over your life and the enemy loses his grip and no weapon formed which implies there will be weapons formed I'm thankful aren't you thankful for the promises of God that no weapon formed will prosper God says none of them not one of them there would not be a weapon formed against you that's gonna take you out so we don't got a worry we don't got a fear for King Jesus is right here come on put your hands together that's at the name of Jesus I love that had a had a grandmother that used Jesus and she would say the name Jesus it was a prayer I don't know if you know this or not but the name Jesus is a full-on prayer and she would say Jesus she might say Jesus you had a grandmother like that Pastor Michael I'm telling you when you understand that you don't even got to have all the words it's not how you craft the words it's not how how well you think you pray or how well you don't think you pray if you understand there is power in the name of Jesus and it's at that name that's above every name that's all you need to know that name has power man speak that name and you guys sound it's so good I'm I said this every gathering today but I'm so thankful for an amazing worship team that doesn't just sound good they sound great great but you know what I love I love that they love Jesus they love Jesus I love that watching the way God has worked in your lives so proud of you stand up here leading our church with authority I was looking over dad like that's a that's a proud dad moment like let's go we got husbands and wives up here we got wife up here husband like come on I'm thankful for you guys thank y'all glad to hear you lead us in worship I love it I love it I'm thankful man call I'm thankful I tell you this in private I tell you this after the gathering I'm like man Jesus shines through you so much man first time Sean led with our team we were at POT if I'm not mistaken is that right and I was standing back we had the curtains and he was playing but he was worshiping and I'm telling you I felt it your worship helps other people they can feel it I'm telling you his faith help my faith rise in that moment I'm thankful for y'all we love you guys production weekend and week out you got a very important job and people only know when you mess up we don't say it enough but you guys are amazing and I

just want to say thank you I want to give honor where honor is due you guys lead with a spirit of excellence and I'm thankful all you got to do is go to a church where it's not like this and you will miss this so I appreciate it in a moment my heart's full is your heart full oh man turn to the person beside you and tell them I sounded pretty good didn't I you guys can be seated you guys can be seated well we're in a series and we're gonna be in this series for a little bit family road trip I don't know about you but I've taken a lot of trips of summer we just drove Riley Grace up and were four families from the church Allen and Misty Hyde and Will and Elizabeth I'm telling went up there we were kids like Rob and Mary stuff and I was just so proud of our kids and you know it was it was a fun trip up and I thought I was gonna lose it how many think I lost it at some point how many think I lost it you had money you say yeah preach your cry I don't know I'll tell you about that one here's what's crazy I didn't and I surprised myself I didn't and you know I had in my mind what it was gonna look like and feel like and it completely there's Robin Mary it completely surprised me I was just so overwhelmed I'm not saying I won't Liberty University is the best place to be if if your college student I'm just gonna tell you that now. I love other colleges may not be God's will for your life I'm not saying it is for everyone But I when you you know the Bible says taste and see that the Lord is good You don't know till you know and so just being there now. I've been taking students Since 2003 and now to go as a father there was nothing to cry about I just like I did tear up at one moment There's I see I see you guys I teared up at one moment I was looking and I came in have brought some Starbucks in and they had said everything up perfect and You know, it's interesting the difference between guys rooms and girls rooms That you had these two where we were at they got you know stuff all over, but it was the garage and the garden and The sign for the garden look like a garden It was beautiful and Rob is you so brilliant brilliantly pointed out. It looked like the garage They were like last minute they were like who were supposed to have a sign

