What’s Really Going On? // Missing Peace (Part 1) // Pastor Tim Ross
WEEK 1: THE MISSING PEACE // WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON? THE FIRST FRACTURE // PASTOR TIM ROSS
Why is it so easy to lose our peace? Because the enemy is constantly trying to disconnect us from our Source. In Week 1 of The Missing Peace Sermon Series, Oversight Pastor Tim Ross takes us back to the very beginning to uncover the first fracture that disrupted humanity's peace. Through Genesis 3 and John 14, we discover that the enemy's strategy has never changed: raise a question, create doubt, distort God's Word, and separate us from the peace only Jesus can give. This message exposes how shame, fear, and false narratives keep us hiding from God instead of running to Him. When God asked Adam, "Where are you?" and "Who told you?" He wasn't seeking information, He was inviting humanity back into relationship. The same invitation is available to us today. If you've been battling anxiety, shame, confusion, or wondering why peace feels so difficult to hold onto, this message will help you identify what's really going on beneath the surface and remind you that true Shalom isn't something you have to chase it's a gift Jesus has already given.Join us for the next 5 Weeks of The Missing Peace!

What's up to all of my Pando followers, listeners, subscribers. Thank you so much for investing in your spiritual walk with the Lord and that transformation even behind bars. Yo, I love you guys and I feel y'all on a very personal level. My brother's locked up. He's doing time. I want you to know that you are not alone. God is with you. And although you are combined, you can be absolutely free because of your relationship with Jesus Christ. Listen, the missing piece is coming to you and you are about to see your life go from chaotic to calm and from problematic to peaceful. Let him do through you what he's done through all of us and live a transformed life. Peace. I just want to pray and then we'll get into the word of God. Is that all right? Holy Spirit, give us our peace back, amen. When you really need something, you don't have a lot of father gods to get out. When you desperate for something that you haven't had in a long time and you've been missing something, you got to get straight to the point. You don't have no time to be trying to be like, oh, father, God, the creator of the entire universe who birthed the stars from the very utterance of your voice. No, when you really get into a desperate place with God, you just start going help. I need you now. Please help me today. The series, The Missing Peace, was birthed from my own journey to find the peace that God had given us through his son, Yeshua. He makes this plain. This is not something we have to search for. It is not inconspicuous.
He is absolutely blatant with the way that he wants us to have this peace. The gospel according to John chapter number 14, verse number 27, in the tree of life version of the Bible, Jesus speaks these words, shalom, I leave you. My shalom, I give you. Get this. But not as the world gives, which means that the world does have a version of peace. Before we think that the enemy doesn't have a counterfeit to anything that God gives, the enemy does have a version of peace, but it is temporary. What Yeshua is saying here is that I am leaving you a shalom that is eternal. I am leaving you a shalom that is going to last. It will not be contingent upon the day or how you feel, how much money is in your bank account. Shalom, I leave you. My shalom, I give to you, but not as the world gives. Then he says this, do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. Now this is what got me. There's no way that Jesus can make that last statement if he means for us to think that this peace has something to do with a feeling. It has nothing to do with chill bumps or if Pastor Rose sung your favorite song or if the air conditioning settings are just right or if you have enough money in the bank account or if the person that you like likes you back or if you got the promotion on the job or if you have a job at all. He says, let not your heart be troubled or afraid. What he means then is that I'm giving you something and leaving you something that you are going to need on your worst day. Out of all the things that Yeshua could have left us, he leaves us peace. How come it's not wisdom? How come it's not revelation? We need that. How come he doesn't leave us a great heaping deposit of resources?
