“THIS IS A NEW DAY.” Inmates Get Baptized Inside Prison ❤️
“THIS IS A NEW DAY.”
Inside Dixon Correctional, incarcerated men stepped into the water and publicly declared their faith in Jesus through baptism. ❤️
One by one, men were reminded:
“You are washed clean.”
“You are forgiven and loved.”
“There is no condemnation over you.”
“You are a free man in Christ Jesus.”
These baptisms happened during a God Behind Bars writing camp, but this moment became about something much bigger than music.
It became a moment of surrender.
A moment of forgiveness.
A moment of men choosing to leave the past behind and begin something new with Jesus.
One man shared that he had not even planned on coming.
Another gave his life to Jesus that very day.
Then he stepped into the water and was baptized as the room erupted in celebration.
This is what we get the privilege of witnessing behind prison walls.
Men whose past decisions may still have consequences, but whose past does not have to define who they become.
The song underneath this video is “Loving Father,” an unreleased original from God Behind Bars.
We cannot wait for you to hear more of what God is doing through this music, but for today, we simply want you to witness these moments.
New life.
New hope.
A NEW DAY. 🙌🏽
