The Three Crosses | Pastor Tim Payne
the three crosses, the three crosses. When we got this property, a lot of work needed to go into it. It's a campus. We never had a place. We leased this for three years. This August will be year two. You realize it's August? Right around the corner. We've already been here two years, and I'm looking out at so many people that you came, you painted, you, you know, I was gonna say spray painted, that wasn't right. You painted, you pressure washed, right? You fixed doors and hinges and put, you did so much. And the guy that bought this place and was so generous in allowing us to meet here, he was gonna knock it down and build offices. And when he heard what we were doing, this man's not a Christian, he's not atheist, but I'd say he's probably agnostic. When he heard what we were wanting to do, he gave us the keys a couple months early and said, I'm not even gonna charge you right now. Here's the keys. And that's what God can do. God can take someone who doesn't believe in Jesus and bless you. Are you with me?
That's exactly what happened. And so, but because of you guys, I told him, I said, listen now, it looks like this, but it's gonna look like this. It's gonna be beautiful and you're gonna drive by because he lives near. And I said, you're gonna smile every time you drive by Momentum Church. You're gonna smile and be like, I own that place. Look at how good that looks. And that's what we ought to do as Christians. We ought to make things better. We ought to be salt, we ought to be lightened. So sure enough, when we finished, he came back and I was giving him a tour and we came in here and he was just like, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. And we went outside and this, when it was built in 78, Methodist Church met here. They built this place, dedicated this church to God. That's important, I'm gonna talk about that today. And that's what's out on the brick, the white. You see it, there's a little thing, this was dedicated to God. I love that. We went out in the grass, we backed up and I showed him, how many know the big cross out front? You've seen the big cross? So we went out and I showed him the big cross. And then I said, but if you look at the stained glass
windows, you actually see three crosses. I want to challenge you to do that before you leave today. Just go out in the yard there and look at it and you see the big cross and it moves out. The brick moves out, the cross in the middle is the biggest and it's kind of right there in front of us. How many know it's still the cross? And then I said, but you look at the stained glass, you'll see the white, how they did that. And the stained glass is actually three crosses. And he said to me, I've never heard the story of the three crosses. And right then, man, I knew this was a moment. I knew he wasn't a Christian yet. I was like, Lord, help me. See, that's where you can speak the name Jesus. Maybe get put on the spot, you're not a public speaker, but your boss is like, hey, get up and address the team and you're like, oh, Jesus. It can also be like, oh, Jesus. Maybe you get a phone call this week and fear is right there, oh, Jesus, Jesus, that's enough. And so in that moment, I said, Jesus. And so I'm standing close enough to the cross I could touch it, that's a message for another day. But I'm standing at the foot of the cross and I get to take him to the cross. I get to tell him the story of the three crosses. And I wanna go there today, I wanna talk about it. And everybody here has a cross to pick up.
Everyone, no matter who you are, no matter how long you've been a Christian or if you've never even heard of Jesus, we all have a cross to pick up. Let's go to Matthew's gospel, Matthew 16. Matthew is telling us what Jesus said. So he's quoting Jesus here and Jesus spoke these words. Matthew 16, verses are coming up on the screen. Then Jesus said to his disciples, these are his boys, these are his guys. Jesus is speaking to his disciple. Now, the word disciple means a learner. How many just learned something? The word disciple means learner. So as a disciple, they were to learn. Back then in that culture, the rabbi would look for young guys and he'd say, I think you got potential, you gotta follow me. The rabbi would be like, I believe that you could do what I can do. Not now, but after pouring into you for a long time, I believe that eventually you'll be able to do what I'm doing. And so when Jesus called these guys to follow him, it was like, oh my goodness, someone believes in me. They've been passed over, you ever felt like that? Looked overlooked? You know, you weren't the first one to get picked, you know? And so now Jesus has chosen his disciples and he says to them, if any of you want to be my follower,