Out of all the things he could have left us, he said here's the thing you're going to need most when I leave. You're going to need peace. What's going to literally make you stand out from all of the other people that you're living with in your present day is that you are. going to be calm while they are crashing out. Y'all are gonna be going through the same exact experience, but you're going to be having different dispositions in the experience. So all of y'all could've got laid off from the job, but while they're panicking, you have peace. Everybody could've been going through relationship problems, but while they are crying, you have peace. The peace of God passes all understanding and guards your heart and your mind. Now, remember, he left it for us, and he literally says, I give it to you. Then how did we lose it? And I'm talking about like, in the year of our Lord, 2026, right now. There are so many people who are not at peace. They have enough peace to get through the day, but if traffic is too heavy, somehow they lose their peace. They have enough peace to get through the day, but if they decide to scroll through their timeline and see a post that bothers them, they lose their peace. They had a good day at work, but as soon as they walk in the door,
they have somehow lost their, why is it, how is it, it's so easy to lose. How are we losing our peace that quick over stuff that God is looking over the balcony of heaven and going, what is that? I mean, can we just be honest for a moment? We live in a very good country. I mean, Pastor Amberly just got back from the other side of the world. She was in Africa for a month. There's some people on the continent of Africa going through things that we have not experienced on our worst day. I'm not trying to dismiss your experience by showing you somebody on the other side of the world. I do just want you to compare for a moment what we call a bad day and what we're losing our peace over. But I don't blame anyone in this room, including myself for the days that peace is hard to grasp because we are not the original ones that lost it. Peace wasn't just lost when you lost your job or you got the divorce or you got a bad doctor's notice or you found out that you had something foreign in your body. It wasn't birthed out of the disappointment that you've had with a child or a situation that's going on at your job. The wrestlings that you're having, the inner turmoil, the wrestle that you might be having with God in this moment, still trying to hold onto your faith
even though you are fighting disbelief on every side, you didn't just lose it. You're not the first to have to go search for it. No, this started way before you. This started way before me. This goes all the way back to the book of Genesis. We lost this in the garden. Therefore, we have to go back to the garden to figure out why we lost it in the first place. If you're taking notes on this message, this first message in this six-week series is entitled, What's Really Going On? And I feel churchy today, so just look at your neighbor and just tell him, what's really going on? What's really going on? I know there's seven introverts in here, like, please God, no, I don't wanna look at my neighbor. I don't have a neighbor to my left or my right. I sat in the back on purpose. Look at your other neighbor. Look at your other neighbor, say, other neighbor. Thank you for brushing your teeth. That way when you say hallelujah, that does not torture me. God bless you, thank you. Look at your other neighbor, say, other neighbor. What's really going on? That's the question we gotta answer. We have to answer the question of what's really. going on.
Genesis chapter number two, verse number 25 is the crescendo of God's creation. He has spent six days creating the heavens and the earth. He has separated land from water. He has separated light from darkness. He has separated air and space. He has made galaxies and cosmos and terrain and birds. And I mean, just a show off. God is an absolute show off. When you look at his creation, he's just showing off. His creative power was so magnanimous that the stuff that he created, he just got bored and it just started looking ridiculous. Have you seen an octopus? After all them beautiful fish he made, he was just like, just put eight legs on it and give it some tentacles and let it be able to squeeze into a water bottle. I don't care, I'm just. Do you know we're still finding stuff he created and looking at it and going, what is this? We still finding variations of frogs and monkeys and cats and if you go deep enough into the sea, you seeing stuff that's never seen light. The first time you put light on it, it's looking back at you like, what are you doing down here? And you're like. Wow.
He made everything and his crescendo was a man out of dirt. The crescendo of his creation was to pull man out of dirt and breathe into this man, the breath of living life and the man became a living soul. He named everything that was on the earth at the time, but he found no suitable help meat for himself. It was God who said, it is not good for this man to be alone. It was not Adam's decision. It was not Adam's recognition. It was God's. God was the one who said, it is not good for this man to be alone. Now there's a lot of people that think that this is merely a marital statement, but it's not just a marital statement. It's a relational statement. None of us were created to live life alone. I know you think you're a loner. I know you want to be left alone. I know you think you need to be left alone, but here's what happens to people who are left alone. They go crazy. Do you know even in the prison system where you're already locked down for the rest of your life or for how many years you have to serve, even if you're on lockdown 23 hours a day, they let you out for an hour. But even in the prison system, if you decide to do the worst thing of the worst
already in the prison system, they have another punishment for you and it's called solitary confinement. And they put you in solitary confinement as the ultimate punishment because they know what happens when you're alone. At first, it seems tranquil. Speaking as an introvert, I love to be left alone. I love quiet time. I love to be by myself. But after a while, I need other people. Now you might be thinking, yes, Tim, you need your wife and you need your kids. I need Uber Eats. You're thinking too deep. This is very shallow. I need other people because I'm not leaving my house. So I need some other people to help me stay in my house. So please bring this burrito to my house. Please bring the nachos to my house. It is not good for man to be alone. So he puts the man to sleep. Scripture says that he removes a rib. Most Messianic Jewish believers say that he was torn in half. And from what remained, he formed the woman. And he presented the woman to the man. And the man looked at the woman and said, finally. That's what happens when a man finds the woman that he wants to be with for the rest.