The garage, you know Hey, yeah, but there's just so much joy in our heart and That there where they're supposed to be and so thankful, but I came in and I looked and Riley had her picture when she's a little girl I always carry her on my shoulders And I carry on my back and her senior year Pictures at the beginning of the year. I can't believe here. It is a year later. They were taking Cheerleading pictures at the beach. I'm like hop on my back and that pictures on her desk when I saw boy I teared up. I was like But um road trip, so I think she was ready for us to leave Really do they made it up to you I think she's ready for us to leave We're saying a bond big hugs and everything and then we surprised her with a laptop She never had one we give her a laptop and so what we were leaving like, you know, we're turning around one more time We love you. Love she's on her laptops and then I love y'all So we get in the car and stuff like oh my gosh got her AirPods She's gonna need those so there Riley's coming out of the car and she's like happy bubbly, you know And she gets in love y'all. Thank you so much. She's just walking. She's a bebop and back and we're like You know, you know, you know, and she never turned around She just kept going I didn't look this stuff. I was like I think she's ready for us to leave You know, I was trying to get money. I was trying to raise money To drive back, you know, we found a cardboard sign. It says anything helps We had some fun moments then we went out of joy We had a great time and I got to have lunch with Jacob and got to see his dorm and so cool He's got one of you into the football stadium like just amazing east the East Campus if I remember correctly And then I had to drive back so steps like I'll drive first And I was like, no, I got this babe. I got this and she's like, no, no, let me drive I know that just clear my head. This is good, you know, it's just got a lot to think about so anyhow So we'll drive get to Gatlinburg She got a mastermind finishing today with Pastor Nicole and some business women and pastors and so really powerful It's good. Don't just work in it work on it. That's a secret no matter what you do be your best

So no matter what you do don't just work in it take some time to work on it And that's what she's doing. I'm glad she's come back tonight, but I'm gonna drop her off and Truth is she doesn't like Bucky's as much as I do I didn't know why But you can get Dear Corn and Beef Cherokee and like come on some good potato chips Cotton can't come on. What can you not get at Bucky's? You know what I'm saying that they even got deer stands I mean come on you get gas come on, you know, and so anyways, I dropped off before I saw it I was like I'm gonna get gas there later. I like to clean restrooms. You like to clean restrooms I like to clean restrooms if you build it they will come evidently because there's like places for 2,000 cars to get gas and it's normally full and so I'm there I'm there I'm getting gas and Radiator we had a little problem with a leak, you know and taking it to the same people twice and it's still doing the same thing in sanity I was doing the same thing expecting different results. So we're not going back to that one But anyways, so I got gas to get and I pull out Fiji water now I had I had Fiji water with me I'm bushy about my water. I just don't apologize for it. I like good water good tasting water I don't like the nasty stuff. I like the taste of you sure this is water. I like good water Well, I need some water in the radiator and so I come what pops? and they're sweating as I'm pouring this bougie water into the radiator but they didn't know it was tap water it just was a Fiji bottle yeah because that's how we roll baby that's that's not that I don't drink it but my radiator does and so so I'm pouring it in there watching as it's two bottle three bottle four bottles five bottle that radiator was thirsty I get ready to leave I eat I eat eat good I eat the sandwich I'm like this is just good and and I'm like you know what I'm probably gonna go to the bathroom let's let's do that let's just check it all off why don't we do that and I got a long trip got eight hours in front of me it was 7 p.m. and um don't have to drive all night did want to get back and no the older you get no bed like your bed if you don't know Tempur-Pedic I'm just saying save your pennies is worth it and so I'm like no I want to sleep in my own bed I don't care if I get back in five in the morning which I did I'm gonna sleep in my bed and so anyhow I use a restroom wash my hands y'all to use y'all to wash your hands when you use a restroom and uh just that's just for free that's for free it's from yeah it's just for free some yeah some people don't it's a good thing to do and so anyways so I get in the car realize I hear this still small voice your phone and I don't know where my