notice there's a lot of people that want to, but they don't have the will to. He said, if any of you wants to be my disciple, you must, and must is not a recommendation, it's not a suggestion, it's a requirement. You must, he said. Preach to me, what's the next couple words here? Right there, right there. You must give up your own weight. Now in this passage. Jesus is also reminding them that there are people that that try to save their life they cling to their life so much they cling to their finances so much they cling to their hopes they cling to their dreams so tight that they're clinging to it and Jesus says if you if you try to save your own life you're gonna lose it but if you're willing to lose your life for Christ's sake you actually find life what it was that mean that that doesn't mean that God's looking for martyrs even though today there are more people being martyred than ever before it just hasn't come here yet but if it did how many of us would still want to be disciples not want to I love your hand in the air sir I love that I love your t-shirt too long story short Jesus made me new to come on how many would not just want to how many would be willing to he said if you want to follow me you must give up your own way you got to give up your own way how many got your own way about you you ever said something well that's just how I am how many like your own way come on come on we have fun at this church it's okay it's good I don't know where you come from we have fun at this church how many know that you're always better than their own way come on and we do it in the little things right the toilet paper go over under right it's your own way the toothpaste there's only one way yes there is the toothpaste do we squeeze it in the middle or you at the end that we all have our own way of doing things and isn't it true all you gotta do is get married to realize you got your own way
you always better being humble best and and Jesus says if you're gonna follow me must give up your own way then you got to take up your cross and you got to follow him there's a progression here listen to me you'll never follow him you never follow him till you take up your cross and you can't take up your cross if your hands are full or filled with yourself or your own way it'd be hard for me to carry a chair right now I could do it but I couldn't share I couldn't carry ten chairs because my hands are already full you with me and when we're full of ourself there's less room for God but interestingly enough when we're fully God there's actually a lot more room for others so if you want to be a follower you got to give up your own way then you got to take up a cross everybody got a cross tell your neighbor right now you got a cross tell him you got a cross tell him it's time to pick it up and follow Jesus first cross three crosses real quick three cross the note the first ones across salvation that's where I think I spent too much time last gathering so I get a mulligan thank God for three guys well thank you I appreciate how much I owe you the the first cross to the cross of salvation you got to come to this cross if you don't come to this cross you miss it what is it prophet of man interesting Matthew 16 two verses later after the verse that I just read to you two verses later Jesus says what is it prophet of man what does it matter if you could gain the whole world and lose your own soul in other words your soul is more valuable than a trillion dollars if you could be the second person Elon was first you could be the second person to be a trillionaire and you're not a Christian you miss everything because this earth your time on earth your life on earth is but a drop in the Gulf just a drop eternity goes on and on and on and on and never stops so the cross of salvation matters there are two criminals on either side if you're a Roman no matter what you did you couldn't be crucified how many are thankful be American I'm thankful I love my country God called me I remember God called me as a young man he called me to America he called me to preach I've been preaching for a long time like but like doing it on a regular basis for 32 years and I remember standing there and
thinking I'm not enough Jesus it's my little lunch but I want you to have it and I look back now 32 years later and I'm so thankful that my younger self believed that he was more than enough so thankful I'm thankful to be called to this country I love this country my my family bled for this country I love getting the gospel out Lord just spoke to me I'll tell you about it later spoke to me when I was in New York City Something's gonna be big for our church. But just like I'm proud to be an American, if you are a Roman, no matter how bad you messed up, you knew, well, at least I'm not gonna get crucified. Like, that's the worst day. Because it was a long process. It was a process of suffocation. They'd beat the hell out of you. They would crucify you. You'd carry a cross, and then birds would come, and you'd get sunburned, you couldn't breathe, and your feet overlapping with a big spike there, and you'd have to push up, gasp for every breath. Now, I've been in hospital beds, and I've watched people gasp for every breath. That's what happened on the cross. And then they would come, they'd break your leg, so not only did you get too tired to do it, now you could not physically do it. And I'm a Christian for so many reasons. Resurrection's number one. But it was prophesied hundreds and hundreds of years before Jesus was ever born. You thought I was gonna say die.
