Our Lead Pastor, Whit George, continues week two of our new teaching series, Life Lessons.

Following Jesus is a walk, a relationship built through trust, daily dependence, and a long obedience in the same direction. When life feels unclear or overwhelming, God often gives us steps that are small, specific, and doable, inviting us to bring our questions before Him, listen for His leading, and obey what He has placed in front of us today.

In this message, Pastor Whit explores the following Scriptures:

PROVERBS 16:9 NKJV 9 A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

GENESIS 3:8 ESV 8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

GENESIS 5:22-24 ESV 22 Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.

GENESIS 6:9 ESV 9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.

GENESIS 17:1 ESV 1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless,

LEVITICUS 26:12 ESV 12 And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people.

MATTHEW 4:19 ESV 19 And he said to them, “Follow me..."

2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 ESV 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.

GALATIANS 5:16 ESV 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

COLOSSIANS 2:6-7 ESV 6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

MATTHEW 6:11 ESV 11 Give us this day our daily bread,

LUKE 9:23 ESV 23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

PROVERBS 4:18 ESV 18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.

ACTS 16:6-10 ESV 6 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. 7 And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. 8 So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

MATTHEW 14:28-29 ESV 28 And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.