Finally, girl, where you been? Been out here naming horses and donkeys and birds, roaches, mice? Where was you? Finally, this is bone of my bone. This is flesh of my flesh. This is me outside of me looking back at me, talking to me about me. This is me. Genesis 2.25 says, now both of them were naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed. Let me tell you what peace looked like in the garden. Peace looked like absolute wholeness. Peace looked like the absence of shame. Peace looked like absolute content. We're not just talking about how you feel on the inside. We're talking about your entire environment being at peace. There was no threat coming to you. They were naked, and they were not ashamed. I love how TOV introduces Genesis chapter number three and verse number one. But the serpent was shrewder than any animal of the field that Adonai Elohim made. So it said to the woman, did God really say, you must not eat from all the trees of the garden? Did he not really say? The woman said to the serpent, of the fruit of the trees, we may eat, but of the fruit of the tree, which is in the middle of the garden, God said you must not eat of it, and you must not touch it,
or you will die. The serpent said to the woman, you most assuredly won't die. For God knows that when you eat of it, the eyes, your eyes will be open, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. Now the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a thing of lust for the eyes and that the tree was desirable for imparting wisdom. So she took of his fruit and she ate. She also gave to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were open, and they knew that they were naked, so they sewed fig leaves together and made for themselves loin coverings. And they said, and they heard the sound of Adonai Elohim going to and fro in the garden in the wind of the day. So the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Adonai Elohim in the midst of the tree of the garden. Then Adonai Elohim called to the man and said to him, where are you? Then he said, your sound. I heard it in the garden, and I was afraid because I am naked. I hid myself. Then he said, who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree from which I commanded you not to eat? Then the man said, the woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate. Adonai Elohim said to the woman, what did you do?
The woman said, the serpent deceived me, and I ate. I want you to imagine for a moment that you have been experiencing the incredible peace of God in such a way that you can be completely naked and not even know you're naked. This is the same posture that babies have because babies are born in innocence. They are born without shame. They have no idea what is right and wrong. It's the closest thing to Eden that you can get is when you birth the baby, and the first six, seven, eight, nine months, the first year, two years, they are living in what Eden was always supposed to be. You can't get a baby to have shame if you paid them. Babies will just walk out in front of your company like, Mama! Mama! I'm hungry. Boy, put some clothes on. They don't know. And it's equal between the little boys and the little girls. The little girls come out, mommy, mommy. Why? They have no shame. Now, imagine if you had that type of unashamedness as an adult. In the presence of God, there was no shame. They could look at each other's nakedness and behold the beauty of it without even thinking. They had no foreign thoughts in their mind. They were at complete peace.