phone is I'm at buckies with God and everybody and I tear my car apart we got some stuff that went to Liberty and some things they made it back and I'm tearing the car apart because I'd gotten in the back seat and I'm getting drinks out of the coat all the I'm looking looking looking I can't find it guys I was there at buckies for two hours two hours I still got an eight hour trip can't find my phone I humbled myself went in talk to the person at the register they call the manager managers like you don't have nothing to worry about people here at buckies are honest I'm like I'm a pastor I'm like one time at church in Tampa I have my bible pastor Timothy J's in pain and I have my phone on top of it I sat it down to turn around and shake hands then I left my bible and stole my phone that happened so I'm like God please I'm praying it's one of those Jesus prayers Jesus I just got this phone it's like a month old I don't want to buy a new phone I want to go to the process I'd rather buy a car than a phone yeah I mean this is crazy because Jesus I really start interceding Jesus I need my phone please help me and the clock is ticking and I'm thinking I got to be driving and sure enough I go back inside sure enough I set it down when I wash my hands somebody got it somebody turned it in there's my phone and I told the guy the manager like I got a phone let me see if it cheers I said okay he's got a hot blonde I said it's a black apple white phone it's a beautiful blonde you're gonna know her when you see her and so anyways I was like see I told you he like you were in luck and I said okay stop staring now and got my phone back and the two hour ordeal made me realize man there was a lot of time that was wasted and I think in marriage sometimes if we're not careful we can waste a lot of time because we can we can set something down that we used to pick up we can we can forget where we place something because something else had our attention like we don't necessarily always honored like we did when we started out we'll always talk to each other extend an umbrella of grace like we did when we got started and so you're gonna stay on this marriage journey it's a journey and you're gonna have good moments and bad moments up moments fun moments and down moments you're gonna have a plethora of moments and it's for the long haul and so as I was preparing this message two weeks ago I sensed the Holy Spirit last night just saying like just slow down there's a lot here there's a lot here slow down don't just try to get through this this is gonna help a lot of people and I understand there are people here like maybe you did commit adultery maybe you're here and your partner stepped out your spouse stepped out on you and the brokenness

and the shame and the weight the hurt and you know what that feels like maybe you're here and you're on the edge you're being tempted to step out maybe you're newlyweds and you're like I don't get it like this is amazing I do weddings and I talk about now you know from now it's your husband wife now you get the thrill of living together day after day after day after day after day after day but God wants them to be good days and so the way God designed marriage by the way he gets to define what he created that marriage is his so no one else gets to redefine marriage because no one else invented it they weren't there when God invented it or ordained it and he brought a a woman to become a wife to Adam and it only cost Adam a rib I think that's the best deal ever in the world are you kidding me he got woman it just cost him a rib and so I love how the holy spirit is leading us because last night I've had much scriptures picked out last night since the holy spear saying go to Peter so the message I'm what was gonna preach last week I told you about I was gonna preach it this week I'm gonna preach that one next week and we're gonna look at first Peter chapter 3 and it starts out like this look at it first Peter 3 it says in the same way now whenever you come across words like that in the same way that means you need to put it reverse and back up that means you miss some things so I'm gonna give you a little um cliff note version but your homework is go back and read first Peter chapter 2 in first Peter chapter 2 God says he established authority we ought to honor and obey authority unless it's contrary to God we ought to honor and obey authority what if they don't deserve it what if you don't deserve it none of us deserve it I told the Lord this morning on the way here I say God I just want to say thank you one more time I don't deserve this I don't deserve to get up here and preach I'd never have and I never will but I'm thankful that not only did grace save me I'm thankful that grace called me and I'm thankful that grace will sustain me Philippians 1 6 he he does began a new thing a good thing in you he will perform it until the day Christ Jesus comes back what God starts he finishes God doesn't get sidetracked God don't forget are you with me so wherever you are today if you're single you're like I'm not married it'd be five years pay attention now because you're gonna need it later if you're married you're like I've already given up hope I've already written it off I'm done we're living together and it is what it is and it's never gonna change let me tell you something there's no marriage Jesus can't mend there's no marriage Jesus can't heal there's no marriage Jesus can't raise from the dead same power that brought Jesus back alive is the same power that can resurrect your dead boring marriage that you think is over God says it's not over so we're gonna