Before he was born, it was prophesied not a bone in his body would be broken. And when that soldier went to break his legs, he didn't. You know why? Because God said it ain't gonna happen. If God says it's not gonna happen, you just mark it down, it ain't gonna happen. Two criminals, they're cursing Christ, they're coming at him. If you're God, save yourself, how come you can't? And then all of a sudden, we see in Luke 23, which gives us the best panoramic view of the cross, in my opinion, we see this criminal, and this criminal turns to the other criminal, and he's like, hey, he hadn't done anything, he's innocent. We are sinners. How many know that old hymn? How's it go? A, B, C, one, two, three, A, B, C. It's admit, he admitted we're sinners. And then he believed. Where did his belief go? It's not just belief, it's belief in the right person. You can have faith, but it's the object of your faith. He put his belief, his faith in Christ. Then he turned to Jesus, he believed in him, and he said, I need you to do for me what I can never do for myself. Remember me when you come into your kingdom. Then they didn't take this criminal off the cross,
he never went to church, he didn't get baptized, he didn't go to Sunday school, he didn't get dunked or sprinkled, he didn't get any of that stuff, he didn't get a family Bible or a little Bible, he didn't get a Gideon Bible, he didn't get no Bible at all, he got the word next to him. He was close enough to Jesus, and there's two, and Jesus is dying, and Jesus is still dying to reach more. And as he's on that cross, he says, remember me. And Jesus says, today you'll be with me in paradise. That's the gospel. Sinner, Savior, confession, I'm a sinner, you're the Savior, I need you to do for me what I can never do for myself. And this other guy doesn't get it. He stays lost. So he gets all eternity without Jesus, which is what he wanted. And you will too, if you reject him. But you don't have to. You be like this other guy who comes to the cross to salvation, and what's it about? It's about salvation. Here's my greatest concern as a pastor, is that week in and week out, people come in here and they know the words to the song, and they know the moment to raise their hand, but they don't know Jesus. Because one day Jesus will say, depart from me.
I never knew you, you workers of iniquity. And I don't think he comes like, depart from me. I don't think he's an angry Jesus. I think he's heartbroken. Because he gave everything anyone could give, but he was the only one that could give everything for everyone, and he gave it freely. No one took his life, he laid it down. And Jesus is saying to you today, pick up the cross of salvation, come to me. And here's the cool thing, he took the cross. You get the gift. Couple verses here, let's go. Acts 4, 12, neither is there salvation in any other. There's no other name under heaven given to us whereby you must be saved. John chapter three, Jesus speaking Nicodemus. Hey, don't get it twisted, bro. When I say to you, that's a TJP. Ivy, Timothy, Jason Payne, international version. Don't get it twisted when I say to you, you must be born again. And if you're hanging on to, well, listen here, preacher. All religions lead to God. That's the biggest ignorant statement you could make. Because if you study all religions, they all say something different. But Jesus said, I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life. And no one comes to the Father but by me.
So he's Lord, he's a liar, or he's a lunatic. He's Lord. So you need to confess he's Lord now so he can save your soul. Don't wait till the end, when you're judging every knee bows and confesses he's King of kings and Lord of lords, but then it's too late. Salvation was here and you wasted it. Are you with me? It's the first cross, cross of salvation. John 3, 16, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Whoever Whoever would believe in him would not perish but have eternal life verse 17 for God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world But that the world through Jesus could be saved Romans 5 8 While we were sinners Christ died for us God committed God demonstrated God illustrated his love for us while that we were still sinners Christ Died for us. Why did he die for us? Because he's for us. There's good news for you. I'm too much of a sinner I'm too bad past him. You don't know what I've done my whole life. I don't and I don't care And he does Know it all. You know what? He still wants to forgive you. He still wants to reach you It's the cross the salvation number one number two is across the dedication Dedication is the Old Testament and a New Testament principle. We We dedicate our children to God, right? We used to call it baby dedications and we started calling it child dedications our pastors We were just with out in st. Louis. They taught us that because you call a baby dedication There's only a small window, but you call a child kind of opens it up Now we love we recently I think dedicate like a middle schooler to Christ. I love that. I love that a