And Satan hates peace. Satan hates peace so much that he started to observe where Eve was going. He started to observe Eve's behavior. He noticed something before he said something. This is what the enemy does with all of us. He starts to study our behavioral patterns. Ooh, they going over near that tree a lot. I wonder why they like that tree so much. I wonder what I get. Ooh, that's a tree that he told him not to touch. She over there a lot. She's not touching it. She's not eating of it, but she sure is close. What is it about us that even when we have all the peace and even when God has blessed us with so much, we want the thing he told us we can't have? Anybody beside me can admit that God has blessed me with a lot and still there's something on the inside of me that wants to go near the thing that he told me I should not touch? Anybody beside me ever been in that season of life where you got everything? If somebody were to ask you, man, why are you over here by that tree? Don't you have enough? And you're like, yeah, I do. Them mangoes is hitting. I like the mangoes and I like the apples and the pears, they're nice. I love me a plum, but this one over here. Eve never said anything out of her mouth to confirm the desire, but her body was telling on her. Her location was telling on her. Even though she wasn't saying she wanted it, her body was showing by proximity. There's something about this that I'm so intrigued by, that even though I have all
these other options, I've disregarded them because I want that one. So the enemy, Scripture says, who is the shrewdest of all the creatures that God had made comes out of nowhere. And here's the thing, if you go back to Genesis 3, 1, here's the thing that I don't like about Satan at all. I know that he's a liar, he's the father of lies. I know he's a deceiver, he sows discord among the brethren. I know all of that, but I'm going to tell you what else I don't like about this fool. He is rude, completely impolite. Who starts off a conversation like this? But the serpent was shrewder than any animal of the field that Adonai Elohim made. So he said to the woman, this is your first interaction with this woman. It is not, hello, how are you? Good to meet you. My name is, it is. Did God really say? We've never talked before. We've never had a prior discussion. I want you to imagine if you were in aisle 7, trying to choose between sourdough or like multigrain. My brother said he hates like Ezekiel bread because he said, why is there so much cereal on top of that bread? When I tell you I was weak when he said that? I don't like that bread, it got a bunch of cereal on top of it. I said, boy, if you don't shut up. I want you to imagine if you were by yourself and nobody around you and you trying to decide between sourdough or Ezekiel bread and somebody just walks up behind you and says, did God say you could not have any bread? First of all, who are you? Who are you talking to?
He gets them to question, did God really say, you must not eat from all the trees of the garden? He asked a question to raise a doubt. See, ladies and gentlemen, I believe that we start losing our peace when we start questioning stuff that God has already told us that we should not eat. Eat. We start losing our peace when we wanna partake of things that God has already set a boundary around because he knows better than us what we need and what we don't. Do you not know, I'm so glad I got six weeks because I ain't gotta like rush and be done. Ladies and gentlemen, do you not know that you were never supposed to learn by experience? I know we've all heard that experience is the best teacher. But I need you to know from the beginning, we were never supposed to learn from experience. We were always supposed to learn by faith. We were never supposed to touch the stove to know that it was hot. We were supposed to believe the one that knew the stove was hot and never touched the stove. Trying to help somebody. We were always supposed to learn by faith. The stove is hot. Well, how do you know if you never touched it? Because my daddy told me so. Well, that fruit is delicious.
You should eat it. Well, I can't eat it. Well, why don't you eat it? Because my daddy told me that I would lose something if I ate that fruit. Well, how do you know if you've never ate it? Because I believe what he told me. We were never supposed to learn from experience. We were supposed to learn by faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We should walk by faith and not by. The woman said to the serpent, of the fruit of the trees, we may eat, yes, but the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God said, get this, you must not eat of it and you must not touch it or you will die. This is how Satan knew that Eve was ripe for disobedience because she added something to God's word. Adonai Elohim said, the day that you eat thereof, you will surely die. When Eve repeats to the serpent what Adonai Elohim said, she added something to it. He said we should not eat it and we shouldn't even touch it. The enemy's waiting to know if you know God's word or not. He wants to know if you add something to it or take something away from it because in the moment that he knows,
oh, I got them to add something to it or I got something to take away from it, he knows that you can compromise because you don't know what he actually said, you're starting to add stuff to it. She was never gonna die if she walked past it and picked it up and threw it in the bushes. She was only gonna die if she took part of it and ate it. But the moment she added something to God's word, he knew, oh, I got her. She thinks she knows her book. This is why we need a generation that's biblically literate. This is why before you get anything, you need to get the word of God. And this is why I read you the word of God because only the word of God is what you have to stand on on the nights that you need to know if he is real or not. You don't need a motivational speech. You don't need no inspirational word. You need to stand on God's word because God's word is the only thing that will not fail. But if you only heard the word but you didn't read the word, that's when you start messing up the word. He never said you don't have to touch it. He said, don't eat it. Because she didn't know her word, he started to mess with the words. Hear me, because she didn't know the word,
he started to mess with the words. Here's what he said. The serpent said to the woman, you most assuredly won't die. And this is what makes him a deceiver in this moment and not a liar. There was a difference between deception and a lie. A lie. is absent of truth. Deception has a little shred of truth in it. She was absolutely right. The serpent was absolutely right. You won't assuredly die. What she was thinking was, I'm just going to drop dead. What she didn't understand is that she was going to start dying. Who has a cell phone in this room? Pull it out real quick. Pull it out. Pull it out. Pull it out. Pull your cell phone out. Put it up in the air. Put it, put it, put it, put it. I don't care if you're Android or Apple. I don't care. Nobody's going to get rebuked for investing in a green robot. I don't care. I don't care. OK.
