What Does It Mean to Be a Disciple? | NEXT (Part 1)

Jesus’ command to “Follow Me” is found 21 times in the gospels. Being a disciple means learning to follow Christ. As disciples, we are greatly committed to what God is greatly committed to: the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

1) The Great Commission

The Abundant Life mission is “to see lives changed by Jesus.” The Church is meant to be a multiplying movement of disciples making disciples. Our mission is to take the good news to every ethnic group on earth.

2) The Great Commandment

The Abundant Life vision is to “be living proof of a loving God to a watching world.” When you love God, you love what God loves! We share God’s love by showing God’s love to a watching world.
