The gospel doesn’t promise a life without pain. It gives us hope in the middle of it. In 2 Samuel 12, David faces unimaginable loss and has a decision to make: will his pain cause him to stop seeking God, or lead him into deeper trust and surrender?

Grace doesn’t disappear when pain enters our lives, and God’s character doesn’t change when our circumstances do.The gospel includes suffering, but it ends in resurrection. Because the tomb is empty, pain does not get the final word.