Right now, you hold it up with confidence, huh? Your phone is dying right now. Wow. Your phone is dying right now. Now, some of you all are like, I'm at 99%. Bless God. Phone ain't dying. I can watch a whole movie. Why did I say that like that? I don't know. I felt it. That's what it was. I can watch a whole movie right now. I got 99%. I can listen to my whole playlist thrice. But there's somebody else in here that has 15%. And you like, I'm conserving my battery. I'm only taking important phone calls. I won't even text message you right now. I got an older model. It'll drain my battery if I text back to you. I'm only at 15%. My charger's in the car. I need some time. Some of you all are real confident because you got a whole battery pack connected to your phone. You like, I got plenty of charge. It's still dying. And it's dying because it's not connected to the source. The moment you disconnect it from the source,
it starts dying. So the enemy deceived her into thinking that she would not surely die. Yes, he was right in that she wouldn't drop dead. But she did start dying because her disconnection was her disobedience. He says to her, for God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will be open. And you will be like God, knowing good and evil. Here's where the enemy made them lose their peace. He made them lose their peace by convincing them that God was holding out on them. He gave you this entire garden, but he's reserved something. Why won't he let you have that? He doesn't want you to have that because you'll be like him. Wait a minute. I was created in his image. In Genesis chapter number 1, involuntarily, we weren't even there to say, pick me, pick me. He said, let us make man in our image. He's the one that gave them dominion over the earth that he created. He had already blessed them with everything that they ever needed. But the enemy is so good of convincing us that God is holding out on us, that he's giving you a lot, but he held something else back. And you need to go get that. He's robbing you. He's giving you something, but you need some more.
And he wants you to have some more. Anybody beside me ever overextended yourself past God's grace? I love an honest church. Anybody? You had everything God gave you, but then you were like, I think he wants me to have a little bit more. And then you got what you wanted, and now you don't want what you got? Now, the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a thing of lust for the eyes, and that the tree was desirable for imparting wisdom. This is lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life right here. If you want to know why we needed a second man Adam, it's because the first man Adam did this. Now, the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a thing of lust for the eyes, and that the tree was desirable for imparting wisdom. So she took of his fruit, and she ate. She also gave her husband, who was with her, and he ate. Wait a minute, Adam. Ooh, Adam. Child, let me tell you something. Stay in heaven. When I die, I'm telling you. All right now after I worship God for a millennia I'm going the first thousand years is the first fruits for the rest of eternity for a thousand years I'm gonna do nothing but praise his name But on the thousandth year and one day
If they made it to heaven I'm gonna ask Jesus where they at I Had to spend my whole life with clothes on because of y'all It Could have been a balmy 68 degrees all over the world I could have been riding bareback on the back of a lion But them jokers could maul me cuz of you You had all this fruit in the garden you watched your wife look Take Eat and pass it to you and you didn't slap it out of her hand I'm gonna tell you what should have happened What should have happened is she looked she took she ate and when she went like that, he should have said girl What in the world do you think you doing Instead of because he understood what the penalty was he knew the penalty was death But instead of the first man Adam dying for his wife He died with his wife And that's why we needed a second man Adam Because we needed the Adam that would die for us and not die with Us Then the eyes of both of them were open and they knew that they were naked wait a minute they had already been naked See see we were unashamed and that's where peace is But the moment we disobeyed shame came in the first fracture of our peace is shame The disobedience that caused it but the first felt experience It's not lust. It's not anger. It's not murder It's not bitterness. It's not jealousy. It's not pettiness the first action and experience of our disobedience was shame we Know we're naked and now we don't know what to do with it and get this They're not ashamed of each other's nakedness. They're ashamed of their own They don't know what to make sense of each other because they can't make sense of themselves So they sewed fig leaves together and made for themselves loin coverings They go from
