son or a daughter or a mom or a dad or a work relationship, a friendship that's turned and gone sideways and what you need is relational healing. In an act of confession, would you just raise your hand at every campus right now, just raise it high. What you need is relational healing. And you've been vulnerable by raising your hand. Now, I wanna ask you to be courageous and stand right where you are. If your hand went up, just stand. Say, that's my need and I need prayer in that vein. And if you're watching online, we wanna pray for you as well.

Just type pray for me in the chat and the moderators of the chat will begin praying over you online. But if you're not standing, okay, look around. Look around and find somebody who is standing. And this moment always gets a bit confusing because the moment I ask you to stand and go to them, I always fear as the shepherd that somebody was standing and we didn't get anybody to them. And so I wanna belabor that to make sure that we get somebody to you, to pray with you and for you, okay? And so if somebody is standing around you, would you just make your way to them and maybe put a hand on a shoulder or arm around them? And you don't have to know all of their situation. You can introduce yourself. They can introduce themselves to you. And maybe they wanna tell you what the need is, but maybe they don't. That's not part of the gig. They don't have to. But I want you just to lift a concert of prayer up for relational healing. And so let me do this real quick just for my peace of mind. If you were standing asking for prayer and there's not a hand on your shoulder, raise your hand right now so that I can get somebody to you. Anybody, you were standing for prayer and you don't feel a hand on your shoulder,

just please wave at me. Because I do not want the enemy to gain any victory by somebody feeling left out Okay, I see I see right back here one anybody else. Just just wave your hand campus pastors. Help me at all the campuses now. I need you To get over whatever your background is some of you come from Methodist some of you come from Presbyterian Some of you come from Baptist some of you come from other Whatever that was Let's move beyond that into biblical prayer. I want you to pray Enunciate and pray out loud where they can hear you in their ear Talk to their Heavenly Father on behalf of them and that relationship. Let's go go ahead Finishes just be seated when everybody's seated. I'll know it's time to move on to the next prayer section I'm not rushing you take your time You If you're seated around somebody who's still standing just just put your hand towards them and pray for them For real breakthrough relation For real Forgiveness humility Unity You Everybody's finished at your campus just pray for somebody on another campus as the Spirit leads You Okay, maybe you're here tonight And your prayer request is financial Maybe you're looking for a job Maybe it's provision or perhaps you're in a season where you need real financial wisdom Maybe you need financial courage to take your next step of Generosity that the Lord has asked you to take. In fact, let me just encourage you In a day like the day that we live in The advice of Jesus Christ where he said, do not store up treasure here on earth. It's more pertinent than perhaps it's ever been in my lifetime.

And he told us why he said because of moths and rust and thieves. And you know what he meant by that? It's risky to store it up here. He's not against storing it up because the very next command is store it up in heaven. Why? No moths, no rust, no thieves. In other words, it's not risky at all. It's secure. And what I would encourage you in terms of generosity in a season like this, where it feels like I don't know if the market's going up, the market's going down. I don't know if this is going to work or that's going to work. I don't know what's going to happen here, midterms, this, et cetera. Price of gas, price of oil, all of what hits our culture. I would encourage you to pray about your faith and let the Lord lead you into kingdom investment. And maybe you're here tonight and he's been leading you and you just need courage to take that step. But if you got any of the requests, financial requests that I just named, would you raise your hand all across the room? Okay. And again, you've been vulnerable now, be courageous. Would you stand up at your campus if your hand just went up? And I want us to be the church again. Meet people where they are. Would you just find somebody who's standing and get to them and put a hand on a shoulder and just begin praying? Okay. And again, if you stood and nobody has a hand on your shoulder, wave your hand at me or at your campus pastor so that we can direct somebody to you, please, right here. Anybody else that nobody's praying for, just raise your hand. I'll get somebody to you.

Okay. Let's lift up. Pray the name of Jehovah Jireh, the provider over them. The one who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. The one who owns the land on a thousand hills. For the windows of heaven to open, pray that God would do that. That they could see into heaven and see God's plans and God's provision through those windows. Amen. Now, I want to pray. for mental health and emotional healing, it's rampant and whether it's anxiety or depression, hurt and maybe it's not for you, maybe it's somebody very close to you. If it's an addiction that someone you love and you care for needs to break. If that's you, would you just raise your hand all across the room, all across the room and would you please stand? Let's go church. It's a big one, big one, a big one. The enemy is running rampant in this area. Let's run to them and pray over them. Again, if you stood and you don't have somebody with you, raise your hand so that I or your campus pastor can see you and get somebody to you. I want you to pray for them that any spirit that's not the Holy Spirit that has moved on them that he would leave. In the mighty name of Jesus, every spirit of fear, every spirit of failure, every spirit of shame, every spirit of blame, every spirit of condemnation would be broken by the blood of Jesus. Every way the enemy is signing his name. When the enemy comes reminding you of your sin and you are in Christ, hear me, that missile does not have a warhead on it. It's not even armed because even our sin is under the blood of Jesus Christ. Pray for peace that surpasses understanding. Peace that is bigger than any circumstance, is deeper than any situation, is broader than any happenstance. Let me ask you, if you would, to bow your heads.