Dedication there's a festival in the Bible. The festival is a festival of Dedication it's called Hanukkah in The Bible when the temple was built Solomon David couldn't do it too much blood on his hands Solomon builds the temple Solomon has 120,000 sacrifices and he's like, let's do 20 more some goats and sheep. Give me 20,000 more Dedication we're gonna dedicate this and I've dedicated homes to Christ when we build our house. I took that Bible it takes me back When I was a young man and the Lord called me to preach and he put a burden on my eyes like Lord anywhere anything Anytime I surrender and God gave me a burden for America. I took that Bible and When we built our house, I put that Bible in the concrete So when you step into our house the first step anyone steps into they step on the Word of God They got to get on the Word of God for they get into our house. I love that Dedication there were Nazarites in the Bible John the Baptist and Samuel were two of them. They were Nazarite say they took a Nazarite vow That vow meant you couldn't touch a dead body. You couldn't drink alcohol Couldn't cut your hair you know and Your parents could choose it for you and then you didn't have a choice Samson you remember Samson there's another one Well first Samuel tells the story of two women one man the husband Elkanah a paninna and he had Hannah and he's married. That's right. You heard me, right? He had two wives I don't recommend it and he's married to both of them and Paninna was having children and Hannah couldn't and she was ridiculing Hannah Year after year after year day after day after day and her words were criticizing her words were condemning your words Your words either build people up or they tear people down You the power of death and life is in the tongue. Let's speak life over people Can we just be honest how many of your how many of your self-esteem? From even when you were younger because of something someone said I'm gonna put my hand in the air. How many it affected you? Turn around look you're not the only one How I'm so thankful for you guys I'm thankful for Momentum Churches where we build people up we build people up
I'm so thankful for going to camp and 14 salvations 12 dedications. Come on I mean, come on these children just come into Christ our words matter Our words matter dedicate them. I don't know about 10 years ago. I got asked to pray and dedicate Publix Anyone go shopping at Publix and we go shopping at the one in Tiger Point our daughter works there now I got when they had the grand opening of the store I got asked because the store manager went to Momentum and and he asked me would you pray and dedicate this place to God? And so I said, let me pray about it. Yes I'm gonna dedicate where shopping is a pleasure And Now my daughter works there and God saw both of those moments in real time I'm just so thankful. I've been asked to dedicate businesses and homes and children and marriages and There's across the dedication so real fast real real fast Hannah She begins praying and fasting and weeping and in a triple braid, of course not easily broken So when you combine praying and weeping and fasting you watch out your breakthroughs coming Let the devil he already knows breakthroughs around the corner and she was down she's pouring her heart out to God which don't pour it out to social media I'm not against social media I'm on it I try now to be more like post and ghost because it can eat my life up I try to get on there pastor Craig Groeschel taught us that and but we can we can yeah when when he's the only one can do something about it take it to him Hannah took it to him she couldn't have children if you're not if you're not there you don't know how can her husband's like what's wrong with you why are you so sad why don't you eat okay you know why don't you eat and aren't I enough the question a lot of husbands struggle with wives if you're listening and you can either help that or hurt that by your words and your action and he's like I'm not better than ten sons and she doesn't answer it this makes me think she's like do you really want me to answer this question she was so down because she'd been praying for so long and nothing had happened keep praying she kept praying she went one more time one more time tell your neighbor one
more time some of you giving up praying and God I think sometimes God doesn't answer our prayers so quick because God's just wondering how bad we really want it and this time she comes and she says God if you will give me a son she prays specific we pray for two sons and a daughter I wanted two sons on either side like you know come on I'll protect my daughter you know and she's she's also protecting so I got warriors on the outside in the inside my sons are safe my daughter's safe we prayed in that order man pray specifically it's okay praise praise specifically and if you've not been able to have kids I've watched God give women who have been childless for decades I've watched God Isaiah 54 1 and 2 it says Oh barren woman sing because what you want to do is cry what you want to do is just go down and depression and he says sing sing sing and I've watched women I watched a woman she was coming I don't know for four or five years coming to our church every Sunday I pray I'm believing God we prayed we nor know with oil we kept praying as you know she she she lost some babies in between and we just kept saying keep singing God gave her a baby that's what God did for Hannah and Hannah said God if you give me a son I'll give him back to you I'll dedicate him to you the words actually there in the passage I dedicate him back to you and that's what she did and this was Samuel Samuel who would later anoint King David Samuel Samuel the one who heard God's voice before the preacher did dedication is across the dedication Romans 12 1 and 2 says this Paul says I'm begging you I'm pleading with you I'm urging you the word is beseeched we don't use that word today it's a strong word it's got a strong meaning got some weight to it it's almost like a father to a son saying wake up listen to me these words are life that's what Paul is doing I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice living sacrifice holy acceptable to God if it's not holy it's not acceptable holy acceptable to God which is your reasonable service it's my reasonable service to to dedicate my life to Christ that's across the dedication this one salvation is about salvation but this one is about surrender that's where I decide I've