the little two-year-old mama Daddy Hey To oh I can't I can't let nobody see me like this And they heard the sound of Adonai Elohim going to and fro in the garden in the wind of the day So the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Adonai Elohim in the midst of the tree of the garden can you imagine Being so full of shame that when you hear God's presence show up you hide from the one that created you Can I tell you how Can I tell you how Genesis 3 should have played out even after they sinned after Adam bit that fruit And recognized his nakedness. He should have went streaking through the garden At the top of his lungs daddy Daddy Daddy i'm naked I'm naked Ah, what is this what is this and she got those what is this? Shame will make you run from the person that created you shame will make you run from the person that created it I Never want to be so full of shame that I run from God's presence I want to be able to run into God's presence even on my worst day. God. Here I am again. I'm, so sorry I know this is my 13th time. I told you I wouldn't do it the last time This is number 13, but i'm back in your presence again because where else can I go? If I make my bed in heaven, you will be there. If I make my bed in hell, you will be there. There's no place that I can run from your presence. So it's me again, oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer.
And they heard the sound of Adonai Elohim going to and fro in the garden in the winter day. So they hid themselves. Okay, next one. Verse number nine. Then Adonai Elohim called to the man and said to him, where are you? This is the question that brings us to where we need to be today. Because I love that Adonai Elohim showed up. His first question was not, what have you done? His first statement was not, I can't believe you. He does not step in with a judgmental tone talking about, see, this is why I can't give y'all nothing. Only been two chapters and you found your way to mess it up. Because I don't know how much time it's been, so I can only go by the chapter. I'm so sorry, it's just the way the text reads. I don't know, how am I supposed to know? I don't know. Gave you all these mangoes, all these grapes. All right, only the parents can identify with me that got teenagers. I bought them groceries yesterday. How you go through 14 gallons of punch in a day? Yo, pee has to be high fructose corn syrup. What is wrong with you? Drink some water. I was thirsty. You cannot drink Hawaiian punch.
I'm not going back to Costco until next month. I'm not going back to Sam's Club. He done ate 14 bags of ramen in two and a half days. You noodle you. He did not shame them. This is very important. They were already full of shame. They already felt shame. So when Adonai Elohim shows up, he does not show up to shame. He doesn't show up to do anything but ask a question. Where are you? And this is a beautiful question that God asked because God's not asking the question because he's looking for Adam. He knows where Adam is. Adonai Elohim asked this question to see if Adam knows where Adam is. Do you know where you are today? Yes. If God were to ask you the question, where are you? Could you properly ask the question or would you let your shame become so immense that you shifted to blame? Where are you? It's a very direct question. He's talking to Adam. Where are you? And here is Adam's response. Your sound.
I heard you. I got afraid. I hid because I'm naked. And then God asked the second question. Who told you that? I mean, I made you. Fearfully and wonderfully made you. You were so pristine, you didn't need to be covered up with anything. I wanted you exposed. I wanted you vulnerable. I wanted you on display. Who told you you were naked? This is a very important question because if I didn't tell you, where are you getting your narrative from? I know there's some people in here that have started going to therapy. God bless you. I know there's some people in here that are still reserving. I ain't going to therapy. My therapist is God. And I don't need nobody but Jesus. And I would say you are right and you are wrong. Because God is the first therapist. The first two questions he asked humanity are the first two questions that a therapist asked you in your first session.