look at this so chapter two is talking about authority teach your kids to respect and honor authority if you as a parent talk bad about authority guess what they're gonna do so honor authority it was God's idea and in life sometimes we cannot get over what we need to step over because we're not willing to get under what God has put over us and I'm talking about for this authority if you got authority issues you really got an issue with the highest authority and so God is the God of authority he moves that way he created everything that he did he did in structure in order and so chapter two God is saying this is authority and authority is from me and even when they're not right you be right so even when your boss isn't right don't you get bent out of shape because your boss isn't right but if we're not careful we can complain we can gripe we can gossip we can slander about the boss and then like who really has a bigger issue your boss or you see what I'm saying and so we picked this text up and now in the same way just like I taught you authority is for me honor and obey authority unless it's contrary if the government says you're not allowed to pray we're gonna be like Daniel and we're gonna pray three times a day because we were doing it before and you're not gonna keep us from talking to the Lord are you with me right we're gonna we're gonna do that if it becomes illegal to share our faith we're still gonna for I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ the Romans 1 16 first the power of God to everyone that believes to the Jew first also to the Greek I'm not gonna stop living for Jesus but if you're not trying to keep me from living for Jesus I'm gonna definitely I'm gonna obey and I'm gonna take the next level I'm gonna honor and so now we step out of all authority comes from God even when it's not they're not right you be right don't you be wrong just because they're wrong don't repay evil with evil no no you repay evil with good and so now let's talk about marriage in In the same way you wives, these are the words of God, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. God bless you who said that. And God bless that was a woman and not a man. 'Cause that shows you get it. And in the Bible, they would anoint people from the head down and when they would anoint them, the oil which represented the spirit of God being upon them would drip from the head down.

And the Bible says it'd drip all the way down the beard. Will you got a pretty awesome beard? But Aaron had a better one 'cause Aaron's beard went to the ground 'cause you got a gnarly beard. But it flowed, it flowed. The 19 flows down, the structure that God rolled out, just like kids shouldn't be bossing their parents around, that's out of order. The Bible says, why have you must accept? Why does God say you must accept? Because you don't wanna accept it. Because the world's not telling you that. Culture isn't preaching that. Guess what? God is still saying that. And even if your husband is not the spiritual leader, look what this says, this is amazing. It says this, you must accept the authority of your husbands. Then even if someone refuses to obey the good news. Implication, your husband. Implication, a friend, a relative. Your godly lives will speak to them without any words. Action speak louder. They will be won over. Notice it doesn't say they might be, could be, or should be. It says they will be won over. That's a promise from God. In other words, women, what hangs in the balance of you making sure that you're under God's authority, which means you're under your husband's authority

as the head of the house, the head of the home. And men, this should make us not be proud. This should make us be humble. This should, this weight should drive us to our knees. Because without power that comes from our knees, we ain't able to press this one. And so it goes on in such a powerful text. They will be, not might be, but they will be. Your actions are gonna speak louder in words, how? Buy, go back, thank you. Buy observing your pure and your reverent lives. Women, there's power. God in the Bible doesn't be little women. God elevates women. In a culture, in a day and age, we're women. We're looked down on women. We're lesser than women. We're looked at as weak. Jesus says, oh no. I'm gonna let Mary Magdalene used to have seven demons. She's gonna be the first evangelist in the Bible to preach the resurrection of Christ. (congregation applauding) And that wasn't happenstance. So if Jesus didn't have a problem with a woman preacher, I don't got a problem with a woman preacher. If you got a problem with a woman preacher, take it up with Jesus. 'Cause he designed the whole thing. Mary Magdalene was gonna be the first one to go tell the men.