decided to follow Jesus no turning back that's what Hannah did and she kept her vow scripture says it's better to not vow make a vow to God than to make a vow and break it but I think it's a beautiful thing when we do make a vow and keep it and she gave him back and Paul would tell us don't be conformed to this world first to Romans chapter 12 don't be conformed to this world but be transformed think different you want to be different you got to think different you want to be different you got to think different don't be like everybody else you were saved you were chosen you were called you've been sanctified you've been set apart don't don't conform to the pattern I'm thinking about growing up we didn't have an ice machine in our fridge we're just thankful for a fridge that worked we had ice trays pour that water I'm like can we do it with chocolate milk promisely and specifically If you know, you know, if you don't listen to your pastor If conform to the mold Paul says don't conform To the mold to the culture of this world, but you be different you be transformed how by the renewing of your mind What does that mean? That means every day I gotta get my mind in the word. This is seed I gotta get the seed in good ground I can preach the same message and and and someone can receive it Someone can reject it and and it's not about the seed because this is good seed is more about the soil But how ready is the soil to receive it and so I would say to you today if you've never dedicated your life Then dedicate it Don't be conformed to the patterns of the world But be transformed by the ruling by the renewing of your mind so you can prove so you can Demonstrate you can show other people so you can be a leader an influencer Be an influencer for Jesus So you can prove to other people what is good acceptable and the perfect will of God you can be a leader I Wonder how many people here you've never taken up the cross of dedication because the truth is your hands are too filled with your own way What cross you need to pick up is the salvation dedication lastly and we're out is a cross of rededication I get this
John 21 Peter. He's he's a leader and He's he's you know Puts his foot in his mouth anyone like that Anyone sitting next to someone like that Constantly, you know, but Peter we give him we give him crap, but the truth is man Peter loved Jesus and And and Peter had courage that a lot of us know nothing about but Peter messed up anyone ever messed up before I messed up and And Peter is following Jesus from afar. Here's here's the problem if you follow him from afar, you'll deny him up close He's following him from afar and And and he's got his eye on Jesus But he's also got his eye on everything else around him and that describes a lot of the Christian Church today We got our eye on Jesus, but we got our hands and heart and head over here and and Three times he denies that he knows Jesus and in John 21. This is post-resurrection He says I'm going fishing and he takes six of his fishing buddies with him Disciples the decisions you make affect those around you. There's a rippling effect He says I go fishing now. They're theologians that believe He was quitting. He's like I'm done. I Could understand that one because of the sin of denying Christ not once not twice three times But the shame that follows sin shame always follows sin Like a caboose at the end of a train is sin and shame and And now he's fishing they're in the fishing boat and they're trying to catch ain't catching nothing and Jesus is on the shore cooking That's right. Jesus is cooking and as Jesus is cooking here. I got the fish cooking He's got what he's trying to get Jesus already has I got a word for you today. Jesus already had what you trying to get You think your greatest need? You think your greatest need is a wife or a husband your greatest need is Jesus He's already got what you need. You think your greatest need is another job. Jesus already got the finances for you. Come on You need Jesus. That's what you need Rededication Hey y'all y'all caught anything Jesus says I put the y'all in there