Where are you? Thank you for booking this time with me. Where are you right now? Where are you in your life? Well, I'm here, and I'm there, and I'm kind of crazy. Who told you that? Well, you know, I'm real defensive because I'm Who, who, who, where are you getting your narrative from? Because your inner narrative is actually dictating how you show up in life. So who told you that? Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree from which I commanded you not to eat? Now, remember, this is the same Adam who looked at his bride and said, you are me. Girl, you all that right there, you me. He was so connected with her, he didn't even give her a name. Except to say, you are me with a womb. If I am man, you are a man with a womb. And we're so connected, I don't even need to call you because you right by my side. It goes from that to the woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate. So then he goes to ask the woman, OK, what did you do? And she said, the serpent deceived me, and I ate. We lose our peace when we are convinced that God is holding out on us. We lose our peace when we allow the enemy to make us think that God has put something off to the side
that he don't want you to have, but he wants you to go get. So instead of being in a posture to receive from God, we are in a posture where we think we have to go get something from God. And when we turn from receivers to getters, we wind up going past the boundaries that God set for our lives. You got to remember the posture. Was Adam and Eve around on day one? Hello? Were they around on day two? Were they around on day three? Were they around on day four? Were they around on day five? They came on day six to something that was already built out for them. All they had to do was manage it. They didn't have to go get it. They received it. When we turn from receivers to getters, we go past boundaries that God has established. And I want to be in a position as a giver, a giver of the things that I have received from him. So on this first week, what's really going on is that some of us have been hiding in the bushes. The disruption of our peace has made us hide. It's made us cover up the stuff that he wants to leave uncovered. It's made us hide the things that he wants us to bring into the light.
And we cannot be healed from what we do not reveal. You cannot get God to treat the thing that you won't bring into the light. And so on this first weekend, since we got so much time to be with each other over the next six weeks, I just want to call some people out of hiding. But asking the same exact question that Adonai Elohim asked in the garden today, where are you? Where are you? Remember, he's not looking for you. He wants to know if you can locate yourself and be honest enough to say, I'm hiding something right now. I'm afraid for my spouse to see it. I'm afraid for my friends to know it. I'm afraid for my family to ever see me as something other than strong, something other than right. I'm ashamed my peers won't look at me the same. I'm a little bit nervous that they'll treat me differently if I were to come into the light and if I were to let them see what I've been hiding. I don't know if they'll accept me. I don't want you to worry about none of them today. What matters today is your reconnection with God. Thank you Holy Ghost. Even if it disconnects you from everybody else. There's some people in this room, at the expense of being connected to God, you've disconnected to Him so you can be connected to everybody else and I'm here to tell you, you want to switch that around. I'd rather lose every relationship I have right now to be reconnected with God than to keep relationships that are based on what I'm hiding and not what I'm showing. So in a moment we're about to pray.
I'm going to ask the altar team to come up at this time because I believe some people are about to come out of hiding. I believe there's some people that are about to come out of the shrubs. There's some people that are about to come out of the bushes because they don't want to be held in bondage anymore. They want to shake, shake, shake till they can break, break, break. On the other side of this hide is where you heal. On the other side of where you hide is where you heal. So Holy Spirit I pray right now that you would not let shame arrest Adam and Eve any longer. I pray for every Adam and Eve in this room and I thank you Holy Spirit that you are calling them back to relationship with you. Come out, come out wherever you are. Adonai Elohim wants to give you the covering that you truly need. It's not the leaves. Thank you Holy Ghost. Leave the leaves. He's got a greater covering for you. The reason why Jesus could promise his peace because he shed his blood. And the only covering you'll ever need is the blood. So Holy Spirit draw your people not for any man's credit but all for your glory. In Jesus name, amen. If you're ready to come out from where you are, I just want you to meet me at the altar right now. From wherever you are, you're saying I need to come out. From wherever you are, I just want you to come. I just want you to come. No clapping, no clapping, no clapping because there was no clapping in the garden. There was no round of applause to give the person that decided to be seen, decided to be heard. So in the sacred space of this moment, we just want to let people come.