The next area I want to pray for is spiritual healing. Maybe it's sin or an attitude or a stronghold on your life right now. If you need spiritual healing, would you just raise your hand? Heads bowed, eyes closed. You need spiritual healing. You need spiritual healing. With your hand raised, I want you on your own right now, before I pray for you, to confess that to the Lord. Whatever it is, call it what it is. The Bible says if we confess our sins to the Lord, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So go ahead in your own prayer life right now, just confess whatever that is to the Lord. Confess comes from two words, homo logos. Homo means same, logos means word. So when we confess, all we're doing is saying the same words that God says. We're not making excuses. We're calling it what it is, sin. And repentance simply means to turn around. It's an invitation. Sometimes you and I hear that word repent as if it's some harsh word. It's not a harsh word biblically. It's actually an invitation where you're walking one way and God is behind you saying, no, no, no, no, I'm inviting you. Come back over here. Come back, come back, come back. That's repentance. Simply turn your attention and your face and your allegiance and your devotion back to your heavenly Father. That's what it means to repent. So turn from that sin, turn from that stronghold and turn to the Lord. Father, I pray for everyone under the sound of my voice who just raised their hand for spiritual healing. I pray as they've confessed and they've repented, you would meet them right where they are. That they would feel not just grace and not just good grace.

They would feel amazing grace on them, in them, all around them. That they would feel and actually maybe even visualize themselves being covered by the very blood of Jesus. That angels are forming a hedge of protection around them, warring angels. I pray on each of them, the armor of God. I pray, Father, on their head, the helmet of salvation. Would you protect their thought life, the attacks of the enemy into their minds? Would you remind them that salvation comes from you and you alone? It is not about perfection. It is not about earning. It is simply about the blood of Jesus. May you give them great peace of mind in their thought life that salvation is theirs in the blood of Jesus Christ. I pray you would put the breastplate of righteousness upon them. That you would protect their hearts, what they care about, what they feel, their emotions. That you would allow them to wear the righteousness of Jesus Christ. That we can't become righteous in and of ourselves, but we get to wear the breastplate of his righteousness. We get to stand in the very righteousness of Jesus. We get to be riveted into the righteousness of Jesus. We get to be called the righteousness of Jesus. Would you protect their hearts and all that they care about, their feelings? Would you put on their feet the shoes of the gospel of peace and preparation? That they would begin to run to share the good news. That they would learn to play offense in the kingdom, to replicate themselves, to run to people with the good news of Jesus. And the good news of what you have done in their lives. And may they spend their energy, attention, devotion, and time on replicating their lives and the lives of other people, rather than just running from the enemy. That they would wear the shoes that bring peace when they run with the gospel. To share the good news with men and women and boys and girls. Father, I pray in one hand you'd put the shield of faith. And as you put the shield of faith on their hand, Father, I thank you that you would give them big, big, big faith. That's able to extinguish all the darts of the enemy and all of what the enemy is throwing at them. That you would give them the gift of faith, and that they would receive it.

And on the other hand, I pray the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. And that you would give them not just general words, but specific words for their life, for their freedom, for their forgiveness, for their repentance, for their confession, for their victory, for their freedom, that they're going to walk in. Give them words that they would memorize, that at a moment's notice, it would be on their lips and on their tongue, that they could declare, it is written. When the enemy comes attacking, they would have an it is written scripture to fight the enemy with, just as you did, Jesus. And I pray around their waist, the belt of truth, that they would run to the truth and run away from lies. And I pray you would set them free and bring spiritual healing into every one of their lives. In Jesus' name we pray, and together we say church, amen. Now, the scripture tells us that we're to pray for one another, that we weep with those who weep, we rejoice with those who rejoice. But it also tells us that there are moments, there are instances in which the leaders or elders of a church are to pray and anoint with oil. James chapter five, verse 14 says, is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. Tonight we're here, and if you need physical healing, we're going to give you that opportunity to come forward at every campus in a moment. And that's what we're going to do. Our worship teams are going to come, they're going to play. At this time I'm going to ask staff and prayer leaders to come and stand at the front of all of our campuses. And they have oil. Scripture tells us to anoint with oil, to pray for physical healing. Oil is simply symbolic in scripture for consecration. And it demonstrates the setting apart for God's special work.