Y'all caught anything and they're like nothing yet. He's like cast it on the other side now Peter grabs his coat jumps out of the boat gets to shore as quickly as he can as Jesus and I believe Jesus like squeezes Him come on any good huggers here. You know, I'm talking about some people. They don't know how to give a hug Jesus knew how to give a hug. I believe he embraced Peter. I believe he squeezed him I think he kind of picked him up like Peter. I love you. I love you I love you kind of like you do with your kids when they're small and sweet I Believe grace precedes truth that I think the grace of God gave Peter a feeling that maybe Maybe he could forgive me And Then Jesus feeds him and three times he denied him Peter gets asked a question three times. Do you? Do you love me? He denied around the coals of fire Jesus brought him back to coals of fire. See Jesus gives grace But there's also truth and if it's just grace and no truth, then it's a cult. It's not a true faith. And if it's just truth and no grace, then it's legalism. Stay away from both. Go where there's grace and truth, and grace should go first. It's a Jesus way. And then Jesus holds him accountable, but more than that, it's not about you are so wrong, it's about restoring him. See, where you lost it is where you can actually find it. Have you ever lost your phone, you left it somewhere, you're like, oh my gosh, I lost my phone, but you found it where you left it, where you left following Jesus, that's where you can pick right back up. That's where you can pick right back up today. And so here's the end of the story. Jesus says, Peter, do you love me more than these? And I don't know if he's talking more than these about the bread and the fish, because remember, he was a fisherman, he was a businessman, he had his own boat, he had his own business, and Jesus said, follow me and I will make you a fisher of men. You're a fisher of fish, but I want to transform you to be a fisher of men. In the original language, it means to literally catch people alive. I'm gonna equip you to catch businessmen alive. You think catching that big fish
is awesome, wait till you catch a businessman who's building his life in the ladder, he's at the top rung, but it's on the wrong wall. And you catch him alive and show him he was made on purpose, for a purpose, and the skills and the giftedness and the smarts that God gave him was not just for that business, it's a bigger thing, it's a kingdom business, and it's so fulfilling. But Peter went fishing, said, I quit, I'm going fishing. And so do you love me more than these? Or was it when Jesus said, do you love me more than these, the six guys you got with you? Because there was a time where Peter said, hey Jesus, hey man, if these jabronis all deny you, I'll never do it. I'll never deny you, even if all these turkeys do. He said that. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty, proud spirit before a fall. Pride will always open the door for you to fall, and then it'll pull you. And, and so, so maybe Jesus was saying, hey do you love me more than these guys? Do you still love me more? And he's trying to bring him back. Now here's the end of it. He gets into two different Greek words, and it's kind of cool, because it was the original language. When you study it, you find out like, oh my gosh, I didn't know that was there. And, and so Jesus says, do you agape love me? You read it in English, do you love me? And Peter's like, yes, I love you. But when you go to the original language, the Greek, we don't have enough English words to like totally, fully, like in one word for one word, you got to have a bunch of words. And so he's saying to him, do you agape unconditionally love me? Do you love me God-like? And he needed Peter to get there, because he knew Peter's calling. God's calling on your life doesn't change. Even when you mess up, God's calling doesn't change. He was a runner. Jonah was a runner. His calling didn't change. God will chase you down with surely goodness and mercy all the days of your life, so that you can dwell in the house of the Lord. God won't give up on you, because his calling doesn't change. And so here is Peter, and do you agape love me? And he says, phileo, love you. That's the, the root from which we get the, the word Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. He answers Jesus with, I brotherly love you. And Jesus like, that's not what I'm talking about. Do you love me like God loves you? Do you agape love me? Second time, I, I love you like a
friend. Do you love me like I love you? Agape love. Lord, why are you asking me these questions? You know that I love you. And Jesus had to bring him back, because there was a time where he did love him, but because of his sin, now it was like, I love you like a friend, but I don't love you like my Lord and Savior. And I wonder how many people are there today. Like, I, I love God, man. Like, we bros. We homies. You know the t-shirts, Jesus is my homeboy. Like, we straight, man. I wonder how many people are there. I wonder how many people are like, no, I love him like my Lord and my Savior. That's the cross of rededication, and it's for service. And God is gone. You know, when we talk about Love Week, Love Week is an all skate. It's for everybody to serve God, no matter what your schedule looks like. We got something all during the day, for a week. Do you just friendly love him? Like, I go to church once a month. Or are you like, I love him. I want to be where he's at. I want to move where he's moving. I want to go where he's going, man. I want people to know, I love you like you love me. That's what I'm talking about. There's a cross. As you stand to your feet. If you're here, you're watching online, and you've never come to the first cross of salvation, today's the day. Today is the day of salvation. And there's only salvation in Jesus. And you need him. You desperately need the cross of Jesus. And if you come and you're like, that was a good word, I heard that, thank you, pastor, you're a great communicator and you walk out the doors. And you don't say yes to Jesus. And your life ends this week. What did it profit that you gave your whole world and you lost your own soul? Don't play games with your soul, man.