I want you to come. From wherever you are, I want you to come. I don't want you hiding anymore. I wish we could hard reset and be back to the place where we're naked and not ashamed. We cannot do that physically, but we can do that emotionally. We can do that relationally. We can do that spiritually. I no longer have to hide who I am. In the presence of the Lord who made me, I get to be who he called me to be. And I want to be seen, I want to be heard, I want to be known, and I want to be loved. Even if I'm not agreed with, I want to be seen, I want to be heard, I want to be known, and I want to be loved. I'm not supposed to be in these bushes. I'm not supposed to be in these bushes. I'm meant to be out, but I keep acting like I'm supposed to be in. I'm coming out today, I'm coming out today, I'm coming out today. I'm coming out today. Come on, I'm coming out today. I'm not going to stay where I am. I'm coming out today. I'm not going to stay where I am. I'm coming out today. I don't care what relationship I have to lose. I've got to come out. I don't care who judges me, I have to come out. I cannot stay in the place, in the position. that I have been in, I must come out. I must come out. I must come out. I must come out.
I'm so proud of y'all for being this brave. You have no idea how happy I am for you. I'm telling you, I know what it is. I only preach stuff that I know, I only preach stuff that I've been through, and I'm telling you, I know what it is to be hiding things. So ashamed that I think I need to hide, and God is saying, no, you can just put that out there. I can handle it. I can handle your nakedness because I'm the one that created you naked. I know you don't want them to know, but please understand, I can know. I already know. The question I'm asking you today is, do you know? Where are you? Where are you? Where are you? You're gonna find yourself today. The real you, you're gonna find yourself. Not the fake you, but the real you. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna like who you become after this series. You're gonna like who you become after this. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna find yourself.
Woo! I'm gonna ask everyone else that's here to just stand to your feet. Let's start praying for these people that are at this altar. I'm gonna ask the worship team to come. There may be somebody in this room you have not given your life to Jesus. You've been hiding since you were born. We were all born in sin. We were all shaped in iniquity. We came in having to be covered up. We came in disconnected from God. Not because of anything that we did, just because of the fact that we were born. We were born into sin. We were shaped in iniquity. But today might be the day that you wanna give your life to Jesus. Today might be that day that you wanna reconnect to the Father that made you. And if that's you, we are so happy that you would choose today as your spiritual birthday. So if there's anybody in this room that you have never given your life to Jesus and you wanna make today that day, I just want you to raise your hand if that's you. I wanna give my life to Jesus today. I see you, I see you, I see you. I wanna give my life to Jesus today. You have no idea how easy salvation is.
You have no idea how easy God made salvation. He made it so easy that he simply says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord and believe in your heart that you will be saved. Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. You will be saved. Romans 10, nine. Oh. Father God, I pray for every person who has given their life to Jesus. If you're watching online, I pray for every single person that's given their life to Jesus. God, I thank you that they find themselves in you today. As they accept Jesus into their hearts, God, I pray right now in Jesus' name that their lives will never be the same. As they repent, change their minds about the way they're being thinking, God, I pray that their lives will never be the same in Jesus' name. If you've accepted Jesus, I just want you to pray this prayer with us. Let's do it as a family, shall we? Dear God, I admit I've made mistakes. I admit I need a savior. I ask that you change my heart, you change my motives. I believe you live in me.
I believe you live in me. I believe you live in me. I believe you live in me. I believe you lived, died, and rose again. Just for me. Please change me. Renew me and transform me. I'm yours in Jesus' name. Amen. Listen, there's some Adam and Eve's getting free today. Some Adam and Eve's getting free today. If you prayed that prayer, I just want you to text SAVE to 828282. And I want you to know that we're on a journey to find our missing piece. By the time this series is over, we are going to be the most calm, regulated people that our families and friends have ever met in our lives. Because freedom is ours in Jesus' name. Amen.
