Trust God with the Increase | Mornings with Mico

Good people, what's going on? It's one last passage. I wanted to touch on around our conversation with About humility and it's in first Peter So it's in chapter 5 starting at verse 5 Just clothe yourselves all of you with humility toward one another but God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you Casting all anxieties on him because he cares for you. I was reading this passage and I really just began to like think about how in my own life I've been processing lately just recognizing like it would appears to be like a pattern and how God operates with me and in life I'm pretty sure I've shared this before but when I look at like the increase or exalting If you would say The more the advancement the progression career-wise relationally all of these things None of them are actually a direct result of my own hand. I noticed that it appears that It's like God honors my faithfulness and My surrender and my humility And There I say my diligence right in that in that season and with where I am and it's like he sees that and he honors that and that's what like beckons this response from him of like placing his favor on my life and Exalting me in these different areas increase producing increase in these certain areas and And this isn't me putting words in his own mouth in his mouth this is me reading the scriptures and then looking at my life to kind of see how this plays out and I'm just more in awe of him and just it just grows me in a sense of gratitude where I'm like wow, like God it seems like In the areas that matter to me in the areas that I care about in the areas that I want to grow in It's not it's not my role isn't To pursue more and pursue upward and pursue elevation pursue exalting Exaltation pursue increases. That's that's not that's not how you've designed this at least between you and I right like It appears that You're like no D'Amico. You stay faithful there. You draw near to me

You grow in your humility you submit to my hand in each season of your life You trust me with the timing and with the outcome That's what you bring to the table and I handled the increase. I handled the exalting And I'm just a living testament of it, right? Like I can't I see that verse and I'm like, wow, that's my testimony right there I love how in the verse it goes on to say at the end. It says and God got Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God so that the proper time he may exalt you casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you and I think that's one of the lies that the enemy may try to use in order to like derail you in that season and Because I love how this acknowledges the anxieties that you have in that season of you know Lowliness or waiting or or whatever it looks like right that season of pressure Like in the scripture he's acknowledging the anxiety saying no even cast those to me Trust me with those trust me with your right now. You just remain submitted to me You you grow and surrender you put you pursue low and I'll handle the increase I'll it's my responsibility for the increase and for the exalting That's what this verse says I read some commentary on it and it says in their suffering God's people are to give themselves entirely to him submitting to his wise Ordering of their lives and when you think about just just the vastness of God and Just his perfect omniscience. He knows all things It's like that's the wisdom behind the ordering of your lives and how much pride Am I filled with to think that I can do better with my life that I know better. I'm not omniscient I don't even know what's what's tomorrow brings. You know what I'm saying? I can't I don't know it's so much that I don't know and I just have to like embrace that and It grows you in a sense of humility to come to a place where it's like no God You do know you knew the beginning you knew the end from the beginning and that's the wisdom That's the omniscience and the end to sovereignty. That's ordering my life

When we can really posture ourselves and that when we can really get on board with that It's like our response. This is just to humble ourselves before that Humble ourselves before that wisdom and allow him to have his way with our life and our life through our life, right? That's something I'm not speaking from like, you know, like I've got this thing figured out. It's something that I recognize that God's working with me and now I recognize that I'm growing in it and I'm just growing more surrender to it because I see the fruit of it and Just wanted to leave y'all with that man as we're talking about humility that it's not your responsibility to to It's not on your shirt or shoulders to produce the increase that God has for you Your role in it is humility your role in it is submission your role in it is faithfulness in the now I don't believe that's just exclusive to me. I believe that that's something that Like as his word says that that applies to us all so maybe if you find yourself In a season right now where you're not seeing the increase or you are finding yourself in a season of what feels like suffering According to his word. It's like cast those anxieties cast those fears to him and just Posture yourself in humility in it. He sees you and In his perfect timing. He'll exalt you According to his righteousness according to his goodness according to his plan And it just takes us to humble ourselves and embrace that Solid got me out of that Solid got me out of that. Have a blessed