You need Jesus. And Jesus will take you just as you are. You don't get cleaned up to come to Jesus. Jesus says, come to me. Come to me. That's the cross of salvation. I wanna lead you in a sinner's prayer. Let's pray. You're not gonna pray to me. You're not gonna pray through me. We're gonna go right to Jesus right now. I'm gonna give you an opportunity to invite Jesus into your life right now. Would you pray with me? Would you say Jesus? Oh, I'm a sinner and I need you to be my savior. I'm guilty. You're God and I need you to do for me what I could never do for myself. Wash me. Forgive me. Cleanse me. Thank you for loving me. Bleeding for me. Dying for me. I believe you rose again for me. And now I give you my life. I receive your life. Now teach me how to live. In Jesus' name, amen, amen.
Look up here, prayer team, please come. Prayer team, please come. If you prayed that prayer for the first time, the Bible says if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. So I'm gonna ask you if you did that today, the first time, or maybe you just, you're like, yeah, I wasn't sure if I was before or not, but I prayed and I believe this prayer right here. This was for real, Pastor Tim. I want you to hold the hand up high. We're gonna clap. We're gonna celebrate. We're not gonna embarrass you. We're gonna give you a gift. You need this gift. We spent money on this gift. This gift's gonna help you. That's what we wanna do. We wanna help you. On the count of three, hold it up. You're watching online, Pando app, Blackwater, online campus, watching around the world. There's a name. The name's Jesus. There's a number. Let us know, would you? Here we go, on three.
One, two, three. Come on, raise that hand. Let me see it. Text Jesus. Let us see it. Come on. Today I give my life to Jesus. Come on. Let's go, Blackwater. Let's go online campus. Come on. I know God's gonna move at this part because before the gathering kicked off, he said, mix it up. I'm gonna mix it up. If that second cross is a cross you need to pick up, right? First, you gotta let go of your own way so you can take up your cross so you can follow him. If you've never dedicated your life to God, I don't care if you're 90 or if you're nine, and today you're saying, man, I'm dedicating my life to Jesus. Like Paul, I wanna be able to say, for me to live is Christ. Hey, by the way, this church is a perfect place for imperfect people. This church, I don't know about all the others, or why you didn't go to all the others, I maybe understand. Let me tell you though,
this church is a perfect place for imperfect people. God's not looking for perfection. God is alone perfection. But he is looking, I believe, for those who are willing to dedicate and say, I'm yours. Here's my lunch. If you've never done that, I want you to do that. And I want you to walk right down front. I want you to stand right down front with you. I want you to step out. The Holy Spirit told me, he said, get moved from raising their hand, have them walk down and meet you. So I'm in obedience, now you be in obedience. Then we will be in obedience. That's called fellowship. That's two brothers in a ship. Fellowship, going the same direction. Here we go, come on. I want you to step out on three. Come on, Holy Spirit, give them big boldness. Someone say big boldness. I want to shake your hand right here. I put a breath minute in. Come on, let's go on three. Here we go, ready? One, two, three, come on, step out right now. I want to dedicate your life to God, come on. I'm gonna meet you right here, come on.
Come on. I'm gonna wait for you. I promise you, I'm gonna wait for you. Come on. Come on. Let me tell you something about me. When I know I hear the Lord clearly, I'm not budging. That means someone needs to. That means someone here needs to budge. I'm not gonna budge. Lord told me to have you come down front. So I can't meet you if you don't come So you need to step out whoever you are Don't let your pride hold you in don't let the devil What if no, no, no, no, no, we're not listening to hell Come on, man. We're children. We're citizens of heaven. I Believe in if it doesn't happen on this time. We'll go a third lap I go 21 laps if I need to go today, we can get out go eat lunch. Someone be obedient Come on, you saying I'm at this across I'm picking up the cross of dedication The rest of my days the best of my days for his glory I want you to step out right here in Jesus name step out right here in Jesus name Come on, come on in Jesus name.