That is really good. Think about it when the holy Trinity is sitting together and they're like, oh, that's good. Wait till Peter, James and John get a load of this. Mary Magdalene, the one that used to be crazy. The one used to be filled with spirits comes and preaches. The resurrection. Just think about that. So we don't go with tradition. We don't go with religion. We go with Jesus. On that rock, I stand. So their reverent lives, you observing them, watch this. And then it says to women, it says this, don't be concerned about the outward beauty. It doesn't mean don't think about it. Don't worry about it. Look what it says. Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles. Expensive jewelry are beautiful clothes. So some denominations are like thou shall not wear makeup. Thou shall not fix your hair. Just ascend to have jewelry. Don't do anything that make you look nice. Look really weird and then go tell people Jesus loves them. 'Cause they're gonna want some of that. He's saying don't, there's something greater than that. So our focus, look, keep reading, our focus, you should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within.

There's something greater there. There's an inner beauty that will outshine any beauty. Are you with me? And by the way, tell your neighbor, look at him right now and say I'm beautiful. Beautiful. If two guys are sitting together, I apologize. That was weird. But it was funny. God didn't do that God never had an oopsie moment God made you his masterpiece And so you are beautiful if you're beautiful in the eyes of the Creator God you're beautiful But there's a beauty like my momma used to say mama said beauty is what beauty does that's what beauty is There's there your inward beauty should be like like so bright Because you got an inner beauty it comes from within and watch this it says the unfading beauty You know as we get older it gets harder. I wish evolution was true. I wish every day goes by there's less weeds I wish I had to cut the grass less. I Wish the wrinkles. I wish every day. I woke up. There were less wrinkles and more hair I was like oh my God. I can't wait till tomorrow. I Wish evolution was true But it's not It says there's an unfading beauty of a gentle and a quiet spirit And here's the truth y'all. We all got work to do turn to your neighbor say no for real You already know You already know we got work to do But there's a beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit that doesn't mean that you don't have a voice that doesn't mean You shouldn't speak up that doesn't mean you are lesser It means like you set the temperature. I want you to understand this ladies You set the temperature at the house. You have that ability better than anybody to set you ought to clap for that Because it's true

So so when it's stormy outside you you put a little calm on the inside And not just trying to put it on you like this is just your job. We can all help with it I'm just saying there's something about a beauty and a beautiful woman that you can set the atmosphere better than anybody It's kind of like the girl storms to the guy's storms You know women they got all the things, you know, it's like Guys are like bed Hello Future right turn, you know The girls are like look I got 50 shades of pink Look at all this look at this look what I got I got this and it's amazing is amazing And we're telling the ladies. I'll just decorate it so awesome if it was us guys It wouldn't look nothing like that. It'd been a sad sad day We'd have been like Unfading beauty general quiet spirit, which watches is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old did it The Bible says for instance Oh, thank you for leaving that up there. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful They put their trust in God and they accepted their What they accepted the what say it the authority of their who their husbands accepted it because they understood God's structure So then that means we got to step up to the plate you like a lot of the women might be like well I wish there were the spiritual leader of the home I'm having to be spiritual leader because they won't be so guys that calls us done it to step up That's right. And so let's read on next first, please for instance Sarah O'Bader husband Abram or Abraham Rather and called him her master. I'm not saying you got to go home ladies and call your husband your master It's just an idea. No, I'm just I'm well kidding. I'm just says it's just humor insert humor a no No, but it says watch this you are here's the emphasis you are her daughters when you do what is say it without Of what your husband might do So regardless of whether he's being the man or not the man