And so we're just going to take him at his word. And I just want to encourage you in this way, don't come and ask for healing if you refuse to believe for it. And don't come if you're not going to give that person the authority to pray for you and over you. So by coming forward, you're saying two things. I'm going to believe God. I'm going to take him at his word. He told us to ask. And you are also saying I'm giving authority to the person praying to call healing down from heaven that is available to me. Because of what Jesus endured before and on the cross. So here's what I want to ask across all of our campuses. Could you stand together? And if you want healing, would you just step into an aisle and begin to make your way to one of these at the front of all of our campuses? And the reason I had all of you stand is to make room for them to say, excuse me, and to come out into the aisle and to come and let somebody pray. And if you're not coming for prayer, I want you to practice praying. And you may not know their name, but just look at one of these men or women, boys or girls who is coming for prayer. Put your hand towards them and let's ask God to heal whatever it is that is afflicting them. Let's pray together, church, all across all of our campuses. You You You You You You

Because it's very, very easy to look back over your life and say, God, you have been faithful. And we'll sing it, and we'll celebrate it, and we'll thank him for it. But here's the real question tonight. Do you believe that he wants to be that good again? Even bigger, even deeper, even more undeniable? And in fact, some of us, if we're honest, we have quietly lowered our expectations. We believe God was good back then, but we stopped asking him to move in big ways right now. And we pray safe prayers, and predictable prayers, and manageable prayers. God just get me through this. God just help me make it. But what if God is saying, don't ask me to sustain you. Ask me to astonish you.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And what if his goodness isn't just something behind you, but it's something for you right now, for your family, your marriage, your calling, your church? Last Sunday night, I did a meeting with the generosity team for those who have the gift of giving. And you say, I didn't know we had that team. If you have the gift of giving, you can get on that team. You say, I don't know. Take a test. But I left that meeting, and it was a good meeting. The mayor said to me, how do you think you went? And I said, I think it was good. I was in pain. My arm was hurting the whole time. I'm kind of sidetracked by this cast. But I think it was fun, and I think it was encouraging, and I think I shared some vision, and I think we had a good time together. And on the way home that night, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, you are not dreaming remotely big enough. Your vision is small, Alex. And he asked me some what if questions. And I'm not gonna repeat the questions tonight, because I don't know that they were any kind of a promise as much as they were a challenge.

But he really encouraged me to think big. In fact, what I believe he told me is that all that he's done over the last 23 years is build a foundation. And when you take 23 years to build a foundation, something big is gonna set on it. I'm not joking. And I just want you to ask, what if God wants to pour out his goodness on you in ways that can't be explained, that can't be contained, and cannot be ignored? But it starts with people who are willing to ask big. To believe big, to pray big. So before we sing, I want you to lift up your faith, not just your voice. I want you to lift up your faith and begin to ask God for something that feels bigger than you. Something that only he could do. Something so big that if it happens, everyone will know it was the goodness of God over your life, over your family, over this faith family, over this house. And so before we sing it, would you just right where you're standing, just begin to vocalize bold prayers in this room tonight. Just bold. Bold prayers. Ask for something so big that if it comes, it was God. Let him put it in your heart, and then as he puts it in your heart, you begin to speak it. And as we sing about the goodness of God, don't just look back at his faithfulness.

Sing like his goodness is about to show up in ways that you've never seen it before. In these days, in these days, God wants to do something so exceptional that he doesn't have to share the glory with anyone else. He wants to do something God-sized. He wants to do something faith-begotten. And to bring his faithfulness to play in your life and on your life. And I'm just telling you, church, some of the dreams he's given me in the last seven days are bigger than all of what he's done over the last 23 years combined. And I remember when we came to start this church thinking, this is crazy to come do this. It's actually either going to be career suicide or a God-sized miracle. And I remember my toes curling over the board like a high dive going, God, are we going to jump? Are you there? Are we going to jump? Are we going to, is this what you're calling for? Are you sure, God? Can you make it sure? And backing up the board and thinking, I'm going to go down the ladder and thinking, well, that's more dangerous than going off the board and then walking back to the end of the board. God, if you are calling, you have to do some things, God. You have to move some things around, God. You have to bring some people, God. You have to bring some finances, God. You have to bring some faith, God. You have to do what only you can do. And I just feel that we are there again as a church. And what he's going to call us to is going to be bigger than anything he has called us to before. And what he wants to do through this church in the 1040 window, listen, it has bugged me forever that 97% of all church mission dollars go to where all the people are already pretty much reached and where all the money goes anyways. Don't you think that's a lousy strategy? And in fact, for years for us, it has been, we're going to send all of our mission money into the place where no other money goes, where everybody believes it's impossible, where people are afraid to go. And what he's done in that 1040 window through this church over the last 20 years, here's the thing he keeps speaking to me. You know how you get 20 years of experience in the Middle East? 20 years. You can't clip out on it. You can't skip that. You can't figure it out. You just keep going. You just keep going. You just keep going and building relationships and funding things and trying things and asking God to do things. And all of a sudden we now have that kind of favor where we are invited actually to go build a church in the new capital of New Cairo. In a Muslim state, and some of you been there, do you know how big of a deal that is?

And by the way, that's not something that we can just pass on to some other church. No other church is invited. We've got some things staring us in the face that we don't know how to do. With all of the expertise in this place, we don't know how to do it. God has to do it. And he's going to call us one step at a time. And as we pray and ask him to do big, big things, I want you to sing like his goodness is about to show up in ways that you've never seen it before. Let's lift it up.