You do the right thing fall under that authority why cuz anointing flows down Don't go from the ground up it goes from the head down That's the women's part. We made it Now guys God's gonna speak less words But they're heavy words Get ready for this is fixing to get real in the same way you husbands must honor your wives In the same way in the same way that they're to honor you by realizing your place in authority over your home As the head of the home in that same way husbands you must honor her realizing that Christ is the head of it all You are also under authority And so you can't be right if you're not You're not gonna get over what you're not willing to get under and say, you know what? I'm gonna live under Jesus He's my authority This is honor Honors the next level Treat your let me just stop right there treat your wife now I got dogs We got dogs. We got to rock while they know what treats are I wouldn't we're training them? Do you want to treat whoo to get all excited now like you want to no now? It used to be 6 a.m. By our bed like wake up wake up then it was like 5 30 now It's like 3 30 they're ready for their treats in fact mama coco I can look at her and I can look at her anytime during the day that she always stays close especially when I'm in the kitchen I look at her and I turn my head and I raise my eyebrows And she's like do it Say it I'm here for it She's our tootsie roll, you know a jumbo tootsie roll, you know, you know, not the long she's she's she's she's little on the on the port port porky side from all the treats she loves those treats husband's treat your wives ladies say amen First two gatherings. They missed this. I was just gonna help make sure you didn't miss it husband treat look everywhere to God It says treat your wife speaking to the husband's treat your wife and we just say amen right there treat your wife Husbands treat your wives and treat them with understanding now. Let's talk about this

Women We cannot read your mind. Yes. Yeah, we'll see where the real men are right now My dad was here, baby. We can't read your mind Stefan. I've been married 27 years and I still remind I'm like I don't know what you're thinking. You are so complex You're solving all the world's problems at once. You're already in three years Easter outfits for our kids And it's the day after Easter you got it all like I go get so so we can't do that men and seriously and women We think different how many know this to be true. We have different thinking Patterns and processes and we also have different needs. That's next week We're gonna talk about that, but it says treat your wife with understanding as you live together implication the longer we live together The better understanding we should have and in that one made it fun when you started dating You know I picked on Frankie and Kristen. They were here last gathering when they first started dating Frankie come home And he'd be like man we talked for four hours About nothing. No, no, he didn't say that he said we talked for he said we talked for four hours It was like five minutes. It was so amazing. They were just absorbing and learning each other. They were like all this is amazing and how sometimes in marriages Do we forget about that? Like we ought to still be learning see here's the truth it may sound unscriptural, but it's actually just trust me on it Come back next week, but some of the things that that the enemy uses for an affair in the right context was that the right context is actually the thing that will build your marriage and Next week we're gonna unpack that The things about like oh like this is exciting and oh like I'm learning and oh like You know, that's how it should be but it doesn't End up like that if you don't put in the work So husbands you got some work to do give honor to your wife treat them with the understanding as you live together And so Frankie told me he's like When him and Chris just started dating Frankie said he said do you know how much it cost to get their hair done? And I said I do and it's worth it And then he's like manicures are expensive

I was like there's also some called pedicures and they deserve it And they're worth it Guys this one's for you, and it's worth it Something called ROI amen right like a beautiful wife that's a reflection the Bible says of the husband the crown on his head women and so so Husbands treat your wives with understanding as long as you live together and then it says this she may be Doesn't say she is, but she may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner In God's gift of new life. So when you hear a weaker don't think less than think valuable. I Don't care if I drop the kitchen now You with me? And it says this to husbands, equal partner in God's gift a new life. And then it says again, treat her as you should, so your prayers will not be hindered. My time's up. Treat her as you should, so your prayers. As the head and the covering of the family, if I'm not treating my wife correctly, then God's not answering my prayers. And it affects marriage, affects parenting, affects children, are you with me? So God's this a heavy lift. It may look like God said less to men, but it was really heavy. And we're to love her, Paul told the church in Corinth, we're to love our wives as Jesus loved the church. And what did Jesus do for the church? He gave his life.

He laid his life down. That was a pattern for us to follow, that we also had to lay our lives down. And so now Peter's going to remind us, hey, this is for everybody. Here's some great words. You want some great marriage advice? You want to make your marriage better today? Let's hear and apply verse eight. Finally, all of you should be of one mind. One mind. It's hard when the Bible says only by pride comes contention. So pride is when we're doing this. Gotta have my way, I gotta have my way, I gotta have my way. But when we're of one mind, watch this. It says sympathize with each other. Wives, I'm going to tell you something. Just like we cannot understand you and how complex and wonderful God made you. As a masterpieces that you are, you can't understand the mind, the heart of a man, unless you're a man. You don't understand the load that we carry. And I wanna be the first to say, I know y'all do a lot. So it's not like it's because you're lazy, but most men, they just hold it all in. Don't talk about it. They keep it all in. And so the word sympathize, there's power in that. You know what the strongest man needs?

That's married his beautiful wife to set the atmosphere of calm and peace and say, "Hey baby, I know you can win out there when it's heaven in here." It's hard to win out there when it's hell in here. But you know what, man, we can come on. Give it to, come on, I'm ready, I'm ready. I'm ready for the challenge. I'm ready for the next, oh, I don't care. We're gonna, that's right. Oh yeah, we're gonna overcome. It don't matter. As long as a man, he got his wife and she loves him and boy, the sympathy is there and then men, it goes the other way too. She has a bad day. Are you just balling again? What's it this time? Wrong answer. That was a husband talking to the wife talking to the husband. No, no, no, no, no, baby, what's wrong? Nothing, what's wrong? What's going on? The Bible says wisdom draws it out. Wisdom draws it out. We sympathize, what if we sympathize with each other? What if it was like, I had a bad day? Oh, you think you had a bad day? Let me tell you about my bad day. Love each other as brothers and sisters.

This was talking to everybody, not in the context of just husbands and wives, but this means if God is your father and you're a dude, you're my brother. If God is your father and you're a woman, you're my sister in Christ. So God says, be tenderhearted and the longer I follow Jesus, the more I'm amazed at the gentleness of Jesus. It's the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. If anyone had a right to point a finger, if anyone had a point to point out all the wrong, is Jesus and that's not his style. You're not an angry preacher on the corner. Screaming all the things over you. I'm thankful that it's the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. It was the prodigal in the pigs pen when he's like, what am I doing? I've got a father who will take me back. Be tenderhearted and keep a humble attitude. Last verse is, don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate with insults when people insult you. Don't cut them off because they cut you off. It's a TJP translation. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. In other words, when someone does wrong to you, if we're not careful, we're like, they owe me 'cause they cheated me, they wronged me. And that's where anger steps in.

You owe me, and I'm not gonna forgive you because forgiveness would mean you don't owe me anymore. So when someone does this wrong, we're like, you owe me. But the truth of what God's word is saying to us You actually owe them. They don't owe you. Yeah, but that business partner stole the money. That business partner, he cooked the books. No, no, no, no, no. You owe them, look what the Bible says, a blessing. And look what God will do. This is what God has called you to do. And he will grant you a what? How many know that the blessings from above are greater than the blessings beside? I want the upward blessings. You can't bless me more than he can bless me. Next verse, please, look at this. For the scriptures say, if you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, how many want to enjoy life? Not a trick question. How many want many happy days? Not a trick question. Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and keep your lips from telling lies. This is the word I got. This is the word I got. We get to live it out, thank you. We get to live this thing out

and watch what God will do. Now, there's a way, just like there's a way to protect your house. We have locks on the doors, we have security systems, we have dogs, right? We have guns. There is a way to protect your marriage. Just like there's a way to protect something valuable when you ship it. There's a way to take your marriage, which is valuable. And there's a way to shape it. Some guardrails, some things to do. That's where we're gonna go next week. We're gonna unpack that. And I'm gonna talk about the top 10 emotional needs of every marriage for the men and the women. You know, and if you're a guy, you're like, I'm not emotional. You don't know, just hang with me, and they're different. And we think different, so we gotta have one mind here. And then we've gotta understand what they are. And then we've got to be very intentional, making sure that the love tanks and the love banks are full and not empty to protect us. So thou shall not commit adultery. Let's pray. I'm gonna say, Pastor God is speaking to me today. As a prayer team comes, go ahead and come forward, please prayer team. How many say God is speaking to me today?

And it may be something totally different. Holy Spirit is speaking to you specifically. It may, this may, you may have like a really great marriage and you're like, man, we're really good, but the word gentle hits you. The word quiet or peaceful. God, that one word is carrying so much weight right now in your soul. Let me say God spoke to me today, Pastor. Would you pray for me? If that's you, would you hold your hand up, raise it up front to back all over the floor, balcony, people watching online, panda, black water. God's speaking to me. So this is what I'm gonna ask you to do. Would y'all look up here? I love y'all, and I would ask you to do this. I'd ask you in just a minute, come forward and pray. That's the last thing the devil wants you to do. So it should be the first thing we want to do. Doesn't matter what, God's doing a good marriage. No one's here. - They're in trouble, huh? - This is not that church. Like, they're being obedient while I'm standing here not. So in a moment, come and pray. I don't know what all's in your life. I don't know how God's moving in your life, but we all have something to pray about. Raise your hand if you know what I'm talking about.

We all have, and by the way, every marriage goes through it. No one's exempt. No one, but we love God, but we're pastors. Everybody goes through it. And then enemy wants you to stop at it, but the Lord wants to take you through it. And so no matter what whatever it is, maybe honor, maybe just the word honor today. And you're like, you know what? I'm the person you were talking about. I'm not honoring my boss. Kind of been a little, you know, chipped at my boss and kind of little said some things around the office and I shouldn't do that. Come, leave it here today. Don't take it with you. Would you stand to your feet and say, "Man, God is speaking to me today. I'm gonna invite you to come and pray. I'm gonna, I'm gonna invite you to come." Not to wake, we're gonna sing a song. We always give the gospel here. We don't want anyone to come to move and be like, "Man, that was a great message on," but they didn't tell me how to get to heaven. They didn't tell me how to have my sins forgiven. So here's the gospel in a nutshell. Well, we were sinners. Christ died for us. Here's the good news, Christ died

Your shame the stain the stench I'm telling you the blood of Jesus will forgive it all will wash it all will cleanse it All I'm thankful. He is the Savior and he said for who's so ever will for who so ever will call on The name of Lord will be saved whoever will come to me Jesus said I would never turn away all you got to do is you got to come to him Means you got to step over your pride to get under The fullness of the love and the way to God. You just step over you probably I'm in the middle or I don't matter God sees you God loves you. You're a sinner God wants to be your Savior. How do I do it preacher? Whoever called the name of Lord be saved the Bible says if we confess that Jesus is Lord And if we believe in our heart God raised him from the dead we will be saved And I'm telling you I don't care how bad a person somebody is God doesn't want heaven without you That's why Jesus died God the Father did not even spare his own son, but he freely gave he freely sacrificed his only begotten son Because he said you're worth it You're in black water and you are carrying shame for what you did and you think God I mean you've had family say we'll never forgive you. You've had friends say we'll never forgive you You've had people leave you you've had people pretend like you don't even exist anymore Let me tell you something if you call the name of Jesus He will come to you right where you are And he'll forgive those sense We pay there's consequences, but Jesus can still forgive you and it can be a new day for you That's for someone right here right now You know who you are I feel the spirit of God speaking you and I don't know who you are But right now you're connecting you're like God speaking to me. It's you God is wanting to rescue With your heads bound and with your eyes closed I'm gonna invite you to call on the name of the Lord together a sinner's prayer. You're not praying to me You're not praying through me. Let's just talk to Jesus. Would you say Jesus? I'm a sinner and I need you to be my savior. I confess you are Lord I need you to be my Lord and I say thank you for loving me

Bleeding for me dying for me. I believe you rose again And I ask you to forgive me I Give you my life and I receive your life now teach me how to live in Jesus name Amen if you prayed that prayer.
